Welcome to part 7/12 of our Marvel Injustice roster.

Guidelines:

There are 24 characters in the base game, 12 Heroes and 12 Villains. This doesn't include clone characters.

Cosmic and Multiversal Characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy or Spider-Man 2099 won't be added to keep the game grounded.

Anti-Heroes like Deadpool and Punisher also won't be added.

However, if some characters fit into the previous category, I'll consider them if they're a big enough deal in terms of history and importance to the storyline.

The storyline is based upon Marvel's AXIS Story, so with the exception of two characters everyone will have a hero and villain persona.

Enchantress: Since Loki was deemed as not villainous enough, I decided to tag in Enchantress.

Just finished his daily practice and he was in the middle of a meeting where other people were talking about his performance and making decisions for him.

biography: Everest was born in Austin, Texas, the middle child of five. There was some disconnect when it came to his siblings, because the two oldest were sons of his father's first wife who passed away, and the two youngest were twins to his newest wife. Leaving him to be the middle child of a mystery woman that no one has met, not even Everest. So it was a very common joke that he was just adopted.

His family was very affluent, which brought a lot of comfort to him. However, that wealth came with a lot of lessons of proper etiquette that didn't quite land with Everest like it did with his siblings. The others were bright and studious, doing everything to make themselves and their family proud. While on the contrary, Ever was very rambunctious. He wanted to be in all of the athletics he could, took a liking to thrill rides at a very young age, and had a deep love for racing. They thought that was something normal for a young kid until they realized he wanted to be in those cars, and begged his parents to take him karting all the time.

Of course, if he wanted to continue his passion, Everest had to be good in school. And he did just that. Though it was never explicitly stated that he had to be the one doing his own work. It's not like he was forcing other people to do it, but he did find that a little smile and a please had some of his classmates volunteering to do the book reports or his part of the group project that didn't have a desire of doing. But it's not like he was coasting through school either. He could do his work if he wanted to, he just asked for help. Other than that, he was a social butterfly who participated in a lot of extra curricular. It's not his fault he was popular.

Once he graduated high school, he gave college the good ol' college try, but after his first year he thought it was better for him to drop out and focus on his career since it was finally taking off. Ever since then, he was thrust into a world of glamour and social hierarchy that he somehow has been readying himself for a while now. He was making a lot of money through his career, but his image soon became the biggest focus of it. Possibly shadowing the racing he loved so much. And although he knew he should happy about the success he found from this, he was conflicted. Still, he smiled through this inner turmoil and tried to enjoy this new life, even though what was important to him was the thrill of the race.

Well, that was until he came across a new type of adrenaline rush.

Prompt: "Stars"

Synopsis: Loki and Amora get away from the chaos of life and find a moment of peace on a grassy field, looking up at the stars.

A/N: So obviously I haven't been super pungent with all my winter prompts, however I do really want to try to do as many as possible so some that are general winter may be posted in January as well? But Christmas/holiday themed ones will be before Christmas hopefully. I'm making an effort here, guys, but I will not let myself burnout.

The sky was lit up with billions of twinkling stars. Amora’s head rested against Loki’s lap, and he played with her golden hair. They were in the middle of nowhere, where they didn’t have to answer to anyone, and didn't have to abide by useless rules. They were free and at peace.

It didn’t matter that they would inevitably end up going back to the land of rules and consequences eventually. All that mattered were these stolen moments they had together, gazing up at the sky above and not worrying over anything.

Loki looked at the wonder in Amora’s eyes and smiled. She caught Loki looking and stuck her tongue out, causing him to chuckle.

A firefly lit up, and the couple turned their eyes to watch as it flew through the air, blinking in and out. There were several more around, their green lights flashing. They looked like moving green stars, although they were much closer than the real stars in the sky.

“You know, there’s a legend that the fireflies are the souls of the dead.” Amora said, and Loki hummed. Amora was well-versed in all different myths from various cultures. Her powers aided her as she explored different areas of mythology, even those that weren’t true. Being a goddess, she had relative knowledge of which myths held some truth and which did not, yet she still learned both.

Loki strummed his fingers through Amora’s hair. His fingernails were painted black, Amora’s handywork. They always seemed to have matching black nails. “Do you believe it?”

Amora tilted her head slightly, considering the question, before coming up with a witty response. “Are you asking me if I believe the Allfather is wrong in saying we go to Valhalla, Fólkvangr, or Hel after death?”

Loki laughed at her remark, shaking his head. “I don’t know? Do you think that he is wrong?”

She grinned up at him. “I would never!” A chilly breeze blew by, and Loki conjured a blanket for her. She frowned.

“Could’ve done that myself.” She said, and Loki rolled his eyes.

Amora adjusted the blanket on herself nonetheless. “I know you could, my love.” Loki said, relishing in the warmth of her body.

The fireflies flew by again, and Amora finally answered his question from before. “I don’t know. They certainly could be. Beautiful bugs they are, flying free through the air.”

Amora wanted to be free. Her and Loki, free to do whatever they wanted, wherever they wanted, was a beautiful thought. Unfortunately, it wasn’t realistic at the moment. Maybe one day, they would be as free as a firefly.

“Although, their lifespan isn’t very long. I don’t want to believe that the souls only last a couple of months before disappearing completely.” She said, and Loki nodded.

“Perhaps they go to their final destination after having a month or so of freedom to roam around.” He proposed, and Amora smiled.

Her hair blew around in the wind. “I like that idea.” She said, and they relished a few more moments before turning back to the chaos that was their life.

i heard you wanted loredumping in your askbox as well. so i will explain my tav and durge's names for you!

Armos Auvrylyl

it's strong and i like alliteration. "Armos" is not a drow name in the slightest, which works as a rejection of his lolthite heritage. instead it's a combination of the finnish words "armo" and "armas", meaning "divine grace" and "loved one" respectively.

"Auvrylyl" on the opposite side of the spectrum is very much a drow family name, roughly translating to "blood of the sword". bloods and swords are very important in eilistraeean customs.

Oleander Everspring

"Oleander" is a tall and very poisonous flower, signifying beauty but also danger. it's also featured in many urban legends and stories, perfect for a bard.

"Everspring" is a halfling surname, as they were raised by a halfling couple. as spring is the season of rebirth and change and ever can mean eternity, it could mean "eternal change" or "always changing". though since they've forgotten this name, so have they forgotten to change.

Love this, like for real i love when their is thought behind the names (most of mine, bc i suck at naming, are just ooh this sounds nice 😅)

Love how while armos isnt a drow name it still sounds elvish to me and makes me think of a comics series from here called amoras (i will admit this is because i read it wron at first, thanks dyslexia). And we do love a good alliteration in this house as well.

We do also love names that are picked from beautifully poisonous flowers. My preference does go to belladonna though.

I just thumbed through a few chapters! I saw the animatic the creator did to "It's Tough to be a God" but I didn't know it was tied to a webcomic :0!!

Tears of a Mermaid (Loki Love Story Ch.8)

''Amora! i know it was you witch'' Loki snapped as he entered her view in front of her cell, only the gold shield barrier between them as she lazily sat up from her bed.

''what are you talking about?'' she said innocently, hiding a small smile but curious as of which trick he had found of hers.

''you know tampering with dark magic is dangerous, even for us sorcerers. what do you know of the being called Mara?'' Loki asked carefully as his eyes narrowed from under his helmet,hoping to look more intimidated if his full armor was on and stiffened once she smirked.

''now i haven't heard of that name in centuries'' Amora laughed and got up to stand before him ''but i promise you my prince, that was the only time i had used such magic'' she confessed innocently.

''what did you do to her?''

''why a curse of course, one must practice on something if thou is to learn'' she smirked and played with a lock of her golden hair ''of no family, she was easily to be forgotten with no possible connection of detection.''

''and yet here we are.'' Loki said through gritted teeth. centuries? she had cursed her that many years ago? ''..what was the spell?''

''and you expect me to tell you?'' she laughed

''i expect you will if you wish to be set free sooner.''

''and why shall i take your word on that?'' she scoffed.

''because by all the times we have worked together, i have never lied nor betrayed you.'' he said carefully as she seemed to analyze him with her piercing green eyes and she smirked at the memory.

''i remember it well, we used to be so close back then'' she flirted, hovering a hand just away from the barrier so it fizzled a little, threatening to shock her if made contact. her eyes challenged him before giving him an eye roll ''fine, the curse was simple, but making it close to permanent was what required the dark arts'' she explained and lounged back on her bed. ''she was a simple creature, of no family, so no risk of anyone searching for her and thus, no traces back to me.''

Loki clenched his fists as he listened but remained emotionless.

''i figured the mermaid race had died out after the long ago war and thought it possible to perhaps bring on back or- create one.''

''why?''

''the tear.''

Loki gazed at her intently, seeing he wasn't the only one to know of this legend and let her continue with a gut feeling that it will only get worse if she did.

''the tear is said to grant immense power, and when life is soaked in water- plants, creatures and even gods, whats to stop me from bending one to my whim? i'm immensely impressed that you haven't tried it yourself considering how badly you want the thrown.'' she taunted and he looked away. ''..she was merely a test subject, and upon transformation she lost all memories of who she was when she was on land, not many memories but just enough to adapt and start a new life on what she is now. the curse was merely the transformation, and after she escaped me, i moved on from my little project.''

''and what about the forced transformation if she is to be on land again?''

''the curse is bound to what she is now, if to long on land, the curse forces her back to what she is, call it nature fighting to keep what is, in a way..''

''so she doesn't remember who she was and is bound to the waters..-how do you remove the curse?'' Amora gave him a smirk, her eyes already telling him that knowledge didn't come for free and he sighed. ''i'll double the time that's going to be knocked off from your already given information..''

knowing each other well, they knew that was all that was going to be offered, and the Enchantress relented ''..the curse can be lifted by the same way it was given, but its bloody dangerous, even for I. after centuries, it might have found itself permanent..''

''might is just what i'm going to have to work with.'' Loki sighed, determination in his eyes as he straightened and turned to leave.

''Loki..a tear of a mermaid is what you need..if she is turned back human, that may have only been your chance at getting the thrown..'' Amora said quietly and he looked at her over his shoulder.

''…thank you..''

Loki moved his food around mindlessly with his fork as he half listened to what his family was talking about. normally he ignored them, but Thor seemed to be more enthusiastically today so his voice was a bit harder to drown out, making Loki a little bit more irritable by the minute. seeing this buffoon babble on and always messing up things when they ventured to other worlds could potentially put their own realm at risk. hell, he already almost started a war with Jotenheim, was it selfish of him to not do anything when he had a chance now to stop his brother? after all, it was for the good of Asgard..but this was also Mara..

Loki looked up and past everyone so he could see the sunset disappear once again, unable to see her for yet another day because of his family's close suspicions. to close, which was why he had to remain and act normal with every day evenings with them so he wasn't frequently disappearing..he'd only hope that Mara wouldn't turn up again like she had, putting herself at danger if she was out of water. gods- she didn't even know, this whole time she thought she was actually a mermaid- with no memory of what she once was..and yet she remained so innocent, positive and caring..

why hadn't she told him about the Enchantress? she must have the memories of escaping her.. perhaps they weren't to different of being cursed..of course he wasn't curses but he saw it as one as he looked down at his hand, the middle of his calm threatening to turn blue as he felt the chill on his skin.

''my son?''

Odin's voice snapped him out of his thoughts as his eyes looked up ''yes?''

''your silence has been plentiful for the past few days, is everything well?'' he asked, sounding surprisingly concerned to Loki as he kept a calm expression.

''everything is fine, not much has happened to really give out anything to talk about.''

''except a young maiden'' Thor teased, earning a death glare from Loki as Odin raised a brow.

''you have met someone?''

''we are merely just friends, we've just been spending most evenings together to get acquainted.'' Loki cut himself off, knowing he said to much as he glanced at his mother who listened intriguingly.

''so that's where you've been, usually disappearing around the same time'' Odin noted and Loki shifted in his seat a little.

''he is young my love, it reminds me of the time of when you used to slip away from the palace so that we could spend our time together'' Frigga smiled and Loki relaxed, glad his mother had shifted Odin's focus off of him as they began reminiscing. yet his eyes shot at Thor who continued to eat thoughtlessly and his anger boiled once more in his chest. he almost blew Mara's cover by bringing her up, he might be the very reason she might be in danger some day.

Loki's eyes glanced back down to his hand, allowing his hand to turn blue under the table as he took a deep breath. if his brother risked even a maiden's life in danger, how could he possibly be put in charge of Asgard? he was much surprised that the whole nine realms weren't destroyed under his protection. if Loki ruled, he would put an end to it and cast out any risk of danger for all..especially Mara..but what did he have?

he was stuck here, unable to use the Biefrost. after his little attack on Midgard, Odin had him in the cells for quite a long time, but under probation, he was allowed to roam Asgard without venturing to far, let alone entering other worlds. no doubt even Heimdal kept an eye on him from time to time…at least Mara was never mentioned..

he had to know. tomorrow, same time..he would ask her the truth, and willingly..this could be his chance to rule..

for the good of Asgard of course..

Zumi: “Blaise. Blaise. Blaise. Blaise. What’s the joke? You forgot the joke. You forgot the pickles! Blaise. Blaise you forgot the pickles on the sandwich.”

Amora: “Uh.. hm. Well..? I guess, mm. The funniest thing I can think of, uh… I originally came to Earth hoping to save intelligent life found here, and uh. Yeah, looking around now, um, I think I made a mistake.”

Zumi: “It’s a good thing not to be an Earthling, lemme tell ya. Chat, are you gonna SAY ANYTHING about that? We came through a portal. I can’t say that much about you guys. She ain’t wrong.”

Navi: “Uh, my joke is that League of Legends does not cause mental illness.”

Zumi: “That is a VERY good joke”

Blaise: “Dear, dear tallest of us all, Lord Dokumi. I must admit I think I had a brain fart. Can I try that joke again? Okay. Um. Why was everyone upset with the car built by Microsoft? It didn’t have Windows~”

Thor: Son of Asgard #8 (2004, Marvel)

This series chronicles the early days of Thor, Sif, Loki and Amora during their days in school. It’s filled with drama and heartbreak. Thor seems to be oblivious to the advances of the girls who are vying for his love. It’s all very dull. There are several pages with no dialogue that’s hard to understand what’s happening then several pages filled with so many word balloons that it gets tedious. Thor looks like a girl, Loki looks like an ogre and the girls look the same. I dislike most everything about this book.

My Rating: 2 (the cover is nice but hard to photograph well)

Speedball #7 (1989, Marvel)

Robbie Baldwin was transformed by a laboratory accident into the bouncing masked marvel Speedball. He’s trying to keep it secret but it’s hard when his kinetic energy makes him bound around the room. (Imagine what would happen if his teenage hormones get the better of him…)

Steve Ditko, a legend, plotted and drew this junk. Yeah, I hate calling it junk because I really admire Mr. Ditko and all he’s done for the comic medium. This is not his best effort. I like the Speedball character and his costume but this issue is really awful. (I hate what later creators did to Speedball, making him a dreadful character named Penance.)

My Rating: 2 ( that high only for admiration of Ditko)

she always loved exploring old ruins with her father before she passed at 10,she used to be quite the trouble maker but she became more quiet when her father passed away as they were close, daylins father actually had differebt beliefs than most elves, which was called insane for, he loved exploring old runes, he also believed the legends of the elvhen gods where a load of halla shite and he also believed fenharel not to be a villain. So he was just crazy old Havren to most, Her father had passed away when she was 10 due to a fight that broke out between an invading human camp, but she did get what she knows of the elven gods from him, she was definantly excited and worried her father was mostly correct about the old Elvhen history, Daylin also doesnt quite blame the humans though, even as a kid she did feel that they got to close to human borders so they lashed out. Daylin was also one of their best hunters in her clan and often led huntsShe has a younger sister Amora, shes 5 years younger and the keepers 1st and a fairly decent healer and fighter, she would definantly be interested in Cullen, Though sadly Amora actually died in the Haven event, she was helping her sister with Corypheous and he ended up killing her trying to save daylin, Daylin carried her sister through the mountain pass, but she ended up passing at their small camp, 10 years before Inquisition, she was newly married and newly pregnant by this time, her husband died in the 5th blight, later and she had her son Ta'lan 6 months after her husbands death. she wore braids but hated them eventually got rid of them, she didnt think she could move o after her husbands death but having a lot in common with solas and him being great with her son and willing to teach him magic definantly won her over, Solas taught Daylin and Ta'lan some anchient elven, she could also tell him off but she probably wouldnt, plus she lets talan hit bull with a stick, so everyone is happy and Ta'lan is a young mage, solas was teaching him magic along with rift magic as well, She does have a scar on her hip, got it at 5, she and her dad were in some ruins whe they were attacked by undead, she barely remembers but she was pretty injured, it also is a reason her mother tried forbaying her from exploring, but they butt heads often and arent close sadly, Both daylin and her mother Moria are very stubbon and refused to elaborate when daylin wanted to go explore, trying to make her not want to go, made daylin just grow mkre distant, Often times they are seen argueing but if daylin sees her son around she stops and leave the confrontation as she doesnt want to be the mother hers was, and she takes Ta'lan with her exploring if shes kinda scouted first for dangers, Daylin is a very calm reserved person from when she was a kid, very kind but also weary, Daylin is not a crowd person, and being in the palace for Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts full of Shem, really made her uncomfortable, like even val rouyox was her first timw in a major shem city and wasnt even that crowded, the orlesians were definantly a different breed of Shem for her to deal with, Daylin definantly got decent at human formalities due to visiting small villiages for trade, but the orlesians were a different breed of shem, Daylin juat made sure no fights broke out, she was a peacekeeper of sorts, though she often traded her meats and furs she had left for stuff for her son, like toys, clothing, and some shem treats he enjoyed, Shes ok woth spiders but undead are not hee favourite, probably the repressed memory of how she got that hip scar, She is a dual daggers rogue, prefers the dual blade daggers and likes having someone at distance to surpress fire like solas and varric with one other like blackwall, cass or bull on frontline with her, shes a decent archer as she was her clans best hunter, her arm prostetic is a dwarven made Lyrium powered arm also made of Nevarite metal, and she did obtain Solas jawbone necklace after tresspasser at their "final" meeting before he left, he gave it to her
