as devastating as the good omens ending was, I keep thinking about how it’s crowley who performs miracles for aziraphale, who picks out the restaurants, who can’t fire the gun. aziraphale has loved crowley from the start, yes, but it’s crowley’s love (I reject god for you, run away with me, you’re the only thing holy about that place) that moves the narrative, because aziraphale is deep down too afraid of making the “wrong choice.” he has to think of himself as always being good, kind, having the higher ground, the right answer. but to borrow an amazing quote from brennan lee mulligan, “to reach a hand down to somebody they have to be beneath you.”
it’s much easier to believe the world exists in black and white, that good people will always win and bad guys always lose, than to realize that none of us truly know we’re making the “right” choices. all we can do is be kind to each other, & love each other for as long as we can. & that’s terrifying! love is terrifying! it’s putting your heart in someone’s hands & hoping they don’t crush it!
but that’s love— a leap of faith. & I can’t wait to see aziraphale step into the dark, & the beauty of not knowing the answers.. or, well, all but one, anyway

i think the structural nature of doctor who makes it so i cannot relate to people who are consistently obsessed with it nor can i relate to people who are exclusively casual fans the entire time. Doctor Who is one of the ultimate pieces of media that's like BUILT for having it consume your every thought for like two years and then you forget about it for a decade. And then it comes back around. But that might just be the perspective of someone who like comic book characters lol

in all the blue-coloured/lighted shots the character in the blue light is feeling some type of anxious, depressed, worried or conflicted which is very similar to the way claire/carmy's sex scene turned panic attack was coloured/lit in season 2. this means something I swear like for all the time they spent on nothing montages of claire this season the way they chose to light those scenes was reminiscent of the carmy's memories of his night with claire that led him into an anxious spiral calmed only by thoughts of sydney. it was such a moment for sydcarmy and a significant point in the breakdown of carmy and claire for carmy, right before the implosion in the fridge (which was also blue, but not as deep). i dont really know where i was going with this. it could just be a way that they show these moods visually and the issue returns to why they undid a whole season's worth of set up for claire/carmy in season 3.
