at first i was a 'fumbling virgin' kanda truther at first, to be honest, and he is!

eager to please but reluctant to show it, he'd be all talk, naturally, but when it comes down to removing your panties or shoving them aside to get down to business he starts to hesitate. you'll have to coax him slowly and laugh away any snapping remark from him ("i know what i'm doing!").

he's a fast learner, because of course he is, and sooner the hesitancy he shows in the beginning is gone. His sex drive is probably normal, maybe even on the lower spectrum -- at least when he's still with the order. between missions and training and scheduling in his usual pissy brooding at 6 pm every day, there's hardly time to get nasty and tacky between the sheets.

this kanda yuu is different for obvious reasons - he will be more sensual with his touches, his movements and looks. more gentle and mellow. he'll touch you like it's his first and last time doing it, kiss you like it too.

I’m glad these two made progress this week and we didn’t seem Mizuki at all. I don’t think that character was as helpful as he could have been to this narrative. I liked the minor switch up where Kaname and Soga had sauna time together. We only have two episodes left, so I’m hoping we get Soga being more confident with physical intimacy with Sakae next week since he asked for more of it repeatedly this episode.

”You can’t be serious.”

You’re seething with anger, warmth heating your cheeks and tears lining your lash line from the overwhelmingly growing frustration building up in you.

Kanda doesn’t spare you a glance from the couch where he takes a sip of his tea. You want to rip the cup from his hands and hurl it towards the wall. He knows that’s what you want to do – he wants you to try.

Calmly, he puts down the cup, with the little finger hitting the table first so it makes no sound as he was taught by Edgar.

“I am.” He answers cooly, leveling your stance with a glance in your direction. Your hands are clenched at your sides.

You’ve been holding in your anger for the past week, ever since getting fired from your job. No emotional reaction, no comments; Kanda hates when you hold it all in.

He knows the road paved to your emotions can be walled up though, so telling you directly to react will simply make you stubborn; make a point out of being just fine.

“That doesn’t mean you have the right to go and actively piss me off for a week straight!”

You’re yelling. Good. Kanda knows it’s about to hit. He’ll take most hits if it helps you, doesn’t even consider them hits, really. He prepares for more yelling, for punching a wall or the couch but what you end up doing is tremendously worse.

You turn around and walk to your shared bedroom. You don’t stomp, you don’t slam the door shut.

Kanda sits wide-eyed on the couch, confused. This isn’t like you; this is a reaction out of his scope of experience with you. Shit.

He fucked up.

Logically, Kanda knows this wasn’t the best route to take, that he sounds like what Lavi would call “red flag-ish”, but he prides himself in successfully getting to know you and your needs over the years you’ve been a couple. If he simply forces you, you will go the other way, refuse to mold into what people want – even if it is what you need.

Some emotions come for you, easier than they do for Kanda, but others do not. Kanda has through trial and error taught himself how to navigate what can often be considered a whirlpool of your emotions. But he’s gone left where he should’ve gone right somewhere the past six days. He’s not entirely sure where.

Kanda doesn’t like being reminded or becoming aware of his shortcomings so the anger he wanted you to feel just a few short moments ago, is suddenly bubbling up inside him for being too emotionally stunted to figure this out on his own. He refuses to call for help. Lavi and Allen would be of absolutely zero help – Lenalee and Alma on the other hand would kindly navigate the situation with him, however, the chance that either of the two are hanging with the two aforementioned idiots is way too high for him to risk it.

All there is left is to simply bite the bullet.

He gets up from the couch and stretches his back, feeling several joints pop into place. He doesn’t remember being this tense before he relaxed the muscles actively.

He won’t admit it to anyone, but he’s tiptoeing down the hallway, dreading the moment he reaches the door. He likes you the best when you’re at your brightest and bubbliest but he likes it the worst when you’re closed up – especially if it’s his fault.

With three concise raps, he announces his presence by the door. There’s no sound from the other side, so with furrowed brows he knocks again.

He’s rewarded with complete fuck all.

With a scowl he opens the door – the least you could do was answer him. He finds you wrapped up on your side of the bed, with your back turned towards him. He knows you’re not asleep; your routine is different than this plus it’s only been a few minutes.

He clicks his tongue as he rounds the bed to get to your side. Further proof that you’re not actually asleep is the way your face is scrunched up almost dramatically, to signal that you’re both angry and pretending. He shakes his head and pushes at your hips unceremoniously to make room for himself to sit on the edge. You let him without any complaints.

He sits there for a moment, silence falling heavy over the both of you. You’re clearly trying to control your breathing as best as you’re able, making it visible how performative it is. Kanda holds back from rolling his eyes.

“Stop acting like a child.”

You huff out a sound before pulling your duvet over your face – or you try to, but Kanda’s weight is stopping it by your chin. Maybe not the best way to start his apology, he notes.

“Get it together.”

You let out an imitation growl before you trash around to turn your back to him. He grabs your shoulder to stop you and sigh out, almost as dramatically as you’re being, “I’m sorry.”

It stops you from trying to turn away from him. Other than that, it doesn’t seem to do much else in Kanda’s favor. His hand that is still resting on your shoulder starts drawing mindless circles into it. He hopes it’s soothing; he wants to be soothing for you. He lets a few more beats pass before he talks again, “just please… open your eyes.”

You seem to listen to his plea, as you peek open one eye to scowl at him, “I won’t forgive you, dumbass.”

He can’t hold back the smirk. You have forgiven him by now if your reply is that. He leans down to kiss you but you pull back, “I don’t accept kisses from assholes.”

His face stays as close to you as you let him as he raises an eyebrow, “hm? That’s odd, given that you gave me a welcome home kiss a few hours ago.”

Your palm hits his face in a matter of seconds. He laughs and kisses your palm instead. You make a grossed-out sound and pull it back, “you’re infecting me with your dumbassery! Go away!”

He rolls his eyes but holds your hand, “if you’re already infected, I feel like you can give me a kiss anyways…”

You pout and huff out before you look at him, “be mindful next time you try to help me, okay?”

He nods, “I promise.”

You lean up the rest of the way and connect your lips. He’s happy he learned something new about you today; you’re his favorite thing to keep learning about, no matter how many years it’ll take. He’s looking forward to each and every one of them.

Link (Twilight Princess): (Aesth) What can I say I really loved TPs, well, 'edgier' aesth (my second zelda after all of wind waker). Also, probably the first wolf association...? Less consciously, perhaps the first taste of cryptid drifter that goes around solving problems? (Kit) Why Sasume has a sword!! And why it's at her back/shoulder!! Also, sort of, ass kicking with said sword, but as a video game YMMV lmao. (Chara) The silent protag stuff could not hurt? Esp w the contrast with being good w kids, implicitly (Heart) WHAT CAN I SAY I'VE SAID IT BEFORE Sa is very much HeroTM, in broader loz/link sense, at heart. Saving and helping people is her priority!! Even when it's hard!!

Naruto: (Kit) Tbh... the source of Shinrei's aesthetic effects wrt eyes, teeth, claws, etc? (Bg/Lore) Samehat with her bg. With an emphasis on samehat, as the two were connected 1:1 in those early days. But unlike canon Naruto even baby Nori went 'reality ensues' 'edgier' variant where shit is traumatizing as fuck. (Heart) As I've also Also stated elsewhere... she's very much a shonen protagonist at heart??? A Knight in Sour Armor but a Knight all the same

Sasuke: (Aesth) Do I even need to say it...? The grumpy/angsty edgelord Lancer surface level absolutely came from here, lmao. Not as conscious as Naruto (iirc, I gave her blue hair bc my brown marker ran out when doing that design? lmfao) but definitely couldn't hurt. (Bg/Lore) Probably colored/inspired taking the aforementioned 'reality ensues' traumatic framing for Sa's bg. And a bunch of other plot-y stuff that's sliding scale of preserved to scraped entirely (ie being Nth distant relative survivors to the Uchiha clan lmfao). (Chara) What can I say... aren't we all familiar w the broadstrokes atp?? Loner angsting edgelord who's just afraid of letting people in... A staple of the archetype, and undoubtedly helped staple that archetype onto Sa. (Other) Far more nebulous, but did inspire a general 'special heritage/family line' power stuff. Though what said family line stuff was wouldn't be figured out 'til further down the line.

Kanda: (Aesth) For a hot second I literally intentionally looked to Kanda for aesth inspiration for Sa lmao... in my NLOG phase I even did an inverse of him being confused for a woman by having Sa be more Bifauxnen bc 'feminine = weak' lol (gag). Also, while from DGM's uniform as a whole rather than Kanda specifically, codified Sa's token look of skintight slevelees turtleneck + fingerless gloves— as well as remove previous aspects of color from her wardrobe. (Kit) Again, a side effect of DGM as a whole rather than Kanda specifically, but this is why Shinrei's kit isn't just so thought out but so specifically staggered (the 'Levels/Stages' aspects present across many Innocence). As a direct inspo, though, Mugen fucking with his pupils/eye is what I used to preserve Sa's emotive angy vfx (and what made it, and her entire kit, 1:1 with her sword rather than being innate). (Chara) Do I need to elaborate...? Lol. He also fits into the archetype of Sasuke that Sa was already in, so nothing too big, particularly as DGM made me develop Sa so much more and breakaway from copypasting him. However, he's liably the source of her more overt tsundere tendencies, as well as her aversion to using people's names (also for tsun reasons). Also probably why Sa's surface level is outright Jerkass and not just ominous stoic dude deal lmao.

Dean Winchester (s1-5): (Aesth) Gets some lite points for styling themselves against/for a parent, jerkass with a reckless heart of gold, and bravado/masculinity that oft loops back around to disingenuous/insecure. (Bg/Lore) What can I say? The idolization of a lost mother, comparing oneself against a parent (derogatory), the deadbeat dad (who's like the younger sibling), and the parentification and resulting over-protection and -devotedness toward their younger sibling/'child'. However, not much direct inspo here, especially since one of his hallmarks is his dysfunctional jackassery toward his sibling and one of Sa's is that her jackass exterior breaks away for hers. (Chara) While I remember Sasume's snark being unintentional irp, passive Deanfluence def couldn't hurt to cement the snark, lmfao. (Heart/Other) Lumping these two together bc man!! Man!!! What if you were forced into a life of violence and endangerment and self loathing and you 'reclaimed' it by putting how much you hate it and life and yourself into something meaningful, heroic. What if you were meant for greatness and it destroyed you. What if you wanted nothing more than a life of domesticity as a partner and parent and thought your only way to get there was through dreams and death. What if the only way you can get through the day is by chasing thrills and throwing yourself into risk after risk for others and half-hoping it kills you.

GRAVEYARD/REVERSE INSPO BOOGALOOS!!

Geralt: (Aesth) The wandering enigmatic monster hunter with an extremely dangerous rep but with more heart/morals than you'd think... yk? Bonus spn gold eye points. (Kit) Nothing overt, but general hyper-competence wrt combat. (Bg) Witchers' sliding scale of dubious rep, yk? As well as his Butcher legacy. (Chara) As stated, gruff bastards with a caring heart that's variably concealed, depending on the moment. Notably (vs some prev examples), very okay with killing human monsters, even if it's not ideal.

Alucard: (Aesth) Pwincesses The supernatural & enigmatic auras that are both intimidating and inspiring reliance/protection yk? (Kit) Again general combat competence, but also healing factor and resulting being a gd tank, relatively. (Heart) Hearts of gold!! More overt since he's not a tsun though lol

Mizu: (Aesth) Edgelord wandering blue eyed 'samurai', lol. (Kit) Violence hypercompetence, pragmatism, and being a disturbing levels of tanking severe wounds. (Bg) What can I say Mizu's entire traumatic backstory and hardening into who she is is because of being othered and seen as nonhuman (if due to racism, vs Sa's). Plus some spoilery stuff I'm not gonna say bc oh my god guys go watch BES :') Esp if you like Sa. (Chara) The terrifying determinism, raw brutality/pragmatism, being stubborn idiots who need to be forced into accepting help... but also going to extreme lengths once the loner walls are breached. Also, the sass and taunting and blood knight aspects??? Peak Sa. Chef kiss. (Other) Holy fucking SHIT the insecurities? And self perception?? Seeing oneself as monstrous and inhuman and that inhumanity linked with an 'inability/failures of' being a woman yk......... augh,

Ed: (Kit) Having fun with 'bending' elements in utilitarian ways. (Bg) Orphaned big siblings whose main priority is saving/helping baby sib yk... Also, in retrospect, the hypercompetence being developed for the sake of said sib. (Heart) Again!! Shonen protagonist at her core!! Though ofc focusing more on the unironic softness, as well as her 'aspiring' for pacifism and hating having to kill but having no qualms doing so when necessary.

Rengoku: (Kit) Badass swordsmen with fire related aesth? Badass swordsmen. (Bg) While far more... mundane in the tragedies of his upbringing, the overlap in the themes and impact of their traumas are :') very much similar :'))) (Heart) Shonen protags but also mentors!! Staring very loudly at and ignoring even harder how as a kid my intent for Sa's story would be to kill her off. Tbf she's a very solid candidate for the Obi-Wan type 'crutch' characters whose death symbolisms an emblematic turning point...........

Vash: (Kit) Again: See: Hypercompetence in combat, now with more overt inhuman uncanniness!! (Bg) While far more fantastical and sort of... spread out? Impersonal? Than Sa's, it's impact and his view on it are very Sacore!! (Heart) SHONEN PROTAG OF ALL TIME??? And also see: aspirations of pacifism and how, just like Vash is able to be so extremely pacifistic because he's nonhuman levels of sturdy... Sasume cannot be because she's still very much human, and so can only take so much before she's forced to retaliate :') (And also being long past the point of breaking pacifism for sake of necessity/saving others... and p much Only breaking it to protect others... yk.......)

this ship is… a fascinating child to me. A half-crack fic idea came to me at work a few weeks ago, thinking about how Daisya’s character design almost looks like an early concept of Alma*, and it just spiraled. Fic pending (also it’s more yulma angst than kandai, but i’m trying—their relationship is actually the hardest thing for me to write)

*i know that, conceptually speaking, Daisya existed before Alma, but yk what I mean

also, as an aro/ace with no relationship experience, I’m not really a fluff writer to begin with; but I also project hc Kanda as aro/ace, so none of these are gonna be too romantic oops. They were fun to think up though!

— They never labeled themselves as being “in a relationship” but they were “exclusive”, if that makes sense

— Daisya would always tell Kanda how they should go to Bodrum on holiday. Kanda can’t imagine ever getting a break, and would therefore be dismissive of the suggestion; but he secretly was really looking forward to it.

— Daisya also promised to teach Kanda how to swim when they went

— When out on missions with Daisya, Kanda always tries to steal and hide Charity Bell (when they’re not fighting, duh) otherwise Daisya will bother him with it

— Daisya was always Kanda’s favourite sparring partner because he uses a long-range weapon (Lenalee is close range and Marie would always go easy on him) and was thus (in Kanda’s opinion) the most suitable opponent to practice fighting akuma

— Daisya is physically pretty weak, and Kanda would make fun of him for it; but Kanda would also always drag him to hand-to-hand training to help him not rely so much on his innocence

— Kanda beat Daisya at Backgammon ONCE and wouldn’t shut up about it for weeks. (Daisya beat him hundreds of times…and may or may not have let Kanda win that one time) this is not me projecting the fact that I have tried to learn how to play this game multiple times and honestly understand the rules less and less each time

— Daisya once tried to sneak some seasoning into Kanda’s soba… Daisya wound up in the infirmary for three days (Kanda felt a little bad)

— Even though Kanda hates sweets, Daisya tricked him into trying Baklava during a job in Greece once, and Kanda actually enjoyed it

— They once tried making some together… Jerry banned them from the kitchen

— Kanda was Daisya's first kiss; Kanda considers it his first kiss too

(I know it's played as a joke, and the light novels are more canon-adjacent than expressly canon, but I think we need to acknowledge the questionable implications of a 40(?) year old kissing a 1(3) year old -- even if he was inebriated)

Where did the idea come from? And if there's an infinite amount of souls societies then does that mean there's a chance for the whole dgm cast being scattered across the afterlife and eventually overrunning just the one soul society becase theyre all feral family oriented codependent little freaks (affectionately)? Because if they all come over here where Kanda is and the bleach people just watch the many many Many Friends that little Kanda has.

Also also. The thing about not growing up until hitting a mental milestone. Like reuniting with a spouse. Is Allen gonna be teasing Kanda for growing up for him? This gives me life for the comedic angst 😊 😊😊

I don't really know if I'll ever update it again but I can answer your questions about it! The idea came from the fact that I was like. Well, Allen's not going to be in a japanese themed afterlife, that doesn't make any sense. So, how can I justify him eventually coming there? So I decided that I'd just need to worldbuild in an explanation for why Soul Society only seemed to have a small proportion of souls in it compared to total deaths, even taking the potential for reincarnation out of the question. And so the shadows. Why shadows as the medium? Because its cool. But more importantly its cool in a 'bleach' aesthetic way, so even though im making it up out of whole cloth, it still has a general feeling of being cohesive with the setting. So yeah, the whole dgm cast is out there scattered around, and its up to kanda to reuinite them in this specific little slice of the afterlife! Who knows what will make Kanda grow up?

Which isn't a lot but

DGM seiyuu ruined my life, don't forget that in the First anime, Kanda = Lucifaces, Lavi = Sandalphon, and now Komui = Beelzebub (and then in the second anime, Kanda = Lu Woh and Lavi = Geo, not to mention charas by Vane, Feather, and Drang's vas)

the original life ruiners are Suzuken and Sakurai (who are also responsible for Zack and Cloud from FF7)

but being hit with Komui's VA out of nowhere was not on my list of things that was possible. the range is just not that. Komui is a very silly character until suddenly they focused on his angst and it makes you realize all the silliness is his coping mechanism after extreme trauma and it's like damn :/ but also he's sweet and then WHAT DO YOU MEAN BEELZEBUB????

1. What is your favorite trope to rp?

There are a few tropes that I enjoy writing being angst which does appear in my fanfics quite a bit, soulmate AUs, zombie apocalypse AUs, and anything fantasy related.

4. What old character would you love to bring back?

Hmm.... maybe Jude Mathis from Tales of Xillia, or Kanda and Lavi from D.Gray-Man. The Xillia fandom died out though so I doubt that Jude would get much attention if I added him this blog. The DGM characters were only on facebook before I moved onto tumblr.

5. What is a character you love, but don’t think you can write?

Probably Langa and Reki from SK8, I've been wanting to add some more sport related muses, but I don't think I would do well as those two. Besides I don't really think the RP side is active for that fandom.

13. Is there one trope you can’t stand?

Not really while there are tropes that I don't really care for, but I haven't found one that I disliked or anything. The only one that I don't really care for I guess is NSFW.

16. Do you prefer long or short replies and why?

I like long replies since I like to add details to my RPs and it helps keep the thread from getting boring. I tend to lose interest in short replies quite quickly which is why I tend to focus on the details and long replies. I also tend to struggle with shorter replies but it can be difficult for me to reply to those sometimes.
