You love your girlfriend, you love everything about her.
You love Kara Danvers, the way she has a jumper and a blouse for every existing color, the passion she puts into writing every single story not matter how insignificant it may look to everyone else.
You love Supergirl, how she throws herself straight into danger to protect anyone and how she's not intimidated by anyone.
And of course, you love her body. From her soft long hair to her sweet lips that always taste like sugar; from her warm hands that intertwine perfectly with yours to those big blue eyes that always have your attention.
But if anyone ever asked you, your favorite part about your girlfriend are probably her thighs.
The skin is so soft yet literally impenetrable, and they're so deliciously full to the touch. The knowledge that she could potentially strangle you with those just added to their beauty.

"Have you seen my cape?" Kara asked as she paced around the small apartment, the red cloth the only thing missing from her suit.
You were sitting at the kitchen counter, preparing breakfast for the two of you, or just for you now, noticing the way she was dressed.
"Lost your cape?" you repeated, but to be honest you were only half listening. She was starting to lose her patience, looking under the couch and under every surface, the movement bringing up her skirt every single time, revealing way more than you were able to see when your vision was blocked by that annoying red wall.
"Y/N!" she yelled and crossed her arms, well aware your gaze was way lower than it should.
"I don't know, check out on the balcony, last time you wore it was raining so maybe you left there" you shrugged, taking a bite out of your toast.
You enjoyed the view as she walked away.

"if anyone has any questions, now it's time to ask them"
No one raised their hand at John's warning, and he went on with the briefing.
A couple of new agents had been caught doing 'inappropriate behaviours' as the captain described it, during a mission, so now he and Alex had requested a meeting to remind everyone the importance of this job and how a simple error could cost a lot blah blah blah.
You knew that you, and Kara for that matter, were just here so people would take this more seriously, but that didn't mean this wasn't the most boring and unnecessarily long meeting you have ever attended.
Leaning back in your chair, your gaze fell on your girlfriend seated next to you, so focused on listening to whatever her sister was saying.
You lowered your head to try and hide a big yawn, your eyes following Kara's body, finding her legs crossed under the table. The skirt folded on itself a little, and the position squished them together, making them look even bigger.
Approaching the table you got even closer to the super, so that your knee was touching hers, and put your hand on her thigh.
Kara threw a glance at your hand, then at your eyes, that were now intent on looking forward. The table made it possible so that no one was able to see what was happening underneath, so she let it go. If that got you to stop yawning and begging her to just go away then she'd allow it.
But as you started to slowly rub your thumb on her skin, she started thinking that maybe sneaking away wasn't such a bad idea.

You woke up to the feeling of warm covers being roughly ripped from your body, making you groan out loud.
"it's the third time I tell you to wake up Y/N, I don't want to be late"
You hid your face in the pillow, trying to drown out the light. But the pillow too, was ripped away from your hold.
"come on, what do you want to get up?" You opened one eye to find Kara kneeling in front of your face, pillow still in hand, and an annoyed expression on her face.
From the proximity of your bodies, all you needed to do was stretch your neck and you could kiss her exposed legs.
So you did.
When you opened your eyes her expression had turned from annoyed to surprised, blush on her cheeks.
So you kissed it again, and again, slowly reaching the hem of her shorts. When you felt a hand through your hair you knew you had won.
You were indeed very late to brunch with Alex and Maggie that day.

"how was patrol sweetie?" you didn't need to raise your head from your spot on the couch, the wind suddenly hitting your body was enough of a comfirmation that Kara was here "you're back early"
"yea it was just a couple of kids acting carelessly, nothing big" Kara shrugged, closing the window she flew in behind her "how's work?"
now it was your time to shrug, your eyes still had to land on your girlfriend, busy looking at the computer on your lap "good, shouldn't take long to finish"
"oh so you can finish later?" you missed the way her eyes shone for a second
"yea but I'd rather be done with it now that I'm focused" There is no response from the blonde, so you raise your head to look at her. "do you need something?"
You noticed how she was still standing near the window with her hands behind her back, slightly swaying side to side.
"I just thought we could spend some time together, we've been so busy lately" her sweet tone was matched by your smile, before you lowered your head back to your work.
"give me half an hour baby, you can shower in the meantime" you offered, and faintly heard the sound of her heels tapping the ground, and assumed she was headed to the bathroom.
But then she spoke again, and her voice was louder than before.
"mhh I don't think I want to wait tho"
Blonde hair blocked your vision, and your lap felt empty for a second, until there was a lot more weight on top of it.
"I want to be with you now" your laptop was now on the coffee table, while Kara sat on your lap with her legs on either side of yours. She chuckled at your surprised expression but you recovered soon enough, rubbing the soft skin of her thighs with your thumbs.
You still hadn't caugth on her intentions, so when she leaned closer and started kissing you, you just let her. You'd never reject her lips, the soft texture always welcome on your mouth and on other parts of your body, and the sweet taste always appreciated on your tongue. The hands that were previously on your shoulders made their way down to rest on your chest, slowly pushing you back to lean on the back of the couch.
Kara smiled when you had to part your lips in surprise to the feeling of her lightly grinding into your lap.
But she didn't stop.
Instead, she sat down directly on yout hips so her chest was pressing against yours, and you were able to feel every little movement. Your hands went to grip her waist, your work long forgotten on her coffe table as your eyes carefully opened to look at her blue ones, a couple shades darker than usual, definitely not because of the lack of lightning.
"what, what are you doing?"
Sex was nothing new in your relationship, of course, but Kara was never one to initiate it so...blatantly. There was usually much more foreplay.
She straightened her position, and smiled at you so innocently you thought you were going to melt. She tilted her head ever so slightly to the side as her hand went to cup your cheek.
"I told you I wanted to be with you"
Kara's skin was never cold, but she could feel a stark difference in your temperature, your whole body on fire. And when she guided your hands back on her thighs and squeezed, it only got worse. She definetly knew what she was doing.
At that, you quickly reconnected your lips with much more fervor than before. Kara gratefully accepted your pace and gripped the back on your neck, careful not hurt you.
She let out a surprised moan when your fingertips brushed under her skirt, and you used it as an opportunity to slip your tongue past her lips.
As you took complete control over the kiss, she felt any trace of confidence crumble away, her plan of teasing you about your obsession being swiftly replaced by thoughts of your hands and mouth on her, only needing to be touched.
Only needing to be satisfied.
You moved your head down to connect your mouth to her jaw, blonde hair tickling the bridge of your nose. Her skin was way too hard for you to even think about leaving hickeys, but that never stopped you from trying.
You bit down hard on the juncture between her neck and her shoulder and she let out a loud mewl, arching her back in hope to bring you even closer. The only thing it did tho, was make her covered clit brush harder against your pants.
You felt her frantically tapping your shoulder, a thing she always did when she wanted your attention but couldn't bring herself to form words.
"What do you need, pretty girl?" you whispered close to her earlobe, your breath hitting her skin, and Kara swore she could have cum right there and then.
"My- my shirt. Take my shirt off, please" she gathered after a while, not even caring how high-pitched her voice sounded when you did as she asked.
The chilly air of the apartment instantly hit her skin, but she couldn't have felt more on fire with how your gaze was fixated on her now half exposed body. She used to feel insecure about you silently looking at her, but she soon learnt how to recognize your blown pupils and how your heart always seemed to beat twice as fast every time she took any piece of clothing off her body.
No matter how many times you saw your girlfriend in this position, it never failed to lit your core on fire. Her cheeks were as red as her cape and lips were puffy from the constant kissing. Her breath came in shorts pants making her chest rise and fall quickly, and your eyes inevitably fell on her perfect breasts.
Unable to resist another second sitting so far from her, you grip the hem of her skirt to bring her back to you, and your lips were once again just inches away when you whispered to her. "you're so beautiful my love, why don't you go back to what you were doing, mh?"
You smiled up at her and enjoyed the way her eyes almost fluttered close.
"Y/N" she moaned out loud when the hand gripping her waist pushed her clothed sex on the hard seam of your jeans, making her hold your shirt tightly in her grasp.
"Come on baby" you urged her "make yourself feel good on my lap" You gave a couple more guided thrusts, until she closed her eyes shut, and started rocking back and forth on her own, kicking her boots off in the process.
You returned your attention back on her neck and collarbone, leaving bites that were sure to draw blood on any human. You made sure to soothe the skin after with open mouthed kisses, reaching every possible inch of her skin. Kara leaned her head to the side with a soft whimper, offering you more space.
Using her knees, Kara started applying more pressure on your covered crotch, making you groan in surprise. "fuck Kara"
That really seemed to spur your girlfriend on, making her grind faster on your lap, moaning with every thrust. The grip on your shoulders tightened and you swore you heard the fabric shredding, but you wouldn't even be surprised. It wouldn't be the first time Kara ripped one of your shirts while her head was clouded by pleasure.
She was brought right back to the moment when your hands traveled up to unclasp her bra, and threw it across the room.
You could tease her even more, kissing between the valley of her breasts, avoiding where she needed you the most, but with the way she was rutting against your lap, so desperate to get you both off, you couldn't deny her.
Your lips went instantly to her nipple, circling it with your tongue while your hand palmed her other breast.
"I'm, fuck- so close" she panted, struggling to get a single sentence out.
She soon started whining desperately when she couldn't find it in herself to keep her movements steady, tapping her hand on your shoulder once again, hoping you would get the hint.
Needless to say, you instantly understood.
You brought your hands on her ass to take over her moves and Kara moaned in relief, as she could now focus entirely on chasing her climax.
You used your grip on her to bring her even closer and returned your lips on her neck, making her shiver.
"please Y/N- I'm so-" Kara bit her bottom lip to refrain even louder moans to come out of her mouth, closing her eyes shut. Her arms circled your shoulders while her forehead went to rest on top of your shoulder, breathing in your scent.
You stopped the ministrations on her skin for a moment to whisper in her hear "you're doing so good baby" you cleared your throat, the pleasure affecting your voice "I'm almost close, wait for me"
She let out a little whine at your words, you couldn't hold her so tightly, with your hips bucking wildly into her, your lips burning every inch of her skin, and just except her to wait.
But she wanted to be good for you, she wanted to make you proud, so she lowered her head back on your shoulder and stopped her whining, biting your shirt as a distraction from her impending orgasm. Her hips stuttered on instinct as your hand grazed over her stomach, applying pressure.
Thankfully, she didn't have to wait much longer, a couple more thrusts was all it took you to breathe out "you can let go now baby, I know you want to"
Kara's body would have stilled if it weren't for your hands still guiding her hips, finally allowing to let the climax take over her. You could feel her shaking in your hold as wave after wave of aftershock ran through her.
You slowly stopped moving your hands, and once your own breathing returned to normal you looked at your girlfriend, who was still hiding in the crook of your neck. You hid a chuckle at the state she was in "are you okay baby?"
The blonde weakly nodded, her breath tickling your neck. "mhmh"
Using your free hand to remove her hair from her shoulder you started peppering her skin with light kisses.
"oh Y/N" Kara whispered. She gently held your head in her arms, running a hand through your hair. Just as she started breathing normally again she felt your hands on her thighs for the hundredth time tonight, your fingertips sliding under the hem of her underwear on her sides.
She tried to protest, she really did. Her heart was beating so loud right under your lips Kara was sure you could hear it; but when your teeth nibbled on the skin of her collarbone she felt herself rocking on your lap once again.
You moved your hand up to her chin to make her look at you, after leaving a sweet kiss on her cheek. "why don't you sit on my face, mh?"
"what?" she breathed out, her cheeks threatening to get even redder. Her chest heaved up and down as she looked at the smirk adorning your face.
You changed position on the couch, so you could now lay on it, and, gripping the back of her thighs, you brought her down with you. She kept one hand on your chest, while the other prevented her from putting her entire body weight on you.
It was something the two of you never tried together and something Kara had never done before. And while she never claimed it was a hard no, the topic has only come up in jokes, never like this and so openly.
Kara still hasn't said anything and you started thinking that maybe you went overboard, and wanted to apologize; but then her lips lowered to meet yours in a slow kiss, and you made sure to let her have control of this one.
When the kiss ended, your noses were still brushing against each other's.
"are you sure?" Kara tried to find any trace of uncertainty in your eyes, but she could only see fondness, and a hint of amusement.
"you're asking me? I should be asking you" you chuckled.
Kara smiled at you and bit her lip. After a second, she slightly nodded and got up from the couch.
You watched as she removed the last pieces of clothing almost timidly. And while you were intent on admiring the legs that were finally free from the red skirt, you didn't notice the shirt that was previously lying on the floor, quite literally flying in your direction.
"stop staring at me like that!" she accused, going into her Supergirl persona "and take your clothes off too, it's not fair I'm the only one naked" and despite her quivering tone, you could tell she was comfortable.
You laughed at her words, and by the time you took your shirt off, - which had definitely been shredded - Kara was on your lap again, and her lips were on yours. She could finally feel your skin, without the obstruction of your clothes.
You slipped your hands around her waist once again to make her grind into you, and she moaned into your mouth, the now bare clit making her even more sensitive.
Keeping one hand on her waist, you soon brought her down on the couch again with you, never leaving her lips.
After a few more guided thrusts against your lap, and a few more of her moans swallowed by your lips, she sat up and looked at you.
Your hair was disheveled due to her constant gripping, your lips were glistening from the kissing, and your cheeks were flushed. But Kara was entranced by the pounding of your heart; so loud in her ears Kara was sure she could hear it even without her powers. Heartbeat that almost made her fear for your well being, had she not been looking at you. So calm in her hold yet so excited to kiss her again and again. And so eager to please her.
Her gaze flicked between your eyes, before a smile formed on her lips.
She left one last kiss on your nose and moved her hips up your body as her thighs went on either side of your face, giving you a full view of her folds. But you knew she was still holding back. "is this okay? or is it too much weight? should I get up?"
Instead of answering, you started peppering the intern of her thighs with kisses, as you arms went to circle them to try and bring her closer.
She chuckled lowly "I knew you had a thing for my legs" She teased fondly, moving some of your hair from your eyes.
"I love every part of you" you stated matter of factly, and you heart didn't skip a bit like it does when you lie "but I do enjoy looking at your legs" you confess, not giving her the full victory. "and touching them"
Your grip on her thighs tightened, the action spreading them even more, getting you closer to her cunt.
"and I definitely enjoy kissing them, too" you nibbled on the skin there, really close to her center, making her grind into the air.
She was starting to regret not putting all of her weight.
"Y/N..don't tease now" she tried to order, but when your tongue made contact with her skin, the last words came in the shape of a whine.
After leaving another phantom hickey on the inside of her thigh, you flattened your tongue on her folds, tasting what was left of her first orgasm.
Her hips twitched with every feel of your tongue, as her whines became more constant and desperate. One of her hands went to grip the edge of the couch to keep herself from falling over.
Your neck was starting to ache from the stretching position it was in, and you weren't enjoying Kara to the fullest, so the hands on her thighs moved to her hips, bringing her down onto your face, making her squeal out of surprise.
The new closeness allowed you to be completely inebriated by her smell, causing you to groan into her core, which sent a shiver run up Kara's spine. The blonde bit her lip, the slow pace not being nearly enough "please...Y/N" She regained control of her hips, and started moving them against your face.
A throaty moan escaped her mouth as soon as you started sucking on the bundle of nerves, making her throw her head back. She could feel your restless hands moving all over her body, your nails potentially scratching her skin.
Kara arched her back when your finger brushed against her nipple, and grabbed your wrist to keep you there, a couple of moans imploring you to do more.
You could feel her starting to give in to the pleasure, her hips rutting almost at inhuman speed onto your expecting tongue, while her pants made her sound like she was running the marathon, and how her body seemed heavier with each passing second, completely in your hands.
You tugged on her nipple, causing another loud whine to escape the woman on top of you, as her bottom lip got caught between her teeth.
Your free hand joined your tongue between her legs, and started rubbing her clit with just enough pressure to make her cry out loud. Just as she felt the knot in her stomach growing, your lips went back on her inner thighs, biting the soft skin.
"You look so pretty like this my love, and you taste so good"
She slightly opened her eyes to look at you, or at least the part of you that wasn't hidden by her body or covered in her juices. The sight alone made the crease in her eyebrows deepen as her teeth dug deeper into her bottom lip, and she had to swallow the lump in her throat before attempting to speak.
"ple-please Y/N, I need, need you" She tried to get you back to where she wanted you the most by never stilling the grinding of her hips, holding your hair to guide you.
Caution was thrown out the window once you finally put your lips back on her clit, as she ground her knees on the couch and started roughly humping your face.
All that came out of her mouth were now throaty moans and broken pleas, and all were muffled by her strong thighs clenching around your head. And for the first time, you didn't mind not being able to fully hear her.
She could feel herself almost surrender, her climax quickly approaching, and just needed a little push.
It was quickly given by your soft, now hoarse, voice. "You're doing so good for me baby, come on, let go"
Her second orgasm came stronger than the last, with her hips twitching wildly in your hold as she struggled to regain her breath.
You kept on licking all over her most to clean her up, until she started whining from overstimulation, pushing on her knees to get away.
You used the grip on her waist to get her off you to bring her back on your lap, as you sat up on the couch.
"you did such a good job baby, how are you feeling?" You whispered, planting a soft kiss on top of her hair. To which she lightly nodded her head, not moving it from its warm shelter in the crook of your neck.
You felt her shiver against your bare chest and reached for a blanket at the end of the couch, covering her with it. Your free hand came to rest on top of her knee, gifting her with your warmth. And it wasn't long until you started tracing patterns on her skin, the normal action making your girlfriend giggle.
"you really do love them" Kara said kissing your neck, as a yawn left her mouth.
You only laughed at her accusation, as you had already answered before.
But as she laid on top of you, her hair lightly stinging your collarbone and her breath becoming slower with each passing second, you had never been more certain. The cute reporter, the strong superhero, her integrity and her awkwardness-
You just loved it all. You loved Kara Danvers.

Yay! I actually got something written—I already had the base for it written years ago when I was in my Supergirl era. Anyways, there’s more where this comes from. Enjoy! (Also not proof read as always)
Supergirl/Kara Danvers x Reader
TW: throwing up, not too graphic but definitely mentioned
Mysterious Kryptonian Flu Pt.1
Kara groans as she wakes up, slowly opening her eyes as she sits up in bed. Her mind feels groggy, her limbs ache, and she feels just plain awful—which is something she is very much not used to.
Looking over, she sees your side of the bed is empty. Kara lets out a soft whimper at the thought of standing up to look for you. Using her x-ray vision, she scans the apartment and finds you standing in the kitchen. Every single bone in her body aches in protest as she gets out of bed, her desire to be near you stronger than her exhaustion.
She stumbles into the kitchen, her legs surprisingly wobbly and she catches herself against the counter for support. “Morning, baby!” You chime happily, your back turn away from Kara as you make breakfast. You had heard her come into the room, though.
Upon not receiving an answer, you immediately turn around, eyes growing wide with concern as they land on your girlfriend. “Kara?” You ask, walking closer to her, quickly sensing something is wrong.
Her normally happy, smiling face is pale, and slightly green, and there’s definitely no smile on her face. “Kara, babe?” You try again, closing the distance between the two of you and putting a gentle hand on her shaking, pj-clad shoulder. “Are you okay?” She finally looks up at you.
All you see is pain, confusion and panic swimming in her eyes. Kara shakes her head at your question and you look her up and down. She’s shaking. Hard. Like she’s about to pass out or something.
“Come on babe, I think you should sit down.” You loop your arm through hers and she nods in agreement as she leans heavily on you. You lead her to the couch, helping her sit down before kneeling down in front of her, placing a gentle hand on each of her knees.
“Kara, what’s going on?” You look up at her, visible worry all over your expression. She takes a few seconds to try and think of what to say. Her mind is slow. You wait somewhat patiently. “I-I don’t know.” Kara answers, her voice sounding raw and painful.
You rub one of her knees encouragingly as you wait for her to continue. Her eyes squeeze shut for a second and she swallows hard before opening them again. “I feel…bad. Icky. Everything hurts…” Kara tries to explain her unknown feelings. “…my head hurts and it feels…cloudy? And…” What was the word? Kara thinks again at how to describe it.
“…nauseous. My stomach feels like that.” She finishes and closes her eyes again. You frown deeply. It definitely sounds like your superhero girlfriend is sick, but you’re pretty sure that’s not possible. And you know she hasn’t blown out her powers or overworked herself recently at all.
“Poor baby…” You start to say but Kara cuts you off by super-speeding suddenly out of the room. You call after her as you run as fast as your human legs will take you, reaching the bathroom just seconds after her.
Your heart drops when you see her leaning over the toilet, gripping the sides hard with her hands as she throws up. You’re immediately by her side, taking a deep breath to calm your own panic before you gather up the strands of Kara’s soft golden hair that’s falling around her face. You tie it up in a messy ponytail then move to rub her back with you hand, murmuring words of comfort as she continues to be sick.
Luckily Kara’s bathroom is small enough that you can reach the sink from where you’re sitting and you keep one hand on her back while you reach under the sink and find a clean wash cloth. You run it under cool water and then gently press to the back of your girlfriend’s neck.
With your full attention back on her, it’s clear she’s in a lot of pain. When you think about it, she’s never thrown up ever in her life until now, perks of being a Kryptonian you guess. But now…you don’t know what’s going on, and you can’t imagine how awful she feels.
You rub her back and do her best to comfort her until she eventually loosens her grip on the toilet and slowly sinks back into your arms.
“Shhh. I’ve got you baby. I’m here.” You soothe, brushing some stray strands of hair from Kara’s face.
You move the wash cloth from the back of her neck and use it to gently wipe off her face then you lean over slightly to flush the toilet.
Now you just hold Kara, both arms wrapped securely around her as she buries her face into your chest, breathing heavily. You can feel warm silent tears dripping onto your shirt and your heart breaks.
You rest your face to her hair and kiss her head. “You’re okay love. I know it hurts. I’m sorry. You’ll be okay, I’ve got you.” You hum, not quite sure of what to say, but your words seem to calm her down a bit and you take it as a win.
She still shakes slightly in your arms and her eyes are tightly shut but her breathing calms and you just continue to hold her until suddenly she’s tensing and throws herself out of your arms and faces back to the toilet.
You do the same as before, re-tying Kara’s hair to keep the extra strands out of her face and run her back, murmuring sweet nothings until she’s done.
She falls back into your arms again, shaking even harder this time. You wipe her face and hug her tightly as you gently rock her back and forth on the cold tile floor.
She’s crying even harder this time, you notice, and you know it will only make her feel worse and dehydrate her more so you quickly think of how to calm her down.
“Kara, Bluebird?” You ask, using your nickname for her, hoping it will catch her attention. It does. She doesn’t look at you but she hums in response.
“You still have your powers, yeah?” You wonder and she gives a slight nod against your chest. “Okay good…just try and listen to my heartbeat alright? Focus on me baby.” You suggest softly.
Kara nods again and takes a shaky breath before closing her eyes again as she hones in on one sound, blocking out everything else as she listens to the soft yet slightly faster than normal sound of your heartbeat.
After a few minutes her crying fades into soft sniffles and her breathing finally calms down.
“Good job, baby.” You praise gently, glad you’re able to provide some sort of comfort to your miserable girlfriend.
Kara keeps listening for a while and you keep holding her, checking in every few minutes as the two of you just breathe together.
Eventually she hasn’t thrown up for a while and you assume she isn’t too comfortable on the floor. She should be in bed.
“Kara, love?” You whisper in her ear and she makes another small noise in response to show she’s listening.
“Do you think you’re done?” She shrugs against you, still feeling terrible, but it seems the worst of the nausea has passed.
“How about we get you back in bed huh?” Kara immediately nods and wraps her arms loosely around your waist as you pick her up bridal and start carrying her out of the bathroom.
On the way there she sniffles softly then takes a sudden breath. “NuhHhnChiuu! Nhnh…nHuhSchUuuh!” She sneezes twice against your chest, wiping her runny nose along your shirt. She’s too tired to notice and you’re too in love to care.
You just kiss the top of her head. “Bless you babygirl.” You reach the bedroom set her down on the soft mattress. She immediately curls up as you pull the blankets over her.
“I’ll be right back.” You promise as you kiss her forehead, growing when you feel how warm it is. She’s definitely running a fever.
You leave her cozy in bed and make your way to the kitchen to get some things to help her but your first priority is texting her sister Alex. Being the DEO’s lead expert in Kryptonian physiology and Kara’s sister, she definitely needs to know what’s up.
You explain the situation and she answers almost immediately, texting that she’s on her way.
You finish gathering some things for Kara and make your way back to the bed. “I’m back baby.” You hum gently as you sit down carefully next to her.
You help her into a sitting position, leaning her against some pillows. “Here, small sips okay?” You hold a glass of cool water up to her lips and she eagerly takes a few sips. She sighs as the cool water soothes some of the burning in her throat.
“Thanks.” Kara rasps, speaking for the first time in a while. “Mhm” You nodded before she suddenly lets out a small groan.
You’re immediately more alert. “You okay, do you think you’re gonna be sick again?” You place your hand on her shoulder.
“No…it jus’ hurdts.” Kara wines and you nod, pulling her into a comforting hug.
“You’re okay baby. If you think you’re going to throw up just let me know, I have a bucket here so you don’t have to get up, sound good?” You reach over to the floor and pick up a bucket you’d brought over.
“Okay.” Kara nods as you let go of the hug. Her breath hitches a moment later as she shivers.
“Huhnn..SshhChuu!” She sneezes sleepily, just once, into her lap.
“Bless you, Kar.” You place a hand on her shoulder once again and run your thumb gently along her shirt. “Is there anything else I can do to help sweetheart?” You tilt her chin gently with her fingers so you can look into her impossibly blue eyes.
“Jus’ hold me, please?” She practically whimpers and you offer her a solemn smile.
“Of course, baby. Come here.” You move to get under the blankets with her and she snuggles into your open arms, resting in the space between your begs.
She leans back against your chest and you wrap your arms firmly around her and kiss the top of her head as her eyes flutter closed.
“I texted Alex. She’s on her way.” You let your girlfriend know softly.
“Thank you.” Kara whispers back with a yawn.
“Of course. Try and get some rest now, love.” You hum, slipping your hand under her shirt so you can trail soft circles along her skin, hoping it will help her feel a little calmer.
You love Kara with all your heart and you know she loves you too, but you can’t do what Alex can, you can’t offer the same expertise. The two of them have such an incredible bond and with whatever’s going on with Kara right now, you know it’s best to have Alex here too.
A while later, you’re not sure if she’s fallen asleep or not until you feel her body tense up in your arms.
“Oh Rao.” Kara murmurs as you react just in time, grabbing the bucket and holding it in front of her.
You rub her back and try to keep her calm. As she throws up again, falling back into your arms when she’s done.
She whimpers as she curls up in your lap, wrapping her arms tight around your waist, some part of her hoping she could just hug the pain away.
You hold your arms around her too. “You’re alright babygirl. It’s okay.” You soothe, running your hands through her silky golden hair and continuing to do so until she seems more at ease.
“Done?” You ask and she nods. “Alright baby, I need to get up now…” You start. “…but I promise I’ll be right back.” You add when you feel her arms grip tighter around you.
The blonde nods and lets you go so you can get up. You press a soft kiss to her forehead before taking the bucket to the bathroom sink to wash it out. It’s a little gross, but you don’t care. It’s what you’ve gotta do, and you’ll do anything for your girl.
You come back to the bed and sit back down next to Kara’s trembling form with a packet of saltines in your hand.
Like before, you help her sit up slowly and then hold the water to her lips so she can take a few sips to ease her burning throat. Then you hand her a cracker and she frowns at it, a small crinkle forming in her brows.
“I know you don’t want to eat but your body needs it. You’ll feel even worse next time if you don’t have anything in there to get out.” You point to her stomach and she nods her understanding.
She gets through three crackers before she doesn’t want any more. “Good job baby. I’m proud of you.” You praise, giving her a loving smile which she does her best to return.
“What can I do to help?’ You ask again, not sure what to do until Alex gets here. Hopefully that’s soon.
“Hold me again?”
You nod and the two of your wordlessly sift so Kara’s head is resting against your chest and you have your arms wrapped around her. You slip your hands under her shirt again but this time you run your fingers along her stomach.
She relaxes into your hold and you continue your gentle ministrations as her breath slowly changes and she drifts off into a light sleep.
You smile down at her, torn by the fact that she’s absolutely miserable but still somehow he most adorable person-well, Kryptonian you’ve ever seen.
Her mouth is open slightly as she sleeps, her nose almost too congested for breathing. Your heart sinks when it dawns on you really how bad she feels.
“I’m so sorry you don’t feel good baby. We’ll figure this out, I promise.” You whisper and even though she’s asleep, you could’ve sworn she leans more into your touch.
You press a light kiss to her forehead—still hot with fever, but at least it’s holding steady. You make a mental note to address that later with Alex, but for now, while you wait, you’re content to just hold your girlfriend and hope that she starts feeling better soon.

One shot | Supergirl Masterlist | Masterlists

Fandom: Supergirl
Pairing: Kara Danvers x fem!Reader
Genre: Smut
Words: 2.9k+
Warnings: 18+, minors DNI, jealousy, fingering, semi-public sex
Summary: Attending an event with Kara seemed a good idea. It had never been an issue in the past, but when she returns from mingling to find you enjoying the company of another guest, things take an interesting turn.
A/n: I want to say that I've thoroughly proofread this, but I cannot because I am lazy and also not motivated enough to do that :)
Kara didn't want to leave you. On the drive over to the reporter's gala, you'd heard her say just that, even if you were the slightest bit distracted by how her muscles bulged under the sleeves of her blazer.
She knew you were no social butterfly and had sworn to stay by your side when you needed a breather from small talk and scheming questions—a hero even when she shed her cape. You'd tried to reason with her, explain you were not a child, that you'd be fine alone. Alas, it proved useless. She wasn't having it.
However, that was the drive over when Kara had yet to be faced with renowned reporters, endless opportunities for stories and the chance to fill a whole page, front and back, with media contacts. So, when the time came, you were proud to admit you succeeded in swaying your girlfriend to do all the things you knew she was most looking forward to with a "Please don't let me stop you. I had been wanting to check out the bar anyway."
You did receive a dejected look from Kara as she was dragged away, one that reminded you of a little lost pup. That wasn't entirely a pleasant sight, but when you arrived at a too-tall bar stool and peeked over your shoulder, you were happy to note Kara was lost in conversation. The twinkle in her eyes she only got when intrigue grew and questions were formed was bright as ever. She was utterly consumed. It was a happy sight. A sight that, mixed with alcohol, made your chest flush a little too hot for liking.
Time ticked by, and for a while, it was okay. You watched Kara move around, go from person to person, nursing your drink between glances and taking in the room decor. The thought of joining her did cross your mind but was quickly stored away when you realised how hard it would be to reach the blonde across the ocean of bodies. Better to sit tight and save yourself the trouble.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the event hall grew too loud. Not loud from rowdy patrons or blasting music. The accumulation of too many polite voices and clattering sounds combined to form a monotonous hum was what was beginning to drive you crazy. You waited. And you waited. And you waited some more. You waited for as long as you could, feeling more and more how your cheeks began to burn until it got a little too much, and you found your way outside to the stone stairs of the grand entrance, heart beating a little too fast for your liking.
That was where Kara found you. She'd wrapped up her conversations as fast as possible, asking and answering rapid-fire questions, absorbing every bit of knowledge offered while keeping track of the time. It couldn't be helped that now and again, she lost herself in stories that she imagined would one day be hers. She knew you'd understand. But then, too much time had passed, and she knew it as she hurried over to the bar, already panicked about how best to apologise for leaving you alone for so long.
By the time she did find you, after discovering the bar vacant, her worries were gone, and Kara was joyous to finally be so close to you again that she could smell your perfume. The stories she'd heard were waiting on the tip of her tongue to be regurgitated, along with an apology kiss, which she had decided was the foolproof option on the walk over. However, when she turned a corner and finally saw your unmistakable figure, she did not expect to find you with company. More so, she did not expect a pristine blazer that was not hers to be wrapped around you, keeping you warm from the evening's light breeze.
Watching from a close distance, Kara could see it. She could hear it pierce her ears—the bitter sound of laughter. You were smiling, listening attentively to what this random woman spewed at you, and it drove Kara crazy, filled her veins with fire, and turned her knuckles white. She hated this part of herself, the wiry-clawed green-eyed monster that came out so often around you. She'd been pushing it down all evening, all week, hell, your whole relationship, whenever she saw someone's eyes linger on your figure too long. But this, whatever was happening between you and this woman, was, for some reason, Kara's last straw.
"It's freezing." She strode over, steps heavy, tone sharp as she announced her presence.
It was, in fact, not freezing, and you were about to mention that as you turned to greet Kara, but the second you saw her stony expression, you decided otherwise.
"Kara, it's so nice to finally meet you," the woman beside you said, extending her arm to the blonde with a warm, charismatic smile. "Andrea."
The reporter outright ignored the greeting, stared at Andrea with flared nostrils and then back to you, her eyes softening only a smidge. You hated to say it, even if it was just to yourself, but something about seeing Kara this way deeply affected you. Of course, you loved sweet Kara, the Kara that would never be able not to help, the Kara that left a trail of sunshine behind her as she walked, the Kara that giggled at double entendres, and that's what she said jokes. But this Kara, fierce, protective and territorial Kara, the Kara that would crack someone's neck if they looked at you the wrong way, throw them over the side of a building if they even thought to touch you, drove you mad with undying lust.
"Why are you out here?" your girlfriend asked, snapping you out of your daze. Her eyes grew smaller, and her lips thinned as she stared at the blazer still around your shoulders.
Sensing her hostility and heavy eyes, you got the hint. Well, it was less of a hint than a blaring alarm. Nonetheless, you understood. "I got a bit hot inside, that's all," you calmly answered, beginning to shrug off the satin jacket that seemed to be Kara's new adversary lest she burn a hole right through it.
"Nice seeing you, Andrea," Kara said dryly, sporting a sarky smile as she took the blazer off your shoulder and handed it back. "I'll be taking my girlfriend inside now."
With an arm hooked around your waist, you were ushered inside, unsure what the hell had just happened until it was too late to turn around and apologise for Kara's out-of-character behaviour.
"Did you have to be so rude?" you whispered. "She was only being nice."
Kara was indifferent, her face expressionless. "I thought you didn't want to socialise," she finally said, manoeuvring past groups of chattering clusters.
"She approached me. It would have been rude to ignore her," you tried to reason.
"The blazer?" Kara countered, nails digging into you so hard you felt them pierce the silk material of your dress, forcing you to choke down a whimper.
There were so many things you could have said, so many things you should have said. You could have given Kara one of the many valid reasons you had at your disposal. But no, you did nothing of the sort. Seeing Kara this pissed off, even if she was trying to hide the true extent of it, was absolutely divine, and you wanted it to last.
Leaning over to her ear, keeping up with her quick pace on your tippy toes, you sultrily whispered, "I was chilly, and she offered to keep warm."
Kara halted, standing stark still in the middle of a desolate hallway. You saw her jaw lock, the way her veins in her neck bulged. Her eyes, shining a scorching shade of blue, looked off into the distance, and that was when Kara truly lost herself to silent rage.
When her feet started moving again, no words were spoken. She only pushed you down the corridor and then to the left, each step growing more daunting as the woman beside you remained stoic. You started to consider that perhaps you had gone too far.
"Kara, I-" you tried but were cut off by the force of Kara roughly shoving you inside a side room. With no warning, your body was slammed against the back of the door, forcing it shut with a bang that echoed in your ears, its remnants reduced to a faint buzz.
Kara had kept her hands on your waist, body a safe distance away as her azure eyes roamed your face in rapid intervals, eventually landing on your lips.
"Do you need a reminder?" she snapped.
Fidgeting and momentarily adverse to maintaining eye contact, you looked around at the collection of coats, studying all the colours, all the various items poking out of pockets, and the occasional umbrella brought in by the wary, inherently failing to answer Kara's vague question.
The quiet grew to be biting; its teeth gnawed away at your confidence until breathing became almost impossible. Thankfully, the room itself was chilled, air circulating well enough to ensure that dust particles and the distinct smell of dampness would not stick to the fabric. Only two windows painted the room, both of which were located to your right, one jammed shut with rust and debris, the other slightly ajar. And as grating seconds passed like hours, and eyes locked onto you, hot breath rained down on you, the timid breeze that began to sweep in through the small crack of that old window became your new best friend.
You focused on it as you looked to the floor and watched your toes curl. You heard its high-pitched whistles alongside the squeaking leather of your shoes, and you felt its light fingers caress your flushed cheeks just enough to dull your panic to a manageable seven.
Of course, this did not last long. Your senses eventually found you, and you remembered the lingering question dancing in the air and the unhappy blonde who deserved an apology. But it was too late. For the second time that evening, you concluded that you'd pushed your girlfriend too far.
Your punishment was a hand coiling around your throat, calloused fingers threatening to mark you with blotchy bruises but not daring to squeeze hard enough to hurt. Beneath the firm grip, you closed your eyes, frustrated with how painstakingly annoying it was to have something so wrong feel so good. So fucking good you were struggling to hold in a moan.
"Do you need a reminder that you're mine?" Kara calmly asked, fractionally squeezing just that little bit tighter to force out a strained whimper. Her pupils were blown wide, dark whirls of something foreign polluting the bright shine of her irises.
Distant music seeped in, filling the silence between rapid breaths. Eyes sharpened their focus on one another, studying the new hues of lust, committing the new palettes to memory for lonely nights. Then came the slip—your submission offered with one last shuddering breath and the slow close of your eyelids, and Kara, sharp as a whistle, acted accordingly. Her lips, soft yet bruising, devoured you at a moment's notice, pulling you in with deceiving memories and false promises, only to demolish them with biting nips and trailing scratches. She tasted of pure possession, each slide of her tongue more demanding than the last.
She wanted control, and you happily gave it over.
Kara pulled back, beginning to plant kisses from your mouth down to your neck. She drew you into her mouth, sucking hard enough to have surely left a mark, and you'd have cared if it weren't for the svelte fingers shamelessly working under your dress, rising to the juncture between your thighs to tease your clothed cunt with light touches.
There was no remorse when your shivers were felt, when your pitiful rendition of a beg was heard or when your hips started to grind down in desperation. The reporter was hell-bent on prolonging the torture.
Hand on the underside of your knee, Kara encouraged you to wrap a leg around her waist. She hauled it up as if it weighed nothing and held it in place, momentarily allowing you to find some needed friction along the column of her toned stomach. It was then you realised why Kara wanted you to have some leverage. Savagely, your underwear was torn, fabric protesting louder than you did in fear you'd anger your tyrant and be deemed unworthy of her illustrious treatment.
"I want them to hear you," Kara drawled, dipping the tip of her finger inside you. "Hear that you belong to me."
Instructions clear, she thrust three fingers into your welcoming pussy and began fucking into you at an unforgiving pace. There were no words to describe the ecstasy that was being stretched so abruptly it almost hurt, so you settled for a silent cry instead, gripping onto muscled shoulders for leverage.
It stung when Kara pushed harder and moved faster, but the tendrils of pleasure did not lessen, circulating through your body and bubbling in your stomach, so you endured.
Your moans were carrying, spilling out of the room to ricochet and bounce around the high-panelled ceiling and walls of the corridor. The occasional gasp that did reach your ears left you desperately wanting to be ashamed, to do the sensible thing and tell Kara to stop. The embarrassment of exiting the cloakroom and coming face-to-face with the many people who knew exactly what had happened was enough for you to listen to your rational mind. But what remained stronger was the need to chase your impending orgasm.
That's what made forgetting so easy—the vehement need for ownership being met, even if it was being done in such a precarious place. It's probably why you didn't stop the following words from coming out of your mouth.
"Yours." You wanted her to know. Hell, you wanted everyone to know. So you kept saying it, over and over, louder and louder. "Yours yours, yours, only yours."
All you could do was continue to pull Kara in, clenching around her fingers, and beg her to go impossibly deeper with the firm grip of your leg and crackling cries. Soon enough, there was no need for Kara to hold you close; you were stuck to her like glue, and the blonde chose to take full advantage.
Her hand lay flat on the wall to gain some leverage, her fingers starting to move so fast they felt like they were vibrating. Soft kisses along your throat became harsh, teeth latching onto skin repeatedly, mercy momentarily shown with soothing slides of a slickened tongue. In the back of your mind, you knew what was happening. The reporter was marking you as hers, and when you left that tiny room, there would be no mistaking it. In the upcoming days, she wanted you to see the bruises staring back at you in the mirror, a warning for you never to forget. Hers.
"Mine," Kara growled, her voice raspy.
Your chest was rising and falling alarmingly, your breath short, and your lungs exerted. Everything was moving so fast you scarcely noticed Kara place her thumb over your clit till it was too late, and all that was left to do was gasp so heavily your lungs felt like they may burst.
With the duel stimulation came the lack of awareness, and it seemed, even for Kara, your volume was rising to a level that would amass too much attention. Her lips found yours, and muffling your cries, she drove her tongue into your mouth.
Her thumb continually ran in circles, each drawing you closer. Your stomach was so tense it felt painful. Still, the persistent waves of satisfaction were worth the strain, and unsurprisingly, in little to no time, you felt the inevitable crest of your orgasm, releasing an open-mouthed gasp against velvet lips.
You came with a silent cry, your head thrown back and slamming against the wall, forcing Kara to separate her lips from yours. She watched you fall apart in awe, milking you for you had till you were shaking so badly you could scarcely hold yourself up.
"Keep holding onto me," she whispered, and you obeyed, wrapping your hands around her neck, breathing heavily and dropping your head to her shoulder. With a delicate kiss on your temple, Kara slowed her fingers down to languish thrusts and placed her hand over your ass, taking the majority of your weight. "I've got you."
Assured there was no chance you would collapse, Kara kept going, continually pulling meek whimpers from you with every curl of her fingers. It felt like your orgasm was never-ending, waves of full-bodied pleasure rippling through your system over and over, burrowing into your skin till it felt like you were on fire. Finally, when a grimace replaced the gratified smile you wore and your moans began to sound more wounded, she stilled, slowly withdrawing from you.
Weakly looking up, you watched Kara bring her fingers into her mouth and sample your unique taste. Her eyes fluttered shut as the familiar tangy nectar coated her tongue, and a satisfied hum vibrated in her throat.
Head falling forward, knees still shaky, mind certain, you whispered the only thing that seemed to be running through your head, "Yours."
Lips to your temple, Kara happily muffled her confirmation, "Mine."

✐ Seven Years | Kara Danvers ✎

Pairing: Kara Danvers x reader
Warnings: slight angst
Summary: Seven years is a long time, but you’ve never given up on Kara.
________________________________________________
Seven Years Ago
A knock on my door makes me shoot up in bed. After crash landing on earth with Mon El I’m still getting used to my super hearing.
I rub my eyes and check my phone for the time, frowning when I see it’s two in the morning. I get out of bed and use my x-ray vision to see who’s at the door.
Much to my surprise I realize it’s Kara and the way she holds herself is very unusual. She’s leaned against the doorframe, her hair a mess and her glasses are askew on the bridge of her nose.
“Hey, what are you doing here this late?” I ask when I open the door.
Kara’s head shoots up and her hazy, glassy eyes meet mine. She sways when she pushes herself off the doorframe and when she slurs a, “Heyyy,” I smell alien liquor on her breath.
I sigh and step aside, letting her in wordlessly. This isn’t the first time she’s shown up drunk at my doorstep and I’m pretty sure tonight it’s for the exact same reason as last time.
“What did he do this time?” I say, exasperated as Kara flops down on my couch face first.
Mon El. . .
I love my twin brother, don’t get me wrong, but he can be such a jackass sometimes.
Since he started going out with Kara, he has changed for the better, but sometimes he slips up and that’s when I get involved because not long after waking up here on Earth, Kara’s took an instant liking to me.
Unlike my brother I didn’t break out of the DEO, I didn’t send out a distress call that got me arrested, and I’ve never believed our people’s claims that the Kryptonians were responsible for all our hardships, which meant Kara and I became friends rather quickly.
And as her friend I’m one of the only people she can talk to about Mon El because I know him better than anyone and I’m more often than not the one who talks some sense into him whenever he messes up.
Now, I could say I don’t mind because that’s what friends are for, but I do because I hate how I was too shy to ask her out and when I mentioned it to him, he swooped in and asked her out himself.
It’s like he doesn’t even care about her and only did it to one-up me once again, the same way he’s been doing all his life.
Kara groans and I take a seat beside her head, taking off her glasses so she doesn’t accidentally break them. “He just doesn’t listen!”
Yeah, I’ve heard that one before.
I sigh and scratch at my eyebrow. “Why? What happened?”
I don’t want to know. It makes me furious, seeing how he treats her, but I want to be a good friend, so I’m offering her a shoulder to cry on.
Kara takes a deep breath before sitting up. She looks like a bug wiggling its legs in the air while doing so, but she manages to do it and sinks back into the cushions, her head landing on my shoulder.
It’s a familiar position and even though I know it’s friendly on her part, I can’t help the butterflies that erupt in my stomach every time she’s this close.
She smells like floral perfume and liquor, the latter being a little overwhelming for my sensitive nose, but I couldn’t care less. All that matteres right now is that she’s comfortable and safe.
God, what would the world do if they saw Supergirl in this state? Wasted over a fight with her boyfriend. . .
I shake my head and force myself not to think like that. Kara isn’t just Supergirl; perfect, charming and selfless. She’s also Kara and she, like everyone else, isn’t perfect.
“We were dealing with some bank robbers earlier,” she starts, still slurring her words but sounding more sober than before, “and I told him— I TOLD him— I had it under control, but he swooped in anyway.”
Yup, that sounds like him.
I have the same powers he has, but I don’t want to be a superhero. I just want to live a normal life, just like I’ve always wanted, even back on Daxam, and because I now have the freedom to choose, I choose to work as a manager and barista at Noonan’s. I like connecting with people and the simplicity of the job, which makes it perfect.
From time to time I do help the DEO of course, but only if I really have to. Otherwise I stick to my new, boring life.
I hum in acknowledgment and wait for Kara to continue.
“They got away with the money,” she says, “and I got a slab of concrete hurled at me. . . And then he has the audacity to accuse me of letting them get away, as if I didn’t have to use my body to shield them and prevent him from accidentally killing them with that piece of concrete!”
“I— Wow.” Is all I can manage to say and when I look to my left I’m startled to find Kara looking up at me with big, puppy dog eyes.
“Why can’t he just listen?” she whispers, her eyes darting between mine. “I mean, you listen. You always listen. Why can’t he?”
I swallow thickly and look at my hands in my lap. Mon El and I might be twins, but that’s where the similarities end.
I feel myself getting hot under Kara’s intense stare, so clear my throat and mumble, “I don’t know, Kara. But I’m sorry he’s acting like this.”
I would never do something like that to you.
I don’t say that because we’re just friends and because I’m not going to be the one who ruins their relationship.
Kara sighs and rests her head back on my shoulder, closing her eyes. She wraps her arms around my arm and within seconds her breathing evens out and I know she’s asleep.
Damn you, Mon El . . .
I shift around until I can get out of her embrace, carefully directing her so she’s lying on the couch. I take off her shoes and drape a thin blanket over her, knowing full well that she won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
Now
I cough and blink my eyes open. Everything is white and blurry, so I rub my eyes with my hands.
A familiar face swims in front of me and when I blink a couple of times, it comes into focus.
“Brainy?” I ask, coughing once more. “Are we back in the 31st century?”
He shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair. “No. There have been some. . . complications.”
My eyebrows shoot up and I step out of the cryo-pod. My clothes are sticking to my body and I gladly accept the stack of dry clothes Brainy holds out. “What kind of complications? Where’s Mon El? Is he still asleep?”
Brainy’s eye twitches in a telltale way and he turns around when I start taking off my shirt. “No, he is awake. He is out looking for a power source for the ship.”
I narrow my eyes at the back of his head and finish changing, running a hand through my damp hair. “Where exactly is he? I know there something you’re not telling me, Brainy.”
He peaks over his shoulder to make sure I’m decent before turning back around. “There is nothing I’m not telling you, Y/N.“
I scoff and brush past him to the ships main computer to see what’s going on. Before I can get my hands on the control panel though, he slips in front of me, blocking my view.
“What are you doing?” he asks.
I raise an eyebrow. “What am I doing? What are you doing? Move, please.”
He shakes his head and grimaces. “I can’t do that.”
Frustration bubbles in the pit of my stomach and I clench my jaw so as to not snap at him. “Why not? What is going on?!”
Brainy opens and closes his mouth like a fish out of water, but nothing comes out.
“Brainy, I swear—“
“Y/N.”
I spin around at the familiar voice and glare at my brother who’s dressed in his red Legion suit.
“Mon El.” I acknowledged him with a nod and send Brainy one last glare before asking, “What’s going on? Where are we? Or should I say when are we?”
“It doesn’t matter. I’ve got what we need and we should be back home in no time,” he replies and when my eyes drop to his hands I realize he’s holding a power cell.
Why is no one telling me what is going on?
My frustration turns into anger when Mon El tries to move past me without elaborating, so I grab his arm and yank him back.
“Either you tell me what’s going on right now, or I’m leaving the ship to find out myself!” I seethe through gritted teeth and it fills me with satisfaction to see him flinch ever so slightly.
He quickly reassumes his unfazed demeanor though and calmly replies, “Look, you weren’t supposed to wake up before I got back. We’re not home yet, which is all that matters, but I have what we need to get back, so don’t worry.”
I’m about to lunge at him when Imra boards the ship, also dressed in her Legion suit.
So they were out together. . .
“Mon El, Kara told me—“
She freezes when her eyes land on me and when it registers what she just said my heart drops. I let go of Mon El’s arm and turn to face her with shaking hands. “What did you just say?”
It’s almost a whisper but because it’s dead silent right now, Imra hears me.
“Y/N. You’re awake,” she says carefully, her eyes darting between me and Mon El.
“Yeah, no shit.” I take big step forward so I’m face to face with her, pointing at her chest. “Now tell me. What were you going to say?“
She swallows thickly, looking like a deer caught in headlights and when I don’t back down, her eyes drop to the floor and she mumbles, “Kara wanted me to tell Mon El that Winn managed to locate another power cell, should we need one that is. . .”
My jaw drops and my heart races in my chest. I spin around and stare at Mon El in disbelief.
“Kara?” I croak. “Kara?!“
Mon El sets down the power cell and hols out his hands to calm me down, but I’m way past the point of being calmed down now. “Y/N, please don’t make a big deal out of this. I—“
“No, you don’t get to talk to me like that!” I cried, feeling tears well up in my eyes. “How dare you not tell me we were back?”
His face is contorted into a conflicted grimace, and he tries to come up with an excuse, but I’m not having it.
“You weren’t going to wake me up, were you? You weren’t ever going to tell me about this, were you?” My voice breaks more and more as I continue speaking until I’m a crying mess.
“Y/N. . .” Imra places a hand on my shoulder, but I shrug her off, taking several steps back to glare at all three of my supposed friends.
“No, just stop,” I choke out, wiping at my tears. “I’ve waited, hoped, seven years for this moment, and you weren’t going to say anything.“
I stare at each of them for an explanation, or a reason as to why they weren’t going to tell me, but no one says anything, so I square my shoulders and use my sleeve to tame the never ending stream of tears.
“Wow. So much for family,” I scoff and make my way to the ship’s door. No one dares to stop me and as soon as I step outside, there’s only one thing left on my mind: Finding Kara.
Seven Years Ago
“Here you go.” I smile and hand Maya, one of our regulars, her coffee over the counter. She reciprocates the smile and thanks me before leaving.
I grab the next ticket and look it over, seeing that I only have to make a cappuccino and a hot chocolate.
I get to work, moving flawlessly around the space next to my coworker Conan, only to be pulled to the side when I go out back to grab a new crate of coffee beans.
“Kara, what the hell?” I shriek when I see the blonde grinning at me. She’s wearing her Supergirl suit and her blonde hair looks windswept.
“Hi!”
I push my glasses up the bridge of my nose and set down the coffee beans. “You can’t just sneak up on someone like that. One of these days I’m going to have a heart attack because of you,” I say, my lips twitching when she scratches her neck in embarrassment.
“You’re right I’m sorry,” she says, her smile not faltering, “even though I don’t think you could even have a heart attack if you tried.”
I roll my eyes playfully and pull her into a hug. She laughs and hugs back, and I’m pretty sure if I were human she would have broken my neck by now.
“Don’t get smart with me,” I warn with a chuckle when we pull back and she just smiles, tucking a stand of hair behind her ear. “So, what brings you by? Not my idiot brother again, I hope.”
Kara grimaces and shifts awkwardly. “Actually that’s exactly why I came by.”
I deflate and force myself to ignore the hurt that always claws at my heart when she talks about her relationship with Mon El. “Oh, alright then. What happened?”
For the first time ever, she seems to pick up on my change in mood pertaining this particular topic and she frowns. However, when I raise an eyebrow expectantly she clears her throat and a tentative smile tugs at the corner of her lips. “Well, I. . . I broke up with him.”
My eyes widen and I can’t stop a confused, “Why?” from slipping past my lips.
It was probably not the reaction she was expecting because she falters and starts nervously tugging at her skirt. “I-I just realized we don’t working together and he is just so different and— I thought you’d be happy for me.”
Seeing her pout I’m quick to grab her hands and make her look at me. “No, no, no. I am happy for you. I just— I thought maybe he broke your heart and you were sad about it and— I’m sorry. I’m glad you’re okay, and I’m glad you’re happy. That’s all that matters.”
Uncertainty flits across her face and her blue eyes search my face when she asks, “Really?”
I nod and squeeze her hands with a soft smile. “Really.”
Kara beams the next second and throws her arms around my neck. “You’re the best friend ever. How about we go out and celebrate tonight? I’ll ask Alex, Lena, and Sam to come, too.”
My heart breaks a little at the word friend, but I don’t let it show when I agree. “Sure. Just text me when and where and I’ll be there.”
“Yay!” Kara giggles and pulls back, her face lit up with happiness.
I smile fondly at the sight, feeling my heart flutter before scolding myself.
Stop, she’s your friend. Nothing else.
I sigh and gesture behind me. “I should get back to work.”
“Of course!” Kara’s eyes widen in realization, but she doesn’t lose her smile.
I return a half-hearted smile and get back to work, hearing the whooshing of her taking off just as the door closes behind me.
Since she broke up with Mon El three months ago, Kara has been around even more than before.
She shows up at Noonan’s daily just to chat which has gotten her in trouble with Snapper more often than not, and she spends most nights on my couch, passed out from her Supergirl duties.
Tonight was game night at her place and everyone except me has already left, leaving behind empty beer bottles and candy wrappers.
It was fun and filled with friendly competition, leaving a lingering warm feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I pick up the empty wine glass Lena drank out of and take it to the kitchen along with some empty beer bottles.
“I told you, you don’t have to do that,” Kara says, joining me in the kitchen with the empty popcorn bowl.
I shrug her off and take the bowl from her, placing it in the dishwasher before wiping my hands on my pants. “And I told you, I don’t mind.”
Kara’s blue eyes soften and she crosses her arms, her hands disappearing in the sleeves of her (my) sweatshirt. She borrowed it one night after showing up at my apartment covered in soot and ash, and she hasn’t returned it since.
The longer she watches me, the more nervous I get and I push my glasses up the bridge of my nose. “So, uh— How’s life?” I ask awkwardly which makes Kara chuckle.
She tilts her head adorably and smiles. “I can’t complain. How about you? How’s Maya?”
I cringe inwardly at the mention of Maya and shake my head with a soft laugh. We went on one date a couple of weeks ago because she asked me out, but I’m too hung up on the blonde in front of me, so I let Maya down gently.
Weirdly enough, Kara hasn’t stopped pestering me about it even though I keep telling her that there’s nothing going on between Maya and I.
“She’s fine I think. I told you I haven’t spoken to her since our date,” I say, drawing shapes on the counter next to me.
Kara raises an eyebrow and her eyes hold something I can’t quite place. “Well, is there someone else then?”
It’s a little weird how interested she is in my love life lately, but I try not to read too much into it.
“No,” I say quietly and Kara uncrosses her arms with a satisfied smile.
“Good. I don’t like sharing my best friend,” she says, placing a hand on my chest.
I swallow thickly and bite the inside of my cheek. “Yup.”
Kara squeezes my shoulder and moves past me, getting comfortable on the couch and looking at me expectantly when I don’t follow.
We usually watch a movie together after everyone’s already gone, but I don’t feel like staying tonight because it just hit me that she’ll never see me as anything other than a friend.
After she broke up with Mon El I thought I might get my chance with her after all, but now I know that that won’t be the case and all I want to do is go home and wallow in self pity.
“Actually, I think I’m going to head home, too,” I mumble, looking down as I drag myself to the door to put on my shoes and jacket.
Kara jumps off the couch and hurries toward me. “What? Why?”
I sigh and glance at her, seeing the confusion and hurt on her face.
“I’m pretty tired and I have an early shift tomorrow morning,” I say, pushing my glasses up the bridge of my nose again.
“O-Okay,” Kara stutters and I only hug her briefly before leaving, ignoring the way her eyes burn into the back of my head as I step into the elevator.
Now
I fly over National City, admiring the twinkling lights in the dark of the night as I make my way to a familiar apartment.
It’s cold and a few snowflakes land and melt on my face as I continue flying, but I ignore them and close my eyes briefly, taking a deep breath of fresh air.
The last time I was here, my lung felt like it was on fire but since being cured of my lead allergy in the 31st century, that is no longer an issue.
I descend slowly when I get close to my destination, feeling nervousness rise up in the pit of my stomach.
What if she doesn’t want to see me? What if she moved on? I mean, it’s been seven years. . .
Seven Years Ago
“What are we going to do?” Kara asks desperately, pacing back and forth.
We’re at the DEO, trying to figure out what to do about my mother’s attempt at invading the planet.
Alex looks to be deep in thought and Winn and Lena are talking in hushed voices a few steps away.
“Well, we could always use the device Lillian—“
Alex gets cut off immediately by Kara starting her down. “Absolutely not. We have to think of something else.”
I frown and glance at Clark who’s silently watching the whole scene unfold next to a defeated looking Mon El.
“What device?” I ask and when Alex and Kara go on bickering I ask again, this time louder and a little more aggressive. “What device?!”
No one says anything for a second but then Winn clears his throat and steps forward. “Lena and Lilian came up with a fail safe device that releases trace amounts of lead into the atmosphere when activated.”
I regret asking and immediately know why Kara doesn’t want to use it. It wouldn’t only force my mother and all the other Daxamites to leave, but also Mon El and me.
“I’m going to fight Rhea, and I’m going to win. There’s no other option. We’re not going to use that thing.” Kara states with a huff and it seems as though a decision has been made, but before anyone can leave I step forward with squared shoulders.
“No, you are not fighting our poor excuse of a mother,” I say calmly. “We are using the device. No one else has to get hurt and if it means Mon El and I have to leave as well, then so be it. Right?”
I look at Mon El and despite not seeing eye to eye on most things, he agrees with me and nods solemnly.
Kara whips around and glares at me. “We can’t just—“
“Yes you can,” I interrupt, turning to Alex before Kara can say anything else. “Get the device ready. Mon El and I will get our affairs in order and return to the DEO as soon as possible. You said Kara’s spaceship is still in working order, right? We’ll use it to get off Earth as soon as the lead is released.”
Alex pulls me in for a hug and lets out a shuddering breath but agrees to the plan and orders Winn and Lena to finish making the distributor.
Clark regards me with reverence and bows slightly, leaving shortly after to help in the ongoing fight against the invasion.
Mon El leaves too, shaking Alex’s hand and hugging Kara briefly, leaving me behind with the two sisters.
“I can’t believe you just did that!” Kara seethes, jabbing me in the chest with her finger. “I can fight Rhea. I can win!”
“No!” I argue, shoving her hand away and taking a step back. “You can’t win. My mother fights dirty and you will lose and I won’t let that happen. Not when there’s something I can do about it.”
Alex watched us with an uncomfortable look on her face before deciding she’s seen enough. She wordlessly slips out of the room and makes sure the door is properly shut behind her.
“Well, I’m not going to let you jet off into space with nowhere to go. You will die out there!” Kara spits through gritted teeth, the vein on her forehead pulsing dangerously.
“You don’t know that! But I know that you will get hurt if you fight my mother!” I shout and it makes her flinch because I’ve never raised my voice at her.
“But I can try! Why won’t you just let me do this?”
“Because I love you!”
I slap my hand over my mouth and watch as Kara’s eyes widen.
Well, I guess it’s out there now. . .
I sigh and take off my glasses, folding them before sliding them into my pocket.
“I love you, Kara, and not in a best friend kind of way. I won’t let you get hurt.”
Kara gapes at me and when she doesn’t say anything I clench my jaw and brush past her. “Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go home and get my affairs in order. There’s not much time left.”
Hurt claws at my throat when I leave the stunned superhero behind and I don’t try to stop the oncoming wave of tears.
I knew she didn’t think of me as more than a friend, but her blatant rejection of my feelings just now hurts more than anything I’ve ever felt before.
There’s not much I have to do when I get home because there isn’t much I can take with me, but I do sign the lease of the apartment over to my coworker Conan. He’s been looking for a new place to stay for a couple of months now and the apartment is payed off until the end of the year.
I also sign a resignation letter for work and put it on the kitchen counter next to my spare set of keys.
I’m just about to take some of the picture frames off the wall when I notice a nearing, familiar heartbeat.
I turn around just in time to see Kara coming in through the window with tears streaming down her face.
“What—“
I get cut off by a pair of lips on my own and my eyes widen before slamming shut.
Kara’s desperately pulling me closer by the back of my neck and I have to place my hands on her hips to stop myself from toppling into her.
She kissed me passionately and frantically, and I wince when I taste her salty tears.
I push at her hips, effectively breaking the kiss and stare at her questioningly. “What are you doing, Kara?”
I can’t let her play with my heart. Not now when I’m about to leave.
Another tear makes its way down her cheek and I fight the urge to wipe it away. She looks utterly hopeless and broken and when she whispers, “I love you, too’” the world stops spinning for a moment.
“It’s why I broke up with Mon El in the first place. You get me like no one else does. You listen to what I say and you’re kind, and modest, and your soul is beautiful. I can’t just let you leave. I-I want to go on dates with you. I want to hold your hand and wake up next to you. I want to make you breakfast in bed and kiss you until you’re breathless. Please don’t leave. Please. . .”
I feel my bottom lip tremble and squeeze my eyes shut. That is what I’ve wanted to hear for so long, and it’s so unfair that it’s just a little too late now.
“Kara, I can’t,” I whisper, opening my eyes again to find her blue eyes already on me.
She whimpers and surges forward, capturing my lips in another heated kiss.
I don’t fight her at all, pulling her closer by her waist until there’s virtually no space left between us.
Her lips are soft and warm, even though they’re moving against mine quite aggressively, and I sigh against her mouth when she buries her fingers in my hair and tugs me even closer.
I could get lost in this kiss and if it weren’t for the sudden burning sensation in my lungs I probably would have.
My grip on her waist involuntarily tightens and I pull back to double over and cough violently. It feels like I’m breathing fire and my throat closes, making me wheeze.
They released the lead.
I look up with tears in my eyes to find Kara watching me in horror.
“No, please. Not now,” she says, desperately cupping my cheeks.
She raises a hand to the comms device in her ear and frantically says something to the person on the other end. I’m assuming it’s Alex, but I can’t focus on what’s being said because the next time I cough, I’m coughing up blood.
It runs down the side of my mouth and I’m suddenly too weak to wipe it away, so Kara does it with alarm written all over her face.
She grabs me around the waist and hoists me over her shoulder, dashing out of the window within the blink of an eye.
The position is a little awkward and uncomfortable but I can’t focus on anything other than trying to get enough air in my lungs.
When we touch down on a field in the middle of nowhere, I see Mon El is already there, waiting and coughing next to Kara’s spaceship.
Kara sets me down gently and cups my cheeks again. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
I shake my head and press a kiss to the inside of one of her wrists, my hands landing on her hips as I sway dangerously on my feet.
I’m too weak to say anything so I just smile weakly, hoping it’s enough to show her that I’m not mad.
“I love you,” she chokes out, pulling out a necklace from beneath her suit. I realize it’s her mother’s and I try to pull away when she presses it into one of my hands. I can’t take something so valuable from her, but she just nods her head adamantly and pleads, “Take this. . . take this, please. It will keep you safe.”
I give in and cough again, holding my breath when she presses her lips against mine one last time.
When she pulls back and pushes me toward the ship, her face is twisted in agony and I know there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for her not to feel this way.
But there’s nothing I can do, so I get into the ship behind Mon El, clutching her necklace against my chest as the hood materializes above us and we start to ascend.
I mouth I love you, and watch her shrinking figure through the glass. She waves goodbye and I almost break down completely at the sight of her watery smile.
Now
I land on Kara’s balcony, suddenly no longer sure about whether or not I want to do this, but then I see her through the window.
She’s curled up on the couch with a thin blue blanket draped over her. The TV is off and she’s not on her phone either, making me frown and wonder what she’s doing but then I see her wiping her cheek with the back of her hand.
My heart drops at the sight of her looking so dejected and I step forward without thinking and knock on the door.
She freezes for a second before slowly looking up. Her eyes widen when the land on me and she stumbles to her feet, almost tripping over the blanket in her haste to get to the door.
She flings it open, breathing heavily and staring at me with her bloodshot eyes.
“Hey,” I whisper softly and it takes only a couple of seconds for her to throw her arms around my neck and sob into my shoulder.
For the first time in seven years it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her infinitely closer.
The familiar smell of her vanilla shampoo makes my own eyes sting and I choke out a sob.
“You’re here,” she says against my skin, refusing to let go. “I don’t understand. Mon El said you stayed in the future.”
I want to be angry at that revelation, but I just can’t be when I have her in my arms. I press a kiss to her temple and let my lips linger for a moment. “No, I’m here. I’m right here, and I’m not going anywhere ever again.”
Kara’s arms around me tighten and I bend down to pick her up by the back of her legs, carrying her inside.
She wraps her legs around my waist as I close the door behind us, and breathes heavily against my neck.
I move toward the couch and sit down, holding her in my lap as she continues to cling to me.
We stay like that until her sobs die down and she pulls back to look me in the eyes. Her hands cup my cheeks and she traces her thumbs over my cheekbones.
“I love you,” she croaks and I let out a shaky breath, pressing my forehead against hers.
My hands find their way to her hips and I squeeze carefully, whispering, “I love you, too.”
Kara brushes her nose against mine and pecks my lips tentatively. It sends sparks through my body and I respond immediately and move forward for more.
She hums, satisfied, and deepens the kiss by tugging at my bottom lip with her teeth. I gasp in surprise and she uses the opportunity to slip her tongue past my lips and brush it against my own.
It’s a feeling I’ve been craving since she kissed me for the first time and I haven’t stopped thinking about it for the past seven years.
Much too soon for my liking, Kara pulls back. She rests her hands on my chest and traces her index finger along the chain of the necklace she gave me. “Listen, I know it’s been seven years for you, but you have to know that it’s only been seven months for me since you left,” she reveals quietly and I feel my stomach drop when she adds, “So, you know, I get it if you’ve moved on. I mean, Mon El got married, so surely you—“
I cut her off with a soft kiss, letting my lips trail over her cheek and jaw before they land on her neck.
I nip slightly at her sensitive skin, drawing a barely audible moan from her before pulling back completely to meet her eyes.
“I would wait a lifetime if it meant I got to see you again,” I admit, my eyes darting between hers. Then to lighten the mood, I joke, “But I sure hope you haven’t moved on yet because if you have you’re going to be in quite a bit of trouble.”
The smile that lights up her face makes my heart flutter and she quickly shakes her head, denying that she’s seeing anyone.
“I haven’t gotten over you since you left and I honestly don’t know if I ever would have, but that doesn’t matter anymore. You’re here now and I’m not letting you go again.” She whispers that last part and closes the distance between us again to press a kiss to my neck right below my ear.
It makes me shudder and when she smiles against my skin, knowing exactly the effect she has on me, I pinch her side playfully.
She giggles and trails kisses up the side of my face, all the way across my forehead and down my nose until her lips land on mine in a short peck.
“So, what now? What’s going to happen to you and the Legion?” she asks, finding my hand to play with the Legion ring.
I shrug and trace patterns on her lower back with my unoccupied hand. “I will have some words with Mon El and the others about not waking me up, but I can promise you that I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. You’re stuck with me now.”
Kara laughs softly and squeezes my hand, wiggling forward on my lap so she can rest against my chest, her head tucked into the crook of my neck. “Good because I really want to go on dates with you and make you breakfast in bed.”
I smile and kiss the top of her head. “I can’t wait.”

Imagine your comfort character saying this to you:
"No no, no more tears, I'm right here; but, you need to understand that you're dreaming. When you wake up, I won't be here anymore. You will have to learn to live your life without me, but until then *shakey breath* will you sit with me a while longer?"

Bond of Steel
Pairing: Reader x Super friends, Alex Danvers x fem!reader (just some "more than friends" tension)
Summary: After Kara has a bad run-in with a super villain, it pulls you off of medical leave to go kick some villain butt, but you both end up learning a valuable lesson.
********************************************************
"Well if we approach from..." you stood around the table with Alex, Wyn, and Jon talking strategy for how to take down the latest threat to national city, with you still recovering from an injury Kara is by herself.
"Alex?... Y/N?..." you heard a breathy and tired voice call out to you, you could hear the heavy shuffling of feet. Turning you were met with a very beaten and battered Kara, your stomach flipped as you looked her over, she was barely standing in front of you cape torn, suit covered in slashes and blood, dirt covering every inch of her.
"Someone get me a gurney over here... NOW!" you commanded, of course staff scurried at the sound of your voice. You trotted over to Kara, turning into a sprint and dive as she started to fall and you caught her, Alex was on your heels tears threatening to fill her eyes as she overlooked her sister, scratches, cuts, and bruises covered her features. You looked down at her torso pressing your hand over hers to hold pressure on the large gash covering her side, blood seeping through her fingers into your hand, you pulled her closer to your body. Two agents rushed over with a gurney and you picked her up placing her on it, she let out a small groan of pain turning towards Alex as you started to rush her to the med bay.
"Someone page Superman!" you called out before leaving the room, you saw all devices coming into hands as everyone jumped at your command.
"She won, she almost killed me..." she whimpered out, you heard her and you could feel your powers going dark, you could feel it flooding back to you, all the memories of when you were an assassin before they rescued you.
"Hold on Kara just hold on..." you whispered to her.
15 minutes later and she was hooked up to every monitor and had special sun lamps on her allowing her to heal, you stood in the hallway looking through the glass doors. Alex walked up next to you, "Is she going to be okay?"
"She's definitely a fighter, we got a transfusion from her cousin and that should help. I should've been there..." you turned to look into her eyes and she saw the green in your eyes deepen.
"Y/N you just got back from a bad injury, I thought I was going to lose you, and you're almost unbreakable... there was no way for us to know that was going to happen."
"I could've helped, pulled her out early, then she wouldn't be laying here like this." you turned back towards her, watching as her chest rose and fell, it killed you to know that one of the Danvers family was hurting like that.
"Y/N..." Alex said softly, stepping forward to wrap an arm around you, leaning her head into your shoulder.
"Here." you said opening your arms to her, she hugged you tears falling as she hid in your neck, you rubbed a hand on her back soothing her until she pulled away eyes red.
"Let me take you back."
"I don't wanna leave her, and I can't go home..."
"You're no good to her here, let me take you to my place." she looked into your eyes and slowly agreed. the car ride back was fairly quiet, even as you pulled up and went into the house, she went right into your bedroom, you put your jackets away and threw your keys into the bowl on your kitchen island grabbing a bottle of water and making your way upstairs. You found a very tired Alex passed out in your bed, lights still on, she had found pajama pants and one of your old college hoodies in your closet and fallen asleep in them. Little did you know that your scent and the warmth was comforting for her, she felt safe, protected. you crawled in next to her after turning the lights out and felt as she gradually moved closer to you.
In the morning you were up before her and down in your kitchen making coffee, she rounded the corner, hair disheveled and plopped herself at your breakfast bar. there wasn't much talking before you changed, grabbing her a change of clothes, it wasn't the first time she had stayed so you made sure to keep so DEO basic uniform items at your place for emergencies.
When you got to work her first instinct was to be by her sisters side after hearing that she was awake and asking for her, Jon took you aside to give you updates, by the time Alex returned she found that you were suited up and in the field.
"Y-Y/N you idiot get back here..." Alex said over your intercoms.
"Alex, stay out of it."
"No Y/N don't do this she almost killed Kara."
"and that was her one chance she won't get another." you said before gently landing on the top of the building. You saw the other woman across the roof from you her royal purple suit a stark contrast to the grey industrial buildings surrounding you, "Eclipse."
"Ahh there she is Apex the infamous hero that fights side by side with Supergirl, do tell is she still breathing?" She said looking over your form, "she's fine" you growled
"Protective... I'm really gonna hate to do this then." you watched her, pace in front of you, your facial expression serious and unchanging, "you know you're too pretty to die, but doesn't mean I can't damage the great and mighty hero."
"I would like to see you try..."
"Try... darling I keep my word."
"That's what the last one said." you smirked seeing the flame light behind her eyes, "Ugh I hate arrogant heroes, but I can fix that..." she said rushing towards you, you let her hit you at the waist and pushed you off the building, you free fell, you quickly flipped and landed on your feet as she tumbled on the ground next to you, you walked over picking her up, but she landed a punch, causing you to stumble back, that when the fist fight started, punch for punch, catching them but the occasional catching you off guard. You both landed punches threw things, ran up sides of buildings, causing mass destruction, after one particular dodge you pivoted back, hearing the screeching of brakes as cars tried to stop, landing one last hard hit you knocked her back, speeding over to stop a large black SUV that wasn't going to stop in time, you ran around helping out a young expectant mother and walking her out of the way.
"Here, stay here you'll be safe."
"Thank yo-watch out." Before you could turn around to react, you turned enough and suddenly she had her hand around your neck picking you up and flying towards a tall glass building she dropped you sending you sliding through the glass and into the offices.
"Ugh..." you tried moving feeling pain start to set in. Before you could move she came flying back through the building picking you up and flying you through more walls, making back into open sky she dropped you right through a solid statue in the city center, you laid there the dust settling around you, feeling the cuts and bruises on your body, she stood over top you in the broken rubble.
"See I told you, I break heroes like you." she laughed before turning around to walk away, instead of accepting defeat you stood.
"who said you broke me?" you shot back in a whisper, she whipped around seeing you standing there dust still clearing.
"whatever doesn't kill you, eventually will...isn't that how that quote goes." she said teasing you.
"Whatever doesn't kill me better run, cause now I'm pissed." you said flying like a bullet towards her, landing hit after hit not giving her time to react, that was until she laid motionless before you, she was still breathing but you stood up walking over to the DEO team and laying her down, you quickly flew off. You landed on the verge of the DEO compound, stumbling through as the glass closed behind you, Alex rushed to your side as you collapsed.
Next time you opened your eyes, you were met by dimmed hospital lights, you stood and looked around, pulling out your IV and getting dressed. a nurse walked in quickly dropping the ipad she was holding before running back out of the room, moments later you heard rushed footsteps as Alex rushed into the room, "Y/N!" she said wrapping her arms around your neck.
"Hey," you said softly.
"I thought I lost you..."
"you can-..." before you could finish she pulled you into a kiss, at first surprising you but then you leaned into it.
"Alex?" you said sort of confused.
"I'm sorry, just don't ever do that to me again, you might be an idiot and think you're invincible but that just makes you my idiot and I can't lose you." she said not sure about making eye contact.
"Don't apologize, it's about time... sleeping at my house, your own drawer I mean come on, I'm not going anywhere." you said with a chuckle.
“shut up” she said tears filling her eyes, she jabbed softly at your side knowing you still felt some pain.
“hey..” you protested, leaning down to nip softly at her neck.
“hey whoa…” you heard Kara’s voice filling the room, “my sister and best friend, no… no ma’am please…”
“hey Kara.” Alex said laughing, before moving aside so she could hug you.
“hey.” You whispered as she squeezed you tight.
“You’re an idiot.”
“Me? For what?!”
“for going alone…”
“nothing i haven’t told her.” Said Alex.
“yea well I think there was a little more heat when you did it…” Kara poked, “you didn’t have to, you could’ve waited.”
“waited for her to come after you again, no chance in hell… I would give my life for this family, no way anyone will ever break that bond and it’s gonna take a lot more than that to kill me… just next time know that no matter what we fight together.”
“Bond of Steel, unbroken.” She said before hugging you again, “now I wanna know what I interrupted earlier and if it’s gonna result in a wedding and maybe some nieces and nephews?”
“oh God Kara…” Alex started blushing hard.
“haha how about in time…” you said laughing as you corralled them out of the room, “all in time.” You smiled down at Alex who was tucked under your strong arm.

MY WIFE
Kara Danvers x Reader
Prompt: “How could you do this to me?” “I’m sorry. I am so sorry.”
Word Count: 1700
…
You know something is different from the moment you walk inside your apartment. Nothing is out of place, and everything looks exactly how you left it when you went to work in the morning, but still, something is different and you can feel it.
You close the front door with a soft click and place your coat and purse on the rack, your shoes in the closet and your keys in the bowl.
The silence is unnerving, it’s not a normal silence, it’s an eerie silence. These walls seem to vibrate with an unspoken secret.
The glass of red wine on your kitchen counter is the first thing you notice. There’s red lipstick smeared on the edge, you recognize the shade but the dots stand too far apart for you to connect them just yet.
It’s almost eight o’clock, and you’re supposed to be attending a conference via Skype with the head of Engineering in Tokyo, but he canceled at the last minute because of a family emergency and you couldn’t wait to get home.
You aren’t supposed to be at home, you aren’t supposed to see whatever it is that this eerie silence is hiding.
A heavy and uncomfortable weight settles in the pit of your stomach, with each step that you take down the hallway, towards your bedroom.
The second thing you notice is the bedroom door being closed, and the dots begin to move slowly towards each other, as if they’re magnets and you’re taking too long to figure them out.
When your mind finally puts them together, you come to a stop at the same time that your stomach drops, your body aches.
The red lipstick, the door and the soft glowing red light that’s coming from underneath the door---the eerie silence.
You know what you’ll see when you push this door open, and a part of you wants to turn around and pretend this isn’t real.
The other part of you knows that there’s no going back, even if ignorance is bliss.
You turn the knob and push the door open.
The red light blinds you for a second, and another wave of pain hits you right in the pit of your stomach. You developed the red light bulbs because you’re married to a kryptonian, and the bulbs act as a suppressant for sunlight, a suppressant for her inhuman strength.
Your sister in law helped you carve the idea, but your best friend was key in making them work.
Your best friend.
Looking at her now you completely understand her eagerness in helping you out back then.
The thing about finding your spouse in bed with someone else, is that it becomes an out of body kind of experience. It’s not something that you ever expect to have to see, and your mind struggles to fully accept what your eyes are witnessing.
Finding your wife making love to your best friend and boss, it’s just devastatingly life altering.
They’re not fucking, they’re making love in a way that it’s particularly heartbreaking for you, because Kara is just as delicate when she touches you.
How ironic, you think, it is that without the red lights, Kara would have been able to notice you minutes ago.
You lean against the doorframe, your body feeling heavy and like it doesn’t belong to you. A headache is coming, your head is spinning and the pain that takes root in your chest reminds you of the car accident you were in when you were fourteen.
The emotional pain transcends to become something real. They might as well have carved open your skin with a scalpel, taken out your heart with their bare hands and let you bleed to death, and the pain would be exactly the same.
They haven’t noticed you, and you wait because you don’t know what to do.
What do you say in a situation like this? What do you do? Experience has only taught you so much.
You’ve been cheated on before, you told your wife the story about your girlfriend in college, and how you found her having sex with a cheerleader in your dorm room a few weeks before the semester was over.
She knows how you feel about cheating.
Lena knows too, of course, being your best friend she knows most of your inner thoughts, things that you can’t talk to your wife about, things that you trusted her with.
They knew you’ve been cheated on in the past, and they still did this to you.
You take a deep breath, just as Lena moans out your wife’s name, and you turn on the regular lights in your bedroom.
Whatever numbness you were feeling is broken by Lena’s throaty moan. You’re not willing to hear more of that.
Your wife is the first one to react, jumping out of the bed in a rush, wide eyes staring at you with fear and shock, and completely nude.
You don’t want to notice the little details, but you still do. You take notice of Kara’s red raw lips, abused from so much kissing. Her blond hair is a messy mane, from Lena’s desperate pulls.
And Lena, who takes a second to comprehend what is going on before she has the mind to close her legs and pull a white satin sheet to cover her naked body. There are angry marks on her neck, from where your wife’s lips must have sucked till it bruised.
Swallowing with difficulty, you look away, feeling sick to your stomach.
You’re a stranger in this life, you don’t belong in this narrative.
Your legs shake when you move, so you walk slowly, directly to your closet. You grab a suitcase, and that sparks a cascade of reactions.
“What are you doing?” Kara asks you in a rush, as she runs to your side. “What are you doing?” She asks again, when you meet her eyes.
You look at her for a fleeting moment, but you quickly discover that her panic is only making you angry.
She has no right.
Setting the suitcase on the mattress, you go around the bedroom, picking up what you deem necessary. You don’t plan on taking much, only what you need until you’re back on your feet.
You notice Lena being petrified on your bed, sheet clutching against her chest as she observes you.
“Please, stop. Please.” Kara begs, as she follows you back and forth, back and forth. You don’t stop packing.
“Please, just stop.” You eye the bedroom quickly, deciding you’ll buy whatever else, when Kara stands in front of you.
She’s thrown some pants on and a top, but Lena still hasn’t moved.
“This means nothing!” Kara screams, making you take another pause.
Your eyes flash towards Lena out of instinct, and you catch the exact moment the words hit her. She flinches, seems to shrink a couple of inches and even tears begin to roll down her cheeks.
Her pain doesn’t make you feel any better.
It’s clear that promises were made, conversations where you were supposed to leave the picture were held.
You try to advance towards the bedroom door, but Kara blocks your way.
“No, don’t leave. Please, don’t leave. Lena will go.” Kara rushes in. “Lena, leave!”
Lena flinches one more time, but she manages to pull herself back together quickly too.
“Immediately.” She says as she throws the sheet aside and stands from your bed.
This isn’t new. The way she moves around your bedroom is familiar, as if she’s been here a thousand times before today.
“You should stay. Work things out.” She tells you, as if she’s still your friend and her words aren’t liquid poison now.
“¡Out!” Kara tells her harshly but you don’t wait to see her getting dressed, you just take the suitcase and leave the room.
Kara follows you, rushes to block your path in the hallway again.
“Please, don’t leave. Don’t leave.” She begs, anguish washing over her features.
You see her pain, but you also don’t recognize the person standing before you anymore.
“¡She means nothing!” Kara exclaims, desperate to convince you. “I have no feelings for her. This was just sex. Nothing more and I am so, so sorry baby. Please. I love you. You’re my… my wife, please.”
Your heart breaks at hearing her words, mostly because you never thought of her as someone who could hurt you. Not even when you knew that she had the power of the sun in her bare hands, you always trusted her.
“Your wife.” You utter the words in a whisper, weighting them on your tongue and tasting only despair.
“I love you.” She fiercely tells you. “I love you, and I won’t ever, ever leave you. Please.”
When she tries to touch you, you back away from her slowly.
They say that every person has a breaking point, a switching moment, a flicker of time when they change. This must be that moment for you, because you know that this is the biggest pain you’ll ever get to feel.
This betrayal is your defining moment.
“Please.”
“I trusted you.” You tell her, refusing to acknowledge her pain no more. You hoped that you’d grow old together.
You’re almost at the door when Lena walks out of your bedroom, clad in a blue tight dress and stilettos.
She’s gorgeous, always has been.
When she’s close enough and both of them are standing next to each other, they become complete strangers to you.
They represent your life in two different ways, but your life altogether.
“Please, stay.” You tell Lena, your hand slightly raised, and tears spring from her eyes again. You put on your shoes, and pick up your coat and purse.
“No, she’s leaving.” Kara says. “Leave, Lena.”
“I’m so sorry.” Lena tells you, and you shake your head.
“How could you two do this to me?” You ask them but you don’t wait for their answer, as you open the door and walk out without your keys.
This won’t be the last time that you see them, Lena is still your boss, and Kara is still your wife.
You knew something was different when you got home, you just didn't know you were about to lose everything though.

Can't go back
Male Reader x Kara Danvers/ Yandere
Request: Please I'm begging you please make an yandere wonder women or kara el from the flask aka supergirl x male reader please I'll drink mop water and lick the dirty tile floor for this😭😭🎃
Kara just met you through Alex and Nia. She couldn't take her eyes off you and she didn't stop smiling. Alex convinced you to go to a party at Kara’s apartment and you just met her for the first time. You are in the kitchen eating chips then Kara goes up to you.
“Having fun?” Kara asked.
“Yeah, and the chips are good” You smiled.
“How did you meet Alex and Nia?” Kara asked.
“We go to the same cafe shop and one time I paid for their coffee because they didn't have enough. Before that, we always saw each other at the same time then they started talking to me and we became friends” You said.
“Oh, that's nice of you to do. Are you dating anyone?” Kara said.
“Yeah, I have a girlfriend we have been dating for two months now. But she couldn't make it tonight” You said.
She didn't like that answer, you having a girlfriend. In her mind, you are her boyfriend. She started to ask questions about your interests and so far you and Kara have some stuff in common. She tells you about her favorite food and what movies she likes. You and Kara keep smiling at each other.
✬ ✬ ✬ ✬
Kara hasn't seen you in two days but it feels longer to her. It's nighttime and she remembered you telling her where to eat when you didn't feel like cooking. She watches you leave the restaurant and she starts to follow you, but you don't notice her. She doesn't say a word and she watches you take out your cell phone. She saw your password for your phone and she reads your texts. You continued to walk towards your apartment, but she didn't go inside. She stands out and she uses her X-ray vision to see where you live. She walks away and she starts to think what she will do next.
———
The next day, you unexpectedly bumped into Kara at the cafe shop. But she was waiting for you the whole time and she already knows your schedule by heart.
“Hey, Kara I didn't expect you to be here” You smiled.
“I wanted to try this place. Alex, said they have good pastries here” Kara lied.
“I know you will like it and their coffee is really good,” You said.
“Yeah, can't wait,” Kara said.
You paid for Kara’s coffee and pastry. In her mind that meant you were in love with her and she couldn't stop smiling about it. You sit down with Kara, she is getting to know you better. She wanted to know everything about you but she got mad that your girlfriend called.
“Y/N, how about we would watch Inside Out 2? I can come and pick you up” Kara smiled.
“Yeah, sounds great. I will text you my address” You said.
“Yeah, sure I don't know where you live,” Kara said awkwardly.
“Umm, okay. I will text it to you right now” You said.
Kara watches you text and she already knew it, but you didn't know that. She got your text and she can't stop smiling about it. In her mind, she thinks it is a first date for you and her.
Later that night…
Kara did go to your apartment and she is ready for the date.
“I will be right back, I have to get something in my room,” You said.
“Take your time” Kara smiled.
You go to your bedroom and Kara looks around. She noticed your phone on the coffee table, she picked it up and she unlocked your phone. She texted your girlfriend pretending to be you and she sent a breakup text and your girlfriend started to text back, then she blocked her phone number and deleted the texts and pictures on your phone. She puts the phone down and she doesn't feel bad at all.
“Okay, we can leave now,” You said.
“Awesome” Kara smiled.
You and Kara leave the apartment. At the movie theater, you and Kara played some games together. Then you paid for the snacks then went to find the seats.
“I really wanted to see this movie so badly,” Kara said.
“Me too. I did enjoy the first movie. I thought Alex was going to come join us” You said.
“Alex is busy, that's why she didn't come. What do you want to do after the movie?” Kara said.
“I’m going to see my friends later,” You said.
“I thought we could spend time together after the movie,” Kara said.
“Next time, not tonight,” You said.
After the movie, you take her home. But you didn't notice Kara is following you. She watched you spend time with your friends and she didn't like them. She wants you all to herself and she starts to think of a plan.
✬ ✬ ✬ ✬
You are confused as to why your ex-girlfriend won't talk to you. She showed you the texts but she doesn't believe that you didn't send them. She told you to leave her alone. You went to your apartment and you are trying to think what just happened. But once you go inside your apartment you don't expect to see her
“Supergirl? What-what are you doing here” You asked
“Y/N, I’m here to see you and we will be together and no one will take you away from me,” Kara said.
“It doesn't work like that. I’m not in a relationship with you” You said.
You tried to run towards the door but she used speed to block your exit. Then she used a spray to make you unconscious, you fell and she bent down. She smiled and she touched your cheek softly
“We will be together, Y/N. You are mine forever” Kara smiled.
She picked you up in bridal style then she flew away with you. She takes you somewhere isolated and she locks you inside the basement. She locked the door and she waited for you to wake up.
“Where am i?” You asked.
“Somewhere isolated. No one person or town near us” Kara said.
“Why are you doing this?” You asked.
“Y/N, we belong together. When we met at the party for the first time when Alex introduced you to me, I knew we belonged together” Kara smiled
At first, you are confused about what she is talking about. You started to think a little harder then you figured it out.
“Kara, you are supergirl!?” You said in shock.
“You are smart” Kara teased.
She stands closer to you, grabs your shirt, and kisses you on the lips. You did kiss her back then she pulled away
“I wanted to kiss you for so long,” Kara said.
“Are you going to unlock the cuffs on my ankle?” You asked.
“In time,” Kara said.
She gives you a peck on the lips then she leaves. You sigh heavily and you sit on the ground and Kara goes back to National City.

Your what??
Kara Danvers x gn! reader
Summary: Kara starts acting weird and you're confused, but Kara is confused as to why you're acting the same as always.
Warnings: nothing really
A.N. have this while I finished the requests
Word count: 3280

-
Kara has been acting... different, lately, not so different to the point you'd think something was wrong, but enough to the point you'd notice.
She was also only acting this way towards you, which made it harder for you to say something. Anytime you tried to bring it up, everyone always claimed nothing changed.
But then again, she was still her usual cheerful self, so you didn't question it.
"Alex, John said he was looking for you" the agent stopped talking with you to turn around and look at her sister.
"oh yea, we still need to interrogate Will" Alex said, referring to the guy you and Supergirl just captured "we'll let you know if he talks" she assured, walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.
You then noticed Kara quickly skipping towards you, causing a smile to form on your face. "are you ready to go home?"
Being the only two in the room of the DEO made it possible for her to use your real name.
"home?" you questioned, watching how she started playing with her fingers, her confident act dropping in the comfort of the empty room.
"yea I thought since I don't have to work tomorrow, you could come sleep at mine" your amused smirk caused her to ramble even more "we don't have to do anything, I just thought it would be fun to spend the night together"
This was the shift in behavior you noticed, still chirpy, still Kara Danvers like, just...more affectionate, in a way.
"I have something to take care of at work tomorrow morning" you never had sleepovers, so you didn't understand the reason behind her frown, and how she lowered her head taking her bottom lip between her teeth.
But it still made you feel bad.
You took one step closer and left a soft kiss on top of her head "we can have lunch together when I'm done?"
You let out a sigh of relief when she eagerly nodded, replacing her frown with a smile. You smiled back, before walking past her to get out of the room.
As you opened the door however, her voice stopped you.
"do you think I can, maybe, tell Alex?" she turned around to see your perplexed expression. "you know, she's my sister and I want to-"
"of course" you nodded, albeit confused "why couldn't you?"
"I was just, making sure" she shrugged, her cheeks tainted a light shade of pink "thank you"
And she said it so sweetly you couldn't help but chuckle. "bye Kara"
"bye, Y/N" she replied when you were already out of the room.
- - - -
"hi"
You raised your head from your phone to find Kara smiling at you. As you got up to give her a quick side hug, to which she responded with both of her arms around you, you noticed she was alone.
You were about to ask if Alex was going to be late or if she couldn't come at all, but the blonde stopped you with a question of her own.
"can i sit next to you?" you briefly looked at the booth in front of you, occupied only by her bag, then turned to look at her.
"uh, sure" you spoke up after a second, making room for her to seat.
"how was work?" she made no move to grab the menu in front of her, instead leaning on your side when you opened yours, putting her head on your shoulder.
"uh, good" you hesitated again, causing Kara to distance herself from you with a worried expression
"oh I'm sorry" she must have realized the position she was in, and how you didn't reciprocate the affectionate touch "do you want me to sit across from you?"
You thought it over. You have never been a really touchy person, and Kara's sudden but constant affection was obviously weird; but the way she always seemed attentive to your reactions, like this moment, and the softness of her hands whenever she wanted to hold yours, you didn't exactly hate it. You quite liked it.
"no, it's fine" you cleared you throat, and felt the weight of her head going back on your shoulder. "it's just...new"
And Kara chuckled, adjusting the glasses that almost fell with the new position. "yea, I bet it is"
- - - -
A few days later, while Kara was texting you about a new movie she'd like to go watch with you, Alex called you both over at the DEO because the alien you captured a week ago escaped.
As soon as you got there you felt two strong arms engulfing you in a hug, a familiar scent invading your senses. "hello, partner" Supergirl whispered. The hug ended before you could register it ever happening, as her hand slid down your arm to take a hold of your own. "come on, we're waiting for you"
Bringing Will back proved to be fairly easy, they had enough intel on him to predict where he was heading to.
But it hadn't been...pretty. or dry.
"you brought him back just in time, we put a guard outside of his cell until we know what to do with him" John stood tall with his hands on his hips. Then his gaze shifted on your drenched hair, and your even more drenched suit, offering you a sympathetic, and dare you say proud, smile.
"good job you two"
He didn't wait for you to thank him, and walked off.
Droplets of water kept on falling from the tips of your hair down to your nose and onto your eyelashes, making you continuously blink them away.
"I better get going, I'd rather not catch a-" You raised your head from the ground when you heard rustling and heels clicking on the floor from the other side of the room.
Your back instantly felt warmer, red cape around your shoulders.
"you know I can't get sick, I could have jumped into the river to catch him" she almost wanted to laugh at his desperate attempt to hide "you didn't have to"
She saw how you crossed you arms tighter every time a shiver run up your spine, so she brought her hands to your biceps, gently squeezing, and felt you shrugging your shoulders.
"I know," you softly smile "but I didn't want you to get your hair wet" and she instantly glanced back at yours "it looks like you put a lot of effort in it"
Kara raised her eyebrows, giggling at your words "is that a compliment?"
You shrugged a second time, but your answer was wiped away by a soft sneeze, and a shiver right after it.
"okay that's it, go home" she firmly stated, tapping your biceps twice before letting her arms fall to her sides. "you can give it to me tomorrow at game night" instead of helping you remove her cape like you intended to do, Kara clasped it tighter around you so it wouldn't fall on your way home. "you're coming right?"
there was a light uncertainty in her voice, but you didn't catch it
"I want my partner to be there"
You never missed a game night since she invited you the first time, unless you had important work to do.
"of course, unless I get-" you covered your face when another sneeze hit you "sick"
- - - -
Thankfully a warm bath and a deep sleep prevented you from getting sick, even if the hardest task was convincing Kara you didn't need her to come over and bring you soup.
As you got off your phone with one of your coworker to delegate your work, you didn't have time to knock on the door as it flew open right before your eyes.
"I heard you talking" Kara was standing in front of you with a smile on her face, whispering the words in case you were still on your phone.
You quickly greeted her and reached inside of your backpack. "it's a bit wrinkled I'm sorry, I didn't want people to see me walking around with Supergirl's cape in hand"
She took it from your hands and moved it to the side so it wouldn't be in the way when she leaned in to give you a hug.
Alex came up behind her and called your name, while Kara got back to her room to put the cape away.
"hey" Alex's arms wrapped themselves around you, it wasn't a bad hug, but it felt lighter than when her sister did it. And you had a feeling it wasn't because of the kryptonian strength.
"hi" she glanced back at the room where everyone was carelessly chatting before turning back to you, lowering her tone. "Kara told me."
Told her...told her what?
"and you know she's my sister, so this is my duty" she stopped, raising the beer in her hand, completely unaware of your confused expression "to tell you that if you dare-"
She was stopped however by the rest of group calling your names, so the -game- part in game night could finally happen.
So when she assured you this wasn't over, with a seemingly threatening tone you might add, you could only hope for some clarity.
It was a few hours later when the excitement died down, and the night turned into light conversations and soft tones, where sleepiness started to make itself present.
Except for you, Alex, and Brainy, intent on playing a very competitive Mario kart race on Kara's tv.
You and Alex were fighting for the first place, while Brainy was a few seconds away, in fifth place.
"you know I haven't forgotten about our talk right?" Alex spoke up as a mean to distract you, a smirk playing on her lips.
You let your eyes move to her for a second, and decided to play the part "okay, what do you want to tell me?"
She shook her head, not falling into your trap. Instead, she leaned into your side and bumped her shoulder with yours, making you grip the controller tighter.
"come on Danvers, that's all you got?" you noticed on the little map in the corner of the screen Brainy's character being surpassed by two cars, making you glance at the man to make a witty remark.
You didn't have time to open your mouth however, as Alex used your distraction to push your character off a cliff.
Your groan joined her proud laugh, but it didn't last long, as she soon found herself in the air, hit by a blue shell.
Courtesy of Brainy.
"Brainy!"
"I didn't mean to hit you" he said, and he sounded genuine "I meant to hit Luigi in front of me, why did hit you?"
Thankfully Nia explained it to him, so you and Alex could focus on the race "the red shell hits the person ahead of you, the blue shell hits the person in first place" after his nod, she put her head back on his shoulder.
You and Alex were once again head-to-head, while Brainy was quickly catching up, now in fourth place; and just as you were about to reach the finish line you paused the game; the loud complaints of your opponents startling those who weren't playing, especially Nia, who sleepily rubbed her eyes.
But you gave them no thought, and turned your head to look at the blonde who tapped your shoulder.
She had a light blush on her cheeks as everyone's eyes were now on the two of you. So she opted to whisper, hoping no one other than her sister, who was still leaning into your side, could hear.
"can you stay for a bit later? for..you know" Kara had one thing in mind, Alex had another, judging by her disgusted expression, while your head was completely blank.
But once again, you didn't have time to voice your confusion, as Alex pressed a button on your controller, resuming the game.
You whipped your head to the tv but it was already too late as the agent finished in first place with you in second place, followed by Brainy. "oh come on you cheater!"
You asked for a rematch after the race, but Nia was drifting in and out of sleep on Brainy's shoulder, so they decided it was time to go, and Alex just wouldn't give you the satisfaction.
So everyone used this as a excuse to end the night, leaving you and Kara alone.
You raised from the couch to help her clean up, and you two soon fell into a rhythm.
The silence created was only interrupted by questions of were you should throw away the trash or the leftover pizza, and by the game music softly playing in the background.
You refrained from asking her why she wanted you to stay, as you waited for her to bring it up. But you could see in her furrowed eyebrows and her slightly uncoordinated steps that she was indeed thinking about it.
So you decided to cut the head off the snake.
Leaning on the back of the couch to peek at the blonde in the kitchen you asked her "why did you ask me to stay?"
Your tone hid no malice, but Kara still looked taken aback, and rounded the counter to stand a few feet away from you.
She began playing with her fingers, her gaze lowering to look at them.
"I wanted to ask you if...if you had anything in mind for tomorrow?"
She couldn't see your conflicted expression but she could hear you sigh, and she raised her head, adjusting the glasses that moved with the motion.
Kara being weird, Alex looking at you differently, claiming she had to talk to you. You were tired of all of it. You just wanted some clarity.
"i don't know what tomorrow is" you let your arms fall to your sides, and you almost wanted to take it back when you saw the hurt flash in her eyes, but you know it was best you didn't. "what is tomorrow? Did I promise you something?" your question close to a plea
"no you didn't promise me anything, but I assumed we could do something" she crossed her arms, and slightly raised her voice "I would have been fine with not doing anything, but you forgetting about it is a kind of a low blow"
You furrowed your eyebrows, you could feel the annoyance radiating off her body, and you wanted to punch yourself in the face for it, but no matter how much you racked your brain for an answer, nothing came up.
So you got closer to her, cautious of her tense shoulder, and tried again with the kindest tone you could master.
"please Kara, I have no idea what you're talking about. Can't you just tell me?"
"I shouldn't have to tell you Y/N" she shakes her head "you should remember when we started dating"
uh?
you and Kara were dating? And nobody told you?
More time passed between Kara's outburst and your silence, more things started to make sense, the way Kara started being more affectionate towards you, how she always asked you to spend alone time with her, and the looks she gave you from across the room.
All things you would expect from a couple.
And come to think of it, she has been acting this way for like...
"a month?"
oh god.
You blink twice. Is that what Alex wanted to talk to you about?
"yea tomorrow is a month" Kara echoes, then her defensive stance turned into one of defeat "did you seriously not remember?"
The answer was yes. You and Kara were dating, and nobody told you.
The answer was no. You didn't remember.
She was already mad, so you figured telling the whole truth couldn't make the situation any worse, you hoped.
You weren't able to stop the incredulous laugh before it escaped your lips, and told her the truth "I didn't know we were dating. Believe me" you added, because even though you were indeed telling the truth, you wouldn't blame Kara for not believing you, and kicking you out of her apartment.
And it was really hard for her to believe you, and she had to will herself not to throw you out the window. You were still her best friend after all, so she trusted you not to play with her feelings like that, so it must be something else.
Did you knock your head while fighting the last alien?
So she bit her tongue, and pondered her next question. "how do you not know? You were the one who asked me."
It felt like she was looking for the answer in your eyes with how intensely she was looking into them, but all she could see was an empty stare.
"I don't...remember. I think I would remember something like that?" you muttered, and you started considering the head injury too.
The blonde sighed, the rage and hurt being put aside for the moment. She still had her arms crossed but they weren't as tense, and you noticed.
"when that livewire copycat and that shapeshifter started creating chaos all over the city, do you remember that?" she stopped for a second to see you carefully nodding your head "and Nia went to stop the shapeshifter while we went after the other one" She took a deep breath, suddenly embarrassed to narrate the events out loud "before going after him, you stopped me and asked me if- you asked me if I wanted-"
"if you wanted to be my partner" you interrupted her, while a deep red rushed to your cheeks.
Her cheeks became red too, even if she lowered her head to try and hide it. She nodded.
You loudly cleared your throat. You definitely could have explained it better.
"I meant uhm, I meant work partner. I didn't mean-"
You were stopped by Kara's breath hitch. She didn't know how to feel, the anger was being quickly replaced by the embarrassment of her actions of the last month. "work partner?" she parrots "what does that even mean?"
You shrugged your shoulders "my work partner! it was our first real assignment together, the day we started being a team" You see her shoulders drop, and yours drop with hers, your voice coming out softer this time "I'm sorry"
Kara let out a big sigh, shaking her head "it's not your fault." because it wasn't "I just can't believe I've been attached to you a whole month and you never noticed!" she tilted her head to the side. And while she was still reliving the past few weeks, you could tell she was feeling more at ease.
"No no I did notice, but you seemed normal..so I didn't ask" you really should have
"why did you agree when I said I wanted to tell Alex?"
"I thought you wanted to invite her for lunch" you shrugged your shoulders, laughing with her at the absurdity of it all. But then it felt natural to ask "Why have you never tried to kiss me?"
You saw her cheeks becoming a shade darker, while she stammered a bit "I thought you wanted to go slow and I wanted to go at your pace." Her hands went to smoothe the wrinkles on her sweater, but it was probably just an excuse not to look into your eyes "But now I know why you were so stiff whenever I tried anything"
Silence fell between the two of you, with Kara awkwardly looking at everything but at your face, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
Then you cleared your throat and straightened your back. "Would you like to?"
She raised her head when she heard your footsteps getting closer. "What?"
So you repeated "Would you like to? Kiss, I mean" you got closer to her face, giving her enough space to pull back "We've been together for a month now after all"
Kara audibly gulped, while her gaze moved from your eyes to your lips "Well uh- uhm, technically tomorrow is a month, but I wouldn't-" -mind.
That's what she meant to say, but you didn't give her time as your lips fell on hers.
You distanced yourself after just a second to look at her face, but she brought you right back by the back of your neck.
Saying you had never thought about kissing Kara would be a great lie, especially with all those moments where she was too close for comfort, too close to not get caught staring at her probably- soft, probably- sweet lips. And now you could finally confirm their softness as you felt them against yours, and how sweet they were when you tongue came out to taste them.
You eventually pulled away again, admiring the red tint of her cheekbones as she kept her eyes closed for a second longer.
"since I already did it once I'm going to do it again" you whispered "and this time I mean it the romantic way"
Kara's smile twitched upwards, and reached for your hand.
"do you want to be my partner?"
Instead of answering verbally, she leaned in to take your lips in hers one more time. But when she broke off the kiss you could see she was still pondering something.
"so, when is our anniversary going to be?"

Feveruary Day 16–“Is it just me or is it really warm in here?”— Fem!reader x Kara Danvers/Supergirl
“Hey.” Your girlfriend speaks softly as she gently bumps her hip to yours. The two of you were standing in front of the sink, washing dishes together after breakfast. It was Saturday morning and after sleeping in, you shared a lazy morning with Kara, content in savoring the abnormal quiet day where her Supergirl duties are set aside for time with you.
As much as Kara loved days like these, she couldn’t help but notice something was off with you today. She just doesn’t know what.
“Yeah, love?” You turn to look at her and your eyes fall upon wide puppy dog eyes and the infamous small crinkle that forms between her brows whenever shes worried. “You alright? You seem quiet today.” The blond asks, hoping not to sound too over-observative .
You muster up the most convincing smile you can. “I’m fine, baby. Just tired. It’s been a long week.” You murmur, hoping she doesn’t see through you too easily. You went to bed last night feeling a bit off but not terrible and this morning you woke up feeling the tell tale signs of cold starting to settle into your achy body. A small headache, slight sniffle, and a gentle rasp in your throat that throbbed anytime you spoke or swallowed.
Kara nods and turns to put the last dish away, but when she looks at you again, her puppy-dog eyes are still very much present. “Really Kar, I’m okay. Promise.” You assure her, reaching up to gently place your finger to her forehead crinkle, effectively making it soften.
She smiles at your soft touch. “How about we stay in today? Cuddles and a movie marathon?” She offers excitedly and you find your lips turning up into a genuine smile, beaming at your adorable girlfriend. Kara’s always extra cute when she gets excited about things she loves.
You look out the window to see a steady rain start to fall from the dark puffy clouds. A perfect storm for Kara’s movie plans. “Sounds perfect.” You hum and Kara makes a happy squeal as she effortlessly picks you up, gently throwing you over her shoulder as she runs for the couch.
When she plops you down you immediately grab her waist and pull her down into your lap, wrapping your arms around her as you both start laughing. However, your moment of joy is interrupted when a harsh shiver runs down your spine, and despite a piercing cold chill it sends, you find yourself feeling a rush of heat flow to your cheeks.
Kara sensing the sudden shift immediately crawls out of your lap, switching into protective girlfriend mode as she gazes at you once more with a worried smile. You however aren’t paying attention, your eyes closing momentarily as you tug at the collar of your shirt.
“Is it just me or is it really warm in here?”
Her brows furrow deeply at your words and you look up to see her ocean blue eyes observing you intently, a loving tenderness hidden behind the intensity. Momentarily, Kara can’t tell if you have a fever as a heavy pink blush rushes to your cheeks. Not a second later her cool palm is pressed against your forehead and you let out a small sigh of relief at the fleeting sensation of bliss that her soft touch brings.
“fine, huh? You’ve got a fever, y/n.” You can see as she immediately shifts into ‘protective girlfriend mode’ as you like to call it. You can’t think of a reply so she continues. “When did you start feeling sick? Why didn’t you tell me, love?” Kara tries not to look too hurt but you know she is anyways.
“I’m sorry, Kar. I only started feeling off last night and by then I just wanted to go to sleep, and today I thought I could ignore it…I guess it’s a little worse than I thought. I’m sorry.” You repeat and Kara listens while you go off into a slight rant, her hand now resting gently on your flushed face as you speak. She lets out a little sigh.
“It’s okay, I’m just more worried about you than anything. I’m glad we decided on a day in.” She smiles softly and you feel forgiven even though you know Kara would say there’s nothing to be sorry for. She pulls you in so you’re cuddled against her side and she cradles your head to her chest.
“Is there anything I can do that will make you feel better ?” She asks sweetly and you shake your head against her, really all you need is your girlfriend, well any maybe some fever reducers, but you’ll take those later.
“Not even if I flew to Sweden and brought back your favorite cinnamon buns?” Kara asks knowingly and your head perks up at her offer. “I mean…we just ate breakfast, but I’ll never say no to that!” The idea of having your favorite treat does indeed make you feel a little better, at least your mood does. Kara chuckles lightly at your adorable excitement.
“Then wait no more! I’ll be 30 minutes tops.” She promises, getting up from the couch and changing into her super suit faster than you can blink. “Hurry back.” You hum against her lips when she leans down to kiss you softly. “I will.” She calls to you, walking backwards towards the window. “Speedy is practically my middle name!” You laugh at her impossibly cheesy words.
With that she Kara opens the window, letting a chilly gust of wind ruffle the curtains as she flies away, leaving you to curl up under a blanket on the couch as you turn on the tv, searching for something to binge when Kara gets back. True to her word, not even half an hour later, you hear the click of her boots on the floor and no sooner is she in front of you, presenting you with a box of sticky, cinnamon-y goodness.
You glance from the box to her face, her skin and hair are dripping with water from flying in the rain but she doesn’t seem to notice or care as she beams proudly at you. “New record I think!” She chimes and you stifle a laugh, amusement all over your expression. “Kara, hon…the carpet.” You point out and she looks down to see a puddle of water pooling onto the carpet from her cape.
“Oh right! One sec.” The box is left in your hands as she speeds away with a whoosh and returns moments later, hair tied up in a loose braid with sweatpants and a cozy sweater both dry and warm. She joins you back on the couch, taking the treats from you as you cuddle right up to her, burning your face in her neck.
Kara frowns when she feels the amount of heat radiating off you. Barely half hour since she left you and your fevers’ already much worse. “Baby.” She hums, holding you tight and pressing a kiss to your hair. “Did you take any meds yet?” She asks and when you say no, she’s immediately gone and you can hear her rustling through the cabinets for the Tylenol.
She returns with the small bottle and a big glass of cool water, handing both to you so you can take the recommended amount. You close your eyes as the cold water soothes your aching throat and when you open them, she’s disappeared again, though of course she’s back just seconds later. “Here babygirl.” Kara hums, sitting down so you can curl up on her as she pulls a thin throw blanket over your shoulders.
A moment later you feel relief when Kara presses a cold cloth to your forehead and it isn’t long before a movie is agreed upon and the two of you have made a large dent in the box of cinnamon buns. With your fever kept at bay, the sound of the rain pattering against the windows, and the feeling of Kara’s breath beneath you, all it takes is her fingers running through your hair for you to pretty much immediately drift off into a much needed nap.
“Feel better love.” Kara hums, placing a light kiss to your hair when she feels your breathing even out and your body relax even further against hers.

Where I Don’t Belong
One shot | Supergirl Masterlist | Masterlists

Fandom: Supergirl
Pairing: Kara Danvers x fem!Reader
Genre: angst & smut
Words: 3.7k+
Warnings: 18+, minors DNI, jealousy, spanking, oral, fingering, strap-on use, degradation (like a little tiny bit), daddy kink, overstimulation, implied squirting, top!Kara, bottom!reader
Summary: Never one to deal with rejection healthily, you find yourself moving from bed to bed, night after night, trying to find solace in the bouts of pleasure strangers offer. But when Kara, the person who drove you to commit such deeds, confronts you, the trajectory of your evening is completely altered.
A/n: I'm rewatching Supergirl, so reap the benefits, peeps, cause after this, it's back to my JJ fic! Also, @rafesgfs didn't let me smoke until I finished this, so it's thanks to her that this was completed today <3
Festering shame that started the night at only a simmer boils over and burns your whole body, sets your skin alight and sloshes the alcohol sitting in your empty stomach in tight circles, like that of a washing machine. It's fucking filthy. Hot, sticky and filthy being pressed up against a stranger, grinding against a hardening cock in hopes that maybe the moderate length of it will taper the resounding feeling you hold for another.
Everyone deals with rejection in their own way.
Sweat marks your forehead, and the bitter smell of stale spirits permeates your nostrils. Somehow, you convince yourself all you know is the music and the empty promises the body behind you has to offer.
You hear him mutter something, groan in your ear at how you feel so good, how he can't wait to fill you, stretch you. The churning in your gut intensifies, and your throat is thick with bile. You force yourself to moan–ever the obedient woman. He wants to feel wanted; you want the same. It's easy to use each other, get lost in a bit when there will be no consequences, knowing the following morning you'll be gone, and two people will have a hollow sense of satisfaction buzzing between only their legs. It's what you tell yourself; 'It's easier this way', 'You're doing what you need to cope and survive', and 'You're only human'.
The dancing - if it can be called that - continues with your eyes shut as you try to alleviate the steady burn of desire coated in sticky shame. Addled with flashing lights, the black behind your eyelids brings you little comfort, but you're no longer naive to think anything really will, other than sex, that is.
It's mucky, the alleyway by the side of the club. The thick air smells like bad decisions and cigarettes, yet you haven't the mind to care. His lips are rough on your neck, stubble rubbing uncomfortably against your collarbone, and you're beginning to pick apart the scent of his sweat under the worn-out notes of cologne. Crazed hands palm at your breasts so manically it becomes hard to derive any pleasure from the act - you force yourself to try.
Between all the frenzy, your purse slips past your shoulder, landing on the soggy ground, and you find yourself welcoming the reprieve the opportunity garners.
You spin around, trying to squint past the inebriation to locate it. It's landed short of a murky puddle, and you thank your lucky stars that there were only a few specks of dirt littering the suede material. The effects of endless nights spent dancing and fucking echo in the cracks of your worn-out muscles, your squatting position not helping to dull the ache at all. You know the longer this position is held, the more it'll hurt to stand up, but your reflection stares at you on the surface of brown water, holding you hostage with a haunted picture painting its canvas.
Sleepless nights tug at the bags under your eyes, leaving the skin gaunt. The colour does not show, but you know, under your concealer, it's tinged purple. There's no shine to your face; highlighter only takes you so far in accentuating your cheekbones and brightening your false smile, never filling the devoid look of a rejected, broken heart.
The matter of fact is, even if your body is feeling the brunt of unfavourable coping mechanisms, it's better than lying awake in bed and relying on benign hope to see you through the dark hours of the day.
Brushing the muck off your bag, ready to discover how you would end the night, you look to where your companion should be waiting. It would either be a cheap hotel or his place, never yours; there was something too visceral about doing a stranger in a bed that not even alcohol could mask.
Except when you turn, it is not a gruff face you find but, "Kara?"
Confusion marks your face, the question of where your soon-to-be fuck had gone evident because before you can quite finish, let alone begin to ask, Kara's already opening her mouth.
"He's fine."
"Where?"
"What?" she feigns ignorance, picking at a pristine nail.
"Don't be coy, Danvers," you spit out, trying to sound as authoritative as a whisper would allow. Angry as you might be, no amount of rage or blood toxicity could divest you of the need to keep her secret. "Where is he?"
She doesn't even try to hide it—the disgust. Her face is awash with it, and her grimace would sting if she hadn't so wounded you already.
"He's lucky I didn't-" She startles as you step forward, palms jabbing at her chest and knocking her back. If it weren't for the shock of your sudden strike, you're sure she wouldn't have budged at all, but you take the small victory point all the same and continue your mission of forcing Kara off her high horse.
"You didn't what?" you ask through gritting teeth, "Beat him to a pulp? Drop him off the top of a building? Kill him?!"
Aware you were now raising your volume to a level bystanders would be able to hear, a fact proven by the far-off looks of a group of young women, you reined your fury in, taking a deep breath and squaring your shoulders.
"Do you know what you've put me through?" she asks without malice, her choked voice chinking your amour. It seems a genuine question, born from betrayal. Her eyes are wide and waiting, incredulous to believe you'd ever knowingly hurt her in the way you supposedly had.
"What are you talking about?"
"Every night," she begins, her jaw twitching. "I have to listen to you with them."
"You're the one that said we wouldn't work. I'm trying to move on," you sigh.
There's a change in her, a nerve hit, partially hidden by the darkness of the night, but you can sense the change. You see it dance in the narrow shadows of her face, the street lamp illuminating the crux of her soured expression. It's the same stance she's practised over the years, standing before a foe, sizing them up that she now models. Her pupils dilate as her gaze turns predatory, and her nostrils flare to accommodate the substantial drags of air she inhales. With a single stride forward, purpose chiselling at her grinding jaw, fingers move to your hips and hold you firm enough to leave bruises.
She pulls you into her. The bump of your hipbones clashing against each other vibrates down your legs and weakens your knees, leaving you at the mercy of Kara's hold.
"By sleeping with the whole of National City?" she seethes, her sharp remark losing more and more of its potency with each puff of exhaled air landing on your lips.
"What was I supposed to do? You made it perfectly clear you don't want to fuck me!" you yell, the pugnacious timbre of your voice unrecognisable in your ears.
Gasps bounce off the narrow walls of the alleyway, and incoherent whispers promise gossip will follow you and Supergirl for the next few weeks. You can see it now: a hot news story, the presenter dissecting a blurred image of you and Kara, berating, conspiring, and alluding to anything that will bring in more viewers.
"I never said that."
She has you off your feet in less than a second, one arm wrapped around the back of your knees and the other raised skyward. You're off the ground, soaring up and up, till the bodies below turn to ants and the city their humble colony.
"Kara," you screech, throwing your hands around her neck and holding tight. "What are you doing?"
"I think what I'm doing is pretty obvious." She's got a smug smile tugging at the corner of her lips that's both titillating and vexing.
"You're being obtuse on purpose, and it's not nearly as cute as you think."
Kara at least has the decency to look a little sheepish at that.
You know the city's landscape well enough to gauge where you're headed. Once a sanctuary, the lofty apartment greets you with its open windows and dim lighting. The TV is on. The faraway laughter of a sitcom audience grows louder the closer you get, igniting a flame to shed light upon shrouded memories once untouched by melancholy. Buttered popcorn still lives in the cracks of that grey couch, the longevity of their stay prolonged by a burning need shared between two people to laugh a little louder and forget the world around them for a little longer.
You're helpless to the flood of emotions that sweep over you the instant your feet touch solid ground. So much so that when Kara grows bold, dragging you closer by your hips and crashing her lips onto yours, you do nothing but cling to her.
She's warm like the first fire forged on winter's night and as dangerous as the spitted flames that crackle through damp logs, leaping towards any surface they might set alight. No matter how often the licks of fire eat away minuscule patches of skin, the brief bouts of pain they elicit will always win out in favour of staving off the cold.
The delve of Kara's tongue into your mouth seeks to devour you, plunging your stomach into the fiery pits of hell, and you let yourself believe, not for the first time, that the only way you'll ever feel alive is to live in heated moments like these.
The strangers you'd laid with took and took, using your body in much the same way you used theirs, imagining you were someone else, or happily viewing you as no one at all, just a body bred for pleasure. These dalliances may have been brief and fleeting, but they were safe. By morning, it wouldn't matter if expectations weren't met; there would be no discourse about seeing one another again. The sex was transactional. It was a dynamic you'd never have and would never want to have with Kara. What you feel for her runs deeper than one-night stands and self-destructive choices.
"Stop." You step away from the blonde, unaware of how close you are to the edge of the windowsill, until it's too late and the sharp corner of brick bites at the back of your ankles, knocking you off balance.
You want to fall, feel the wind against your back as you wait for the inevitable end. Kara doesn't let that happen. She doesn't even allow you the grace to right yourself before her hands are back on you, this time at your waist, whooshing you away from the cool breeze of the open widow.
"Are you okay?" she asks, holding tighter than strictly necessary, eyes frantically searching for any signs of distress.
"I'm fine." There's an urge to have her closer again, to feel her pressed firmly against your front, trace the seam of her lips with your tongue and discover how pliant the Kryptonian would become under your touch.
"Tell me you don't want this," she whispers, lowering her gaze from your eyes to your lips.
"I-"
"Tell me you don't want me, and I'll take you home. Pretend that none of this ever happened."
You want so badly to do that, to rein in your desires and do the sensible thing that would save you from bludgeoned heartbreak.
"You know I can't."
A beat passes, charged, and laden before the both of you pounce. Kara drags you forward, melding her mouth to yours, encouraged by your hands at the back of her neck.
"I've missed you," she mutters between kisses, holstering your legs up around her hips.
It's a puzzle how she manages to continue winding you up into a mess, nibbling and suckling at your neck whilst simultaneously navigating her way through the apartment, all the way to her bedroom. On her unwrinkled sheets, she sets you down, prying herself away long enough to rid you of your clothing. There's a flicker of something dark in her eyes as she casts her eyes up and down your naked body, stopping at the places you know your previous lovers had marked.
Cords strain in her throat, and you know she's fighting to keep sane at the sight of her property being tarnished with ugly bruises and clumsy scratches. You yank her forward, digging your fingers into the space between her gold belt and the blue fabric of her suit, aimlessly trying not to think about how vulnerable you are sitting stark naked whilst she presides over you, judging you for your poor decisions. Pleading silently for clemency, to be absolved of a crime you never knowingly committed, you stare up at Kara. You urge her to see the fidelity in your heart that will always gleam brightly in your eyes the second she comes into view. Her features remain stoic.
"You knew, didn't you?"
"I don't-" She cuts you off, ripping your hands away, flipping on your stomach and pinning you down to the bed.
"You knew that I would be able to hear you. That I would be listening to the sounds of you getting fucked over and over again." The harsh bite of her palm rings in the gelatinous flesh of your ass.
A perverse pang of pleasure shoots straight to your core, tearing a muffled moan out from your throat.
"You like that, don't you?" Kara questions, her self-satisfied lilt a clear sign she's already aware of the answer. "You want me to punish you, don't you?"
"Yes," you weakly admit, burying your shame in the sheets below.
"Don't move."
A gust of chilling air is all that's left of Kara. You can feel her moving around the room in bursts of movement, hear the drop of her clothes, and the opening and closing of drawers. A niggling need coaxes over your limbs, tempting them to wriggle and writhe with each new sound that piques your interest. You're getting wetter by the second, imagining all the ways you'll finally find your release with the only person you've ever wanted it with, the imagery enticing enough to send your want into overdrive and your hips angling forward, seeking any friction you can get against your aching clit.
"Don't even think about it." The blonde tuts, her presence welcome as she settles behind you. A hand clasps around each ankle, and Kara drags you back with little care for the hiss you make as cotton brushes against your sensitive nipples. "Get on your hands and knees."
You follow her orders, waiting for her touch that never comes. Instead, Kara crouches down, keeping a hair's width away from where you need her most and blows lightly over your sex. You shiver, trying your hardest not to flinch as her breath cools your warm slick.
"You're dripping," she comments lowly, teasing a single finger through your slit.
It's impossible not to lean back into the much-needed touch and command more with the insistent rise and fall of your hips. But Kara's prepared. She withdraws, maintaining her proximity to you. Another puff of air bristles against your cunt, this time colder.
"Kara, please," you beg, shaking with ardent need.
There's no warning to her tongue delving into your pussy, no preemptive to her harsh approach and fast licks. Left to your own devices, your arms give out. You're left crying into a pillow and gripping onto sheets as Kara runs a muck of your mind and body. The pressure's teetering on the brink of being too harsh, and no matter how much you try to pull away–ease the sting of her pointed tongue against your clit–Kara holds you open, gripping onto your thighs like a vice.
Your moans carry. They vault through the bedroom and ring between the obscene wet sounds coming from between your legs. There's barely time to release another before lips surround your bundle of nerves and drag the abused bud into a waiting mouth. It's painful and perfect all at once. There's no break from the pleasure. It's all-encompassing, surrounding you like morning fog seeping into the pores of your skin, covering every inch of your bare body in a blanket of sheen sweat.
A scream tears from your throat when Kara plunges two fingers inside you, and you use the last dregs of sanity within you to bite down on your arm. She's picking up speed faster than you can adjust. The brief milliseconds between every jagged thrust dwindle until all you feel is a constant vibration, a never-ending hum expanding over the entire length of your sopping cunt.
The coil in your stomach is wound so tight you can feel your muscles contract, and the pressure grows rigid like a metal rod along your spine. With one sharp slap to your ass, you break. Moans are pouring out of you, and your pulse is racing, but where you expect relief to flow, you only find more tension. It doesn't stop. The roaring waves of pleasure keep growing and growing and growing till you're screaming and shaking and begging for reprieve.
"One more," Kara pants, replacing her mouth with a thumb. "Give me one more baby."
How anything can hurt so much yet, yield such strong undercurrents of insurmountable bliss is mind-boggling. You're in limbo, stuck on the edge of euphoria and torment. It's a fine line that Kara forces you to walk, but with no other option, you absorb yourself into the pleasure and leave behind the bite of overstimulation.
You know you can, that you'd cum however many times she wanted. You've been riding the aftershocks of your orgasm for no less than a minute, and already you recognise the signs of your impending release. It happens fast, but what it lacks in duration, it makes up for in magnitude. Every part of you quakes, from your wobbly lip to your unsteady knees, that collapse beneath you. Thankfully, the sturdy mattress catches you, greeting you with its cool exterior–a welcome change from the heat emanating off your body.
Floorboards creek behind you, dulled by the non-stop thud of blood pumping through your ears. You want to tell Kara that she needs to stop. You need a break. The command dies on your tongue, melted into a contented sigh by the warm lips pressing along your spine and the puffs of cool air following each peck.
"Tell me when you're ready," she croons hot and heavy into your ear, sending another chill down your spine as she continues her mission of being your personal air-con.
"I don't know if I can," you reply, turning to face her, but the action is cut short when you feel the end of her prodding at your entrance. The only thing left for you to do is whimper.
Kara doesn't push any further. The tip of her faux cock leisurely slides between your slit, swinging up and down. Warmth circulates low in your stomach, and small jolts of gratification swing like a pendulum against the walls of the enclosed area. Her hands clasp around your waist, and you brace yourself for impact, expecting Kara to sink into you. The chime of your rough breathing fills the silent space. Nothing happens for a few seconds, then Kara firms her grip and guides you onto your back. You let her, unopposed to finally seeing her golden locks, shimmering eyes and bright smile.
She's hovering, holding herself on sturdy arms and waiting for the go-ahead. Even now, with desperation etched into her features, looking almost pained at having to wait, Kara still puts you first. Your wants, needs, and desires all outrank reason and logic. It doesn't matter that all she's known the past few years is heroism and gallantry–that she yearns to separate herself from all of it–she'll be Supergirl for a few seconds, applying that restraint she's had to use since the day she landed on earth. She'll hold herself back for you.
Looking into her crazed eyes, you nod. She's held back long enough for you, her family, and the world.
"I'm ready." You place your hands on her lower back, pulling Kara forward till she's fully seated inside of you, stretching you so wide it almost burns. "Fuck me like I'm yours."
The world fades away as you watch Kara's eyes harden, two piercing sapphires eclipsed by blackened lust and an impassioned demand to possess. Immediately, she begins pummeling into you at a brutal pace.
"I heard what you called them," Kara grits out, her eyes red, her hips stilling the moment her cock roots itself as far into you as it can get. "What you cried out when you imagined they were me."
"Don't stop," you plead between guttural breaths, scratching at her impenetrable skin.
"I want you to say it. I want you to tell me how you're going to cum on daddy's dick."
This is all so unlike Kara, and that very thought–that this version of her is all yours and only yours, that you get to see her feral and unencumbered by the scruples of morality and duty–has you beyond desperate.
"Yes." You hiss at the blunt edge of Kara's hip, knocking against you as she forces herself impossibly deeper. "I'm going to cum all over your cock, daddy."
Your complacency draws rewards. Kara is back to pounding into you.
There's something new occurring within you, a sudden pressure forcing Kara out. You can't understand it, not between the shudders running rampant through your body, so strong they feel more like convulsions. Her thumb is steady and swift over your clit, circling the swollen nub till everything becomes too much, and all you see are blazing white lights scattering and interspersing themselves across your vision.
You can feel your cum rush out of you, spraying onto Kara's cock the moment she leaves you. With every added second, her thumb stays working over your clit, and the push to release everything in you is flooding through the bedsheets, soaking the material through to the mattress. The white lights fade, and Kara's face emerges for only a brief moment before all you see is black.
—
"Kara?"
"Mmh."
"I won't wait forever for you to be ready," you say quietly, fingers skimming through the valley of her breasts. "I can't."
"I know," she sighs, burrowing her nose into your hair and inhaling. She closes her eyes, and you feel her puckered lips on your scalp. "I know."

✐ Only Human | Kara Danvers ✎

Pairing: Kara Danvers x reader
Warnings: minor injuries, mentions of blood
Summary: Proposing to Kara doesn’t go quite as planned because in all her excitement she forgets you’re only human. . .
________________________________________________
Midvale is a beautiful town. The pine trees along the road are a luscious green and the few lakes I’ve spotted here and there on my drive glitter invitingly in the late summer sun.
I turn down another empty road and take a deep breath of the salty ocean air. I have the window rolled down and the radio turned up, smiling from ear to ear at the prospect of seeing Kara and her family again.
We’re taking some time off from work and superhero-ing and decided staying at Eliza’s would be the best way to relax and reconnect with each other and the rest of the Danvers family.
Things have been busy lately, especially at my job because I’m up for a promotion, which is also why I didn’t drive here with Alex and Kelly two days ago.
Kara flew, getting Alex and Kelly to take her bags with them.
I continue driving a couple more minutes, humming to the song on the radio until Eliza’s familiar beach house comes into view.
The sun has just gone down which leaves a faint orange hue across the sky and I smile when I see the lights turned on inside the house.
I pull into the driveway, turn off the car and roll up the windows before getting out and rounding the car to get my bag from the trunk.
“You made it!”
Alex’s voice makes me look up and I smile instantly when my eyes land on her standing in the open doorway with a glass of wine in her hand.
“Alex!” I beam and jog up the stairs to the door to pull her into a tight hug. “I missed you.”
Alex squeezes me with one arm and holds her wineglass away from our bodies with the other, pulling back with a smile of her own. “I missed you, too. Did you get everything you need?”
I nod and hold up my bag for reference, feeling nerves bubble up in the pit of my stomach at the thought of the small velvet box stuffed between my shirts.
You see, being stuck at work wasn’t the only reason I didn’t take Alex and Kelly up on their offer of carpooling. My jeweler called me the day before we were supposed to leave and told me there had been some delay on the ring I commissioned.
So, I had no other choice but to postpone my departure and because Alex didn’t buy my half-lie of being stuck at work a little while longer I came clean and told her all about my plans of proposing.
She was ecstatic, going on a rant about how my idea of doing it on the beach was perfect and how happy she was for Kara for having someone like me.
“Perfect. Now, come on in. We finished dinner a while ago, but there’s still some leftovers in the kitchen.” She offers to take my bag up to Kara’s childhood bedroom and I accept with an embarrassed smile when my stomach grumbles loudly.
“Y/N!”
Kelly is the first to notice me when I step into the living room. She just came in from the porch outside where Eliza and Kara are sitting on cushioned Adirondack chairs wrapped in throw blankets.
“Hi. It’s good to see you again,” I say with a smile, accepting the gentle hug she pulls me into. “How have you been? How’s work?”
“I’ve been great. Work is. . . Well, it’s work, what can I say?” she laughs before adding, “But I do love my job, so there’s really not that much I can complain about. How are you? I heard you’re up for a promotion.”
“I’m good, and yeah I am up for a promotion, but my boss said—“
A shriek makes my head whip around and I only see a flash of blonde hair before my favorite person launches herself into my arms, sending me stumbling backward. “My baby!”
I laugh breathlessly and grab the kitchen counter to regain my balance. “Jesus. . .”
The blonde wraps her legs around my waist and peppers my face with kisses. “Not Jesus, just Kara.”
I smile incredulously and glance at Kelly for some kind of explanation as to why Kara’s acting like this, but the older woman just shrugs and watches the scene unfold in front of her with a fond look in her eyes.
“What on Earth has gotten into you, my love?” I chuckle and squeeze the back of Kara’s thighs to get her to look at me.
Her blue eyes shine with love and I’m almost convinced she’s simply happy to see me but then she kisses me and I’m met with the taste of alien liquor on her lips. “N’thing,” she slurs with a dopey grin. “‘M jus’ happy to see you.”
“Mhmm, I can tell,” I tease which makes her frown comically.
“Hey, don’t be mean.” She pouts, but I’m quick to kiss it away with a couple of pecks.
“There. Better?” I ask and she nods, draping her arms loosely around my shoulders before unwrapping her legs from around my waist. I let her slide down my body and tuck her hair behind her ears.
“Much, thank you.” She leans into my touch and closes her eyes briefly before looking up at me with an adoring, yet slightly drunk look on her face.
It makes my insides melt and I can’t help but dip my head down to press another kiss to her lips, savoring the way my lips tingle at the contact before whispering, “Hello, darling. How are you?”
Kara tightens her arms around my shoulders and hides her face against the side of my neck. “Perfect now that you’re her.”
She sounds surprisingly sober which means that the effects of the alien liquor must already be wearing off. It gets her drunk pretty quickly but because of her fast metabolism it also gets absorbed easily, making the high intense but short-lived.
I kiss the top of her head, another smile growing on my face when I catch Eliza’s eyes outside. She smiles and waves at me, mouthing a “hi!”, just as my stomach growls again.
“Have you had something to eat yet?” Kara pulls back to look at me.
I shake my head. “Not yet, but Alex said something about leftovers?”
Kara goes to answer but Kelly beats her to it. “Why don’t you head outside and I’ll get you some? I was heading to the kitchen anyway to grab a glass of water.”
“Oh that’s nice, but I can—“
“Thanks, Kelly!” Kara interrupts cheerfully and tugs on my hand to lead me onto the porch.
I chuckle and look over my shoulder to thank Kelly before greeting Eliza properly.
She hugs me, asking about the drive here before Kara tugs on my hand again, pulling me onto the chair she occupied earlier and plopping down on my lap.
The view of the ocean is spectacular as the last hues of orange disappear to make way for the starry night sky.
I get lost in the sight for a moment, enjoying the feeling of Kara snuggled up against me as she chats with Eliza until Kelly returns with a steaming bowl of food and a glass of water.
She hands me the bowl and puts the glass down on the small table in the middle of the chairs and returns to her own seat.
Kara shifts so I can eat with her still in my arms and continues talking to her mom and Kelly.
Alex joins us a second later, taking a seat on the chair next to her wife’s and chimes in on the current conversation which I’m not particularly paying attention to.
I’m tired from driving and simply focus on the kryptonian warmth Kara is emitting and eating Eliza’s delicious chilly until the bowl is empty and my eyelids are drooping.
“You tired?” Kara whispers when I try to stifle a yawn. She sounds and looks completely sober now, playing with the collar of my shirt absentmindedly.
“Yeah, and I’d really like to shower before bed,” I admit quietly so as to not interrupt the story Alex is currently telling of her time in med school.
“Okay then,” she says getting to her feet slowly and pulling me up with her.
Eliza’s eyes dart in our direction at the movement and when she sees the exhaustion on my face she smiles sympathetically.
“. . . And then that lady just vomited all over me. I honestly thought I was going to throw up right on top of her, too, but I managed to run out before that happened,” Alex finished her story and all of us gag at the thought of being thrown up on ourselves.
“You guys going to bed?” Eliza asks once everyone has calmed down again.
I nod, feeling Kara playing with my fingers. “Yeah. It’s been a long day. Thank you for dinner. It was delicious, as always.”
Elize smiles bashfully. “Thank you, dear. Good night.”
“G’night.” I nod at Alex and Kelly and go to take my bowl inside, but Eliza tells me to just leave it.
Then, it’s just me and Kara, making out way inside and up to her childhood bedroom.
She used to share a room with Alex, but when Jeremiah passed, they turned his study into a bedroom for her.
“How was your day, darling?” I ask once we get to the room.
Kara closes the door behind us and jumps on the bed, having already changed into her pajamas before I got here.
“Quiet,” she says, taking off her glasses.
I hum in understanding and go to my bag to grab a change of clothes and my toothbrush. The city is loud, even for a human like me, so I know what she means when she says it’s quiet up here in Midvale. Yes, she can still hear heartbeats a mile away, but the constant buzz of the city is missing and I can only imagine what a relief it must be to get away from all of it for a while.
“How was the drive?” she asks. She gets under the covers and pulls the comforter up to her chest.
“There was some traffic, but it wasn’t too bad. I’m just glad I’m here now.” I smile tiredly and take a seat on the edge of the mattress next to her.
“I’m glad you’re here, too. What do you want to do tomorrow?” she asks, tracing the shape of my brow with a finger before dropping her hand in her lap again.
“Go to the beach, maybe? And then have some dinner at Mike’s,” I suggest. I know I want to propose, I just don’t know when yet, so I’ll just see how everything goes and then do it whenever it feels right.
“Sounds good.” Kara leans forward to peck my cheek and shoos me away. “Now go shower so we can cuddle.”
I chuckle and squeeze her leg over the comforter. Then I grab my clothes and head to the bathroom down the hall.
I shower, wash my face and brush my teeth before heading back to the bedroom with a yawn.
I expect Kara to be in bed where I left her, but when I enter the room she’s crouched on the floor next to the bed with her back turned to me.
“What are you doing?” I ask with a confused smile, turning to put my dirty clothes in the hamper behind the door.
Kara doesn’t say anything which makes me frown and turn back around to see her now facing me with tears in her eyes.
“What’s wrong?!” I rush across the room and kneel in front of her. I lift my hands, wanting to cup her cheeks but then her eyes drop to her lap and I follow her gaze with my own.
Oh shit. . .
Clutched between her fingers is an all too familiar, small, black box.
We both look back up at the same time and when our teary eyes meet I can’t help but smile sheepishly.
“Surprise?” I whisper. My heart is pounding in my chest and I feel like throwing up when Kara stays silent.
Her eyes dart between mine and for a second, when a tear runs down her cheek, I think even just the thought of proposing to her was ridiculous because she obviously doesn’t want to be with me like that.
But then she finally speaks, her voice shaky and quiet.“Ask me.”
My eyebrows dart up knowing surprise and I swallow thickly. “Are you sure?”
She nods as another tear runs down her cheek, but this time she smiles softly and pushes the box into my hands.
“O-Okay.” I get to my feet and pull her with me, only to drop back down on one knee in front of her. “Kara. . . I— This isn’t how I thought this was going to go, but here we are I guess. . .”
Kara smiles, teary eyed, and wipes at her cheeks. Her blue eyes are trained on me and her hands twitch as I speak, showing how much effort it takes for her not to reach out and touch me.
“I love you, Kara,” I start, my voice shaking with emotion. “I’ve loved you ever since you spilled your coffee all over me at Noonan’s and I love you now, standing here in your pajamas. You are beautiful and smart and the size of your heart leaves me utterly and completely speechless sometimes. The last five years have shown me what it is like to love someone, and be loved by someone wholeheartedly and I can’t imagine not spending the rest of my life with you.
“You once told me that being with you was dangerous because you’re Supergirl, but since I’ve known you I’ve never felt safer. You always have my back and I hope when you’re with me you feel even just a fraction of the sense of security you make me feel.” I take a deep breath and open the box carefully to reveal the sparkling ring inside. It’s a simple gold band with a princess-cut diamond sitting on top of it.
Kara’s eyes widen at the sight—even though she knew it was coming—and lifts one of her hands to cover her mouth in shock.
“So. . . Will you marry me, Kara Zor-El?” I whisper.
“Yes.” The reply is immediate and within a second she surges forward to kiss me. The impact of her lips on mine is so forceful, it makes me topple over with a groan and sends a stinging pain through my face.
“Shit.” I cringe and break the kiss immediately, bringing my hand up to my nose only to pull it back and see that it’s now covered in blood.
“Rao, I’m sorry.” Kara’s scrambles to get off me and helps me sit up before inspecting my nose. “Shit, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
A new wave of tears makes its way down her cheeks, but they’re no longer tears of joy. Regret and guilt is written all over her face and when I wince, scrunching my nose, she backs up even more so she’s no longer touching me.
“Hey, no. It’s okay.” I wince again, but try to focus on Kara instead of the pain. I crawl forward and touch her chin with my clean hand, the open ring box on the floor next to us. “It’s not like this is the first time this has happened,” I try to joke, but it falls flat.
“Y/N, I—“
“No.” I push a finger to her lips. “I know you didn’t mean to hurt me, and I’m already feeling better, see? It’s not even bleeding anymore.”
Kara looks up with red-rimmed eyes, the guilt still evident on her face. “But—“
“No buts, baby,” I say with a smile. I grab the box off the floor and take the ring out before holding it up to Kara’s face. “Do you still want to marry me?”
She nods and wipes at her eyes again. “Of course.”
“Good.” I take her hand and, after waiting for another nod, slip the ring onto her finger. “Then that’s all that matters right now.”
Kara stares at the ring and I watch in awe as the heartbreak slowly melts off her face. It’s replaced by adoration and love and when she catches me staring at her, her lips twitch into a tentative smile.
“I love you,” she whispers, lifting a hand to brush her fingers against my cheek. “And I can’t wait to marry you.”
“I love you, too, and I will do everything in my power to give you the wedding you deserve.” I lean into her touch and grab her other hand, kissing the ring on her finger.
Shaking her head, Kara gently rests her forehead against my own. “I don’t need anything fancy. I just want you there.” I smile and tilt my head, wanting to close the distance between us, but a hand on my chest stops me. “Let’s get your face cleaned first.”
I huff playfully but agree, letting her help me to my feet before she pulls me to the bathroom.
I take a seat on the edge of the tub as Kara wets a towel.
“Tell me if I hurt you,” she says and I nod, closing my eyes as she gets to work cleaning the blood off my face. “Well, your nose is not broken, but it will probably bruise.”
“It’s okay. Like I said, it’s not our first rodeo.” This time, Kara cracks a smile and when I pull her to stand in between my legs, she drops the bloodied towel and leans down to capture my lips in a sweet kiss.
Her hands land on the side of my face, making me shiver when I feel the ring against my cheek.
“Let’s go to bed,” she says when we break apart. At the mention of going to sleep, I yawn which makes her giggle.
I change out of my bloodied top and go to throw on a clean shirt, only to freeze when I remember that the ring was at the bottom of my bag and I have yet to ask why Kara was going through it in the first place.
“Hey, can I ask you something?” I zip my bag and put on the shirt before joining Kara in the bed.
“Sure.” She snuggles up to me and places her hand on my chest, admiring the ring in the dim light of the bedside lamp.
“Why were you going through my bag?” I ask gently, not wanting to sound accusing.
Blushing furiously, Kara hides her face in the crook of my neck. “I wanted to steal one of your hoodies.”
I laugh and pull her closer. “Of course you did.“
Kara chuckles too and once our laughter has died down, she rolls over to turn off the light before returning to my side.
“I love you,” she whispers against my collarbone. “And I can’t wait to tell everyone that we’re going to get married.”
“I love you, too. . . Fiancée.” I run my hand up and down her back and shiver when the action earns me a kiss against my throat.
“Mhmm, Fiancée.” Kara exhales loudly and snuggles even closer before going still. “I like the sound of that.”
“Me too,” I admit and before long I fall asleep with a smile on my face.

Imagine a conversation with your comfort character(C.C.):
Y/N: "I can't, I can't do it anymore, I give up, I'm done"
C.C.: "You're done? Are you out of your mind?! Look how far we've come! Look at everything falling into place. You're done?"
Y/N: "You don't understand-"
C.C.: "-No, you don't understand! You don't understand what you're made of, stop looking at the scars you've obtained and listen to the still beating heart inside you, you're done, you’ve only just begun"
Y/N: "I'm tired-"
C.C.: "-Then you will rest-"
Y/N(crying): "-It hurts!-"
C.C.: "-Then you will heal! You're the only one that can stand in your way and I won't let you. Now rest, eat, cry, break something! Whatever you gotta do to pull yourself together! I'll wait, you come find me when you're ready... come find me when you're ready to go"
Y/N: "... Okay"
