David is covered in stretch marks from having a big growth spurt as a teenager.

Darlin’ has a leg that is just slightly shorter than the other one, it is unnoticeable by anyone but them.

Milo’s teeth are slightly messed up to the point he had to go to speak therapy for a year.

One of Angel’s eyes is farther down than the other one.

Babe has stretch marks on their knees.

Sweetheart has a slightly shorter finger on their left hand, Milo noticed it immediately after holding their hand.

I have a feeling that Babe was really nervous about integrating into the pack since they were unempowered and (depending on if you think Angel came before them or not) was the first unempowered mate or was the newest unempowered mate.

So how did they cope with this? By having a notebook full of all the little things they learned about the pack and its mates.

Pages are scattered and random, just scribbled notes whenever they hear something.

For example:

Sweetheart knows...at least two languages. Maybe more. Further testing required. Spanish was expected. Korean was not.

Pretty sure Sam only owns flannels. Definitely sure that it drives Milo crazy.

Darlin used to have a smoking habit. Doesn't like to talk about it. Probably something to do with Quinn. Still coughs like a smoker though. And carries a lighter.

David chews on his lip when he's thinking, bites his nails when nervous. Remember the difference.

Milo owns a cat!! Calls him Aggro, no idea if that's his full name or just a nickname.

Darlin does tricks with their lighter when bored. Stresses David out, thinks they're going to catch a spark on their jacket and light themself on fire. To his credit, I wouldn't be surprised if that did happen.

Angel is the last to fall asleep at sleepovers. How they stay up until 3 AM then wake up at 8 being fully refreshed is worth scientific testing.

Sweetheart makes the most intense eye contact. Probably part of their investigator training but it's a little scary.

Milo judges everyone's outfit whenever they enter the room. Every time. Quick flick up and down. Head tilt if he approves. Eyebrow twitch if he doesn't.

Sam's house has no pictures of him from before the turn?? Is that a normal thing for vampires??

Angel doesn't know how to sit in a chair normally. Shocked they don't break something with some of their positions.

•Milo and Sweetheart definitely woke up earlier than the two

- because Milo was fucking nervous af

-Sweetheart probably figured that out and knew he’d panic

•Asher definitely set his timer like 5 or 10 mins earlier than needed because he knew he’ll hate the alarm even when its his big day.

•Sam and Darlin definitely promised each other to be the bestest best man and maid of honor even if it means spilling a whole bottle and knocking someone out if they even tried to ruin the wedding.

•The car ride for the mates was all about talking shit about the others. I feel like they’d also have a moment sharing to Sweetheart and Darlin all the things they’re excited for and then Sweetheart and Darlin would just be so proud of them and of Asher and David

•Angel and Babe having a moment just sharing to each other how excited they are and just how much they mean to one another too.

•Milo or Sweetheart would definitely pull the other somewhere and do a little ‘I do’ moment too with vows and stuff (I feel like Angel would see them and wait until they got it out of their system before screaming out “I’d do you too” to Sweetheart…)

honey likes to wash guy's hair in the shower, even after he makes several dirty shower jokes, because he goes quiet and enjoys it a lot more than they know he'd admit when they touch his hair.

elliott, when sitting beside sunshine, will squeeze their hand every so often. he always gets a squeeze back. the two always giggle to themselves when this happens.

asher has a lot of scars on his hands, whether that's from reckless behaviour or whatever else. babe used to avoid touching them, not knowing if he'd like it or not, but once they unintentionally ran their finger over the uneven skin and found it pretty theraputic to do. he's noticed they've started doing this a lot now, and likes it a whole lot.

as much as his spouse continues to tell him he doesn't have to, james loves to get them flowers. doesn't matter the day, the current season, or the holiday- if he's home late or feels like it, he's getting flowers.

sam subtly checks that darlin has enough food to the last the week, every week, just in case. they've been doing better at making sure they have enough for themselves, and he trusts them well, but it's become habit at this point.

in public places, avior holds onto starlight's arm or hand, making sure he's touching them or able to see them. he doesn't want to lose them again.

blake doesn't enjoy looking at himself in the mirror unless bestie is also seen in the reflection.

every so often gavin finds himself tracing over freelancer's features again and again, not wanting to forget them. they let him do this as much as he wants, always noticing a forlorn expression on him when he does.

vega's expression would always soften when he looked at warden. they noticed it the closer it got to his end. sometimes, it almost looked like he wanted to cradle their face, but they don't know that for sure. they couldn't ask him now even if they wanted to.

His ears. Definitely his ears. HE JUST FOLDS IMMEDIATELY. Out of him, Milo and Asher, his whines are more growl-like. When David wants to be pet, he flops at Angel's feet and doesn't look at them, but his ears move towards them (if that makes sense) to signal that he wants pets. Very rarely, Angel will manage to get a tail wag from him.

Asher -

His belly. Soft wolf belly, Babe scritches a certain spot and his leg is kicking like no tomorrow. When Ash wants these nice scritches, he flops on his back, stares INTENTLY at Babe who is like 🧍🏽‍♂️, and his tail is wagging. Babe tries to ignore him for funsies but next thing you know, there's a giant wolf sitting on their legs with his head on their thigh like 🥺. Once given said scritches, he makes a weird noise like foxes do. He's a little weirdo /affectionately.

Milo -

Chin. Little fluffy chin. His head turns to the left then to the right automatically when Sweetheart scritches his chin. He also leans into their hand like 😌😵‍💫. He LOVES it. Will definitely admit it, he has no shame. He also likes his neck being scratched and rubbed at. If Milo wants pets, he will follow Sweetheart around the house and literally put his paw on them to get their attention, and make little noises. Side note - he loves to chase Sweetheart around the house when they're cloaked 💜💛.

Darlin' -

50% of the time they like scritches but they just LOVEE soft pats and rubs. Loves it when Sam holds their snout and runs his thumbs over their eyes, it's just so soothing. Weirdly likes it when Sam does that dad thing where he pats their belly/torso with a flat hand like a watermelon.

sometimes asher smiles at pack members a little too wide for a little too long, and babe feels their chest swell with… something. 

they wouldn’t call it jealousy because what would they have to be jealous of. asher isn’t the guy to cheat, he would never. but even then, even knowing that, there’s still this voice in the back of babe’s mind thinking, “well, maybe he would.” and the spiraling begins.

after all, babe is just a human. its not like they run in pack races or know what shifting feels like or can have meaningful inputs in conversations regarding magic. this isn’t a world they grew up in, but for asher, milo, david, darlin’, and the rest of the pack; its home. for babe, it's just a house. and because of this, babe has more than once found themself just sitting in on pack meetings and smiling and nodding and waiting for asher to look back at them. 

and sometimes he doesn’t. instead he just talks and smiles at childhood friends he has deep histories with. histories that are so complex and rooted in who asher is that babe wonders why he chose to be with them and not someone else. and that swelling feeling comes back and they have to excuse themselves because god forbid they make a scene. that’s not babe’s style, they prefer to suffer in silence.

babe loves asher and they know asher loves them. but asher loves everyone and everything and it’s hard for babe to figure out where his love for them stands compared to his love for everyone else.

Angel is Saudi Arabian, probably born and raised for a few years in Saudi before moving to the states. Despite being raised in a VERY ethnic family, they still turned out very American.

Babe is Mexican, was born and raised in the states with parents who immigrated young. They struggle to connect with their culture, and doesn't speak a whole lot of Spanish but they do like to practice with SH and Darlin.

Sweetheart is Dominican, born and raised, moved to the states near adulthood. Still struggles with english a bit and prefers Spanish when conversing with Milo and Darlin. They have a heavy Dominican accent!!

Darlin' is Mexican, born and raised in Mexico before moving to the states as a teen. Learned english relatively fast with the help of Milo, Asher, and David. Has an accent, but not as heavy as Sweetheart's, it's barely noticeable.

Lovely is Black, and grew up on the west coast. They used to live right on the ocean and loved to surf.

Freelancer is Filipino, born and raised. Lived in the Philippines right up until D.A.M.N. They're the first and only of their family to leave the Philippines.

Dear is Indian, despite their family having lived in the states for generations, their connection with their culture has always been strong. They LOVE attending family events.

Cutie is mixed Black/White, was born in America, and a predominantly white family.

Honey is Brazilian, born and raised in the states but is relatively in touch with their culture. Their parents are the only ones of their family to immigrate, so Honey goes to Brazil quite often. Took Guy to Brazil once and he loved it.

David is Taiwanese.

Asher is mixed White/Vietnamese.

Milo is Nuyorican, his family had already been in New York for a few generations before he was born, his generation wasn't very involved in the traditions growing up— so he's a little more American than Puerto Rican in terms of culture, but he still speaks spanish like a champ, him and Sweetheart typically speak spanish to eachother.

Sam is my beautiful white princess, contrary to popular belief— i think he's from the midwest region of the states, NOT the southern states. I'm right ur wrong... signed, a southerner :3

- Jumps onto furniture like a cat when they get scared, hissing at the thing that scared them has happened more than once.

- Loves when Milo gets out of the shower, helping him get ready for bed. Because they like that he lets them around when he's vulnerable.

Darlin'

{Also one of my favorites top Three along with Sweetheart}

-Military Dad, divorced parents, friends with the boys for years. Always cries on Gabe's death anniversary because that's the only good Father figure they had.

- Left for college at an Arts school met Quinn when their Dad had basically disowned them for not wanting to stay in Dahlia with him. Hence the Daddy Issues.

- Has called Sam Daddy once by complete accident, it was one of those joking things and immediately got Sam turned on, they both learned things that night.

- Likes to paint on the porch, watching the sun set and rise to relax. Sam has had to pick them up and bring them to bed because they fell asleep painting in the sun.

- Likes when Sam showers with them. They like washing his hair and making sure he relaxes makes them feel at ease.

Freelancer

- Has hidden themselves behind the large stacks of chips at Costco as a child.

- Prefers the blue candy to the red candy at stores.

- Has made Gavin carry them after sex because they like being close to him, and they get princess treatment.

- Dances around the apartment while Gavin cooks, because they like making him laugh as they try to do the Tiktok dances.

- Likes when Gavin's hands are ein their hair, it brings them comfort

Lasko's S.O.

-Likes cold sweets, definitely eats an ice cream cone during a snow storm.

- Likes seeing Lasko in charge so they watch him do paperwork so they can stare at his RBF without being noticed.

For David I definitely see him having roughly shoulder length hair in his younger years pre Gabes death so they could match because he always looked up to him and took pride in people saying they looked alike

However after his death I can definitely see him finding it too painful to look in the mirror and see his father staring back at him so he began to consistently cut his hair much shorter in a buzz cut style to create as much distinction as possible

After the inversion and the hectic months that followed I definitely see him being too overwhelmed to keep up with meticulously cutting his hair (he had so much else to worry about) that he didn’t even notice until one day he was cuddling with Angel after a long day drifting almost to sleep when he notices them playing with the ends of his hair and they say “your hairs gotten so long it suits you so well” and David can’t help but smile as he drifts off in their arms

+ Bonus Darlin

I think Darlin also was someone who had longer hair most their life but after leaving and going with Quinn they cut their hair short at least to jaw

When asked they’d say it’s so Quinn had easy access whenever he needed a quick fix but in reality it felt like the only thing they still had control over

I HC darlin and David as cousins so I think they would also suffer a similar issue that with their hair grown out their simply reminded too much of what they left and getting rid of it is the easiest way to dull the empty feeling but now that they’re free they definitely have started to grow it back without even realising

Sam

Sam was definitely one of those kids that were super light blond as a kid but their hair darkened with age except in Sam’s case it started reversing back to blond simply because of how often he spent days in the sun (I also think that’s how he got his freckles)

And after years of being unable to go out in the daylight those are his only reminders of how much he loved the sun

Also he definitely has a shaggy mullet

Milo

Milo has meticulously taken care of his hair since he was old enough to take care of it himself to the point that Marie had to hide her expensive oils because he would put too much on whenever he’d go out

I’d say he’s probably the most dedicated to keeping himself on top of self care (David is a solid second)

That man has naturally loose curled hair and because he doesn’t keep it very long he always makes sure to have a strategic curl hanging on his face

Milo and sweetheart definitely spend weekends piling each others hair before they shower together as a little couples activity

Babe (+Asher)

To me babe has braids and I will not let anyone fight me on that

They used to keep them in their natural colour until one day they asked Asher what colour they should do and he joked about going blond to match him and they’ve used the same colour ever since

Lasko

Lasko was definitely born with black hair and maybe it was hereditary or maybe it is all stress but that man started turning grey the second he left home

He had his guest grey hair at the ripe age of thirteen and it’s been going down hill since then

At first he was probably really self conscious about it but he’s definitely embraced it fully now especially with how often dear comments how cute it is

Anton

Anton is the type of person to not care too much about his appearance like he was the type of kid who had a bowl cut growing up because who cares about what he looks like when his mind is what actually represents him right?

He wasn’t a slob but he was neglectful at times and it wasn’t until he’d first met his partner did he ever feel the need to fix up his hair to the point where it became a twitch whenever he’d think of them
