House Harkonnen has ruled over the galaxy’s spice hub for eighty years, eighty years in which they have brought power and prosperity to the planet. They should have two more decades. Two more decades of glory and gore, but to the surprise of many, the desert planet has been stolen and handed over on an oh so pretty platter to House Atreides. Paulus, ever-loyal to the emperor, accepted this platter, thus allowing he and his household to begin preparing for their migration to Arrakis. He feels the need to proceed with great caution, though, because this migration reeks of treachery, of turmoil and tension that may yet swallow them, may consume them whole.

Anyone 18 or older interested in a Doctor Who, Good Omens, Jessica Jones, Harry Potter, or Fright Night roleplay? I'm looking for someone that is a semi-literate or literate roleplayer who would be willing to play the 10th Doctor, Crowley, Kilgrave, Peter Vincent, or Barty Crouch Jr.for my character. An ask focused on Kitty now ^^ (It's late so I apologize if this doesn't look coherent 😅)

I can imagine in the Fairytale AU, Kitty got Doom's and Jessica's attention by being the little rebel she is and getting on some corrupt nobles/courtiers bad side (by calling them out in the middle of the street). Jessica admires Kitty's morals and how she doesn't let the upper class push her around, and manages to help Kitty out of trouble. Kitty may not at first trust Jessica because she's entertaining the company of the corrupt judge, but eventually the two bond ^^ (and that's how Kitty finds out about Jessica's live for a certain rabbit jester, and how she could help said jester confess his love for her 👀)

Doom however, knows that Kitty will mean trouble for him. She's proven that she won't remain silent about any misdemeanor she may witness. And if she's friends with Jessica, Kitty may try to convince her that Doom is an enemy (not that Jessica doesn't know herself. She just needs time to find a way to handle Doom). And for his plan, that is absolutely not an option. But sentencing an innocent girl to the dungeons wouldn't curry any favors from the princess... Perhaps it'd be best to utilize his weasels henchmen? (And that's how Kitty meets the Toon Patrol in this AU)

What do you think? Of course Kitty is your character, so you'd be the best judge on whether or not this is in character for her and what her role in this AU would be ^^ but either way, I hope this is a fun read anyway!

I was actually going to send in a Kitty ask about this so here we go!

Okay yes, yes Kitty does curse out Doom or at least one of his advisors or courtiers who were perhaps shoving the "rabble" out of the way. In this case, being three toon blind mice whom the courtier was stepping on their tails. Kitty knows she'll be arrested at best or executed at worst for her insubordination so tries to keep a low profile and just earn some money doing menial jobs around town to keep her and her father able to pay Doom's outrageous tax laws but she just couldn't let it happen. Or maybe she stopped an execution by poison (Dip) for one of the fairytale creatures. This is how Valiant gains an awareness of her and sees her being taken into the castle dungeons. He follows using his Privateer status and allegiance to the crown to gain access and ask her a few questions. He breaks into the jail only to see the girl being entertained by the minstrel rabbit who apparently murdered Duke Marvin. But how? He...doesn't really seem the type. That's how they team up in this AU because Roger knows Valiant once protected the fairy tale animals.

I think Kitty rises in the ranks after Jessica takes pity on her like you said. But not after some encouragement (and white lies) from Valiant that Kitty is actually Princess Katherine, who went missing from a neighbouring kingdom as a baby and now by welcoming her they can establish an alliance with that kingdom. Kitty is dressed, made up and schooled in royal duties however much she hates it or finds it tiresome. She does, however enjoy the access to the castle's library as reading and education will prove important to someone of her status. She could pull her father and her out of poverty. And she does end up enjoying horse riding with Jessica and chats in the throne room.

Kitty is protected by the weasel bandits and tries to remain on their good side by addressing them politely and sharing food with them. They are not used to being treated with kindness. Jessica mostly ignores them as she's unimpressed with their unseemly gambling, hedonism and general violence. Judge Doom just hits them if they do something wrong. Smartass wonders how someone of royal blood can behave so...not so. Although he's certain he's seen her somewhere before when they were raiding a nearby settlement...

His signature was in the form of pressing his ring into wax and signing his name alongside it. Straightening back up to look back to his family. The backdrop of the green and gold flags and a vastness of Caladan behind them. Leto knew to make every moment he had left there count.

The House almost immediately began to pack. Everything they could take would be going with them. By Day 2 he was sick of it. Delegated what duties he could and removed the rest. Taking his leave to seek out Jessica.

She too had her hands full with preparation, they’d both barely had time for themselves, let alone together. She’d been in the grand hall trying to get rid of one of his family heirlooms. The head of the bull which had slain his father. Complete with horns still stained and polished. He quietly walked up behind her. Hand reaching for the small of her back to let her know he was there. His voice directed to her staff.

“You can pack the heirloom, it’s to be placed in the dining room in Arrakeen. Thank you.”

He shot Jessica an accusing look then smiled, a tease in his tone. “If I didn’t know you better. I’d say you were trying to throw that heirloom out.” Leaving it here would essentially be throwing it out. They weren’t going to be coming back. Not any time soon. Everything that was theirs must go with them.

“I want you to clear your schedule.” He tried to say it in a tone that conveyed his ‘no big deal’ kind of attitude, but his restlessness could be picked up on by the trained Bene Gesserit. He meant that she should clear her schedule, right now.
