What’s your favorite Sims death?

None. My gameplay rule number 1: nobody dies. Ever.

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?

I'm not quite sure if I understand what Maxis Match and Alpha mean, I just download the CC that is to my taste and anything that goes with my sims style.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Yes, I have a mod that makes the sims keep their shape, because most of them are part of my stories and need to stay in their character. Though just like real life people, my sims come in all shapes and sizes.

Do you move objects?

A lot, especially when I'm taking pictures for my stories.

Favorite Mod?

For Sims 3, all the Nraas mods, as well as any mod to get rid of the silly faces the sims make when they're idle. I wish there was something that actually cancelled the autonomy, but I haven't seen anything like that so far. For Sims 4, Basemental and Wonderful (not Wicked) Whims are a must. Good Lighting Mods are essential too, for both S3 and S4.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

For The Sims it must've been Hot Date; for Sims 2 it was University; for Sims 3, I think it was High End Loft Stuff, and for Sims 4, it was Get to Work.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

aLive (like 'hey, we're going live' now'. Like when I yell "Action!" and start taking pictures for my story posts.

Who's your favorite sim that you've made?

I don't really have a favorite as I love them all. Plus, i have very few sims made by me since most of them were born in game. Now If I had to choose a favorite sim that I made from scratch, it would be a tie between Winston Casanova, Karen Valentine, Felix Ferdinand and (naturally) Robin Crane. Sorry, I can't decide myself, like I said, I love them all! 😄

Have you made a simself?

No, but I used to have a Sims 2 simself, it wasn't made by me, but by someone from the forum I was on in those days (circa 2004).

Which is your favorite EA hair color?

For The Sims 3 any color, for The Sims 4 I use black hair a lot.

Favorite EA hair?

All Banged up (Sims 3 Store), cause for a long time it was the official hair of my sim Tony Langerak (Tony Langerak's World Adventures). I also like some of the hair in the Supernatural EP, with the appropriate retextures, of course.

Favorite life stage?

I have no favorite; I play with all of them. But at the moment I'm playing more with young adults and adults.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

Gameplay, mostly because I'm not good at building. I've never built anything in The Sims 3, and The Sims 4's build mode gets on my nerves, so I don't touch it. In The Sims 2 I used to build and upload my houses and community lots like bars and dorms. Those were the days!

Are you a CC creator?

I started creating cc when I was playing The Sims 2, recolors mostly. I was just starting out when The Sims 3 was released, and no one was interested in my content anymore. I would make CC for the Sims 3 but so much time passed that I forgot how to use Photoshop and all the tricks I had learned to paste textures, etc. I would like to relearn to create something in The Sims 4, but now I don't have as much time as I used to, and I prefer to use the little time I have to take pics and advance my stories.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

A squad unfortunately no, but I have my mutuals. I hope someday we can form a club, or a chat, or something where I can communicate more with them. Again, if only I have the time...

Do you have any sims merch?

No.

Do you have a YouTube for sims?

No. I would have liked to have a Let's Play back in the day, I would have had fun and I would have probably amused other simmers, but now I don't know if I would dare, I'm too self-conscious and a bit too old for that.

How has your "Sims style" changed throughout your years of playing?

I started playing privately and "writing" my stories only in my head, then I started taking photos and sharing my stories, that's how I got started as a storyteller. My stories were quite popular on the forum I was on, with way many more views than I have now. Later, with Sims 3 times I created my Blogger and for a while I just uploaded my sims, shared sims memories and made tutorials. Then along came Tumblr and, from creating sims and helping others with their games, I became a storyteller again. (Calling myself a "writer" would be too much, as English is not my native language). I would really like to write and share more polished and structured stories, but I don't have the time and/or privacy nowadays to create the kind of stories I have in mind. In short, I no longer have time to write the intricate stories with lots of different characters and lots of drama that I used to write back in the Sims 2 days. nowadays my "sim style" has been reduced to sharing gameplay and the occasional story post. (If you can call that a style).

Who’s your favorite CC creator?

Wow, that's a tough one. There are so many! You can check My Favorites Sites list on my old blog home page here. It sure doesn't mention all the wonderful creators that have been added to my sim universe since I wrote that list. And some of the cc creators from The Sims 4 are missing. I promise to update it soon on my new blog!

How long have you had Simblr?

My first Tumblr post I made on August 8, 2013, almost ten years ago!

How do you edit your pictures?

I find Reshade or whatever-other-shade too invasive and complicated, so I use a photo editor called Photoscape X Pro to (try to) enhance my pics a little, though I don't know a thing about editing, so I wouldn't call what I do "editing", lol.

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite?

For The Sims 3, would be World Adventures and Into the Future (in that order) I also love University, Island Paradise, Late Night and Seasons. For The Sims 4, mm, I don't know, probably Snowy Scape. For the Sims 2 it is hard to decide, I love them all, especially University and Open for Business. And for The Sims it was Making Magic.

Like I said, English is not my native language so my apologies if some paragraphs were confusing.

Round 3 Season Finale - The Langerak Household (Part 1)

It was a long time coming, after 15 years as a maid, Kaylynn was able to move out of her shared living space (in the NPC/townie pool) and live in her new house with a new career in medicine.

She did receive a hefty monetary gift from her long-term boyfriend, Daniel. And even though he said lied about not sleeping with his wife anymore, she can't help but forgive him.

Daniel: Come join me for dinner tonight. In celebration of your new house and career. Kaylynn: Really? Out in public? Let me go change! Daniel: Nah, wear the uniform. Everyone is waiting. Kaylynn: Everyone?

Talk about an awkward dinner, at least for Kaylynn. Mary Sue long forgave her for sleeping with her husband. She's just such a good maid, you know? Good help is hard to find.

The Pleasants gifted Kaylynn 1000 simoleons as a parting gift for her hard work the last 12+ years.

Lucy is so tall. I keep forgetting she's still a teenager.

Funny Sims images I turned into memes - Part 1

Unless you're a brave or daredevil Sim. Pretty much everyone yells around.

I don't remember why she was running, but it had nothing to do with the baby 😅

If you know Megamind, you'll know what meme we're talking about.

Sometimes people wonder what's going on in people's and animals' heads. Sims at silent moments get a random thought bubble and my dog Maro got a bubble about begging for a promotion. The question is.....for what.

Yes, or I'm going way to far here. (Who have followed me for years know that already 🤭)

Number 2 makes sense, cause at one point before a patch people could have their Sims get pregnant by the Grim Reaper. It was a life goal of many Simmers, but sadly not every can achieve it anymore 😭

If you have ever been in the miraculous fandom, you would know people would use this quote, if two characters, mostly close ones would do the same pose or have the same direction, even in a separate picture. This here is the case.

Never questioned, if Sims would do that, until one day out of boredom I chased the Sim River across the house with a dog and she just stood there with that face.

We have seen Don Lothario having a redemption arc from a former womanizer to a daughter's daddy, why not having a former golddigger be a son's mommy? (Things get interesting when you remember, DIna's actually is meant to be a Latina and Latina moms are another level of mom)

This is random, but I wrote a oneshot once, where Parker Langerak and his father were playing soccer on the roof of the Tilelicious home, because they kicked the ball up there by accident and needed to bring it back to their boy. Up there, they had a stupid idea....

I had a third one, but it wasn't visible enough.

I don't remember seeing pets smile in the game, to be honest. But Buddy is a cutie here :3

What happened to my Pleasantview? Part 1

So I’ve had my current Pleasantview save for more than a year and a half now, and since I wasn’t really planning on posting about it I barely have any good quality pictures, so I thought it’d be best to share what has happened to my Pleasantview as I do intend to post the current generation and future ones.

So, here it goes:

Lothario lineage: Don did marry Cassandra but their marriage was very very short. They had a very good looking boy, Carl Lothario-Goth. Don went back to his condo after his divorce, taking one third of the Goth fortune with him. Then, when Carl was a child, he randomly died after one of his many bachelor nights with dates. Carl then went on inheriting his father’s condo as well as his commitment issues trait. He had a long time relationship with one of the many girls he met on college, Margaret Paul, and had a girl, Rosalie. After this point, the Lothario name was changed to Lothario-Paul. Rosalie is basically the female version of Don, having lots of men over until she got pregnant by her long time “friend”, and had Selena.

Goth lineage: Currently split between Cassandra’s descendants and Alexander’s descendants. Cassandra’s descendants are the Wallace family while Alexander’s line kept the Goth surname.

Cassandra went on to marry Darren Dreamer (at this point they were known as the Dreamers) and had two children: Kara and Travis. Kara married Brandi’s fourth child (more on this later) and Travis married his high school sweetheart Angelica Wallace. After their marriage he took her last name and inherited Cassandra and Darren’s home after they both died. They had two daughters, Vivian and Maisie. Maisie became the heir and married Pete Broke, Dustin’s youngest child and only son, and now are raising a daughter, Anne.

Alexander took over the Goth manor after Dina was successfully kicked out of it and Cassandra decided to buy another house with Darren in order to distance herself from the Goth brand, so to say. He had trouble finding a suitable woman and ended up going on a very random blind date in which he met police officer Demi Love. They fell in love rather quickly and married. Demi then changed her name to the more Goth-like Demetria and had three children: Matthias, Elizabeth and Gerald. Everything was going well and the family was well on their way to recovering from the hard blow of losing two thirds of their fortune after Dina and Don messing them up, and Alexander had just become Mad Scientist like his father, but then he died after being scared to death by his great grandfather. Matthias went on to marry Adam Broke’s daughter, Gerald moved downtown and Elizabeth became the first Goth female family head. She married Brad and has two children, Beatrice and Isaiah.

The Caliente lineage: Dina managed to seduce Mortimer and married him immediately after Cassandra and Don’s wedding. In order to ensure herself to part of her husband’s fortune, she had a son with him, Paulo. Mortimer died soon after his birth. After this, Cassandra and Dina ended in a lengthy legal battle which ended with Dina taking one third of the Goth’s money as settlement so Cassandra and Alexander wouldn’t lose their iconic house. Then Dina and Paulo moved back in with Nina, but Nina died after being scared to death by Michael Bachelor’s ghost which was interpreted as revenge from Netherworld for destroying the Goth family and basically stealing their fortune. Dina then vowed to make herself independent especially after also losing her friend and lover Don. She then met a new resident called Darnell Morrison, who she genuinely fell in love with and married. After this, she was known as Dina Morrison. She had another child, Omar, learned the value of good work (that fortune needed to be invested somehow) and became quite successful as a lawyer. She also became a good mother to both Paulo and Omar. Omar became the Morrison heir and married Claudia Langerak, Kaylynn’s oldest child. They had two boys, Ryan and Lucien. Omar and Claudia were set to become Pleasantview’s most famous couple after Mortimer and Bella, but Claudia tragically died after being struck by lightning. Omar then lived in grief for a long time just focusing on his architectural career and raising his two boys. After some time and when his sons were teenagers, he met college senior Maggie and married her, and then had two daughters, Gabrielle and Rita. Lucien was named heir of the Morrisons, met and married Gina Cross and had two daughters, Tegan and Veronica. They now live in Pleasantview’s most expensive mansion.

Paulo has lived his whole life as the “second class Goth”, apart from his half-siblings who barely acknowledged his existence. He became a vampire and did become friends with both Elizabeth and Gerald. He has recently married Petra Pleasant (Lilith’s daughter). He also explored with astronomy for a bit, ended up being abducted by aliens which resulted in a daughter, Adelaide. She married some townie called Merle Walsh and has two daughters, Renata and Julia.

The Dreamer lineage: Dirk’s descendants.

Dirk lived with his dad and stepmother for a while, then went to college. Shortly before going to college, he met Sophie Miguel with whom he clicked almost immediately. Sophie followed him to college where their romance blossomed. It was tough for Dirk but he ended up choosing Sophie, breaking both his and Lilith’s hearts. Dirk and Sophie married and had two children, Virgil and Isaac. Dirk died in a fire, just like his mother. Shortly after, Isaac was taken away by the social worker as Sophie was too distraught to look after him. Virgil went on to marry Zahara, Lilith’s daughter, with whom he had three bolts and a very deep love from the beginning. They had a daughter, Joanna, who has recently married Oliver Cormier-Broke (Dustin’s grandson).

How I play Sims 2 rotationally with spreadsheets

This is going to be a post that shows off how I play The Sims 2 rotationally and track my Sims with spreadsheets.

I do rotational gameplay, and yes, the YouTuber Pleasant Sims inspired me to play like this. If you want to learn more about rotational gameplay, or how I play my game, then I suggest that you watch this video by Pleasant Sims, because it's what inspired me to play this way because I liked the sound of it.

In short, rotational gameplay is when you play multiple families in the same town, in an order, for the same amount of time. So you play 3 days in one family, then play three days in a different family, etc. etc.

In my opinion, The Sims 2 is best for this type of gameplay, because when you leave a household, time freezes for that household and you can get caught up in another house. The same amount of time in game passes from when you start the "rotation" (I prefer to call them "rounds" though) as to when you end it.

Census

I use a Google Slides spreadsheet to keep what I call my "Census" of Pleasantview, and I do "bookkeeping" of the data of my town in general. Such as, tracking which year it is in the household, when Sims are born, their names and previous names. I usually keep it on my second screen and update it each day at midnight. See below.

On this Census, I track what year it is in the household, which round the household is on, their first and last names. I usually set the oldest Sim in the household to be the "founder" and then everyone else's relationship to the founder. (Kinda like a real census would). I keep their birth year, age, life stage, and other information like their aspiration, highest Education, previous surnames, gender orientation preference, and careers.

I group Sims together by household and who lives with who.

So currently in the Goth household, Mortimer Goth, Cassandra, Don, Dina, and the others live together. But Alexander Goth is now a young adult, going to college, and he is in a separate household.

I have my game modded to where 1 day = 1 year, and my current rounds are one Sims-Week long, ergo, 7 years pass in each round. Since this game came out near the end of 2004, I decided to start out each household in 2005 to represent a full-year.

So since it started in 2005, Round 1 lasts seven days/"years." Once it reaches 2011 in game I stop playing that household, and play the next household until I get through all the households in game.

Round 2 will start in 2012 and end in 2018. Round 3 will start in 2019 and end in 2025, etc.

My goal is to get through 5 round right now, which will be around 30 years passed. Since I just finished round 1, so I have a while to get to this goal.

The family play order when I started was:

Lothario, Goth, Caliente, Broke, Dreamer, Pleasant, Burb, Oldie, Langerak.

Aging

- Pregnancy/Unborn is modded to be 18 hours

(Note: since one day is one year, then "9 months" would equate to 18 hours). I'm fine with this because with the normal settings, it'd be a three day/year pregnancy which wouldn't make sense and playing pregnant Sims is awful, anyway). - Baby, 2 days (ages 0-1) - Toddler, 3 days (ages 2-4) - Child, 7 days (ages 5-11) - Teen, 7 days (ages 12-18) - Adult, (If my Sim doesn't go to college) 46 days (ages 19-65) - Elder, can live from 9-30 days (ages 66-95)

Since time passes differently when Sims 2 sims go to college, I use a mod so that college that lasts 8 days in game, and one year in college = 2 sims days to keep up the 4-years, because you need the extra time, believe me.

if my Sim went to college:

-> Young Adult (ages 19-22, 8 days) -> Adult, (ages 23-65, 42 days)

This is NOT what I do in Sims 3 or 4. Sims 2 just had a weird university system where you can only go to college and be a "young adult" directly from being a teenager or you age into an adult and don't go to college.

Naming conventions

So, I am TERRIBLE at coming up with names in the Sims so I found a naming convention system that works for me. And yes, it involves another tab in my census spreadsheet.

Basically I have a list of unique names I found from real life, or that I got from a baby-naming website, grouped by first letter and gender.

In order to keep the names interesting and varied, I will always use the next letter in the alphabet that has the least amount of names in town

The last baby born in game was named Imogen. The next letter in the alphabet that has no Sims in the town is the letter O, so I marked this row yellow to remind myself. Whenever the next Sims-baby is born, that baby's name will begin with the letter O and I use whichever one of the names calls out to me. After that I will mark Q as yellow, since the next letter with no names is Q.

This also makes me kinda excited to get Sims at some point with unique names, especially when we get to the VWXYZ part of the alphabet.

I also keep track of how many of each letter is in the town to keep it somewhat balanced and varied and also try not to repeat names so I don't get confused.

So like, there are 6 D-names in Pleasantview, meaning that there probably won't be any more D-names for a while until those Sims die.

Dead Sims

I haven't had to use this yet because I've had no deaths, but once a Sim does die, I have a secondary tab on my spreadsheet for "death records" where I will move their data, and include info on their death so they aren't on the living census. I put in a placeholder for now to give an idea of what it'll look like.

Other gameplay rules?

Honestly, this is enough for me to keep track of! However, I also want to say that I plan on capping most families at having 3 kids because if I don't, there will eventually be WAYYYY too many families, so some branches of some families may never have children. I don't want my world to become too overpopulated after a couple generations!

Also I highly encourage marrying the random townies and not just Pleasantview residents, because if you don't, The Pleasantview family trees end up becoming a family wreath and everyone gets related to everyone at some point... And yeah, this blog ain't promoting any incest.

Why play like this?

So I used to play the Sims with just one family, or try to start a big legacy, but I would get so bored. This way, I'm always playing with different Sims and it keeps the game interesting. I also love the Sims 2 Pleasantview's residents and their lore, and wanted to finally tell some stories with them.

The spreadsheets were a bit tedious at first, but now that I have it made it's great for keeping track of everything.

Soon, I'm going to actually share what's happened in the past 7 years of Pleasantview during Round 1.

Megakingom Makeovers!

I had a brief setback in the form of a single piece of CC deciding to crash the Beaker lot, but aside from that I have been plugging along nicely, setting up the Megakingdom. In this post, enjoy the rest of the Strangetown makeovers and the first few Riverblossom Hills makeovers!

Ajay Loner:

I had to give somebody a serf hood, and he got the short end of the stick. It protects him from the desert sun, probably. Being a peasant in Strangetown, he'll probably be a miner.

The Grunts! General Buzz:

They're the only Yeoman family in Strangetown, and will therefore own the local hedge tavern.

Loki Beaker: (there isn't much anybody can do about his overall... face.)

Nervous is going to move in with his mom after a round or so, when she formally acknowledges him as her heir. Loki's going to try to manipulate matters so that his sister Erin marries Nervous and becomes the next Duchess of Strangetown--they rarely have chemistry in my games, and I'm probably going to make Nervous have feelings for his dear friend Pascal, but I think under medieval rules, Loki can force the matter as long as Erin and/or Nervous don't have better legal offers, and as long as Olive doesn't object. Looking forward to playing that Drama.

Moving on to Riverblossom Hills, we start with Alexandra Teatherton (nee O'Mackey)

It is technically possible for her to fulfill her dream of being a pirate (literally, not through the Adventurer career), but she will have to earn (or marry) her way up to Yeoman so she can move to Bluewater Village, then get hired on a ship owned by somebody else (nobody owns a ship yet) and work her way up to Captain. (...I may add some mutiny mechanics so she can take over an become a true pirate, but one step at a time here).

The O'Mackeys: Gabe:

No particular plans for them yet; Gabe needs a new wife to provide him with an heir, and Jules needs to start courting.

Leod McGreggor:

He kept his kilt for formalwear, albeit a less modern version. And you better believe he's gonna be a peasant farmer.

I didn't stick closely to Jason's original outfit, figuring this is a man who abandoned society to go live in the woods with his dryad wife. He should look the part a little more! I could have kept Rose in her plantsim outfit, or something close to it, but this green dress was impossible to resist. As the yeoman family of Riverblossom Hills, they may run a hedge tavern, although it's highly likely I'll have them run an orchard as well.

In case anyone's curious, I decided to delete Hat's Gestation-Based Aging in favor of 1 Day = 1 Year Aging, although I haven't decided how to handle college yet as I struggle to get my sims through 24-hour semesters. Most likely, I'll use the Semester Changes mod to make each college year be one 48-hour semester, and then play college rounds double. It's not perfect, but I can't think of any other method that would fit. (well, I could make an in-hood college as described in the MCC rules, but I don't wanna.) All this is going to mean that I need to carefully figure out all premade sims' ages and birthdates all over again, which is always both fun and tedious at the same time.

I'm several play (well, makeover and build) sessions ahead of my posts; today I finished making over all Riverblossom Hills sims, and I built the Baldwins' hedge tavern, the Clevelands' home, and the Cordials' magic shop. I also did quick exterior remodels of two BDC buildings, which was fun. I still have to give makeovers to all the Veronaville sims (including the Picasos, the Travellers, and Cy Roseland, moved to Veronaville for bloodline diversity), all premade college sims, Kaylynn Langerak, and as many townies as I can grab; and I need to build/remodel 2-3 BDC homes (one for Duke Armand DeBateau, and either one or two depending on whether I decide to keep Lord Connor Weir and Lord Geoff Rutherford living together or not), plus quick facelifts for all remaining unowned homes and community lots so they don't look stupid in the background. Then it'll just be a matter of setting up sims' ages, traits, an secondary aspirations correctly... and then I can start playing? While continuing to remodel locations in the next subhood as I go? Man, I am getting there.

Kaylynn Langerak’s journey to motherhood is a spectacle of hilarity and drama. With her paper-bag-masked partner, Daniel Pleasant, in tow, she heads to the hospital, only to be greeted by none other than Dr. Don Lothario. The two men instantly engage in a not-so-subtle battle of egos, each trying to outdo the other in a ridiculous display of one-upmanship. As Kaylynn's water breaks, Don swoops in with grandiose gestures, crossing every ethical boundary imaginable. Daniel, not to be outdone, offers comfort, stories, and dubious advice, each trying to outshine the other. Dr. Lothario’s fumbling with the epidural leaves Kaylynn half-numb and fully exasperated, but the two men are too busy in their macho contest to notice. Despite the chaos, Kaylynn finds solace in Daniel’s stories and attempts at support, even if his methods are questionable. She endures the pain with resilience, reminding herself that this ordeal is bringing her babies closer. In the end, it’s a wild ride filled with heart, humor, and the kind of absurdity that only Pleasantview can deliver.

This may be a weird question...could you put for download Ester and Deezy, Brigit's kids?

I don't have them anymore unfortunately since I made them 5 years ago. But if it helps, I believe Parker's face was a clone of Kaylynn Langerak's, so their faces would have that mixed in? Brigit's face I think was a creation of my own based off a Sims 1 thumbnail?

Meanwhile Karen and Hank are at the Langerak house for a party. You can see Bella here, I edited her face a little to make her look a bit more similar to her Sims 2 self.

I don't know Hank, I'm not really good with fulfilling these kinds of wishes, man.

Ah, yes. The opposite of Hank in any kind of social setting. She either will read a book or watch TV. It's a party, Karen!

This I can do. I can use the terrace over the garage as a little party space for you guys. Karen's not going to like it but it's 2 against 1.

Here we see an exhausted Elodie sleeping in a sleeping bag in the middle of the living room. Go to your bed girl!

When did you get through 8 skill levels in handiness Kare? I thought Hank was the handling the upgrading and repairing stuff around here but it seems it was a 50/50 effort.

All it took was for Karen to lay eyes on Hank in the morning for this wish to appear. I love you guys. Also, Elodie is just rocking out 11 am in the morning back there.

Starting on a possible side hussle early on are we Elodie? Gotta tell you guys, I'm sick of the snow. It's been snowing non-stop for 10 sim days now and Elodie hasn't been to school for a week. Enough, already.

It's fixing things like this that got her skill so high without me noticing.

Those early, poor years of Karen bearing their fruit now. Completed another skill challenge!

It's courthouse time again! Cyd and Kaylynn got married, and they had the cutest four-legged best man. Neither of them had a lot of friends or family, so it was quite a humble event (not even Aunt Zelda could make it, which Kaylynn was sad about).

Skipping another few months forward, Kaylynn found out she was pregnant with the first Roseland baby. She and Cyd were over the moon.

If there was one person Kaylynn missed from living in Pleasantview, it was Coral Oldie. She was a bit like a step-grandmother to her. Ever since Kaylynn first cleaned at the Oldies' house, Coral had been caring and friendly towards her. She always wanted to give Kaylynn something more than just her pay. She knew what happened with Daniel, she knew it was Kaylynn that he cheated on Mary-Sue with, but she never once blamed her for it. She'd learned a thing or two about men in all her years, and she saw her as just a naive girl vulnerable to the power of a middle aged man, and you couldn't say she wasn't right. Even after she moved away, Coral often visited Kaylynn for a catch-up. She was relieved to see her doing well, living in a loving home and expecting a baby like she'd always wanted.

Welcome baby Sylvia Roseland to the world!

And here they all are: the Roselands.

After the birth of Sylvia, the couple decided they needed to find a more suitable family house, one that has enough room for children, a yard big enough for Porthos to run around in, and walls and foundations strong enough not to collapse at the slightest blow of wind. So they saved up a little, made a down payment and moved into their first real shared family home (it's yet to be furnished though).

omg i can't believe that i'm finally done.

~Welcome To Early Pleasantview~

Here is Early Strangetown's lil sibling! The main premise of creation of that first hood, was that a Early Pleasantview didn't exist as a full downloadable neighborhood! So... I went and created one!! It's set 10 years before Pleasantview begins, i know it's not the same as Early Strangetown, but when i was creating this hood timeline i was faced with a problem.

Pleasantview has sims all over town that appear at different main games at the same timeline, so if i would make 20 years before, some sims would be in The Sims 1 Neighborhoods, others would be living in Sims 3 Worlds, so a timeframe that (i think) everyone would be together, would be 10 years prior! And with that, i set it in a general 90's aesthetic, and i took that aesthetic pretty loosely lol, it's difficult with no cc!

Enough rambling, let's get on with the download!

A big reminder! I have the Ultimate Collection, so all EPs and SPs are required for the neighborhood.

As the families finally settle down, the Golden Years of Pleasantview are only beginning. With peaceful and promising futures, will the townsfolk maintain tranquility, or burst into chaos?

I've renovated all of the residential lots, and just like Early Strangetown, i didn't renovated a iconic lot, i wouldn't do 113 Wright Way justice lol, and i didn't renovate the community lots. But i did add a cemetery for deceased premades.

The neighborhood comes with:

10 Families;

9 Inhabited lots;

12 Uninhabited residential lots;

5 Community lots;

1 Apartment, the Pleasantvista Apartment (renovated);

20 Adult Townies, a mixture of Sims 2 townies, Sunset Valley playables turned into townies and Sims 1 playables turned to townies;

15 Teen Townies, mostly adult OG Pleasantview townies but in their teen years;

8 Child Townies; original teen townies from PV but in their childhood;

5 Toddlers in the Adoption Pool; the original townie children;

Michael Bachelor's clones turned to townies, for them to roam around Pleasantview;

And The Sims 1 Services NPCs make an appearance in this hood!;

The premade deceased sims were given bios, just to add more lore into them! But i gave it to them very early in creation, so for them, expect some inconsistency and bad grammar lol

Some townies were also given biographies, at least to those more important to the story.

As i mentioned, the sims are genetically correct, and i used original faces in PV for the parents, made by @meetmetotheriver for their clean template.

I was also thinking about what if you'd like to play a megahood with both Early Strangetown and Pleasantview? What i would recommend, is to play Strangetown until Nervous and the rest of his generation (Lazlo, Erin, Kristen, Lola and Chloe) are teens, and then add Early Pleasantview, just because there's a Nervous counterpart in my PV, and they should have the same age. But you can do whatever you want!

I know this is a VERY LONG post, but i wanted to thank some people for their help with this neighborhood that's very near and dear to my heart <3

Lost in Europe - Chap 1.1

As announced I had in mind to separate add screenshots from the game into the fanfic, but it would be against Ao3 guidelines, so I chose Tumblr. For now, I will mainly focus on the story, later on when I'm far enough I will come back to make the screenshots. I never profoundly used screenshots for story-telling and when I did it wasn't something big as this. The next four posts are the only thing I've done so far, just post-poned the screenshot part for later, when I would have time to work on that and seek for mods, CC and all that.

Chapter 1 in screenshots is split into 3 parts and the first chapter on Ao3 is only one part and no pics. (Still the part on AO3 has around 7000 words just for your info)

I don't have a moment date for when I will update the story with the screenshots, all I can say it will be a long time, until I get there as I only want to focus right now on the fanfic. The fanfic on the other hand should be updated once a week, depending on what's going on in rl. I hope you enjoy my story.

Near lunchtime, the bells of a chapel were ringing announcing the current time. The parking lot by the chapel was occupied by dozen of vehicles, that belonged to the guests attending the ceremony. On the outside, a long-haired teenage girl in a red dress stood by the side of an SUV adding a white ribbon at its side mirror, then looked behind her to see, if she had done the ribbon to look exactly like the one from the first two cars. The girl moved on around the car, then spotted her older brother Michael Bachelor about to enter the building, then looked at his sister and waved at her.

“Do you need help?” Questioned Michael earning a smile from the girl.

“If you don’t mind. There are still Nine in front of me,” Mentioned Bella. Michael nodded, then made his way to the lot to take a few laces to use on the next vehicle.

Inside the chapel, almost all seats were taken by the guests, that were invited to the ceremony. Today was the wedding day of Bebe Hart and Ethan Bunch. Two Sunset Vallians, who knew each other for many years, but only around their time at high school, became friends and developed feelings for each other. Six years long, they were in a relationship, until they decided to enter the eternal bond of matrimony. Both their families sat on the front row as common and were awaiting for the arrival of the bride.

By the front of the altar, the groom stood there together with his best man and good friend Parker Langerak facing the crowd together noticing, that only the Bachelor siblings were missing from the guests. Ethan had a small smile on his face and looked at Parker, who had moved away as well. Parker chuckled from seeing his friend, believing, that he was feeling anxious about it.

“Nervous?” Questioned Parker making the blonde shake his head. “Serious?”

“I’m just excited. I do feel a bit tensed, I admit, but at the same time I’m happy about it,” Answered Ethan. “I’ve been awake since the 5 and those hours have felt like an eternity to pass,”

“Typical for a wedding. You….I mean grooms don’t take that much time to look presentable for the wedding. The bride, on the other hand, take a lot of time. At least, what I heard from my mother on her last wedding. I was a kid on my first one. I barely remember anything about the time,” Mentioned Parker. “I’m sure the long waiting will pay off. You will see her come along the aisle along with her father. She will have her eyes glued on you, remember the first days of how you two got together and I’m sure you remember the best moments. I was struggling on my own with my homework,” Commented Parker making Ethan laugh.

“You know, I believe our split up for homework doing the homework together was the best thing to happen to the two of us. If you didn’t suggest me to take Bebe to the library we wouldn’t have figured out, how well we get along with our common interests,” Mentioned Ethan making Parker nod.

“Six years of dating. I envy you. How were you sure, that she was the one? I admit, I look at you two and believe, that you two were made for each other, but personally, how did you know that?” Questioned Parker curious making Ethan chuckle.

“The more time I was around her, the more it made me see, that she is the person I want to be with the rest of my life,” Stated Ethan.

“Call me dumb, but I have a hard time believing this,” Mentioned Parker. “Perhaps it’s related with my past moments when I played with the other girls at school. You know before you and Bebe became friends,”

“From what I remember, you never had a real attraction with any of the girls back then, right?”

“How old was I back then? 15, 16? I had come across many interesting girls, but I never went anywhere with it. I have from what I know never hurt anybody. River was perplexed from knowing my deeds didn’t hurt anyone. I did get her reason of questioning me about it, but I don’t know, I never thought about their feelings,”

“I think most of the girls you went after weren’t serious either or things just didn’t feel bad for them. I just found it incorrect,” Commented Ethan earning a nod from his friend, then observed Michael Bachelor come from the side of the chapel to meet up with the duo, then whisper into Ethan’s ear. “Hey, we’re supposed to see her inside the chapel,”

“I didn’t see her, I swear. I just saw the driver. She must be sitting in the back of the car. The driver was Christopher Steel, right?” Questioned the brunette making the blonde shrug his shoulder, while Parker nodded.

“Holly told me that,” Stated the very short-haired man making his best friend nod.

“Good,” Commented Ethan, then noticed, that his father-in-law sat on the bench passing his finger over his wine-red coat, then he bent down a little to hold eye contact with the man. “Mr. Hart, your daughter has arrived,” Noticed Ethan observing the man look back to see the door closed, then looked up at the blonde and shook his head.

“You might need some glasses, she’s not standing here,” Claimed Gus Hart making Ethan shake his head amused.

“No, Michael Bachelor just told me, she arrived in the car. She’s on the outside,” Added Ethan. “You should be out there to take her in,”

“Oh I didn’t know she arrived,” Apologized the father-in-law getting up from the bench to make his way to the exit.

Parker chuckled from seeing the man leave, then looked at his friend, who had a small smile on the face as well.

“You’re really patient concerning your in-laws. Heard so much from her and Holly about them,” Mentioned Parker making Ethan nod.

“You know, when you truly love somebody, you will be willing to go anywhere with that person,” Implied the groom making Parker nod.

“I see that,” Commented the raven-haired man, then placed his hands on his shoulders. “I will leave you now. Have a great start,” Wished Parker making the friend smile, afterward Parker went after Mr. Hart to return to his seat.

By the third row, his younger teenage sister Kaylynn sat on the right side in a long, light-grey dress with her hair tied up in a bun looking at her older brother returning. She smiled, then watched him sit down next to her and looked across him to see their bench mate River McIrish glimpse at the duo.

“He doesn’t seem nervous at all,” Commented River making Parker nod.

“He’s just a little bit. He’s happy about the day,” Said Parker.

“Darlene had been talking to me the past months about his wedding and that she was picked to be one of the bridesmaids. Only in the rehearsals. I hope things will go fine tonight,” Commented Kaylynn. “I understand why Mom asked Zelda to take the role,”

“Well, Holly said to not think about it. Even the best acts may have a little issue happening, but it got saved by them,” Mentioned the older brother.

“Your brother is right. All we need to do is follow the lead as we practiced and everything will go fine,” Mentioned River making the siblings nod.

“Is the act still at 8 pm?” Questioned Kaylynn making River shrug her shoulders. “I heard Lisa talk something about moving it further,”

“I think it’s in case things get delayed or we’re not sure with how the evening at the pier is organized,” Mentioned Parker. “I know it’s before the cutting of the cake,”

“We’re gonna discuss it later at the party,” Commented Holly turning around to look at the trio. “Darlene and Lisa had two different opinions,”

“Alright,” Commented Parker, then glimpsed at River who had answered as well.

“As long as they don’t end up arguing about it,”

“Interestingly, this is the first time I experienced the two fight. Darlene usually is involved in fights with Arlo. Lisa on the other hand is kind with her,” Commented Parker, then turned his head aside along with the crowd as the wedding theme had began to play inside the chapel and from the outside Gus Hart had entered together with his daughter.

The crowd admired the bride in the traditional, white dress trot the aisle slow accompanied by her father, eyeing him happy from being led to the next step of her life. Bebe moved her head to analyze the guests, who admired her glad, and lifted her hand at Kaylynn, who formed with her fingers a heart supporting the best friend’s future sister-in-law. Holly on the front seat gave her best friend two thumbs up, smiling brightly at the bride, and beside her Davy Linnell, had leaned his arms above the bench gazing at the bride as well, giving her a reassuring smile showing support. Bebe looked away from the crowd to look at her fiance standind by the altar admiring her with a charmed smile causing the bride to get flustered from seeing the groom awaiting her. The Harts arrived at the altar, and Ethan held out his hand to his fiance to be taken by him. Ethan beamed at the sight of his love interest and moved closer to her to talk to her.

“You look amazing,” Complimented the black-dressed man making Bebe smile bashfully at his comment.

“Thank you, you look amazing as well in that suit,” Confessed Bebe earning a smile from the blonde, who moved her hand gently to him and moved together with her to look at the front to face the priest, who had just come out with his ceremonial book.

“Dearly beloved, we have gathered here in the eyes of god and the community with the intention to bond Bebe Hart and Ethan Bunch in holy matrimony,”

Gus Hart sat down on the bench next to his wife, then glimpsed across at the Bunch parents, having eye contact with Jack Bunch, who smiled at the bride’s parents glad, then sensed his wife grab his hand and smiled at her husband.

“I’m so happy for my big brother,” Commented Darlene gazing at her parents, who nodded at their youngest daughter’s comment.

“Bebe and Ethan, have you come here to enter into marriage without coercion, freely and wholeheartedly?” Asked the priest the couple, standing on his front facing each other.

“I have,” Responded the pair in union.

“Are you prepared as you follow the path of marriage, to love and honor each other for as long as you shall live?” Questioned the gray-haired man.

“I am,”

“Psst, Parker…...are we taking Zelda’s car to the pier?” Whispered Kaylynn making Parker shrug his shoulders.

“Aunt Zelda asked, if it was okay for me to drive the car because she wore the dress” Mentioned Parker quietly.

“I just wanted to ask. Bella and Michael took the cab,” Mentioned Kaylynn.

“The cab?” Questioned Parker curious.

“There was something with the car and they had to order a cab,”

“Well, if they want they can come with us. It will then be Zelda, you, me, River Bella, and Mike…..no wait, we’re six now,”

“Oh, well let’s discuss this with them afterward. Someone will have enough space in the car,” Noticed the raven-haired girl making Parker nod, then River nudged him to get his attention.

“If you want, I can board with Holly,” Offered River. “You don’t have to be waiting for me,”

“We will find a solution, don’t worry. You don’t need to do that,” Noticed Parker earning a smile from the friend.

“Thanks for your concern,” Responded River placing her hand down accidentally squeezing his fingers, then she removed them away quickly looking surprised at the friend, who had taken his hand away. “Sorry,” Apologized the brunette, making the man snicker.

“I’m okay,” Responded Parker glimpsing at the brunette, then returned his face forward at the altar to see the couple hold hands while eyeing the priest.

“I, Ethan Bunch take you Bebe Hart to be my wife. I promise to be faithful to you, in good and in bad times, in sickness and health, to honor you all these days until the end of our time,” Avowed the groom taking the hand of the light-brunette woman to place the ring on her finger. Bebe followed her partner’s deed with her eyes enamored, then looked at the pillow, that held the last ring above it.

“I, BebeHart take you Ethan Bunch to be my husband. I promise to be faithful to you, in good and in bad times, in sickness and health, to honor you all these days until the end of our time,” Recited Bebe taking the hand of the blonde to put the ring on the ring finger as well, afterward both gave each other the hands with a big smile. Bebe notably had out of the two the biggest one.

The priest behind them chuckled from noticing the beautiful smile of the woman, then moved further to finalize the last part of the ceremony.

“In the eyes of our lord and our witnesses, I pronounce you husband and wife,” Stated the priest and the pairing shared their first kiss, now official as a married couple. The guests clapped at the reunion of the groom and the bride, followed by VJ Alvi whistling loudly, then laughed afterward making behind him the mother of Parker Langerak wide her eyes surprised.

Parker’s row from vice versa gazed in the direction of their former classmate, then River shook her head about his deed and shrieked as in front of her Davy Linnell had done the same, making his girlfriend Holly shake her head amused.

“Have you seen how our mother reacted?” Questioned Kaylynn earning a nod from her brother.

“Oh, that’s just typical from VJ. He’s done worse thought,” Responded Parker. “On the other hand, our Mom always finds something to criticize about others,”

“Yes, I know and I don’t think those times it was about people being similar to VJ. He takes the whole cake and I’m not saying this about all the stories you told me about him,” Mentioned the sister making Parker chuckle.

“Yes, I know. But you know, he, Ethan, and I have been the closest friends since pre-teenhood. We might not hang out with each other since both have Lisa and Bebe in their life, but this won’t break our friendship up,” Commented Parker earning a nod from his younger sibling and faced the altar again to see the newly-wed couple departed their lips from each other to face the clapping crowd with a smile, afterward Ethan wrapped his hands around the bride to lean closer to her for a kiss on the cheek, making her blush.
