yes girl you are so [if i loved you less i might be able to talk about it more] [hands are unbearably beautiful] [i'll take care of you it's rotten work not to me not if it's you] [if you are intolerable let me be the one to tolerate you] [i could recognise him by touch alone] [i love you i want us both to eat well] [on purpose i love you on purpose] [whatever our souls are made of his and mine are the same] [i am half agony half hope] [you have bewitched me body and soul and i love love love you] [he is half of my soul as the poets say] [i'm sick of people saying that love is all a woman is fit for but i'm so lonely] [i love you most ardently] [let me stay tender hearted despite despite despite] [someone has to leave first this is a very old story there is no other version of this story] [mostly i want to be kind] [tell me how all this and love too will ruin us] [you said i killed you haunt me then] [someone somewhere can you understand me a little love me a little] [i will love you as misfortune loves orphans as fire loves innocence and as justice loves to sit and watch while everything goes wrong] [sorry about the blood in your mouth i wish it was mine] [who will come into my kitchen and be hungry for me] can we kiss now

If i had a nickel for every time Martin Freeman has walked into what he thought would probably be a pretty standard role and instead delivered absolutely flawless performances of repressed middle aged queer men who come into their own by swearing loyalty to a tall, brooding, unhealthily driven brunette who was obviously doomed by the narrative, I'd have at least two nickels (I haven't seen the Marvel one) which isn't a lot, but im extremely grateful it happened twice.
Also, I stop to say a little thank you to the universe every time I remember again that Richard Armitage played Thorin because truly there could have been no one in the world better for the role, gods bless 💕

A preview of Fantastic Four #16
FANTASTIC #16
When a teacher shares a list of inventions a scientist from the 1600s hoped future generations would one day make, Valeria and Franklin Richards decide to go for bonus points…by ticking off some of those unfinished items and inventing the impossible. Enlisting the aid of Jo-Venn and N’Kalla Grimm, the four of them engage in a little amateur mad science that quickly spirals out of hand! Do they go to their parents and ask for help? Of course not! A couple of kids can easily fix this, right? According to the couple of kids involved in this series of bad decisions: yes! Absolutely! Nothing will possibly go wrong. Also featured in this issue: several things going wrong!

i think for me literature is about identity. the one thing all my favorite books have in common is characters that are told who they ought to be, how they should behave, what to aspire for. be it a prophecy, following their parents steps or “not wasting their potential”. and the character just can’t do that. because they don’t want to, because of their morals, because it goes against their nature, it doesn’t matter. it’s every time the same story and simultaneously is a different story every single time.
it all goes back to pinocchio wanting to be a real kid.
