It’s my one year anniversary at work and I keep getting sappy and sad and teary thinking about how this time last year I was unemployed because I got fired due to disability and I was burnt out and tired and sad and I should’ve been institutionalized but my therapist and psychiatrist knew that I would lose Bailey if they put out an involuntary code for me so they agreed not to do that if I checked in with each of them every day to inform them I was alive!!! And I was at risk of losing my housing and having to leave Pennsylvania and this little home I’ve made for myself!!!! And I was tired and sad and in a really bad place!!! And people from tumblr helped me make sure that I was able to keep my therapist and psychiatrist and medication during that time as well!!!! And I wrote a book!!!!! And all of that saved my life and now I’m celebrating one year at this job that I love where I get to ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are treated with kindness and respect but also it’s everybody’s kindness and respect on here that let me get to this position to do these things and, wow, THANKS GUYS, WE MADE IT AND I LOVE YOU!!!!

Thinking about Naruto again brings to mind an old AU. I probably posted about it but fuck it here we go again:

Alright so an OC who is a mission bastard (one parent totally was a ninja) moves to Konoha with her dog. Said Dog is just like the chillest fucking dog and actually is a bastard summon/nin dog. It can talk but it prefers not to.

OC is probably an Akimichi cause they love food, are chubby and open a bakery. As such the clan adopts them even if they aren’t sure cause god that’s their cousin.

But anyway: dog. The dog goes off and then comes back pregnant. Originally I had the dog the father of the puppies but mother works better.

Dog gives birth to a litter of 12 puppies all which seem… strange. Turns out nin dogs tend to only be born one by one unless someone is destined for multiple dogs. But there’s also something else: a pack. A pack occurs when one litter has multiple nin dogs and then multiple people get the dogs. They’re all destined for someone.

I think you see where I’m going.

Imagine our OC, carrying a basket of puppies who were recently weaned, following her dog down the street as the dog hunts down its puppies partners. The dog finds Kiba, who is upset no nin puppy seems to like him.

Not for long. Here have a puppy kiddo and help me find the others.

Off they go and they hand out all the puppies. Konoha laws say anyone whose part of a pack with an Inuzuka is instantly part of the clan. So… yeah.

Some don’t mind. Some DO MIND. Most the Hyuuga and the Uchiha.

Naruto is just thrilled he gets to hang out with feral kids like him while Tsume cackles she got the kid now fuckers, watch her make Kushina’s kid a terror.

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.

LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.

Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.

The secret Dungeon Meshi sauce that's getting people to eat better is that it's so non-judgmental. Senshi and the rest of the gang never talk about what not to eat besides things that taste bad and literal poison. They don't even talk about "health" that much besides the importance of a balanced diet. It's so much easier to eat well when you think of food simply as something your body needs, and that it's often worth the extra effort to make it taste good, especially when you understand how to connect "things your body needs" with "things that taste good"
