Well the origin is the show itself, lmfao:

It's essentially the idea that there is (and has been) a structure in place for Macdennis becoming canon. AKA Macdennis is not fanon/shippers reading too much into the show, but a deliberate, slow-burn narrative being written and told by RCG.

BUT if you don't know what the structure is, I could not recommend watching this video by @youreeatingthedog more highly enough.

I've mastered Luna Neo and not so much Sploosh, and I even have 5 stars on both. None of the other weapons come even close to the amount of wins I have on those. tim/jason or tim/bernard?

ignoring the authorial intent and tone of some of their interactions for my own peace of mind and the ability to fully appreciate Tim's character lol (very useful if you read lots of bat comics), and focusing solely on facts, inferring from context to fill in the blanks, Jason and Tim have a good baseline for an interesting dynamic. despite not seeing it as romantic, if a fic author whose takes on the characters I already trusted and liked posted a Jason fic with an interesting premise and it just happened to include it, at this point I might give it a shot (I'm starved for Jason fic if you can't tell xD).

Tim/Bernard is nothing lol. Sns. Whenever I'm looking for dc fic and I see one tagged that (because I never remember to filter the ship out. Because it's nothing) I scroll pass without even looking at the summary. Which might be biased of me but I really can't even imagine what I could get from a story where tagging them was necessary. They're just... irksome.

The other day I blocked an user (for other very funny yet irritating reasons) that posted something about how despite not reading any comics involving the characters or caring about them, Tim/Bernard was superior to the likes of Tim/Steph because it was slash which. Literally just goes to show the only thing that pairing has going for it lmao. Jaytim wins this by default.

when it comes to writing it’s good to think of your brain like a muscle. but keeping that line of thinking I wanted to say that as writers we have different skills and that’s okay. so you may be good at short sprints. others do long. some even do marathons!!!!! whether you write 500 words or 5k words or over 20k words it is still valuable, it’s your work and it is time well spent
