himiko and kirumi is such a rare pair for me that i love, kirumi helping with himikos depression and himiko feeling bad that she does so much for her that she starts doing more things to help lighten kirumi's load but doesnt undermine her as a maid and just goes "oh wow a bunch of mystical elves cleaned the dishes with their magic!" just a lot of gestures of meaning well of just wanting to help that dont also undermine kirumi's role as a maid because himiko understands embracing roles and as a fantasy nerd im sure she's seen a lot of fantasy maids in media and knows how that trope kinda goes. Like maybe getting her a coffee while kirumi's cleaning early in the morning and declaring that she used her mana to make her a top of the notch stamina potion

i could easily see them having tea as himiko develops a fantasy backstory for kirumi and kirumi is pretending to be a bit ambivalent but is actually interested in the darker fantasy twists himiko puts in to appeal to kirumi's goth side and asking questions. i could also see kirumi having a bit of fun playing along because being a dark fantasy maid doesnt undermine her being a maid and her desire to help so she'll just smile and be like "as you wish" as himiko says kirumis going to feed kokichi to a dragon or whatever. Plus having someone engage Himiko's creativity without treating it like some super cute precious thing and instead just, engaging with it more on himikos level i think would be really good at getting himiko to open up

The ship sounds really cute tbh, Himiko would totally encourage Kirumi into the whole larping gig while she worked to make her job less stressful

after the first military announcement for maknae line + nj, i started distancing myself from jm and began to get into another group i used to stan (bc i am weak willed lmao i just always need something to obsess over but admittedly this has helped with softening the blow of jimin leaving, i feel like if he was the only person i stanned rn it would have hurt a lot more) but now i just feel so exhausted bc im noticing some of the same problems within this other fandom that also exist with armys, and ofc that's something to do with shippers lol.

there's this member who i bias in this bg who gets basically almost the same exact treatment as jimin gets from taekookers all because he supposedly threatens the status of the group's most popular ship; he gets accused of being an attention seeker, a bed hopper, of trying to insert himself into the ship, he gets slutshamed and treated like the other woman etc.

ofc this all isn't as big of a thing as it is with jm + taekook simply bc bts' fandom is so so much bigger and bc for the other boygroup, those comments are harder to see if you only speak english (their western fanbase isn't as big as their asian one). despite that, it's just sad to see. i didn't realise how much all the hate towards jimin affected me until i returned to stanning this other group and seeing that same kind of hate being thrown against another person that i love. idrk what the point of this ask is tbh sorry im just tired 😭 stanning these kpop boys shouldn't be this hard lmao

Yeah, but it's true... everyone's the same in all fandoms. There is a certain behavioral pattern in people who are part of fandoms, I mean the ones that are really really involved; and even more so with shippers.

The only other group that I ever liked was one direction, and though my time as a fan was short (like two years), all those things happened as well with larry and their girlfriends. The hate, the conspiracy theories, the "they're sending signals". It was all there.

The difference tho, was that everybody liked larry. It wasn't like the fandom itself hated one of them. It's ironic that BTS are closer friends all with each other than 1Dever was, yet in the 1D fandom there weren't people who hated another member. And the few that existed, they kept quiet mostly, it wasn't a huge thing and they didn't run hate/defamation campaigns against the member they didn't like.

The stans of different members only started fighting each other once they went solo.

Then, last year during November 2022 - January 2023 I watched Big Brother (Argentina) for the first time in my life, and there were a few ships (both straight and gay) that the public liked. The guys from the gay ship both had girlfriends inside the house, like they had sex with them and everything. And I kept seeing the same discourses I see in the fandom lmao. It really was a surreal experience to see people saying the same things the say about celebrities ships, but about real people this time.

I mean, people (shippers) getting angry at their girlfriends, and some even turned to "solo stans" (not with those words) because they thought A was hurting B, so they stopped supporting B. I'm not kidding.

It was even more surreal that the same thing was happening in Big Brother Italy, literally at the same time. They also had two male friends who like, flirted with each other and had a strong friendship and they even kissed too. Though in Italy one of them was actually a gay man out of the closet, and the other had a girlfriend.

It also kind of desensitized me a lot to jikook or BTS ships in general and the skinship. And it also made me realize that there's only so far "cultural lenses" go.. because millions of people were watching the same show everyday, but it was only a few thousands who were like "these two guys are totally gay and in love with each other".

Mind you, they even kissed each other on the mouth and yet nobody (except the shippers) were calling them a couple or saying that it was serious. More than anything because they both already had girlfriends inside of the house.

Well, and this year's season just started this week and I've watched a couple of hours but I'm still not hooked. I'll probably keep watching though because it was really distracting last year, so that'll be my drug of choice lol. There really isn't any other group I like, so I'll settle for watching movies and tv shows and maybe reading.

ever since the start of playing tot, i was already always interested in not just how mc interacts with the boys, but how the boys interact with each other. like, just weeks into playing the game, i made this silly chart of personal hc nxx dynamics and that already involved some nxx guy ships, but hilariously in that chart, i had designated marius and luke as Just Bros

but i did manage to remember that my marluke fever rlly set in tho after one specific tot event: Symphony Of The Night.

which is hilarious to me cuz marius and luke had like, maybe 3 non-investigation interactions in that event, and the only one i can remember exactly was where marius calling luke cuz he was like "hey SUPER HACKER WHO HACKED PAX BEFORE, are you the one hACKING PAX AGAIN???" aND WAIT I FOUND MY SCREENSHOTS OF IT

but in general, it was probably just them interacting as a whole!! i really adore all the tot events since it shows how the boys are with each other in a slightly-less-high-stakes scenario, and it results in entertaining stuff like this which made me see how fertile their dynamics are for fics and hcs focused on them, both platonically and shippy!

marius and luke in particular, after canon crumbs got me hooked on their dynamic, just struck me as so much fun. theyre both kinda prideful in different ways, both prone to being Affectionate Shitheads, and i kinda fell in love with writing them and thinking abt them cuz their dynamic makes the ideas and words just pop up like crazy, for me!! like, genuinely this is a 'problem' i have when writing marluke fic now: sometimes these two dont wanna shut up, their banter and dialog just keeps flowing and then i realize my short oneshot had grown in size HAHAHSDJFH

and then with the flame suitably fanned, i then saw way more super interesting characterization stuffs where they paralleled or contrasted and interesting ways, and the rest was history!!

so in conclusion: tbh i have no idea what started it specifically jhvjhVJHVFDJ but nonetheless, this ship is huge fun to me and i adore it cuz i adore their characters, and ALSO this ship has a special place in my heart now cuz it led me to getting to know other marluke shippers who have become great friends to me :')

Mona Vanderwaal

First impression: well I knew she was the first A before watching the show. In the pilot she seemed fun

Impression now: I adore her, she’s such an amazingly complex character and Janel is so good at playing every layer of her. She can genuinely terrify me or do something actually despicable (making Hanna eat the cupcakes for instance) and then make me feel so much sympathy towards her, and make me root for her in the oddest ways. No matter what she keeps things interesting, I can’t think of a scene or dynamic or story she was a part of that she didn’t elevate. She’s my second favorite character on the show and one of my favorite antagonists in general now.

Favorite moment: adore the s4 finale Monison at the lost woods flashback for many reasons but for fav moment am picking Mona’s careful suggestion that Alison vanish and never return so whoever is after her can not kill her, how expertly she manipulates her and then when Alison is asleep Mona moving over to her A layer next door and putting the Alison doll into the dollhouse. (That episode is terrible but I live for two things in it: the Mona/Monison content and Ezra getting shot)

Idea for a story: post time jump love triangle but instead of the Caleb nonsense Spencer and Mona are together. Build up to a Hanna Spencer Mona polyamerous relationship I don’t have the skills to write it but somebody should

Unpopular opinion: have seen a few different posts about Emison and Vandermarin and discussing whether or not supporting one and not the other is hypocritical + have seen takes from Vandermarin stans who really dislike Emison and some of them support this, personally I ship both of them and think they are both clearly toxic dynamics so I do agree that some of those takes aren’t the most nuanced but at the same time I don’t think there’s any problem with being more comfortable shipping Vandermarin who are noncanon compared to Emison being a canon romance and that makes the troubling aspects more troubling for people, so the unpopular aspect of my opinion since no shipping pro or anti relationship related to either of them is popular/unopopular, is that there are understandable reasons to like Vandermarin more but acting morally superior for liking them but not Emison is annoying/hypocritical, if it’s based on morality and not just what’s more interesting/appealing to you.

Favorite relationship: Hanna and Spencer, Vandermarin is like the love story of the show imo like it just is and then Spona is just so fascinating to me (if we were speaking book wise Spona would definitely be my fav relationship for her but show wise Vandermarin is just so significant but also anything involving Spencer is automatically what catches my interest in a more intense way especially them being my two favorites and my a little bit above everyone else tbh). I do love her dynamics with all the liars and ship her with all of them as she would want. Favorite headcanon: So I have not watched the perfectionists, I would like to say I’ll never watch it but as discussed I am a fan of Mona x Alison as a ship so I can’t say I might not get bored one day and attempt to watch solely for crumbs, but it’s definitely not on my list soon. I do actually like the idea of Mona working at a school and think she would really enjoy it I’d actually love to see her in a Dr. Sullivan like role as a counselor like would she be a great counselor for girls to look to maybe not but it would be wacky and fun and I’d love it for her, I think it would fit a lot better than her residing over a dollhouse of two living people in the s7 finale. I don’t like that as an ending for her after what Charlotte did to her and I dislike the loneliness of it for her since a huge part of her character is wanting connection but reaching for it in ways that can be harmful to herself and others, and her arc should have been about continuing to connect with people in more evolved ways not self-imposed isolation.

Aria Montgomery 

First impression: I thought her pink hair streaks were cute and they reminded me of mine my senior year of high school lol.

Impression now: I love her as a character, as a person she’s a hot mess a sympathetic one at least for me, like literally such a tragic character if you really think about it and tbh I find her very fascinating and entertaining for her messiness. Also while in the show I love her but she isn’t my favorite liar (my #3-5 rankings are kind of flexible rn she’s 4-5 in my feelings since I’m in more of an Emily mood rn / upon reflection on the show overall, the different times I’ve thought about rankings the highest she’s been is 3 lowest is 5 out of 6) in the books that I’ve read so far she’s consistently the char I like most (I love book Spencer but she’s a bit less captivating to me than show Spencer tbh, Troian is just so integral to the way I love her in the show and giving her a lot of layers and while she’s a good char in the books it isn’t the same. Meanwhile book Aria gets to develop outside of her showtp in a way that grabs my interest more, generally I’d say Aria and Hanna’s book-wise characterization is more interesting to me while Spencer and Emily’s are more appealing in the show. But like I’ve only read 6.5 books of 18 so that could change.)

Favorite moment: first one that comes to mind is 7x19 when she’s monologueing to the dead body in the trunk of her car lmao. Also really love her wrecking Ezra’s apartment in s4

Idea for a story: if I had written a follow up to the Arison fic I wrote I was considering writing Aria and Alison being A together it’s my favorite solution for any of the liars being A and I like it better and think it tracks more than only one girl doing it. I also find Aria and Jenna’s relationship really interesting and it’s really under appreciated in the fandom so I would love a story about them. I also briefly considered trying to write Sparia adopting Imogen’s baby after 1x10 aired I didn’t because I didn’t have the time and also I kind of don’t buy that Spencer would want kids idk if I even think Aria would want them if it weren’t for Ezra… but nonetheless I do think someone should write a fix it like that, on principle.

Unpopular opinion: other than me really liking her which is already unpopular, I actually really like her wardrobe design yes the misses in it are really terrible looking and it’s a very extreme game of hit or miss in general but I love it as a wardrobe for her character / how it fits her characterization, like there are so many tv characters who fit that archetype of the weird eccentric girl but where the blandest things ever so I liked that there was creativity here (tie skirt, forks for earrings etc.) and that she actually wore things no one else would, whether they were amazing or terrible. She’s also a very passionate person who oscillates between extremes based on her emotions so I like her style as a reflection of that too.

Favorite relationship: I’ll be really predictable and say Spencer I love Sparia also anything involving Spencer is automatically most interesting to me. Honorable mention to Aria x Alison which is such a fascinating concept to me to the point where I wrote one of like five existing fics about them

Favorite headcanon: obviously her divorce era is the dream, preferably after she gone girls Ezra.

- Yeahh i'd have to agree with Kraken, Free Shipping, and Duck. I think destructathon is a perfect place for bots like them. Although tbh i'd love to see some room in the field for new fan-favorite, not amazing bots. Terrortops might fit into that niche, but they might be able to pull off some nice wins as well! - I honestly don't have much of an opinion on bite force since I didn't really get into BB until WCVI, but it'd be really interesting to see it come back and just get its ass kicked. were you surprised by the spoilers? rinharu's screentime had lessened with each season to the point they hardly spoke in S3 so i had very low expectations so i was surprised the movie turned out to be rinharu-centric but then im worried they'll resolve the issue too quickly and focus on mh since if im honest, the show panders a LOT to that ship when it's not needed since m* is the most popular character on the show

Yeah after S3 my biggest worry was that they'll focus on the secondary characters and plotlines even though the movie was supposed to be about RH making it to the international stage. But when the trailer came out it became clear that's not the case. So i wasn't surprised by the spoilers, no. Though of course the angsty scene surpassed my expectations, i couldn't imagine it to be THAT painful, nor Haru to explode in such a way. After their S3 sort of polite distance (no bickering, no arms on the shoulders) i wasn't expecting it to get that...intimate? with all the "you always mess me up and leave me", grabbing shirts drama. But my biggest shock from the spoilers was probably Rin's decision to give up on free. I'm still in shock, tbh.

Concerning MH, yeah, i totally get you. The unnecessary catering to the shippers irks me so much. I have nothing against the scenes that are justified plot-wise, but ever since S2 it just became too much, those teeth-rotting dragged-out scenes bringing nothing to the plot, while so many really important things were completely skipped. I'm actually so frustrated about that ship, its shippers and what it's done to Free! i could rant about it for pages, maybe someday i'll do it lol just to get it out of my system. Makoto as a character doesn't fascinate me one bit either, and one of the reasons i'm not a fan of S3 is that it centered more on his coaching issues, when what i wanted to see was our main duo making it to the national team, competing, interacting, motivating each other, all that stuff. But even during RH scenes, the focus was mostly on Makoto. And he's just not a protagonist material, sorry Mako.

So yeah, I am a bit worried that after the RH feast of the 1st movie, the 2nd may go that familiar route again, although i'm quite hopeful it won't. First, because the biggest conflict has been established and it is RH mess, tangled with the whole pro career/the reason to swim issue, and it can't be resolved quickly. Second, of course Makoto will be hugely involved but i believe it will all be tied together. Maybe he'll do something smart and wise to help them (and make me believe he's got what it takes to be a pro coach since for now i'm not convinced at all). His inability to reach Haru, mentally or emotionally, in the 1st movie, is gonna be addressed and resolved, of course. So i'm prepared to see a lot of MH, but it's not like they have time to drag it out unnecessarily. Tbh i'm not as much worried that RH will be dealt with too quickly, rather the opposite--that their fallout will be another excuse to keep them apart for the most of the movie, and only in the end give them their one cathartic scene, the familiar pattern actually.

All in all, there are too many characters with their own conflicts to handle, Albert, Kinjo, Azuma, all that intriguing stuff, so hopefully there's just not enough screentime to make up some artificial MH issue to focus on.

you were not a huge fan of the idea of leaving her behind

you had already lost your parents and pietro and even though she wasn’t dead you still wouldn’t be able to see her

but you knew why she did what she did

fast forward a little bit

you find out that tony went missing

and then that wanda and vision are being attacked

so u all fly to scotland to help them

*insert u being a badass and beating the shit out of an alien*

finally reuniting w your sister

there were tears

when you arrived back at the compound it was like a breath of fresh air after so long

it’s a shame you weren’t there under better circumstances

immediately getting upset when you saw the hologram of ross

but then it hit you

you started sobbing

now you had officially lost your whole family

after a little bit you made your way over to what was left of the team

you all kinda stood in silence for a little while, just processing everything that had happened

eventually you all returned to the quinjet and flew back home

for the first two-ish weeks after the snap you just locked yourself in your room and refused to leave

though eventually you did leave your room again, though very reluctantly

after three weeks had passed by carol, who you were quite fascinated by, returned to the compound carrying a spaceship with her

turns out tony was on said ship

you were glad to see him after so long

and now we jump to going to space to beat thanos’ ass (a g a i n)

you had never been to space before so it was quite a new experience

shame it was under such poor circumstances

when you arrived at thanos’ residence you were out for blood

he took your last remaining family and you were not in the mood to let him get away with it

and then you found out the stones were gone

and everything he had done couldn’t or so you thought be reversed

you were already ready to kill thanos before, but especially now that that was revealed

sadly though, thor took the responsibility of killing the titan himself

*5 years later*

you were 23 now

a whole ass adult

you still lived at the compound with natasha, not exactly having anywhere else to go

not like you would’ve left anyways but

nat had become your sort of support system over the last few years

after all, at this point you really only had each other

all of the rest of the remaining team went their separate ways, none of which deciding to stay with the two of you

one day though steve comes by

you were glad to see him, you had missed him a lot since he left

the three of you had a not-so-positive conversation and then out of nowhere scott appears at the front gate

he tells you his insane idea of using the quantum realm to time travel back to before thanos

you were very wary

you didn’t exactly have a lot of knowledge on the quantum realm but you could still tell that it seemed risky

the four of you went to tony’s house to try to convince him

he almost immediately said no

you all tried to convince him but to no avail

so you went to bruce hulk instead

bruce?? hulk?? who tf is he tbh

but anywho

when you saw him you were kinda like ????????

but chose to ignore it

you got him to agree to the time travel thing

and it was ?somewhat? successful

somewhat is pushing it tbh

scott became a baby which wasn’t great

but then tony showed up and fixed it like the genius he is

you helped recruit all the remaining avengers to help w the whole time travel thing

you were going to go back in time and get the stones before thanos could

you went with clint and natasha to vormir

you thought it made the most sense for you to sacrifice yourself

after all you weren’t even positive this whole thing with the stones would work, and you couldn’t risk continuing to live a life without wanda and the rest of the team

they stopped you before you could jump though

when natasha dropped you swore your heart stopped beating

she had been all you had for the past 5 years and then she was just gone

you ended up getting the soul stone but at what cost

you and clint returned to the compound and there was a small ‘memorial’ (for lack of a better word) for natasha

after that tony put all of the stones together into a makeshift gauntlet

after a little bit of deliberation it was decided that bruce would be the one to snap his fingers

which proved to be futile because you were dragged into the fight not long after

you were lying on the ground when all of a sudden you saw orange light surrounding you

you looked up to see portals opening, all your allies who you had thought to be dead stepping out

you saw wanda and you stopped breathing for a moment

you got up as quick as you could

which proved to be difficult due to ur injuries and overall extreme fatigue

you launched yourself at her, bringing her into the tightest hug you could muster

the two of you held onto each other for a moment before you had to return to fighting

fast forward to after thanos and his bitch ass army lost (im sorry i just really dont have the energy to write all that rn)

Look, I'll be honest.....there's definitely a segment of Z's fandom who just wants to see Zendaya date a black man (or maybe even date a woman), or who don't trust white male fandoms that are super popular (because of the typical racism that most woc in these rlshps unfortunately get). I'm just being downright honest about how some fans have felt.

This is precisely why a lot of Z stans were "OKAY" with Jacob (even though he's also white), but not okay with Tom. It's not really about Tom per se, but more so about how many of Z's stans perceived Tom's fans to treat Z for years while they were dating. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I think that's why some fans were happy (and relieved) with Z dating a guy like JE (even despite his shady record🙄) who was a lot less famous than her honestly. It might also be the reason why some of Tom's stans would prefer that he date a woman who's not as popular as Zendaya. Sometimes it might not even be a race thing. Sometimes it's just that SOME of these fandoms that are really huge get super possessive and weird, and some fans don't want to see their faves dating someone from a large fandom because they're afraid they'll get hate/racism/bullying from that person's respective fandom. It's sad, but it's true.

But imo, that's an issue with the fandom, NOT with the two individuals themselves. Instead of hating on the ship, or the two ppl being together (esp when they both really love each other), the disappointment should be focused on the segments of the fandoms who are rude, racist, mean, intolerant, and toxic imo. 🤷🏾‍♀️

SCREAMS I don’t know!!!! I’ve been thinking about this ask since getting it I have genuinely zero clue I love all arcs so much for so many different reasons!!!!! The first that comes to mind when I think about it is the workshop battle arc, because I love Viole with everything I have and the whole arc (plus the build up to it too!!) hurts in the most wonderful way, but then I keep thinking about it and I realize there’s so many character I live for that don’t appear in it - I love the floor of death arc SO MUCH cause for one, there’s nearly all my favorite characters in it, and also because it’s such a good, dynamic arc?? everything that happens is so much fun and interesting?? also Hockney is there, and Urek is there, and Garam is there, and the Hell Train gang is all there, so!! AH and the hell train as a whole is so damn good (the dallar show???? my whole soul rests in there, Khun’s trust in Bam!! the coin flip with rachel!! Bam’s whole everything!!!!!!!! GAH) but my fav part of it has to be the hidden floor?? because!!!!!! it’s perfect from start to end, everyone in it is wonderful, Bam’s growth in it!!! GODS! My favorite scene in the whole webtoon is in the hidden floor arc, it’s how much I love it - THEN THERE’S YAMA and the whole arc there is so so SO good too, and the latest arc!! how good is the latest arc!!!!!

so yeah I can’t pick - art wise I think it goes without saying that SIU’s art has only gotten better, so the closest to the newest update you go the more I like the art.... though, my favorite Bam is still the short haired one from the Hell Train arc haha
