What do think of a Milgram next generation au? Like an AU where the prisoners (excluding amane) have kids?
Ooh, what an interesting concept! I've never thought of that before (besides crying over Mahiru’s dream family she mentioned lol) so this was real fun to think about >:) I’m assuming the Milgram events all occur, but somehow everyone makes it out and tries to move on with their lives as best as they can. It'd be really cool story of all these kids meeting up and slowly uncovering their parents trauma/secrets...
For a lighter tone, it could be a very cute “kid detectives meeting up and making a little club to talk about mysteries of the past with their weird pet rabbit :)” But of course you could keep the darker canon tone, and have these ordinary children from wildly different walks of life discovering the bloody secrets that have haunted their family.
Either way, it'd be cool to set it up the same way we’re discovering the crimes: the children get pieces of information here and there as their parents let things slip, they check a story from an old news site, they catch details here and there from the locals. The group tries to put all the pieces together with limited snapshots and comments. There are no judgements -- it definitely leans into the mystery/story elements.
I'm sure their time in Milgram would drastically change the original prisoners, so some of their children would be shocked to find out what their parents were doing back in the day... I think a few of them would move far away, or want nothing to do with the others, so it takes their children a bit of digging to track down the other kids like them. Even if their parents are enemies, the children can all get close over their unique situation. I'm also a sucker for siblings who aren't close to find a better relationship through discovering the family secrets.
For an even darker tone, though, the original prisoners could have been wrongfully released or escaped back into the real world -- so years later, Milgram collects the children into the prison to judge them instead (sins of the father and all that). Instead of extracting mvs from them, the child and warden are forced to watch their parents’ videos and are interrogated about that. In this case, there'd be a weird dynamic in which they're learning to hate their parents (for the cruel things they did or for being the reason they're currently imprisoned) while also working really hard to defend them to the warden so that their family is forgiven. Similarly, there's an interesting relationship between them and the warden: these new prisoners criticize their decisions while also working together to solve the details of the parents' crimes.
I don't have a ton of specific headcanons on the cast, but a few roles in the group I can picture:
Kazui becomes much more honest after everything -- his children end up with leader roles because they have the most information on milgram/his crime.
Alongside them, Kotoko's kid would take after her mannerisms and become a leader as well. Out of Fuuta, Mahiru, and Mikoto's kids, half of them don't mind their parents' conflicts, while the other half act like they should carry on that legacy. I don't think Kotoko's kid themself feels the need to carry on her work, but will definitely defend her actions no matter what.
Shidou’s child would be put in a really weird spot, hearing how much he mourned those that came before. Feeling like a replacement, or not living up to the idea of his previous family, they act just as melancholy as him. Yuno's child also has a strange survivors guilt sort of thing going on.
In a normal-world setting, Fuuta's kid is the one to track the others down and get in touch with them. (But they're just as hotheaded as he was at that age, so another member has to do the actual recruiting lol)
Mahiru tries to move on from the events of Milgram, so her child is the most shocked that their mother was involved in a death and trial like this.
I think there'd be a solid mix of kids who are exactly like their parents, and the complete opposite. I like the idea of Haruka’s kid becoming the friendly, talkative one who really brings the group together <3

HELLO FELLOW DYVIM ENJOYER i saw youve been thinking abt him for 10 years so i was just wondering. do you have any headcanons youd like to share abt him. also i love your blog your vibes are great
LISTEN YOU ARE A TOP TIER HUMAN BEING FOR THIS KIND MESSAGE?????? THANK YOU ANON HOLY SHIT i love you tooLordy i HAVE been thinking (simping) about Dyvim for 10 years. And you know what, You Know What. It's time I share my Wizard101 headcanons ANYWAY so here YOU go: DYVIM WHITEHART HEADCANONS, courtesy of your boi, anxiously-sidequesting™.
(gonna refer to the young wizard as "you" since we're all just self inserts anyway)
During your time with Dyvim in Khrysalis (specifically Khrysalis Part 2), you and him would sleep together/near each other at night. Dyvim has come to trust you deeply enough that he would share his sleeping space with you as if you'd known each other forever, and would feel comfortable enough to curl up into a ball next to you for the camaraderie and trust bonding that his People also do with each other (bunk beds and shared sleeping pouches are common in Dyvim's culture)
Dyvim is old enough to drink, and enjoys certain types of wine with his cheese and bread from time to time. There was a pleasant interaction between him and King Pyat MourningSword during Dyvim's recovery from the Brood Mother's venom, where the King himself offered to regularly meet with Dyvim for a relaxing evening of wine and cheese after he returned from his journey, they still do it to this day and have a grand old time together
Contrary to when Dyvim is around you or his loved ones, he is actually reserved and quiet in informal and social settings. His training as a soldier has allowed him to be more assertive in battle, but if you take Dyvim to meet your Wizard City friends he will be the physical embodiment of 🧍
Alternatively, Dyvim tends to communicate with his hands as well as his words. Gestures, fidgeting, and pointing are all common when he speaks. He even knows Khrysalis sign language and is notably adept in patrols and training exercises where body language is needed
Dyvim has very pretty handwriting
Dyvim says he prefers sunny days over rainy, but he will occasionally take relaxing walks in the rain and likes to kick his legs through puddles to watch the rainwater splash
Dyvim's two favorite seasons are Spring and Autumn
One of Dyvim's hobbies is woodcarving. If you get the chance, you'll see many wooden figurines of various animals and people in his burrow
SO YEA THOSE ARE MY DYVIM HEADCANONS, sorry if they're boring but i personally like these actually. TYSMMMMMMM FOR THE WONDERFUL ASK AND FOR ASKING ABOUT MY HEADCANONS I LOVE TO TALK ABOUT THEM ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you're always welcome to send another ask too 🙏🏾✨❤️

Maybe “I didn't mean it like that!” for Gabe and Roberto if you don’t mind it, please?
The sound of cutlery clinking against the plates was the only thing holding the unforgivable silence, that had overtaken the Nuñez household, at bay. They were eating dinner without lifting their gazes from the food, the same way they had eaten breakfast that morning. And the supper the previous evening. The last dinner too. In fact, it had been the norm for the past few months. The giant oven in the bakery was the only warm thing in their home... ever since Gabriel revealed he had applied to join the royal guard.
A knife scratched the ceramics and they all flinched.
"I have to tell you something." Gabriel put his fork down. "It's something good!" He quickly assured them seeing the terrified look on his mother's face.
"I have passed the last test..." Roberto scoffed which threw Gabe off for a moment, but soon he picked up again. "This weekend there will be the big ceremony, you know, with the pledge and we'll get the swords and- and everything," Gabe stuttered and fell silent. His gaze dropped back to the table and he clenched his teeth trying to compose himself.
"That's fantastic, Gabriel" his mother sent him a smile from across the table.
Gabe took a deep breath.
"What I'm trying to say is that there will be a big celebration and all the recruits' families are invited..." he looked back up at his parents "And I was hoping you'll come too?"
"Oh, mijo, of course we'll-"
Roberto loudly pushed his chair away and stomped out of the dining room.
Gabriel and Blanca both looked after him for a moment, before Gabe jumped from his seat too.
"Papá, wait!"
He caught him in the kitchen and put a hand on his arm, so Roberto had to turn around.
"Please, I know you didn't want me to join the guard but-"
"And I still don't want to," Roberto said through gritted teeth. "I couldn't stop you but I won't go and join this... charade!"
"Papá, everyone's parents will be there, it's..." Gabe pursed his lips. "It's really important to me, you could at least..."
"Oh so that's what's important to you now?!" Roberto blew up. "Your future and your family suddenly don't count?"
"Of course I care about our family!" Gabe defended himself and clenched his fists. "I just don't want to be a baker, you know that."
"Our family is this bakery, Gabriel." Roberto flailed his arms around to emphasize his words. "It's called Nuñez and Son, so if you're my son..."
"Oh so I'm not your son now? Just because I don't want to be a stupid baker for the rest of my life?" All the anger he was trying to keep in control, now blew up and his words flowed before he could even think about them.
"Gabriel..." There was an edge in Roberto's voice, but Gabe couldn't hear it over his own anger.
"No, because you know what? Maybe I don't care about this family because you never cared about me?!" He threw his hands to point at the house in general and at himself. "All you," here he almost stabbed Roberto in the chest with his finger. "All you ever cared about was olaball and this dumb bakery..."
"Gabriel, do not speak to me..." Roberto started but Gabe wasn't finished yet.
"...so once it was obviously I can't do either, Nuñez and Son suddenly turned into Nuñez and a giant disappointment..."
"...you do not speak to me like that in my own house! Shut your mouth and..." They were now both yelling over each other.
"But you now what?! Sometimes I wish I didn't have a father like you either or that you weren't my father at all!"
Silence crashed onto them like a lightning bolt in the apogeum of the storm. They both froze. Their arms raised halfway through angry gestures. They were looking at each other. Gabe's eyes grew the size of platters.
"I... I didn't mean it like that...!" he finally wheezed out.
Roberto remained silent for another long moment, stretching into an infinity. Only his clenched fists and gritted teeth were an indicator that he hasn't turned into stone.
"Please, papá..." Gabriel started again but Roberto didn't even try to to listen this time.
"Get out," he said pointing out of the kitchen. "Go to your royal guard since that's the family you just chose."
Gabriel opened his mouth to say something again but quickly closed it. He pursed his lips and his brows fell to cloud his eyes. Without a word more, not sparing even a glance to his mother when he passed her, he left the house.
Gaaaaah it is finished! Sorry it took ages.
Don't worry, they later reconciled (although Roberto still probably didn't come to the ceremony), Gabe apologized again and Roberto said that once he realizes he wants to leave the guard he can always come back home. I'm not sure it's much better tho.
