the further ive gotten in rewatching house md, the sadder ive gotten that most (fandom) ppl's main takaway of the show nowadays (and main reason for watching it in the first place) is the house/wilson homoeroticism, because like as much as i do love that (i still remember how i felt watching the series finale the night it aired), The Gay Shit was not even on my radar as a possible selling point when i first started watching it as a preteen (i had no concept of gay/"slash" shipping until around the time s6 was airing, it took even longer for me to even begin to view their relationship through that lens), and i dont think id even consider it one of my favorite things about the show

hi!! so this isn't actually the case as while gourdy was briefly mentioned in a trial, said trial had nothing to do with whether or not gourdy was "real" per se as much as. well. murder, actually. while gourdy WAS found out to be an inflatable steel samurai this was not brought up in the case at all as the veracity of gourdy wasn't really as relevant as the fact that the witness was looking for gourdy rather than at the murder she claimed to have seen. plus this was also a relatively small part of a MUCH larger trial which for those interested not only solved the dl-6 case but ALSO marked the end of prosecutor von karma's ~40 year long record and the court records are really a fascinating read through!!

im currently thinking about how sam is too scared to love jack, while jack is content to meet her where shes at as long as theyre side by side. how everyone from her dad to daniel and Teal'c to random aliens they met 3 hours ago all assume they either are already together or should just get their heads out of the sand and make out. how during the zatarc episode when jack was telling daniel about anise kissing him by simply saying "she made a pass on me" daniel immediately went "sam????". how in the nirrti episode with jonas sam felt like shit, was leaned perfectly comfortably against the bars, and completely shifted around to get jack cuddles. how in the memory stamp episode the stamp didnt stick with tealc at all, daniel held onto his morals and fascination of gate travel, sam held onto stuff like dhd, idc, gdo, and all jack held onto was his feelings for sam. how slowly over the seasons people (specifically her dad) noticed that sam wasnt happy, and that she WOULD be happy with jack. how jacobs dying wish was for sam to know she could have both her job AND her man. how, between the later seasons of sg1, atlantis, and sgu, the more proof for just how Married they were the further the distance between them grew (jack going to dc, sam going from commanding atlantis to commanding the hammond). how they were practically made for each other. how hammond probably knew when he met them in 1969 and had been waiting 28 years for them to meet. how jack "adored [her] already" their first gate trip together. how they literally, canonically, get together in every universe. how that fact constitutes them as soulmates.

Just putting my thoughts for book 2 since I’ve read more of it (currently on chapter 28) and I gotta say Ronan might actually be my favourite character. His depth and personality is so prominent in this book and I’m just so happy I can learn more about him. Matthew (I actually don’t remember how his name was spelled) might be my second favourite Lynch brother but honestly Declan has not been trying very hard to be anyone’s favourite. I am curious about him though. I do also kind of feel bad for him because he wasn’t any of his parent’s favourites and that just sucks but also he’s a dick and I still don’t like him.

The Gansey-Adam battle is still waging, I still don’t know who tf I want Blue to fall in love with. There is SO MUCH happening in the book right now and I’m not even half-way through. I really wanna know more about how Adam’s being affected by his sacrifice in the previous book and I honestly feel so bad for him?? His POVs feel kind of melancholic? I guess? Like everyone else is having a good time and he’s just sulking because of course he is! Like omg there so much wrong with Adam I wanna hug him.

So I can’t tell if the Gray Man has a thing for Maura or not?? Like he asked her out for dinner and everything but I’m still skeptical. He is interesting though, although his POVs don’t mean much to me (he’s like the one character I don’t look forward to reading 😔) but hey at least Maura isn’t getting sidelined so much??

I actually have nothing to say about Blue because she’s honestly not doing anything worth pointing out. She’s just being a badass and her and Noah have an amazing friendship like I genuinely love them as a duo so much.
