Since some have asked when we'd be getting any more Supernatural scripts:
It's easier for me to find a script for the unproduced 7th ep of s10 of The X-Files (with bonus coffee stains from Chris Carter) than it is to find any Supernatural for sale and/or anyone willing to share a copy of a script.
No, really: the pledge form for that script is in our Discord server.
If we do buy it the original will be donated to the ScullyCoffee4NF fundraiser (February 2024).

Niche fandom happenings to take your mind after whatever stuffs happening in your fandom:
So as you can probably deduce, the model horse collecting hobby is made up mostly of older people. The hobby has been well established since the dawn of the Internet and I've talked a few times about how it's difficult to find some older resources about it/its history because of how every other link you click on which used to lead to a hobbyist artist's angelfire blog now is just a dead link or worse, bought out by some ad company sitting on the URL. Up until recently, a huge portion of hobby talk still relied on now-defunct Yahoo groups; now most have moved to either forums like Model Horse Blab or private Facebook groups. Individually most of these are pretty decentralized, but since model collecting by nature is a hobby that requires a significant amount of financial interaction (buying, trading, selling, commissioning, etc.), there has to be some kind of centralized marketplace for people to pitch their goods to as many corners of the hobby as possible.
Enter Model Horse Sales Pages (MH$P), a, well, site where people can post sales pages for model horses and accessories. It's an old fashioned sales pages site from the 2000s with a somewhat shitty layout but unparalleled detailed search functions-- to order things from a seller, you'd have to personally email them to negotiate for their listing. Though this seems somewhat inconvenient to our modern senses used to one click payments and speedy delivery, MH$P is undoubtedly a pillar of the model horse community.
... So that's why people are scrambling as it's allegedly been hacked and taken down for the foreseeable future. Worrying about personal information aside, now fans are left to wonder: what's the alternative? Well, the first one is of course eBay, which many hobbyists already use. However, eBay is obviously less catered to model horse hobbyists and is therefore a bit harder to search if you're deep in the hobby and can't be assed to look through 4000 "plastic horse" titled listings to find the 2008 SR glossy xX Devilish Girlfriend++ Thoroughbred you want. MH$P occupied a specific niche for long time fans looking for grails.
So what are our alternatives for people in the hobby looking to buy from others in the hobby? Well, there's a few decentralized official dealers like Chelsea's Model Horses or Triple Mountain who you can consign older models to, but going through a middleman takes time and you have much less freedom in your personal listings. Alternatively, you could go grassroots and post listings in Facebook groups and on forums, but those have reaches limited to the members of those specific, often small, groups, and it can be hard to move stock that way. So now people are looking for a backup marketplace platform, both for the current situation and longtime health of the hobby. But imagine my surprise when I went on Model Horse Blab and saw people suggesting an alternative site kickstarted by
STAR STABLE ONLINE YOUTUBER DENIS/DENISE WISESTORM. Denis has been a controversial figure in the SSO fandom (though there's pretty much no uncontroversial ssotubers especially on ssoblr because clickbaiting and weird reactionary takes are like the bread and butter of that side of the fandom) who's been called out for having some alt-right homophobic views in the past, as well as for his abject and unproductive negativity towards improvements made on the game. He's a lps customizer and pretty prolific breyer collector, though, so his drive to create a model trading and selling platform makes sense at least. But still! Why him!!!!!!

i hope you find something that interests you! i might go back and check out the stickers again sometime. sorry that i couldn't be of much help!! <33

☝️ to Habu.org in fact, the first 6 SR-71As were retained by the US Air Force (USAF) and Lockheed (3 each) as flight test aircraft, where new systems and configurations would be tested before being applied to the rest of the fleet. The next two aircraft produced (#956 and #957) were both SR-71B trainers, and were never flown outside of the US.
So SR-71 #955 was a test bird destined to spend her flying career in the US, primarily in Southern California.
But this Blackbird had a secret life. #955 in fact was used overseas on one occasion.
Equipped with The Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar System [ASARS-1] (is a real-time, high-resolution reconnaissance system carried on the SR-71 with all-weather, day-night, long-range mapping capabilities. ASARS-1 detects and accurately locates stationary and moving ground targets). The system can survey more than 100,000 square miles of the Earth’s surface in one hour. The US Navy needed a way to photograph the Soviet Union’s submarines that were carrying ballistic missiles capable of flying over the North Pole and hitting targets in the US. What they needed was high resolution radar. The #955 was flown to Beale and repainted with the tail number #962… this was to not alarm the tail watchers that would surely notice a new tail number over in Europe. She departed on Jul. 9, 1983 from Beale Air Force Base (AFB) in California. Before arriving at RAF Mildenhall she flew across the Barents Sea. The SR was able to photograph and tag the Soviet submarines. After two more missions in Europe she return to Beale on Jul. 20 where she was repainted with tail number #955 and returned to Palmdale Keeping her secret life to herself.
The mission was such a success that it regenerated the SR-71 program. More and more requests came from Navy and the CIA. The result was that on Apr. 5, 1984 Det 4 was given blanket clearance from the United Kingdom government to permanently assigned two SR-71s to RAF Mildenhall.
The SR’s stayed there until the end of the Cold War, a true statement can be made that the SR-71’s helped win the Cold War.
Is there might be a connection between this flight to Europe and the Rudder painted #955 with the Skunk Works logo for sale for $1 million on eBay! It is now on display at the San Diego flight Museum.
This is the answer I found. There were a stack of old SR-71 rudders in the DRMO (Scrapyard) at Norton AFB to be sold off for scrap when the program closed down. A few made it to private hands. The majority of them were composite rudders that had a limited lifespan compared to the metal rudders used for most of the program. The one in San Diego likely came from this selection of scrap rudders.

so I’ve been looking at your custom action figure posts and I think they’re amazing! I’ve recently started doing the same for MCU characters I can’t find or are too expensive but was using action figures from my Star Wars collection I generally don’t want anymore. which leads to my question of where do you normally get the figures you use to custom from? I’ve tried looking on eBay with little success. anyways, your work is inspiring. Keep it up. 👍🏽
Thanks for the kind words! It makes me happy when people say my work is inspiring, so thank you.
It's no wonder you have trouble finding figures on eBay. That site is good for some specific things you may want to look for, but I'd avoid it if you're going for the cheaper side since it's riddled with price gougers.
Starting with online sources, the two best sites for low prices are Walmart.com and Amazon. They frequently run sales on action figures in order to cycle older stock, so generally the products that are left are either items that didn't sell well initially or overstock items. As a result, most of the prices for action figures range anywhere from $9-$12 and even lower in some cases. The best way to keep track of when sales happen is to follow a toy news and deal social media account. I'll list some of the best and most reliable ones below.
Now the best retail stores for deals are going to be Walmart, Target, and Game Stop. All three stores are seemingly in a constant state of wanting to cycle out product, so you have a good chance to find good figures of any variety in their clearance sections respectively, however prices may vary depending on the store. Game Stop is a especially good location though since they frequently run deals on clearance items like buy one get one, and if you have an account with them you could potentially get items even cheaper than the reduced price.
Lastly I'd recommend any local Comic Shop or privately owned toy store for potential deals. It's common for collectors to sell access figures they may have or even whole collections to those type of businesses. Most modern Comic Shops have sections with used figures of all verities that are typically listed for a lower second hand rate. This, of course, depends on the store.
I hope you find this information helpful, and I hope I'll get a chance to see some of the things you'll make :)

Hi!! I read Ariah by B.R. Sanders thanks to your rec and I absolutely adored it! Def one of my fav books ever?? I’ve tried to find information about the author and book 2 but so far everything seems a dead end (deleted accounts, abandoned pages, etc.) beside old interviews. Since you’re the one that read Ariah before, I was hoping that perhaps you know what happened? Thank you!
yes i believe the author has stepped away from writing entirely due to health issues, iirc. i dont remember where i read that or if that page still exists, since i was looking this up at the start of this year when i finished ariah. no idea if they gave more information in years prior, but it does unfortunately look like they have no plans to come back to writing.
as for their other books - there are a few, but they are very difficult to get your hands on, if they're not outright lost media.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
there's even this ^ user-added entry on storygraph that implies there might be up to six books in the ariah (?) universe. but ive only ever seen Resistance be available in places like ebay or occasionally abebooks.
oddly enough, while looking this up again just now, i found paperback copies of both Extraction and Resistance on sale right now on amazon and decided to scoop those up. for research purposes. because ive never seen them available like that. and they seem to be print on demand, so now might be a good time to grab them if you're interested. it looks like you can read them with kindle unlimited too, if you have that.
but that's all ive got! maybe there's still a way to privately contact them to find out about the rest of the aerdh books, but i havent gone down that road yet.

Amazon and other Corporate giants are slowly but surely censoring voices that don't tow the mainstream line.
It started with the censoring of Fascists, Nazis and then more broadly the Far-Right. And because these people are completely and utterly detestable, no one said a thing. The Left defended and cheerled for the very things they thought they were stopping.
Now, we see the Private Sector joining forces with Corporate Democrats and Republicans to silence Working Class and Socialist historians and Academics even as the Feds move to arrest and indict Socialist and Communist Parties for imaginary crimes.
But when I went to buy a copy of a particularly controversial Anti-Fascist and Communist Historian's book, I found it pretty quickly on Amazon and other big corporate stores. And none of them have a single copy for sale. You can see it, the book was for sale at some point, but clearly isn't anymore.
In fact, this book has become so rare that I was only able to find three copies on eBay, and the price has gone from $5-7 to $30-40.
Hell you have the State of Texas doing its damned best to teach children that slavery was somehow good for Africans, and even got caught trying to describe LITERAL SLAVES as Immigrant workers.
I am reminded of Martin Neimoller's famous poem:

Where could i buy jumpsuits and uniforms?
There are a number of sources for uniforms.
Online sources like Ebay and Etsy
Facebook Marketplace
Rusty Zipper
Private Collectors
Flea Markets and Garage Sales
Direct from suppliers
Direct from prisons and DOC Prison Industries
My suggestion would be to have any uniform reviewed by someone like me for authenticity and price.

“Archive of Our Own is probably best known as the place to read fans’ carefully crafted Harry Potter prequels or Lord of the Rings stories millions of words long. But the fanfiction website also has a lesser known, though no less important mission: to save older fanfic that’s at risk of disappearing. A new initiative, the Fanzine Scan Hosting Project, aims to make fan stories and art from physical fanzines accessible through the archive, preserving pieces of history previously confined to university libraries, scattered eBay sales, and forgotten corners of attics.
The project is a collaboration with Zinedom, which has been scanning and privately archiving fanzines for many years. Morgan Dawn, the project’s organizer, says that the collaboration actually began with frustration directed at AO3. In 2012, Dawn had scanned a fanzine calledAngel in the Dark, a 144-page novel based on crime drama The Professionals. But when paper documents are scanned, they do not come in easily editable formats, and converting them often introduces many errors that require extensive editing to fix. Not having the energy to do so, she linked out to a Google Drive containing the PDF file. But it was removed from AO3 in 2017, because the link itself was not a fan work.”

Finger on the pulse!
I still check ads. Maybe that Beogram 4000 will come up for cheap. Ya sure.
Lately I have been looking for people selling power tubes. A full set of 6550s matched from my reliable real store source is about $1k CAD. A private sale could be far less.
So I was checking the Canuck (Canadian) Audio Mart. There are a few potentials. One is a full set of 8 almost new, pulled from a different amp brand. There are a couple of sets of 4. The cost would be $600 to $800 with the added risk of no warranty and all that.
When I used the search term "6550 tube" an ad came up from a town in the middle of BC. There are a lot of retirees and people with money. The ad was for an ARC Cl60 amp just like mine but for a black front face. $3900! That is 2.6 times what I paid and tax and shipping on top of that. He also lists it on Ebay for $3750 US! They are a dealer who are very knowledgeable but known for higher prices. He was selling a Sony TT like my old one for almost 2k. Makes me feel very good about my deal.
The ad says they have the original box. Maybe I should offer to buy the box. If I ever need to ship it a crate would be good, but a real ARC box is very solid.
Hifi shark shows prices up to that range which is probably where he looked.
The other Cl60 down here on the coast is still there and the price dropped again now $1850. It has been in the listings for 6 months. I still feel it was not a real situation, it could have been stolen or at least removed from an old person's home. I may just repeat my offer of $900 bucks no questions asked to tease the guy. Hell he may raise the price given that other one, but I think he is not capable of shipping it given my discussions with him. There are a few fans of the brand around here, but if they really wanted it....
I have been toying with the idea of fiddling with the chassis to make the test points externally accessed. 6 banana jacks 3 per side with wires run to the circuit board. It would make bias a very simple process. Key to getting it right is temperature. You need the covers on to get operating temp, but off to test the voltages.
Down side is that I would be putting a 420 volt potential in an easier to get to place. Well that is the point, no? Maybe I could get a danger sticker with skull and cross bones?
Like I say I know enough to be dangerous.

Extra FFXIV Fanfest ticket available!
Update (3/8/23 9:45pm):
I have compiled a list of all entries (from replies and DMs here on my blog and over on the bird) and am continuing to accept them until midnight PST. Shortly after, I will reach out to one person in private. The sole requisite to having your entry count is to be damn sure you will attend Fanfest for reasons I hope are clear to all. Please message me before the cutoff time if you have any further questions. Thanks for your patience.
-
Expanding on this from my twitter post:
I have a spare FFXIV Fanfest code as a consequence of several friends entering the lottery as a sort of fail-safe, and a couple (including me) actually winning. The thought of using eBay or some other sale/auction site for this seems inherently unsavory; you don’t have to be following me, but I just want to keep it within the immediate reach of the XIV community. While I don’t have a price, you’re free to make offers. If I get more than one response across both platforms, I will choose someone at random by the end of tomorrow.
To be sure, this is an unused code meant for two (2) tickets.
If you’re interested, leave a comment or DM me.

It's a crazy story of a composite rudder of SR-71 #955 that was for sale on eBay for a cool million dollars 💰💵Someone ripped part of it open to see what was on the inside, and here you see the honeycomb composites! They were used to reduce the (RCS) radar cross-section of the airplane; the Electronic defenses were so good that the radar cross-section reduction wasn’t as necessary, so the rudders were made out of titanium without the honeycomb. There was a stack of these honeycomb rudders that were taken from supplies when they started using the all-titanium ones.
A man put the tail rudder up for sale for $1 million, and no, he didn’t get paid $1 million; in fact, somehow, the San Diego Air & Space Museum, which has an A-12 in front of it, has this very rudder on display in the basement of the Museum! So, if you ever go to San Diego and visit the museum, will you have a story to tell….
Where did the Rudder come from? There was a stack of old SR-71 rudders in the DRMO (Scrapyard) at Norton AFB to be sold off for scrap when the program closed down. A few made it to private hands. The majority of them were composite rudders that had a limited lifespan compared to the metal rudders used for most of the program. The one in San Diego likely came from this selection of scrap rudders. So this explains why the SR 71 number 955 is on display in the desert outside of Edwards Air Force Base, has both of its rudders.
Did I solve the mystery? Pretty much the guy who took the rudder and put it up for sale on eBay sent me these pictures, but for some reason, he didn’t want me to use his name.😀

Hi! Got a question for you that you don't have to answer. But I was wondering where you got your Commodore 64 systems from? I'm watching the main sites like Facebook, Ebay, Etsy, etc. But I can't find anything at my current price range.
Ive owned 7 different Commodore 64s in the past 19 years. Here's how I got them:
Online sale (not ebay), a neighbor found it on the curb, ebay, bonus surprise with other stuff when I picked up an ebay purchase for an extra few bucks, ebay, private sale via discord, private sale from a coworker.
@aperture-in-the-multiverse and @ms-dos5 each have one of the two I re-homed.
Ebay C64s take time, patience, and a little luck to find for a reasonable deal

Today in Great Lakes shipping history. June 23rd.
1929: The WILLIAM G. CLYDE (Hull#804) was launched at Lorain, Ohio, by American Shipbuilding Co., for the Pittsburgh Steamship Co.
1948: CRETE and J.P. MORGAN JR. were in a head-on collision, in fog, off the Apostle Islands, Lake Superior. Both ships suffered extensive damage. Two were killed, 3 more injured, aboard the latter steamer. ALTADOC and E.A.S. CLARKE also collided in fog near the Apostle Islands but the damage, while requiring repairs, was less serious.
1972: The ALGOWAY (Hull#200) at Collingwood, Ontario, by Collingwood Shipyards Ltd., for Algoma Central Railway. She was scrapped at Port Colborne, Ontario, in 2018.
Titanic submersible tragedy has a link to Seaway
2023: There is a St. Lawrence Seaway connection to the ill-fated submersible Titan, aboard which five men have been lost on an expeditionary dive to the Titanic. The vessel Polar Prince, which took Titan out to the site and was the attending vessel, is the ex-Canadian Coast Guard Ship Sir Humphrey Gilbert.
CCGS Sir Humphrey Gilbert entered service with the Department of Transport Marine Service in 1959, was transferred to the newly created Canadian Coast Guard in 1962 and was active until 2001. The icebreaker was sold to private interests in Newfoundland and renamed Polar Prince, sitting mostly idle until resold in 2009 to GTX Technology Canada Limited for service in the Arctic Ocean as a commercial icebreaker.
The ship was taken out of service in 2001. In 2002, the icebreaker was sold to Puddister Trading Co. Ltd of St. John’s and renamed Polar Prince. In 2002, the vessel was acquired by Star Line Inc. In 2005, the vessel was laid up and put up for sale by Star Line on eBay. The vessel was later sold to GX Technologies, Calgary, Alberta, in 2009 and was modernized
In 2017, Sir Humphrey Gilbert docked at the Canadian Coast Guard base, Prescott, ON, to be stripped of all government-issued stores and equipment. She was renamed Polar Prince there in 2017. The vessel was temporarily rechristened Canada C3 and used for a high-profile voyage around Canada’s three maritime coasts as part of the nation’s 150th anniversary. During that voyage she made it as far west as Toronto.
In November 2021 the ship was purchased by Miawpukek Horizon Maritime Service Ltd, a joint venture between Horizon Maritime and the Miawpukek First Nation, a company that has trained Indigenous cadets as seafarers for offshore supply vessels.
In June 2023, Polar Prince was chartered by OceanGate Inc. for an OceanGate Titanic Expedition, the scientific and tourist mission to the wreck of the Titanic.

I am a weak larrie if that but I've been researching that jumper all morning and yeah the results are very convincing. Not available online from any retailer, only has been available in the past through a few private sales on Etsy and Ebay, and is currently only possibly available on Poshmark from a single listing that specifically calls it Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles' jumper. It's obviously highly rare... On top of that it seems to be the only Umbro Harry has ever been seen wearing but Louis has been spotted in not only Umbro but rare, vintage Umbro... As well as rare, vintage clothes from other sports brands... Ik this was already discussed in 2020 but I wrote it off as just a reach about them wearing the same brand. Didn't realize how wild it is. Maybe they really have been together all along haha shit
Hi, anon!
Yeah, they have been together all along! We talked about the umbro jumper extensively back when Harry first wore it. It's definitly the same jumper. It's vintage and well worn, and i think i remember people finding a loose thread or a mark on it or something that could be seen on the jumper in both louis' picture and harry's? And knowing they are together, them having two very similar looking jumpers like that is unlikely (why would they?), that's telling me it's the same one.
It's so interesting that he's bringing it back now. Larries haven't been fed in so long. What gives? Surely it's not hs4 promo time yet, and i doubt this is seeding so...reassurance of us larries maybe, or a signal of a ramp up in stunting?
