I might write a jercy fic where basically Percy's mom doesn't know that Percy's a halfblood (it could be Jasons mom to but idk) so he lies saying that he spent his summer with his boyfriend (that he doesn't have) and than his mom invites him and his boyfriend over for Christmas and Percy is like "shittttt" and eventually convinces Jason to be his fake bf but they both have feelings for one another

Im not such a fem!Percy Jercy kinda guy (most just cause I’ve never read it or thought about it) but like, the concept as a whole is just like sad and damned.

The exhaustion of losing the most important your life and being another into the world is like living life of this constantly grating and testing seesaw that’s unforgiving in pace. One side of you is now needing to live again because you have this little life that is in your hands now, but the other side is still lost in the grief of losing your other half.

Percy going through this is like kryptonite to me. Percy has been one of my favorites since I was in elementary school and since my creative bones have woken up, making him sad is a hobby. “Fixing” him through bittersweet means like this is torturous but also so fulfilling if you get what I mean?

For your concept, I imagine it would be a daily struggle for Percy. Everyday with a little bundle who makes her struggle with emotions and exhaustion in a way that taxes her more than depression already did pushes her to near exceeding limits everyday, but their little look alike also manages to heal still raw wounds. Even on the worst of days, their baby manages to fix something small within him, to allow some light to crack through that thick darkness that built up after Jason died. The darkness never fully goes away, but for their little one, it ceases to control every aspect of her life.

Huge disclaimer that kids shouldn’t be used as objects of “healing” but there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that kids can heal broken parts of us. I love writings with babies and kids just being exactly what they are and their gardians just being like “wow, I really have to change myself for this kid because I just love them so much. I never thought I could find happiness like this again, blah blah blah” it’s so AAAAAAAA

Listen to this idea, so Percy feels guilty about Jason's death because he knows that if he had been there he would have saved him, think about it is this constant thought of "I am the son of Poseidon, who controls the sea" "I am the one who controls the sea and just when I could have done it I didn't", Being a son of forbidden is hard and they always stress it then when he somehow "accepts it" (why really he won't not completely we all know) and takes what he has to help he can't, he couldn't help Jason when he could have, it's not his fault but he feels it that way.

Spiderman is a superhero with this doubt too, he didn't want to be spiderman he never asked for something like that when he accepts it and decides to do something (I'll be taking Andrew's spiderman but it works with everyone) he can't, he needed to be a spider he needed to be a hero and he failed to be there for Gwen ?

So now Percy spiderman?

While he meets Jason (Gwen), what would happen in this story?

Dead.

It was a word Perseus Jackson was all too familiar with.

The word described too many of his friends and too few of the people who wanted to kill him but there was one person who he couldn't stand the word describing.

Jason Grace.

The boy he had been in love with almost since he laid eyes on him. The boy he seemed to be attached at the hip with. The boy who made him realize that he was pansexual and not in love with Annabeth.

The boy who was now in fact, dead.

And that was why Percy was sitting on the floor of his cabin, sobbing his eyes out.

There was another thing about the word death.

Percy was all to used to it.

So he was rather confused why this was hitting him so hard.

Of course maybe it was because Jason was his bestfriend or maybe it was because he was in love with him.

But it had been over a month since Jason had died so why was Percy barely able to survive, barely eating, and crying most days and all nights.

Sure, these were all normal ways of grieving. But not for Percy Jackson.

He had so much going on that he pushed himself, skipping most of the stages of grief purely because he didn't have time for it. Of course he hated this but there was nothing he could do about it.

But with Jason it was different. He didn't have the time to grieve but he made it.

This was Jason Grace. The love of his life, even if it was one sided.

Percy would rather be Jason's best friend for years and not be his lover than to have Jason die.

Sadly, Percy didn't get to choose.

Or did he?

Percy knew there was no way to bring Jason back. Once someone dies, they stay dead. Not even Hades himself could change that.

But if Hell wouldn't give him what he wanted, he'd bring hell to Earth.

If he, Perseus Jackson was going to suffer, he'd bring the world down with him
