side order was obviously psychological and physical pain for 8 (what else is new) but have you ever thought about how much fun they could've had in certain levels?

mostly with the fact the ∞-ball levels can be a nice session of exposure therapy considering 8 has been an unintentionally traumatized 8-ball murderer for however long they were in the metro (aka: the balls no longer fall!! they're saved!! its a late squidmas miracle!!!!), and also they can occasionally watch from afar as the battering lentos (big boi fishes) somehow solve things while playing with it.

there's also the fact two of the bosses sing BANGERS. absolute icons of their generation. where would we all be without the new idols that are my bois asynchronous rondo and pinging marciale???

also 8 gets to witness the true power of gay moms in the elevator of all places with a very done with life sanitized dj who might as well be their sassy aroace cousin who most definitely talks shit about everyone /j

tl;dr side order is peak comedy at times and fanon 8 should be shown to have at least a bit more fun than ive seen.

after 3 centuries i finally managed to properly redesign my dumbass sona, i was gonna initially just change their hair for a more androgynous look but then i. changed their lore a bit too

basically they volunteer for various jobs like delivering mail and milk, nursing and gardening (even though that's also their hobby)

no one knows their gender or their real name but they go by various plant/nature related names (like willow or sunflower)

TLDR: I fucking despise ship art and fanfics that infantilize Orion Pax / Optimus Prime

Okay so I just wanna put my thoughts out here right now because I've not seen many people talk about it and it honestly bothers me a lot...

So, it's no secret that I ship MegOp and stuff right? I like and have reblogged a bunch of art of them before and I will keep doing so, but something about how this place (or more certain parts of the fandom) portray the ship gives me major icks and I fucking hate it so much

Case in point, a massive part of the TFP fanbase likes to ship Orion and Megatronus and I get that, I get why people like shipping those two but it's the WAY they do it. A lot, not all, but most of the fanart surrounding Orion Pax and Megatronus is him being like the smaller and more submissive one of the relationship which fine, whatever, but most people just end up drawing him REALLY small like ik he's shorter than Megs who was a gladiator and all that and he was an archivist but jesus christ... Aside the size which is weird and all but it's really all about the rampant infantilization of the guy. When they remove all agency from the character and act like Orion is gonna fucking combust the moment someone confronts him or tries to fight him like no... I've not read Exodus but I don't think Orion being a nerdy book guy is gonna make him THAT soft, this is still the same mech who became PRIME like cmon

I don't know the exact words for it other than "infantilization" but like y'know what I mean right?? I'm not gonna name blogs but there's this one AU on here where Orion is blind and it has this cutesy artstyle which is fine but I vividly remember reading a comic on that AU where some thugs confront Orion and he's all like sobbing and shit and has to be saved by someone and it's... so you made him disabled and also a crybaby and absolutely incapable of anything??? Does that NOT give you an ick of sorts or seem weird??? God I don't even know anymore because I've seen many people seem to like that so I'm just scared I'm the weird one and wrong for this lmfao... Maybe there's smthn im not getting, you tell me

Anyways this post is getting real long, but this kind of "infantilization" also applies to certain fanarts of TFA MegOp, I always thought the ship was bordering on kind of strange (since TFA Optimus is like the equivalent of some 20-something college dropout and Megatron is implied to have been doing the war stuff way way way back like Ratchet's time) but I won't get into that, I just don't ship that certain brand of the characters myself, but it's fine, do what you want with it. Just know that I have seen art of those two where they treat TFA Optimus as this sort of incapable cutesy uwu boy (aaaghh)

So yeah.... hahahaha stop infantilizing characters and taking a ship where they're both grown ass big men and like straight up turning the other one into some weird ass incapable version of the character that lacks any and all agency and honestly bordering on being really icky as fuck, thank you, idc if you make Optimus the bottom or whatever, that's not what I mean, cya ✌️

i was rewatching stuff and it got me thinking of the saturn's moons episode ;_; i need to yap so long post incoming. apologies in advanced o7

i feel like this fandom has a tendency to switch up/see things in black and white a lot (very noticeable in the moon club episodes -- which i'll talk about eventually) because the amount of backlash the saturnian moons got whilst Saturn got cradled like a baby. Hm. It's just puzzling to me.

I like both the moons AND Saturn so it was hard to like... dislike either of them? Both of them are doing hurtful things to each other. I don't like when people use the excuse of "he has 146 moons! how could he possibly remember that many!" which, to a degree is fair, but you also have to think about the fact that Saturn has had billions of years to at least memorize his main 7 moons. It's the least he could've done if he cares for them as much as he claims. It's obvious he has clear favoritism and people tend to gloss over that when bashing the other saturnian moons when they get reasonably upset? Saturn is not innocent (in more ways than one), and that's okay. You can still feel bad for him without failing to acknowledge he isn't perfect either.

Not saying the moons are innocent either. They were desperate and rushing the whole ordeal. It's obvious they already have resentment towards Saturn and they honestly could've done that out of desperation and frustration just to get him to listen. The saturnian moons are mean, yeah. (With the exception of Rhea, Tethys and debatably Titan) And I definitely think they should've given Saturn some breathing room but I also don't like... blame them for being as upset as they were? They've been basically neglected/overshadowed for billions of years. I'd be pretty pissed too!

Their relationship with their parent planet is complicated, messy and dysfunctional -- and both sides are flawed, but neither are more bad than the other methinks. When the episode initially released the amount of hate the moons got and babying for Saturn just irked me. While I felt bad for Saturn I could see why the moons were upset but to me I just don't think people got that >_>

Don't get me wrong I love Saturn but he's not perfect and I LOVE that for him. He's a sweetheart but ultimately flawed and his clear favoritism and overall denseness is so good... I cannot wait to see him more of him in the upcoming arcs bcuz you KNOW what's being built up and ugh. so excited I hope he's fucked up even more

Even when you’re a messy work in progress, you are loved and appreciated more than you may recognize. Thank you for being here. Don’t get me wrong it’s good to be idealistic and set goals, but don’t undermine yourself if you don’t get that perfect score….or if you start to fall behind compared to everyone else. Everyone goes through those moments of doubt or perceived failure. We need to fail every once in a while. And that’s okay

Rewatching the skk reunion scene is so weird. It almost plays like a fever dream.

Like,,, it doesn't even feel like a reunion after four years, you get me? The fact that they have been previous partners is more said than it is shown, to the point where I had depicted their dynamic in a shallow 'oh someone Dazai previously knows that he's outsmarting/tormenting? Yeah, that checks. It's like his dynamic with Kunikida but more hostile because they're enemies' way

Que my jaw dropping so hard to the floor once I find out that they've known each other since they were fifteen.

So yeah, maybe I'm just stupid, but Chuuya's introduction didn't really seal the skk dynamic for me (still doesn't, btw). I consider the Lovecraft fight to be the true introduction of what skk really is (read: the true reunion), giving them an aura of immense power via Mori's speech then finding them bickering about random freaking things, till Lovecraft shows up and their compatibility shows with it. So you get the idea that yeah, they were clearly partners.

Besides, it makes more sense given that Chuuya first speaks of what he'd done when Dazai left, because you'd figure out that this is one of the first things he'd mention at a reunion, you know?

But my feelings aside, you know what the in-universe explanation for how weird the dungeon scene is would be?? That this isn't their reunion at all. They've been meeting in secret these past two/four years, only saying otherwise aloud because there are cameras in the torture room or smth dgdgdyehe
