Have you got any tips for making a VN? They’ve always Interested me but I’ve never really bothered with one:)
for like planning, motivation, or the literal mechanics of it? if ur talking about a google slides VN, then i can help a little HAHA but...i recommend a video... i think there are prob tutorials online?! i kinda just opened google slides and figured it out myself but yk. HAHA
i think you should get very familiar with google slides. LOL. learn how to make shapes, transparent shapes, how to fit images, how to adjust colors/opacity/etc, how to use animations, how/what to link so things go to the right page. . .
always keep a few "asset" slides too. like with the textbox(which should already have the nameplate and text on it). once you have that, it'll be very easy to copy/paste it onto diff slides so that everything remains consistent and its not jumping around!
for sprites, i had a REALLY HARD TIME MAKING THEM LAYER PROPERLY LOLLLLL. i cant even remember how i did it, but i think it was like...
i had 6 versions of each sprite. make sure when you download them, they fit the size of your canvas as much as possible - otherwise youll be stuck with shitty cropping that makes it harder to keep them perfectly layered for seamless expression changes.
when you put them into google slides, it's kind of annoying cuz itll perfectly layer 3, and then randomly place the other two on the page. so youll just have to delete those and re-insert them...hope it works... it took a lot of trail and error for me cuz i couldnt understand why it was messing up so much LOL.
idek what else to say. it was truly a pain in the ass. will be doing it again though
#asks#LOL#ill try to find a tutorial online and post it...#or maybe ill make my own tut? but i dont like to talk on camera . . or explain . . . and im hella awkward verbally . . . LOL#<- literally does competitive speech. cant talk for the life of me.

Hi! I'm trying to start making my first battle jacket, but idk where to start, any tips?
thanks you for your atention!
-🐛
heyey!
i remember making a post about this but once again i cant find it. so ill just make one again.
step one is gathering inspo! i personally use tumblr and pinterest. sketching out ideas you have to see how they fit together also helps create an idea of what you might want. if you want to make sure you like the placement of a patch or chain, you can attach it with safety pins first.
dont let yourself be stopped by gatekeepers or elitists, its your jacket and thus there are no rules. although i do advise you to not put political patches on your back, to prevent bigots from attacking you from behind.
also dont put big and/or sharp spikes on gear youre going to be wearing while in the moshpit. you dont want to seriously injure yourself someone else, also make sure you dont have any patches attached with safetypins on your jacket while in the pit, for the same reason
if you dont have a jacket yet id advise looking out for them on fleamarkets, garagesales, thriftstores or online secondhand sites like vinted. i advise buying one that is a bit bigger on you, cause jackets tend to shrink a bit when you sew patches onto them. also a sturdier one like denim or leather (dont buy "vegan" (plastic) leather itll disintegrate in a year) makes sure your jacket will last longer.
i made a tutorial on making patches last year,
also made a tutorial on making bottlecap buttons
for chains id look in hardware or craftstores, spikes can be found in craftstores sometimes but etsy is a good alternative. if you have other alternative friends you can also trade with them! i get a lot of my coolest stuff from my friends.
ehh i think thats about it? let me know if you want some more in depth info about something.

𝚃𝚎𝚊’𝚜 𝙷𝚊𝚒𝚔𝚢𝚞𝚞 𝙾𝙲𝚜: 𝙷𝚒𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚒
Information and images continue below the cut!
Information
📝 ┈➤ just the basics!
Name: Himari Tagawa
Age: 18 (pre time-skip), 24 (post time-skip)
Affiliation: Karasuno (third year)
Birthday: September 30th
Height: 5’3” (ft), 160.0 (cm)
S/O (if applicable): Tetsurō Kuroo (eventual boyfriend)
Notable Friends: Kymora Iwasaki (oc), Noa Higashi (oc), Shinju Kita (oc), Daiwa Fujimoto (oc)
Character Overview
🗒️ ┈➤just the basic idea! complete lore/stories will be shared elsewhere.
Himari lives with her mom and dad in the rural suburbs of the Miyagi Prefecture. From a young age, her proclivity for theatrics and performance made itself known. She dipped her toes into every metaphorical "pool of dance" she could find: ballet, waltz, tap… if it was under the sun, she was trying it. What she really fell in love with was contemporary styles, taking inspiration from Broadway, hip-hop, and the blooming subgenres she came across.
In middle school, Himari's assortment of dance lessons had to be halted. Her family wasn't particularly wealthy, and her parents were spending their "wiggle-room-money" on their daughter's dance classes. After Himari's paternal grandfather fell ill, her family made the decision to contribute their spare savings to funding his care and treatment.
For the remainder of her Middle School years, it was up to Himari to find dance tutorial videos online and attempt to teach herself. But independence, is good, right? And she'll be damned if this will stop her.
Himari has her dedications: dancing, family, her friends. What she didn't see coming was something she couldn't help but become attached to: a too-tall, messy-haired boy with a penchant for driving her up the wall.
Letters of Recommendation
✉️ ┈➤ A. K. A. how she’d be described!
Himari is -- and always has been -- a little spitfire. While she doesn't seek to be inflammatory or rude, her inherent resting "resting bitch face" and prickly demeanor often strikes others as off-putting. And while Himari knows it, she's of the mind that it's not her responsibility to curate how others see her, or to correct them if they make sweeping generalizations.
Even so, this can lead others to be driven away by her unwavering personality. She's the type of person you have to acclimate to being around, and learning to interpret her tones. Fiery and harsh, you've got to stick around long enough to see the sincerity beneath.

Spiritual safety in the digital spheres, a quick note on digital wards, the importance of not leaving taglocks around and how to protect yourself.
In an ideal world, this would not be needed, however its known that those who practice any form of spirituality often fall into the traps of envy, comparison and letting the wounded ego drive to attempt bindings, jinxes, hexes and even curses.
The options for dealing with that are to either
A: not be in these communities
B: learn to protect yourself.
This post covers some ideas for how to do option B, below are a set of digital wards and how to incorporate them:
Sigils.
Using sigils is a common practice for protection and chaos magic, an easy way to do so is create a digital sigil, layer it into your profile picture and/or banner at low opacity and merge the layers.
The benefits to this is that once made the sigil does not run out of energy, the energy consumed to keep your electronics alive and your profile visible in the interwebs directly fuels the sigil. This is ideal for when you feel specific people are targeting you, in servers or on public blogging spaces such as this platform.
Custom statuses, mostly applicable to discord.
A simple enchantment against magic, harm and ill will does wonders, and applies to all who view or interact with your profile in any way. So long as the status is visible.
Enchantments in posts and bios
This, in my opinion, is the ideal one. Putting a poetic enchantment in your bio weaves it into the coding of your profiles, making it an integral part of the taglock should anyone attempt to use it to target you.
However, if you want to really secure yourself. Make your username and online placebo name enchanted as well, highly recommended and works wonders!
Locking your phone
Phones, much like anything with a reflective surface, are portals for spirits and energies.
To spiritually lock your phone is to not allow anything to view you, your spirit or your energies through it. There are several ways to do so, I recommend using the same method as mirror locking coupled with an enchanted lockscreen for extra safety.
Now, for a few general safety tips courtesy of yours truly:
Dont leave taglocks behind, any connections to your spirit and self should be temporary.
Dont vent about present magical/spiritual problems in public servers. I get it, its appealing, but its also an opportunity for people to fuck with you.
Dont overextend, dont overhelp, and do not make oaths and bindings in digital text unless you are 100% sure of it. Unlike paper written ones which can be removed from existence by different means, digital ones exist forever.
Ultimately, you need to have a presence of do not fuck with me, there should be an energy around you of if someone fucks around they will find out. Dont be afraid to speak with confidence, dont be afraid of making your wards baneful and let them bite back and create mayhem in the lives of those who try you.
That would be all for now, future elaborations, tutorials etc for each method may happen if requested.

hii, sorry if you've answered this before but what do you use to make your edits ? your stuff is so cool it's inspiring me to try it out for myself hdkghdkgj,,

oh my gosh tysm 🥺 i really appreciate this but ill just get straight into the list! underlined = link , highlighted is website names
sorry for the long post i ended up yapping.. tldr photopea, ezgif, lunapic, alphabetiser, nameberry, magic baby names, baby centre, sekaipedia, pinterest, tumblr, . also at the bottom is a tutorial on making stamps & some templates
for basic editing i use photopea - https://www.photopea.com/ , if its too confusing you can also try ibis paint but its too confusing for me. i click "new project" and then use the dimensions i need ( tumblr banner = 1280x720 , twt banner = 1500x500 ). i can also make basic photopea functions tutorial if you need it bc a lot of people find it difficult to navigate. i dont have any specific favourite layer blends but i recommend light colours -> use the section under "lighten" , dark colours -> use the section under "darken" , blacks and whites -> use the section under "difference". of course once ur more comfortable u can just do whatver layer blends u want ^ ^
for gif editing / merging (layouts, pixels, blinkies) i use photopea's layer -> animation -> merge settings, however if that doesn't work i use ezgif - https://ezgif.com/ , specifically the gif maker.
for adding animations to stamps, i use lunapic's animations tab - https://www6.lunapic.com/editor/?action=animation-examples . i also used to use this website a lot for old layouts before i knew how to use photopea. below i highlighted my fav settings (3x for sizing)
for npts i use alphabetizer - https://alphabetizer.flap.tv/ to organise name lists. if you use this make sure to turn ON "ignore case" in the side menu!! it sorts capital letters as normal, and then i delete the capital letters later when formatting a post. for names i use websites like nameberry, magic baby names, and baby center. not sure how to explain it but i just get a feeling that a name suits a character ^ ^. as an example in all of these i used "orchid". for titles and pronouns i just use my imagination based off the character's wiki page.
for resources: i find proseka transparents online at sekaipedia - https://www.sekaipedia.org/wiki/Characters , or at @prosekaipng or @sekaitransparents . i find frames and pngs on pinterest or tumblr, and use unscreen to remove the background of gifs and remove.bg to remove the background of any image i cant be bothered manually removing. when i need to do touch-ups myself i use photopea
i find colour matches for layouts on pinterest, and then edit the shit out of them until it looks close enough to a colour palette (example below of some colour editing i've done recently). most of the things i do are extreme changes but i started off by making subtle changes in my old layout posts on lunapic, which i still sometimes do today like in the last example from a post currently sitting in my drafts i havent finished. ( ̄ ̄|| )
(this is how i found out my emu photopea file didnt save btw so excuse the missing elements ...)
for overlays, btw i use A LOT OF THESE, and also lots of custom PSDs. a psd is basically a colouring file you overlay on top of something, and are similiar to smart filters. in photopea you can click "image -> adjustments -> (whatever)" and apply that to one singular image, and these are called smart filters because you can transfer them to other images by individually dragging them. OR you can click "layer -> new adjustment layer -> (whatever" and this is a PSD because it automatically applies to all images. in photoshop, there are no "smart filters" iirc. i use a combo of smart filters & psds & overlays. i find overlays sometimes on pinterest, but mainly on tumblr. my favs below. use layer blends on these!!

for stamps i use templates in photopea using a raster mask. you can find templates on tumblr and deviantart, majority of tumblr dumps are from deviantart, so i focus on using deviantart myself and finding original stamp works on tumblr rather than reposts. some accounts i recommend are caterpillar-with-a-crayon and dixons-graveyard. remember to credit artists!!
to do this, first open a template in photopea using either " file -> open " or " open from computer " . next select the magic wand and select the inside of the stamp. next open a new layer using the blank page (second from the right, bottom right, next to the trash can below the layers) and use the brush tool to colour in the selection from earlier. it may look like an eraser, or any other icons shown in the menu. right click and select the brush tool, then hold down to colour it in. you should have something now looking like the fourth slide, with a stamp template on one layer and the colour on a layer above it.
to make the raster mask, de-select the colour by clicking anywhere in the dark grey surrounding the canvas. while on the colour layer, select "layer" (fourth from the left, next to "image" and "select, menu in the top left), then select "raster mask" -> "from transparency" . your coloured layer will then split into the colour surrounded by black, and a white version of the colour. both connected with a chain.
now, create a folder above your stamp template by clicking the button shaped like a file (bottom right menu, 3rd from the right, between a sheet of paper and a circle cut in half). now, click on the RIGHT split from the layer (the white colouring) and drag it onto the folder. it should stick there. now, anything you put inside that folder will fit the stamp inside! remember to turn OFF the red layer by click the eyes next to the layer. this wont affect your raster mask. i used an image and the text tool.
you can also do more complex things involving stamps but this is a basic tutorial ^ ^.

When you make Sonya doll could we get like a very detailed step by step tutorial post possibly. I would love to make a doll but I’ve never done anything like that before I wouldn’t even know where to begin
I CAN TRY... Rodya doll was my first proper attempt at an art doll. But if you'd like for now this is a playlist I made / reference. It's mainly stuff for armature, sewing, and hair wefts... I already had background in sculpting but theres plenty of videos for that online! As for now i could say I really only sculpt the head, hands/wrists and shoes... the rest is wire armatuere and padding from whatever is on hand (usually cheesecloth and cheap felt) and some aluminum foil for their ribcage and pelvis...
I swear someone had a little guide of their own armature up but i cannot FIND it... if i find the image ill reblog this ask but either way i can certainly try...
#as youve seen some people have also done it in cloth and theyre so cute... i only have a tutorial saved for the anime style dolls#like those touhou ones or micororganisms (i dont know what theyre called haha)#some videos in there are really just people Making their art doll but that stuff helps me so..!!!#Also i have wire that im pretty sure is oven safe but im too scared... LMAO#Tonight i could see how many WIP shots i took of rodya and maybe go from there if youd like even..#i was excited about his project there were many many photos

Hey, so ik you probably don't remember, but do you recall that anon you answered last August where I said if I ever "went full girlmode," it would be in part thanks to you posting the things you do?
Turns out that wasn't a very cis thing to say. In the process of girling rn, and I still truly believe your online presence was a part of it. You showed me I wasn't alone, and there's a huge confidence boost that comes with realizing you aren't broken, and there are words for what you are.
You don't know me, I don't know you, and there's a 99.9% chance things will stay that way until we both croak, but sincerely, thank you. Please live the rest of your life knowing you positively impacted at least one other person you'll never meet, simply by existing and being you. I will never be able to adequately express my gratitude. You changed my life. I'll never know for sure, but if you didn't make the art you do, I may well have never have figured it out.
I wish you nothing but the best. I hope you wind up making six figures at a job you love that fulfills you without stressing you out too hard. I hope you and Avery move in together and never have to worry about not having a roof over your heads, or food in your fridge, or spare money in the bank for the frivolous bullshit that makes life worth living. I hope the stars align and you're able to get every cosmetic procedure you want done, big and small, with no huge financial burden attached, and I hope that afterwards you're able to look in the mirror and be entirely satisfied with everything about your body. I hope you find love. I hope you find happiness. I hope you're able to figure out and treat every mental and physical illness that ails you (and you are so, so strong to have kept going, kept pushing forward, regardless, even if you shouldn't have had to).
You changed my life. You helped crack my egg. And you made one hell of a Blender tutorial series to boot. You're one of the coolest motherfuckers on the planet, flaws and all, drug abuse and heartbreak and mental illness and all, and I feel I owe you in ways I'll never be equipped to repay.
Never doubt your influence on this world is a positive one. My life is better now, and it's in part because you exist. Now think, how many such cases are there, where they didn't think to write a big frilly ask past midnight, where they just kept living, happier, probably queerer?
Thank you. A million times, thank you.
jeez!!!!!! this is the nicest thing any stranger has ever said to me, thank you! i don't even know what to say other than people like you really give me motivation to keep going with my online stuff. i promise i'll try to be the best version of myself i can be (and actually start making stuff again) so i can hopefully inspire more people to be their true selves.
(also i wouldn't really call my use of drugs "abuse", the closest i've come to that is an over-reliance on weed but i mostly do that to keep myself sane so it's a trade-off)

Drawing wiff waffles research
Waffles' Website
This artist chooses to remain anonymous. But through the years I was able to piece together that her real name is Kathrine, and goes by Rin. She is an artist from Canada. Her older youtube video on her channel is from October 2013.
The tools she used to draw on her computer was a wacom tablet and adobe photoshop.
December 2013 was when I was gifted an iMac and Wacom tablet to draw with and this was when I was online searching far and wide for digital artists on youtube that I could take inspiration from. Waffles was the only one that stuck.
EARLY WORK:
Early on she was posting videos of her digitally drawing fan art of characters from popular shows and movies while talking about her process. A lot of creators do this to create traction and to build an audience. She did mostly fan art for two years on her youtube channel. (so from 2013 - 2015)
THRIVING WORK:
In the year of 2015, the digital world of creativity grew on instagram and youtube, things like art challenges became popular and this is what helped her branch out of only drawing fan-art and being able to into character design as well as tutorial videos. This is when she grew the most, her art style continued to develop and more comfortable to her and her confidence in each stroke really gave me confidence and inspired me at the time.
CURRENT WORK:
Not long after her thriving in the digital art world, she let her community know that she suffered from vasculitis, an auto-immune disease that attacks her blood vessels, which can cause some serious fatigue and pain, the treatment causing her hands to shake. The thing that makes Rin so amazing is her commitment to her passion. She never wanted to stop drawing, she continued to make videos in between hospital visits and treatments. I'm sure it broke her heart that to draw digitally for a prolonged time became painful for her, it was an adjustment for her and her audience (even me!) to have a sudden change of content. Although she would sometimes draw digitally, she hardly does it as in-depth as she did in the past. As shes forced to do more traditional media, she explored and learned all sorts of materials such as watercolour, acrylics, pencils. She always shared her learning process with her audience, even returning to medias that she felt like she was awful at to try and improve. She believed in trying to draw each day to continue improving yourself even if its a small doodle in a daily planner.
It's been almost a year since her last youtube and instagram post. Unfortunately due to her anonymity, none of her fans are able to find out if she is still ok... and i think i might cry honestly. A Reddit thread full of fans talking about her being MIA claims that a couple of months ago she has told someone that her illness is no longer in remission in an email.

Just wanted to ask (and feel free to not answer), but how do you draw so much so quickly? I'm always impressed by how fast you doodle or paint. Also, wanted to say that I appreciate your Barok and DGS art as a whole.
and with this ask i have finally reached an artist milestone 😭
Well theres a short answer and a REALLY long answer (which ill put under cut when i get there).
short answer: practice + refs
which.....can be an annoying thing to hear. And as someone who studies art and has bought a LOT of online courses trying to figure out how industry people can just churn out work like nothing. it feels like a let down every time i find out their big secret. just practice and photo refs. Every. Single. Time.
LONG ANSWER:
its how you studying your refs. heres how i do mine
sorry if this is rambly. but ill try my best to at least be clear. BUT THIS is the EXACT way i taught myself how to be quicker.
I do not know if youve taken any art classes but essentially one of the ways to study gesture drawing is by first tracing ur photo ref to get a sense of the flow/proportions of the body. youve probably seen a billion of these tutorials floating around:

So last year around hmmmm june/july? i was NOT looking to get better at my anatomy or gesture. i was actually trying to get better at clothes. but my problem was it took me so long to draw out a figure (which i was fine with cause i liked how my people looked at the time) that i could never really just focus clothing part.
So i told myself look. ur not looking to draw in this style like this forever. so for now SIMPLIFY SIMPLIFY SIMPLIFY!!!! I WANT THE BAREBONES OF A HUMAN HERE TO MAKE A MANIQUIEN FOR CLOTHES OK
but how do i do that....
Im gonna use this piece as an example from my rise and yosuke fashion palooza month. FIRST u see i got all my photo refs together. i like those poses on the right and i want to switch out the clothes for the other ones i picked out. i trace out my poses. kind of like the tutorial up top but since this is about draping i was focused the exact places their waist/arms/legs/etc would bend.
and like the tutorial u turn off the photo ref and do a drawing based off that traced piece.
then i would turn on my refs and add on my clothes
And after a month of just doing that over and over and over. i was surprised to find that figures and poses were so much easier to understand when i would break them down like this. and once u get familiar with them the faster and more confidently you'll draw them.
I and still do this btw. heres my otasune from the last week
i used photo refs for all my sketches. if i cant find anything online to match what i want i just take photos of myself. and some might say well arent u just relying on reference TOO much?
AND AGAIN take it from someone who has spend a lot of money buying classes from their fav artists in the industry. The Secret of how they churn out so much cool work so fast always turns out to be this. practice and photo refs.
Every. Single. Time.(tho this is omitting a lot. im not getting into like they way they stylize their art work. that actually the fastest and funnest thing to do once u have ur base down)
Now PAINTING
The thing is, i dont actually post up all my work on this blog. So theres a ton of stuff you havent seen me do. These are some paintings i did 2 years ago for a class.
I already know how to pick my values and set up lighting. When you see me painting my figures now. i am not focused on learning these basics im actually just honing a technique.
you might see me post readmores with these kinds of wips. I lay in all my colors and lighting with the lasso tool. ALL THE MAJOR DECSIONS ARE DONE HERE
(the little miniature i add on the side basically tells me what the overall feeling is going to be when i blend in the lineart to be cohesive with my colors) ( also if you had any questions on my prepainting process tho. feel free to ask!!!)
and if you compare this wip to my finished piece youll actually find that i dont stray that far from what i've laid in.
everything happening at THIS stage is about feeling out how i want the textures to blend with one another and getting funky with some brush strokes.
and thats it? im not sure if any of this is helpful but if anything. i hope you come away from this feeling like what ive been doing here is nothing special. "THATS IT???? THATS ALL THERE IS??? well i could have done that :T"
exactly man. you can do ALL OF THIS aND MORE!!! I BELIEVE IN U :D
but ill let this be the last thing i leave u with my friend: my barok sketch and the refs i used for his boobies

your art is so pretty ;-; it makes my day seeing it.. can i ask, did it take a long time to get your art to where it is now? and was it a hard process? i wanna get better at art but i dont know how ;-; call me aku! i think ill be asking alot/praising you about your art lol
aku thank u sm ;v; i’m really touched..
um shhshshs to be fully honest i started drawing last december-ish...... just for this blog because of brainrot lmaOoo.... i think that’s kinda obvious if u scroll through my #demi doodles tag and see my sad first posts :’D
although!!! i did tryhard middle school art class a long time ago and i vouch, if u really get into it, u can learn a lot :> i think starting early even when i didnt continue painting afterwards still means a lot, bc since then i always saw art with a more critical & appreciative eye and i guess i still learned through osmosis?? LOL
that being said, the bulk of my learning really was done these past lovely brainrotty months, so don’t sweat it if u start late :) my dad is 58 now and my recent enthusiasm in doodling afflicted him too so now we’re learning together <333 and i adore what he makes already
i made a tutorial for my own painting style here aku nonnie, but there’s so many other resources available online elsewhere for learning too :> here’s my own personal tips for quick improvement below the cut ‼️
firstly i am seconding the ‘general painting tips’ section of the tutorial i linked :>
particularly about which fundamental concepts of art/drawing that u should really explore if u wanna improve quickly! (ex. for drawing humans, learning proportion and gesture is much more useful than detailed anatomy!)
focused practices on areas of art u wanna improve in >>>>>
figure out precisely where u need to improve and focus on solving those issues. smth i like to do is to doodle without reference, find similarly-composed but much nicer art that does the specific thing really well, and then compare & analyze what i’m missing or could do better
in general, looking at other people’s art that u like and figuring out what exactly u like abt it is great! at least thats how i improved in the years i didnt even touch a sketchbook
VARY the art u make as much as possible! even if u have a certain favorite style, in the learning process its important to explore as much as possible. this includes varying the subject matter (draw hoomans a lot? try nature or backgrounds!), the art styles (realism is important to try! but so is stylization!!), the media (i learned SO much so fast when i switched from traditional to digital!), and more!!
comics helped me bc i was forced to make things i don’t naturally love to, like those damn flowers T_T in general incorporating things u need to focus on into projects u love (comics for me, maybe character design for u?) is a great cheat to making the process seem easy :>
ask for feedback!!!!!!
use MANY references every time u draw!!!!!
but ofc nothing beats drawing often. its okay to just draw what u like so u can keep going—i’m personally 100% brainrot fuelled and it did me wonders lol. in the end putting in the hours is what will give u a strong grasp, and its also what u need to develop a style. frequent ‘disposable’ but thoughtful doodles >>>> sparse ‘masterpieces’
be kind to your art. know it is already amazing now, but you WILL keep improving. i believe in you
that’s all i got off the top of my head! it seems kinda overwhelming when i ramble about it this way lol i’m sorry :’> but these are all just lighthearted tips to make drawing more fun! in the end, what’s important is that you are having fun creating. brainrot and tumblr is DEFINITELY my secret :) good luck aku i’m rooting for you!
#i might edit along the way bc im definitely still learning as well#we’re in this together aku non :) feel free to hit me up any time about doodling!#art advice#art tips#tw age#thanku for asking <3#love u aku#this is so funny bc fun fact aku in my 1st language means ‘me/i’ so its like saying hi me! love u me! ....mood#and in my 2nd language (japanese) it means ‘evil’ HAHA#.....wow aku sorry for the demi lore spam HAHA i appreciate u a lot as well!!#demi rambles

Sorry about being vague last night. I was asking about sign language. I don't know sign language and I didn't want a bad source when I describe movements. I get anxious if I just look up sources online about disabilities, so I try to ask people with said disability for their sources.
That’s okay! I’ve just looked at your reblog, and I get where you’re coming from now. I totally get that searching online is overwhelming – especially if you can’t verify the source, and don’t know enough to make a critical judgement about it yourself – so I’ve taken this as an opportunity to put together a masterpost. (Which I’ve admittedly been meaning to do for like, half a year? a long time, anyway. oops 😅)
Sign Language-Related Resources
For describing sign language and understanding the culture that surrounds it, and knowing how to put this into your writing, this masterpost includes resources that cover as many sign languages as I could find. The source material ranges from YouTube videos to online dictionaries; non-fiction books on the subject to novels that I thought did a great job of representing sign language; and other stuff in between that I think might be helpful.
Last updated: 23.06.2020
To start with, I’m going to direct you to some resources that I’ve made myself, all right here on Tumblr:
#sign language tag
#deaf characters tag
Sign Language F.A.Q
Those tags have a lot of links, infographics and posts that I’ve collected over the three years I’ve been here; the F.A.Q addresses some common questions I’ve received.
DEAF YOUTUBERS
Jessica Kellgren-Fozard | BSL / SSE | English – I recc her videos a lot, but that’s because her YT account really is a goldmine of resources. Whether you want to know about deafness, chronic illness, vintage fashion, disability-related issues, queer history or makeup (or more!), she has you covered. Some playlists/videos you might find helpful are:
Sign Language Tutorials (playlist) – what it says on the tin. A playlist full of tutorials on sign language. They’ll help you get a basic understanding of BSL (British Sign Language) and SSE (Sign Supported English), if you’re interested.
My Sign Language Story (video) – Talks about her own experience with sign language, deafness, and the importance of making sign language more widely known. Worth watching just to give you a good idea of what sign language (in this case, Sign Supported English) looks like in conjunction with speech. Note how the signs are incorporated into her body language.
Nyle DiMarco | ASL | American – Haven’t watched his videos (only a few for the purposes of this ask), but he’s a prominent Deaf activist and model with a really extensive selection of videos on American Sign Language and Deaf culture (American-centric).
Representation Matters: Why Deaf Actors Should Play Deaf Characters (video) – DiMarco explains why it’s important for deaf actors to play deaf characters. This may seem irrelevant in light of what you’re asking, but I think this video has a lot of value because it shows you the nuances of sign language and the importance of considering ASL culture when speaking/writing about sign language.
[TEDx] Making Education Accessible to Deaf Children – Again, great to watch to see how ASL looks in action. As with Jessica’s My Sign Language Story video, note how the sign language and body language intersect. (And also a very valuable and educational video in its own right; it gives you a look at what the Deaf community is like around the world and the difficulties faced in language acquisition for young deaf people).
Dr. Bill Vicars | ASL | American – His YouTube is dedicated to self-study and providing free ASL resources for interpreters, students, parents of deaf children, and anyone else who wants a reliable way to learn ASL without the cost.
MISC. YOUTUBE VIDEOS
Maltesers | Theo’s Dog – Maltesers advert featuring a funny conversation in BSL between two friends. The whole lighter side of life series of adverts brings me a lot of joy whenever they’re on. Note how there aren’t exact closed captions for everything they say – at the end, the one in the flowery shirt asks “how?” and the other just motions. That’s the sort of dialogue that would seep out into the body language descriptions when you’re writing signed dialogue.
ASL Conversation – How ASL looks in a casual conversation (i.e., when the speaker isn’t addressing an audience or talking with a preformative aspect. Just two people having a good old natter).
BSL Dinner chat – A deaf toddler (two years old) chats with her mum over dinner. Again, this is an example of spontaneous chatter, but it also shows you the differences in how children sign vs adults
BSL Imaginary Play – from the same people as the last video, two years on. Note how the sign language works in a group conversation.
WEBSITES & DICTIONARIES
BSL Zone – a brilliant site from the British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust. Here you’ll find TV series and documentaries commissioned specifically for a Deaf/BSL-speaking audience.
signbsl.com – a free dictionary of British Sign Language
Handspeak.com – free dictionary of American Sign Language
Spread the Sign – an international online dictionary for sign languages around the world
BOOK RECS: FICTION
The Shape of Water by Daniel Kraus and Guillermo del Toro – The MC, Elisa, is mute, but this book is an excellent example of how you can write sign language in a way that differentiates it from verbal speech without othering.
The Quality of Silence by Rosamund Lupton – A great book, told from the POV of a deaf child and her mother. Another one in which I loved the way sign language was written.
BOOK RECS: NON-FICTION
British Sign Language: Teach Yourself by Paul Redfern and Deafworks – this is the book I’m using to (very slowly) regain my fluency in BSL!

Artist Interview with Daphne Hutcheson
Last week I had the opportunity to speak with Daphne Hutcheson, an artist I’ve admired for quite some time. Her work and knowledge in the arts has helped me, along with many other artists in the online community.

Daphne Hutcheson, also known as @paperwick on social media, has been creating artwork from a very young age, with works in both traditional and digital media. Her work covers a broad range of fandoms, original content, and client based works along with some very useful and resourceful tutorials.
K: I wanted to first ask about your experience attending SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design)?
D: My experience at SCAD was tepid at best. The teachers were good, but I mean very specifically the professors who were teaching in my major, which was sequential art. SCAD is really not a great institute for anyone who isn't rich enough for their parents' to cover the cost. That's my biggest issue with it, they will cripple you with debt, so if anyone is lower-income, I would highly suggest learning via some of great online courses or using a state college's art program to sort of direct you if you need direction and deadlines. I know I need them. SCAD's loans are no joke. The college itself was very good my first year, they do a lot to make sure incoming students feel heard and welcomed, and then after that they really don't try for you. As soon as you're a sophomore, they could care less about how you feel to be there. Their class attendance requirements are grueling and there's no room for accidents--you miss four class sessions and you fail the course. It's wild, and even if you're in the hospital, those absences will not be forgiven. If you're late, it counts as an absence.I don't recommend it. At all. All the learning I garnered there is online accessible these days, one just has to hunker down, find it, and put it to practice. My professors were great, but no education is worth that price tag. Depending on your major there, you will be treated differently by the school. For example, their fashion and fibers majors are doted on, whereas a major like animation is ground hard into the dirt. There were unrealisitc deadlines to meet for class projects and kids would be in the school buildings overnight trying to meet them. Some fell asleep in their chairs and Paula Wallace (the owner) saw that one day and had them replace the chairs with far less comfortable chairs. Some kids had heart attacks from staying up to meet deadlines. Such a bad work culture of "all-nighters". In part the students' fault, but none of the faculty really stopped it or discouraged it, save one teacher in a different major, and that being said, that teacher still gave ridiculous deadlines so we'd "be prepared for the industry". That's not at all what the industry is like (discluding the game industry right now). It is truly a hard place to thrive and everyone I've known who has graduated had months to years of burnout after finishing, including myself. I'd hazard real caution when choosing to go to a private art college, art institutes included. No education is worth that amount of debt.

K: Wow, that’s unfortunate to hear. I wonder if students are having similar experiences at colleges such as CAD or RISD?
D: I have heard very similar things about places like RISD and CAD where it’s all about the money, but I can’t point you towards any of the specifics. I really just want people to go into it with a clear head and know it’s going to be hard exiting. They really don’t prepare you for business.
K: What would you have done differently? Would you have signed up for online courses?
D: If I was to do it over, I would have liked to dive straight into developing personal projects, just making the work. Watching and reading free youtube videos and blog posts by artists. That would not have flown with my parents, they’re very by the book “go to college or get a job” type people. With than in mind, I would’ve gone to the local college I was within biking distance of as a sort of clean, and done fairly half assed studies by full assed my artwork.
K: That sounds like what a lot of artists, particularly those interested in digital art are doing. But, have you ever considered going back to school, or enrolling in a program or an atelier that you think would be beneficial to your art career?
D: Not genuinely. If I had time, I wouldn't mind enrolling in something that would teach me puppet animation, but between freelance and my day job, it's hard to find time to produce personal work and then also learn. I am pro-learning, always learning because that keeps your work fresh, keeps your mind sharp and ready to switch up on a dime. But course work is something I'm not super fond of, to be honest.

K: I understand. So, you've graduated and are currently doing freelance work along with your other day job. In your freelance work, what kind of work are you taking from clients?
D: Mostly I do storyboard animatics for a few advertising agencies, but I do some card art for games here and there, like Companion's Tale. I just signed on to do some tarot card artwork for a company called Legacy: Fables. I'll take anything that sounds interesting and that I have time for. It's all digital; traditional art is way more personal for me so I almost exclusively make traditional artwork as gifts for friends.
K: Are there any particular fandoms or genres that you tend to work more in?
D: As far as fandom work and commissions, it's Dragon Age all the way BABY! It's a good community and I owe a lot to them. I'm planning on reopening my tarot commissions here soon once I finish up a few of my freelance projects. I am an old hat with fantasy stuff and most comfortable there, but I really want to start working on robots and mechanics and cities. All that sci-fi goodness.

K: Wow, that's great to hear you've got very steady work, and they’re with industries and agencies! I hope you'll get to share that work once it's gone down the production pipeline. Have you ever considered applying for work with a company like EA/Bioware?
D: Yeah! I've lucked out a lot, it feels like all of this sort of dumped itself in my lap. My biggest resistance to applying to Bioware or any gaming industry position right is rooted in how they treat their workers. Bioware, specifically back when Anthem was released, had a nasty report come out on how management had run their workers to the point of many having mental breakdowns, and several just leaving and never coming back. They refer to those who have breakdowns while working during their months and months of crunch as "stress casualties", and I'm honestly quite disgusted by what I hear. I think once the gaming industry unionizes I'll consider applying, but the things I hear, not just about Bioware and EA... It's horrifying. Riot, Blizzard, Activision, Treyarch, Rockstar... the list could go on. Not to like tank the conversation into a dark place, I just have such strong feelings about it.

K: That's ok! It's good to hear different perspectives, especially when talking about the industry. Alright, on to the next question. Looking at your work, from sequential narrative to tarot artwork, I’m really impressed by your storytelling. When you’re creating stories and characters, do you pull a lot from your own experiences and emotions, or more from other sources such as music, film, or literature?
D: Ahh that's a hard one. I think I pull far more from outside of me than inside of me.The way things are shaped comes from my own experience, but I think a lot of my content comes from outside influences, like movies, books, music, and art.Howls Moving Castle, the book not the film, had a huge affect on me and how light I want the stories I tell to be, but I think I have a long way to go when putting stories together.I am super empathetic so it's easy to take outside influences and really feel them, but also it's hard to tell where I start and those influences ends.
K: Very well said, and the comment about the novel, I can really feel that in your personal work, especially your recent animated landscape piece.
D: Thanks!
K: The first time I came across your work was one of your Dragon Age tarot works, but also the tutorial on how you created them. It was incredibly helpful to me and I know to lots more artists. Your tutorials and words of advice have proven very successful, but have you ever received any advice or tutorials that really switched gears or level upped your techniques?
D: The answer is yes, absolutely. Let me see, I don't seek out tutorials anymore, but there was something I saw recently that was good. Sinix's head from any angle is a great approach to drawing faces at crazy angles. Also, check out Bunabi on Tumblr. Bunabi is so fast and her work is beautiful, and has great tutorials also, just incredible.
I unfortunately can’t link to any specifics, but tutorials like this one do me a lot of good.
People can just screenshot process stuff that reminds me that there are a million ways to approach art, like sketch up, grids, freehanding. I think I benefit from understanding that there are a million approaches more than following the tutorials super hard.

K: Great, thank you! I wanted to ask a few more questions, one about your Patreon. It seems like the next big wave for digital artists. How has it been creating one and keeping on top of the awards, and is there anything you would want to do differently with yours?
D: So Patreon is kind of a basket you can fill with prizes, maybe some of the prizes for money (probably prizes for money), and that works for a lot of people. I have a more of a "here's content I don't put elsewhere if you'd like it" approach to it cause I'm inconsistent with patron pay-outs. Patreon for artists with chronic mental illness is a struggle. Hands down. I started one hoping it would iron out my discipline issues a year or two back, and it didn't. It made me feel hella guilty cause I could not keep up with what I said I'd keep up with, and then I felt worse. It was disastrous. I refunded most of the pledges I got during the three months I had it open. Then I closed it for a year and brought it back online recently. Now all my content is free, it's still inconsistent, but if people want to support me I welcome it. I think Patreon is a good platform, but I will never be able to use it is intended. I respect the people who can keep up with it all, that kind of discipline takes a crazy amount of strength of character, but I don't motivate with money very well. In the end, I motivate through helping others as best I can, so it'll always be free content. I have very few plans for it, other than I want to put together a brush pack and share it there with brushes I made. I just need a moment to sit down and make that happen. I've got a tutorial for using photos to make quick painted backgrounds too, and I just have to organize that sucker.
K: Thank you for being so open about it. I think what you're doing is so insightful and helpful in what you're offering to your followers, especially those who may also be struggling with anxiety and depression.
K: Can you share what your process is like from a sketch to a finished piece? Do you thumbnail a lot before, use references to build from, and so on?
D: I like to do throw away thumbnails on notepaper.

And then I take those thumbnails and do a more thought out version digitally.
K: Wow, these are both beautiful. If you don't share these with patrons already, I would! I also like that you've given each one their own color, a good way to organize!
D: Thank you! I'll make sure to share these, I forget about them genuinely. I'll diverge in two directions from here depending on need. If what I'm working on is simple, I hop straight into color. If it's going to be complicated, ie crazy armor, specific architecture, I will do a line pass first and then launch into color. Either way, this is where most of my references come into play. Once that is solid I add detail work.
K: Reference can be so important in art; it really can bring work to a new level if used properly!
D: Yeah reference is king. I use it constantly, even when doing the most stylized thing, cause there's always stuff you forget. The waves I did for my last card, I had reference of barrel waves up constantly, and it helps a ton.

K: My last question is where do you see yourself in five years? I know this can be a challenging question, but if you had any goals or plans you’d like to see come into fruition, what would they be?
D: Five years? These questions are always a struggle for me. I try not to look past a week at a time because it's all so BIG. And my life has undergone so many huge changes in such a short period of time SO MANY times that it's hard to make long term plans. Especially when dealing with mental illness. So I try to think less about where I'll be in any amount of time, and more about what I want to progress towards achieving, it's a little easier and sets up less expectation. So this is not necessarily a five year plan, and more an eventual future plan. I want to have enough tutorial work to put together an art resources book/pdf online. I want to develop my freelance work further and create my own studio, ideally for illustrative style work, smaller animations, and maybe some classes for people interested in color and storytelling. I want to put together a small guide of sorts also for artists and people who need healing, since there's so many of us. That one is harder because it's an amorphous subject, but I think there's a lot of room for commentary there and a lot of people wanting to hear it, and I think it'll have to come from all those hurting. It's just a matter of how we'll organize that.I am a huge sap. That's my way. So in 5 years I'm hoping I'll be a better and more helpful sap.
K: Well, I hope you're able to make a lot of this happen, we need more empathy and help in the world. Thank you again Daphne for your time, this was really informative and an honest interview which I know others will appreciate.
D: Thank you, Kallie!

Coronavirus: Dealing with uncertainty, worry and anxiety compassionately and flexibly
Understanding your anxiety
It is a challenging time. We are in the midst of a global pandemic, with towns and even whole countries being placed on lock-down. Some of us already live in areas where coronavirus has spread. Others are preparing for what might come next. When we read the news, we can think to ourselves, "What will happen next?". We do not know exactly how we are going to be affected or how bad things might get. These uncertainties can lead to catastrophisation, leaving us vulnerable to states of fear and dread. However, there are simple techniques you can implement to ease your anxiety and fears–particularly in the face of this unprecedented crisis.
•Stay informed—but don't obsessively check the news or social media for updates.
Staying informed, particularly about what's happening in your area, is essential as you can take advised safety precautions and do your part to slow down the virus spreading. But there is a lot of misinformation going around, as well as sensational reporting which only feeds on fear. Therefore it is critical that you are careful about what information you are reading and television programmes you are watching, to protect your mental well-being.
• Restrict the number of times you refresh your news feed. Constant tracking of the news and updates on social media can become compulsive and counterproductive— only fueling your anxiety. The limit for everyone is different, so keep an eye on how you feel and adjust your screen time accordingly.
• When you start feeling low, move away from the media. If anxiety is an ongoing problem, consider restricting your television exposure to a limited time frame and daytime (e.g., half an hour at 6 pm each evening).
• Ask someone to share important updates with you. If you feel better off totally avoiding all forms of media, ask someone you trust to pass on any growing developments that you need to know.
• Be mindful what you share. Do your best to verify the information you read before
posting it. We all need to do our part to avoid spreading rumours and creating unnecessary fear and panic.
Focus on what is within your control
We live in a moment of great upheaval. There are so many things beyond our control, including how long the pandemic will last, how other people will behave, and what will happen within our communities. With all these uncertainties at hand, many of us are coping by endlessly searching the internet for updates and worrying about what might happen in the future. If we continuously place focus on issues outside of our personal control we will wind up feeling exhausted, nervous, anxious and frustrated.
When you feel caught up in fear of what could happen, try to shift your focus to things that you can control. Here is what you can do to protect yourself and others around you:
·Stay home as much as possible, even if you don’t feel sick.
·Washing your hands frequently (for at least 20 seconds) with soap and water or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
·Avoiding touching your face (particularly your eyes, nose, and mouth).
·Avoid all non-essential travel and shopping.
·Maintain 2 metres of distance between yourself and others.
·Get plenty of rest to boost your immune system.
·Follow all recommendations and updates from health authorities.
Plan for what you can
It's normal to become frightened over your workplace possibly shutting, or someone you love getting sick or having to quarantine yourself. While it can be scary to think about these possibilities. Trying to cultivate an optimistic attitude will help ease at least some of your anxiety.
Here are some tips for planning ahead:
• Write down a list of concerns about how coronavirus can interfere with your life. If you become too stressed while writing, pause and come back to the exercise when you feel stronger.
• Begin to problem solve and create possible solutions for issues that may arise. Make a list of all the supports that will help you cope should something negative happen and beside that create a list of possible solutions to certain problems. Try not to get too stuck on “what if” possibilities. Log everything that comes to mind that could help you get by!
•After you’ve evaluated your options, create a plan of action. Then, set it aside and resist the urge to go back to it until you need it or your circumstances change.
Practising self-care
If you feel overwhelmed by all of this, be assured this is a very natural response given all that is happening in the world right now. It's necessary, though, to be kind to yourself and take time out for self-care. Here is a list of ten self-care activities you can do from home. They will make you feel a little better during this very difficult period, and give you a sense of control.
1. Play music that boosts your mood. Log onto Spotify and create a playlist that has all your favourite songs. You could make a group playlist and get your friends to add their favourite songs as well. If you want to get fancy, you could make several playlists for different moods/vibes (e.g. sunny day, feeling joyful, etc.).
2. Be kind to yourself. Practice self compassion if you’re experiencing more stress than usual. Remember that you not alone in your struggles, we are all in this together.
3. Maintain a routine as best as you can. Try keeping to your daily routine for sleeping, working and eating. That can help you retain a sense of normalcy, which will increase your mental well-being.
4. Find fun ways to exercise: Staying active can help reduce anxiety, alleviate tension and improve your mood. There are many many activities you can do indoors, including yoga, dance and HITT workouts that will increase your physical well-being.
5. Cultivate a relaxation practice. At times like these, our nervous systems can be thrown out of balance due to increased stress. Therefore, calming methods such as deep breathing, meditation and yoga can help get you back into a state of equilibrium. A little goes a long way, even puasing for a moment while reading this and taking 3 deep breaths can significantly boost well-being. So start small, build your mindfulness practice up and notice array of benefits!
6. Be kind to others. There is no link between this infectious disease and any racial or ethnic group, so speak up if you hear negative stereotypes which only perpetuate prejudice. With the right mindset and actions, we can all ensure that compassion and generosity spreads much faster than this virus in our societies.
7. Learn something new. Do you want to learn to paint watercolour landscapes or play a musical instrument? Now is a perfect time to get going. If you want to learn a new language, Duolingo is an awesome free language learning program you can access from your computer or phone. YouTube has fantastic free tutorials for pretty much everything online! Go and explore!
8. Connect with friends online. Even if an in-person meet-up is off the table, try to stay in touch with your friends via text, WhatsApp, Messenger, FaceTime, or a good old-fashioned phone call!
9. Make a home-cooked meal. Good nutrition is essential and there is nothing better than a delicious, healthy home-cooked meal during stressful times- particularly if you've cooked it yourself! Ask family and friends for their favourite recipes or check out your favourite chef’s free recipes online to get inspired!
10. Watch or read something uplifting. In moments like this, a little distraction can be a positive thing. Watch something you consider to be uplifting, to help detach yourself from what's happening in the world. YouTube has a great selection of feel-good videos. If you're more interested in reading, go to your bookshelf and pick an old favourite or complete that book you never got to finish! If you don't have physical books, e-books and apps like audible are a great choice.
If it’s all getting a bit much…
You can still feel overwhelmed, even if you’ve been practising self-care. As most people will be physically distancing or self-isolating, a great way to reach out is through telephone helplines and online services. Here's a list of some services that can help:

Demise!Izuku as a Youtuber?
Yep! You heard me right. Demise server is a strange little land, full of strange little ideas, unfortunitely this one idea in particular wasn’t so little. So without further ado here’s all the shit we came up with in the server in regards to izuku as a youtuber within demise!au:
If Izuku was a YouTuber can you imagine the fucking chaos dumpster fire his channel would be
He's be like an edgy twink Jenna marbles(edited)
Doing Me time every damn day
bandit is jennas dogs
tenya is julien
He'd have weird ass videos like dipping bandits feet in red pet dye then putting a sign on him that says "you pet and you'll meet the last person who dared to"(edited)
And he's also make videos about him breaking into UA and interrupting classes and stuff
"hey gamers, today we're breaking into UA to see my boyfriend and read all of my friend's secret files"
And a video just of him filing Aizawa in weird places and at the end putting him on an inflatable mattress and watching him float away
He wakes up in Canada
They don't know how or why
He just attaches a go-pro to trash bandit and let's him run wild. He probably has a seriesJust letting him loose in weird places
DONT LET TRASH BANDIT EAT AIZAWA'S SLEEPING BAG AT 3AM | VERY SCARY"hey guys so today ill be doing the 'How many bottles of quil can i steal before i get caught by Tsukabitch' challange. feel free to make a video of your own!"
He probably dyes Bandit according to holidays and puts him as the profile picture. The kicker is, he only does it for holidays that his country doesn't celebrate
Like 4th of july
And Canada day
"Hewo soulless fuckers it is me your overlord, King of the soulless fuckers. Today I'll be going up to people in the streets and telling them that I killed God and Satan. But y'all know me, that's not enough. So I'll be asking them which one I killed first and if they get it wrong I take a shot of quil. The quil I'll be taking is the plain ol kind so don't worry your little marshmallow heads about it."
He only makes text posts in OwO speak this just makes me realise demise!izuku would make a great youtuber
He would twitch stream all the time doing the weirdest shit for hours on end
"what is up gamews! today i wiww be weviewing the new game cawwed life! i have been pwaying it fow about 16 yeaws now and i have to say it's pwetty bad my guys!"
I feel like he'd be absurdly popular and whenever someone mentions him and they look up the channel they are like "wth have I stumbled upon?!"
I'm just imagining what his front page would look like
The seasonal trash bandit profile picture, the banner would be a flaming hellscape with people he dislikes burning and trash bandit looming on low opacity in the background
(He made it so that only people who view it on TV get the full experience.)
He probably has his own segment on buzzfeed unsolved
Not talking
Its about him
The intro video would just be him staring into the camera while mixing together a horrible concoction of quil then downing it without breaking eye contact(edited)
His about section is written in 3 different types of code and it's all in owo if you manage to crack it
i love demise|!izuku as a youtube cryptid
Clown Speak and OwO speak mixed together
I feel like in the beginning Izuku was this obscure YouTuber that you only find out about if someone in the know tells you about it until a bigger YouTuber found him out on a deep dive video and just couldn't stop watching yes
i imagine once he gets big people from react channel would invite him to react to videos of people reacting to his videos
What if in one of his videos he started acting like his old self just to freak everyone out. He didn't say anything about it instead he talked about hero analysis with a bright smile and trail off into muttering a few times only to blush when he realized it. He have his hair in a ponytail with only bangs framing his face and some messy pieces falling out. Also her be wearing something plain but like old Izuku, maybe hero merch or something. The comment section was just people flipping out and shit
He never acknowledges the video after he made it
No matter how many comments he gets he acts like it doesn't exist
omg you know wha tthat would actually allign with the demise and canon swap places for a da
yand you know what that gives me a lot of feels
the millions of subscribers get to see the old izuku
Maybe after a milestone he would post a video he made in middle school of him analyzing a quirk in video format to make sure it wouldn't get destroyed
And he put a couple videos of younger him after it
But it starts being supporting Izuku
And his present and past self and stuff
PEOPLE MAKE FAN ART first Its all full of trash and memes
What if that picture of canon Izuku meeting demise Izuku was a fan art someone made of his old self meeting the new him
Kids from his class kinda Piecing together they really screwed up?Some even sending in apologies, perhaps
For mental health day I could see him posting a serious video about what he went through and his time in the mental hospital
And on national stop bullying day he would talk about his decade of abuse including the details of how the school and teachers fucked up and everything aboutbakugou
izuku using youtrube for shitposting and advocating
And for mothers day he features both Rei and Inko?
Endeavor exposure video
What if Rei helped edit or something? To help pass the time for her
Give her something to do
People love the mysterious editor
I feel like villains watch his content like maybe Dabi
rei and fuyumi sometimes make appearances
Dabi just shows up in the videos
Quickly become faves
I feel like Dabi would become a fan and start crying after seeing his mom happy in one of Izuku's videos
"...and this is rei, my hospital mom and this if fuyumi, her daughter so like my sister she helps me keep my shit together and sometimes gives me quil.."
dabi crying from seeing his mom happy in some lunatic's youtube videos
“...and this is shin, dont let the looks deceive you this man went to jail"
Shin comes in and covers the cameras a lot
FATHERS DAY IS A PICTURE OF TRASH BANDIT WITH HIS DADS VOICE SCRAMBLED OVER IT
“and this is the local florida woman and her alligator
WHAT IF BNHA VERSE HAD QUIRKLESS AWARENESS WEEKizuku would go ape shit during that week
"who needs a quirk when my dad gave me a gun!"
He would give axe sharpening tips
"Remember kids! Society won't help you, so you gotta help yourself!"
he would make 'how to cook videos' except it would only be quil combos
What if one day he just put quil in the ovenand pulled out a muffin
Remeber, don't try this at home kids." makes A horrifying quil combo "rememer never ever do this even if you have a quirk that allows it." downs the horror concoction
"so today were gonna do my boyriend does my makeup challange and since both me and tenya are dumb and know nothing i borrowed my mums makeup..."
It’s a given he’s gonna do makeup tutorials. The real question is would they be good or absolutely horrendous?
good or horrendous? Both
Amazing makeup at horrendous things? Hmmm interesting
“Hey guys today I’m turning myself into a real like eldrich abomination with the help of eyeliner and glitter!”
izuku has a whole playlist of videos dedicated to tenya and UA
theyre all jsut shitposty compilations of some footage when tenya isnt looking
Even tho it looks like he couldn't give a fuck he is very selective with which footage makes it online. He's very careful at how much is revealed and makes sure no students or secret identities would be in danger with his content
izuku isnt stupid...hes jsut having a good time
Sneaking into UA highschool by hiding in pro hero eraserhead's sleeping bag | NOT CLICKBAIT
Izuku would totally play carefree and childish games while just being Izuku
Like his animal crossing series
Fucking legendary on his channel in terms of gaming
izuku's sims lets play
it's like a 10 generation long telenovela lowkey based off the todoroki family
He has no straight sims, he recreated UA and class 1a in sims
the wedding of sim izuku and sim tenya is like the biggest party in the sim neighbourhood
He creates endeavor just to lock him in a room with 50 ovens
Omg his draw my life has got to be super depressing
He'd be super blunt and monotone during his whole draw my life going through all of the abuse and bullying that he went through because of his quirklessness and also his suicide attempt and all that jazz(edited)
izuku would paint on a potato
Izuku would make a get ready with me where he does something totally batshit crazy then ends it with "Ah. Yet another day in my life."
Izuku meets Marie Kondo
“Only keep what brings you joy”
“Well this gun from my father sure brings me joy”
Knifemaking videos but with axes
Izuku decided to do a wardrobe tour and like 4 things were bloodstained which he never addressed. The most popular comment was what happened, which of course he never answered.
Izuku does these new year (like all of the questions from last year) or milestone Q+A’s/AMA's which are basically people just asking a bunch of the things he wouldn't answer or address before. A lot of his viewers write down and timestamp when he does something and doesn't address it. If you don't you'll never hear an answer.
He has his boonk gang phrase which is probably like Bandit gang or some shit like that, which he shouts while breaking into places. UA dorm rooms, UA facility office, UA, Hero Agency’s, Endeavour's bedroom (Don't ask), etc.
He has a variety of videos where he does things from different communities. For example he has a few hair tutorial and following hair tutorial videos. Same for makeup.I feel like Izuku would also have some dresses and slutty Halloween costumes that be put on in a video all while looking like someone who just had finals and was studying for 4 days straight beforehand.
At like 4AM a thought hit Izuku to have Trash Bandit meet Kouta for the first time and learn what his sheep talks about and what he has to say. Needless to say he took his camera, went to UA, stormed the dorms, went up to the shy kid sheep in hand, looked him dead in the eye, and asked “What is my sheep saying.” bandit speaks and Kouta goes from confused and slightly scared to disgusted and horrified. What did Bandit say? Who the fuck knows…
Izuku loves analysis and while he doesn't do it for heroes anymore when he misses it too much sometimes he does it with tv shows or other things.
Idk what yet but Izuku is weirdly good at something and only showed it on camera once. (He's casually known to be a good artist) Whatever he's good at he did it once for a video and it's in one of the most popular compilation videos of him. 15 minutes of Izuku being a cinnamon roll.
Izuku has a shit ton of videos featuring the UA kids. He has some playlists dedicated to certain ones even if all you see is the back of their head.
Any proceeds Izuku manages to get (he is popular but he gets demonetized a lot) goes to different charities for the quirkless.
He made only 1 serious cooking video on his birthday, but instead of using a knife he used an axe.
He has a video called “My sharp things (tour)” where he just shows off all of his knives and axes and shit along with a massive pair of scissors he got Momo to make.
Izuku makes videos of himself destroying endeavor merch while staring at the camera.

⥼ Positive Traits: Warm, perceptive, playful ⥼ Negative Traits: Blunt, resentful, opinionated If you were to ask someone what Sunwoo’s most remarkable characteristic is, they would most likely mention how he treats everyone he meets like they’re an old friend. To some, that can be comforting, his easy smiles and laughs providing them a sense of security and acceptance. To others, that can be irritating: a stranger acting much too presumptuous and all too familiar for comfort. While Sunwoo does his best to be tactful and mindful of others, it’s undeniable that his personality doesn’t always mesh well with others. Sunwoo is not afraid to speak his mind whenever he finds it appropriate and necessary. He highly values improvement for himself and his loved ones. As such, he is the first to call out his friends on their bullshit, in the most loving way possible of course, seeing it as an opportunity for growth. Though he tries to choose his words as carefully as possible and his intentions are never ill, he can sometimes come off as a overly blunt, and in worst case scenarios, harsh. In that same vein, Sunwoo never hesitates in building people up and often goes out of his way to compliment them, whether that be on their work or even on their looks, gaining him the reputation of a bit of a flirt. This is completely unintentional, as he’s not exactly aware of the way he holds eye contact with people a little longer than average, or the way his genuine tone of voice can slip into something more suggestive. He gets pretty offended if you accuse him of being a flirt and doesn’t really understand why he’s seen that way. He is an extremely genuine person, despite how he may come off. He always says what he means and hopes that other people will do the same for him. Consequently, he greatly dislikes people who are passive aggressive, finding it a waste of everyone’s time to fish out exactly what they mean.
Childhood
Sunwoo was born two years after his older brother, Shinwoo. His parents both worked at well known companies and earned good money, affording them an upper middle class lifestyle, but as a result were rarely ever home. Sunwoo did his best not to take their money for granted, understanding even at a young age just how much they had to break their backs to earn it.
Adolescence
His older brother excelled in school, earning straight A’s and getting into the first college of his choice. Sunwoo, on the other hand, was just a little above average and often felt overshadowed by his brother’s performance. This subsconsciously affected his work ethic. There would be times, for example, when he would just give up studying for an exam because he knew he wouldn’t be able to achieve the grade he wanted—that is, one that was comparable to his brother’s. Once he was old enough, Sunwoo got a job at local convenience store so he could earn his own spending money without bothering his parents. There, he regained some of his confidence and came to realize that his strengths lay outside of a rigorous school system. Still, he completed high school and decided to go to college, majoring in Business.
Tokkitchen
Sick of eating instant ramyeon for the fifth time that week, Sunwoo put aside his textbook and decided to look up simple dishes to cook. He fell into the metaphorical rabbit hole and found himself watching cooking videos for a few hours, landing on a few recipes that seemed simple enough to try. The next day, he went out to buy the necessary groceries and began cooking. His dish was… okay. It wasn’t completely awful, but it wasn’t spectacular either. Strangely enough, he wasn’t discouraged and vowed to try again the next day since he had leftover ingredients. The next day came, and this time the dish was light years better than before. Pleased with the results, Sunwoo continued to watch cooking videos online and improved his skills little by little. When he was able to perfect a pasta recipe, he invited his friends over to his apartment so that he could cook dinner for them—they would be his “first set of guinea pigs” as he put it. They were goofing around, and one of his friends took out their phone to record Sunwoo cooking. He began mimicking the narrative style of the numerous videos he watched, explaining what he was doing in an exaggerated soothing tone. It was one of the most fun nights he’s ever had. His friend sent him the video a few days later. Sunwoo watched it, cringing at the sound of his voice, but recalled how much fun he had filming it. He immediately began searching his college’s website for rentable video equipment, determined to make a cooking video, but for real this time. After transferring and editing his very first video—"gourmet" meals using convenience store ingredients—onto his bulky, old laptop, he uploaded it to the internet under the username Tokkitchen, a reference to his apparently notorious resemblance to a rabbit. This was mostly for safekeeping—he knew his laptop was on its last legs and he only had so much hard drive space after all—but he also secretly hoped that maybe he would be able to capture a small audience. Sunwoo enjoyed making these videos so much that he went as far as changing his major to Film (his college did not offer a Culinary Arts major.) His technique and style improved significantly, and his viewer count steadily grew. It wasn’t nearly enough to justify doing it full time though, so after he graduated, he began the dreaded job search.
Present
After a year and a half of uploading videos, and just a month into the job search, Tokkitchen was suddenly an overnight success thanks to a video he had certainly not expected to be his claim to fame. It was one of his more casual videos: a half vlog, half cooking tutorial of caramel flan. Commenters seemed particularly delighted by his inclusion of footage of his three failed attempts at not burning the caramel and the resulting existential breakdown he had following them. He continued this model for his next video, and the next video, and the next video, and his channel views continued to grow exponentially. He has been praised by viewers for his down to earth personality and warm, atmospheric style.

Tips to Boost Your Immune System

I can’t believe that six weeks have passed since we closed the doors at Ash Hill Natural Health Centre. I am really missing my work and my patients and seeing as I can’t treat my patients currently, I thought I’d collate all the helpful hints and tips that I’ve been accumulating and pass them on.. It is important to say that I can’t stop getting you a cough, cold or Coronavirus. What I can do is help you to strengthen your immune system so that your body can effectively fight off any infection.
Ways to stay healthy during lockdown:
The best foundation for your immune system is good diet, plenty of fluids, exercise moderately, get outside in the sun and make sure you get enough good quality sleep. Avoid phlegm forming foods such as sugar, dairy, white wheat flour, refined starch and highly processed foods, excessive amounts of fruit (too much sugar).
Stress has a depleting effect on our energy and immune system, so if you are finding this time of isolation very difficult, have a think about doing things that help relax and ground you, whether that is mediation, exercise, something artistic, reading a good book – whatever floats your boat! If you would like to take up meditation, now is a great time and there are plenty of apps and online guides to get you started. I’m happy to recommend some if you would like, just drop me a line and I will do my best to help.
Incorporate plenty of fresh garlic, onion and fresh ginger into your diet.
It is now commonly acknowledged that the basis of a healthy immune system starts with good gut health and the promotion of the healthy gut flora. You can enhance this by avoiding the damp and phlegm forming foods mentioned above, and by eating food naturally rich in pro-biotics such as kefir, homemade sauerkraut (shop bought has been pasteurised which will have killed off all the goodness), kimchi, sourdough, almonds. There are plenty of recipes online for these foods, but if you prefer you could just invest in a good quality probiotic supplement.
You can also try liquorice in moderation – too much can give you loose stools! However, if you suffer from high blood pressure, you should avoid liquorice.
Colloidal Silver is another good way to boost your immune system. It is a natural ancient way to treat viral, bacterial and fungus infections. You can buy it as a liquid and put drops into water.
If you are feeling healthy and well it may be a good time to stock up the freezer with some homemade chicken stock. If you do get ill, you are going to need some nutritious foods to help you recover, and a soup or stew made with the stock is ideal. Ask your butcher for some chicken carcasses or use one left over from a roast dinner. Add the bones only to a large pan with a quartered onion, some roughly chopped carrots, celery, half a bulb of garlic (no need to peel, just flatten with a knife), a few bay leaves, black peppercorns and a dash of salt. You can add fresh herbs if you have them, such as rosemary, thyme and parsley. Cover with water and bring to the boil. Skim off any fat or scummy bits floating on the top and then simmer gently for 3 or 4 hours, skimming off if necessary. Sieve the liquid and let it cool before putting it into containers for the fridge or freezer.

You can stimulate some acupuncture points daily – percuss or tap Stomach 36 on the leg and then massage Lung 9 on the wrist. Stomach 36 is found four finger widths down from the bottom of your kneecap, along the outer boundary of your shin bone. If you press this point and then flex your foot by bringing your toes up, the muscle will pop out, then you know you are in the right place.
Lung 9 is found at the wrist crease, between a tendon below the thumb, the radial artery and the bone at the base of the hand. If you move your hand up and down, you should feel that you are right in the gap between the bones of the hand and the radius in the forearm. See pictures below but please feel free to email me or call me if you have any trouble locating the points.

Vitamin C, D and Echinacea are all useful well-known supplements for boosting your immune system, but if you have an autoimmune condition or you are taking immune suppressing drugs then you should not take echinacea. Zinc is another mineral that is essential for a healthy immune system. Selenium is important too and this can be found in Brazil nuts.
Ginger and turmeric tea is something I often drink, especially if I feel I may be on the edge of a cold. Simply slice up some fresh ginger and turmeric root (I use about 3 or 4 slices of each) and top up with boiling water. It really is that simple! You can add honey and lemon if you like, especially if your throat is sore. The only time NOT to drink this tea is if you have a temperature. This is because of the heating energies of the ginger – you don’t want to add more heat to a temperature.
Iodine is another natural solution that is anti-viral. There is a very good YouTube video by a GP named Dr Sarah Myhill here which talks about inhaling iodine through a salt pipe. I can’t say I’ve tried it but several of my colleagues swear by it! Dr Myhill also has a great website which is a fabulous font of all health related knowledge here.
There are several herbal remedies that help boost the immune system and my favourite is Astragalus or huáng qi. As well as helping your immune system it is also anti-aging and is an anti-inflammatory. It is safe to take UNLESS you are breastfeeding, you have an auto-immune condition, or you are taking immune-suppressing drugs.
Exercise is important, but too much will deplete your Qi. How about trying some Qi Gong or Tai Chi? You can do it in your living room or your garden if you prefer and you can also do a lot of it seated. It is a fantastic way of getting your blood and Qi flowing, removing obstructions and creating balance and harmony within the body. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube, but I particularly like Peter Deadman’s channel. He is an acupuncturist as well as Qi Gong teacher and wrote several of our core textbooks.

Peter Deadman has posted a really helpful routine [CLICK HERE] for strengthening your lungs, which involves stimulating the lung channel just using your hands, and then using some heavy duty tapping and patting all over the ribcage to stimulate the lungs. These moves are excellent at moving phlegm and if you do happen to get ill, I strongly recommend using these techniques. A colleague who contracted Coronavirus said the percussive ‘thumping’ she gave her chest made an immediate noticeable difference to her breathing and allowed her to expel the phlegm.
I will be putting together a similar post with advice for during and after an infection, to help with the recovery phase, so look out for that in the next few days.
Sending best wishes and good health,
Rachel
