its interesting that while Buck is expected to breakup with Tommy, and to explore his sexuality and date/fuck around before he eventually gets with Eddie, the same is not expected of Eddie in parts of this fandom.
Eddie is expected to figure out that: 1) he likes Buck, and 2) that he's gay, in that order preferably by some, and then only be with Buck forever.
There is no expectation of him also dating/fucking around or exploring his sexuality, at least not the way we're seeing it being said with Buck. In fact, some of them are very against this and believe he is supposed to only ever be with Buck and no other men are to be seen or heard from ever.
Eddie, who is headcanoned as being gay, is to somehow figure out he likes a specific man and then only ever be with that man. but Buck, who is canonically bisexual, is expected to break up with Tommy, a relationship that so far has had no problems, and then date/fuck around until Eddie gets his shit together??
How does that make any sense? And how about am I supposed to see that as anything but more biphobia?
No one else in this show is expected to fuck around and explore their sexuality. They fell in love and got together just like that, like so quickly it's not even funny. Why's Buck expected to have to explore his options?
And why should Buck have to wait around for anyone? How is that fair to him and how does that even get him off the hamster wheel? He's just supposed to go on an endless cycle of dates and breakups and hookups until Eddie so fucking graciously bestows his affections upon him?
How about no.
ngl it also makes me wonder why Eddie is seen as gay (not even seen tbh, there's a hardcore belief that he has to be gay) and not bisexual even though he has also dated women.
The only real difference between Buck and Eddie's dating history is Buck's S1 hoe phase (i mean besides the way they treat their partners, I'm so fucking tired of Eddie being called comphet because he's a shit partner and that somehow means he has to be gay). I mean, the show has told and shown us that they're both attracted to women. Is it just cuz Eddie never had a hoe phase that that somehow means he can't be bisexual?
Buck has dated women, Eddie has dated women. Buck had a hoe phase, Eddie did not have a hoe phase. So? Fucking around = bi?? Not fucking around = gay??
I can't see any reason for this weird ass discrepancy with how they are viewed and treated but biphobia and further perpetuation of the promiscuous bisexual stereotype if imma be honest.

The Magician's Favorite ~Bad Ending Reincarnation of the Villainous Lady, Captured by the Chamberlain Who Was Supposed to Be Her Nemesis~ - By Ajitaro (7/10)
This one lacks action, and it is too formulaic. It feels very rushed and there are no real plot twists. The yandere is very extreme, but I have to say some spice is missing. That spice is a good protagonist. Reincarnation protagonists do not have to be boring, and bland self-inserts are always a detriment. Especially in a yandere story, where the heroine is supposed to be a prize worthy of obsession and bloodshed.
It starts with a lame kidnapping.
Why?
Because there's no need for a set up.
The character bios explain the entire tale and more.
Sofia isn't wicked but she's afraid of destiny. She's in an otome game and her villainess character often dies.
Illias, the mage, is her #1 killer. The cause of most of her in game deaths. She chose to be kind, but sometimes she is still afraid of her loyal friend.
She took off his slave collar.
He put it on.
They share mutual respect and it's nice.....supposedly.
I admit the fiancé is funny. He's a really nice guy. The old game heroine doesn't even get introduced because...well Sofia isn't evil so the prince is very happy with her. He looks forward to their marriage.
Sofia wants to break it because alot of her deaths involve him too.
Zia, the heroine, has clearly been replaced. All of the main events now involve the kind and benevolent Sofia.
She has horrible nightmares about her death.
Illias drugs her and he decides to make her his wife by force, to save her from her unwanted marriage.
He's still wearing the collar.
He says she can kill him if she doesn't want him.
(Yandere kidnappings are reliant on writing. If the unhinged rant ain't good half the fun drains away. Illias isn't terrible, but he's just ok.)
The plot twist is he spied on her. He looked at her dreams because he did not trust her. He seems to think she's paranoid, so he offers her protection and a life with him. He's more than willing to spirit her away, because he was envious of her fiancé.
Neat and tidy.
Not messy enough.
Its alright...

(separating this into its own post bc I need the validation of the radiostatic enjoyers)
Alastor absolutely believes that everyone else ALSO thinks that Vox is the most charming and attractive demon in hell, it's just an objective fact - just like how Vox is an annoying clout-chaser constantly trying to upgrade himself towards more and more validation
--
Like imagine, for whatever reason, Vox is at the hotel and he's bitching about Valentino, and Alastor is nearby because he doesn't like or trust Vox alone in HIS hotel.
Vox: And then the fucker said that he only sleeps with 10s AND Vox! That absolute bitch, how DARE he?! After everything we've built!
Alastor, confused: The distinction makes sense. I fail to see how THIS is the thing you take fault with, considering everything else lacking in the moth.
Vox, mortally offended that his rival-crush ALSO thinks he's ugly and trying to pretend he doesn't care about it: uh, FUCK YOU?!
Alastor, now both confused and offended: If he included you in the scale, no one else would rate a 10? Although I suppose it is true about what they say about television rotting the brain, if your offense is taken at a rare show of consideration and NOT the publicized and continuous cheating. Ha ha!
Vox is so caught off guard that his screen immediately glitches, and it's not until he does a full system reboot that he can even RESPOND to what Alastor just said.
Alastor is making fun of his flimsy technology when Vox comes to.
Angel is cracking up in the background, watching this entire thing go down.
Vox has no idea where to go from here.

i know everyone is really mad at kotoko, but i’ve been thinking a bit about why she ended up like this
I have a friend who has a really similar mindset to kotoko, so i'm kinda familiarized with how it works. as i've said before, she really sees everything in black and white, and while she originally said she would forgive those who did the same as her (basically amane, and fuuta to some extent), after her t1 inno verdict, her ideals got reinforced, well, more like radicalized and pushed them a step further, losing her original self/mindset in the process
every time i talk to this friend about kotoko, they really do see themselves in kotoko, and with everything currently going on (and them going to therapy and trying to be a better person, and just getting bad looks from others when they talk) has made them notice how some stuff isn't that good or how it's frowned upon. my friend has a black and white sense of justice, and when i told them about how kotoko would’ve harm amane, they went “it's good to know she wouldn't spare the child” (i know, messed up). their context to that is, we all know how children can be some of the most horrible people in earth, innocence can be seen as beautiful, but it can also be terrifying. their argument is that when children commit a crime, they're not trial respectively to what they committed, a child who killed someone doesn't get the same repercussions as an adult who killed someone.
having said that, that mindset comes from a place of black and white morals, of difficulties during childhood, of seeing how people arent brought to justice and of how one suffers so much but no one cares. this friend struggles with empathy and struggles to understand others in general. the main difference they have with kotoko is that they try, that they were put in situations where they had to face reality and other people
i believe kotoko must’ve went through something that in the end pushed her to this belief system. “it doesnt excuse what she did” i know, but i still think if she have had someone to guide her towards the right path, someone who she actually connected with and showed her why her actions and beliefs were harmful, this wouldn't have ended like this…
now here, im not asking people to forgive her, i actually think that a guilty verdict this trial would be really good for her and hopefully would force her to face reality in some way
