I've been cooking a lot lately and I have really discovered the joys of vegan recipe sites. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't like the taste of eggs or milk or most types of cheese and I'm lactose intolerant, so while I'm not giving up the occasional pizza when it comes to cooking myself I tend to find things on vegan sites waaaaay more appealing than vegetarian or omnivorous sites. I made the most amazing dish tonight and it called for cashew cream and it was my first time making that and it was sooo good. It made the dish really rich and creamy without the gross milky flavor in actual cream based dishes and without upsetting my stomach. I feel like I have solved the secrets of the universe lol.

Happy Batman Day to all who celebrate this little bitch of a man. 🙏
Sketched this on a friend’s iPad like a year ago when I was reading Batman: The Cult and…never posted it.

He can play any trick with a cork
Or a spoon and a bit of fish paste
If you look for a knife or a fork
And you think it is merely misplaced
You have seen it one moment and then it is gone
But you'll find it next week lying out on the lawn! /lyrics to "Magical Mister Mistoffelees"
(slowly cleaning out all the art i drafted but never posted) i was watching the Mr. Mistoffelees performance from the 1998 recording of Cats, and all i could think about was moon dancing about like misto with his signature light-up jacket.

i think theres a deep uncanniness to luke skywalker. i think that even before he was trained there was just this eeriness about him. maybe sometimes the sand would part for him to walk through. maybe sometimes he pulled off maneuvers that were physically impossible or survived crashes unscathed when they shouldve killed him. maybe sometimes hed answer questions before you asked or look into your eyes and read your soul. maybe sometimes hed glow brighter than the suns and singe the air around him. maybe hed make the hairs on your neck stand up. maybe his smile would melt and the primal part of your brain would start screaming that youve just awoken a predator.
the skywalkers are all incredibly powerful but unlike most force sensitives they arent going to lose their strength if theyre untrained because the force is literally Part Of Them. i think if left alone it would fester in little moments that leave you unnerved, make you want to keep your distance. but at the same time theyre so good and captivating that you cant help but want to be closer

decided to join in on @quezify’s eggtober again this year as a little art warmup and I actually ended up really enjoying it!! it’s obviously way outside of my usual comfort zone so I’m very happy that I was able to create an end result that I’m proud of :)

Hi Eret! I was at Tommy's show tonight and I just wanted to say that I'm so, so deeply sorry if us in the vip section pointing you guys out caused you or any of the other ccs there any trouble. It was absolutely amazing being able to see you though, even from the first floor. I hope you still enjoyed the show!
No worries! Let me explain how it was from our perspective
I was invited to TommyInnit's LA show last night with some other creator friends (e.g. Slimecicle, Ted Nivison, RubberRoss, and more). Security tried to make sure that we wouldn't get swarmed, so they brought us in at the back of the theatre and took us away for the intermission.
We were brought back a bit early for the start of the second act. All the lights were still on, and when one person saw us and shouted our names, everyone else started turning around!
It was so sweet to see how excited everyone was! But I did definitely appreciate that the security was on top of it to prevent it from getting too rowdy! I hope you enjoyed the show!

tbh my latest biggest theory for why HoO and onwards is such a dramatic drop in quality and consistency is just. Rick stopped making teaching guides.
Like, the Lightning Thief teacher's guide is SUPER in-depth with even stuff like sources about middle grade child psychology and exact specifications of where he's applying that, explaining what different character's goals/motivations are, their dynamics with each other and their environments, etc etc. Even specifying which specific myths certain plot elements are supposed to reference or be about.
That stuff just doesn't exist for later books. There's activity guides and smaller, significantly more simple teacher guides for later books but they don't go into anywhere NEAR the same level of depth. The TLT one is a full lesson plan that breaks down the book at every level and explains what's going on and more or less why Rick did that. The others are all basically just glossaries of terminology and some simple question guides.
And they didn't even use the TLT teacher's guide for the Disney+ show because they clearly aren't adhering to any of what's discussed in that breakdown of the book.
By creating a teaching guide alongside writing the actual book, that's forcing you to document what you're doing, why, your sources, and information about your characters and the story they're in. It's like an even more in-depth version of a series bible. But that's lacking for later books (and etc) and it shows because that level of thought and depth and attention just isn't there anymore.

This is dope and also a good reminder that opinions from folks on the internet, however loud, are generally not reflective of how the general audience is receiving a show/movie (so showrunners should stop focusing so much on trying to impress Reddit specifically!)
