A/N: Awh you didn’t ask for too much at all my lovely anon, I hope this is okay for you sweetie!! First post back and I’m super nervous

CHAN:

It wasn't your first tattoo but it was the first tattoo in the place that seemed to be driving your boyfriend completely wild at just the first look at it. When you'd told Chan that you were going to get a tattoo he hadn't seemed that bothered by the news, that was until right now as he was staring at you from behind. 

"What do you think?" You questioned, slowly turning your head to glance over your shoulder at your boyfriend who appeared to just be staring down at the tattoo in complete silence. Worry began to wash over you as you instantly went to the worst-case scenario and that he hated the tattoo or that something was spelt wrong. It was the lyrics to one of his songs, one that you held close to your heart and Chan knew that which was why his feelings were so conflicted right now. 

"Is it spelt wrong?" You quizzed as your voice came out a little shaky, gently lowering your shirt when Chan's hands encased yours, keeping your shirt held up at your lower back.

"It's perfect," He breathed out, his heart hammering rapidly against his chest so much he was afraid it was about to burst right out of his chest. The tattoo was incredible and he almost felt guilty for the fact that instead of being completely and utterly in love with the lyrics he was busy picturing something else.

"So..." You trailed off, waiting for the other pin to drop since it sounded as though there was meant to be a "but" at the end of his sentence,

"I'm just imagining what it's going to look like when I'm fucking you from behind," He admitted, his ears beginning to burn a bright red as he realised he'd blurted the words out loud. Butterflies began to swarm all over your entire body as you thought about what he'd just said,

"Then I guess it better hurry and heal so you can make your imagination come true," You smirked, spinning around in his arms and wrapping your arms around the back of his neck, pressing your chest flush with his as he shivered a little.

MINHO:

Minho hadn't shown much interest when you told him that you were going to get a tattoo, in fact, he'd almost completely forgotten about it until you came home wearing a skirt. Not that was something completely un-ordinary for you but something he found odd when watching you from the kitchen. For the last five minutes, you'd been shifting uncomfortably with your legs spread, appearing as though you were trying not to itch your leg.

"Can you pass me an ice pack and a clean tea towel?" You called out to your boyfriend while you sat on the sofa, your feet were up on the coffee table in front of you spread slightly apart. You knew how itchy tattoos could be but for some reason, the one on your inner thigh was the worst itching sensation you'd come to deal with and you knew a cooling pad would help a lot. Minho arched his brow but did as was requested of him, slowly making his way over to you when the reason for the ice became clear, his pants began to grow tighter as he eyed up the ink on your leg.

"What?" You giggled watching in amusement as Minho suddenly sank to his knees in front of you, the sight was funny, to say the least as he sat directly between your legs admiring the inkwork. 

"Was this the tattoo you were getting?" His voice barely came out above a whisper as his fingertips gently caressed over the skin of your inner thigh and stared at the design you'd had done.

"Obviously baby," There was a shake to your voice whenever his fingers trailed a little too high on your skin. Minho knew that your thighs were one of your weakest points but he just couldn't help himself, not when it looked this good.

"How long until I can bury my face between your legs?" The comment caught you completely off guard as your skin began to burn at the thought of it all. You squirmed a little on the spot and looked down at your boyfriend who began to kiss your other thigh, biting and nipping on the skin as you let out a small whimper of his name.

"I-It's probably fine to do right now," You admitted, the itching of the tattoo completely fading from your mind as you gave in to the tender kisses on your legs from your boyfriend.

CHANGBIN:

This was supposed to be a surprise for your boyfriend but that was completely thrown out when Changbin walked into the bathroom to find you changing the film that covered the tattoo on your arm. The shop had given you instructions to keep it wrapped for the first four days and after that, you were free to remove it but keep the tattoo moisturised as much as possible to help the healing.

"Haven't you heard of knocking?" You teased Changbin softly as he stared down at your arm, barging into the bathroom while you were in here was nothing new, you really should learn to lock the door. The tattoo was on your upper arm and you knew realistically you wouldn't be able to hide it for long but you thought you could have at least held out until it was healed before revealing it to him.

"You didn't tell me about this," He gasped out, his hands gently holding your arm as he turned it slowly to get a good look at the tattoo. He'd be lying to himself if the sight of you inked up wasn't making all of the blood in his body rush to his cock as he stared at it he wasn't sure what the big deal was, he'd seen tattoos on people a million times before but there was something about it being on you that drove him restless. 

"It was supposed to be a surprise," You giggled a little, watching as your boyfriend's eyes continued to drink in the appearance of the ink all over your arm. It wasn't anything huge but it was something you'd been planning to get for a while, something that held very special meaning to both you and Changbin. 

"Do you like it at least?" You questioned since he was being deathly silent on the matter it worried you that he thought it was too much or maybe he found it stupid. 

"What do you think?" His voice dropped in tone as he nodded down to his sweats, your eyes slowly began to travel down until you saw the tent that he appeared to be pitching. Your throat ran dry as you realised that your boyfriend was hard all because of a simple tattoo.

"A tattoo did that?" You laughed nervously,

"No babe, YOUR tattoo did that," He whispered huskily, his lips slowly finding their way toward your neck as he began to leave sloppy kisses up and down your bare skin nipping and sucking whenever he could.

"Damn, what are you going to do when I get more?" You laughed nervously, letting out a small squeal as he wrapped your left leg around his hip and ground himself against you.

"I guess you'll have to get some more and figure that out yourself," He answered cockily, going back to kissing down your neck while you let out soft whimpers of his name.

HYUNJIN:

Tattoos on you had always driven Hyunjin over the edge, there was just something about them that always turned him on when it came to you. It wasn't as though it was like that for everyone, only you. Even now the small whimpers and whines you would let out whenever Hyunjin let his hands massage the cream into your skin weren't doing his imagination any favours. Ever since you'd come home with your latest addition to your skin, Hyunjin had barely been able to keep his hands to himself, wanting nothing more than to touch you as much as he could. When you'd asked him to help apply some cream to your back he practically flew out of his home art studio to come and help you.

"That's so nice," You moaned out as his hands softly rubbed the cream into the freshly-inked skin making your body completely relax against his touch. You'd only asked him to apply a little cream, not an entire backrub but it appeared as though Hyunjin was down to make you completely relax with him.

"You should get more tattoos," Hyunjin whispered to you, his lips finding their place on the back of your neck while his hands slowly came to a stop and you let out a grumble in protest. 

"Why'd you stop?" You questioned, slowly craning your neck to be able to look at him only to find him staring at you with a darkened look in his eyes.

"I figured my hands would be much more useful somewhere else," He whispered seductively, his hands slowly running up the innards of your thigh as you let out a small breath of realisation. Your entire body was on fire the moment you realised what he was hinting at and you giggled to yourself,

"Oh? Is that right?" You slowly turned so that you were sitting up and facing him as he smirked back at you, two seconds away from kissing you into a frenzy.

"Only if you want to," He told you, slowly inching himself closer to your body before you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him.

JISUNG:

Jisung had been there while you were getting your tattoo done and you'd never seen the man act so strange before. Every minute he was shifting in his seat, blushing whenever you caught him staring at your thigh and whimpering when the tattoo was finally completed. Even after you'd paid the lady behind the counter he was rushing you out of the shop and in the direction of the car.

"I thought you wanted to go and look for the new manga you were wanting," You laughed nervously wondering what the big rush with getting you into the car was. The two of you had planned to go shopping after your tattoo but it appeared as though that option was no longer on the table.

"That was before," He whispered, unlocking the car so quickly he was almost dropping the keys onto the floor. In all the time you'd been dating you couldn't think of a time you'd seen Jisung this much in a rush about something, his hands were shaking and he appeared to look around nervously.

"Before what?" You raised your eyebrow as your boyfriend took you into the back of the car instead of the front and he laid you down on the seats. It began to click in your mind what exactly he was doing and you couldn't help but feel a little ego boost from it all,

"Before I got so horny I was ready to fuck you in that damn tattoo chair," He breathed out, shutting the door as he began to kiss you like a man starved. His lips crashed against yours hungrily, biting and sucking on your bottom lip while his hands ran down your waist, attempting to untuck the shirt from your skirt as you giggled against his lips.

"Slow down there cowboy," You pressed your palm against his chest and shook your head, there was absolutely no way you were about to have sex in the middle of a car parking lot in broad daylight.

"Let's get home before you start dry humping my leg like a needy pup," You said, sliding out from under him and getting out of the car to get back into the driver's seat, listening to your boyfriend whimper in protest.

FELIX:

Though Felix had never voiced what your tattoos did to him, it didn't exactly take a genius to figure out that they turned him on. Just last week you'd gotten another one added to your body and Felix had barely been able to leave you alone for more than 20 minutes at a time. Even now when you were supposed to be having a gaming night with his friends he was sitting with you right next to him,

"If you're not careful I'll be sitting on your lap next," You teased him as he attempted to pull you even closer to him. He didn't care that his friends were in the room, your tattoos were on display and all he wanted to do was take you into the bathroom and show you how much he adored them.

"That's not a bad thing," He whispered in your ear, not missing a beat as he bit down on your ear lobe and let out a small whimper when you scooted away from him. There was a time and a place for him to act needy toward you and this was neither,

"We're at your friend's place," You laughed, sliding a cardigan on to cover up the tattoos on your arms not that it was going to do much to sway him when he'd already laid eyes on them.

"Then let's go home," He was completely serious about it too but you shook your head at him, going to get another drink from the kitchen and letting his friends tease him for how needy he was acting toward you.

SEUNGMIN:

Those who assumed that Seungmin was quiet and laid back in the bedroom clearly hadn't been friends with your boyfriend long enough, or Seungmin was just incredibly good at hiding his true intentions around people. The boys would constantly tease him about how much of a laid-back lover he must have been but they couldn't have been more wrong.

"S-Seungmin," You whined out, your legs beginning to burn from how long the two of you had been at this. Ever since you'd gotten another tattoo the man had barely left you alone, getting needier whenever he would see the ink that lined your collarbone. It wasn't anything extravagant nor was it anything that was majorly a turn-on but the sight of ink on your body drove Seungmin mad with desire. 

"Fucked out already baby? I've only made you cum four times," He chuckled to himself, holding you still on top of him as you lazily leaned your head against his shoulder trying to catch your breath.

"You're like a fucking wild animal whenever I get a new tattoo," You breathed out, enjoying the way his hands slowly began to rub up and down your back gently.

"I can't help it, there's just something about the way it looks on you," He admitted to you, watching as your eyes slowly began to shut as you struggled to stay awake. 

JEONGIN:

Jeongin had no idea what it was that turned him on so much about you having tattoos, it never happened whenever he saw someone else with a tattoo. Though he'd always found them to be "badass" or "cool-looking" on other people there was just something about you that sent the man frantic. 

"What about this one?" You questioned as you stepped into the changing area's waiting station, you were supposed to be choosing a dress for your friend's wedding but it appeared as though you were struggling majorly. Whatever option you picked never felt right when you were alone so you'd dragged your boyfriend out with you to help. 

"What's the back like?" Jeongin questioned, his eyes travelling up and down your body as you slowly did a spin to show him the back of the gown. Within seconds you were being pushed back into the changing room and the door was locked, your heart was practically in your throat with how fast you'd been moved.

"Innie?" You giggled, feeling your boyfriend press your body against the wall, his hands slowly trailing down your waist and dragging you close. Jeongin's heart was racing as he let out a small whimper of your name,

"It's backless," He whispered as if that was clearing anything up but you were just as confused as before, you'd worn plenty of backless dresses before and he'd never reacted this way to them.

"Your tattoo," Realisation began to crash into you as you smirked at him. Of course, you had tattoos everywhere but for some reason, the one on your back - which was your most recent - was the one that caused Jeongin to get turned on the most. Maybe it was the size of it or the fact that it was so incredibly detailed you had no idea, all you knew was that whenever he saw it he would get so turned on he'd take you anywhere to take care of his needs.

"I'm not fucking you in the changing rooms," You chuckled as he let out a small whimper in protest to you, sounding almost so needy you wanted to give in to him but this was a public area and you still needed to find a dress to wear.

"Shall I get this dress?" You whispered to him, your fingers slowly curling a strand of his hair around your finger. Jeongin's eyes never left yours, as though he was in a trance with you.

"Get this dress. I won't leave you alone the whole night at the wedding," A smirk began to grow on your lips as you thought about it, the thought of having him attached to you all night long sounded like bliss.

"This dress it is then, now..." You began to pull away from him as you spoke,

"Get out and let me change." You drove him slowly toward the door as he protested for you not to let him go out there the way that he was, he had no way of hiding how hard he was right now.

"We'll go straight home and I'll take care of you baby," You promised, leaving one last long kiss on his lips before shoving him out and into a chair to wait for you.

I've only seen them be used as battering rams in discourse when homosexuals criticize bisexuals. Which is crazy for such a serious issue and totally trivializes it lol. Also that my explanation for it was that such studies show that many abused people incorrectly id as bi for a time. You can disagree or wtv just those were my points, she made it sound like I'm cheering on women beating if they're bi or something. Also your defense of me (thanks queen lol) is accurate if you were wondering. I used to be sorta pro strict separatism but I outgrew the anger/ denial phase of "most women will partner with men" and reached acceptance. Most people are built for romantic partnership, that's just human nature, I can't be hating het women just because their lot in life in that means they're more likely to be abused. @/gowestyoungman is a good source for news, and i'm personally a fan of @/mattbradydaggeurotype but @/geopeteralexhealy has some great portraits! obviously anyone has to follow @/oldhickory if they're a dem ( or even a whig ) they have great posts, lots of drama and thought provoking articles. a vv funny scroll. @/greatcompromiser is on the opposite side as a whig, but always sophisticated in their arguments, with nice shitposts in between to lighten the mood if you're uneasy about the american system.

@/jquincy and @/oldbullion are mostly serious blogs and if you're a westward expansion fellow, they're top blogs for u to follow. a bit hard at times, but personally i think they have great humor to make up for it ( unlike @/castironman though if you're here for what he posts all the more strength to u i suppose). @/redfoxkinderhook is also a good blog but they rarely post ( and never anything personal). @/godlikedan is my personal favorite blog. they have everything on there- drama, shitposts, detailed analysis, longposts, important info, aesthetics, etc.

simon is chronically online. being shy, he gravitated towards the internet. he's definitely a fandom girlie and has a tumblr (hi tumblr). he spreads positivity on the internet all the time. he's one of the good ones fr. i do hc simon as a Christian, so he does spread the Word a lot as an lgbtq affirming Christian dude

jack doesn't spend too much time on the internet. he also isn't allowed a lot of these medias by his parents, so that may have something to do with it. he does get upset when his posts don't get as many likes as ralph's

YOU WANT ME TO TALK ABT MY HEADCANONS??!?? FR??? I’LL BE GLAD TO!!!! I already made a post about my infodump of Gregory and Christophe headcanons, but I have some extras that I haven’t posted / recently developed! (Make sure to click the "keep reading" to see all of it)

Gregory HATES theater kids, and he doesn't exactly know why. Maybe it was cause they're full of overly dramatic, ignorant, self absorbed people? (At least in his school and previous experiences) Maybe it's the overly cheesy performances that he likes to scoff at and gets second hand embarrassment... thinking that they don't do as good as the professional musicals and is an insult to them. But anyways, there is one acceptation to why he still attends at watching school plays, and it's cause Christophe IS a theater kid! Gregory thinks that Christophe is the only theater kid he actually respects, cause his performances are more better than others (even if it's overly dramatic sometimes) and he pin points tone and body language almost perfectly. Gregory will rant about how all the other theater kids should be more like him and how Christophe is carrying the success of school plays.

Fun fact I based off of my interpretation of Gregory's personality and nature mostly the same as Peppermint Patty from Peanuts. I just feel like Patty fits how I see Gregory..

I like to think that Gregory's the type to make full on callouts on someone's bullshit by somehow getting evidence of it and throwing it all over their faces, insult them, clowns on them, and then making them cry if they deserve it.

Christophe really loves how fluffy, soft, and curly Gregory's hair is, he's almost jealous of it. But at the same time he doesn't want to properly take care of his hair cause it's too much work and it doesn't matter to him. So instead he likes to walk up to Gregory and ruffles his hair for a bit getting it all messy (which Gregory finds it fun) just to appreciate how nice his hair feels

Whenever it rains, Gregory will literally come over to Christophe's house just to ask if they can play in the rain and dance in it together :] and then have mud fights

Gregory has hand sensory issues, his hands are very picky on textures to the point where it bothers him extremely. This is why he wears gloves! But he has an issue with them where sometimes they get too warm, or if he doesn't need them at that time, he takes it off. Which is my excuse to why in the movie, Gregory's gloves randomly disappear

Christophe does keep small animals as pets, lizards, ducks, frogs, mice, etc.. but an incident happened where Gregory's snakes ate a bunch of the smaller animals Christophe has, and another time where the snakes ate Pocket's rabbits when petsitting them... this is why Christophe is terrified and hates snakes. Gregory deeply regrets that and tried his best to not let that happen again 😭

Gary's also obsessed with things relating to stars, or just space in general. He's also a little inpatient and doesn't wait to give an answer about those topics (This is in relation to the episode where he appears in, where he straight up didn't wait to be called to give an answer on the rocket landing question and he just full on yells it out)

Gary loves Hawaiian Pizza.. he doesn't understand why people hate it so much lol

Gary also has a habit of not getting jokes, the punchline flies right over his head unless they're blunt. But he just laughs along even though he fully doesn't get it and just goes along to be friendly

Since Gregory is Gary's cousin, they hang out a bunch. Christophe, Gary, and Gregory is like their own little mini friend group! And since Gary sticks around with Gregory a bunch, sometimes he picks up Gregory's accent and it will randomly show, in which he will immediately correct himself

Gary and Stan are dating in my headcanon ofc, but Gregory and Stan have a huge rivalry going on... Gary gets stuck in the middle of it cause Stan is his boyfriend while Gregory is his cousin, it's a constant back and forth between trying to keep both sides from mauling each other.. poor Gary :[

Hi! (Loving your chat GTP nocorro fics, they are so soulless and funny to me. I don't use AI so it kills me how slightly off it feels). I have answered this already! Here is that link, but, I will use this opportunity to answer with something I had been cooking up for a seperate post. How does Mo'at find out?

Here are my thoughts. I'm thinking if we take what the original anon said, which is that Mo'at can immediately identify that Neteyam has mated, then it stands to reason that she can instantly tell with Spider the next time she sees him. The Mo'at and Spider agenda that ensues has gotta be insane. I've taken some creative liberties, as the og anon stated that Spider and Neteyam had sex the day before Neteyam's iknimaya because after he would have to start looking for a mate as he is officially a man in the clans eyes. It is actually the uniltaron that is that final trial, so I've adjusted to the day before that. I was going to have Spider not show up the day after they would've had sex, but I think Spider still wouldn't miss Neteyam's ceremony for anything.

-Spider does not come back to the village the day after Neteyam's uniltaron. It's not something Mo'at notices right away, caught up in the surprise and chaos from the day before. But she overhears Kiri and Lo'ak talking about how odd it is that he isn't around with no warning that he had a duty to fulfill for the sky people the day before, and Lo'ak says it's not like Spider to miss village drama, even if it's about Neteyam.

-She's been meeting with Neteyam in the early mornings, sorting herbs and listening to the forest in silence. It's halfway an apology; this break from the chaos of his home at the moment. She had blurted out his secret in front of his family without even consulting him, just simply out of shock. She knows he doesn't blame her, knows he didn't even intend for this, and that he's too young to make such a decision, but she still feels bad. It was tactless.

-It's not until two days later that she sees Spider. She can see exactly what she saw when she saw her grandson the morning of his uniltaron; that he is forever changed, his soul permanently bonded. She has learned from her last shock and doesn't say anything out loud, but only just. Therefore when Spider meets her gaze, he can see it all over her face.

-It's kind of heartbreaking. She's always been certain he was a child of Eywa, and this is definitive proof that he won't let anyone see. A gift of great happiness hidden in the dark like it's shameful. Almost all of the child's life he's been a secret indulgence of Mo'at's, and her his. They weave his songcord together the two of them, without his whole family to witness. She hates that he's bound to be someone else's secret now. But he's looking at her so pleadingly, so she keeps her mouth shut.

-Na'vi are very open with their children, answering any questions they might have from a very young age. Neteyam knows about mating rituals, which is all the more frustrating. Neteyam doesn't need her advice, so she tries with Spider. He's not stupid, he grew up with only Na'vi children, but no one had ever bothered to explain a mating bond to him. Why would they? She tries to explain to him that a fresh bond requires contact, a reaffirmation of the bond. Almost constant reassurance to the soul that their new other half is still there, until it grows used to distance and time with trust. Mo'at knows for certain that Neteyam has been officially/unofficially grounded and never out of Jake and Neytiri's sight since this revelation, just as well as she knows that Spider hasn't been within ten yards of the Sully's home since. Distance for a bond this fresh is not healthy for either of them. But Spider is as stubborn as Neteyam.

-She requests Spider help her early the next morning. She doesn't think Neteyam will mind this particular disturbance in their quiet mornings. They spend the time sorting, shoulders pressed together and knees touching, but it's about as good as it gets in her presence. She's fairly certain the distance has to be physically painful at this point, but she wouldn't know, because no idiots have bonded and then steadfastly ignored each other before in living memory.

-Finally she sends the two of them to get her a particular plant, one that only grows at a waterfall about an hours walk through the forest away. Lo'ak is seconds away from complaining about how he got plenty of that for her last week in front of Neytiri, so she has to send him and Kiri to get something on the other side of the forest to shut him up. She hopes Eywa will forgive her for taking a little more than is needed from the forest today, but her worries are assuaged when the two boys come back entirely sans plant.

That's very sweet of you to say, but this aint my first rodeo on tumblr. I've been here since 2009, I've seen it all- I was even a hater myself at some points as a young teen. I understand their words mean nothing unless you decide to give them any meaning, which only encourages them, so why bother?

In retrospect, I shouldn't have posted that one hater, but it was just such a bizarre message that I thought it was funny. I'm glad I did though, because apparently she's been harassing a lot of BG3 blogs around here. After sharing her backstory, some of my followers were reassured that the messages they also got from her were nothing to worry about. But in the future, I'll just do what I usually do- delete hate comments and keep on truckin'.

I’ve actually mentioned in that post that I talk about Jonsa and Sansa a lot more because those are the blogs that I primarily follow (and thus, they come up on my feed a lot more). Sansa is my favourite character, I think that’s pretty clear. But the reason I don’t post about Dany and Arya a whole lot (though I have reblogged about them, which I’m sure you’ve noticed as you seem to have obsessively scrolled) is because I have lots of arya and dany blogs blocked since unfortunately they tend to have sansa/Jonsa hate and I don’t really want to see that. I also mentioned in that post for anyone to recommend me some blogs that don’t foster sansa or jonsa hate, but no one responded with any so I just left it at that.

In any case, you don’t know me so I don’t know why this page bothers you. - I DO love all asoiaf girls - but I prefer to not interact with certain stans since negativity is something I’d very much prefer not to encounter :p I have an asoiaf TikTok where I post equally about characters, so there’s that. In that original pinned post, I had a j*nrya shipper come into my notes and essentially act very condescending towards me for shipping Jonsa. It left quite a bad taste in my mouth and was vitriolic for no reason, (and they actually blocked me when I provided reasoning + evidence which is …funny to say the least). I come onto tumblr to read metas , view beautiful fanart and edits, and converse with my *wonderful* mutuals. I do not come on here to argue, to hate, to bully, to provoke discourse - it’s just not in my nature and I’ll only speak on something if it’s presented to me unabashed or in my actual mentions. Otherwise I don’t venture into anti-tags and even just avoid pro - arya or pro - dany tags since I’ve seen lots of hatred to sansa and Jonsa on there and frankly ? I’m not interested. I’d love to follow some blogs that appreciate or are at the very least respectful about all these characters so if you can point some out to me lovely anon, that would be great :) It’s been a while since I’ve read a good arya or dany meta.

Now, in terms of characters - I believe I’m one of those rare asoiaf fans who are appreciative of all female characters for what they are. I’ve mentioned sansa, dany and arya are my favs - and this is due to complexity, nuance and the unique beauty and meaning to their stories. I enjoy them in different ways, and I appreciate them for different reasons.

my philosophy regarding these things is that you have to be able to take as much as you dish out. it is probably reasonable to get a bit annoyed about being messaged off-topic things on a blog with a dedicated topic (unless this was on a separate blog of theirs, idk. this already feels like I'm involving myself quite deep into this drama and digging up old dirt), but having your reasons behind hating a character be based on such an immature view of things probably correlates to a lack of ability to gracefully take other viewpoints.

like, there are good reasons to dislike adrien as a character. some salt on him extends from grains of truth about his portrayal, just as salt on marinette extends from grains of truth about her portrayal as well; we all pick and choose these and exaggerate or flanderize them and essentially change the character to our dis/liking as we see fit. the best way to go about this is, imo, to play with tropes and conceptions of these characters and see where things go and how that reflects on the world and how that character, in turn, can affect people's views on things. media can be divorced from the real world, and often is, but it doesn't exist in a vacuum and never will. part of the fun of salt is picking apart the characters and poking out how their traits aren't given the scrutiny and care they might deserve.

...the bad way to go is not examining why this character ticks you off, and instead framing them in the worst light possible without avenue for playing around with it. you'd be treating everything this fake person does with extreme scrutiny, exaggerating not for the fun of playing with the character, but to show everyone that this blorbino sucks ass and nobody should ever like them.

.....A troubling amount of salt is the latter way. Not all (most hangs in the middle), but enough.

^^ This does not apply to the mlb writers btw, especially The-Ass-In-Charge. They are real people whose writing choices are deliberate and not at all 'divorced' from the real world in the way a character's choices are. In fact, for every salt post about a character, there should be twenty pointing out that the writers were wack for choosing to make the character be that way. (This tends to be something Marisalters do better, in my experience, but that's not to say the problem isn't there)

Welp.

Let's clear some stuff first.

We don't know if Jk and Jimin did or didn't see each other. We literally don't know because we don't know what they do all hours of the day and they didn't tell us.

The day before, Jimin saw Yoongi. The day of, Jk had the morning music show. And Jimin said he would see his family to eat seaweed soup. That's all we know.

All the members gave Jimin birthday wishes and we found out about it. Yoongi making hotteok for Jimin doesn't mean their relationship has changed. Yoongi has been cooking for Jimin since fetus times so this doesn't mean yoonmin is real (be for real). All the guys adopted this birthday thing because of Jimin and, I would imagine, that these years hit harder since they are all scattered and doing their own thing so I see why they would all pull through for Jimin.

Now, here comes the complicated part and what I'm dissapointed in too. Jk didn't post or anything for Jimin's birthday.

Now, people in defense of Jk will say that posting means nothing, he is busy, they celebrated in private, etc.

But I feel jkkrs always excuse Jk's behavior.

This is not bad behavior for a normal person but this is coming from the boyfriend and the same guy who "wants to be linked" to Jimin by using the same concept photos ideas so it doesn't make sense to me that he couldn't do something so simple... same thing as the bb100 posting. Jk is constantly online liking tiktoks and he commented on that girl idol, dancers, funny videos and he couldn't be bothered to post something for Jimin?

And this doesn't have to be romantic. All the other members said their wishes in their own way and no one batted an eye.

It's something so small. Tiny. Literally the bar was so low but Jk doesn't pass when it comes to these things.

We literally don't know Jimin's feelings on this so these are all speculations, of course. Which also brings up the point that Jimin could be whatever about this and they could have celebrated in private...but we don't know that either.

I personally think that since these people are real humans, you can't demand certain behaviors from them, but it also makes sense to feel a certain emotion about their actions because they have, in a way, included us in their life (watch signals, concept photos, flirting on lives).

So I don't blame people who feel dissapointed but at the same time, we should lower our expectations and absolutely not demand or wish for anything.

I really wanna start an anti catradora blog since there are so few but idk where to start, can you please give me some tips?

Well! First of, I'm very excited that this side of fandom will be getting another participant, and second of all, I'm very flattered that this question is going to me! I'm always happy to give some support xoxo!

All of my tips are going to be from personal experience both from my time generally engaging with fandom, and running this particular blog.

1 ) Try to be polite.

Yes, you will get people who disagree with you. The very existence of anti-fandom implies that we are not the norm. The majority of our main fandom already disagrees with us. And they might be assholes about it. Don't tolerate rudeness, but also, try not to feed into it, either. Not only is it terrible for mental health as the blogger, but it perpetuates this idea that the blogger in question reacts to negative attention. Which, if you've been on the Internet long enough, you know very well how quickly negativity breeds if it's allowed. Positivity breeds too, so I think it's in anyone's best interest to simply... Not be an asshole. Even if it means being the bigger person for a moment.

2 ) Pick and choose your battles.

"Battles" is a melodramatic way to put it, but I'm only using it because it's a well known saying. Anyway, this part is from the first part. So... the thing about being "the bigger person" is that... it doesn't always happen. I definitely don't let everything go by me without snapping at it sometimes. Well, I just think it's funny. I used to think it was way funnier in the past, too. Sometimes anon hate/fandom takes are really stupid and it's hilarious to share. But if it's not funny, insightful, or you simply don't want to engage... Don't engage.

3 ) Connect!

Anti-fandom is still fandom, and I personally treat it as such! There's still art to enjoy, stories to read, discussions to be shared. Community is not necessary, but when I was first putting out anti-c//a posts it really helped me to know that there were people that like, didn't think I was insane for pointing out things that bothered me! Especially since my choice in writing anti-c//a/crit fics is not an easy medium and well, to be honest, sort of requires that I know someone out there enjoys the fruit of my labor.

Yes, spop antis are limited, but go say 'hi' to the people that are open to engagement! We're mostly pretty friendly, and in my opinion, open-minded.

4 ) You are required to have an "on the nose" blog name.

NO, okay, I'm being totally facetious! Obviously, name the blog whatever you want, I just laugh when I see a new anti blog and it's something like "catra-needs-jail-time" or "catradora-is-dogshit". They're a handful of bloggers like that, if you want more to follow (the two I just named are jokes... As far as I know).

The real advice to be clear that your blog is anti-catradora/critical; or whatever other stances you'll talk about often. Nothing personal if that's not what you want, but make it easily found that you're not open to certain things, or you are open to certain things. I.e. I think that C//a are pretty obviously adopted sisters canon, and that point is very purposefully the first post on my blog (has been for two years), so no one is surprised when I start ranting about sister!c//a in particular.

5 ) It is never, EVER that deep.

Part of anti/crit blogging is that there's salt involved. Ranting, sharing things that frustrate us, being annoyed with canon... But also, it's really not that deep.

If I would have got this question two years before, I would have not added this part. But yeah, no. Part of why I run this blog still is because I know it's simply not that serious... People will steadily find my blog and the others in this community, and they will come around to their own conclusions on their own time. There is no trying to convince someone else on a POV that they simply don't want to see. There is no war against anti fandom and main fandom (though, some will have you believe otherwise).

The bloggers that are still active and open about unpopular opinions in 2023 are not people that stress themselves out or respond to every braindead take, they're not people who get attacked/overwhelmed by stans very often, they're not rude, they're not close-minded-- actually, I would go as far as to say that they're extremely fucking chill about this hobby. Passionate and dedicated, but self aware and self-respecting of mental capital/health.

And so, that'd have to be my last piece of advice.. Chill. It's just not that deep. And if it ever becomes "deep"... take a million steps back, and give yourself that space to recuperate. Your mental state is infinitely more important than an anti-blog, and no one will judge you for taking breaks or anything as you'll need them.
