Just some quick info for anyone who might be interested- PidgiWiki has a bunch of high-resolution official PMD artwork archived, as well as most of the official game logos!

When I draw PMD characters, I generally prefer to reference the official PMD artwork (rather than the generic main-series art), so this site has been a major help. Definitely recommend checking it out, even if you wouldn't necessarily need it for that purpose- lots of cool official art to look through on there!

Don’t post if you think it will cause controversy, but I think there was actually some kind of thought (maybe not an actual plan) to lay the Carlos/Iris ground work in Season 1. The cut tamale scene (from the pic they always use) was apparently about Iris in some way (can’t find that source). And we basically didn’t learn anything else about his imperfections in S1 IIRC, so maybe Tim wasn’t completely lying when he said Carlos and Iris had some sort of entanglement way back when…he just dropped the ball and unexpectedly threw it back in our faces when we weren’t…

Oh no I don't think at all that Tim was lying when he said the Iris plot was an idea he had in season one that they never ended up exploring. I fully believe that's true, and Rafa has said something to the same effect. But having had that thought secretly in his mind isn't the same as actually acting on it, right? Just like JKR saying years later that she always thought Dumbledore was gay isn't the same as actually having made him gay in the series (cursed I know I'm sorry but that's the best example I can think of at the moment.) I believe Tim that he thought maybe one day they'd do this. But then they didn't, so it would be disingenuous to say that it was always the plan and that everyone knew that all along and they were laying that groundwork for three seasons. They were not.

I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise anymore, but this is, in fact, just another RWBY fanfiction. I haven't worked on it in a really long time, but it was actually originally a gift for my sister.

It's the second in a series we created where we made all of our favorite ships canon and let all our favorite characters happy endings 😅 we were just trying to cope during the height of the lockdown, really. I think I've said all this before, but I'm not really sure there's much else to say. It's been really fun to write and I want to finish it mainly just because I'm a completionist, but idk if it'll ever get done for real haha.

Maybe if someone else asks about it again I'll talk more about the plot/idea/what it was like to work on it with my brother 🙃
