Welcome to the premier of One-Picture-Proof!
Tumblr media
This is either going to be the first installment of a long running series or something I will never do again. (We'll see, don't know yet.)
Like the name suggests each iteration will showcase a theorem with its proof, all in one picture. I will provide preliminaries and definitions, as well as some execises so you can test your understanding. (Answers will be provided below the break.)
The goal is to ease people with some basic knowledge in mathematics into set theory, and its categorical approach specifically. While many of the theorems in this series will apply to topos theory in general, our main interest will be the topos Set. I will assume you are aware of the notations of commutative diagrams and some terminology. You will find each post to be very information dense, don't feel discouraged if you need some time on each diagram. When you have internalized everything mentioned in this post you have completed weeks worth of study from a variety of undergrad and grad courses. Try to work through the proof arrow by arrow, try out specific examples and it will become clear in retrospect.
Please feel free to submit your solutions and ask questions, I will try to clear up missunderstandings and it will help me designing further illustrations. (Of course you can just cheat, but where's the fun in that. Noone's here to judge you!)
Preliminaries and Definitions:
B^A is the exponential object, which contains all morphisms A→B. I comes equipped with the morphism eval. : A×(B^A)→B which can be thought of as evaluating an input-morphism pair (a,f)↦f(a).
The natural isomorphism curry sends a morphism X×A→B to the morphism X→B^A that partially evaluates it. (1×A≃A)
φ is just some morphism A→B^A.
Δ is the diagonal, which maps a↦(a,a).
1 is the terminal object, you can think of it as a single-point set.
We will start out with some introductory theorem, which many of you may already be familiar with. Here it is again, so you don't have to scroll all the way up:
Tumblr media
Exercises:
What is the statement of the theorem?
Work through the proof, follow the arrows in the diagram, understand how it is composed.
What is the more popular name for this technique?
What are some applications of it? Work through those corollaries in the diagram.
Can the theorem be modified for epimorphisms? Why or why not?
For the advanced: What is the precise requirement on the category, such that we can perform this proof?
For the advanced: Can you alter the proof to lessen this requirement?
Bonus question: Can you see the Sicko face? Can you unsee it now?
Expand to see the solutions:
Solutions:
This is Lawvere's Fixed-Point Theorem. It states that, if there is a point-surjective morphism φ:A→B^A, then every endomorphism on B has a fixed point.
Good job! Nothing else to say here.
This is most commonly known as diagonalization, though many corollaries carry their own name. Usually it is stated in its contraposition: Given a fixed-point-less endomorphism on B there is no surjective morphism A→B^A.
Most famous is certainly Cantor's Diagonalization, which introduced the technique and founded the field of set theory. For this we work in the category of sets where morphisms are functions. Let A=ℕ and B=2={0,1}. Now the function 2→2, 0↦1, 1↦0 witnesses that there can not be a surjection ℕ→2^ℕ, and thus there is more than one infinite cardinal. Similarly it is also the prototypiacal proof of incompletness arguments, such as Gödels Incompleteness Theorem when applied to a Gödel-numbering, the Halting Problem when we enumerate all programs (more generally Rice's Theorem), Russells Paradox, the Liar Paradox and Tarski's Non-Defineability of Truth when we enumerate definable formulas or Curry's Paradox which shows lambda calculus is incompatible with the implication symbol (minimal logic) as well as many many more. As in the proof for Curry's Paradox it can be used to construct a fixed-point combinator. It also is the basis for forcing but this will be discussed in detail at a later date.
If we were to replace point-surjective with epimorphism the theorem would no longer hold for general categories. (Of course in Set the epimorphisms are exactly the surjective functions.) The standard counterexample is somewhat technical and uses an epimorphism ℕ→S^ℕ in the category of compactly generated Hausdorff spaces. This either made it very obvious to you or not at all. Either way, don't linger on this for too long. (Maybe in future installments we will talk about Polish spaces, then you may want to look at this again.) If you really want to you can read more in the nLab page mentioned below.
This proof requires our category to be cartesian closed. This means that it has all finite products and gives us some "meta knowledge", called closed monoidal structure, to work with exponentials.
Yanofsky's theorem is a slight generalization. It combines our proof steps where we use the closed monoidal structure such that we only use finite products by pre-evaluating everything. But this in turn requires us to introduce a corresponding technicallity to the statement of the theorem which makes working with it much more cumbersome. So it is worth keeping in the back of your mind that it exists, but usually you want to be working with Lawvere's version.
Yes you can. No, you will never be able to look at this diagram the same way again.
We see that Lawvere's Theorem forms the foundation of foundational mathematics and logic, appears everywhere and is (imo) its most important theorem. Hence why I thought it a good pick to kick of this series.
If you want to read more, the nLab page expands on some of the only tangentially mentioned topics, but in my opinion this suprisingly beginner friendly paper by Yanofsky is the best way to read about the topic.

Curious to hear about Sandstorm in your rewrite. At least tell me she gets a cooler death
Sandstorm, the future Patron of Food Security! Prayed to, to keep Clans fed and hunts successful.
She gets a silly little moment with Firepaw when they first meet. Love at first sight from him, angelic choir, sparkles, hearts and all that... Only for her to hiss at him about "having to sleep next to a stinky kittypet"
She was sometimes jokingly referred to as Redtail's daughter, and it gave her a very complicated relationship with him. He was nice, and honorable, and everyone liked him... But he wasn't her parent, she didn't see him like that, he just found her, and she didn’t want to be in his shadow. When he died, it gave her emotions a bit too big to handle, and she took it out on Firepaw, a very easy target. Her bond with his mate, Runningwind, only came in after Redtail's death, and even then, that story never gets a complete ending, Runningwind dying too soon for Sandstorm to resolve how she feels. She has 0 connection with their adoptive/surrogated son, Stemkit/Stempaw/Stempelt.
It's about the What Might Have Been. Moving on from an incomplete puzzle that might not have even been one in the first place. She has No Discernable Heritage.
While she is still not given Tawnypaw to mentor, it isn't because of "Oh I don't wanna put her in danger" bs. Fireheart saw a sweet connection between Tawnykit and her aunt, Mistfang. He wanted to foster that. Also, Sandstorm being injured in the same patrol that Runningwind was killed in.
Skipping a bit forward, I can tell you that the one line in The Ultimate Guide about having wanted more kits but never wanting to bother Firestar was heartbreaking... and stupid. It's Sandstorm for goodness sake! If she has a thought she will express it! Instead, WCR!Sandstorm is mote than happy with her little family. She loves her daughters and the 4 of them are a perfect family in her mind. She actively doesn't want more kits. Also, she is pregnant during Firestar's Quest.
Her death in WCR!AVOS is different. I refuse to let her die in camp, but I also refuse to "thin the crowd" with a pathetic death for such a loved character. Instead, that death goes to Molewhisker. Molewhisker dies during The Apprentice's Quest, Sandstorm getting a cool scar on her shoulder.
She dies in the second book, when The Kin shows up and begins its insidious recruitment, drawing in cats of all backgrounds. Clan, Loner, Kittypet, and Rogue. When it becomes more clear what Darktail is doing, Sparkpaw fights back against him, and Sandstorm watches Darktail manage to grapple on top of her granddaughter. No one else knew she was there, as Bramblestar kept insisting she stayed in camp...
Sandstorm lunges at Darktail. Bowling into him and winding him. She rips his ear badly and puts deep scratches into his muzzle, urging Sparkpaw to run as Darktail reels from the injuries. Sparkpaw gets a front row seat as Darktail lunges for her grandmother one last time. He kills Sandstorm with a bite to her throat, but is tackled off by Hollyleaf and Lionblaze. Sparkpaw brings Sandstorm away from the fight and stay with her until she very quickly bleeds out.
It's the 'spark' that starts a chain reaction in Thunderclan. Sandstorm is honoured as a hero, and many cats fight in her name. Sparkpelt is.... Traumatized.
Sandstorm is also one of Skyclan's Patrons, along with Firestar, Smudge, and Scourge. Patrons of Rebirth.

Not quite sure how I feel about season 0 yet
Tumblr media
I’ve definitely enjoyed the first three episodes. Retrospectively, parts of it work really well as a prequel to the original Yugioh series. Like Joey/Jonouchi (might go back and forth on their names since I watched DM in dub) going from a bully to a friend to Yugi and Yugi completing the puzzle, two things that were only ever mentioned in DM. It was neat actually seeing those events onscreen. I know they weren’t in DM because they didn’t want to be too derivative of this series and that’s totally fair but it still made DM feel incomplete in some places.
Apart from the “prequel-y” bits though, this has a very different feel from the rest of Yugioh. So far at least, it’s very episodic. The pilot gives some set ups and the next two episodes (and seemingly the next one based on its preview) are really loosely connected filler stories following these characters, with the occasional horror vibe when Yami Yugi shows up. Every episode so far has followed the same “some guy beats up weak Yugi so Yami Yugi appears in the last few minutes to punish them with a shadow game” narrative. Which is fine, it’s just entertaining enough to keep my attention for a couple episodes at a time while I eat. Season 0 feels different from every other Yugioh series but as a result, it lacks the charm of the other Yugioh series, at least for me.
It has its own merits though. Like its characters, some of which are superior to their depictions in DM.
Tumblr media
Okay not all of them. I still don’t really like Honda (never have) and Miho comes off as kind of manipulative but the others are all pretty good. I like Jonouchi’s more gruff yet still loyal persona in this show, that could just be a sub vs dub thing to be fair but I quite liked it. He’s about on par with his DM self. Yugi Muto meanwhile gets a lot more screentime in this series than he does in DM and as a result, I actually like him right off the bat, unlike DM where it took me much longer to care about either of the Yugis. Yami Yugi...
Tumblr media
...is not as twisted in this as I was lead to believe he was, at least at the point I’ve seen. His voice and design are honestly more weird than creepy which I will admit does disappoint me a bit. I do like how he feels much more like a legit alter ego to Yugi in this than he did in DM, where he was definitely his own person. That worked in its own right but I really like the whole “Jekyll and Hyde” vibe Yugi and Yami have in season 0, as though he’s actually a darker personality originating from within Yugi. Not sure if that’s what they’re going for yet but I enjoy it.
And my favourite season 0 character so far is Anzu.
Tumblr media
No you ain’t trippin, season 0 Anzu is the best interpretation of this character I’ve seen. Dark Side of Dimensions is a distant second place in this regard since it showed her achieving her dream by leaving to study dancing in America (the only bit of character she had that wasn’t related to her relationships in DM) and in episode 2 of season 0, she’s willing to break school rules and get a part time job to raise money for that dream. You go girl. She’s also just generally more enjoyable. I don’t know, the writing here makes her come off as more sassy and no nonsense rather than DM where she just felt... for lack of a better term, like a stereotypical nag. Also, she and Yugi are actually kind of cute in season 0. I like the scene where she sticks up for Yugi when he’s being bullied and Yugi just looks so incredibly happy to see her:
Tumblr media
And this one where he excitedly talks to her about the puzzle:
Tumblr media
They actually seem like genuine friends in this series, a fact that never really came through in DM for me because of how little screentime Yugi got compared to Atem. Anzu’s character revolved around him way too much in DM  and while that could still become a problem in season 0 (in fact it almost definitely will considering the pattern of DM-VRAINS) but I’m glad that for the first few episodes at least, Anzu was allowed to have more of a personality. And she and Yugi have much easier chemistry.
It’s a decent show so far I’d say. If it had been my introduction to Yugioh, I almost definitely wouldn’t have gotten as into it as I have but looking back on it as a “prequel” or the series’ roots in general makes it kind of interesting.

The Greek Interpreter pt 2
We have literally 0 plot to theorise on so far, just Mycroft in all his Mycroftian glory.
"I have had something quite after your own heart--a most singular problem--submitted to my judgement. I really had not the energy to follow it up save in a very incomplete fashion, but it gave me a basis for some pleasing speculation. If you would care to hear the facts--"
This is a bit like when my Mum tells me that I should look at the crossword she's started. Mycroft wants to share his enjoyment with his brother. Such a good older sibling. Also, he's too lazy to actually do the legwork required. But that's what younger siblings are for, isn't it? Or at least that's what my older brother tells me.
"This is Wednesday evening," said Mr Melas. "Well then, it was Monday night—only two days ago, you understand—that all this happened. I am an interpreter, as perhaps my neighbour there has told you. I interpret all languages—or nearly all—"
...He interprets all languages.
All languages.
All languages. Or nearly all. That's a lot of languages, my dude. I know some people who speak a lot of languages, but none of them comes close to speaking all languages. 5 or 6 I think is the most I've ever encountered, and only fluently in 3 or 4. There are definitely people out there who speak more, but nearly all. This man is officially the most knowledgeable person who has ever appeared in a Sherlock Holmes story. He's a linguistic genius.
The Internet tells me that historically the person who is said to have spoken/understood the most languages was Sir John Bowring, a 19th century governor of Hong Kong. He understood 200 languages and spoke 100.
The person who currently holds the record lives in Brazil and claims to speak 59.
The BBC website tells me that there are up to 7000 different languages, although 90% are spoken by less than 100,000 people. But Mr Melas does not specify that he speaks all the common languages or all the popular languages. He says he speaks nearly all languages.
Yes I am taking this literally purely to be difficult. It's more amusing that way. I know this is a case of hyperbole for fiction's sake, but I like the idea that Mr Melas speaks 6000+ languages. This is another case for random supernatural occurrences within the stories.
"I was not surprised, therefore, on Monday night when a Mr Latimer, a very fashionably dressed young man, came up to my rooms and asked me to accompany him in a cab which was waiting at the door. A Greek friend had come to see him upon business, he said, and as he could speak nothing but his own tongue, the services of an interpreter were indispensable."
First, I like the note that Mr Latimer is a fashion-conscious man. Second, how did he and the Greek man come to be friends if they could not speak each other's languages at all. Have they always spoken through other people? Maybe you should try learning some Greek, Mr Latimer.
"It was certainly more roomy than the ordinary four-wheeled disgrace to London, and the fittings, though frayed, were of rich quality."
Mr Melas is a cab snob. 'Four-wheeled disgrace to London' is a delightful turn of phrase.
"I had ventured some remark as to this being a roundabout way to Kensington, when my words were arrested by the extraordinary conduct of my companion. "He began by drawing a most formidable-looking bludgeon loaded with lead from his pocket, and switching it backward and forward several times, as if to test its weight and strength. Then he placed it without a word upon the seat beside him.
Tumblr media
Well, this can't be good. Shenanigans are afoot. I like that Mr Latimer is very clear about this, though. Oh yeah, I'm a bad guy. Look at my bad guy credentials. There's no beating around the bush, just straight up threat of violence. Clear. To the point. No need for words.
"'This is very extraordinary conduct, Mr Latimer,' I stammered. 'You must be aware that what you are doing is quite illegal.' "'It is somewhat of a liberty, no doubt,'"
This is such a polite exchange. 'Uh, you are aware that kidnapping me is illegal, sir?' 'Yes, it's a little rude of me.'
So casual, so matter of fact. If I were kidnapped I wouldn't say 'hi, you know this is illegal, right?' But then i don't speak 6000+ languages, so what do I know about talking?
Realistically, this is terrifying, but Mr Melas' account is hilarious.
'I beg you to remember that no one knows where you are, and that, whether you are in this carriage or in my house, you are equally in my power.'
Less hilarious. More terrifying.
"'Well done, well done! No ill-will, Mr Melas, I hope, but we could not get on without you. If you deal fair with us you'll not regret it, but if you try any tricks, God help you!' He spoke in a nervous, jerky fashion, and with little giggling laughs in between, but somehow he impressed me with fear more than the other."
Yep, this guy seems unstable. Also 'no ill will'? You literally kidnapped him with a threat of violence. Yes ill will. Much ill will. I don't think you know what ill will means.
"'But say no more than you are told to say, or--' here came the nervous giggle again--'you had better never have been born.'"
Yep... this is the sign of a totally stable and reasonable person and absolutely not a creepy murderer. At least we already know Mr Melas survives to relate this tale, or I'd be certain he was about to be buried under the floorboards.
"'You are to ask the questions, Mr Melas, and he will write the answers. Ask him first of all whether he is prepared to sign the papers?'"
The fact he is not allowed to talk indicates that something about his voice would give something away. If they don't know Greek then writing and speaking are pretty much interchangeable for getting information across, so there would be no need to stop him from speaking because he can write incriminating things just as easily. Unless, one of them can read Greek, in which case why get an interpreter? So I stand by my thought that his voice must be incriminating. Or he's mute. Always possible.
"I took to adding on little sentences of my own to each question, innocent ones at first, to test whether either of our companions knew anything of the matter, and then, as I found that they showed no signs I played a more dangerous game."
Resourceful and intelligent. He tests the water first with non-incriminating stuff, then gets more in depth.
"'Harold,' said she, speaking English with a broken accent. 'I could not stay away longer. It is so lonely up there with only—Oh, my God, it is Paul!' "These last words were in Greek, and at the same instant the man with a convulsive effort tore the plaster from his lips, and screaming out 'Sophy! Sophy!' rushed into the woman's arMs Their embrace was but for an instant, however, for the younger man seized the woman and pushed her out of the room, while the elder easily overpowered his emaciated victim, and dragged him away through the other door.
OK, so Sophy seems to have been having quite a pleasant time of it all told. While poor Paul's been going through it. Kind of dumb of them to let her walk in on them, though. I assume that they had a plan to avoid that which somehow went wrong. Also, if she's being held of her own free will, this seems like it might put an end to that? Unless she's very gullible.
So, brother? I'm thinking relative because he has to sign something before she can get married? Or he wants her to be married? Presumably there's some sort of fortune involved.
"'We should not have troubled you, only that our friend who speaks Greek and who began these negotiations has been forced to return to the East. It was quite necessary for us to find some one to take his place, and we were fortunate in hearing of your powers.'"
'forced to return to the East' is that like saying he's in the cellar looking for a cask of amontillado? Maybe he just had a family emergency... maybe?
Also 'your powers', yes. Mr Melas's linguistic skills are clearly a super power.
"if you speak to a human soul about this—one human soul, mind—well, may God have mercy upon your soul!"
This threat clearly worked well, considering Mr Melas has so far told at least two souls about the situation, with great glee. I get the impression that Mr Melas is a stifled adrenaline junkie and this is the best thing that has happened to him all year.
"I cannot tell you the loathing and horror with which this insignificant-looking man inspired me. I could see him better now as the lamp-light shone upon him. His features were peaky and sallow, and his little pointed beard was thready and ill-nourished. [...] The terror of his face lay in his eyes, however, steel grey, and glistening coldly with a malignant, inexorable cruelty in their depths."
Sounds delightful.
Honestly, it's the little pointy beard that clearly marks him as a villain, though. Everyone knows that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although if he doesn't put more care into maintaining it, the league of villains will have him cast out for failure to maintain proper villainous standards.
"Any steps?" he asked. Mycroft picked up the Daily News, which was lying on the side-table. "'Anybody supplying any information to the whereabouts of a Greek gentleman named Paul Kratides, from Athens, who is unable to speak English, will be rewarded. A similar reward paid to any one giving information about a Greek lady whose first name is Sophy. X 2473.' That was in all the dailies. No answer."
Well now they're definitely going to know he said something. Subtle.
"In the meantime, Mr Melas, I should certainly be on my guard, if I were you, for of course they must know through these advertisements that you have betrayed them."
You don't say? No, seriously. I'd be worried if I were him. But apparently he's just got absolutely no fear.
"Then the brother--for that, I fancy, must be the relationship--comes over from Greece to interfere. He imprudently puts himself into the power of the young man and his older associate. They seize him and use violence towards him in order to make him sign some papers to make over the girl's fortune--of which he may be trustee--to them."
OK, so clearly that's entirely wrong because it's Watson's thoughts on the matter. So back to the drawing board. Not to disparage Watson, at all... but there's no way it's right if it's his theory.
"I really fancy that you are not far from the truth."
Really??!? That's probably the biggest surprise of this whole story so far.
Sophy seemed to have no inkling of any crime or ill-intent on the part of the bad guys, so they're clearly being subtle with her. Or they were. You don't just wander around a kidnapper's house going 'I came to find you Harold, because I was so lonely all alone up there'. Unless you're actually a character in an erotic thriller novel, then I guess that probably is a thing you would do.
I don't think this is an erotic thriller, however.
Did Watson really get this one right? I guess we'll find out next time.

I have spent. An insane fucking amount of time looking at MLP infection aus because a couple caught my attention. And now I have IDEAS and I need them OUT.
All under a read more because it's very rambly, and there's talks of body horror and stuff.
FUUUUCKING.
CODE ROT INFECTION AU.
It only targets those with high enough code densities. So Programs and Viruses are able to be infected, as are Code Manifestations and Offshoots. Guardians and Avatars can be infected, but they aren't adversely effected. NPCs and Abyss-borns are the only truly immune ones.
So;
Able to be infected/unimmnue
Programs
Viruses
Offshoots
Code Manifestations
Able to be infected/immune to adverse effects (carriers)(if it mutates, it could affect them..)
Avatars
Guardians
Completely immune
NPCs
Character-level (for now? Depends on how I feel)
Code Deities
Code Rot comes from beings with incomplete code. In an attempt to try and make itself whole, it basically tries to.. take control the host and force it to find anyone who may have the slightest bit of similar code and take it by.. forceful means.
Code Rot Stages
Beings with feelings of itchiness and pain flares. Nothing too bad, but the infected down have occasional thoughts of being imperfect. But it's nothing that can't just be chocked up to as stress.
The itchiness and pain flares get worse. The infected begins to scratch, sometimes drawing blood. They'll report a feeling of imperfection and needing to fix it, but unaware why. They're a bit more finicky during this stage. They start to avoid people and feel like their mind isn't their own.
It goes from concerning to horrifying. They being to self-mutilate. The feelings of imperfection grow. Their code nearly has full control over their mind, and is deadset on finding perfect code to replace the imperfect. The infected is basically a walking host, becoming aggressive towards anyone who tries to stop it. They occasionally black out.
The infected continues to self-mutilate, and their body begins changing as well. Extra limbs, eyes, anything start appearing. The code is trying to be perfect. It can't be. The infected can't be saved.
There's nothing but a husk left at stage 5. The body is unrecognizable at this point. The Code Rot has full control, and it won't stop until its 'perfect'.
Infection can only be done through two ways; an open wound getting corrupted code into it or someone's incomplete code turning into Code Rot. So..
Who is the Patient 0?
WRONG, MFS! IT'S WHO ARE THE PATIENT ZEROES! THAT'S RIGHT! THERES MULTIPLE! BECAUSE ANGST IS MY FOOD!
So! Our Patient 0s are Juliano, Root, and Entropy. Their situations should all be self-explanatory.
Juliano was the first to realize something was wrong. Remember that he isn't fully an Avatar, but only has semi-Avatar code. So when different pains started coming up, pains different than the usual flare ups, he knew he shouldn't hide this one.
Entropy.. is just straight up fucked. There's no way around it. She's such a bad Failed Fusion that it's a miracle that, in the main au, the wireframe scars are her only problem. And if you remember.. she does have all those Programs and Viruses in those glass balls..
Root actually got attacked by a Virus with Code Rot in the code world. (I'm leaving this ambiguous for when it takes place, only that Root is on good terms with everyone.) She was incredibly freaked out by it. It was less that she was attacked and more than she got hurt, with the open wound on her shoulder to prove it. In her panic of being attacked, she accidentally cut her shoulder. The virus had some unrelated corrupted code that dropped into her, and it facilitated the Code Rot's spread.
Root and Juliano both reported what they were feeling to Vitality, coincidentally at the same time as Entropy reached about Stage 4 (her broken code made it very easy) and just started a massacre. She released all the infected prisoners she had, and the code world was thrown into absolute chaos.
Juliano and Root are both kept somewhere very secure. Juliano is allowed to free roam in the area where he and Root are kept, but Root is not. She understands why and is completely accepting of it.
They're not allowed visitors, except for those who are trying to figure out Code Rot and those confirmed to be immune.
With their limited knowledge, it's unfornately an extremely short list.
Juliano does his best to be there for Root, but as her stages progressively get worse.. he's kept away for his own safety.
Root's more 'virus-like' features come out during this time due to her slowly losing control of her code. Her antlers, her tail, her claws.. it's slow, but it's there. Meanwhile, Entropy is causing absolute chaos. Infected are running amuck, and no one has any clue what to do. It's anarchy.
AND THAT. IS ALL I HAVE.
I don't know who the full list of the immune, unfornately. Only the obvious.

remembering all the insanely long marauders fics ive brainrotted over because i kinda forgot all of them. roughly in the order i read them.
Whatever happened to the young, young lovers?
355k, jegulus wolfstar rosekiller. post war (ended by regulus) where they just hang around grimmauld place all day. i literally cant remember anything that happened. but i liked how they stayed home and didnt go outside, because i relate to that. it was alternating chapters between post war and pre war, honestly i dont even know it was just so much relationship angst and regulus being incredibly competent and hurt.
All The Young Dudes
526k, the character development and buildup, its like the level of the actual series without the annual voldemort attack. i was DESTROYED by the ending, it lived in my brain rent free for like a week. why did it have to be canon compliant???! the way they spent so much time pining, so much time apart, and so little time together. but that theyre literal soulmates, which is so sad for grant (he suffered true emotional damage) lmfao. I guess this is the basis (canon??) of marauders era
we can be heroes, for ever and ever
102k alternate happy ending to atyd - yes PLEASE this is what i needed to heal the pain after reading atyd.
choices
624k. lowkey feel the same way towards this as atyd, except it didnt live in my brain rent free for a week. in that i respect that it's good and got heartbroken when everyone died and they didn't get their happy ending, but it did get me into jegulus so I'm not complaining. IDK it's just sad, but i love regulus and evan and cerci. even though i deadass can't remember anything else.
crimson rivers
865k actually SOBBING this fic is everything. so much plot and so much hurt, it is amazing and painful and intense. it has the most picturesque scenes, beautiful happy ending. but i did kinda get sick of it near the end cos its so fuckin long, and i was not into the girls in the fic so i was kinda cbs
just lovers
321k fake dating au. this is GREAT. its so light hearted which is a great change from the akckdjebakzj. this is the climb to the top for regulus being my favourite character. lowkey can't remember shit but i liked it and i need more fics like it because it was creative and there's not much room for that in marauders verse
only the brave
645k and The fic of my dreams. this is everything and i loved every second of it. every character is so great, and it got me into pandalily!!! perfect amount of hurt (a lot), and such good plot. it has every ship i like, i was like drowning in a hot spring of happiness while reading this
ecliptic
147k, oh it's so creative and new. it was so suspenseful cos we got 0 answers, and the fic is deadass incomplete wtf!! i love how everyone is sad but mostly rational. the jegulus was really really nice, and i liked how the cruciatus was made out to be a big deal so the hurt/comfort is better. i feel like the plot is better than the delivery
wolfstar my one true pair, jegulus my second true pair, evan®ulus has a special place in my heart, marauders fanfiction a permanent space in my mind for at least the next few weeks
new edit: shit! i forgot to update and i read so many more long fics and can barely remember them now
mastermind
311k i cant even remember anything that happened ... except i liked the dynamic between narcissa and regulus, and narcissa is so damn pretty. this was the one where regulus made james and sirius go with him to the cave, and then james had to force him to drink the potion, so much angst arghhhh.
all along there was some invisible string (tying you to me)
103k spiderman AU + high school and all i can say that its an original setting... the pining was great, and the spiderman kiss!! but other than that like it was good, i guess
I adored you madly, extravagantly, absurdly
243k Victorian AU with arranged marriage trans regulus. I loved regulus' character, he was so spiteful and petty but also down bad, and jegulus matched so perfectly together. i want his life so bad because his literal job was being married, like deadass he didnt do shit all day except read, play with his cats and pine for his husband...
a violent kind of spin
212k not going to lie, my favourite/most striking parts of this fic were the $h scenes... and i just finished it last night so I dont even have an excuse. james asking sirius to turn around and not even waiting for him to do it??? oml hes unhinged and it was so well written. the bathtub scene when he was on a timer and then just walked out like everything was fine!!! help it was so angsty im in love. i feel like i speedran this fic and didnt read it properly, which is probably accurate
Im not gonna teach him how to dance with you
122k. rosekiller is the BEST. i love the whole plot tbh and it was so well paced. love that for evan because nobody else is gonna keep by with barty's crazy. i would have liked it more if it had crack undertones but yknow whatever, cant have everything. i thoroughly enjoyed all the romantic tension in the leadup, the way they were both so in love im gone.
All the young dudes - Sirius' Perspective
628k, let me tell you, canon has no right being that sad, and the beloved author just fed off that like a parasite. i should have expected how this fanfic would destroy me, but the delivery made it so much more painful. i sobbed reading the Halloween and Azkaban chapters. and sirius,,, like why did you have to be so angry all the time. and so obsessed with remus from day 1. it was great. although like halfway through i just felt like ... wolfstar is so basic. jegulus once jegulus forever i guess.
I'm not okay (I solemnly swear)
105k and unfinished :0 the horror. it's so sad poor reggie im so sad for him he deserves the world and more but no he's just alone 😭😭😭
whatever our souls are made of
157k hanahaki where we really gotta work for the happy ending. OML it was so beautifully sad. reggie 💔💔. sirius said nobody on the earth deserves his baby brother, but if he had to pick someone, it would be James 😭😭 I'm a broken man

State of the Planet: 2023 Edition
Here we are once again. Hours to go until the new year is upon us. Even though when you read this you may very well be in the future, it's time once again to use the few hours we have left in 2023 to take a look at the state of the planet. And...what a state it is. I said last year that 2022 may have very well been the inflection point for this decade, the moment that the 2020's truly began to come into their own. I think that's held true for this year, even though it still feels like folks are trying to find their feet in some aspects. But even in all this confusion and uncertainty, there is still progress to be had. So let's take a look back at some of the good things that happened this year:
The European Parliment commited to ending the sale of petrol and diesel fueled vehicles in the EU by 2035 in an effort to push the adoption of electric vehicles.
The High Seas Treaty was signed by the member states of the UN, this treaty commits to the conservation of 30% of the world's oceans by 2030.
The ozone hole continues to shrink, projections have it on track to recover to 1980's levels by 2050.
Finland became the 31st member of NATO.
The World Health Organization declared that COVID-19 and Monkeypox are no longer a global health emergencies.
The first synthetic human embryo was created from the use of stem cells.
The African Union became the 21st permanent member of the G20 (wouldn't it be G21 now?).
Katalin Karikó & Drew Weissman won the Nobel Prize in medicine for their contributions towards the development of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.
The FDA approved of a treatment for sickle cell disease involving the use of the gene-editing technique Crispr.
Scientists announced the ability to use AI to decode people's thoughts from brain scans.
King Charles III ascended to the throne in the UK.
Pope Francis decreed that Roman Catholic priests would be allowed to bless same-sex marraiges.
Mexico decriminalized abortion at the federal level.
Despite projections of a recession, the United States economy experienced it's biggest growth since before the pandemic, adding 2.5 million jobs and inflation decreasing to 3.1%.
Spain won the Women's World Cup for the first time in a 1-0 victory over England.
SpaceX's fully stacked Starship flew twice this year, the largest rocket to ever fly (now if only they can get it to stop exploding).
The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) was launched by the European Space Agency, it's expected to arrive at Jupiter in 2031.
The European Ariane 5 rocket flew its 117th and final mission.
India's Chandrayaan-3 landed at the Moon's south pole, the first spacecraft to do so.
Oppenheimer and Barbie released the same day in theaters and the internet had a lot of fun with that.
Michigan went 13-0 agian and won their third straight Big Ten championship (BEAT BAMA!)
The Pistons actually won a game before the end of the year.
Remember all that? It's okay if you didn't. But once again, this is where I'm at right now.
You are in the future. Every single word on this post is already confined to the history books. How you remember this year is ultimately up to you, but keep in mind that the reason I make these posts is a counterpoint to the many forces out there who have a lot to gain if everyone is under the impression that everything is always terrible all the time.
And that leads me to my word of the year. It's a bit unusual but I think it fits:
The word of the year is: Perception.
At our core, all of us are truth seekers. Whether it's objective truth or personal truth, we all want to find it. One of the benefits of the internet age that, in my opinion, gets taken for granted is that we now have more information available to us than at any time in human history. Our ancestors had to deal with incomplete and contradictory information, but now we can find out pretty much anything in a matter of seconds.
But with that information comes a host of issues. We unfortunately live in an age where a commitment to objective truth is being overshadowed by a desire for personal truth. We're putting less emphasis on what is true and more on what we want to be true. Unfortunately, as Carl Sagan once said, our preferences do not determine what is true.
And there are those who seek to exploit this. There are people in this world that are willing to alter your own perception on how things are. But not to benefit you, but to benefit them. They wish to take advantage of your desire for your own beliefs to be validated for time evermore and turn that against you, so that they can create a better world for themselves even at your own expense.
But you can stop them. All you have to do is be aware that perception doesn't always equal reality.
2024 will be a consequential year. For one thing, it's an election year in the United States which means the stakes are high enough as is. There will be a lot of consequential events over the next 366 days (yay for leap years!), and a lot of people that you've never met will be trying to tell you how to think and what to believe.
Remember that at the end of the day, the most important values are the ones you hold dear. Just because something gets a lot of engagement on your socials doesn't mean it's the best way to contextualize something. Don't allow your beliefs and values to be compromised for the sake of fitting in with trends or trying to cash in on some vague notion of importance; especially when there's people trying to exploit that at your expense.
The first step to healthy civic engagement is a body politic that is informed and questioning. It will do you no harm to read up on whatever topic is trending on the socials. It will only make you informed and then you will be able to decide if a position or a policy is truly the right one for you, based on what you hold to be important.
Knowledge can be scary at times. It may cause us to reevaluate our position, as well as come to realize that something we felt or believed or even wished to be true now has to be totally re-examined in a new light. But all that is what helps us grow, that's what helps us evolve and become stronger.
They used to tell us that "knowledge is power." I can tell you that knowledge only makes you better.
Remember these words as you head into the new year. Rather than wishing for your perception to be reality, base your perception on reality. And then those who thrive on the exploitation of ignorance will have no power over you.
Have a great New Year's Eve, friends. And I'll see you all in 2024.
Helios.

CHARACTER LIST
Top Left- Reflection of Colorless Seas (He/They) Seas is the local group senior, a first generation iterator. He does not emote very much, nor does he seem to even have many emotions. Despite this he cares deeply for his local group and only wishes the best for them
Top Right- Incomplete Unity (She/They/It) Unity is the second oldest, early fifth generation. Her structure was never completed due to severe complications with the construction process, due to this she is at constant risk of collapse. She loves her siblings deeply and often acts as a therapist for them.
Bottom Left- Mists From The Past (He/They) Mists is the second youngest, late fifth generation. He is very focused on making sure his sister, Unity, does not collapse. He creates purposed organisms to assist with maintenance and other jobs. He is not very good at socializing but he tries his best to at least be helpful.
Bottom Right- Cry of Stars (They/Them Only rarely It/Its) Stars is the youngest, a seventh generation. They are very childish and playful, unable to do much to assist others but at least wanting to add some joy to their cycles. They were not actually using their puppet most of their life and are now trying their best to get used to life.

HoloCure Item Guide
NOTE: This guide was written for 0.3.1656470021. Most items had ther effects tweaked or replaced in the 0.4 update, so this item guide is currently incomplete and inaccurate.
I still have HoloCure on the brain, so I wanted to write more advice for anyone looking for HoloCure advice on Tumblr. Having covered all eleven characters currently in the game, I figured I could either make an item guide or a weapon guide. I covered weapons more extensively than items in my character guides, for reasons I’ll get to momentarily, and I’ve talked about weapon choice a bit in my post bitching about weapon collabs, so…items it is.
The thing about items is, for the most part you’ll be fine whatever you grab. Most characters have a couple items they should try to grab (the big examples being Sana/Knightly Milk and Kronii/Body Pillow), but aside from that you shouldn’t worry too much. Like, yeah, some sets of items are gonna do better than others, but don’t sweat it if you wanted Injection Asacoco but could only get the mask or something.
Anyways, I’ve divided the items into half a dozen simple categories. They’re kinda arbitrary (like, does separating healing items from defense items make sense when they’re both meant to keep you from dying?), but the divisions make sense to me and should help me discuss the points I think they share in common. I’ll start with…
Healing
The Healing items are Full Meal, Nurse’s Horn (formerly Succubus’s Horn), and Uber Sheep. Now, Fauna excepted, there’s a limit to how much healing a character can use (generally 100% HP), so you usually don’t need more than one of these. And the more upgrades you’ve unlocked, the more experienced you are with the game, the less you need that one. But early on—before you have HP and regeneration upgrades, when you’re still getting used to strafing—you could really use a horn.
And ideally, your one healing item would be the Nurse’s Horn. It heals a bit of HP every time you defeat an enemy, and if everything comes together, you’re going to be killing a lot of enemies, especially when there are lots of enemies around (which if when you probably need healing the most). The Nurse’s Horn is a contender for strongest HoloCure item, period, and it’s certainly the best healing item.
That said, Uber Sheep is also fine. It makes food drop more often, both from enemies and from the sky. While it still drops less often than the Nurse Horn procs, each burger heals more than the Nurse Horn. Also, if you’re good at saving burgers when you’re healthy and finding them when you’re desperate, you can “store” food drops in a way you can’t with Nurse Horn procs. It’s not optimal, but it works.
The Full Meal, on the other hand, is no substitute for sheep or horns. It doubles all healing (except upgrade-shop regeneration), which…is not as helpful as it sounds. If you don’t have a Nurse’s Horn or a healing skill, it makes food heal 40% of your HP instead of 20%, which only matters if you’re below 80% and only really matters around 60-70%. If you’re getting that low on health regularly enough for that to be worth an item slot, something is probably going wrong.
Meanwhile, if you do have healing skills or a Nurse’s Horn, you’re not going to be very low on HP for very long, and the Full Meal will do even less (since all healing is 0 if you’re at 100%). I usually even don’t bother to upgrade Nurse’s Horns once I get them—5%/proc is enough for most situations—so I definitely don’t think doubling its healing is worth a slot. Sure, you’ll bounce back from Big Problems faster, which might help you if you encounter Big Problems often enough, but…
The only real use I’ve found for the Full Meal is alongside Injection-Type Asacoco and (of course) the Nurse’s Horn. ITA keeps your HP low enough that boosting the horn heals from 10% to 20% of your maximum HP is significant—it made the difference between struggling to reach a quarter health and hovering around 80-90%. There might also be some use with mildly cheesy strats that don’t need items—the Full Meal is the only item that doesn’t upgrade, which means it won’t clog up level-up options with unwanted upgrades. But aside from that? It’s useless.
All healing items are unlocked by default.
Defense:
The Defense items are Body Pillow, Headphones, and Plushie. Each protects you in a different way, with different strengths, weaknesses, and synergies.
The Body Pillow is, I think, the most broadly-useful. It provides a regenerating shield, like a second HP pool that is restored every fifteen seconds. In general, this is most useful for helping you endure attrition, taking small damage every so often (due to, say, mistakes) without access to healing, but isn’t as useful when you’re being overwhelmed.
Where the Pillow really shines, though, is protecting buffs. Many positive effects, from Sake’s crit boost to Perfection’s everything boost, can be lost from one enemy slipping past your cloud of particle effects and bumping into you. Losing Body Pillow shield does not count as damage for those purposes.
There’s one specific interaction I’d like to bring up here. It seems like the Pillow should synergize with Injection-Type Asacoco, giving you a buffer to protect your low HP. Instead, the Asacoco depletes your shield first. This isn’t nothing—the shield regenerates automatically, each time giving your HP a chance to recover—but to me, it seems less than the sum of its parts. Yet somehow I keep ending up with both of them at the same time (because they’re darn good parts).
Regardless, keep in mind what the Body Pillow protects you from. It will make your margins for error much more forgiving, especially when you have limited access to healing, but it will protect you only a little from big individual errors. Don’t rely on the Body Pillow for that.
By contrast, the Plushie is something you absolutely shouldn’t rely on, but it can serve as a get-out-of-sh*t-free card for an error of any size. It gives you a fraction of a second of invulnerability whenever you’re hit, at the cost of several seconds of reduces Attack and Speed.
If it was a smaller fraction of a second but no penalty, or if it penalized different stats, I could recommend this as a straightforward alternative or complement to the Body Pillow. But it penalizes the two stats you’ll need most to get out of a hairy situation. I’m not sure what situation this is for, or what character would run into it often enough for this to be worth a slot.
(Note that if you have both the Plushie and the Body Pillow, the Plushie won’t activate until your shield is depleted. I don’t know how this works with damage-negating effects like Headphones or Gura’s Short Height, but going only after those failed would make sense, right?)
Finally, Headphones. I’d say they’re about equally useful for preventing attrition and surviving big mistakes. When hit, they give you a chance of negating the damage and knocking all nearby enemies back. On one hand, this means you take less incidental damage; on the other hand, it also makes it easier to escape a crowd of enemies you stumbled into. It’s a well-rounded defensive option that I recommend for any character that doesn’t already have enough defense/healing items.
And that’s something you need to keep in mind! Not dying is an important part of victory, but it’s only one part. You need to defeat enemies—partly to reduce the pressure they’re putting on your defenses, but mostly to gather XP and other resources so you can keep getting stronger as the challenges grow. If you put too many resources (in terms of both item slots and level-ups) into defense, you won’t have the offense to keep up. The only perfect defense in HoloCure is an overwhelming offense (plus Nurse Horns).
Headphones and the Body Pillow are unlocked by default. The Plushie can be unlocked by surviving ten minutes as Hakos Baelz.
“Power for a Price”
The Face Mask, Gorilla’s Paw, and Injection-Type Asacoco work in more or less the same way: They give you a 30% damage bonus (which you can increase by leveling the item up), but also come with some kind of drawback.
The Face Mask is unlocked by default, the Gorilla’s Paw requires you to beat Smol Ame (the second and last “real” boss), and Injection-Type Asacoco requires you to beat Smol Ame in Stage Mode while equipped with Plug-Type or Breathe-In Asacoco.
The Face Mask is the simplest by far. You deal more damage, but also take more damage. The extra damage usually doesn’t matter much, especially if you don’t take the Mask until after grabbing your defense/healing item(s) and a few weapons, but it slims your margins for error by about a third.
Injection-Type Asacoco is another matter. It deals constant damage (without disabling “X time without taking damage” buffs, such as Sake or Phoenix Shield), but in exchange you get a big damage boost. In fact, ITA’s damage boost rises above that offered by other “Power for a Price” items—it goes up to 40/50% instead of the other items’ 35/40%. But obviously, being reduced to 1 HP is a big price!
It’s extremely powerful in the right build—unsurprisingly, one with a lot of healing. It’s great on Fauna or IryS, but not until after they pick up healing skills and ideally the Nurse’s Horn. But anyone can use it, if they have the Nurse’s Horn and are willing to (again) whittle away their margins for error.
I’ve been bringing up these “margins for error” (and “errors” in general) a lot, because I think this “error” lens is a good way of explaining what various items do for you. Defensive items let you make bigger errors without dying, while the Face Mask and ITA kill you for smaller errors. The Body Pillow lets you ignore minor errors, but doesn’t help when you’ve made a big mistake. Et cetera. And now that I’ve mostly finished the items that directly change how easy it is to die, I won’t be referencing that concept much again.
Anyways, the last “Power for a Price” item is the Gorilla’s Paw. (I don’t know who cut off Kanata’s hand, but they’d better watch out for Friend C.) It boosts base damage, at the cost of making your crit rate effectively zero (unless you invest way too many resources into bringing it back up to, like, 2%). Obviously, if you’re not interested in crits, this is basically free damage; equally obviously, if you need crits, you should stay the f&$* away.
Which brings us to the question of which characters care about crits. For this purpose, I divide characters into three categories: Crit-Hungry, Crit-Friendly, and Crit-Agnostic.
Crit-Hungry characters have skills which require a good crit rate to be effective. In order of ascending crit-hunger (by my estimates), we have IryS (who heals a bit on crits and maintains a buff by healing), Kronii (who needs to crit with her clock hands once every five seconds to maintain max Kroniicopter), and Hakos Baelz (whose CRATical Hits can deal ridiculous damage, but won’t deal much at all if they only happen 2-3% of the time). Giving any of these characters the Gorilla’s Paw would be an obvious error.
Crit-Friendly characters don’t need crits, but their innate skills boost critical hits. In ascending order of crit-friendliness, we have Calli (small bonus from the Rapper, plus a scythe-crit damage bonus during The Reaper), Kiara (Dancer bonus), and of course Ame (Detective Eye). The Gorilla’s Paw won’t cripple them, but losing critical hits will weaken them.
Finally, we have the Crit-Agnostic characters—Ina, Sana, Fauna, Gura, and Mumei. They have low base crit rates (except Mumei, who’s average), nothing that boosts them, and no special reason to care about the occasional 25% damage boost. For them, the Gorilla’s Paw is practically a straight damage boost.
Now, if only one item affected critical hit rates, it wouldn’t be worth breaking down characters by crit-friendliness. But the next category is…
Crit Rate Items
The Sake and Piki Piki Piman both increase your critical hit rate by 10-20% under certain circumstances. Unsurprisingly, these similar items should be considered under similar circumstances.
Crit-Agnostic characters shouldn’t reject crit rate items, unless they already picked up a Gorilla’s Paw, but it’s probably best not to seek them out. Keep your options for a cheap damage boost open, neh? A conditional 10-20% chance to deal +25% damage isn’t worth that much.
Crit-Hungry characters should consider whether their hunger has been sated. Baelz’s is a bottomless well of crit-hunger, but if Kronii gets one clock crit every ~4 seconds and IRyS is getting consistent heals, they don’t really need more crits. At that point, they’re more like Crit-Friendly characters.
Crit-Friendly characters don’t need to worry about saving themselves for a gorilla, but it’s worth asking how much they’d actually get from a crit boost. (This is, of course, going to depend on their current crit rate.) Remember, critical hits deal a lot less damage than you’d expect from the name, and neither of these items give constant crit bonuses.
That leaves the question of which beverage is best.
The condition for Sake is simple—don’t take damage for ten seconds. That’s something you probably want to do anyways. You’ll want to pick up a Body Pillow so you can make small mistakes without losing the buff, but other than that…play normally. It’s a good pick. (Note that damage from ITA doesn’t count as being hit.)
I’m not sure what’s up with the Piki Piki Piman, though. It provides its buff if you’ve been hit in the past ten seconds. It counts if you’re using a Body Pillow and you don’t take damage, so that’s good. I don’t know how it interacts with Headphones or other effects which “negate hits”.
I’ve never picked up the PPP—I try to avoid enemies. (I know I screw up, but I don’t think I do that every ten seconds). Maybe it’s worthwhile as a second crit booster if you have both Sake and the Body Pillow? Or just grab both items to make sure you always have one crit booster? I dunno, I’ve never tried it.
Both are unlocked by default.
Resource Boosters
These items don’t make you better at fighting enemies (directly), but instead give you more when you do. They range from helping you get stronger faster to being an in-run resource drain that basically only helps between runs.
Study Glasses are the first. They provide a bonus to XP earned—10%-30%, depending on level. Note that the Study Glasses have five levels, more than most items—you need to invest a significant chunk of XP to get the most out of these. But if you can snag glasses early in the run, you’ll more than make up the difference by the time things get tricky.
Obviously, you shouldn’t grab these glasses if you get them near the end of the game. But how late is too late? If you know the level you expect to be at the end of the game, you can roughly estimate. Figure out how many levels you expect to gain by then, and ask yourself how many extra levels you’d expect to get from an XP boost. Keep in mind that each level costs more XP than the one before it, so you shouldn’t expect more than a…I dunno, let’s say 15-20% bonus to levels earned? (I can’t find any information about how much the level-up cost increases per level, so I’m guessing.) If you expect to gain at least 25-30 levels, you’ll probably gain more bonus levels than you spent on your glasses.
If you do pick up the glasses, you’ll obviously want to upgrade them ASAP. Unless another build-critical item pops up (priorities), or you’re struggling and need to upgrade something else (in which case the glasses were probably a mistake).
The Credit Card is still mostly an in-run item, but its upgrades focus on the meta-currency angle. It increases anvil frequency by 20%, which can be thought of as a level where you can choose to upgrade any item or weapon you already have. This is obviously a handy thing to get more often! I’m not sure how handy, since nobody outside the dev team seems to know how often anvils drop.
The main benefit—and the only thing that improves by leveling up your card—is reducing the HoloCoin cost of enhancing max-level weapons. I have never touched that mechanic, but it’s probably useful for people who enhance everything to max level before dying or are less perceived-waste-averse than me. (It’s not hard.) But it seems like you’d need to work to spend more HoloCoins on anvils than you’d gain from drops, so this is mostly helpful for increasing your final HoloCoin profit.
Super Chatto Time is all about HoloCoin profit. It increases the drop rate of HoloCoins from defeated enemies. If you’re confident that you can win with one hand tied behind your back, or want to go really wild with enhancing max-level weapons, feel free. I feel like just saying it boosts meta-currency earned should tell you whether you want to grab this item or not.
All three of these need to be unlocked! You need to find an anvil (and end the run) to unlock the Credit Card, reach level 50 in a single run to unlock the Study Glasses, and end a run with 5,000 HoloCoins (including ones you held before the run) to unlock Super Chatto Time.
The easiest way to unlock akasupa time is to refund 5,000 HoloCoins of upgrades and run into shrimps until they somehow kill you. To unlock Study Glasses, invest in XP upgrades, survive, and maybe try Endless Mode. To unlock the Credit Card…I dunno, anvils are luck-based. Try praying to RNGsus.
Miscellaneous
The inevitable breakdown of any categorization system.
Knightly Milk is the very definition of a build-defining item. It increases the attack area of area-type attacks, and boosts Pickup Range a little. If you’re using lots of area-type weapons, it’s obviously a great pick! If you’re not, it’s almost useless.
It’s hard not to have some area weapons—most weapons are! (80% of Basic Weapons, 45% of Character Weapons, 60% of Collab Weapons, and a handful of skills and specials—assuming the wiki hasn’t missed anything.) But boosting the area of just a few weapons isn’t that impressive. If you grab Knightly Milk, you’ll want as many area weapons as possible. It’s just possible to have only area collab weapons (BL Fujoshi, Elite Cooking, Flattening Board, Idol Concert), which is probably ideal for a Knightly Milk build.
Knightly Milk is godly for Sana (who also gets a damage boost from it, and wants to use lots of area weapons anyways), and pretty good for Calli and Gura (who have some key area-type weapons and skills—and in Calli’s case, can’t outgrow her own skills with the Milk). I like the area-type weapons, so I like Knightly Milk. But if you prefer Breathe-In Asacoco and Light Beams and characters with no area abilities, it won’t be a good choice.
Idol Costume is a bit less variable, but it’s still character-dependent. It simply decreases the cooldown time for your Super Attack. On characters with great super attacks, like Ina or Baelz, it’s really good! On characters with redundant (Calli*), actively harmful (Mumei), or otherwise disappointing specials, it’s not worth the item slot.
*For like the middle half of the game, the only weapons Calli can’t kill with one swing of her scythe are bosses, and even after that it rarely takes more than two.
Finally, the Energy Drink. It increases your Speed—that is, your movement speed—while decreasing your maximum HP. Running faster can make it easier to avoid danger, even if you don’t notice the danger until the last second, but lowered HP obviously makes danger more dangerous. I’d say it’s a net positive, but not everyone wants to spend a slot on this specific positive.
Knightly Milk is unlocked by default. Idol Costume is unlocked by using a special attack (and then ending the run). Energy Drink is unlocked by surviving ten minutes as Calliope.
…that’s all, folks! Hopefully this is a helpful guide and not a time-wasting one!

Crimson Rose
1/5 - Altera - Clear 'Nasod Foundry' [0/1]
The lacking firepower reached its limit faster than she thought. Her condition was also not good, likely because she moved without rest. But she needed to hurry. She needed to be even more faster than now. Pushing her beyond her limits, Rose charged towards her enemy.
2/5 - Altera - Clear ‘Altera Core’ [0/1]
When Rose got in danger, Zero had to forcibly activate the Elrios Class Change System. It was <Crimson Rose>, the power to be faster and more be effective in dealing with her enemies that she wanted. With this new power Rose slaughtered her enemies without a moment to waste.
3/5 - Enter ‘Feita Village’
Perhaps it's because the class change was forced, but Crimson Rose was incomplete. Zero was also in a bad condition because of his forceful activation of the system. But there was not a moment to waste. She needed to find a way to supplement the lacking power. Rose decides to head to Feita to find her answers.
4/5 - Feita - Clear ‘Shrine of Dedication Entrance’ [0/1]
Rose heard there was a jewel shard with powerful energy. The shard was created by demons and were known to bring forth the dark side of the user, but she did not have the luxury to pick and choose. If the power is real, it will be able to supplement the incomplete Crimson Rose. Rose headed to Shrine of Dedication Entrance.
5/5 - Feita - Clear ‘Underground Capel’ [0/1]
Rose defeated all the demons in her way, and finally managed to get a hold of the shard with dark power, the Dark El. She knows this is an extreme decision, but she needed to complete the mission as soon as possible and she was willing to deal with the risks. The dark energy from the Dark El completed Crimson Rose. Though she felt stronger, she also felt her anxiety increase. Rose tightened her grip on her chain revolver. She must defeat all enemies and find a way back to the Princess.

Cooking show concept:
its a well known fact that too many cooks spoil the broth, so we can make a 2x2 grid relating "quality of broth" with "presence of cook" and it would look something like this:
. | No Cook A | Cook A
No Cook B | Bad | Good
. Cook B | Good | Bad
with no cooks, the broth is never made, so its bad, with just cook A or just cook B we get a good broth, but with two cooks the broth is spoiled, everyone knows this
now anyone whose familiar with logic gates probably noticed that this is an XOR gate!..
which begs the question, how do we convert a good broth into the presence of a cook in a later XOR gate, since this would allow us to chain logic gates
the obvious solution: Gordon Ramsay.
Gordon Ramsay tastes the broth, and if the broth is good, the cook moves onto the next round, if the broth is spoiled, no cooks move on (ofc regardless of the lack of a good broth, no cooks move on when there *are* no cooks)
unfortunately, just XOR gates arent enough for turing completeness, which is of course the goal here, so what else can we construct?
well first of all, you can make a NOT gate by just having a cook in the XOR kitchen already, so now we just need to find either an AND, OR, NAND, or NOR and we can construct everything we need using De Morgan's laws
thankfully, this is already a solved problem, Regular Cooking Shows!
if no cooks enter the kitchen, noone leaves, if theres any amount of cooks, theres always exactly one winner! this is an OR gate! We can of course reuse Gordon Ramsay for this
(note that an "implicit OR" by just letting all cooks through would "overload" later XOR gates, spoiling the broths)
now the obvious issue with this is that the kitchens cannot reused, since cooks are left behind or exit permanently, but this is fine as long as logic is purely sequential
sequential logic *is* a lot easier to deal with though, and it actually helps solve another issue - the fact that a NOT gate cook could finish cooking their broth before another cook comes in to spoil it... the solution...... Gordon Ramsay!
we give him a list of kitchens to judge one by one, and thats the order the logic gates are evaluated in, since its sequential this naturally leads to the idea of defining our logic in the same order its evaluated in, something like:
0. OR -> 2
1. XOR -> 2
2. OR -> 3
3. NOT -> out
where NOT is built as an XOR kitchen with a cook already there
so following this notation here, we would build an OR and XOR kitchen connecting to a 2nd OR kitchen, then connect the exit of that kitchen to a NOT kitchen, then the exit of that is our output, then to run the cooking show we tell Gordon Ramsay to judge the OR kitchen, then the XOR kitchen, then the 2nd OR, then the NOT!
the eagle eyed reader, however, may have noticed that this is pretty impractical...- since we cant have one kitchen output to more than one other!.. this would mean we need to duplicate all our inputs and logic at every split, which would be a pain!!!
so we want something where when a cook completes one challenge, a separate cook is allowed into a later challenge...
luckily, the solution is another cooking competition! consider this:
the kitchen is split in two with a divider, with holes for passing of ingredients, each half of the kitchen has an incomplete set of ingredients, and in the other half there is a pre-existing cook
if no cook enters the empty half, the other cook wont be able to beat the challenge, so wont be allowed through when Gordon Ramsay judges them - if the cook does enter, then both cooks win, and their respective doors open
this challenge also doubles as an AND gate if you only let one of the cooks out and have both cooks as inputs instead of having one there already!
interestingly, both the AND and OR kitchens generalise nicely to more than 2 inputs, for OR you just add more contestants, for AND you add more dividing walls
XOR generalises as only true if theres exactly one cook, but there isnt really a set way XOR is supposed to generalise
this does help simplify our notation, as we dont need to confirm that there are only 2 inputs to each kitchen
so now with all of that established, i present a full adder:
0. A -> 3 (input)
1. B -> 4 (input)
2. C_in -> 5 (input)
3. SPLIT -> 6,10
4. SPLIT -> 6,10
5. SPLIT -> 8,9
6. XOR -> 7
7. SPLIT -> 8,9
8. XOR -> S (output)
9. AND -> 11
10. AND -> 11
11. OR -> C_out (output)
like earlier NOT is built as an XOR kitchen with a pre-existing cook, SPLIT is likewise an AND kitchen with a pre-existing cook for each additional output
this means we can count the total number of cooks we need, there arent actually any NOT kitchens, but we do have 4 SPLITs, with 2 outputs each, so thats 4 cooks, and then theres at most 3 additional cooks for each of our inputs, so let's say 7 contestants
we can also count the number of rounds (perhaps call them episodes) pretty easily, since its just the number of gates (there is no parralisation) in this case its 9
these two stats would be what you would want to optimise for
given how common SPLIT is, we could simplify our notation for humans at the cost of needing a compilation step by combining the splits into the outputs of gates, like this:
0. A -> 3,6 (input)
1. B -> 3,6 (input)
2. C -> 4,5 (input)
3. XOR -> 4,5
4. XOR -> S (output)
5. AND -> 7
6. AND -> 7
7. OR -> C (output)
but be aware that for this to be a valid cooking show you need to run it through some program first to uncompress the SPLITs
its also worth noting that an AND gate going into a SPLIT is often useless, unless you need to output to more kitchens than the AND gate has inputs, you can just use the inputs to the AND gate as your SPLIT outputs, this reduces how many cooks are needed, and could be included in the compilation (along with shortcuts for NAND, NOR ofc)
none of the cooks in the cooking show need to know the layout of the circuit for it to work, and neither does Gordon Ramsay
~The Producers~ just need to give him the list of what kitchens to judge in what order - the layout and challenge type of the kitchens and the doors control the flow!
so uuh... if you ever have a lot of kitchens and a lot of cooks and a Gordon Ramsay, now you know what to do?

Sooooo I was gonna hold off until the full season was done, kinda give the TV show time to play out as an adaptation instead of being distracted by the alterations being made for this version. Because alterations are okay! I think if you're going to adapt anything from one medium to another it should be to express the content in a new way based on the different limitations & possibilities of one medium vs another. You can't do PJO [the TV show] exactly as written in PJO [the books] - it doesn't work and shouldn't be the point - and I think the show is doing a great job to consciously avoid that trap. (My personal opinions on how several first-person narrated book-to-movie adaptations have fallen somewhat flat is a post for another time.)
And so, I was planning to wait. This is a franchise I hold very dear to my heart and have cared about for more than a decade, I recognize that I will be protective about how a story like this is being shown to a whole new generation and may influence them. I wanted to see how the shifted motivations, etc would progress objectively even if I couldn't see how it would get its way back to the story I know from the book. Let this new version run its course and go from there. You can absolutely shift some things and let the narrative move on a slightly different path without losing the heart of it - it's something fanfiction has really helped me embrace despite my initial impulse to bristle at changes to the stories I love.
But I just watched ep 3 and . . . I'm frustrated.
Everything just feels so shallow?
And I want to be clear: I don't mean bad acting. There are a lot of moments where I enjoy the delivery and the emotions the cast are putting out, and their portrayal is a separate thing from what they are portraying.
I am talking about the plot & the relationships & the characterizations & jfc the PACING. I don't know how to be cohesive about this because there's so many things that just make me so apprehensive about this show hitting deep enough emotionally by the end. It is so empty at the moment and I haven't been convinced that that will change as of yet.
Without further ado, an incomplete list of my thoughts thus far:
Oh uh . . . THIS IS MADE OF SPOILERS . . . so yeah
Gabe. I genuinely do not hate - or even really care enough to dislike - Gabe? What? I just. Just how? How can that even happen? This is such a distracting point because Gabe is a character that is supposed to be fundamentally irredeemable. Full stop. So plainly a nasty, abusive, toxic, utter dirtbag that Percy making the "warding-off-evil gesture" designed for monsters causes a reaction to a mortal. He is such an integral part of Percy's (let alone Sally's) character through a good chunk of the first book in particular, and even later on in PJO & HOO Let's be real here: Tartarus smells like Gabe to Percy even after years and I don't think you could get more on the nose than that. I really just don't understand how the show can drop the ball like this. I can - and might, once the season is complete - go on a whole separate rant about Gabe, but I think I've made enough of a point for now.
Let's talk about blue food. This show has done A LOT of verbal exposition all over the place. About everything. Like maybe kinda too much at times if we're being honest. So where is the explanation for the blue food? You have this poignant Thing about Percy burning the blue jelly beans as a sacrifice bc it's precious to him and yet give 0 reason why beyond the fact that his mom gave it to him? This isn't some fun easter egg for book fans to squeal over in the background bc it's a tiny fun reference you'd only notice as a reader - this is a developed plot point that (again) is recurrent throughout PJO & HOO oh and also ties back to Gabe being a dick for no reason but moving on not to mention a specific example of the bond Percy shares with his mother specifically in the abusive environment she endures to keep him safe. I would not be surprised if they do this bit of exposition later on, but the omission really made it feel hollow.
Which brings me to Sally Jackson, our queen. I like a lot about the portrayal that's been shown so far in terms of her alone, but I really didn't feel like we were given enough to show the relationship between her & Percy. This relationship is so so SO important - and I think the show recognizes that on a surface level to the point that it's altered the plot to confirm that she's not dead from the beginning and make that Percy's openly stated motivation for the quest - and yet I feel as though we've been 'told not shown' that fact? Sally is actively present for such a short amount of time to begin with and it's therefore even more important that her significance to Percy is given sufficient weight for the audience to buy in quickly.
Something that threw me off right from the beginning was the pacing. I think I actually did a sort of shocked double take after Mrs. Dodds went down because it's, presumably, the crux of that episode and yet was a blink-and-you-miss-it kind of scene. Then again with the toilet scene! There was no real build up or follow up; it just kinda happened? It's like all the important pieces are there but nothing is being given the space it really needs, no room to breathe, no time to let the audience be drawn in to the story & it's characters. Emotional/plot beats go by so fast you hardly have time to absorb them while other scenes are longer but still empty. Percy's introduction to the Hermes cabin & the montage (which was very fun btw) of him during capture the flag come to mind in that regard. Scenes where you have time to take it in but there's not much there to take. I don't really know what to do with that I guess? It makes it hard to judge what I'm supposed to find important and that throws me off.
Maybe this is kinda still pacing, but I feel like many of the opportunities for suspense/surprise/tension have been totally missed (if not outright sabotaged). There are instances earlier, but I am still reeling from the Aunty Em scenes. I'm trying not to be stuck on "in the book" rhetoric because that's a different beast, but I really have a hard time understanding the benefit to altering the reveal in that way. Same thing with the formal announcement that Sally was not killed - Percy barely has time to grieve before being told she's alive, and any suspense that might have built by Percy mulling over her fate is ruined. Other scenes, like the Furies on the bus, feel like they have no stakes because they're dispatched so quickly. (Okay yeah this is clearly still tied to the pacing lol). There are smaller moments where I also felt the 'told not shown' rearing it's head. Places where they say something is important but don't show anything to back that up. It's like despite all the stuff about how their quest is dangerous and how dire the circumstances are, there's no actual evidence that that's true? They're in a cab and then the bus and then strolling through the woods and then killing Medusa - all with no visible damage or noticeable repercussions to them. I just haven't felt any payoff from their successes because their successes aren't made to look like actual accomplishments.
Look. This isn't the movies. I saw The Lightning Thief [movie] in theatres (quite possibly on opening weekend) and went from exhilarated anticipation going in to actually literally ranting with my friend on the way out. Those movies were barely based on the source material and that is infuriating as a fan of such a quality series. The main frustration there *was* that MANY significant things were missing and/or different from the book not to mention the flagrant disregard for the basic plot. That's not what's going on here, at least not for me.
This is disappointing in a different way because I'm (mostly) able to step back from the fact that certain moments in the book aren't being show here (looking at you, hacky sack scene) or are being adjusted for this newer version; there are elements I'm definitely enjoying for themselves, and I can see potential in some of the changes long term. I'm going to watch through because I am willing to put some faith in a wonderful cast and Uncle Rick that this will come to a place that does the story justice.
But at the moment? I'm just not there yet.

Exploring The Intriguing Impact Of Fuzzy Logic On The Advancement Of Artificial Intelligence
Tumblr media
Are you ready to dive into the fascinating world of fuzzy logic? It’s the secret ingredient behind the mind-boggling capabilities of advanced AI systems, and we’re here to unravel its mysteries. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or just curious about how machines can mimic human reasoning, this blog post is your ultimate guide to understanding fuzzy logic – the powerful foundation that enables AI systems to make complex decisions in an uncertain world. Get ready for a journey filled with captivating insights, mind-expanding concepts, and real-world applications that will leave you in awe of what artificial intelligence can truly achieve. Let’s embark on this adventure together!
Introduction to Fuzzy Logic
Fuzzy logic is a type of AI that deals with imprecise or uncertain data. It relies on a set of rules known as fuzzy rules to make decisions. Fuzzy logic is different from traditional AI in that it does not require complete, accurate data to make decisions. This makes it well-suited for dealing with complex, real-world problems.
Fuzzy logic was first developed in the 1960s by Lotfi Zadeh. Since then, it has been used in a variety of fields, including medicine, engineering, and finance. In recent years, fuzzy logic has gained popularity as a tool for machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
There are many benefits to using fuzzy logic. It is tolerant of imprecise data and can deal with complex problems. Fuzzy logic is also scalable, meaning it can be applied to problems of any size. Fuzzy logic is interpretable, meaning that humans can understand the reasoning behind the decisions made by fuzzy systems.
Despite these advantages, there are some challenges associated with using fuzzy logic. One challenge is that designing a good fuzzy system can be difficult. Another challenge is that interpreting the results of a fuzzy system can be difficult for humans.
How Fuzzy Logic Works
Fuzzy logic is a type of AI that deals with imprecise or incomplete data. It can be used to create systems that are more human-like in their decision-making.
Fuzzy logic is based on the idea of set theory, which is the mathematics of dealing with groups of objects. In fuzzy logic, sets can have partial membership. This means that an object can belong to a set to some degree, without being a member of that set completely.
For example, consider the set of all animals. A cat would be a member of this set to a high degree, since it is an animal. However, a dog would only be a member of this set to a moderate degree, since it is not as animal-like as a cat (it does not have fur, for example). A rock would only be a member of this set to a very low degree, since it is not alive and does not have any characteristics that are similar to animals.
Fuzzy logic allows for more flexibility and nuanced decision-making than traditional AI systems. It can deal with imprecise data and make decisions based on probabilities rather than certainties.
Fuzzy logic has been used in many different fields, including medicine, engineering, and finance. It has even been used to create robot vacuum cleaners that can clean around obstacles and furniture without getting stuck!
Applications of Fuzzy Logic in Artificial Intelligence
Fuzzy logic is a form of artificial intelligence that is based on the concept of degrees of truth. Rather than the traditional binary system of true or false, fuzzy logic allows for a continuum of truth values between 0 and 1. This makes it possible to deal with imprecise or incomplete data, which is often the case in real-world situations.
Fuzzy logic has been used in a variety of fields, including medicine, engineering, and even financial decision-making. In medicine, fuzzy logic systems have been used to diagnose diseases, identify potential drug interactions, and develop treatment plans. In engineering, fuzzy logic has been used to control robots and other automated systems. And in finance, fuzzy logic has been used to develop stock market trading strategies and assess credit risk.
There are endless possibilities for the applications of fuzzy logic in artificial intelligence. As our understanding of this technology grows, so too will its potential uses.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Fuzzy Logic
There are many advantages and disadvantages of using fuzzy logic. Some of the advantages include:
1. Fuzzy logic can handle imprecise or incomplete information better than traditional logic systems. This is because it uses approximate rather than precise reasoning.
2. Fuzzy logic can deal with complex problems that are too difficult for traditional logic systems to handle.
3. Fuzzy logic is more flexible than traditional logic and can be adapted to changing conditions more easily.
4. Fuzzy systems can often be implemented more efficiently than traditional systems, since they require less processing power and memory.
Some of the disadvantages of fuzzy logic include:
1. The flexibility of fuzzy logic can also be a disadvantage, since it can make a system harder to design and understand.
2. Fuzzy systems can be more difficult to debug and test than traditional systems.
3. In some cases, the use of fuzzy logic can result in sub-optimal solutions to problems, due to the approximations used in the reasoning process.
Examples of Fuzzy Logic
Fuzzy logic is a type of AI that can deal with imprecise or incomplete information. It can help systems make better decisions by taking into account the human factor.
Some examples of how fuzzy logic can be used include:
-Autonomous vehicles: Fuzzy logic can be used to create safer autonomous vehicles by helping them to better understand and react to their environment.
-Weather prediction: Fuzzy logic can be used to improve the accuracy of weather predictions by taking into account variables that are difficult to measure, such as cloud cover.
-Medical diagnosis: Fuzzy logic can be used to help doctors diagnose diseases by taking into account symptoms that are not always easy to interpret.
Conclusion
Fuzzy logic is a powerful and complex tool that can be used to create advanced AI systems. It provides the ability to represent uncertain information, making it easier to build more accurate models and make better decisions. Understanding fuzzy logic is important for anyone interested in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, as it forms an important foundation of these fields. With this knowledge, developers and scientists can continue researching new applications of AI technology while using fuzziness-aware methods to develop even smarter algorithms.

IdleOn is a relatively new game that focuses on cutting out the worst parts of modern gaming. Instead of spending time counting the money in your wallet, you can spend time actually enjoying the game without having to pay for every other weapon or item. While the gameplay loop is not too different from other RPG games where you fight monsters and collect loot, you can get to the more interesting parts of the game faster by employing characters other than your own to complete quests for you. That means that even when you're away from the game because life gets you down, you can always come back and see that you never stopped progressing. Guilds are a great multiplayer feature of IdleOn, as it lets a group of up to 210 people complete a set of goals and earn rewards and bonuses for all members of the guild. Doing the daily and weekly tasks to level up the guild is important, but it's also important to know which bonuses the best are to invest your precious time in. Here are some of the best guild bonuses to go for so that you and everyone in your guild can reap its benefits. Two is a company, three’s a crowd, and two hundred and ten people in a team is just tons of fun. And when a bonus helps the entire guild, that feels so much more special than gaining bonuses all by yourself. So, let’s take a look at the best ones! 10) Bonus GP for Small Guilds The total capacity of Guilds in IdleOn may be huge, but that does not mean that every guild is going to be that large. And in that case, your bonuses and gains are small. Fortunately, the Bonus GP for Small Guilds is a Guild Bonus that increases your total GP points if your guild has a small number of members. For example, if your guild has 11 members or less – you get 96.08% GP. And the bigger your Guild gets, the lesser the rewards become. At 60 members, the GP drops to 0 and then this bonus is useless. 9) Star Dazzle Star Dazzle is exactly what you’d expect it to be. It gives you a boost in the Star Talent (also known as Special Talents) points that you earn. The more you level it up, the more points that you’ll earn. And then, you can invest those points to get stat boosts and other kinds of bonuses. 8) Gold Charm This list of Guild Bonuses would be incomplete without something that increases the Total Drop Rate of things. After all, better loot is a win in anyone’s books no matter what their playstyle is like. With the Gold Charm bonus, you get a boost in your drop rate right away. And the more you level it up, the luckier you get. 7) Guild Gifts What good are Guild Gifts if you’re not getting a bunch of them? Even without a birthday, you deserve some special treatment. Although you do get some gifts by default, the quantity is not always that satisfactory. Fortunately, we have the Guild Gifts bonus, which raises your chances of getting an extra Guilt Gift to be added to your inventory. So, it’s very much a no-brainer to add this to your bonuses. 6) Power of Pow When we increase every other stat of our characters, it’s easy to forget about Weapon Power at times because we tend to go for the best ones that IdleOn has to offer. However, just the base WP of a weapon is not all that you can do in the game. Almost every type of stat booster in the game has at least one option that gives you a WP boost. So, when you combine something like the Power of Pow Guild Bonus with the power that your weapon already has – you end up with something very dangerous. 5) C2 Card Spotter Cards in IdleOn are a great way to gain stat boosts to become stronger, faster, and better. And if they’re passive, then they don’t even need to be equipped to do their magic. So, a Guild Bonus that increases the Card Drop Rate in IdleOn is certainly a very useful bonus to have. After all, a lot of the cards have specific requirements for dropping and it’s always a good idea to have better chances of getting them when you put in the effort.
4) Rucksack The Rucksack Guild Bonus feels like a gift from the heavens for anyone who is a fan of the RPG elements of IdleOn. It increases the total carry cap of the player, which means that your inventory gets bigger when this bonus is equipped. The more it’s leveled up, the more your total carry cap increases – which is an amazing advantage to have by your side. 3) Multi Tool Skill Efficiency is a great thing because it helps you get better at everything that you do. And IdleOn is a game that’s all about getting better at things and then doing them more efficiently – so it’s no surprise that Multi Tool is a great Guild Bonus to have. It gives you a boost to your Total Skill Efficiency, which you can then increase by leveling it up further. It’s a pretty decent boost that makes your tasks smoother. 2) Sleepy Skiller What’s better than gaining skill XP? Gaining it when you’re AFK of course. And most players are always looking for ways to make this experience faster. Fortunately, the Sleepy Skiller Guild Bonus is perfect for this as it boosts your AFK Skill gain rate. It starts off very simple, but the bonuses become too good to pass on once you max it out. 1) REM Fighting No matter how much we like fighting actively in IdleON – it’s undeniable that idle farming is incredibly fun too. It’s like coming home to a freshly cooked meal after a long day of work. And the best way to get AFK gains is having your troops fight mobs, which leaves tons of loot for the player to grab. That’s where the REM Fighting Guild Bonus comes in, which boosts your AFK Fight gain rate. The more you level it up, the more it boosts your gains, so there’s nothing not to love here. That’s all for our list of the top 10 best IdleOn Guild Bonuses that everyone should have. We hope that you found this guide helpful and let us know if we missed anything that you consider crucial. While you’re still here, make sure to check out many of our other helpful IdleOn guides too!

Top 5 Greatest Moments in Football History
Football, more so than any other sport, has a way of making the impossible seem possible. Whether it's a player scoring an impossible goal or winning a game by the skin of his teeth, football fans have seen some incredible things in recent years. Check out this sports site "메이저사이트". Even though many people think that not enough time has passed since these historic moments happened to know how they'll stand up over time, they're still worth talking about here:
1966 World Cup final
One of the most memorable moments in football history was Germany’s victory over England in the 1966 World Cup final. It was played in front of a crowd of some 127,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London and was televised live to millions around the world.
Germany went ahead through Helmut Haller on 15 minutes, but they were pegged back by Alan Ball six minutes later. Geoff Hurst had the chance to put England back into the lead when he was put clean through on goal by Martin Peters but he shot straight at Sepp Maier who got down well to save it with his feet.
The Miracle of Bern
In the 1954 World Cup, West Germany came from behind to beat Hungary 3-2. The game is often referred to as "The Miracle of Bern" and was played in the Swiss city of Bern.
Diego Maradona's 1986 goal of the century
The goal that won Argentina the 1986 World Cup was by Diego Maradona.
The ball was played through to Maradona by Jorge Burruchaga and he dribbled past five English players, including goalkeeper Peter Shilton, who was injured after a collision with Maradona.
The goal is considered one of the greatest in football history and led to a wave of popularity for Maradona in Argentina.
Lionel Messi’s unstoppable free kick for Barcelona
This list would have been incomplete without including Messi’s unstoppable free kick against Getafe in 2010. The goal had it all – drama, emotion, and a stunning finish. In the last minute of play with Barcelona trailing Getafe 1-0, Messi stepped up to take a free kick from just outside the box; his ensuing strike left goalkeeper Diego Lopez motionless before sailing past him into the back of the net. This moment was so spectacular that it became known as The Goal of Football History by many fans and pundits alike.
1998 World Cup semi-final
Of all the moments in football history, this has to be one of the best. In the last World Cup prior to its internationalization, France and Brazil met in what was widely considered a contest between two of the greatest national teams of their era. The match ended with Brazil winning by three goals to nil, but only after an own goal from Marcel Desailly and one from Zinedine Zidane had given them a 2-0 lead. Then Rivaldo scored from a penalty kick for his second goal of the game; he would later go on to say that he "dreamed" about scoring during this match as well as others throughout his career at Barcelona—so maybe there is something special about this moment after all?
Rivaldo's goal also allowed France manager Aimé Jacquet—who led Les Bleus out onto the pitch wearing a tuxedo jacket—to tell reporters afterward that it was "a good evening."
From World Cups to Champions Leagues, some of football's greatest moments happened here.
The stadium is one of the most famous in the world. It has hosted many important football matches, including the World Cup finals and Champions League finals. The stadium is also a popular tourist destination and symbolizes both the city it is in and it's country as well as being an icon of its continent.
Conclusion
These are the moments that football fans will never forget. From Maradona's famous goal to Messi winning La Liga with Barcelona, these were some of the greatest moments in football history.
