I walked out of the theatre today irritated because two people decided to not only go on their phones in the movie but turn on their flashlights and take a phone call in the middle of it. They didn't leave for the phone call.

Also please learn the etiquette for yourself if you don't know it (no talking above a quiet whisper to the people you're with, phones off or on silent, etc).

the "aid" the US sent is 9 years expired food MREs that they can't cook because they don't have enough clean drinking water to make it edible. It's expired, by at least nine years. They stopped including the Tabasco sauces in MREs in 2015.

How are Gazans meant to make these? You need water to rehydrate the food. If they get food poisoning from eating nearly a decade old food, what do you think will happen to them? To the people who have been starving for months and are impoverished and malnourished? Who don't have the water and nutrients you need to heal yourself from sickness? And to top it all off, the food is Haram. They sent mostly pork and other haram meals. And halal MREs exist. Troy and Abed were so fucking groundbreaking, man. I don't think I can articulate enough how amazing it felt, and still feels, to have two characters who are characterized so strongly by their neurodivergence featured in the same story. (There is literally an entire subplot of an episode devoted to the concept of Abed being an alien observing humanity from afar.) And neither one of them is a math or science expert! Or white! And they're best friends. And they're both hilarious!

And they're incredibly different people.

I can't think of many pieces of media that achieve that, before or since.

amab and afab, if they were used as shorthand for the actual full phrases that they signify, with emphasis on the "assigned" part, and an understanding that they are enforcements of normative (ie, dyadic and cisgender and binary) sex, would be like. really useful. but people took the terms and started using them as shorthand FOR normative sex instead of the ENFORCEMENT OF normative sex. so when other trans people (almost always dyadic trans people) ask for your agab they are almost always asking for your Original Genital Situation. your starting point, so to say. and the reason FOR asking is also almost always bc they are trying to also enforce a certain kind of normativity within queer spaces (which is stupid bc being queer is inherently non-normative but here we are). like, you cant be a lesbian if you're ftm, bc you ARE m, so if you ARE a lesbian, then that means you're lying about some aspect of your identity. does that make sense?

it is always always always incredibly.... i do not trust dyadic trans people that use cagab terms, even moreso than i do not trust dyadic trans people that just use agab terms. agab is also coopted intersex language, but the "coercive" part of cagab SPECIFICALLY refers to medical "intervention" of intersex characteristics, such as "corrective" surgeries and hrt. i am deeply fucking suspicious of any dyadic trans person that uses those terms exactly the same as described above, even moreso if they do so bc "all gender is coercive".

like. yeah. that's true. but you use these terms to erase and overtake intersex discussions on the medical abuse of intersex infants. and i cant help but wonder why you would feel the need to do that.

YEYEYYSYESSSS I AGREE SO HARD. i think my fav trope maybe ever is the "non-human character can't control the movements of their tail/wings/whatever when they get tickled" Especially when it in turn signifies that they like the tickles !!!!!! it's so. AUghh. Yeah. anti-fairies don't even have tails I just like drawing them with them to fit my own sick agenda

ANYWAYS yeah ahem i think it would be super cute if fairies flap their wings uncontrollably when they get tickled.. partly as a reflex, but it also happens out of embarrassment/being flustered.
