Baby Taylor's baby voice is so endearing and it's going to be bittersweet to "lose" that on the TVs, but I'm really excited to hear how they clean up (or not) the production on Debut. I mean I know they're going to make it as accurate as possible to the originals, but I mean in the actual sound mixing and stuff. Because I feel like this album could benefit the most from some of that! Which is not to say that the original is bad BECAUSE IT'S NOT, but I think there is subtle stuff they can do with the mixing/blending/instrumentals/treble/etc. to make it shine even more.

My very first karaoke machine and where I recorded me singing on cassette tapes. This brings back so many memories. 🥹

THE ASK BOX
IS NOW CLOSED
Now comes...
That... that's a lot of Asks.
I am humbled and grateful and stunned that some of you would choose your one last chance to Ask some questions that made me sigh or go "????" or "uhhhhhhhh" and I'm afraid I won't have satisfying answers for them all, but I shall do my best.
But also, that is A LOT of Asks.
I thank you all in advance for your patience! I decided to take them now because I've already gotten a lot of paperwork done and there's now going to be waiting periods between the other stuff I can do (oh, but I guess I can start packing?). It's also because, as alluded to before, I am very fortunate to have a nerdy new job lined up which will take more of my nerdy energy, and I want to leave my fangirl tendencies free to keep enjoying my object of fandom.
At some point this went from a simple fangirl blog to a meta blog, and then inevitably to a cultural background and analysis blog because I can't help that my background is in Japanese studies and Kimetsu no Yaiba speaks to a lot of my interests. Besides a certain global event's effect which started shortly after, I was already in a state of career letdown when I discovered KnY, and this became the outlet for my nerdiness which I couldn't find in real life. Both my object of fandom and the act of answering Asks were major sources of happy hormones for me while stuff in real life just wasn't working out as hoped. With all the upcoming changes, I'm hoping to have more sources of happy hormones ahead. It takes some adjusting of my mindset too, and I'm hoping to go into this all with the spirit of Kamado Tanjiro for inspiration.
I'll still be blogging as long as KnY keeps my interest. But there's still so much more out there to explore, and more pursuits to demand my obsessive tendencies and creativity! That said, thank you all again for finding interest in this blog and for sending all those Asks (even the weird ones). There's a whole bunch of these that also made me squeal or laugh or say "ooooh" or immediately jot down ideas or clutch my hand to my heart and quietly scream, and this will all be fun while I go through the inevitable stresses of more upcoming paperwork! And the kind words really got to me too. Thank you. <3

I’m an idiot and forgot some very crucial links for Hatchetfield Action News so
Everything is on THAT link. Here are some things I forgot to mention yesterday:
1. Action news serves as an introductory point to Hatchetfield for a newer audience so that they can understand Hatchetfield without having to go out and investigate it further
2. I had 20 minutes to make these episodes. If I could’ve talked more, I would’ve.
3. Again!!! My deadname is on this podcast for safety reasons as the world does not know me as Jay. Do not associate vesperione with my deadname
4. You have until next Wednesday to fill out the Google form, but the podcast will be available forever.
5. You don’t have to listen to every episode!
6. The back page of the survey is about me and my presenting style. Plz be nice abt it, it’s literally my second time doing radio 🫶🫶🫶 I had no idea what I was doing
Back to summaries:
Episode one: TGWDLM: talking about tumblrs fave white boy Paul matthews and the shenanigans he experiences. We talk henry Hidgens in an interview with my friend abt workin boys and we talk the link between a real life pandemic compared with a fictional one
Episode Two: Black Friday: we talk Wilbur cross, wiggly and John McNamara. We talk lex and Hannah foster and we talk ✨politics✨ with an interview with @the-spaced-out-ace 😎
Episode Three: NPMD (spoiler free summary): we talk about how much this show fucked me up, ouija boards, spirits and sex. 👍 (if you’ve seen NPMD you know) ANYWAY
Link is there and I hope u enjoy. Ur my audience and ur feedback is so very helpful to me 🫶🫶

[PODFIC] I’m dancing in the mirror and singing in the shower by queenlevana
Summary: If Alex just dissociates hard enough, he can pretend it’s some wayward child making noise and not an adult who doesn’t understand their own tone deafness. Or he could just be less petty and rude, but after such a rough day he’s accepted that won’t happen. - Or, the one where Alex’s shower neighbor is the most insufferable singer ever.

“ ah! agent hill, i was hoping it might be you. come in, my dear, it’s much too cold to be lingering outside! let me take your coat, hm? “ yes. his usual efforts of politely restrained grumpiness have been set aside for the coming weeks. something about the scent of cinnamon and sweet apples baking in the hearth is enough to repel that. add in the addition of some heartily welcomed friends, a dash of the good whiskey that aisling brings back from ireland every october, and the sound of a good jazz record playing in the background... well. what could be better? other than maria’s arrival, that is; one step closer to actually eating the lavish feast that henri is screaming about in the kitchen... “ i hope you’re hungry; we’ve got enough to feed the whole city at this rate, and tim’s only just gone in to bake the bread rolls! you know where everything is, don’t you? help yourself, make yourself at home, dear, won’t you? “
@knowseverythingaboutyou liked THIS POST for a family holiday dinner starter! ( and i’m gonna leave the locations of all the other muses in the tags so maria can mingle! )
