himiko and kirumi is such a rare pair for me that i love, kirumi helping with himikos depression and himiko feeling bad that she does so much for her that she starts doing more things to help lighten kirumi's load but doesnt undermine her as a maid and just goes "oh wow a bunch of mystical elves cleaned the dishes with their magic!" just a lot of gestures of meaning well of just wanting to help that dont also undermine kirumi's role as a maid because himiko understands embracing roles and as a fantasy nerd im sure she's seen a lot of fantasy maids in media and knows how that trope kinda goes. Like maybe getting her a coffee while kirumi's cleaning early in the morning and declaring that she used her mana to make her a top of the notch stamina potion

i could easily see them having tea as himiko develops a fantasy backstory for kirumi and kirumi is pretending to be a bit ambivalent but is actually interested in the darker fantasy twists himiko puts in to appeal to kirumi's goth side and asking questions. i could also see kirumi having a bit of fun playing along because being a dark fantasy maid doesnt undermine her being a maid and her desire to help so she'll just smile and be like "as you wish" as himiko says kirumis going to feed kokichi to a dragon or whatever. Plus having someone engage Himiko's creativity without treating it like some super cute precious thing and instead just, engaging with it more on himikos level i think would be really good at getting himiko to open up

The ship sounds really cute tbh, Himiko would totally encourage Kirumi into the whole larping gig while she worked to make her job less stressful

“And now for my final feat of maaaagic this evening,” Himiko declared to her audience with a flourish of her cape, “I need a volunteer!”

Himiko already knew who she wanted to call up, but she ‘scanned the crowd’ anyway before ‘making her choice’, “You,” she pointed into the seats, “The pretty girl with silver hair.”

Kirumi smiled and nodded as she made her way out of her seat and onto the stage, accompanied by applause.

“My dear guest,” Himiko continued her flourish, “Would you care to have a magical experience full of fireworks this evening? Nyeh!”

Kirumi quietly laughed as she answered, “I would.”

Himiko crossed the stage to a table, and brought a stuffed rabbit out from underneath as she beckoned Kirumi to join her. “You are going to help me bring this rabbit to life!”

The audience applauded with excitement before Himiko gave Kirumi her instructions, “First, you will help me say the magic words, and then we need to let our rabbit friend know he will be loved when he enters this world, and we will seal it with a kiss. Nyeh!”

And then the audience started laughing. And Himiko started shaking… this wasn’t supposed to be funny; it was a serious part of her magic. “Do not be fooled,” she attempted to save face, “There is a method to the madness!”

The audience’s laughter grew a bit louder. But then she heard a distinct voice in her ear call her name. “Himiko, wake up,” it sounded like her old classmate, Kaede, “you fell asleep in class and you’re talking in your sleep; wake up!”

“Nyeh???” Himiko was snapped out of her dream back to reality. She looked around and saw her classmates at Hope’s Peak, all in their uniforms, all standing around in the classroom with their books in bags, all standing and snickering at her.

Kaede was at her level, removing her hand from Himiko’s arm— she must’ve been jostling it a bit to try and wake Himiko up— as Himiko turned to her, “Kaede? What’s going on?”

“Class is over,” Kaede was being gentle, with a smile that made Himiko feel guilty and embarrassed, “We wanted to make sure you’re okay.”

Himiko looked up at her classmates who were all still lingering and felt like Kaede was just saying that to be nice, “I’m— I’m fine,” Himiko stuttered, trying to quickly pack up her backpack.

“You were talking in your sleep is all,” Kaede wasn’t going to leave her, huh? “Just checking in on you.”

“Nyeh…” Himiko leaned in closer now that she felt even more embarrassed than before, “What was I… what was I saying?”

A voice came from the other side of her that made her heart stop, “You were mumbling my name a lot… and something about a kiss?”

Himiko’s face turned as red as her hair and she pulled her hat over her face to try and hide from everyone. Kirumi wasn’t supposed to know about any of this.

The laughter in the room grew louder, causing Kaede to stand up and angrily ask the class, “Don’t you all have somewhere to be? Get out of here!”

Kaede doesn’t get angry often so it’s kind of scary when she does, but everyone listened, bustling out of the classroom. “If you need to talk about anything, you know where my dorm is,” Kaede told Himiko gently as she got up to follow everyone else, “But I think someone else wants to talk with you first.”

Himiko dared to turn to Kirumi, poking her eyes out from under her hat, still not wanting Kirumi to see her blush.

“Um, hello…” Kirumi was soft-spoken, which was normal, but something felt different, “I was just… curious about something, Himiko.”

“Nyeh?”

“Something… you talk in your sleep, Himiko,” they were both avoiding eye contact, “and you said something about a kiss… from me?”

“Nyeh!” Himiko smacked her hands onto her face, wanting to hide from everything, “I didn’t mean to make you feel weird, Kirumi; I’m sorry!”

“No… I don’t think I feel… ‘weird’,” Kirumi managed to look at Himiko, who was red as a tomato, “I… I just hope you aren’t too embarrassed.”

“I am very embarrassed,” Himiko whines behind her hands.

Himiko couldn’t remove her hands, but heard the scraping of a metal chair on a linoleum floor as Kirumi sat in the desk next to her. There was a bit of silence. Kirumi was debating whether or not to reach out and touch Himiko.

“You’re very sweet,” Kirumi began, “and you’re quite cute…”

“Nyeh?” Himiko looked through a crack in her fingers, her heart fluttering. The girl she literally dreams about is calling her cute?

“And I… I can only hope that our first kiss is going to be magical… as you said in your sleep today,” Kirumi’s face was flushed pink, but her smile felt so sincere.

“Did I… did I really say that?” Himiko asked.

Kirumi quietly giggled, “Yes, you did.”

“Oh my gosh, that’s so embarrassing!” Himiko hid her face completely again.

Kirumi gently took Himiko’s hands and guided them away to see her face, “Is it something you meant? Because I meant what I said.”

Himiko could finally look at Kirumi’s sparkling green eyes and felt like the wax of a lit candle. She smiled and nodded ‘yes’ with enthusiasm.

Kirumi moved Himiko’s hands to her lips, kissing her knuckles. “I hope you don’t mind that I do wish for a kiss on the lips to be… more magical. After we have a date, perhaps?”

Himiko was tongue-tied in the best way possible, only being able to smile and nod. Kirumi continued, “Would you like me to walk you to lunch?”

Whenever you were seperated she tended to think about you a lot. Piece of SHIT gremlin dear LORD I love him. Sure Hiyoko was a handful, but with Kokichi it's even more apparent. He's a trickster through and through, and just because you're dating doesn't mean he's gonna ease up on it. They will probably be less intense and more playful most of the time, and the name calling will be more cheeky rather than insulting. But you are not gonna be immune to his jackassery. He has a habit of following you around a lot and constantly trying to bug you and get your attention. Don't even get me started on his lies. At first you thought he was just wanting to be annoying (okay that's part of it), but actually he just really likes spending time with you. Being able to talk to you constantly and see your funny reactions gives him so much happiness. He'll deny how clingy he is and mock you for thinking so, but one time he followed you into the bathroom, so that speaks for itself

Korekiyo Shinguji - Physical Touch

Korekiyo is a... I'm just gonna say it, he's a kinky bastard. He finds humanity fascinating and wants to experience the wonders of existence, including the taboos. When you attempt to talk to him and let him air his troubles, he'll insist he's fine. He'll still have a cool air to him, but deep down he really appreciates your concern. And honestly, he considers you a reason to live a little longer

Tenko Chabashira - Physical Touch

Tenko is aggressive with her affections (just ask Himiko) so when she crushes on you she is obvious and intense. She'll gush over you and shower you with praise as often as possible. So if you validate her and accept her feelings, she's gonna jump right into it. Expect a lot of hugs and snuggles quite openly. To the point of embarrassment sometimes. You are just so cute she can't help herself!! A favorite past time of her is to practice Akido with you. Tenko gets a lot of joy sharing her passion with you, and being able to toss you around is a bonus I'mma be blunt though. If you are femme or femme presenting she is gonna protect you with her heart and treat you like a queen. If you are masc or masc presenting it will be... rough for a while. She'll eventually come around, but you'll just have to prove you aren't a degenerate male and earn her respect. Once you do, Tenko will hold you in much higher regard than other men and treat you as the golden standard

Tsumugi Shirogane - Gift Giving

Tsumugi is a mastermind obsessed with the Danganronpa series in itself. Something about it is fascinating to her and brings her much amusement. And with you she instantly noticed that you fit the series perfectly. You fit her perfectly. She knew she had to get you, and luckily she did! While at first it was more of an entertainment thing, Tsumugi eventually found herself growing fond of you. She actually enjoyed going on dates with you, no ulterior motives anymore. Rantaro feels terrible, but does everything in his power to help you out when you feel like this. He has good ways of dealing with anxiety and depression since it’s something he is experienced with.

Kaede she just feels so bad for you :( she’s just like what noo wtf!!! She hates that you feel this way and she kinda treats it as something that can be fixed with positivity and optimism and working out and hanging out with friends more often but even she knows deep down this won’t magically fix itself.

Ryoma gets it, he’s not suicidal per say but he stopped caring if he lives or dies. He has good ways of helping you through some rough days and is there for you through it all.

Kirumi hates knowing that she may not be able to help you much. She does as much as she can, but she mainly tries to be a caretaker to you when the going gets rough and helps make sure you have proper hygiene and get food in your system.

Tenko is the kinda person who wants you to put all that negative energy into something like working out with her, it will hopefully get all the sadness and anger out of your system or at least make you feel a bit better and not about suicide.

Angie tells you she’s praying to atua for you. It’s not one of those “Atua will heal you don’t worry” it’s more like “I’m praying to atua that you’ll be okay in the end.” which is a very … sweet thing for her to do in her own way :)

Miu may not know how to respond, she’s actually speechless. Hates knowing you’re in that much pain you’d want to end it all. She tries to come up with some inventions related to emotions for you to wear but unless you want to wear a helmet for the rest of your life, she has to come up with something else for you.

Gonta is confused, why would you want to end your own life? He may not understand where you’re coming from, like at all, but he’s here for you. Such a comforting soul, he can make you feel a little better with just a glance. He’s not aware of his power and wishes he could do more for you.

Kokichi used to be suicidal too. He still deals with depression just not to the point of suicidal thoughts anymore. He knows how to help you through them without harming yourself and he’s absolutely broken by the fact you’re in a spot he used to be in.

Kaito is kinda like kaede in the sense that positivity and working hard and optimism will make it better, even if that’s obviously not always the case especially for something so serious. He means well but he won’t be very helpful. He will back off if you tell him to though?

Kiibo knows how to help, by google standards anyway. He’s terrified at the thought of you doing anything so he becomes overprotective and tries to give you general advice.

Himiko tries to make your life easier, she does the chores and other small things she knows may be hard for you on rough days. She checks up on you and will make sure you’re taking care of yourself and she will try to make you smile.

Maki may not understand what it is you’re going through but she tries her best. She checks up on you a lot and demands you take care of yourself if you aren’t. She’s so scary, so you probably do it not to get her death glare.

platonic rarepairs ough,,,i think the first two i think of are tenko&shuuichi and himiko&tsumugi! i latched on to tenko&shuuichi right after the first trial when tenko threatens to beat kaito's ass for punching shuuichi (she seems to have a real soft spot for sad wet cat people. also LMAO) and there's this optional side conversation after shuuichi walks into the dining room without his hat where she says the others were insensitive by asking about something that should be kept between him and kaede, and she'll help carry on kaede's wish too and shuuichi has this soft little smile and!!! AUGH!!!!!!!!! their FTEs and love hotel together mean NOTHING to me they're so much more endearing in the main story. friends!!

as for himiko&tsumugi - i cannot for the *life* of me find it, but i swear there's this bit in one of the trials where she says she'll silence someone with a spell called the DEATH SPELL and tsumugi says 'um, well, i suppose being dead would silence someone pretty good!' and it made me laugh so hard i immediately latched on to them. i think a lot abt them hanging out on the sidelines,,making costumes together, talking about magical girl anime, becoming even closer once they joined the student council - and tsumugi being himiko's closest friend left by ch6. it would make the betrayal more impactful i think.

as for romantic rarepairs - i don't wanna say akasaiou since that just consists of three decently popular ships, so! i've been thinking a lot about gokutoujou lately :] gonta complimenting kirumi's spiderweb patterns and telling her she reminds him of a spider,,,kirumi being unafraid of gonta or his bug friends,,,formal dancing lessons that slowly transition into lazy circles as kirumi happily listens to him tell her about a cool beetle he found ○|￣|_ they're so soft. i just want them to fall in love as they realize the other wants them for THEM, not for any service they can provide.

A Hopeful Future - DV3 Cast x Ultimate Cuteness Reader Finale

Ten years since you graduated Hope’s Peak Academy.

You stand on the balcony of the house you shared with your significant other, who was standing right beside you.

At your beloved plush bunny’s request, you passed him down to your child, if you had one.

He was just as attached to the rabbit as you were when you first received him from your grandmother. It was an endearing sight.

But that didn’t mean the bond you shared with Mr. Bunny ever went away. He continued to give you any kind of support you needed, and sometimes, you had time to spend alone with him. He still loved to hold you like a baby, even though you were fully grown.

If you had any children, you’d best believe the rabbit does the same thing to them too.

When they were born, you handed them to Mr. Bunny to hold them, and he held them so gently, as though they were made of glass. And instead of cowering away from him, they curled into his soft chest, and you saw his black, beady eyes shine with tears.

He basically became their third parent, and sometimes, you had to pry the child away from him because he refused to leave their side. Then you would laugh as he got grumpy and pouted at you.

He was like the family’s bodyguard, and he did his job well. Not only was he very difficult to damage, but his keen senses did a great job at sensing danger, then getting rid of it before you or your family could find out.

Anyway, you watched the sunset with a peaceful expression, on the warm cottage property you always dreamed of living in.

Seeing you lost in thought, your significant other gets your attention by placing their hand on yours.

“Are you alright?”

You snapped to attention and gave them a warm smile and nodded.

“Just thinking about the past, and how we ended up here. It’s kind of weird to think about, but I couldn’t be happier.”

Rantaro isn’t dumb and has had many girls like him before so he’ll be quick to catch on. He doesn’t mind of course, and once he’s sure he returns the feelings he’ll probably confess or .. wait for you to confess. It really depends on the kinda person you are and if you seem like the kinda person who’d want to confess first. He’s a considerate guy after all.

Kaede doesn’t catch on I’ll be honest she’s oblivious, she just doesn’t have a lot of experience in this department. She might ask if you’re hitting on her a couple times but if you say no she just believes you tbh lol but she will take notice to how nice you are to her and she appreciates it.

Ryoma doesn’t catch on, he’s not an idiot it’s mainly due to his self loathing tbh, he cannot fathom the idea of somebody liking him romantically for so many reasons. He doesn’t understand why you’re so nice to him and gush over him and his talent, but he can’t help but get flustered about it.

Kirumi is smart enough to catch on but it’s more so of a sneaking suspicion rather than her being absolutely sure. She is pretty straight forward with you though and asks you if she’s looking too into things or not.

Angie will surely catch on! After all, she has atua on her side! She may not be able to notice but he sure will and will guide her towards you! She will debate asking you out for awhile, since she’s the kinda person that wants to date “the one” so she’s sitting for awhile deciding if you are truly her soulmate.

Tenko will always get flustered by your compliments and how you are but she doesn’t really notice you like her. It’s probably because she’s too caught up in being embarrassed and flustered to honestly notice something like that. Though she’s pretty similar in this manner, she does not approach you about her feelings.

Miu notices, but she’s not sure what it is. She’s unsure if you just see her as a friend or if you see her as more and it seriously pisses her off! However she loves your compliments so she does things in order to get more from you like making new inventions. Eventually though she gets sick of hiding her feelings and yells at you for making her feel these emotions, and demands you tell her if you return her feelings at all.

Gonta doesn’t notice things like this, he will take note you seem to appreciate him and that the two of you are very close at the very least but he doesn’t suspect you like him. He isn’t sure how to figure that out honestly, gonta doesn’t even realize his own feelings for awhile but once he finally does he’s quick to confess them to you. He can’t really keep a secret from you anyway.

Oh boy, kokichi catches on. He’s not an idiot and is easily able to catch on to other peoples feelings if they’re obvious enough and you’re certainly obvious with your constant compliments and gushing. He honestly wonders if you even bother trying to hide it or if you’re being obvious on purpose. In any event, he waits for you to make the first move, if you take too long though he goes for it.

Kaito won’t catch on, in case you haven’t noticed he’s not the brightest guy around. He will sense a closeness between you two, and there are times he wonders if you return the feelings he shares for you, but he doesn’t really.. think you do…? Yknow? Like he’s just kinda oblivious to it.

Kiibo is completely new to this stuff. He will sense something is off with you, and that you definitely interact with him differently than you do with the others, but he doesn’t suspect it’s cause you like him or anything. He’s certainly not dumb but he can be a stereotypical robot that has trouble understanding how people feel at times.

Maki is oblivious to your feelings even if you’re extremely obvious about it. Maki is far too focused on her own feelings and trying to hide them, since she hates these feelings she’s having. She doesn’t completely understand them, either.

Himiko doesn’t really catch on I’ll be honest she probably just thinks that the two of you are good friends and she’s stuck in a friendzone and she has no idea how to get out of it.

Sure!

Although they’d all been dating each other since their third year of high school, marriage was only proposed by Kaede when they were in their mid-twenties. That said, she’d often talked about one day marrying them when they were younger.

Kirumi tried to take care of all the housework, but her partners made that impossible for her to do. They knew how easy it was for her to overwork herself, despite taking on lighter work loads since high school.

Himiko was always the first of them to fall asleep and last to wake up, so everyone traded off being the next to bed to keep her company as she slept. This also helped Shuichi and Kirumi not stay up late working.

Shuichi worked mostly low-level cases as a detective, so he wasn’t often in immediate danger. This didn’t mean his partners worried any less, but it was a bit of a comfort knowing that.

Kaede was the most verbally affectionate, and often the most physically affectionate as well. Everyone had their own love languages, of course, and had plenty of practice in not crossing boundaries.
