In other news, I've lost my glasses. I've misplaced them before, but never to this extent that I haven't been able to find them at home, at work, or in our car. So... yeah, that's a huge bummer, unless they turn up somewhere random where I didn't think to look before (but that would just beg the question of why they'd be in such a random location in the first place) I'm gonna have to replace them.

I need to get my prescription updated anyways so this time around I'm gonna just do the appointment, get my prescription and measurements, and then order some new ones online from like, Zenni or something (I've heard good things about them and their prices are DEFINITELY more reasonable). I just really liked the frames that I had, so I'm really hoping I can find the same ones again or something similar; and honestly even if I do go with a cheaper place like Zenni, I need transition lenses for my light sensitivity so it's always gonna be pricey no matter who I buy them from 😭

Unfortunately there seems to be a high volume of appointments rn (probably because it's the school season, idk) so the place I usually go to is booked up until December. Then when I called another place to check their booking schedule, they told me they could get me in next Monday at 4... which just so happens to land at the tail end of a 3 hour shift that I have to do at my second job, a job that I literally only work 3-6 hours a week for 💀 Sooo the odds of that are kind of astounding (and incredibly frustrating) but apparently cancellations are relatively common so they have me on a waitlist, and worst case, if I don't get called in sooner on account of a cancellation, I only have to wait until mid October, about a month away. Still a pain, but better than waiting until frigging December LOL Like man I just need to replace my glasses, why is this so frustrating 💀

Thinking about indie music artist logan and drummer in big well known band lando

Yapping outside of the tags this time 😼:

- Lando watches from back stage because too many people would recognise him at the random ass music gig Logan got

- Logan refuses to get any explicit help from Lando because even though he could get sponsored/funded millions, it just wouldn't be right

- Logan plays the guitar (acoustic or electric?) and a little bit of the keyboard

- Logan doesn't usually sing in his own songs because he's too embarrassed, Lando thinks his voice is beautiful

- Logan collabs often with other small music artists because he needs a someone to sing the lyrics

- would Lando take Logan on his tours and stuff? Busy schedules so maybe they're long distance half the time too? Maybe Lando can't make it to a lot of Logan's gigs but when he does Logan becomes so much more confident

- Ugh idk who to have in Lando's band! Like, it's a got to be a rock band or something right? So maybe Daniel? Maybe maybe Max (it's just gonna end up being all of Lando's friends fr 😭)

- I'm debating whether I like the idea of norgeant being a secret relationship type thing, like obviously the public doesn't know but what if Lando's band mates don't know either??

- ^ bc if the band mates know then when Logan is at a concert/show, he'd be back stage or vip, but if they didn't know (or Logan wanted to be treated like a regular fan like everyone else) then he would be in the crowd and Lando would notice or try and find him in the sea of ppl

- there's a handful of Logan fans that swear they saw norgeant together and are a mixture of confused, amazed and shocked by it

- Guys I forgot the band needs a band name plus Lando isn't the "leader" I overthought and yet didn't think enough at the same time

- I can't just say fuck it and name it McLaren, Red Bull etc. its gotta be good! And obviously it's got to be a reference to something f1/quote/meme related because underneath it all I'm still a basic bitch

- okay throwback to when Jenson asked for Daniel's autograph , that with norgeant! Lando at the meet and greets and shit and Logan is in line and when he gets to the front they have this subtle (*cough* not subtle at all but ppl just assume it's the average flirty/passive aggressive fan *cough*) flirty/inside joke banter:

Summary: For Ash and Misty, intimacy isn't just a way to express affection, it's something that goes beyond a simple brush of the lips or a hesitant hand around the waist, it's a thousand different ways to say 'I love you' without saying so and more.

Just had a craving to read something of this sort, so as always I ignored all my other WIPs to spend the day writing it. Here's a sneak peak, and of course the characters are aged up here, they're in their 20s.

Everything was a match between them, just another way to keep score. Because their lives had always revolved around winning and losing in one way or the other so why should they treat each other any differently? They were chided for it too, by everyone around them, they were told that they needed to grow up and treat each other better, but the two of them always disagreed. He always felt that there was nothing wrong with being a little childish once in a while and she always believed that they had to be true to themselves in every possible way. So the game between them was always set, one of them just had to press start.

Today, it was Misty’s turn.

The first rays of sunlight poured in through the window, landing on her face in thin lines and making her eyes flutter open slowly. Next to her Ash was still sleeping, the sound of him breathing in perfect rhythm reached her ears, making her lips curl upwards as she turned on her side to avoid the light and face him instead, hoping that one look at her boyfriend sleeping soundly would lull her back to slumber as well. Much to Misty’s surprise, however, the sight of Ash laying flat on his stomach with a peaceful and content look settled on his face ignited a spark inside her, one that turned into a blazing flame when she edged closer to him and the whiff of that crisp smell reminiscent of a lightning strike reached her, it would be such a shame if she fell asleep now, she mused.

Misty let go of the blanket she had been clutching onto, moving her hand forward to lightly trace it along the length of Ash’s back, her fingers tingling with excitement as they made contact with his bare skin, she really was grateful to him for sleeping shirtless as they got older. When Ash didn’t stir at her touch, it made her curious just how far she could go before he noticed, and the burning sensation she felt in the pit of her stomach definitely made her eager to push all limits, but a movement near their feet diverted her attention from Ash for a moment.

Pikachu had woken up, his ears twitched before they stood up straight as he lifted himself up, Misty too raised her head from her pillow to get a good look at the mouse. Their eyes locked, and she didn’t need to say anything as Pikachu seemed to read her mind, in one big leap he jumped over Ash to land on the floor, strutting out of the room silently through the trapdoor they had affixed for him in the bedroom door. The little guy had now earned himself a bowl full of ketchup for breakfast today, Misty noted to herself.

Getting a lot of notes on the grandma post, so grandma update time! I talk to my grandma every day, I call her every morning before breakfast to say hi and get the update on the neighborhood cats she's feeding* and talk about what the both of us are doing every day. A few times a week one of us will call the other later in the day to share a funny story, which led to her saying my dad didn't follow instructions and me saying "Yep, I inherited my inability to follow instructions from both sides", to which she replied "You're doomed, dear" lol *she socializes the kittens and gets them in animal shelters to be adopted as much as she can. She also names almost all of them after characters from old westerns and tells stories about them like it's a soap opera

Been a while since I asked anything. How do the DMD boys feel about holidays like Labor Day, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July?

They weren't a big fan of (minor) holidays, actually! If you've ever worked retail during a holiday you know how taxing it can be, and that's with other employees there to help! Holidays in the mall meant Sun and Moon were running around from the second it opened down to the exit of the very last customer, navigating through enormous crowds there for blowout sales and managing unruly customers. It's a rough day with very little reward.

The bigger holidays were different. It was easier for them to keep a level head when the overall mood was festive, even if it was still managed chaos.

it's been a while and just wanted to write a little update here in case anyone cares (i say, as my voices rings out in this echo chamber)

i’m currently writing my next fic for my “heart full of hugot” series (it’s the taehyung-centered one titled “kilig” btw) and i’m really enjoying the process so far!! a small sneak peek, but i like to think i wrote namjoon canon compliantly in this one...

idk when this will come out because i'm slow as hell, but i'll post a teaser for it once i've written a sizeable amount :D i'm at 2k words so far... and not even at the meat of the story... oh god i hope it's not as long as harana but we shall see... PRAY FOR MY TINY BRAIN!!!

We celebrated our gorgeous bride this weekend! Macie and I found a cabin in the woods and coordinated with everyone on schedules, a few weeks later the 12 of us gathered to celebrate Celeste finding the love of her life! While not everyone that was invited could make it, I'm glad that we got to have time with our family!

We all transformed into girls for a weekend, having snowball fights, making snow angels, and making snow people. It was a great period of relaxation and bonding, the togetherness that Celeste specifically asked for before entering a new season of life.

All the 'Paulson girls - current and former' were able to get together and it was so special! Having 6 brothers means that us sisters have been welcoming more sisters with each wedding (and hopefully Kelsey joins our crew in the future). Having Tessa, Sabrina, and Madison be pregnant still making the effort to be with us made it even more special!

We all took turns cooking, and Macie and I had prearranged the cooking groups so each day we had 4 people cooking per day. We were definitely spoiled when it came to food, we had everything from homemade doughnuts, fresh bread made daily, great soup, and homemade lasagna - to name a few. The kettle was constantly going so we had an abundance of hot chocolate and coffee available over the weekend too.

We're getting closer and closer to the big day, we've got all of our dresses and suits for the bridal party. Since it's a winter wedding, we're praying that we have nice enough weather that there's a nice blanket of snow but no inclement weather. Macie and I have cherished this time as her maid and matron of honour, we've managed to grow even closer with her (as if it was even possible) and can't wait for her to marry the love of her life in a few short weeks!
