The stripes in the photos are from fairly light hits with it. They don't bruise at this stage but they stripe really pretty for about 10 minutes. It stings a whooole lot, theres this hot burning welt that springs up immediately after. Like a cane but deeper because it is less flexible. A great way to elicit lots of short little yelps from a pet. It's short and great as a single tool to use during training. We think if someone strong hit us full force it'd absolutely deliver cane shaped bruises and welts. But currently we don't have anyone very strong near us to hit us :(
This implement is made of a high density delrin roundstock, is between 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch thick, and 18 inches long. It used to be sold under the model name ever ready by caneiac but is discontinued now I believe. You can make your own by sanding the edge of the cuts on a piece of delrin roundstock and wrapping the grip in bicycle handlebar tape.

#free books movies music endless resources and event spaces for rent AND a 3d printer at some locations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#the only criticism i have is that they do not have any color printing services#there is like one location in the whole city that does it and its downtown...#sorry not spending 40 mins on transit just to print colour pictures of splatoon characters to display in photocard sleeves around my room#is colour printing really that hard to implement at other branches ik ink is expensive but im willing to pay!!#regular print is a dime per page i'll pay a dollar for colour!! maybe two!!#anything to avoid staples i dont need the employees seeing the shit i want printed also FUCK staples#thispost was about loving the library and i just complained in the tags im so sorry library you are nearly perfect to me in every other way#.ε

#i got gifted like 2/3 of them pleek.. im not crazy#unrelated but im still SO mad ea moved from origin to the ea app#because the real ones remember the ORIGINAL ea app back in 2010#ea download manager. GOAT#anyway i had the ts3 teaser back then and later on i got sims 3 pets demo and they removed it from my library once origin came to be.#ts3 CAS too. i hate electronic arts#and like. is the ts3 teaser lost media nowadays? because i see NO ONE talking about it and i cant find any download link online. lol#they had some really cool features that only got implemented on later expansions. like robots (ambitions) and protests (university life!!!!#<- the third to last ts3 expansion!!)#i remember you could only play it for 60 minutes (?) but my computer took like. 20 minutes to load the game and it ran TERRIBLY#so id make lots of accounts so i could play it again and again

Just finished my tenth arcade in Zan Evolution Butouden, here are my scores:
Honestly didn't expect to do so good with Taka, as I'm not very good as him; but placing high with Ciara and Sinkage were not surprising to me at all. I've also now played as more than half of the entire roster (there are eighteen characters in total), and have found some new potential mains!
I might do a tier list of how good I am as these characters sometime...

Man I need to either fuck around or research how some mixed media would work bc I'll be sitting down thinking "what would be the best way to work pastels and watercolors in a same piece" and not even try to test it out
#my posts#i assume watercolors should usually go at the very bottom bc i dont think theyd stick well with other mayerials#but would the pastels smudge properly on top of watercolors? probably but not a thing i know about!#also i heard some materials crack if put on top of others#i think it was oils and acrylics. one of them cracks on top of the other#which one i have no idea. also what kind of crack bc depending on that that IS a thing you may implement#i know some markers/pens will get their nibs ruined on top of certain materials but what's the extent of it. which materials. all of them?#i know some materials are very opaque and will cover ink so its more like a waste of material but. does the ink bellow-#-have a chance of ruining what you put on top? assuming its dry and wont smudge#i barely do traditional art instead of digital (barely do digital lately but its another story) and so im thinking about it#i should fuck around and find out#(dont have oils or markers thats just general questions but i have watercolor acrylic gouache pencils ink and oil pastels so..)#i think the acrylics are relatively good quality and everything else is a bit whatever normal can find them at rvery library#but i kinda miss painting and ending up kinda stained lmao

i’m listening to this podcast [Sold a Story] on how early literacy education has failed our kids (specifically the “whole language” method) and why it’s resulted in more than two-thirds of US American 4th graders testing below proficient levels in reading and it is a horror story actually!!
#i have a rant in development on how this ties directly into the decline of media literacy in adults#but holy shit#i’m only two episodes into this podcast and am already trying to think of what interventions i can be implementing in the library

I was talking to my dad about renewable energy and he was like “the only problem with solar farms is they take up so much space.”
And it made me think about a city and how much sun exposure all the rooftops in a city get and…why not just make the city it’s own solar farm by putting solar panels on every rooftop?
