Type: multi-chapter; matt murdock x sister!reader, some foggy and karen x teen!reader (platonic!)

Warnings: Matt unintentionally being a jerk brother, sibling argument, some angst, hurt no comfort (yet)

Notes: hey look, another fic that was meant to be a one-shot that turned into 4+ chapters. Oops

Word count: 1506

Y/n Murdock had a decent life. She would admit that. She was in a good school, she had good friends, and she had family through Nelson & Murdock. Her brother, Matt, always did his best to look after her. She never knew her father but she had Matt next to her as they both grew up at the orphanage. And as soon as he was legally able, Matt took custody of her, knowing she wouldn’t be happy without him. Granted, going through college with an 8 year old wasn’t entirely smart. Or easy. But he did it. 

So Y/n was thankful for these things.

That began to slowly change, however, when the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen was born. Y/n and Matt knew each other better than they knew themselves so it didn’t take Y/n long to figure out his ‘secret.’ Needless to say she wasn’t happy about it. But she learned to live with it. There were still times, though, where it got hard. Y/n felt like her brother was spending more and more time away from her and she was beginning to miss how things used to be. 

After doing some tracking down, Y/n found Claire and the two formed a bond over the stresses of knowing her brother and his secret life. She lately found herself at the hospital during Claire’s breaks or her apartment after shifts unwinding with her and venting about Matthew’s absence. Like today. 

“I mean, I get that what he does is important, and I’m proud of him - I really am. But…”

“But you miss him,” Claire finished, tone understanding. She pursed her lips as the girl nodded sadly, looking down at her mug of hot chocolate. “It’s ok to think that way, Y/n. Your feelings are valid. Why don’t you talk to him about it?”

Y/n shook her head. “He has enough going on. He has his p-“ she stopped herself. While Claire knew about the vigilante side of her brother, she didn't know his true identity. And as Matt told her several times - the less she knew about him the better. “He has his day job that’s gotten busier, he has his vigilante thing that’s also gotten busier. I don’t want to waste his time.”

Claire frowned and furrowed her brow. “But he’s your brother. And your legal guardian. If he makes time for anything, Y/n, it should be you.”

Y/n sighed. “I know,” she said meekly. “And I do have this mindset that I should be his priority…”

“But?”

“But I still can’t get myself to bother him.”

Sensing it was a lost cause, Claire just pursed her lips and rubbed Y/n’s shoulder. All she could do was encourage her to talk to Matt (or, ‘Mike’ in Claire’s case) and be there for her if and when she needed to talk. 

A couple weeks later, Y/n was at her breaking point. She had barely seen her brother for days it seemed. She couldn’t get herself to approach him and be upfront about the issue; but she had an idea to get his attention. Leave it to a teenager to make things more difficult than they needed to be. 

Y/n smirked to herself as she walked up to Nelson & Murdock, tossing a bouncy ball off the ground. She had been trying to get Matt’s attention the whole week with no luck. But she was sure this would get him.

“Uh oh, I know that look,” Foggy’s voice came as Y/n walked through the doorway. “You better not be spiking my food again, gremlin.”

“Ok, first of all, don’t say ‘spiking!’ I didn’t drug you!” Y/n defended herself. 

“You may as well have,” Foggy muttered. 

Y/n rolled her eyes. “It was just hot sauce, you wimp. And, no - I’m not here to mess with you.”

“But you’re here to mess with someone else,” he accused, pointing a finger at her. 

“Shut up!” She whisper-yelled. 

“Matt’s not here, relax…is that who you’re messing with?!” 

“Foggy!”

“Ok ok whatever. I’m leaving soon anyway.”

“Don’t give me away. Matt knows things, ok?”

Foggy rolled his eyes and messed up her hair as he walked past her, making her swat his hand away. 

Y/n kept bouncing her rubber ball as she entered her brother’s office. She brought her backpack over her shoulder to pull out a whoopie cushion. She moved the seat cover on Matt’s chair and placed the partly filled cushion underneath before replacing the cloth. She walked back out to the ‘lobby’ of the firm and sat on Karen’s desk, smirk on her face. The unpaid secretary looked at her with a knowing look. 

“I have a feeling we’ll know when it happens?”

Y/n nodded proudly. 

About 30 minutes later, Y/n could hear Matt’s walking stick tapping in the hallway. She stayed on Karen’s desk, still bouncing the rubber ball off the ground as her brother came in. 

“Welcome back,” Karen greeted nonchalantly. 

“Thank you,” he nodded plainly. “Y/n,” he addressed his sister. “How come you’re not at the apartment?”

“It’s my usual day to see Foggy and Karen,” she commented, a little deflated. That part she kept true - she did visit the firm every friday. Was Matt really that out of the loop that he forgot her routine?

“Ok. Well, I have a couple things to finish up at my desk then we’ll walk back together, ok?”

“Alright,” she shrugged dejectedly. 

Rubber. Constant bouncing off the ground. Normal heart rate. Matt quirked a brow but made his way to his office.

As part of her plan, it distracted him enough to ignore his seat; the smell of the rubber also made it so the rubber from the whoopie cushion was also overlooked by the vigilante. 

Y/n’s face split into a grin as she saw her brother’s shadow bend down towards the chair. Her hand flew to her mouth so she didn’t laugh prematurely as her brother sat and a loud fart sound rang through the office. Foggy and Karen both let out sudden laughs and Y/n let her own laugh loose, a rare snort coming out as well. 

Matt sat in shock for a moment before staring towards his door, jaw dropped. Ears burning, he called out, “Y/n…” warning in his tone. 

Foggy and Karen looked at said girl, amused looks on their faces. She mirrored their looks and hopped off Karen’s desk and popped her head into Matt’s doorway. 

“Yes, dear brother?” she said innocently. 

“Shut the door,” he said, a little too seriously for Y/n’s liking. 

She gave a nervous glance at the other two, who shared her expression, before steeling her face and stepped into Matt’s office, closing the door behind her. 

“Feeling gassy today, Matty?” she joked. 

“Y/n, it’s not funny,” he said, looking her way. 

“Oh, come on, Matt-“

“Y/n, just stop. You’ve been pulling these immature pranks all week and it has to stop. And to bring it to the office? What if a client had walked in?”

Y/n rolled her eyes. “Yeah, ‘cause you get a lot of those, do you?”

“That’s not the point! You know how hard Fog and I have been working to try and get this place off the ground! I can’t have a teenager running amok and pulling this stuff because the last thing I need is for someone to walk in and for their first impression to be that we don’t take things seriously! Is it too much to ask for you to act your age for once?!”

Y/n’s jaw dropped about halfway through Matt’s rant, tears collecting on her waterlines. Matt never snapped at her before. She was just trying to get him to lighten up. Not turn him against her. 

She set her jaw and hardened her gaze. She went from shock, to sadness, to anger. “You know what, Matt? No. It’s not too much to ask. Because I forgot that this whole world revolves around you, how foolish of me to forget! God forbid you have to think about anyone but yourself for once! It’s not like you have an underage sister who still depends on you metaphorically and legally or anything.”

Salt in the air. Almost non-existent sniffles. Watery voice. She was crying.

“...Y/n-”

“Forget it, Matt,” she said, voice cracking. “I’ll see you later. Don’t let your big ego get caught in the doorway when you leave.” At that, Y/n spun on her heel and stormed out, tears streaking down her face.

“Y/n. Y/n!” Matt tried calling in vain. “It’s dark! You don’t walk back alone!”

“I got her,” Foggy said. He turned to leave but twisted to look at Matt one more time. “And you know something? Everyone’s entitled to act stupid every once and awhile, but I think you just abused that privilege.”

As Foggy ran out to catch up to Y/n, Matt hung his head in shame.

I give you a Batman AU timeline wherein Selina Kyle is the richest person in Gotham City and its first vigilante, protecting it with her expanded, somewhat rearranged Catfamily. Bruce Wayne is a master thief and self-made socialite.

But this is not a basic one-to-one swap! I have tried very hard to do every character justice while adapting the parts of comics canon I accept (basically the post-Crisis/pre-Flashpoint universe plus Duke), which is why it’s ridiculously detailed. There are 60 PAGES.

Featuring:

Selina and Maggie Kyle, Leslie Thompkins, Holly Robinson, Barbara Gordon, Helena Bertinelli, Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Cain and Kitrina Falcone being main characters.

Characters who age consistently, despite how little comics continuity wants to conform to the real progression time. I will make it make sense -

Characters who are allowed to be happy and romantically committed, and have meaningful development addressing their flaws and traumas in coherent narrative arcs. Their growth is not always linear, but never just undone. The Cats make healthier choices than the canon Bats make at times, like going to therapy, due to their different contexts and relationships, so there’s overall less angst and self-destructiveness. But they’re still incredibly traumatised and frequently messy about it.

Female characters who are written with respect, complex interiority and agency.

Deep, nuanced relationships, foil dynamics (familial, platonic and romantic) and vigilante philosophy.

New costume designs and codenames.

Emotional support cats for everyone with a Greek mythology naming theme inspired by Selina’s canon cat Hecate.

Maggie doing cool, important stuff as a civilian and not being fridged and stuck in a mental hospital for years.

Holly being a superhero.

Babs becoming Oracle and staying that way.

Villains dying or reforming and staying that way.

More of Holly and Karon being a lesbian couple. And Brucelina, Dickbabs, Timsteph, Timbern and Harlivy.

Harvey Dent, Two-Face and Talia al Ghul being sympathetic, three-dimensional antivillains/antiheroes with genuine love for people.

And now the "Wannabe Gator", Mstoxictea has gone completely bonkers! Of course she doesn't believe this project is real.

She's taken to harassing a casting site for simply reporting facts, with lies and slurs, while she insults and accuses Sophie, her family, SunnyMarch, Adam Ackland, Karon Maskill, and others of heinous crimes.

Taking a page from Trump's play book, she's now doling out her Haters' brand of retribution as "Cyber Avenger".

And the anon seems to think Mstoxictea is spot on about this future project being fake!

Even though there are now TWO separate sources that list it as a legitimate production!

But those are the FACTS! Haters don't care! All they care is about THEIR NARRATIVE! And in THEIR world SunnyMarch is money laundering scheme, Adam Ackland is a monster, The Thing with Feathers is FAKE, and BC is a complicit "victim".

And Gator is sitting there on the sidelines, watching the dumpster fire called Mstoxictea (who she created) flail away ranting "FAKE! FAKE! FAKE!". OK, so I guess the Haters don't know shit about the film business. UK Casting News and Production Weekly (which also listed TTWF in their September 28th bulletin - which is likely where the site Moviedelic got their info from) are casting info and data collection sites for the film industry. They aren't PR driven. They are reference tools for actors and crews seeking employment.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that producers (like Adam Ackland) might have a hand in seeing that sites like these get the information out that the film is seeking actors and crew members - that's how they get job seekers connected to the future jobs available! JFC! Do Haters think it just happens without recruiting?

Whether the Haters want to take this production "seriously" or not won't impact at all on it being made.

They think it's already a "shitty" movie because SunnyMarch and Adam Ackland is involved, but that's not reality. Their NARRATIVE is already dictating their assessment of this project even before it is made.

Another slow month thanks to a mental block and a whole slew of other projects to work on. Then my nonfic for the month was incredibly dark and depressing, which didn't help the mood.

#1 - Pax by Sara Pennypacker - 3/5 stars (audio)

This book came highly recommended to me from a student about a year ago. It's been sitting in my Audible account for much longer than that (I think I got it during a sale) and when I needed something to listen to at night, I decided to fire it up.

It wins points for consistently lulling me to sleep. Unfortunately the pacing is such that, as I was drifting in and out of consciousness, I'd hear bits and pieces that were very odd out of context.

A solid story, but not in any way remarkable to me. I was pretty bored by the end of it.

#2 - A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah - 4/5 stars ('23 TBR, audio)

This book has sat on my shelf for several years while I worked up the gumption to get to it. I honestly couldn't tell you where it came from or why I chose to read it. Then I stumbled across the audio on Hoopla. Audio makes some things easier. Not this book, especially given it was read by the author.

A heavy book, vividly told. This one comes with lots of content warnings, which should be pretty obvious. I had to sandwich this between lighter, happier fiction for my own sake.

A lot like Infidel, if you want a heavy and often depressing biography. (This isn't anything against either book, but they are both rightly depressing, so take that as your warning.)

#3 - Malfunction by J.E. Purrazzi - 4/5 stars ('23 TBR, audio)

The biggest issue I had with this book is not one that affects the rating: the narrator was not good. Awful inflections, stilted dialogue rendering, no emotion, weird pacing for the action sequences. Not a good time.

As for the story itself, I was kind of struggling to follow it? At least in the first half or so, the characters seemed to jump from one situation to another without much motivation apart from the nebulous “don’t die”. Things came together more in the second half, once they received some information that started informing their decisions, but it very much felt like the story happened to them. I don’t think I’d strictly label it a pacing issue, and the writing style itself wasn’t a hindrance, so I got along ok despite occasional confusion over the new situation the characters found themselves in (and there was a new situation every few chapters).

The highlight had to be the main cast itself. The villains and side characters were vague, but Menrva, Cowl, and Bas really shined (setting aside whatever made the author go with those names and especially that spelling of “Minerva”). Bonus points for full-grown adult protagonists with fleshed-out backstories, complex relationships and motivations, and solid narrations that didn’t make me favor one POV over the others.

The Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard - The concept was beyond intriguing, and the opening images reminded me of The Goblin Emperor for some reason, but the writing failed to grab me. The voice itself was bland, but also...vague? Not immersive, I guess. It feels unfair to give up so soon on such a large book but there we are.

The Empty Grave by Jonathan Stroud - I had this book for over a month and didn't even get a quarter of the way through it. My brain refused to focus. Since I was out of renewals at the library, I returned it to try again later.

At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon - Technically I picked up this book in like February, got five pages in, and never came back to it. I had every intention of making an effort but.... Yeah, I'll have to make an effort some other time. Right now I'm just tired of it staring at me.

I'd like the Nannies to express their opinion about this please. With the full understanding that no person or persons on this side of the computer can control, sway or change Ben's mind or heart. That's not the point. The point is to understand what you believe is the psychological reasoning behind the decision to use that phrasing with his pregnant, soon to be fiancé and soon to be wife and soon to be mother of his child. According to People magazine and the Daily Mail, and those, including nannies, who said they have seen a Birth Certificate, Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch was born on June 1st.  Dislike it all you want, having a birthday makes it possible, and given human nature, likely that people will speculate on the date of conception, especially considering the facts, including the timing with regards to the Oscars and the shotgun* nature of the wedding. If it was a full term no problem pregnancy, 40 weeks, not under or over due, she was 2 and a half months pregnant when the above statement was made.

This story you nannies have built up, that Ben and Sophie have a true perfect love forever, that they never fight, how do you reconcile that with the whole unvarnished truth? Unless Sophie was totally gormless, she must have known she was pregnant. If Ben was dating her and truly in love, he would have known she was pregnant. They married three months later. He was in true love with the women he married, the woman he proposed to, whom he didn't mention by her name in interviews, and didn't want to walk down the red carpet to his movie premiere with the woman making his dreams come true, his dreams of being a father.

Now you are going to yell about things like privacy. That what he said was meant to protect Sophie and hide the pregnancy. I think anyone who is at all skeptical could answer that one. No one eager for privacy about their personal life talks to reporters, USA Today, or People magazine at all, let alone does a wedding dress spread in Vogue. I'm surprised it was in the print edition, and not the digital only. After all, maternity bridal gowns aren't really "en vogue". The long and short of it is that photo spread was well positioned and they managed to photograph her to look like she wasn't 5 1/2 months pregnant, perhaps to make that style of gown more in demand. Shotgun weddings tend to favor empire waists and lots of flounce to disguise the bump.

Now, I know the next question from the peanut gallery will be, why bring this up? They have stayed together, have two more kids together and it has been x and whatever years.

Here are several responses. Pick one or more in any combination.

1. Our feelings don't have to be right to be valid.

2. You have the option to object to our perfectly valid emotional reaction.

3. We have a right to block you from our page. You also have this right.

4. If you object to our opinions, you do not have to read our blogs or interact with us in anyway. If you are constantly feeling harassed because you see content from skeptics, BLOCK THEM, don't blame them! If the worker at Sea World handed you a poncho to protect yourself and you didn't use it, you can't blame the Shamu if you get splashed.(Sorry for the outdated and insensitive analogy but I wanted something easy to understand. I disagree whole hearted with the captivity of intelligent creatures be they aquatic or terrestrial mammals.)

5. We are valid in our own right as people. If you attack us on a personal level, we will defend ourselves and we have the right to do so.

6. As long as we do not interact with anyone,(i.e. Ben, Sophie, Karon, his management, etc) we can say whatever we want on our own blogs. The majority of us have never met him and don't want to. As far as we are concerned, Ben is an imaginary person that we are writing as a character for a long running D&D campaign.

7. However, the same does not apply to you. Many of you have gone out of your way to meet him. You believe that by sending hate to skeptics or doxxing them you will earn validation from him. I worry that some of you are on the brink and if he doesn't acknowledge you one time, or does something that you can't justify with your world view, one of you will snap. You think this about us, I know. But the nannies on the whole have much more emotional investment in Ben's personal life. (As a for instance, The skeptics call him Ben because at least one nanny has said that, "we don't know that he prefers that nickname so we should use his full name" another said "nicknames are for close friends and family and we aren't those, so we should call him by his full name or Mr. Cumberbatch." If Ben even has two thoughts about any skeptic or nanny(especially how they address him in blog posts) for the entire year I'd be surprised. Unless, of course, it when he has to think about you lot bothering him, stalking him, and generally making a nuisance of yourselves.

I also know you complain that the skeptics don't "love" Ben in every thing he does and don't always watch all his work. The gatekeeping within the fandom, not include how you discount and loathe the skeptics, is extreme. Fans must be all or nothing.

1. Not everyone has the money to participate fully, whether that is buying movies, theater tickets, merchandise or going to conventions to hear him speak. Disregarding fans based on their ability to participate, especially due to financial inability, is gatekeeping and it is the worst kind of gatekeeping. You are saying the only good fans are rich ones.

2. Generally the nannies viewpoint is Eurocentric as well. Some people have jobs, have children to raise, have other things that take priority over "being a fan". Being a fan requires time that poorer countries, less developed countries generally lack. Some countries censor the movies that are shown. Doctor Strange was not shown in the East the way it was in the west and unless you can afford to travel to another location,(Say the London Premiere that didn't quite happen and the nannies were upset because he didn't preform like a good little monkey in a suit for them?) you are made to feel left out by the uber fans.

3. Some people have emotional triggers. Ben's roles tend more towards the dramatic then comedic. Drama can deeply affect those who have experienced similar situations. He has been in movies dealing with Cancer, Childhood Abuse, Incest, Slavery, War, Pedophilia, have I missed any major triggers?

4. He is also in the MCU and the Hobbit movies which have flashing lights which makes them inaccessible to those who have seizures and migraines. Another oft used gatekeeping tactic in fandoms is the restriction of accessibility. In the US, there are compliancy laws for disabilities(although they aren't always obeyed) but smaller, poorer countries may not have accessible movie theaters. Fans with disabilities can not travel as easily as more abled fans. Smaller independent films Benedict made at the beginning of his career may not have captions or audio description or may be unafforable for those that have medical costs to consider.

5. There is also gender bias in the Cumberbatch fandom. One need only look at their chosen name, Cumberbitches. I can think of 15 more gender neutral terms off the top of my head but men and those who identify as male were inherently excluded from the fandom. I can think of ONE male fan. Maybe one that writes under his wife's account as to not get ridiculed. Because they would be ridiculed by the nannies, that is who they are, the "gatekeepers of the fandom", deciding who is worthy to be a Ben fan.

They have made fun of fans before. Not just skeptics. People they don't like or don't want in their little clique. So the majority of Ben's fans are middle aged rich white women. Not because that's who he's trying to reach as an audience but because that is who his uber fans allow to worship him.

If you are in need of examples of how out of control the uber fans are take the following for an example.

Someone did a nice tweet about other actors. It had nothing to do with Ben, although it did feature Tom Hiddleston and other Marvel actors. The ubers starting by saying Ben wasn't listed, then jumped into, well, a screenshot is worth a thousand words.

Okay so last power rangers post for a while (ie until I can think up more), but here is in no paticular order (except as they appear on page which is not numbered for good reason) My favorite rangers (as of recent) with explanaitions as best as I give them. Mostly these are the ones I could think of.

Karone- yeah if you've seen my last 2 posts you probably pretty much figured this one out . But why? Well my favorite villian to hero arc in early power rangers, best oufits in both hero and villian deparments for the respctive seasons (in my opinion), my favorite sibling relationship in the series almost as a whole with Andros, and all around a fun deep desevered both better and more screen time. Even with her there are a few flaws but I'm not gonna nitpick any of these as I realized the post is already way too long.

Tommy Oliver- yep it's an unfortuante truth of the world that many people either have Tommy on their favorites list or unfavorites list for a variety of reasons. Yeah the basis for me here is the more seasons you're in the more your charcter could grow as a result of those seasons. This is especially true for him I was all right with him in MMPR grew to like him in zeo, felt that he was the only main character worth watching in turbo (yes I have a soft spot for a turbo charcterization, sue me), and finnally loved him when he was in dino thunder. He went for solid cool karate guy to shoehorned team leader, to neat a fleshed out charcter to man he's smooth to cool "been there, done that" mentor figure/team member.

Izzy Garcia- I'm a sucker for suprises. One such suprise power rangers actually having a decent charcter that is lgbtq+ in any way. Scratch that an especially good character. I love Izzy, her meme humor, her timing with that humor, her relationships with her teamates and family and Fern, her charcterization, and most of all how respectfully her charcter is done from the get go. Not shoehorned in, not over the top,but also known and not completely under the radar. She's a great charcter. She's also not the only realtive noob that I'm including here because I've only watched most of the older-mid seasons recently , and almost none of that completley except for the first 6 plus dino thunder and operation overdrive.

Emily from power rangers Samurai and super samurai- Okay admitiley not the most fleshed out charcter, but argubley the best charcter to come out of Samurai or Super Samurai. I love her alright almost no logical reason for it. I just love the charcter so much. Shes adorkable, she is a ray of sunshine, she's clever when she needs to be, and (you can aruge with me, but I think so) the most steady and steadfast charcter progression in Samurai. Also as much others may not of I thuroughly enjoyed her charcter. They also probably never mention her last name as it's not on the wiki.

Wes Collins- now I don't remember much of my orignial watch through of time force. But I do remember feeling like I could stick it to the man that was destiny. This is because of this charcter specificallly for the most part. Also he remined me that we're not our parents, and what our plans or destinies are don't have to be theirs. His relationship with Jen was one of my favorites in all of PR for a while. All that and finnally he just seems like an awesome charcter, and as previously established sometimes that's all I need.

Hello.

Side beat: I am so happy 😭 kay naa na sa mobile app pati ang page break 🫶 Finally maka-post nako og tanan na style maski sa phone lang. No need na mag adto sa chrome or sa laptop. Sksksks. Hahays.

Okay so monday karon diba. Ugma tuesday kay magpauban akong pinsan na kaedad sa akong manghod sa ilang recognition. Ako na lang unta magpaso para sa iyaha pero nag-ingon siya ganina na basi naa daw iyang mama ana na time pero uban lang daw ghapon ko. Actually, mejo gusto ko magstay na lang sa balay pero wala man gihapon koy himuon so uban na lang cguro. Tas chance na pud nako to maka istorya akong ante about sa pag biyahe nako pauli. Ibilin lang si James diri. Di man na siya maunsa guro oy. Dako naman na siya.

So maski og nag-okay na lang ko atong sunday na magstay na lang sa diri, narealize nako ganina buntag, actually gabii pa pero mej di pa fully, na need jud nako muuli.

Tungod kay akong kili-kili, jusko, is hairy enough na po na need na siya i-wax. As ehn. Also, imagine magstay ako dito ng about 2 more weeks. Gagi. Edi kagubatan na po eto. Actually, I don't mind naman the hair length as long as nasa bahay lang ako the whole time and I am not meeting any new people or long-time-no-see people. Pero beh, uuwi daw uncle ko and beloved pinsan ko na eldest nila na kaedad ko rin. Matagal na po kaming di nagmeet. At kahit wala akong degree nor graduating status, or kahit pretty self na maipepresenta sa kaniya, at least man lang comfy-in-her-own-skin self ko ang haharap sa kaniya. Di naman siya judger lol. Self ko lang ito. Pero kahit naaaa di ko na kilala yan siya. Busy na rin yan siya. Hahays. Hindi ako magiging comfy ever if di ako makakapag wax! Tangina. This dillema is because of my mader.

Grabe sirang-sira po ang summer break ko dahil sa depota kong mama. As innnnn. Yung initial plan kasi is after july 10 na kami pupunta dito kasi sa july 10 ang recognition ng kapatid ko. Tapos stay kami hanggang lampas july 23 kasi sa july 23 ang bday ng kapatid ko and ng isa pang pinsan. 1 year apart lang sila. So balak ng tita ko, nanay ng pinsan ko, na pagsabayin na lang ang bday celebration nila dalawa. Sheesh.

Perooo noong monday. Potangina. Biglang sabi ng nanay ko na magbiyahe na kami early kasi raw may afam ang kapitbahay nila and isasama daw mag visit ng popular tourist spots ang lahat ng anak ng lola namin (so kasali kami if present kami). So ayown minadali kami.

Nabwisit po ako eh syempre. Kasi minamadali na naman ako eh naka set na ang mind ko na after july 10 kami babiyahe. May mga tasks na ako na gustong macomplete before ang day na yon. Tapos biglang nag-iba ang plano ang nagmamadali na naman kami. Depota talaga.

Sa inis ko nagsabi na nga lang ako na ayaw ko na lang sumama kasi kung ganyan na lang din na di magbibigay ng maayos na schedule kung kelan talaga dapat pupunta tapos bigla-bigla pang papupuntahin as if walang ginagawa mga tao (ako) sa sarili nilang buhay, edi wag na lang akong sumama. Pero ang mama ko nangguilt trip bwiset. BWISET. Sabi niya baka one time na lang daw yon na magsama sama kami lahat kasi aalis na si ante pa japan. Makes sense naman tho. Tsaka naisip ko rin na graduate na beloved pinsan ko. After neto magiging busy na siya for sure. Magiging full adult na siya di na kami makakarelate sa isa't isa ever. So ayown. Nagpunta na lang ako kahit 1 week lang ako. Kasi namention kasi ni mama nung nag-uusap sila ni pader na babalik daw siya after 1 week. So ayown kahit 1 week lang.

Sa pagkaka-intindi ko rin kasi. After niya umuwi after 1 week, if gusto pa daw namin magstay, edi maiwan kami dito hanggang lampas 23 and kami na lang uuwi. KAMI NA LANG UUWI. Yan ang ayaw ko kaya naisip ko edi cge sasabay na lang ako sa mama ko na umuwi after 1 week.

Pero ang depota na babae, balak umuwi sunday na agad. Eh yung bunso ko na pinsan na kaedad ni james, may retreat nung friday and uuwi sa saturday ng hapon. Eh siya lang fun na pinsan kasi kami lahat pati yung taga manila na mga pinsan nakakasabay siya sa mga fun things. Sabado ng hapon pa daw siya uuwi. Syempre, ang iksi iksi naman ng stay namin dito. Akala ko nga tuesday rin kami uuwi eh. Pero kainis kasi itong mama namin, uuwi daw siya para sa debot duty niya. So kinausap ko siya na wag na lang umuwi agad. Ang reason niya is masusupend daw siya kung di siya magdedebot. Tapos, eto ang pinakasamok na part, saka niya pa sinabi sa akin na babalik naman pala siya. Uuwi siya, work nga few days para may pera then babalik.

BABALIK NAMAN PALA SIYA. Yawa jud. Gago. Babalik pa rin pala siya. Edi sana pumayag na lang siya na magpaiwan muna ako and sabay na lang ako sa kaniya sa 2nd punta niya. Pero instead, nang guilt trip pa. Pota talaga eh. Walang respeto sa sarili kong plano and schedules and panahon. Depota talaga siya na tao. Alam niya na magpipintura pa ako ng kwarto. Bwiset talaga siya pramis. BWISET.

Tapos after ranting to my friend, finally na bring up ko na sa kanya doon sa bao-bao falls nung malapit na kami umuwi. Buti pa tita ko na isa nagets ang point ko. Tapos si mama talaga kung sumagot parang ginagawa akong bata. Bwiset bwiset. After some sagutan, tinanong niya ako kung uuwi ba talaga ako. Eh sabi ko na lang Oo kahit sa totoo lang gusto ko sana di muna siya umuwi kasi gusto ko maghang-out muna kami ng nagreteat kong pinsan for a couple more days before umuwi. Tapos sinagot pa naman ako ng "aw cge una na lang didto kaw".

Gago talaga. Mauna na lang daw ako. Like??? Yan ba ang point??? YAN BA ANG POINT HA? DEPOTA KA PALA EH. Tumawa pa siya as if ka funny ng response niya. Gaga.

Grabe as in. Ewan nakalimutan ko na ang exact sequence of events. Kasi bad memory yun eh. Mabilis ko talaga makalimutan mga ganyan. Pwede rin na mahina na ang short term memory ko. Gagi. Nabwisit talaga ako sa kaniya pramis.

Narinig ko sa pinsan ko and kapatid rin ata na napagsabihan daw ang mama ko ng dalawa niyang kapatid. Pero about yun sa pag bi-baby sa akin. Oo problema ko rin yun. Kitang-kita na ang pagkain diyan and nasabihan na rin ako na time na kumain. Sasabihan pa ako ng kumain na? Or kaya sasabihan ako paano kumain? Gago ba siya? Nakakainis kasi annoying masyado plus naiinis na nga ako sa kaniya kasi for the past months or maybe year na dahil sa lahat ng away and atraso niya sa akin. Tapos mag e-fc fc pa talaga sa akin. Can't read the room talaga. Grabe.

Pero ginaconsider ko rin ang possibility na baka attempt niya yun to be close to me again. Alam ko gusto niya makipag close sa akin ulit. Pero ayaw ko na gani until magets niya na ang problema niya sa ugali niya and matuto siya magsorry. Di kasi yan siya nagsosorry nakakabwiset. Ayaw ko rin magpatawad sa mga taong di kaya magsorry ng totohanan. Cguro maging civil lang. Pero hindi talaga ako nagpapatawad basta di alam ang mali nila.
