the FIRST vocaloid song in my liked is the chattering lack of common sense by ghost and pals. my brother found it and i liked it (july 19 2021)

then it was my first j-vocaloid, shikabane no odori/dance of the corpses by kikuo (january 7 2022)

I found kikuo because I kept on seeing videos with corpse dance playing, and finally one of them had the title. I didn't look at the rest of their songs until I was well into my circus p/jubyohonic phase

this was also my intro to jpop in general!

the next tray songs were aishite by kikuo and miku by anamanaguchi (both jan 13 2022, next songs are too)

then i found SUI by maretu, kimi wa dekinai ko (kikuo), some more jpop, and anaguragurashi/hole dwelling (one of my favorite kikuo songs!)

there was more ghost and pals, but this was when I started to REALLY like jpop. my favorites were tophamhat-kyo, kikuo, gumi, ado and kira!

I also got SUPER into kairikibear, hiiragikirai, and kankan in june 2022. I started to find people like giga, kanaria, neru, neyuri, and iyowa in july.

I started liking Azaria in august!! (I still love azari!!) in september i started really listening to ado. and my favorite cover artist, chogakusei! later on I found ¿?shimon (STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!!), tuyu, inabakumori, and deco*27 (my favorite deco*27 song is salamander!)

in october i started liking yuu miyashita (because wozwald, a song i still love!) i listened to a bit of nyanyannya, but I liked cosmo@bousou‐p a lot more!!

fun fact! in November I did actually like two leo/need songs!! (sutera and needle) then in december I liked a wonderful☆opportunity song!

also in november one of my friends recommended fujii kaze (who i still very much like :).

december was the reign of chogakusei, yuu miyashita, kikuo, and a few other jpop/vocaloid artists.

january - march 2023 consisted of almost exclusively jpop/vocaloid. I found sekai no owari (still a band i love!), rose, more ¿?shimon, fake type., takayan, syudou, imase, tatsuya kitani, mikito p, guchiri, more kankan, hachi, more ado, wotaku, pinocchiop, gero (GERO <3), and a lot more hiiragikirai.

then in march I started playing project diva. dear god i listened to so much vocaloid. it was also when kikuomiku 8 was released!!!!

march was also when I found takayan. my music taste. was only him. for months. finally I listened to other music but omg his music devoured me.

until may it's just a bunch of jpop and vocaloid with the occasional folk song or something. then I just. kinda stopped finding new jpop ig. there's like a dozen jpop/vocaloid songs until june.

then it was back to kankan, sekai no owari, deco*27 (fun fact! I can recite like 2/3 of vampire), takayan, and mitchie m.

HERE COMES THE CRANE WIVES IN EARLY JUNE! I adore them. (I'm going to a crane wives concert this month! <3)

a bunch of anime intros/outros, SO MUCH JPOP, sohta!!! imase, mafumafu, even more takayan omg, and jon-YAKITORY in June!

july was mostly jpop. lots of syudou and guchiri! and tuyu. but then mid-july hits. and allll the jpop disappears, and is replaced by I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (I love idkhow <3).

august is mostly ado and the crane wives!! some jpop and romance songs, and also a bit of idkhow, but most of it is the first two.

august 31st has like 50 lofi covers of jpop songs tho. same with september 1st.

september and october were mixed bags, with some nasuo too!!! (I adore nasuo). I also listened to more gero! I FOUND ONE OF MY FAVORITE VOCALOID SONGS!!!! (dogdog by abuse <3) also in october, i was going through my first breakup and it was BAD (he cheated on me due the 3rd time the day after our 1 year anniversary and it took me 3 weeks to break up with him lmao (it's ok now tho i don't ever see him anymore and he never deserved me anyways!!! <3)) so there's a lot of angsty romance songs but also. milgram. and the song 二十五/nijuugo/25 by leaking crypt that i would play on repeat for hours when I was sad bro. I loved that song.

innovember i got a crush so there were a lot of romance songs then! AND THEN I FINALLY LISTENED TO ALL OF THE CRANE WIVES' SONGS. and the crush only lasted like a month and i think it was just me coping.

I found otoboke beaver in november by looking at concerts near me, and i saw them and was surprised that they were a jpop band! (I didn't get to go to the concert tho :(

december was filled with ado and meet me @ the altar. BUT THEN IN LATE DECEMBER I got a real crush!!! and listened to so many romance songs omg. I also started listening to one of my all time favorite bands, the scary jokes!

the amount of romance songs in january should be a crime. I was down bad for this person.

and then for a month straight I listened to nothing (and I mean NOTHING) but the april fools and burn pygmalion albums by the scary jokes.

march 2024, i found vaundy!! another all time favorite, I adore his music.

april had more crane wives, and a few jpop/vocaloid songs i love!!! (clover♤club, too late for chocolate ?, and doku). and more romance songs. then my friend tried to turn me into a swiftie (didn't work), and then I listened to even MORE of the crane wives. and also sobbed my eyes out rewatching the wind rises.

and that's it!!! besides for the various jpop, vocaloid, and all the other songs I liked but they're not really of note.

turns out i dont have a job rn bc my contract ended :(

i thought it was the end of jan 2023, but turns out i mixed up the dates and it was actually the beginning of jan 2023 (jan 1st)

oof i didnt even get to say bye to my nice co-workers.....at least i wrote one an email...

anyways until monday i dont have a day job so i just. played ffxiv for nearly 8 / 9 hours yesterday. felt good to just be able to. do. nothing.

then i started the sbh relics resistance weapons. im. suffering.

doing the archer zodiac, the ast anima, and the whm resistance and eureka...at last 3/4 of them are just. fate grinding in the open world. i got so desperate that i actually made my very first own party finder ad for fate grinding yesterday lol. no one joined + i took it down and joined another person who was doing the tempest grind (i had at the time 41/60 of the shared fates), but i am thinking of making another pf ad later today once i log back on.

i am.....sad that i will soon lose my sprout icon. finally the msq is ??? and im like. ENDWALKER SO SOON????? BROOOOOO

im so tempted to do the final quest on my ps4 so i can see a final cutscene on a big tv and it be all cool and all but also i wanna have the easy access of screenshots that i get via laptop/keyboard so i can take pics of fandaniels’ 5g towers in the distance plus get some final pic of my name tag with the sprout icon next to it lololol

The others could be right and it could be only two, but my thought is based on their contract with Paramount. I haven't seen anything so far about a regular season coming in Jan.

They have to make 14 "movies" (1 hour specials) plus regular seasons as well in 6 years. I haven't read anything promising a normal "season", but what would make the most sense to me from a production perspective is for them to have 4 "movies" throughout the winter (Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb), followed by a normal season in the fall, followed by 2 "movies" from then out. This would take the 14 down to 10 and the 6 down to 5, so it'd be 2 specials a year plus the seasons, which would make the most sense to be straddled and not bunched. I could be wrong, but from a production perspective, that's IMO the best for marketing, maintained interest, and production stamina.

They could also choose to divide it up otherwise, or even carry this into one season, or even continue this plotline later somewhere else, but I think they'd have to give this at least 3 in order to stay on top of their contract better. I also suspect a season in 1st quarter would be less desirable than the 3-4 quarter straddle that they've been used to in regards to budgeting and numbers. This is unless they've changed their production process to reflect a more "modern" one.

God I wonder..... I actually have no clue how any of this is going to work, I'm curious if the seasons and the movies will be in continuity with each other or if the movies are gonna be more like standalone stories on their own?? I saw some people theorising they might be adults for all 14 movies, while they go back to kids for the regular seasons, but that seems unlikely to me....

I believe the stuff about it being 2 parts and the new season in Jan are from an interview with Trey but I haven't seen it myself. I actually have nothing to contribute to this bc I'm totally out of the loop lmao, but gonna publish it anyway in case this is interesting for others skjsksds

dec 31st : early in the day she’s with silhouette girls, preparing for the concert. the new year eve’s party she’s probably going to let loose a little so a tipsy joo might make an appearance....yeah...i’ll think on that again a drunk joo is a really...sigh. if anyone wants to find her, she will be there probably alone and drinking by herself slowly while admiring the night sky.

jan 1st : she will be at the fansign at the theatre with the rest of silhouette, waiting for her turn after 7rophy, and probably brushing shoulders with BEE since they’re up next for the fansign. the rest of the day is shopping in busan, probably going round to find little joys in eating (yeah yeah yeah she’s craving street food whatcha gonna do about it 😤

artemisia / sia :

lipstick is going to be performing news, wild and lil’ touch and knowing sia she would probably either be late / lost somewhere in the ship / sleeping  in the most unexpected places. the loud sounds of the rehearsals are also going to or probably might get to her, and some might find her hiding away hands over her ears trying to re-balance her disorientation and sensory overload. she might run / brisk walk off the stage mid-practice because of it as well. 

the same night she’s performing with lipstick, but the rest of the whole time for the concert she’s going to be having a good pair of earplugs in her ears--misunderstandings could occur because she’s not very good at reading lips. 

dec 26: she gets lucky and draws a blue card. fits her perfectly, probably spends the rest of the day lying dazedly on the benches next to the swimming pool, or just lazy enough to get into the water, and just lie down and float. actually. she might even fall asleep while floating, based on what i know of her personality. in that case someone pls..wake her.

the swimming pool thing might also cause some fun in threads because sia could have walked out of the swimming pool without caring if her hair was all over her face (its probably grown to mid chest by now), and coming across her with wet hair across her face trudging round the corner can be quite horrifying

the same night she’s going to grab food, drinks for the holiday ball and spend her time trying to find a spot where no one comes round. maybe you come across her because you’re trying to hide too

dec 27: free day on ship. great. she’s going to sleep. or blast music and work on her stuff. or play games. come hit her up and find out.

dec 28: she gets a yellow card and probably spends her time trying to sneak off and away from actually doing the mission because no, she doesn’t like animals, and yes, its because they’re too noisy. her ears hurt and her eyes hurt please spare her for a moment, or don’t and drag her back to do the mission. she rehearses with the rest of lipstick girls in the evening--good luck, someone from lipstick hear her rant about the animals in the afternoon and calm her frazzled soul 

dec 29: free day again. again, sleep, eat, blast music, work stuff, play games...come hit her up.

dec 30: she gets a yellow card again and is attempting to sneak and mingle with the blue team. maybe you are perceptive enough to catch the usually presentless her, or you don’t and she smoothly integrates herself into the team. if she succeeds, she’s going to the bar to celebrate which is rare in all honesty, we might get a drunk or tipsy sia who knows. or just plain sober sia. who knows.

dec 31st: again she’s with the lipstick girls in the morning, and at the new years’ eve party in the night. again, she’s trying to sneak food and drinks out so as not to mingle in the party. she will be attempting to ninja her way to the observation lounge. 

jan 1st: she will be at the fansign at the theatre, brushing shoulders with fuse girls and gal.actic girls at their fansigns. her fans usually bring her rather embarrassing little hats for her to wear that’s too big for her so you might come across her wearing those and shuffling out of the theatre or something. 

she’s going to honestly just walk around. mainly if there’s anything of musical interest that catches her attention, she will go for it.

dec 25th: she’s going to be playfully getting ready with the rest of the bee girls for her performance, being the mood maker and the cheeky one she might purposely do some fun little antics to tease those around her and be playful with them

dec 26th: she get the red card and probably might cause more harm than good with decorations, though she’s pretty eager to help. who knows you might chance upon her getting caught in tinsel or entangled in the lights with no way to get out. the same night she’s going to be at the ball, probably eating and drinking and mingling with friendly people whilst being in the pool as well

dec 27th: free day out in taipei!! join her for street food!! she wants to eat all of the street food and shop at all the street markets she can find!! she especially wants to try the stinky tofu, so...good luck to anyone bringing her out she will insist on trying it lmfao

dec 28th: she gets the red card again :’) this time someone please make sure she doesn’t end up eating all the food she’s supposed to prepare. aly with cooking is always 85% eating and 15% cooking, she’s also not good at it at all so bear with her pls

dec 29th: she’s going to the card and game room, and the library, and the theatre and then the fitness centre she just wants to visit every place in the ship even though she doesn’t stay long in one place.

dec 30th: she gets the yellow card  and will try to mingle with the blue team. except..that she’s just generally bad at hiding her excitement ;;

dec 31st:  she’s probably eating at the ball, and then making a beeline for her room. by then she’s exhausted herself on the running energy for the past few days. she might fall asleep while eating, or doze while talking with someone

jan 1st: she’s going to brush shoulders with silhouette and lucid girls for the fansign at the theatre, and aly is known to be a bit wild when doing fansigns lmao so you might hear her hyping up the fans even while behind or waiting for your turn. aly energy at the beginning of the fanmeet: 150% , after the fanmeet: 150% and getting louder with bunny hats and flower crowns and just chattering non-stop (i’m sorry bee girls :’) she’s excited)

dec 26: yeah, he’d rather be anywhere but rehearsing for alien. he’ll be distracted half the time or disappeared because he’s snuck away to watch over his gf. or he will aim to finish his rehearsal quickly and then go. 

he gets the yellow card and helps with the choreography of dance since its his niche. he’ll probably suggest some really cheer / hyped up songs that makes people feel like dancing upon hearing the song--that’s half the recipe of success he says.

holiday ball: do not disturb, thank you. he’s probably hovering somewhere close to his gf, watching over her and half heartedly talking to others. who knows you might see the warmer or actual side of him and not the dumb narcissistic side since he tends to be softer and more leaning towards his original personality when around his gf

dec 27: he’ll be at the fitness centre or the indoor pool, or you might not find him at all.

dec 28:. ...he gets a yellow card and will probably go around asking to exchange cards with others pls he’s kind terrified of the idea being around wild animals LOL animals remind him of his gf’s pets who detest him lmfao

dec 29: you won’t find him anywhere akjdgk this devoted person is off and away with his gf as secretly as he can

dec 30: he draws the red card. he hasn’t cleaned in a long ass time, but he’s willing to put in the effort as long as others do, and surprisingly you won’t see him complain but just diligently do his part.

dec 31: god he’s rehearsing with alien again. he’d honestly rather have time speed up in this part because his mind is preoccupied elsewhere. the new year’s eve party is going to be fun and blissful one, but he’s finally had the chance to fully relax and just be himself. maybe you’ll catch the flamboyant, loud ass prat version of him, or maybe the sentimental one. anyway, he’s staying up and finding his gf so that he can give her a new year’s kiss secretly because he’s romantic like that.

jan 1st: he will brush shoulders with origin members and decipher members, then appear at the theatre later on to watch from a distance and silently support silhouette.

no receipt, no cash

I work at a grocery store and had this super lovely tweaker couple come to the service desk wanting to return a bunch of pantry type items (canned soup, canned tuna, canned fruit, boxed stuffing) without a receipt, demanding cash. Hahaha. No. The canned fruit wasn't on file, meaning my store doesn't even sell it. Based on the shit they were returning and what a coworker later told me (that they'd been coming in regularly doing this), it was probably food donated to them through a food pantry.

I told them firmly but politely that I was not going to give them cash. Receiptless returns get put on a gift card. The woman told me that I didn't need to "get an attitude" with her, despite me being perfectly professional. They were the ones lowkey freaking out, probably because they were jonesing for a fix and dealers don't take gift cards.

They started trying to badger me into giving them cash. "She gave us cash yesterday!" Even if you managed to browbeat one of my poor coworkers into giving you cash, that doesn't mean I'm going to do the same. Fuck off. "Well then that other girl needs to get in trouble! Get her in trouble!" What the actual fuck? My coworker did you a kindness breaking the rules for you and you want her to get in trouble for it??? Go fuck yourself. "Split it into two different transactions so it's less money." lmao, what? No. It's still the same amount of money, dumbass, and you still don't have a receipt. "We shop here all the time." I literally don't care. What bearing does that have on the current situation of you trying to get cash when you have no receipt? And if you shop here all the time, why the big issue with a gift card? "We live right across the street!" Okay, and??? "Well can you put it back on his card, since that's how he paid for it?" LMAO, no. You have no proof that's how he paid for it. You have no proof it was paid for at all. And now you're blatantly telling me that you didn't pay cash for these items, so in what universe would you expect to get cash for them? Like, even if you had a receipt showing that you paid for this shit with a card (which you don't, because you didn't pay for this shit), you wouldn't get cash.

And then my favorite game of chicken: "WeLl CaN't YoU lOoK uP mY rEcEiPt?!" Lady, you're in luck! Because one of the only two people who can do that actually happens to be working at the moment! It's an involved process and will take some time, but just write down the card number that you used and we'll go check! This bitch proceeded to give me like four different card numbers and they were all out of HER wallet. She'd just told me like two minutes ago that HE'D bought them with HIS card. She then made a show of looking through all her cards and being like, "Oh no, it might be the one that I left at home." 🙄🙄🙄 Sure, Jan.

So I had my coworker look up every single one of her cards, setting the transaction period from January 1st, 2019 to current day, and there was NOTHING. Literally not a single transaction. When she was going through her cards I noticed she has an EBT card (no judgement, I have one too), so if she does buy food at our store it's probably with that and it's probably not a coincidence that she didn't give me that number. So I came out of the back and told them there were no transactions and I was like, "Well maybe it was the card you """left at home""", across the street? Do you want to pop over and get it?"

It was at that point she realized that she lost and suddenly it's all, "It's FINE we'll just take the GIFT CARD this is a waste of our FUCKING TIME." Like yes, it absolutely is a waste of both our time, lmao. But you're the one doing shit like having us look up your transaction history when you know DAMN WELL you didn't actually pay for any of this shit, or if you did it was with EBT (which you intentionally didn't give me the number for) and you know the refund would get put back on your EBT card. Have a nice day! And honestly, maybe consider taking a long hard look at your life because you're actually pathetic standing in a grocery store for half an hour trying to return $25 worth of random shit and falling apart when you don't get it in cash. This should be your wake up call.

not much to say but im inching closer and closer to the finish line AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SOBS!!!!!!!!! WE’RE SOOO CLOSE GUUUUUUUUYS. 

i debated and debated what day i should post this update and i know i have it plan for early dec bc i didn’t want to have it later due to the fact that as soon as ch3 is done i have to jump back in again for ch4 which is due around my birthday in jan. SO YEA im cutting it v v v close so i dont want to push the posting date of ch3 any later so at most early dec. my original plan was dec 1st but since this week WAS AN ABSOLUTE hell with very little free time with my work schedule... i was thinking dec 2 but then i thought dec 2 seems doable since my schedule ease up after sunday with monday off, tues is a light shift, and off wed which is the 2nd but im afraid that if i get a day off im just going to be lazzzzzzzzzzzy. so the third instead??? since i’m working an evening shift so if i pull an allnighter to get it done then i can sleep all the way to 5pm before work LMAO /o\. im kinda going back and forth either the 2nd or the 3rd so WE’LL SEE. i’ll announce the posting date either on sunday or monday when the trailer for ch3 go live!!! :D

-watched a movie with my family!! it was trash and ended up bringing up a conversation about our family dynamic (between me and my sis)

- counseled my sister about childhood trauma even tho she managed to insult me while doing so and even tho it was a very sensitive topic that i am just starting to come to terms with!

- said goodnight to my family

- cried as quietly as i could for an hour so my dad didn’t hear me in the next room. it was the mental breakdown type years ikyk

- (TW) kinda sorta relapsed with s/h. pretty mad about this but it wasn’t severe. i’m sorry :/

- cried some more and silently screamed until my throat hurt

- took apart every altar and shrine in my room

- cried again

- wrote a poem about a phoenix that i am going to touch up later bc i’m proud of it

- around 3am I gave up sleeping so i went to grab my phone. was a bit happy when i saw i had notifications from people i care about. put my phone back

Merry early Christmas, fellow sinners! Guess what, we have been rolling in the bin for 3 years! To celebrate 3 years of my blog and to welcome more sinning in 2019, I present you — teyuuka giveaway desu!

Haven’t bought any physical drama CDs recently? Don’t worry! You can also submit a screenshot of a recent fave doujin CD that you bought recently (Nov-Dec/Jan?) from DLsite CD section (CD section linked here, meaning other purchases like manga/VN/games outside this link are not counted)

**The photos will not be distributed anywhere else or have significant impact to winning since winners will be randomly chosen, rather it’s more for verification purposes! Lyra rushed to pack up her station; RAW was done for the day and it was less than a week till the Royal Rumble, so things were getting hectic even for makeup artists such as herself.

She was traveling with her brother and his partners as usual, and they always bugged her about packing up quicker. She scrambled around, frantically searching for her brushes; every other make up bag was packed away in her roller bag, except that one.

She grumbled to herself, knowing that Seth was going to chew her out for being late again. She got down on her hands and knees to check if she’d accidentally kicked it under a table, when a strong arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her up, making her yelp in alarm.

“As much as I love seein you with your ass in the air, we really gotta go, baby girl,” Roman’s deep voice rumbled in her ear as he set her on her feet; she could feel her face turning red as she stepped away. She just knew he’d be smirking when she turned to glare up at the Alpha standing behind her in his cargo style pants and a plain black t-shirt.

“I’m almost done, I’m just looking for one more thing,” she replied, choosing to ignore his blatant flirting.

Ever since she’d joined WWE as one of their permanent makeup artists, she’d caught the attention of WWE’s infamous Thoroughbred Alpha; Roman and her would flirt at any chance they got, constantly trying to find new ways to tease each other without Seth finding out.

But to Lyra’s dismay, Roman never let it go any further than a drunken New Years kiss; she knew he found her attractive, he never failed to let her know, but she couldn’t figure out if he was holding back because she was Seth’s sister, or perhaps he didn’t want to get involved with a half-human, half-shifter like her. Part of her wondered if he’d go further if she was half-werewolf, like her brother, instead of half-human.

Either way it left her frustrated and even more determined to get him to fuck her; but that moment wasn’t the right time for it, Seth was already annoying her with his rather hypocritical lectures about how he basically expected her to be a nun, she didn’t need him to bitch her out about punctuality.

“Hey girl, you left this by my station,” said one of the other girls working makeup that night, holding out a little black bag, her eyes flitting between Lyra and Roman before settling on the shifter with an amused look.

“Oh fuck, thanks, I nearly lost my shit when I couldn’t find my brushes,” Lyra said with a nervous laugh as she took the bag from the girl who gave them a small nod and walked away while Lyra stuffed the brushes into her roller bag and zipped it up. “Alrighty, I’m all done.”

“Okay we gotta hurry, think you can keep up? Or do I gotta carry you?” He said, grabbing the handle of her bag in one hand and her forearm with his other, dragging them both after him.

“Shut the fuck up, Reigns,” she huffed, barely managing to snatch her purse off the table as she struggled to keep up with his long strides, making him laugh in return.

She was thankful that the exit was fairly close as her short legs were starting to burn by the time they made it there; Seth had already pulled the car up with Dean riding shotgun. Her brother honked loudly at them, resulting in both Lyra and Roman flipping him off.

“Go ahead and get in, I’ll put your bag in the trunk with the rest of the shit,” said Roman, giving her ass a light smack, she shot him a dirty look but his back was turned to her. She got into the car behind Seth, and Roman joined soon after.

“Took you guys long enough,” Seth grumbled as he sped out of the arena parking lot, heading for the highway that would take them to their next destination.

“Hey don’t look at me, not my fault the little princess here couldn’t keep track of her shit,” Roman said with a shrug.

“Don’t throw me under the bus like that, asshole,” she hissed, punching his arm, which had absolutely no effect on him, but certainly made her regret that decision as her knuckles met hard muscle.

“I’m not gonna take the fall for you when you’re bein’ an irresponsible child,” he retorted, she rolled her eyes, scoffing as she pulled out her phone rather than reply. “Yo, Dean, move your seat up, man, I’m dyin’ back here.”

“You ain’t the only one with long legs, dude,” replied Dean.

“Fine, fine,” Roman muttered; Lyra was busy texting Naomi, whom she’d grown close with over the past few months, so she paid no attention to them until she suddenly found herself being crushed by the large Samoan as he took it upon himself to stretch out across the back seat.

“What the-damnit, Roman, get off me, you’re too big,” she squeaked, trying to push him off.

“Bet that’s not the first time he’s heard that,” Dean snorted, earning a fist bump from Roman, and cackle from Seth.

“Well, if you sit on my lap it’ll work out better for the both of us,” Roman suggested, shifting off of her temporarily. Lyra’s eyes snapped to her brother, or rather the back of his seat, wondering if he’d have a problem with it, but he didn’t seem to care as he hummed along to some 80s song playing on the radio.

“Okay, fine,” was her only reply; she was not going to say no to an opportunity to be pressed up against Roman, even if she was a little annoyed at him.

A year ago she would’ve refused the offer because shifters weren’t pack creatures, but after being around the Shield, and other werewolves in the company, she began to adapt to their pack mentality and the lack of personal boundaries with close friends.

Biting her lip, she moved to sit sideways on Roman’s lap, expecting him to leave her be, but to her surprise he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him so that her back was flush against his warm chest while he moved to stretch across the back seat. She couldn’t help but feel tiny as her smaller frame lay on top of his much larger one.

She was a little surprised at how relaxed she felt in his arms, but that feeling was soon replaced by tension when she felt his lips pressed up against her right ear.

“You see, babe, I’m great at making big things fit, I’ve had lots of practice,” Roman said soft enough so that only Lyra heard it. She felt the blood rush to her face, and she elbowed him in response, not trusting herself to say something, but she knew just how to get back at him.

“Anyone want a lollipop?” She asked as she opened up her purse; she smirked inwardly as she felt Roman shift beneath her.

“What’re you, a five year old?” Dean quipped, making her kick the back of his seat. “Hey, watch it, don’t think I won’t kick your ass just cause you’re Seth’s baby sis.”

“Calm down, the both of you,” Seth said, sounding more than a little exasperated. “And I’ll take grape.”

“You always finish my grape pops,” she grumbled as she handed one to him and picked out a cherry flavoured one for herself. “You’re buying me my next bag of candy.”

“Whatever, kiddo,” he replied; she contemplated hitting his seat too, but settled on unwrapping her lollipop instead.

“Roman,” she said, looking up to find his eyes transfixed on the candy in her hand as she gave it a slow lick. “D'you want one too?”

“I, uhm, what, oh,” Roman cleared his throat, his arms tightened around her as she swirled her tongue around the lollipop; he forced himself to meet her eyes as she blinked up at him innocently. “I’m all good, babe, you just keep licking and sucking like a good girl.”

“Mmmhmm,” was her only response as she sucked on it, hollowing her cheeks out. She couldn’t help but feel smug when he finally averted his eyes, mumbling under his breath about how this was going to be a long journey.

She wriggled around in his arms until she found a position she liked, not that any position that involved her on top of Roman could ever be uncomfortable, but she wanted to tell Naomi about this, and she certainly couldn’t have Roman looking at her phone. While it may be a long journey for Roman, it was going to be a fun ride for her.
