Clearly the only correct solution when finding his family in a cuddle pile was to put a blanket over his rat and leave. Only to return after a few minutes to somehow wiggle himself into the pile too.

Some of the cats move, now that Aventurine comes into the pile. Jing Nyan doesn't, once he sleeps he doesn't wake up until he wants to. Or it's meal time. Once he settles in, they crowd back into the blond, giving him the warmth he loves so much.

The other two, remain soundly asleep. Sampo didn't even stir when the blanket was placed on him. Nor did Gua as he seemed too drained from the day to notice another person take refuge in his bed. But it didn't mean it wasn't appropriated.

With Ven's hand now over the boy's body, it was close to where Sampo's own hand was. Where it held Gua's hand. The added warmth did make him move towards Ven, making their combined hands come together.

All of them sleeping peacefully, albeit a bit cramped, but still fairly happy with each other.

Watari stares at the other and squints after a while.

"Why are you taller than me..." He softly mumbles. Why must life be so cruel to him. First it takes his family, then his eye, and now he is shorter than almost everyone he meets.

"Uh, yeah." He looks at the blade in his hand. How unimportant it seems now. "I bought it, because I need one that carries my weight better, but I can't get it to float."

As he hugged her, the older foxian lady watched the small kit's tail wagging with happiness and smiled at him, softly petting his head. He was very cute.

"Yay! Hug!" Gua hugs her tightly, his tail wagging happily.

Okay but it's super interesting how

Din = Power = Ganondorf

Naryu = Wisdom = Zelda

Farore = Courage = Link.

Because Din, in the hylian creation myth, created the physical world. Naryu then created the laws - gravity, time, etc. And Farore finally created life - plants and people.

Din created the body, naryu the mind, Farore the soul.

And the triforce and its wielders so perfectly reflect that.

Ganon is physical power, he is big and intimidating and he breaks things. He is cunning and determined, but that's not what he focuses on. He is might makes right.

Zelda is wisdom and cleverness. She is stall tactics and information and team work. She is a powerful mage with a spine of steel, but that's not how she'll win. She is the pen being mightier than the sword.

Link is courage and persistence. He is the wild card sneaking behind enemy ranks, always moving, plunging into terrifying situations head first. He's a phenomenal fighter with a keen wit, but that's not what will get him through his challenges. He is bravery not being the absence of fear but the triumph over it.

They sit in perfect parallels to each other.

And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.

Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.

Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.

Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.

But the other direction?

Fire melts ice, ice redirects lightning, lightning burns fire.

And that's the very essence of the triforce.

Things We Ignore

Danny learned to ignore things quickly. From the migraines and muscle spasms he sometimes got after the portal to the icy discomfort during summer months. He ignored the ache in his arm from a poorly taken care of break. He ignored the jittery awfulness whenever he had to stay still.

Then he swapped bodies with Captain Marvel and found things he couldn't ignore.

Billy had a lot of things he ignored, too: The gods constantly yammering in his head, giving him unsolicited advice; The gnawing ache in his stomach; The sometimes numbness in his fingertips; The electric buzz under his skin; The constant loneliness that seeped coldness into his bones that had nothing to do with temperature.

He allowed the question to be dodged. Mostly as Sampo did want to eat after that trip. He'd simply feed Gua as well. Two birds with one stone and all that. Regardless, his hand keeps patting his head. Making Gua’s hair somewhat of a mess when he does eventually pull away. It couldn't be helped. The dear boy was too cute not to spoil with pats like this.

“A bit tired. It was a long trip, we had to take the long way around since the main route had some issues. But…” he hand waves it off with his other hand. Mostly to keep Gua from worrying. He couldn't tell him that they heard of a Borisin attack on the main route.

“Anyways. My dear tour guide…” Sampo dramatically sighs. The hand that patted the boy's head comes over his head. His wrist was limp, as he closed his eyes. “I'm famished. Starving. Nearly skin and bones!” Then he opened his eyes to give the Foxian a grin. “So let's get some lunch. It feels like forever since I had Luofu cuisine.”

Once Sampo notices him, the smile widens, if that's even possible. The hug he's greeted with is very welcome and he throws his arms around the man's neck. The boy is also ignoring the voice in the back of his head telling him he's not worth this, that he should leave Sampo alone. For now, ignoring that voice works well.

"I know, b-but I wanted t-t-to see you. Is that wrong?" Sampo doesn't seem upset, so he's guessing waiting was fine. "I'm fine! How are you?" Fine is relative and he's skipping the food question, he doesn't want it to seem like he's only meeting with him to be fed. Yes, the food is a big plus, but he likes just being with Sampo. He feels safe and understood with him, feelings he has so rarely felt in his short life. "Did your trip go well?" The ship looked unharmed, so Gua is guessing it all went okay.
