ALPHA KIDS: Draw your best friends!

DIRK: I'd say I'm better at one on one character interaction work of the more intimate variety, but I think this piece came together nicely. DIRK: Fun for the whole family style wholesomeness, any motherfucker in the radius of a screen displaying this image will instantly get hit with a sore case of heartburn and their tear ducts will clock in overtime at the weeping factory.

ROXY: im so proud of these i think these are my best designs yet :3 but omg dirk callie and jake were SOOO peculiar about their damn designs over my shoulder. jake wanted me to clarify that even in pink pen form his little guy is BLUE. so there. sigh this is the one occasion they could take notes from janey.. JUST LET LE ARTIST WORK!

JANE: Boy! I don't draw often but I always was fond of calligraphy growing up. I was kind of inspired by all of the other's works, but especially Calliope's swirls she puts in her art. It's very fun to add!

JAKE: Im not quite the best with posing, but i find the head very fun to study! Especially skulls.. so good ole calliope makes for the perfect muse! (hehe)

CALLIOPE: i realized i hadn't ever made a piece with Us in the same place at once. u_u CALLIOPE: bUt since it's reality now here's all of Us together, United at last! ^u^

Not to be too dramatic about my feelings towards a character from the nineteenth century but I've lately realised that Mr Darcy's character arc is very comforting to my inner child. Specifically, to the teenager who once stood up to men who wronged me, to men who should've listened to me when I told them how damaging their behaviour was, to men who should've changed their ways... but unfortunately didn't and, instead of realising how damaging they were, instead lashed out at me for pointing out how awful their conduct was.

I love the way that Mr Darcy never seriously directs the anger he undoubtedly feels at receiving such harsh criticism from Elizabeth towards her, just because she happened to be the person to finally point out how awfully he behaved. Apart from the letter he wrote which was a little bitter (though I think you can cut him some slack for it because it was hastily written when he was still reeling from her rebuke) after that moment, he takes his frustration out on himself; he earnestly listens to her criticism and reforms his behaviour all while expecting nothing in return because being a better person is the right thing to do.

Forget the beautiful estate, his wealth and his looks, it's that ability to admit his faults and mistakes and to eventually change his ways.. that is what I find so compelling about Mr Darcy as a character.

Homestuck Epilogue where on Earth C the kids do literally ANYTHING other than get into politics or become hermits… Part 1

So I kinda made up my own epilogue for homestuck back when I was in college… Just a thing to kinda entertain myself while sitting through the classes that didn’t apply to my major lmao. But now I’ve been out two years and what’s an unemployed 24 year old loser supposed to do with all this free time and a newfound affection for these characters? Fuckin draw them ofc! I tried rlly hard to kinda combine elements of the mspa style into my own style, but it clearly needs some work.

Basically the plot of my epilogue au/rewrite/whatever the fuck you call it is that for the first like 100 years of them being on Earth C, the kids wanted to figure themselves out and live their lives now that they were free from the game and in a world where nothing can really hold them back. Since a lot of them lived their early years in almost to complete isolation, they pretty much wanted to be involved in their new society. Tho since society had already p much developed since they skipped ahead 5000 years, they just let the people do their thing while they did their own things. The kids only rlly got involved if they rlly had to.

But then after about 100 years of doing things, all the kids just kinda went MIA and nobody knows what they’re up to. Sure Rose and Kanaya still manage the mother grub, Jane still runs her company, and sometimes you might see Dirk out behind an Earth C Denny’s at 3am, but for the most part everyone is kinda gone. Where? Only I know :)

Anyway I’m gonna do a part 2 with the surviving trolls and Calliope… eventually…
