lowkey been thinking about making a discord server for mota writers (or readers who wanna contribute ideas/just have fun reading brainrot), ik there are existing mota servers but i feel like having one geared towards queer fic/writing specifically would be nice to have, since there are a lot for rp/x reader/general fandom already? open for more info if you're curious! vv

i'd love to have a personal space for everyone in there, like maybe having a specific channel for each writer (if they want it) so if anyone's keen on seeking out fic updates or reading ab wips and stuff from certain authors, it's easy to navigate. but then general channels too for brainrot, writing help, drabbles, collab seeking, requests/prompt fills, chatting, music recs, etc!

+ tag lists to choose from, like selecting whether you're a writer or reader or both, selecting what pairings you write for, basic things like age/pronouns, whether you want nsfw channels to be visible to you or not, all that sorta stuff. maybe fun monthly events too, like themed writing challenges, fic swaps, that kinda vibe? but also very casual and easygoing bc ik some servers can get overwhelming <3

OH MY GOD THE CHINESE FANTASY/HISTORICAL DRAMAS? They're absolutely entranced by it. Bi'an mostly comments on how historically inaccurate they are, and how outrageous the characters are.

Since you adorn such simple clothing, they question you about Chinese culture a lot. Had such articles of clothing been lost to time? What traditions are still practiced? Wait, the average are allowed people cut their hair? How shocking! Isn't that disrespectful to their parents? Er, which ruler is in charge of the north now?

Once you tell them all of the things that connect you to your chinese heritage, they will try and do EVERYTHING you used to do.

New Year's was it? Ah they have been on a westerners calendar for a while, so they have not been up to date. Well, this calls for special red envelopes and beautiful clothing does it not?

Adorns you only in the most beautiful traditional clothing. Hanfu's are flowy and can be quite modest, but Qipao's can be intricate and beautifully simple. Oh but you could also wear a Tangzhuang. They are also surprised by how modern traditional clothing has become. Clothing like that would've been years worth of salary for the average man! How lucky you are to be able to wear such things for a price.

Although they doll you up and celebrate with you, you aren't allowed to do anything more than to stay with them and obey the usual rules during all of it.

Damn, you don't even get anything of real material value in the red envelope. It's a love letter and a small gift. Usually jewelry or something of that minimal sort. (The gift is meaningless to you as you receive all kinds of unwanted things from them 24/7)

They are glad you are of the same ethnic background of them! You both may have not been from the same place or time, but you two both have a personal understanding of each other's identity.

Partaking in various conversations about culture, technology, celebrating traditions, partially speaking in similar language... All and more of these things have them head over heels for you.

mizisua analysis :) (spoilers!!)

hello :), ik i'm a little late, but the mizisua video already released and here is a small analysis i made, this post will be divided in 2 parts: the actual analysis of the video and how it proves a theory i had, so without furder ado, lets start （。＾▽＾）

i think the video was a nightmare of mizi, my reasons are:

mizi and sua canonicly met at anakt garden, and we dont have information of them meeting before

it doesn't seem logical to me that mizi cried so hard when sua went away, taking into account it was the first time they saw eachother

at the end of the video we can se mizi layed in a couch, crying, as if she just woke up from a nightmare (i will talk more about that scene later)

other thing i noticed is that the video references certain parts of sua's amd mizi's story, for example, mizi being the one who approached sua while the melody of my clemantis (specificly the part of when mizi and sua met in round 1), melody that also reproduces when mizi and sua separate (and the part that played was the same as when sua died), that's why i think the video was a nightmare of mizi who reflected some parts of their story and how painful their separation was (ik it hurts ;-;).

at the end, we see mizi laying and crying after waking up from the nightmare, and since i was curious about that scene i edited the photo and i found some things :)

we can observe that:

mizi is wearing her round 5 oufit and her hair looks a little messy (like in the end of round 5)

she seems to be in a place that looks like if its abandonded, or slightly hidden, it looks like a hideout to me (or at least, not the place where the contestants would be kept before the next round)

there is an earth poster in the wall

taking this into account...could this mean that mizi is alive and she's currently in the hideout of the people who rescued her???? this seems to make sense but idk (i hope i'm right :') )

in previous posts, i mentioned that i had a theory abt sua, my theory is that sua was mistreated by her guardians and that mizi was the only person she ever loved, also sua knew abt the dangers abt alien stage, but decided to not tell mizi (if you want i could explain why i thought that). the video proves my theory bc it shows that sua's guardians never loved her (her situation is similar to ivan's/luka's) but it also shows that mizi's guardians were nice to her (could mizi be manipulated by them into thinking alien stage wasn't dangerous? maybe). finally, i would like to note how it was shown the differences between growing in a negligent/abusive enviroment and a loving one (sua and mizi respectively), i think the way it was shown and how it affected mizi and sua was pretty goood :)

Any explanation will do, provided it seems to explain.

So here's an explanation that seems to explain, although I find it's not too wise to get married to these sorts of things:

The physical bits of people (like the entire human body, etc) is not at all how much of a person there is. In a literal sense, all humans have a spiritual body that exists within and moves through the spiritual layer of our present reality.

We can sort of conceptualize this as an iceberg thing; the physical parts of humans are what is sticking out above water, and the hidden parts are below water, immersed in magical reality. Just because we can't see it doesn't make it any less real or any less vital to our wellbeing.

This spiritual body has a lot of nuances, but for our purposes, we can say that it's somewhat body shaped, or eggish-shaped, but extends past a person perhaps a foot or two, or more or less; this size corresponds with the size of the aura, and typically corresponds exactly with "personal space."

This spiritual body provides actual input in our day-to-day lives. It's maybe one source of intuition, if you believe in that sort of thing. Just like other sensing organs, we can learn to tune out what this spiritual body is sensing. Some people may be born less attuned to it, just like some people will never really have a fine-tuned palate; but some people can also be very sensitive to it.

Typically, one of the earlier goals a witch will want to get around to is learning to sense and interact with their spiritual body, and then further learn to work with it in certain acts of magic (maybe most commonly this would be glamours, shielding, or certain empowerments).

But whether or not someone knows they have a spiritual body, they have one. And that body is constantly intersecting with magical reality, which is the place where "energies," spells, and spirits live. Therefore in a literal sense, when someone sends a banishing spell on someone, that spell has the capacity to literally touch that person. It can literally touch them because their spiritual bodies are an integral part of being human.

The spell is conjured up and released within magical reality, which is where a part of you is right now; and then it goes to your target, who also exists partially in magical reality, and it directly affects them.

Just, you know, underwater.

The idea behind a job spell might be to get the hiring manager to take very special notice of the resume, in which case the spell isn't like "ahhh I'm going to chase you until you leave! Run away! Omnomnomnom"

but rather, it grabs them by the spiritual-body collar and says, "woah, isn't that resume perfect? Wow, you could clock off and take your wife to dinner if you just agree to hire this super valid-looking candidate right now. Put a post-it note on this one, buddy! Olive Garden is calling your name."

And that person is experiencing those things because a large part of their literal sensing of reality is suddenly immersed in a physically invisible energy that is directing them towards that purpose.

And it's not like the spell is locked behind a glass wall in some faraway astral space (or at least, it shouldn't be... it can be. This is too much for one post, let's stay on topic).

It's right there, literally intersecting with someone's being, filling their space with a confluence of power all directed towards a singular purpose.

I think it takes a certain kind of approach to turn Severus Snape into a flustered little loser, firstly because you have to make it clear to the little dingus that you’re actually being serious first. It sounds shitty but no one claimed these two were healthy. I’m not sure if scared is the best word (if I’m the one who originally said it then this is me officially correcting myself lmao) a better word would probably be intimidated. Specifically after the whole ratting him out thing, before that I don’t think he was particularly intimidated of him which probably threw Severus off because he’s used to that being his main defence and all that. I think especially after they start hooking up but before the whole him ratting him out thing there is very few things Severus can do to intimidate Igor because he can do his whole rant around Igor being a vile cockroach meathead who only thinks with the wrong head but Igor is just going to lean far too close into his personal space and say some dumb shit like “I don’t remember you complaining this much about the head of my cock when it was buried deep inside you last night” and then he does his stupid little laugh lmaoooo

You know what's crazy? I have never once EVER considered that I had OCD. And I'm still not convinced I do at all. And I am neurodivergent. So ik symptoms overlap sometimes right? But I didn't realise till today that I have never once researched OCD. Never. And I actually know so little about it. But there are times when I look at myself, and I'm like this feels like it might be a symptom, but like it doesn't affect my daily life. But now I thought a little more, and I just considered that maybe it does.

Yet, I also get anxious and paranoid sometimes, and I always just think that's anxiety. That I'm just anxious or worried. And maybe it is just that. But I need an OCD perspective. (Keep in mind that I live in a country with like no mental health professionals where like there is stigma for mental health. And my family aren't like people who believe in that stuff. I also don't want a diagnosis or assurance of everything. I am an undiagnosed neurodivergent person, and for now I'm okay with that.I'm just curious to understand this topic better.)

Can OCD look like:

Maybe in your life you have like a set of cups right. One green thin cup may have been dirty once years ago. Or something happened years ago that you don't even remember. But now you never use those cups because you get "bad vibes" and only ever use the purple ones or any other cup but all the green thin ones.

You're anxious/scared of your future life and you have no control. The only thing that makes you feel a bit better temporarily is like taking BuzzFeed/uquiz/online quizzes that tell you what your future life will be. What initial you'll end up with. Any predicting crap.

You think things like "if I play my spotify liked songs and the first song is heather by Conan gray, I will marry my crush" "If my dad says the word gumball then so and so will live to be 98" "if I met my soulmate today I will see the word lavender".

Your brain constantly going "what I'd you die" "What if you exploded" "what if so and such is a lie" "what if you jumped in front of a bus" "what if you end up in a horror movie rn" "what if you are dying and you don't know it"

You know clear as day that your friend of 1 year is named Alicia, but when it's their birthday you have to check 33 times that that is actually their actual name and that their name wasn't like Dina or something when you wanna write their name.

You blow on dandelions, search for four leafed clovers, not step on cracks for some reason even though you do not believe it'll break your mamas back. All just for a little sense of luck and for something you wish for to be true or you just get bad vibes from doing certain things.

This one feels a little more wrong to me, but like you constantly ask God for reassurance about your future through maybe dreams or like a word or something.

Rarely but sometimes if you have a bracelet you just count if the amount of beads minus like the word needs are an even number and if you can put like 8 beads each on a side.

Obviously you also have intrusive thoughts that you yourself do NOT believe, but you feel ashamed by some of them. Like you love someone to pieces, but your brain goes "they're annoying when *insert an unfixable neurodivergent trait*" and like NOOO you don't believe that but now you feel bad. Or like you have like thoughts of like kissing someone else or not loving them anymore or like hurting them with your nails somehow in like a good 60% of times when you think of them. And sometimes your intrusive thoughts are like incest, racism, ableism, or stuff like that. And NOOO you don't want to take part in any of that at all, but it HAUNTS you DISGUSTS you and makes you feel a little like shit.

You always push in your chair and your friend chair after class and if you see other chairs....you FIGHT the urge not to push in those chairs too and live.

You always use certain bathroom stalls and if it's taken you have a back up bathroom stall you use.

Self-degrading voices and inner thoughts. Like "you are a horrible person" "everyone is better than you" "everyone can do this better than you WHY can't you??"(In like a social situation like group convos or like being of more help to someone you love with their mental health) "When it's you who is neurodivergent, gay, a certain body shape and whatever it's like wrong but when others do it it's okay".

Now, this are like examples of how my brain works. And I just wanted to see if it was familiar to the OCD community outta innocent curiosity. And I'm NOT looking for a diagnosis at all. I just want some perspective. Because I never considered that OCD was more than just intrusive thoughts, repetitive behaviour, perfection tendencies, and superstition at severe levels. Like I did have an idea that it was more than all the stereotypes. I just never looked into it more. I do want to understand it better. And like yk see through all the stigma. And Ik a few or maybe even all of the stuff I listed are probably not even OCD at all...I just want to know what y'all have to say about it.

I’m just curious about ur opinion re. age gaps. Cause obv Austin and Kaia are 10 years apart so. I think they started dating when she was 20 and he was 30? I’ve always felt that age gaps are sort of weirder for “normal” people lol. But I don’t know if that’s a double standard. Kaia is Cindy Crawford’s daughter, she started modelling at a young age so I’m sure she grew up around certain crowds and I feel like. Industry babies just are exposed to more at a younger age and sort of grow up faster. And cause of her parents and stuff I don’t think there’s like. A power imbalance there. But if she wasn’t who she is and she was just an undergrad in uni and Austin was a 30 year old with a house and a job… I might find the relationship weird. Just curious what you think. i actually am realllly wary re the "well if you grew up under xyz circumstances and grew up fast you're more mature" defense of age gap relationships. this isn't a knock at you to be clear! i know you aren't bringing it up in a weird way. i just feel like that line of reasoning is weaponized by men defending being predatory towards younger love interests in the sense of "well yeah he/she's *insert younger age* but he/she's sooo mature!". and i even think kaia seems somewhat self-aware of how much it's a two-sided coin it is re: things she's said about it more recently (i forgot the exact book club episode where she talked about being with older guys as a teen, if someone does remember pop me a message and i'll edit this w/ the episode link). yes, she grew up fast. *and* at the end of the day, under all the grew up fast maturity and thick skin she still was/is young. i feel like i grew up really fast too- for completely different reasons (grew up in a household with a high support needs special needs sibling)- and it's a weird fickle thing in that i feel older than my age and like- 11 years old at the same time. my groomer used the whole you're sooo ahead of your years thing to get their teeth into me- and it's another reason that line of thinking makes me pause.

BUT that to say: obviously- i run a fan blog for the man- i do not view austin as any sort of predatory in the slightest. my hot take on him going younger after v that i might end up editing out of this post (lmao) is that after things with v were over he never wanted to be in a power dynamic like that ever again, and skewing younger was somewhat of a fool proof way to see that through.

i do like what you say about the power imbalance thing though. like- finically at least the power imbalance goes the other way! obv austin isn't some normie living paycheck to paycheck and is well off himself now. but one of them grew up making dinner for their divorced dad as a kid in a garage apartment and one of them grew up as cindy crawford's child. kaia has financial "resources" as a nepo baby to a supermodel and a wildly successful ceo that all the fame in the world won't give austin. i could see people being wary of it all if those roles were reversed, but they are not!

and, i've said this before- i think if kaia was going to end up with someone 10 years her senior in hollywood that austin was the best guy she could've wound up with. ik we don't actually know these people parasocial blah blah blah. but i believe in my heart of hearts that austin is a good, kind and caring person that treats her well. i also think it speaks to how good austin is for her that rande seems to like him so much. i'm not rande's number 1 fan in the world- but he is very clearly protective of his daughter. he (rightfully) hated pete davidson and as we know went full boots on the ground mode to try and get her out of that relationship. if austin was bad news, rande would not like him as much as he appears to. point blank.

hell- rande and cindy let him *live in their house* when their relationship was very new. i think about that and chuckle sometimes bc it's just like. crazy and funny to think about. but i mention it here to say if he had had any sort of weirdo intent i somehow think her folks would've clocked that when he was spending as much time around them as he was when they'd just started dating. they let him borrow their *vehicles* like. lmao. (if you're confused as to where this is coming from- it was something jeff millburn the bike training guy for the bikeriders mentioned in a podcast he did. he started training with austin not that long after he got back to the states after filming elvis and mota back to back and mentions that austin was coming from the crawford's when they were first meeting up).

this They also started dating BEFORE Elvis came out and Austin gained a lot of popularity so I almost feel like, within their respective crowds, Kaia honestly might’ve had more influence. i agree with ONE HUNDRED MILLION percent and it is my biggest sticking point with the people who insist until they're blue in the face that she sought him out to use him. baz, austin, and others involved with elvis (2022) have all talked on multiple occasions about how nerve wracking going to cannes was because they had no idea how the film would be recieved. i think it's fair to say that baz nor austin were expecting it to be the massive success it was- in any way shape or form. i actually find this really endearing esp on baz's part- because i think you could see it in his face through the release and awards season that it was a wildest dream for his project coming true moment for him. i gen like- make myself a little upset when i think about his super dry vague post after the oscars because it makes me truly sad for him that such a career high for him ended the way it did, and i think it hurt his own heart too. esp with lisa marie dying, and her so badly wanting that oscar for austin. *anyways* i'm getting sidetracked lmao.

to my actual point- unless kaia had some secret future seeing power that austin and baz didn't- she also had no clue that elvis 2022 and with it austin's career would take off the way it did. if she was seeking out a new famous boyfriend to use, it quite frankly seems idiotic to go with "guy who is going to be in a baz luhrmann elvis presley biopic". i really like how baz puts it re his "the miracle of austin butler" spiel, because it really was a miracle. i love elvis presley- but i think as an elvis fan *especially* i can say that an elvis biopic doing All That was a g-d dmn miracle.

tldr: if i hypothetically had a 20-year-old daughter and she brought a 30-year-old home i would have some qualms, yes. but every situation is different, and i think both the anti-austin narrative of him being predatory and the anti-kaia narrative of her being a scheming mastermind are wrong.

Strawberry productions have officially had the new B komachi gang settled. Hence, Aquamarine Hoshino settled himself on the couch, now looking at the reviews of the date reality show lovenow.

Honestly, he didn't expect people to even like him back. Some even mentioned he was 'handsome' and whatnot. He rolled his eyes, but silently.

"Ah, Senpai! What do you mean my face needs more expression!"

Ruby's complaining tone disturbed his mind and he looked up from where Mem-cho, Arima and Ruby came out with flustered faces.

Kana, on the other hand, sternly lectures the younger "You need to shine more! You're cute enough, but you gotta say 'look at me' with those eyes!"

Ruby sighed now, her starry eye blinking in irritation. "Fine!" She turned to him and tilted her head now unbothered by hus presence ."Oni-chan? What's up?"

He shook his head. "Nothing just found it amusing how irritated you've become"

Ruby puffed her bright cheeks and looked away. "Easy for you to say!"

Memcho who was peacefully by the corner was now keen on what Aqua was doing.

"Ohhohh, what are you doing, kiddo?" She teased now."Dating that A-ka-neh chan?" She leaned inched closer as she said the name.

"Not yet... I've checked the reviews of the show... that's it, " he calmly stated as he placed his phone down now, stretching a little.

"Not yet, huh?" Arima frowned, but her jealousy was clean to Mem-cho.

Deciding to change subjects to avoid an upcoming storm, she pointed out, "Hey Ruby-chan... haven't your brother ever had a goofy moment?"

Ruby seated on the ground crossed legged and just thought for a moment "Well I can't say he's been in the gloomy cloud forever, but... him being a goofball sounds so wrong"

Kana just hummed in thought, "Even as a child by that time, he's so calm and mature unlike a certain someone," she eyed Ruby, who returned the same look at her with offense but indirectly agreeing.

Aqua seeing how he was the center of attention waved it off casually but also wanting to avoid being noticed "It's a useless topic, not like I'm some old geezer or anything (though he is) I haven't had the intention to be so dumb like my bratty sister"

"Wha-" It was like a stab to Ruby, and meanwhile, Miyako Saito, the talent manager, chuckled.

Aqua warily turned to her "What's so funny?"

She shakes her head now fully turning to them from her computer "It's just that Aqua is more of an adult than me even at that time, goofing around seems exaggerating and unimaginable"

"Aww..." Memcho sighed "I really wanna see Aqua go BAAAM!"

"I'm not a bomb"

Ruby became thoughtful now, but then tilted her head as she replied "Aqua may have been mature and acts like someone hundred years older-"

"Stop exaggerating"

"-than us..." she trialed off peaking everyone's interest, but disappoints them by sighing "Well nope... he's been such a downer even as a baby"

Kana agreed miserably. "Even if he was cute as a child"

"You make it sound like a bad thing." This tjme Aqua sighed and then began leaning back on the couch, checking his phone. He didn't even pay attention to what Miyako said later on "Oh but there's this one time..."

"Ohhh?"

Curious, the girls glanced up. Aqua, hearing half of what she said, also looked up ultimately. "I remember how he laughed one time as a baby"

"When did that happen?" Ruby frowned, but curious as her starry eye blinked, Aqua became more uneasy seeing how he was seeing some sort of catch. His own starry eye wavered. Whatever it was, he was in for something bad.

"He was ticklish and its adorable" she concluded with a smile and then silence broke. Kana broke it in minutes "W-wait... seriously? Him? Ticklish???"

Ruby clapped in realisation "Ah so that's what I forgot! I knew i forgot something important"

Aqua groaned. "Ruby, it's not important... I was a child, and of course, I...well had my childish days, but now their over..."

It was a wrong move. Aqua should've kept his mouth shut.

Memcho was the closest as she snuck by his side of the couch. "So, are you saying you're not ticklish anymore?"

Aqua swallowed, not that he knew the answer, but he had a feeling whatever answer he gave they'd somehow...

"As a matter of fact, yes," he replied with an almost convincing face, though it's neither the truth nor a lie. He recalled the memory of Ai embarrassingly tickled him because he was too serious as a child.

It was indeed happiness, but as his mentality was somewhat twice as Ai's, he was conflicted about how it felt so nice. No one has ever been this playful even in his previous life.

However, now, his hormones as a teenager sort of kicked in and felt like he was actually sixteen, and he doesn't like how these girls are planning what he feared they were planning.

"You can find out for yourself" Miyako shrugged now back to her work as if she didn't ruin his reputation.

Gee thanks, Miyako. He thought sarcastically.

Memcho was faster than him. She poked him on the side, and that sent his phone flying up but back on his lap. He blushed now. "Oi!"

"Oni-chan, you big liar!" Ruby lunged forward, and Kana wiggled her fingers from a distance with sudden malice for revenge."Oh~ did I hear that right? Ladies... shall we?"

Aqua didn't expect things to turn out like this. He felt himself trapped immediately by three girls with keen eyes to wreck him and the couch.

It started as soon as he began to digest the incident at hand, and did he not pray that he felt nothing? Sadly, no luck appeared on his side when he felt the shock of electricity, the familairty in the touch. He felt himself squirm and recoil back on the couch, hands embracing his own midriff.

"Uh oh! Someone's in trouble!" Memcho snickered and dug deeper into his ribs, almost earning a startled gasp. His lips twisting to something rare called a smile for the first time.

"I haven't seen him this flustered..." Ruby was awestruck that she was still clinging to his sides very delicately. "He blushed so seriously in that one moment when he was in that show Lovenow. But I like this face more~!"

"W-wait... wait..." he managed to slip away from them now behind the couch where they stared at him concentratedly. They were like prowling wolves after a prey, this was not good.

"Don't your dare...! R-Ruby, Arima !Memcho! I swear-!" He couldn't say anything more when he was at last tackled by all three of them again.

Minako laughed though her eyes are glued to the screen and half back at them. "Go easy on him, the poor lad's got to be exhausted from showbiz work today"

Nobody gave a shit. that's what Aqua knew. Kana now cracked her knuckles suddenlt her eyes glinting red as Ruby's eyes. "Just one punishment is all I want to give him... let's see how the stoic faced Aquamarine breaks from... this!" With that, her small fingers dug to his ribs, which he didn't expect. He suddenly lets out a giggle and then closes his mouth in horror, shocking himself.

"You... giggled? Honest to god, that was creepily adoarable, " Kana said, but continued her attack, drawing more sounds like that.

"Ahaharima! Stop thahat!" He struggled as he was pinned by three girls, and if there were one, he could've overpowered her. Unfortunately, this wasn't a lucky situation. He curled to many sides. He never felt the heat rise in his cheeks so frequently until now, and mostly because he recalled Ai's wiggly fingers following wherever he crawled. He needs to keep his mouth shut, though now it seemed pretty impossible.

Ruby was surprisingly the non ticklish twin, but she already bonded well with Ai (especially toermenting Aqua together on his weakness). Aqua was cursed by this sensitivity, taking in both hers and his probably ticklishness, and he expected it to go away by adolescence at least.

Unfortunately, no... God is merciless.

"GAahaha! Wahahait, wait, wahait!" He tried negotiating as felt himself be weakened immediately and instantly "Ihihi I'm sohohorry Ahaharima!"

Still enjoying torturing him, She smiled now. "For what...? This is just my fun, not your punishment for something you didn't do wrong"

"Ohoho, so nohow, I didn't doho wrong??? Maahhahake uhuhup yohohour mihihind!"

She paused now, but the others continued clawing at every part they could get on his stomach. "Maybe I'll reconsider this... I won't stop now for sure!" She sneaked her fingers to his armpits, making him yelp in shock, but giggles stumbled regardless of where she went.

"Gohohod pleehehaase!!" He groaned, now feeling his blush deepen."Ehehenough!"

"What about me, bro? I need an apology for real?" Ruby snarkily laughed like a witch.

"YOHOHOU DOHONT GEHEHT OHOHONE! EHEHEHVIL TWIHIHIN!"

Upon this, Ruby feigned shock from that, then her sinister ruby eyes glinted with ulterior motives. "That's too bad because I was thinking of avoiding your worst spot... well, I changed my mind too!"

Aqua lowered his head with desperate pleading to stop. He never felt this chaotic, not even in his previous life. He wished he could have gotten over such a childish weakness. Yet... it was not horrible, but it was certainly embarrassing.

"Riiight here! It makes him beg nonstop!" She giggled delightedly when her fingers aimed for his hips through the jeans. He collapsed in shock "OK OK! EHEHENOUGH ENOUGH! MIIYAKOO PLEHEHEHASE!"

Miyako smiled at the sight. "Alright, girls, enough... he might pass out. " her own memory jolted back at how Aqua would laugh like this, but more than the sensation, he genuinely wad equally attached to Ai as Ruby. She wished she was there to see them again.

Memcho snickered "So Mr. Gloomcloud can laugh"

He gasped now, closing his eyes in pure fluster. "Gosh..." Hearing that, he glared but with some residual giggles."Of course I cahahan, I ahaham human too"

Kana blushed now in enthusiasm. "It's... surprisingly cute, your voice going high pitch and-!"

He grumbled "Yeah don't get used to it... I might be getting you back tenfolds..."

Memcho snickered. "Good luck with that," she poked his side, making him jump away with an irritated whine "But it's three against one so... better not make it worse for yourself"

Indeed, they have the upper hand, especially with Ruby being dead insensitive. He should be careful with how he extracts his revenge next time.

He smiles softly as he left the room, hearing them tease his high-pitched giggles sounding girly, maybe... he could tolerate this. Just maybe Ai won't be the first.

I just wondered how you planned out the universe and plot for this ship so effectively and efficiently.

Also i can’t remember if you ever tagged it or not but was there going to be like angst in this fic? (Not asking for like tagging reasons but just because I wondered with Aemond’s personality we’d be getting dumb blond brooding and grandma Vhagar two days away from kidnapping Jace and Aemond to an island and flying away. it's not a bother to ask at all!! (though probably not that interesting to hear haha) i have an overactive imagination that has a tendency to make connections really quickly and if the material i'm working off of is anything based in fantasy, that ability only compounds lol. my brain will make large connections (i.e. major events i want to write/read) first while also running smaller details in the background and the longer i leave both to sit and marinate, the clearer the narrative becomes. it's all very chaotic by nature so i'll try to keep as much as i can organized on a good doc - since i can always delete certain plans later - and just keep reminding myself of where eventually i want the story to end up.

there's a lot of scene/plot planning that happens but i also try to leave myself a lot of room to play outside of stuff i KNOW needs to happen bc i don't want the fic to feel bogged down or like i'm just crossing things off a list. i mentioned in my ch2 author's endnote that i like giving my stories "room to breathe" bc i want them to feel organic rather than mechanical. hitting the right emotional beats is really important to me (what are humans if not highly-emotional beings after all, isn't that just terrible and beautiful?) so there's a lot of internal deliberation abt how characters would respond & react to certain things that i think abt every day in order to avoid the pitfalls of treating them less like complex people and more like hollow puppets on my strings. when i write, i aim to imbue my fics will life and life can lead us down unpredictable, frustrating roads haha

taking all that into account, it's pretty much why i don't have a set update schedule. i tried to do the monthly thing releasing the first ch of CTF a month after FMF but it became clear almost immediately that that wouldn't work just bc, by that point, the story had grown too large for me to tell it the way i felt it needed to be told in such a short time. plus uni responsibilities factors into it too and updates get postponed even longer than i would ever want them to (boo👎🏼👎🏼)

and research, a lot of research goes into me planning these fics lolol and often times bc i haven't read f&b i have to cross out ideas and change certain details i previously (incorrectly) believed and/or don't wanna keep

What are your thoughts on the destruction of Numenor? I have not read the silm (yet?) so all my knowledge comes from the wiki, but to me, it just seems incredibly cruel of the Valar? I admit to probably being biased bc I come from watching rop and really liking Miriel so I am Not Happy over her canonical ending but still. Ik Numenor did a lot of very bad things, but there were still good people on the island (it's not like everyone could have escaped with Elendil & co). There were children there! I just feel like there would have been a lot of ways to deal with the situation that did not involve just up and killing everyone. Ig it might have just been a somewhat unwanted side effect to the Valar remodelling the world to cut off Valinor from mortals but even then, was that *really* necessary? It's not like Pharazon & co seemed to really be a danger to Valinor given that the Valar easily killed them all and their entire island. They could not have at least saved the children and remaining Faithful on Numenor? It also seems especially unfair given All The Shit The Noldor Did, where the harshest punishment the Valar ever seemed to give was banishment. It's not like Numenor was the only place to ever get tricked by Sauron either (although tbf, they did do a lot of extremely terrible things)! But again, I did not actually read the source material for that so I might be missing smth important there, so I'd be very curious to hear your thoughts.

Depends on which notes and editions you pick up probably, especially given the framework that the silm was written by elves and so is a biased account. Some notes say Miriel was forcibly married and renamed: others say she was in on it. The silm is written more in the style of a textbook, albeit one with a distinct slant towards a people with a vested interest in presenting their views, and it isn't like we ever have a narrative story IN Numenor, at least not that I've found. @arondirslovechild will correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure what you're asking me here. "Was there a solution to the general murderisland numenor had become without sinking it" I mean I can't sink islands so it's not on my list of solutions. This is a callback to the fictional atlantis, which isn't great (I've mentioned before the ties between atlantis theories and nazis) but at least doesn't pretend atlantis was just shining light etc etc by the end.

But to be honest, Numenor is not where most of my attention goes. There is a certain amount of Catholicism in Tolkien's works that is inescapable even if he personally disliked it being called allegorical. The valar warned numenor what would happen: the ones who believed them a, didn't sail west to try to conquer elf heaven, b, didn't do shit like human sacrifice, and c, got the hell out of dodge.

Unless they couldn't, as with the non-complicit version of Miriel, who, again depending on which notes you decide to fold into your tolkien canon, knew what was happening and tried to plead with angry gods (or archangels, whatever) from atop a mountain for her people until the last.

Which I guess falls into Tolkien's entire mission statement: grand, sweeping gestures are all noble and well and good, but what keeps us from getting to that point and what makes them effective is the small everyday things that can build you a base. If Numenor had not drifted so far from this philosophy, they wouldn't have supported Pharazon's hostile takeover, they wouldn't have started human sacrificing all over the place, and they wouldn't have persecuted the faithful, somewhat ironically meaning they wouldn't have needed the faithful at all.

Anyway I am ill-equipped to judge Mythical Fictional Beings on such a grand scale, but I am going to note that given Tolkien's track record they were irrevocably doomed to some tragedy the second Pharazon married his first cousin and doomed even further in the version where he married her without her consent. It's a tolkien thing. You creep on a lady, you get hurled from great heights in a literal fashion, and I am counting hurling from the top of the sea to a cavern under it for this circumstance.

honestly, i'm at the point where I'm wondering if Giovinetta (from lady devil) simply won't be satisfied unless everyone around her is miserable, and *even then* it's still not enough (why else would she bring back to life her abusive brother and betray/murder Idris?). Even in a new life where she doesn't seem to remember anything, she can't stomach the idea of Johannes having (seemingly) more freedom than her and being (seemingly) more beloved by people.

I don't think she'll ever reach the freedom she seeks if, even without any memory from her past life, she *has* to mess up Idris no matter what. I know that he abused her, SAed her and all (which he never should have done, no matter what), but it's still wild that in his new, nearly immortal body (unlike his past life), she *still* has the upper hand psychologically and puts all the blame on him. Idk girl, if you were locked up from 6 yo to your 1st marriage, maybe blame your abusive, dangerous parents instead of your twin??

It really feels like these two never had a real, honest conversation that could have avoided a lot of trauma and toxic, abusive behaviour on both sides (like how Johannes was hated by their mother, seems like a pretty important conversation to have??). Ik that it's the point of lady devil to watch them being a trainwreck, but I still feel bad for Johannes/Idris... Changing his face to the one of the man he hated the most *and* not realizing that Giovinetta won't ever love him, even if he gets entangled in the OG twins' incestuous nonsense? it's tragic.

I see it a little differently Giovinetta revived Xavier because she found it unbearable to part from the abuse that had become customary. Displays of affection have become indistinguishable from abuse. Giovinetta must have made a mistake somewhere or the research papers of Kretschman were incomplete because we know Xavier came back wrong, he was more like a living corpse than anything else and this is why she wanted Idris to fill out the empty space that Xavier had left behind. The problem is that the Idris that existed in the past could never satisfy her masochistic urges completely. Despite the intense psychological trauma he was subjected to since young age he was still...too kind. That's why I think she didn't hurt him for the sake of hurting him but she hurt him because she wanted him to hurt her. (That and to prevent perceived abandonment like when she burned him with a hot iron after he laughed with another girl.)

I feel like there must be more behind it as to why Giovinette chose to betray Idris. Killing him was too extreme. Even for her. Perhaps someone else framed him for something or something else led to her believing that he betrayed her first. It is possible that Giovinetta might not even see it as a betrayal because he said he wouldn't mind to be killed by her.

I'm recalling the confession in chapter 90.

"But what if you die like Xavier?

"I'll forgive you if you let me have a taste later."

Idris was just playing around, but I think Giovinetta might've taken him by his word literally.

We might never know if Innette could have turned out normal or not. At a certain point the image of Giovinetta and Innette have started to blurr and Idris/Johan began to view Innette and everything she does in the most negative light possible. It doesn't matter what Innette does, Johan has decided she is either going to abandon him or going to betray him because that's what her past self has done to him, so whatever she does, it's negative and confirms it. That makes it hard to differientiate between what is Innette's nature and what was nurtured. Was Innette always destined to become Giovinetta 2.0? Or is Johan's insistence to treat her like Giovinetta the reason why she became like her?

Take for example her incestuous feelings for her twin. She played a kissing game with Johan because she saw her parents doing it. She was curious and wanted to try it out. That was all. Nothing more nothing less. Not to Johann though. She awakened his feelings for her and that's why he was confused when she told him to forget about it once they got older. In his mind Innette was Giovinetta. Then if that was the case why was Innette not lusting after her brother just like Giovinetta? Now the sensible explanation would be "Innette is not Giovinetta even though she looks like her. History doesn't have to repeat itself. She was just experimenting like kids do and couldn't tell right from wrong" but Johann jumped to "she is just like Giovinetta omg she is going to betray me and then abandon me to be with another man!!!" and his kill bill sirens went on.

Johann destroyed her only way out of this dysfunctional family when he killed her husband out of jealousy and the rumor spread that she was cursed and had to be locked up again. Because she was trapped in a situation where she was extremely isolated from everyone except for her family she ended up becoming overly dependent on him. And Johann was taking advantage of that including her amnesia. So it's no wonder that Innette was trauma bonding with Johann just like Giovinetta, not because it was something inevitable but because he created a condition in which she had no choice but to develop these feelings for him. In a way she was suffering from stockholme syndrome in her "captivity". I can understand Innette's resentment of Johann a bit. Especially in the early chapters Johann had moments where he got jealous and paranoid seemingly out of nowhere and was accusing her of things. If you are already treated like a sinner despite trying to do good and then getting punished by the person you are trying to protect you are going to reach your breaking point one day.

I suspect Johan is partly to blame for why Innette ended up taking after Giovinetta more and more. Innette and Johan's relationship faintly echoes Giovinetta and Xavier's, this time with Idris in Xaviers role. Johann fucked up twice. The first time when he killed her first husband and the second time when he got overly paranoid when she was suffering from amnesia and acted up. (like he couldn've had it all had he not been so insistent that she was inheritently rotten like Giovinetta). And while he was not to blame for his parents abuse he was actively profiting from it. Hating your abusive parent instead of your sibling is logical, but Innette was a child when she was locked up in the tower and beaten up for telling the truth about the crime Johann had committed. Her father war unreachable for her. She couldn't punish him. But Johann wanted her love and felt guilty so it was easier to transfer her feelings of hatred over to him, to let her anger out on him since that way she wouldn't have to fear any consequences. Giovietta was unaware of her mother's abuse of him but aware of her father's favourtism towards him just because he happened to be born male. And to be fair she tried to shallow her feelings of jealousy because she was waiting for the day her marriage would free her but Johann was the one who destroyed this hope and the reason why she was locked up a second time and no one wanted to marry her. Johann killed someone first, he raped her first. Kretschmann said Johann and Idris are not the same person, so Giovinetta and Innette might not be the same person either. We can't say she had it coming.

What I'm trying to say is that I don't think Johann has morally the higher ground over Innette. You say Innette can't stomach the idea of Johann having more freedom or being more beloved by people but Johann can't stomach the idea either I think. It was never a problem for him because as a women she was already oppressed and never had anything to be jealous of to begin with, but as soon as Innette fought for the little freedom she could get (marriage) and tries to weaponize her feminity Johann starts to murder people or threaten to murder people (like when another man admired her and kissed her hand).

I'm in no way trying to excuse Giovinetta/Innette here. Her actions towards idris were absolutely vile and I love Idris/Johann alot more. I just think the twins receive an unequal amount of hatred because of a double standard and some things are viewed harsher than others. Like how infidelity gets condemned more in fiction than murder. For example I heard readers where particulary angry at Innette for having sex with Indrikson and demanded the scene to be changed. Johan might have imprisoned, drugged and sexually assaulted Innette but he was always utterly loyal to her and that's why he is loved more.

Engage Drip Marketing: Framme

Well, looks like there’s no telling when these characters are gonna drop. Seems odd, but oh well. 

Today we get Framme, finishing up the starting Dragon Guardians. We’ve seen quite a bit of her already, so there isn’t too much information. Still worth checking out though.

Framme is a 33rd generation "Dragon Guardian", protecting the Divine Dragon in the Holy Land of Lythos. She is Clan's younger twin sister, and is more confident and energetic than him.

Framme's self-introduction. Although she's a Dragon Guardian, it seems that her admiration for Alear is more like the idolization from a fan than loyalty.

"I'm also a 33rd generation Dragon Guardian, Framme! I'm Clan's twin younger sister.

I've been waiting super long for you to wake up!"

She says "anata-sama"(あなた様) which is super respectful. Like Your Holiness or something if localizing.

In terms of first impressions, I was pretty indifferent at first. But now she’s reminding me of Mae from Echoes a bit, and she was one of my favorite characters. Still, not a fan of the whole “Alear fangirl” thing. I get that it makes sense in lore, but avatar worship always leaves a sour taste in my mouth. As such, she could very easily go the way of Edelgard for me. Hopefully she’ll have fun supports with other characters, though.

Other people noticed this earlier, but she and Clan seem to be the Cain and Abel of this game, at least in terms of colors. Personality wise, they remind me of this duo archetype in the older games; the young, mild mannered, and male mage, and his more upbeat, outgoing, female counterpart. Think Boey and Mae, or Azelle and Tailtiu. This time, though, they have a sibling dynamic, which is a fun way to shake up the formula.

I’m also fairly sure Framme will get an emblem ring too, though it is hard to say. If I had to guess, it’d be either Lyn or Ike. Framme uses asian based martial arts, and of the fe lords Lyn has the most asian influences in both design and fighting style (though Corrin also fits this criteria, I’m positive she’ll bond with the manakete of this game instead). Ike, on the other hand… to be honest, I have a hard time seeing who else of the major characters he could bond with. And fist fighting and using an ax kind of go together, a bit… Again, mainly having a hard time thinking who else he could go with. And Clan does bond with Micaiah, so there's also that.

Now it’s time for our crit clip…

Framme's starting class is Monk. A war monk that heals allies with staves. They also are adept at self-defense from Qigong training.

It should be noted that Framme is just a monk, not a war monk. None of the kanji between either word are the same, and there are specific terms for various warrior monks in Japanese, like Yamabushi. This means monk is probably a base class, with something like war monk or grandmaster acting as its promotion. Though, that does make me curious if we’ll get a more combat based fist classes, like brawler.

Edit: So, I didn’t catch this at first, but Framme’s class is specifically called Monk/ Qigong. Qigong is a form of martial arts which focuses on using “qi”, which is a type of life energy in certain spiritual beliefs. It certainly makes me curious. Earlier, I assumed states like Dragon, Cavalry, and Mystic detailed stuff like weakness and how terrain affects movement. Qigong is interesting. Will there be special anti qigong weapons, will monks and brawlers have an easier time moving through certain tiles? Or are these things terms for certain class families? Either way, I find myself eagerly waiting for the inevitable Famitsu article that clarifies how classes will be handled.

As for the clip, there's a surprising amount to chew on. We actually see a bit more menuing from Framme. From this, we can see that staves still have durability, while weapons don’t. She has two scrolls,  training and iron body arts respectively. A good deal of stats when selecting a weapon are shown as well. Before that, though, we have something really meaty, an option called “Chain Guard”.

What is chain guarding? Honestly I can’t say, but none of the other characters are shown to do it. Perhaps it’s a unique ability among martial arts classes. Seems like the kind of thing a famitsu article will cover though.

We also learn that fists have a weapon advantage over bows. While some have proposed a weapon triangle of Bows < Fists < Tomes < Bows, I think something else is going on. Both bows and tomes are gray, while fists are yellow. As such, I think it’s more likely fists beat bows and tomes, acting as an anti range weapon. Another thing of note is that she doesn’t double the archer. This can be explained by the weapon being a training scroll, which specifically doesn’t allow follow up attacks. Sadly, it seems like Framme isn’t a very combat focused unit, though, considering she couldn’t even kill her foe with a crit. Hopefully this is just the result of the training weapons being so weak, or poor Framme may find herself trapped in the heal bot mines.

Now when it comes to the map, there are some spicy things I took notice of. First, both Alfred and Celine are able to use their engage forms in this chapter, making me wonder if the concept is introduced here, or earlier. When Framme attacks, we also get to see a look at one of the walls, with large windows. They’re probably not important, but it's still a pretty sight. What really caught my eye, though, was a good chunk of empty space on the maps left side, with a stairway nearby. Seems like the kind of spot either new recruits or enemy reinforcements would enter.

So, to wrap things up, we have all the starting dragon guardians now. While the avatar worship isn’t great, they seem like a solid starting party. As for what comes next… I’d say Alfred and the crew we see in the windmill chapter are a safe bet. It’ll be interesting to get looks at characters outside of these heavily shown three, that's for sure. As for when we’ll see them… I have no fucking clue. Maybe we’re alternating between one and two characters a week, but at this point, only the social media managers know.

okay so i actually write on the tumblr text posts LOL cause on my laptop, it autosaves and that feature made it super convenient tbh (CAUSE LITERALLY BEFORE THEY IMPLEMENTED THIS, I WAS WRITING I THINK CACOETHES PT 2 AND MAKING THE MAKING OUT SCENE AND OPERA LITERALLLYYYYY CRASHED AND DELETED THE SCENE AND I WAS SO DEVASTATED BC I WAS ON A ROLL AND WHEN I WAS REWRITING IT, IT DID NOT HIT THE SAME I STG), plus it helps me format how long a paragraphs need to be and what it'll look like on mobile as well.

i used to use google docs for editing, saving back-ups just in case, and the word count, but i heard that they've been using what people wrote in docs for AI usage and overall not respecting user privacy, and ofc i didn't fuck with that so i moved into libreoffice as an alternative and now save back ups to there and onto my flashdrive. it's kinda like a microsoft word copycat except that it doesn't really autosave nor have a decent autocorrect/grammar program like docs/word, so i've been also trying to find another autocorrect/grammar alternative cause ik i fuck up certain phrasing or misspell hella things LMFAO

in all: tumblr for writing, libreoffice for back ups and editing

i might try obsidian and other alternative free writing programs to see if they'll be a little more better, it also depends if i like the interface and if it's easy to understand bc i'm so used to what word and docs look like and how they work. but yeaa that's essentially what i use teehee

Hi once again sparrow :D so I've been trying to wrap my mind around why Sakura loves Sasuke so much in part2. Care I'd understand, crush maybe as well but such romantic devotion not rly. Briefly I thought it was hypocritical of me to bash on her and not on Naruto for his obsession, but it is different: they had an emotional bond and understand each other (it wasn't one sided) and Naruto was trying gasp how Sasuke feels about well... everything. So following same logic then Sakura got stuck on the bond she thought she formed which she didn't realize was onesided (I never got the impression she understood Sasuke; he might care for her as a teammate but idk if tenten was on team 7 I think it'd be same); trust me, i tried to come up with logical not degrading explanation, but in the end it always came to: she's delusional about whole thing. Ik we always love someone due to something, so I'm trying to find that something

Obsession is not wrong, Really!!! Everyone of us would have been obsessed about something in our lives at some point of time. Like Movies, TV series, Music, Celebrity Crush and whatnot.

But Sakura's obsession always carry certain sexual undertones which always repulse me and probably most of her haters. She really come off as a creep... Like Come on!! She never trusted Sasuke completely, She never tried to understand him and She never respected his feelings.... But she was insanely obsessed about him... All the while **Insert her wanting to steal his Kiss** and **Insert her wanting to see the dick** and **Insert her wanting to travel with him during his Atonement Journey despite her skills being needed by many people**.

So, What gives???

She just needs his D and wants to play King and Queen game with him by making Prince and Princess!!!

Romantic feelings means having some amount of emotional attraction as well as some physical attraction towards someone. But Sakura totally forgot about the Emotional Attraction part and focused only on the Physical Attraction...

When asked for that 'Something', Kishimoto literally told that 'The reason why Hinata came to like Naruto was clear. But there is no real reason as to why Sakura likes Sasuke and I tried to give something but I know it would sound contrived... She was addicted to Sasuke'

So, Even if you find some reason... there won't be anything because there's none.

But if I have to give a logical reason... I would simply say, Sakura wants to become popular by leeching off the Popularity and Attention, which Sasuke receives from everyone around him. She was bullied by everyone because of her Forehead. But then, she saw Sasuke who was Handsome and Popular.... And thought that if she could sway him, then her peers would be jealous of her and starts to respect her existence because 'She is the Girl who took the Handsome man of Konoha from the Prestigious Uchiha Clan, Uchiha Sasuke'.

Look at the Girls who were totally jealous about Sakura... All because she got the chance to sit near him. Imagine if only Sakura got the official status of Sasuke's Girl Friend!!!! This is the kind of attention Sakura wants...

Its very stark contrast to how Naruto felt about Sasuke. He always wanted to be an equal standing next to Sasuke. And he want to be recognized as Naruto who is very similar to Sasuke in terms of Skills and Strength but not as Naruto who is a friend of Sasuke.

And that's why Sakura ended up doing that Uchiha Sakura and decorating Uchiha Clan crest all over her house. She attaches her self-worth with another Boy and I think that twisted mindset became an obsession mixed with delusion which you can call it as 'Addiction'.
