on the other hand, i think that andrew and jean hate the cold. they can't stand it. they need to wear a lot of layers and they only get colder when they see their stupid boyfriends dressed like that. their ears and nose get so red it's adorable actually (don't tell them that they'll kill you). and they are both trying to keep a straight face and look unbothered but don't get too close because those cold hands are a weapon that they are not afraid to use

okay so the first thing u have to understand about hit trilogy all for the game by nora sakavic is that its mostly about asking the question: "what if the yakuza was running a college sports cult in west virginia?"

And you may be thinking: if theyre in america, shouldnt it be the mob? no. other characters are in the mob. yet ANOTHER character is in a british crime firm (can u believe they call them firms in englans i googled this just for this dude). its specifically the yakuza who are running the exy cult.

now i can hear you asking: "exy? what the hell is exy?"

exy is the fictional sport nora invented for the series. around thirty to forty percent of the cast are deeply deeply obsessed with it. like-- risk your life to play on a really good team for three months and then accept your slow painful death obsessed. ans you may say, wow bee thats a reall specific example

THAT IS THE FIRST THING NEIL JOSTON (main character) DOES. well technically first he lets his cigarette burn down to the filter without taking a drag, but right after that the coach of the psu foxes is like "hey wanna play exy" and hes like. no! so kevin day (famous, his mom is 1/2 of invented exy duo, raised in aforementioned college exy yakuza cult by the other half of invented exy duo. UNTIL his dominant (left) hand was mysteriously broken in a ski accident like six months ago and he left to join the foxes.) is like hey. join my exy team. and neil LOOSES HIS MIND because it turns out!!!! his SERIAL KILLER MOB BOSS DAD IS BROS WITH YAKUZA CULT LEADER TETSUJI MORIYAMA AND HE AN KEVIN MET AS KIDS. but kev doesnt recognize him bc hes wearing brown contacts (blue eyes) ans brown hair dye (redhead). hes been on the run from the mob since he was like nine or something. this is all exposition btw this is all fucking backstory the neil bits are from ch 1 and the kev/yakuza cult bits are from later on after neil joins kevins exy team. he said fucking yes. because ANDREW MINYARD CLOTHSELINES HIM WITH A RACKET. like lacrosse exy has rackets and like hockey the players are constantly getting in physical fights.

02 kevin day-- striker (offense) famous person. still recovering from being in that cult forever. plays with his non-dominant hand bc hed kill himself if he stopped playing exy. monster (clique name hes my bbygirl. idk why they have such clear & overt clique names they just all hate each other at the start) (dw neils got that shonen anime protag aura (nosiness) he fixes that)

03 andrew minyard-- goalie (goalie) kevins guard dog lowkey. locked his brother in a bathroom for two weeks to get him sober after killing their mom (they didnt catch him dw). was raised in the foster care system THIS WENT POORLY FOR HIM. love interest 🫶🏻 threatens to kill any girl his brother dates. bc. its complicated he has reasons but like 😭 king hes a monster btw like the clique hes why they call them that

04 matt boyd-- backliner (defense) used to be on heroin but not anymore :) hes neils buddy!! his mom is a rick new york lawyer (plot relevent) upperclassmen

05 aaron minyard-- backliner (defense) MY FUCKINF GUYYYY he hates gay people but hes not homophobic he just hates all the gay people he knows bc theyre dickheads. hes in premed and has a cheerleader gf (also in premed) hes hiding from andrew bc andrew Will kill her. hes andrews idential twin btw. he used to be addicted to heroin but then andrew locked him in the bathroom until he got sober. monster <3

08 nicky hemmick-- backliner (defense) NICKYYYYY hes the twins' gay cousin except andrews also gay nickys just like a harmful stereotype abt it. and i do mean that for book 1 hes like weirdly hypersexual and pushy abt being into neil. but my theory is this was a 24-7 bit he was doing to piss seth off bc he knocks it off after seth dies. still a harmful stereotype but whatevr. he has a bf in germany that hes like in LOVE with. he moved back to the states to be the twins guardian after andrew killed their mom but theyre both assholes and dickheads 😭 hes goin through it. his dads like evil evil both his parents are homophobic but his dad like. gets andrew raped in book two (? i think? mightve been 3 i think it was 2 tho) its BAD. hes a monster w his lil guysss

- neil goes on a talk show, riko moriyama (yakuza cult jesus, used to keep kev as a pet) is there. neil calls him a little bitch to his face on live tv. riko uses his fingerprints on the cup he was using to figure out that serial killer dad situation.

BUT on tumblr noras posted (oh btw nora who wrote these books is active on tumblr its crazy) a oneshot basically (??) from renees pov of this and its GREAT she has to drag him out kicking and screaming but HES OUT OF THE CULT YIPPEE he crashes on the foxes' nurse's couch the rest of the book.

so now the ravens, minus their beat striker (kev) minus their beat backliner (jean) are up against the foxes at their all time strongest

this seems like a great time to tell u have kevin broke his hand. it was NOT a skii accident. everyone found out hes a better striker than riko and riko BROKE HIS HAND about it. so.

also also i totally forgot to mention this but the reason neil stops wearing his contacts is bc andrew nicky aaron and kev take him to the club for the first time and theyre like you are NOT wearing brown contacts to the gay club we (aaron andrew nicky) worked at in hs :/ u have to look HOT also while theyre there andrew gets nicky to drug neil so neil pays a bouncer to knock him out and then when he wakes up in their house the next morning he jumps out their bathroom window and hitchhikes & walks 71 MILES back to campus. he ends up going to the club with them like every other week btw

your nuanced take on nicky is SO real especially the part where you pointed out that neil literally feels 1000x more violated by getting drugged (by his literally future life partner so clearly people grow and change !!!) than he does by getting kissed nonconsentually. obviously it makes him uncomfortable but he moves on because it’s like that wasn’t triggering for him it was just a bit gross. as long as that doesn’t happen we keep it pushing. on the other hand being forced into losing control and being unaware of his surroundings (the very thing that has kept him alive all these years) is a million times more triggering to someone like neil but everyone likes the sweep the harm from that under the rug. just because neil eventually understands why (disturbingly understanding guy tbh) doesn’t mean it didn’t affect him at the time. i think people kind of latch on to the fact that andrew drugged him but didn’t like do anything to him while he was vulnerable but that’s only bc neil got himself out of there. sure we know andrew would never sexually assault someone but who knows what he might have done if he had his way that night. i read this fic once where it’s neil’s 3rd or 4th year so his life is well established and then he gets in an accident and gets retrograde amnesia back to the night of the drugging and the fallout is crazy. bc all of the sudden he’s right back in that headspace of like if he distrusts one mf in the entire world it’s andrew. and for good reason! and also this is not andrew hate at all he’s my fucked up little guy but we do have to get real here ppl

okay responding under the cut yayyy i love talking about columbia its my favorite chapter in the first book. sorry for writing you a whole essay btw. also obligatory disclaimer that im not saying u have to like nicky / cant be uncomfortable with him and his actions / that sexual assault is okay / etc

i am once again. bringing up academic work. bcus i am in a crit sexualities class rn and its rlly interesting #mynerdinterests. i've actually already brought up gayle rubin's thinking sex when talking about andrew and jean's treatment in the fandom. and i WILL be doing it again bcus even tho the article is super controversial (and i definitely do not agree with everything rubin says) she gives us some really good vocab surrounding the innate beliefs / values that get drilled into us by american society. she brings up this idea called "the fallacy of the misplaced scale" which is basically that we give sex and sex acts an excess of significance, and that any sort of sexual sin is especially heinous or morally reprehensible.

this general idea is why i think people tend to feel fine with physical violations within media (for example neil getting drugged by andrew) but react more aggressively to any kind of sexual transgression (like nicky assaulting neil). both of these actions are Bad. andrew is taking away neil's ability to protect himself, drugging him against his will, and forcing him into an extremely vulnerable state. nicky is also giving neil drugs (on andrew's orders) with the addition of nonconsensually kissing him to do it. but people focus more heavily on that rather than andrew's actions bcus as you said "he didnt actually do anything" and bcus sexual acts are always elevated above others. i would argue this is also why you see people treat jean's trauma more seriously than kevin's. or why people will write neil getting sexually assaulted in the nest rather than just tortured for the extra angst. it adds an extra level of "seriousness" or "importance" to the violation that's occurred.

i also think one of the reasons people ignore the consequences around andrew drugging neil (or even nix it all together in their rewrites) is because andrew IS the love interest so we obviously get much closer and a much deeper look into his character and motivations than nicky. we also get neil's reactions to them which most people would probably consider abnormal, since he doesn't really care about the kissing and remains friendly with nicky p much immediately after (tho he DOES get rlly uncomfortable about the bed sharing. which i personally think is worse than the kissing by nicky) but he does hate andrew and heavily distrust him post drugging ("dont sleep ill kill you", checking the glass when he goes to eden's next). like even when he's like "wow andrew could hold my truth without flinching yada yada" he's still lowkey hating him for it, before it becomes water under the bridge due to neil's ability to let things go (this is a hashtag certified mary hatfordism. its definitely bcus of his time on the run). anyway wow i just wrote you a bonafide essay. sorry this got off track but i love complex relationships and emotions and sexual situations. and also i love andrew nicky and neil literally my top 3 aftg characters. anyway im saying all this in good faith hope you enjoy anon.

Genre: Angst

Warnings: Death, Blood and funeral

Summary: Chris and his wife went on a mission a few months after Piers’ death but his was shot and killed by the enemy trying to protect Chris and the team

*bonus* Funeral (it does get kinda triggering so if you get triggered by funeral talk, skip that)

Chris, His wife and new men from the BSAA were on a mission again but this time in America, everything was going smoothly

All they had to do was take out the enemy, get the three hostages to safety and deactivate the bomb placed in the building they were in

“Boys listen” Y/N said, for someone who was 5’0, 147lb and currently the youngest on that team at 28 she was very intimidating to the men on that team, even Chris was intimidated by her — She’s his wife!

She was also the new captain of the team since Chris decided it wasn’t for him anymore — So he chose his replacement to be his wife

Not just because they were married. She had talent, she was tough and was hard on everyone and anyone when she had to be

“We will split into teams of three, one team is in charge of getting the hostages; the other are in charge of deactivating the bomb and my team will take care of the enemies. Corey, John and Andrew, you’re in charge of finding the bomb and deactivating it”

“Yes ma’am!” The three men said in unison before leaving to find out the bomb

“Phil, Jean and Mark, you’re In charge of finding and taking the hostages to safety”

“Ma’am!” The three said before doing their job

“Chris and Eric you’re with me” Y/N said as she turned to walk out the door, Chris watched her and was amazed by how amazing she was doing

“Is she always like this, Chris?”

“Only when she has to be” he smirked as he followed behind his wife and he was thinking about a lot of different things at once, his time as captain, his former men, Piers

He hadn’t realised he was already at the door of the room the enemies were in until he was tapped on the shoulder by a smaller hand

“You okay?” Y/N asked as she looked at Chris, an obvious worried expression on her face since he was zoning out

“What? Oh yeah. I’m fine... Sorry” Chris said as he looked at the door and let a sigh escape his lips as he backed up and kicked open the door, gun fire already heading towards them

Luckily the three hid in time before firing back, for about what felt like forever the three came from wherever they were hiding from and let out a sigh thinking they had got everyone

“Good job b— Chris!” Y/N called out as she had saw one remaining enemy stand up from behind a counter pointing a gun towards Chris

Out of instinct she ran towards Chris and pushing him out the way not even thinking about herself and that was the moment she was hit in the sternum, shockingly they had a powerful gun that can puncture anything

Everything was still processing in Chris’ head right now, trying to catch his kind up, Eric used his last bullet to shoot the last enemy before running over to catch Y/N

Chris knew exactly where she was coming from she she said that, he wanted to protect the world too but it was one thing if he was the one to die doing it, but his wife? He’d hate to see her die or get injured on the job

“Plus... ever since my parents died in Raccoon city I promised them I’d do something to help the world and stop all of this from happening again when I got older. Well I’m older”

Honestly, when she brought up her parents he couldn’t argue with her anymore... He knows what it’s like to lose both parents

“I get it... I’m not going to stop you.. I hate thinking about you getting hurt but your parents would want that for you..”

Chris ran to his wife and he felt his eyes water, the tears flooding his eyes as he stared at her

“No... Please stay with me! Don’t leave me goddamnit!” Chris refused to believe she was dying, he didn’t want to believe it

“Chris... Please” She reached inside of her pocket to grab her wedding ring, she never wore it on missions so she didn’t lose it, grabbing his hand she placed the ring inside

“I’m gonna see my parents again, Chris... Isn’t that good?”

“No no no no, Y/N please!! Don’t you die on me!”

“I love you, Chris...” His heart went numb the moment he felt her hand go heavy and almost fell out his but he held onto it

“Please don’t go! This isn’t funny anymore, fucking please don’t leave me alone!!” He knew she was dead... He knew he just didn’t wanna believe it, he wanted to believe she was pulling a fucked up prank on him and got up like nothing happened, he wanted her to sit up and say ‘sike motherfucker’. He wanted that more than anything right now

When she didn’t do that he hugged her body, not caring about the blood getting all over them and he just cried as he held her, he felt responsible for her death, if only he was paying attention he wouldn’t have lost the love of his life...

The day of the funeral, Chris looked horrible. He couldn’t sleep since that day and the house was a mess, Claire stayed with him to make sure he didn’t start drinking again to get rid of the pain

“Chris? You getting ready?” Claire asked as she was already dressed, opening the door to what used to be shared by two people

He sat on the bed looking at a picture of his wife on his phone, he had put her ring on a necklace he always wore

“Yeah... I’m ready” he said as he stood up to walk out with his sister, his hair was slicked back and he had a nice black suit on, Claire had on a black dress

After about a 30 minute drive they arrived and Chris didn’t wanna leave the car but Claire dragged him out

First his partner now his wife... He regrets even letting her join the BSAA and if he could change the roles and take the bullet for her, he would in a fucking heart beat

After about two hours, the ceremony happened, everyone close to her gave their speeches and the viewing it they lowered the casket and everyone had went inside to eat and talk

“Hey Chris, how are you holding up” Leon said as he went to sit with him and Claire

“I’ll be fine...” was all Chris said as he picked at his food, he was so depressed he barely ate anymore, basically all he did was sleep, workout and do paperwork.

He couldn’t bare handling a gun since in all honesty... he didn’t trust himself around one anymore

“Look... Chris I know you feel like shit and don’t wanna do anything anymore but, she wouldn’t want you picking at your food and not eating.. She’d want you to continue being yourself. She wouldn’t want this.” Leon commented

“....I know... But, I just miss her ya’know... she was my everything and I just feel so empty without her now. We were gonna start a family. I only wanted a family with her and only her”

Leon and Claire didn’t have any words since they didn’t want to say the wrong thing around Chris, the three ate and after eating they headed home

The car ride was silent — The silence was deafening you can hear a pin drop

Leon was right, Y/N wouldn’t wanna see him like this. He didn’t want to disappoint her so the first thing he did when he got home was cleaned up the way she liked it and how she liked cleaning

It was difficult but it was the process to healing...

I get what you mean about letting the readers' mind fill what could've happened at Evermore instead of having Jean detail it all, but i liked that we got to see all that from Jean's POV. Maybe if this were not aftg, i would've liked it your way bc i do find it interesting, but this being the series that it is, i think i would've seen it as the author being lazy or not bold enough to write about Riko's torments. In this particular case (and in my own opinion), the way it was done felt more like Nora's style. When Neil wasn't being secretive, he was quite descriptive with what he had been through (his childhood, evermore, Lola's torture), and i expected she'd do something similar with Jean.

It might also be that i consider TSC like a different series, not exactly part of aftg even though you really can't read TSC without reading the first three books, so i agree with the choice to not rely on Neil's recounts of his stay at Evermore to cover the details of Jean's life there.

Regarding the rate in which all this is revealed, in the original trilogy, both Neil's and Andrew's traumas are revealed slowly because they're both secretive. Eveyone at the Nest knew what they were doing to Jean, so not only is he not used to keeping secrets, he does not feel the need to hide what he went through. And that's only about what was inflicted to him that he knows was wrong, a large part of his abuse he believes is normal behavior in a team, so why wouldn't he talk casually about it?

I think these two ways of revealing a character's past (Neil vs Jean) show two different types of narrators. We also have Jeremy who like Neil leaves crumbs of what his life outside of exy is like, but does not actually delve much into it.

About the pacing, i felt the same way as you do. When i first read TSC, I remember feeling like not much was happening at the beginning, like Jean spent too many chapters recovering in Palmetto and the plot was not going forward, but that was a problem with my own expectations about the book. I had read many Jerejean fanfics that started with Jean arriving in LA, so seeing that in TSC that doesn't happen until like halfway through the book made me anxious about when the "real" plot would begin. On the other hand, the first book of the original trilogy is also mainly introductory, so in my head it makes sense that TSC would also feel like that.

About Cat and Laila... one might consider them as bland, or like they're just the blueprint of a character and i would agree, except in my reread i found some bits that i originally ignored that made me start to wonder and theorize about their pasts. Remains to be seen if im right or if Nora will even touch these tiny seeds she seems to have planted (but knowing her, everything she writes is intentional so i have high hopes).

These are some of my objective and critical opinions btw. The truth is i loved every single word in TSC as well as TGR, im just too involved with these characters and Nora's writing. Nora could've taken Jean's story whichever way she wanted and it's very likely i would've still enjoyed it.

I have some other thoughts about TSC, but they might be considered spoilers so im not going to mention them :)

I'm having fun!! I forgot how much All For The Game with its bonkers plot. I reaaaalllyyy love Jeremy. I love how normal he is. Just a good man who wants to have a good time. I love how gentle he is, and I really enjoy his interactions with Jean.

Here's my problems:

I feel like there is too much information about Jean's past. In every chapter of his, there are like, 10 flashbacks, which personally take me out of the story. We know what Evermore is like because Neil was there, so we don't really need to hear about every punishment Jean received. I think sometimes it's better to let the readers' imagination go wild. And also that I prefer it when characters' trauma is revealed slowly. (think about how long it took Neil to learn what happened to Andrew and how the conversation about the word "please" was so much more impactful than anything else). In the Jeremy's chapters, the dialogue between him and Jean reveal a lot of fucked up things Jean was put through. And I feel like it's actually much more interesting to read because (1) you have a character already analyzing these details, and (2) it's like, really eerie things.

My friend argued that it's like that because Jean is overflowing. This is a good point, but idk if it satisfies me because Idk if being overwhelmed from all this trauma actually looks like that. But I've never been in a cult.

I really don't like how Laila and Cat treat him. I don't like how they constantly ask him about his obvious trauma and force him to heal. But I do kinda like how oblivious he is to just how fucked up what happened to him was.

I feel like the pacing in this book is kinda off because I'm halfway through, and Jean has been with the Trojans for about 2 days. The entire plot so far has been "people forcing Jean to see how fucked up his life had been" and nothing else. it's a fair narrative choice, but idk if I necessarily like it.

I'm still giggling and kicking my feet at some of the interactions between Jean and Jeremy though

(oh and tiny idea: what if Aaron is, rather than Andrew’s twin actually Andrew’ great-great-great-great-great grand-nephew? and also completely mortal? idk what you call it but it’s my self-indulgent au so I get to make canon and Andrew had a sister or some shit because we all know Andrew ain’t the one making babies--ANYWYAS)

OK BUT: the Moriyama’s are a high techy facility like Merrick corp or whatever that bitches company was called except they actually MANAGED to get one of the immortals (T-T my boy Jean) AND figured out how to replicate the shit and they are going to test it on Riko and Kevin but Riko gets jealous so he fucks Kevin up (idk throws him off a building or something) tyring to make him an unreliable test subject. Sorry rat boy, but they decide to test it on Kevin BECAUSE he’s almost dead--it works, he becomes immortal, the others all start catching dreams and he’s losing his shit poor baby

Of course he immediately starts being treated like a lab rat and Riko’s like, idk semi-banished or some shit so Kev’s all alone when Andrew and Neil bust the fuck in and break his ass out

In my head Wymack is like, the Andy of the team but not quite as beaten down? Anyways he’s trying to get his two teams to work together (the upperclassman + Andrew and Neil) but Andrew and Neil prefer to just do their own solo missions. 

And by Andrew and Neil I mean Neil’s chill with the upperclassmen but Andrew ain’t about to trust these bitches with nothing. 

(also in my head: I feel like something must have happened to Neil that was like, Quyin levels of fucked and then Andrew realized “oh fuck tehre are worse things than death” and now he trusts exactly one person and he’s got 1897098796 names)

Anyways there would be some shenaniganary like the fact that Andrew is telling Aaron they’re twins and not the fact taht he’s Aaron’s great-great-great-great-great-great uncle. 

Also I have this cool idea that at some point Aaron and Andrew swap so that when the yam-bitches attack they shoot Aaron (in the leg or something non fatal) which then makes them assume that Andrew isn’t immortal so that later on when he pretends to get captured to like, idk rescue someone, he can play dead and then bounce back like a bad bitch. 

Anyways the whole thing would just be a giant game of keep-away as the Foxes try their damndest to keep Kevin from getting recaptured but Kev’s also a little bitch because bb boy is a scientist and hell BENT on studying himself and the other immortals and will NOT STOP GEEKING out about the fact that he’s surrounded by immortals sadlkfj;alsdjf he just wants to know everything about them--how they grew up what life’s been like, why they regenerate, why they don’t die, why they do sometimes die, why why why--no stop I’ll shut up just don’t put your sock in my mouth again please--

it’s that time of year again! yet another follow up to the foxes as shit i pulled in high school, in first year uni, during my summer job, and in my second year uni

Nicky Hemmick: my ta asked me what i was writing my research paper on and i just shrugged, said “something sexy” and wandered away (it was about sexual control in occupied states)

Neil Josten: fell down a flight of stairs at school because i was rushing. someone who saw was like “oh my god are you okay???” i literally sat up, said “i dont have time for this” and then got up and walked away

Andrew Minyard: was doing donuts in a campus parking lot after a snowstorm and got into an active car chase with a campus police car and won.

Aaron Minyard: was really hopped up on cold meds during a 16 hour shift and my boss looked at me and asked me how i was and i looked her dead in the eyes and said “imma be straight im real fuckin sick my dude”

Allison Reynolds: kept one of my uni’s parking ticket envelopes, put it under my wiper with a note inside that said “give me a ticket, i dare you” because i didnt want to pay for parking (it worked btw)

Renee Walker: saw a physical manifestation of a ghost at work, literally looked at it through squinted eyes for like a minute, said “alright” and then went the fuck back to what i was doing

Matt Boyd: played sims 4 in a lecture because i didnt feel like paying attention.  the prof noticed.  did i stop playing sims? no.  no i did not.

Dan Wilds: looked my professor dead in their eyes and said “im illiterate” when they handed me a book to use as a resource for a paper

Seth Gordon: sneezed in a small lecture and the prof turned to me and said “seriously?”

Wymack: texted one of my profs to ask if we were still going to meet when she was 20 minutes late.  Received a response that simply read “well shit. i’m not making that.”

DBSIDBSID. the kandrew beef is Personal and it’s so funny. i am working on making them get closer it just takes a lot of time bc andrew simply does not like to stick around. he comes to a sort of truce with them at some point, mostly after he and jean have a Talk alone, but he still doesn’t like kevin for a while. there IS side andreil tho…. neil is 26 :3 he comes to visit kevjean in paris for a bit and immediately causes problems. but the problems help them get their shit together so it’s fine! andrew is of course intrigued. most of it happens in the background tho bc they like to disappear together…… but neil actually ends up in foster care and gets adopted by wymack when he’s around 13, which is around the same age andrew is adopted and meets jeremy, so they understand each other still :) they do a lot of sneaking around and do not want their relationship perceived at all vs jeremy knox head of the PDA committee and very happy for his own friend finding love.

the biting…….. jeremy falls somewhere in the middle of the spectrum but he does suffer from the most intense feelings of love anyone has ever felt and will latch on like a dog and not let go sometimes. it really depends on his mood and what they’re doing how hard he bites ^-^ jean almost never complains but kevin always does. as is how they are. and they really both love attacking kevin. sitting there biting at his neck and shoulders and jean in particular likes gnawing on the wrist bone. jeremy is only a few inches shorter than kevin but will not hesitate to push him around….. dreamy sigh. at first he’s very nervous about overstepping Anything around either of them but once he knows that they actually like him he becomes such a menace. it’s his life’s duty to make kevin day, his childhood celebrity crush, a little embarrassed and whiny. both he and jean are soooo happy to tease kevin and kevin complains constantly about being ganged up on. jeremy is actually still IN college too, he turns 23 toward the beginning of the fic (i. hc him as a cancer!) and he and andrew have their fifth year to get through so he’s really just some college kid nibbling on and picking on them and taking over their apartment. trust that jean gets teased too he wouldn’t want anyone left out!

JEANFO….. jean….. my apple strudel….. there is so much i could say about him but it feels hard to do him justice…… he really is so special. he’s a little more healed of course bc he’s 28 and has always had kevin keeping contact with him. kevin got out at 14 so jean was there for 6 years without him and it’s really. it’s not a good time for him. but kevin refuses to lose contact and even sneaks across state lines to see him at 16 when he gets his license (with 14yo neil). jean has always had something to hold onto and live for. so jean is doing okay……. he still struggles and he’s very stubborn so he would rather AVOID things and kevin isn’t the kind of person who’s going to push him to face them (kevin has his own things to avoid) but he gets a good push from jeremy. and he LOVESSSS keremy. it’s one of his greatest joys that the two people he loves most care about each other the way they do. he’s so obsessed with them and so excited to show them off when they get together with friends. he’s really a little bit of a clingy freak :-) ESPECIALLY if he gets drunk. he’s a very needy drunk and if someone doesn’t kiss him (or if he doesn’t get to bite) his whole night is ruined and they certainly can’t have that. he learns quickly he cannot keep up with jeremy Party Boy knox tho. he’s a silly guy <3 sooo bitchy to everyone outside of his boyfriends but tender with them…. they’re trusted with his girlish little heart. i could talk about him for ages but i fear tumblr will cut me off LOL our responses to each other are getting so long like we’re writing letters by candlelight to be sent post-haste…..
