the selective amnesia of marvel writers when it comes to major comic events makes me so insane. not only has tony been on a team with miles (all-new, all-different avengers, 2015), and has been a mentor figure to him since he crossed over from the ultimates universe (ultimate end, 2015), they somehow conveniently forgot that tony stark died in civil war II to protect miles. MILES. the kid he’s calling “newbie” and is somehow not one of his top favorite spider-people.

why is tony treating miles like they’ve never met when he went to war against carol and was punched into a coma to protect miles from being arrested for a crime he didn’t commit???? like mama let’s research before we start writing these comics

Thinking about the fact that A.B.A's creator (I wanna call him Dr. Paracelsus to differentiate him from key Paracelsus) could very well still be alive out there somewhere, cause he wasn't said to have been killed, he was just taken by a military organization (?!) for his skills-

And while I don't think they ever confirmed a connection, it feels like almost too obvious that he'd be in some way tied to the creation of Frasco II, given that it's called Frasco II

I've been on a hotd kick lately. Love to hate it, hate to love it. It's a mess, but I'm entertained.

I kind of want to take part in the fandom more actively, instead of just lurking in my favorite tags. But joining new fandoms can be a headache, especially when they're as big and full of drama as hotd currently is.

It's a good thing I'm too busy to actually do it, delaying the inevitable here.

While you'd think the relationship would have moved at a truly glacial pace, once together, it's only eh....five or six months before Samuels comes back to their flat with an actual honest-to-god engagement ring. Logically, they're living together, they've exchanged words of intentions for this to be a long term relationship, so he figures he should do this the proper human way.

Unfortunately, Amanda balks at the concept of being/engaged/ because what the fuck, Chris, (not counting cryo) I haven't known you for a year yet??? Poor thing assumes her distaste is because he grossly misread their situation and his place in her life. She has to stress to him that it's not him, not the color of his blood ("Amy, it's not really blood,") just that its awfully fast. Its enough to calm him down but he's still embarrassed, and then the horror of having to return the ring occurs to him and--

"You said--"

"Hold on to it, for a little while." She never wanted to be anyone's wife, anyone's mother, anyone's possession...But if anyone on the planet would understand the hesitation she had with commitment, it would be the man she helped carve company logos out his fingerprints.

"Do you mean it?"

It breaks her heart, the way he's beaming at her like she actually accepted instead of requesting an extension, but his sheer /joy/ is infectious. He's like her, so very dry and to the point, their shared sense of humor is subtle, sarcastic, and often dark--yet she cracks, and she's giggling. Samuels can't laugh: almost no synthetic can by design, it's too complex of a biological process to bother mimicking but she knows if he could, he'd be joining her.

He over thinks how long "a while" is and goes through a monthly crisis, takes to carrying the ring in his coat, but never asking out of fear it hasn't been long enough. Amanda finds it there one day about four months later, while looking for a missing key. Christopher finds her sitting on the bedroom floor, glassy eyed, coat over her knees, twisting the ring around (of course it fits perfectly he probably laser measured her hands)

"If...you want, you can keep it on." Amanda nods slowly, the realization of the 'yes' sinking in belatedly she she has to stand shakily to hug him. Tightly.

For the Fanfic kiss meme, for @lurking-latinist - who asked for Seven/Romana + 20 (on a scar), but unfortunately while I am for the most part happy to go along with a bit of Doctor/Romana on demand, for some reason this is any Doctor/Romana except Five or Seven, who are NOTPS. (THis is totally illogical! idk. it just is.)

im warming up to kirishima compared to the first time around reading rwtgi but i feel like it will still take so much work from him for me to root for him and yoshino🙃

because I feel like everyone, from the miyamas and the someis hide something big from yoshino, from the matter of her dad's death to the inevitable gang war. and kirishima hides it (the fact that his stalkerish behavior is approved first hand by yoshino's grandpa, omg) so well that i really dont want to trust him yet. I feel like the mangaka researched the common behavior of psychopaths beforehand as the inspiration for his character lol (i mean, not taking the term lightly and i dont have a degree in psychology but LIKEE hes good with houseworks, is book smart and street smart and know which face to put in every situations, but craves so much violence and also three steps forward and wants control of everything). and with yoshino, also a really complex character, i can't really guess what her reaction will be like when put in such realization that she had been put in the dark all this time, but im almost sure it won't be pretty🫠 i know she understands the circumstances of being born in her kind of environment, but I feel like her dignity won't allow anyone to coddle her to the point that everything was hidden from her, not even her grandpa

and are we really sure yoshino's dad wasnt part of a yakuza? i mean everything that us, the readers, know everything about him so far are the same stories that were spoon-fed to yoshino and all of those might be lies🫣 there's so much to dissect on yoshino's mom reaction to kirishima but im not smart enough bye.

from how much shit she was put under...... i really won't be surprised if shes gonna snap one day and this is gonna happen lol i can see that it can be kind of a let down to a lot of people if this is really the canon's ending but i feel like it's a decent fanfic idea . at least

and the fact that the mangaka themselves said this...🫣🫣🫣 maybe exiled step siblings yoshino and shouma endgame won't be that much of a stretch after all

anyways just like what i said... i don't dislike kirishima as much as I did before and I feel like his friendship with yoshino is kinda cute, ill feel a little bit sad if they fell out in the end (and another note: i have a hunch the ending will be super angsty😭😭😭 idk why). i mean yoshino is pretty, has a deep understanding of the nature of their family, smart but still humane in her way who wouldn't be smitten. love ha

this manga is so refreshing up until now, and even though there are tropes, the plot is still good enough for it to be a page turner........ one of my favorite crime-romance ever i think. can't wait for December 25!!!

Starting to think about audio!seven and a nt performance of Richard II I saw where, during the executions rather than send the characters offstage (it was a sealed stage, no one could leave) they threw a bucket of 'blood' over each of the two executed, and how slowly it would be marked on every other cast member as they moved about the stage. Richard II cradles a trusted friend to him and suddenly his hands and chest are stained red. Aumerle's parents throw themselves to the ground in supplication and are soaked in red.

Anyway, I thought a lot about this and the seventh doctor in the bf audios with ace on the way down the mountain.

In a modern au where somehow all of these people are alive at the same time and the ages work out conveniently—Alicent, who is getting out of her shitty Targ marriage, becomes great friends with Elia, who also left a shitty Targ marriage, her distant cousin Baelor’s new girlfriend.

Alicent sets up Elia and Baelor (She is somehow baelors great aunt despite being 10 years younger liek ???) While Aemond is frantically trying to hit on Elia and slide into her dms because he simply can't let a pretty dark haired milf slide out of his grasp.
