This person says they're anti-israel and pro-palestine. They say they believe the human rights media when it comes to Israel's genocide yet they claim they're unreliable when the same media outlets point out the human rights abuses in West Papua by Indonesia.
If you only believe that countries that aren't your own are capable of breaching international humanitarian law, committing genocide, and colonisation, then your blind loyalty to your government will be your undoing.

Day 8: Giant Isopod
It had been a long time since my first expedition into the belly of the ocean, where no light can touch the floor. Every time, I am caught off guard by the overwhelming presence of the darkness, even with our vessel's light fixtures. Our goal is to catalog and confirm new species that trawling nets have managed to surface. Today, we spotted the first on our list, a scuttling, insect like thing. We have dubbed it the Abyssal Centipede, and we watched it slowly search the barren sea floor for a morsal. I decided to name her Septa, and I can't help but wonder what she might make of us.
[Prompt List]
[Previous] - Day 7: Flying Fish
[Next] - Day 9: Lanternfish

I have been inspired by your isopods. Getting these two super cool pins reminded me, they are super cute! I also plan to get some poison dart frogs in a year.
that's a cool goal to work up to!
isopods are such fun little friends, I like to sit in front of their tank and watch them like they're a koi pond.

Long Overdue Introduction
Hello, I go by Morbid! This is my bug sideblog, primarily about the animals I keep but I want to do more bug walks and practice some collecting techniques in the future. Also practicing photography, I use a TG-7, and it's my first actual camera I've owned. All pictures are mine unless otherwise noted.
I've kept a lot of different kinds of bugs, I had more a few years ago but had to go on a hiatus from the hobby. I've more recently gotten back into it. My main experience and interest is with scorpions, also experienced with isopods. I volunteer at the PDXinsectarium so I take care of other kinds of bugs that I don't personally keep.
I would love to receive scorpion pictures and questions, I also can do ID requests. If I don't know an answer I can probably find someone who does.
This is a bug positive blog!
I promise you I know that not everyone likes certain kinds of bugs. I don't care. I don't care if you have a valid reason or a phobia, I don't need to hear about it on posts I make specifically to showcase bugs I like. I tag animals with as specific an identification I can get and common names if applicable, I will also tag things as #spider, #scorpion, #beetle, ect if you want to blacklist a tag. I don't generally tag things as #arachnid, #bug, or #insect because it's very broad, nor will I tag things as #arachnophobia because it's not conductive to what I want this blog to be.
If I had one goal of what I want to accomplish with this and what I want to do, it would be to help people appreciate the bugs they have in their area, or the often overlooked bugs that don't get as much attention as things like honey bees, butterflies, and jumping spiders. You'd be absolutely amazed at what you can find in your own backyard, and I hope that I can help show people some of these animals.

HelloI am not Thinking Well at the moment This is not really gender related and if you don't respond then it is **perfectly fine**. I am just a little desperate. I won't bother you with context but I am not exactly Well due to Reasons I have a little question: Should I try and somehow love myself and do the 'mental health'-y things? or should I keep living without living just waiting to die? A) should try to be kind somehow [scary] B) should continue doing whatever I'm already doing [hopeless] C) I should stop asking people I don't know for life advice and figure it out myself - J. Lavender
I've always liked the idea of "If you're scared, do it scared" but I know that isn't always the easiest route.
I am 34 years old and do not have anything figured out right now. The only thing cementing me is everything I do on Tumblr. That makes it seem like I don't entirely care about anything else - the zine, my memoir, my YouTube channel. There's a lingering apathy there that I can't quite shake because of my lack of confidence. I wouldn't quite care if it all failed and I only had my blog left.
That being said, there is a healthier way to use indifference to your benefit. You don't have to love yourself. It's nice, but it's something that takes a lot of work and isn't something you can do first before working on everything else. So, be indifferent. Don't try to force "I love my body and I love me." Try to think of it this way - "My body gets me to where I need to be. I am someone capable of a lot of good. People enjoy my company." There's less pressure to perform in a way that you will love. Instead, your focus is on a more practical way of tolerating yourself. It's a step toward the whole self-love thing, not something to live by for the rest of your life.
Being kind doesn't have to rely on loving yourself. Sometimes it just means taking care of yourself or doing things to make your life easier. Kindness is something beyond your opinion of who you are doing the kindness for, like being kind to strangers. You don't have to love a stranger to be kind to them and either way, they are deserving of kindness. You are deserving of kindness. Take it from someone who wants to die but is too busy to do something about it: Find something that distracts you. It doesn't have to be for anyone's benefit but your own. I feed outdoor cats, I grow plants, I raise colonies of isopods, I write queer stories, and I draw. A lot of that is just for me. Find something just for you. To answer your questions:
A) Yes, but focus more on taking care of your needs than on loving yourself. That can come later with time and practice. It's only scary when you set lofty goals for yourself and try to get to that point immediately, instead of taking the smaller and easier steps to get there first. Take the first step. B) Stagnation is a cycle and it's something I struggle with. Wake up tired, worry about how my tiredness is going to affect my day, start to spiral into "What if I fail today, don't get anything done, and then my long-term goals are ruined?", do everything with a lack of confidence and motivation, go to bed feeling like a failure. You don't want to keep doing the same thing over and over. You'll want to do just one thing that can interrupt the cycle. C) Reaching out really helps, but I think reaching out without the intention of gaining life advice is the more helpful option. Just be a part of a group. Talk to people. Do something fun or interesting with someone. - 💙💚

I’m making a like 4 foot, that’s the goal, weighted isopode and it’s taking forever! Like I’m making it out of scrap fabric so I have to sew all the pieces together into a large enough solid sheet of fabric, and I’m just inpatient and want this done. And don’t want to actually work on it. Blegh

This has nothing to do with anything but I visited the Monterey Bay aquarium yesterday (absolutely amazing btw) and I had one goal in mind, “touch a giant deep sea isopod.” I was soooo excited to see one and was getting anxious when I couldn’t find em. Our last stop in the aquarium was the deep sea exhibit and at the very end there they were. Giant isopods!! They were in a glass tank and directly next to it there was a line to the touch tank of giant isopods. I was stimming like crazy because I was so excited. When it was finally my turn the woman at the touch tank said “does it remind you of anything?” And I, too happy to think said, “GIANT ISOPOD.” And she responded, “Well yes, it is a giant isopod!”
She was expecting me to say “rolley polley” because that would be an answer that made sense but my happy brain doesn’t do things that make sense.

hi hello!! welcome to our archive! the goal is to gather as many neoagabs as possible here, as well as maybe coin our own every now and then. if you don't want your posts reblogged here, let me know and i'll remove them! we add ids to every post that needs them. if i don't have the energy to do this, i will keep it in drafts until i do.
as of right now, the only tags we use are the names of the labels we reblog and any warnings they may need. i also tag any i identity with via a squid and sauropod emoji.
posting is going to be inconsistent, and we may be radio silent for long stretches of time. a post will be made if this blog ever goes out of use.
we have no dni, i'll just block anyone i don't want interacting.
(you can refer to me as ford, stan, petrichor, isopod, cetus, saturn, and/or squid! pronouns are it/its and i commonly refer to myself as we/us.)
feel free to tag me anywhere!

High time I make some more enamel pins, hey?
CREEPY CUTIES is my 6th pin project: a celebration of pet species that are often thought of as "scary" but are actually harmless. Whether you have a love for the unloved, or the spookiness is the point, or you just have a non-traditional idea of what's cute, these screen-printed hard enamel pins are for those of us whose pets are just a little different.
Initial funding will cover 3 designs: ball python, domesticated rat, and jumping spider. Additional funding will unlock up to 7 stretch goals including orchid mantis, Pac-Man frog, rubber ducky isopod, and more!
This project is part of Pintopia 2! Debut pinmaker Oleander and I will each provide a guest pin design for each other's campaigns. If both campaigns are fully funded, everyone who pledges to both campaigns for a physical reward will receive both guest pins FREE!
NB: The images in the hero image are teasers, NOT the final designs. The actual pins will be detailed and colorful!
Click here to get notified when it goes live!

LESS ELDRITCH SHIT GOING ON AROUND HERE SINCE ISOPOD MORTY AND MURT BECAME FRIENDS. ALL THEY DO IS GO OUT AND COMMIT ACTS OF EXTREME BLOODSHED. YOU CAN'T EVEN CALL IT TERRORISM ANYMORE. TERRORISM IS FOR A REASON, A POLITICAL END GOAL. WHAT THEY DO IS BEYOND ANY REASON. IT'S JUST MURDER AFTER MURDER. DESTRUCTION AFTER DESTRUCTION. THEY'RE BEING CALLED THE HARBRINGERS OF THE APOCALYPSE IN MY DIMENSION. THERE'S SO MANY FUCKING PEOPLE DEAD. ENTIRE PLANETS ARE CONSUMED IN THEIR HELLFIRE. GALACTIC ORGANIZATIONS ARE SCRAMBLING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO STOP THEM--- A FUTILE ENDEAVOR. THEY WILL KILL, AND KILL, AND KEEP KILLING UNTIL EVERY SHRED OF LIFE IS PURGED FROM THIS UNIVERSE. THEN, THEY WILL MOVE TO THE NEXT. I THINK THEY'RE A REAL GOOD POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON EACH OTHER. MURT'S BEEN SO MUCH CALMER SINCE HE GETS HIS ENERGY OUT NOW, AND ISOPOD MORTY IS SO HAPPY TO FINALLY HAVE A FRIEND. LOVE THE LITTLE GUYS. SO PROUD OF THEM.

ive been planning bioactive enclosures for all my different reptile set ups along with some additional decoration i might throw together for fun/animal enrichment. their tanks have been in need of a deep clean for some time. id like to cohab them with a clean up crew, springtails at least. not sure what i want to do for plants, im so afraid of killing them :| but i also havent tried to raise any plants since i was a kid. im super interested in having an isopod colony and maaaybe cohabbing them? idk i was having trouble finding anyone with first hand experience in doing that and i didnt want to be the first to try it! id really like to branch out into invert keeping in general, and a lot of the ones that i have as a goal someday (interested in longer lived arachnids like ts and vinegaroons) need feeders so ive been thinking about raising some. i LOVE dubia roaches, theyre very cute, im just not sure if thats reasonable for my current collection size, i think i will very quickly get more roaches than i could use. i hate keeping crickets so much. im sorry crickets. youre very smelly. mealworms seem pretty reasonable and also beetles are cute.
