How's things on Ko-fi shops? I'm curious about people's experience with those. (No idea what tags would get this to the right places so reblogs are welcome.)
Join us this Tuesday for our first all guild meeting since clearing up the Tumblr shadowban!
Everyone and anyone is welcome; all you have to do is join/make an account on our website at indiesellersguild.org and follow instructions on this page to join our Discord and validate your account.
Everyone is welcome to speak up, ask questions, and get involved. Shy? No worries; plenty of our members contribute to these meetings via text instead of voice. Even shyer than that? Listen in! 👂
Now is the time for me to focus on my crafts and store. You'll find links to all my current listings under this, and some ideas for more—but first, some general info about me and my plans.
Hello, I'm Alex, an autistic who makes textiles with yarn and thread. The sort of things you'll find here will range from animal plushies to bags and purses to blankets to art to clothing. There will be patterns as well!
Right now, expect plushies and bags.
Due to Etsy becoming a more and more unfriendly place to be a seller, I've opted not to go that route. Right now, I'm on Ko-Fi, and I'm looking forward to help from the growing community of the #IndieSellersGuild. But this means I need to do my own marketing, which is daunting.
(Continued with links in a RB so the search function works.)
JoAnn's is closing here, which means,,, the only 'fabric' store in town will by Hobby Lobby. Because the Michaels that just opened here doesn't contain fabric...
If anyone has any good store recommendations, that would be appreciated.
Bro no joke, forgetting that not everyone hates capitalism and then having to try have a reasonable conversation with someone about buying things... *eye twitch*
Got a t-shirt on Etsy like a week ago, sent her a message 2 days ago asking if she had any idea when it would be shipped (was super nice about it and told her no rush, just curious, which is true :/ I just wanted it for a specific occasion), no response. I saw another in her store with the same price and fell completely in love with it, sent her another message apologizing for the two messages and inconvenience but if it would be possible to switch those out, emphasizing it isn’t a big deal if not. So then today she responds to my first message being like I just shipped this out. Second message directly after, she’s like sorry I just shipped out your other shirt so I can’t switch the orders now, implying she could’ve if she’d not shipped that other one out. Now normally I’m like. A very easy buyer, no issues, especially on Etsy with independent sellers. But is this like. Not super annoying
