Holy shit I swear some people make me want to launch myself into the sun.
For the last time, Helluva Boss is about Blitzø’s relationships, not IMP missions. Viv and Brandon have both said that numerous times in interviews and at cons.
Blitzø’s biggest and most complicated relationship right now is with Stolas, OF COURSE that’s going to be the main focus of a good majority of episodes. If you don’t like that then don’t watch the show.
I’ve seen people say they’ve liked these shorts more than the last few episodes of the show because it’s “like the show was in the beginning.” But hello??? It’s called character development. If the only thing the show was about were these little missions IMP goes on, you would get bored! Not having character development or character relationships would get stale so fast!
I swear media literacy is at an all time low.

Just a quick reminder!
There is no wrong way to enjoy a media.
Whether you are in it for the story, the characters, the gameplay, the community, whatever your priority may be— there is no wrong way to love a piece of work.
Yes, even if you make "inaccurate" headcanons for characters you love.
Yes, even if you are more into the aesthetics than any deeper meaning.
Yes, even if you only engage with it through playthroughs or video analysis other secondary sources.
In the end, you and all the other fans are together in loving and supporting a piece of work. If somebody enjoys the content in a way you personally don't want to see, simply block and move on! The only "wrong" way to be a fan is to be one who is malicious and hurtful to others and to real people.

it's really a shame I have to sell 40+ of my life hours every week for poverty wages instead of spending all my time and energy on dozens of creative and technical pursuits with unlimited resources

People need to learn the difference between actual criticsm of the book community and something that is just personally annoying to them.
Some person: Hyper-consumerism and the overconsumption of books is objectively bad
Me: I agree, and while there's nothing wrong with owning books, I think people should be more mindful over how ma--
Some person: Also, I'm sick of people only sticking to the genre they like! How dare they read something they enjoy! It's not like they're reading as a hobby. They should use trash YA novels as a starting point and then move on to actual good literature because they're not gaining anything meaningful from reading YA
Me: You've lost me

For anyone keeping track (no one), I have started watching the first Avengers film (MCU not the 60s TV show) but only while eating lunch so it's gonna take a while. So far Nick Fury has been assembling the Avengers (the film was initially released in the UK as Avengers Assemble - because of that 60s TV show - but it's not called that on D+ so I'm calling it what the Americans called it, just FYI) even though there's not yet anything for them to avenge as That Suit Guy (j/k I know his name too!!) isn't dead yet, and now they're on THE FUCKING VALIANT FROM DR WHO and I assume we're gonna continue assembling for a while as they're not all there yet.
MEANWHILE Loki (who is neither an alligator nor a woman in this???) is in a SECRET UNDERGROUND LAIR with a bunch of his stans who are... idk something technobabble that involves irridium and anti-protons. He is there looking for the tesseract on behalf of ???? who I know will be revealed 47 films from now as... no, wait, it wasn't, was it? That was just announced on a website or something? So it could be LITERALLY ANYONE. The Avengers (in-progress) also seem to be after that thing, but I have already forgotten why everyone is wanting it, assuming it was mentioned (it probably was).
Thor hasn't shown up yet, but Arrows Hawkeye is working as a Loki Stan and there's Steve Rogers and THE HULK and The Only Woman One, whose power is that she's a Cold War assassin (??) and I think this one is the film where she gets called a cunt (!) and honestly I am not sure which of the men she's getting officially shipped with, I think Arrows Hawkeye though? Fairly sure, as the alternative is that a man and a woman like each other as people but not in a lusty way, which would never happen obviously. (Hey I may ship mostly het* pairings but I don't always like it!)
Based on the Valiant (if u don't know who she is get da hell out of here!) I am guessing that the film ends with Loki dying in Thor's arms romantically but then I remembered that I know it can't because one of Loki got kidnapped from... either the end of this film or the start of the next one or POSSIBLY just from a later film's time-travel bit (???) but like... maybe they've edited this film secretly and I was right after all? But nobody else has watched it on Disney + recently so nobody knows yet? IT COULD HAPPEN.
Not sure what to make of this film so far, a lot's been going on yet also not much has been going on, and the one I like best so far (Suit Guy) is gonna die (NOT EVEN IN THOR'S ARMS ROMANTICALLY) and god Iron Man really hasn't aged well now that we have that one tech billionaire being a twat in public all the time to remind us what such people tend to be like. WHERE IS THOR????
*I say het but everyone in everything is bisexual, I know this because I thought of it and announced it on tumblr and will now say "I don't make the rules" to make it an objective FACT. I don't make the rules!!!

doing streams is honestly Such a good way to develop your confidence in public speaking within the comfort and privacy of your own home. also no matter what you set up and test out beforehand, something Will screw up because technology senses fear, leaving you with no choice but to chill and roll with it and realise how pointless getting embarrassed over minor things is bc you'll solve it somehow. you get to record your memories and experiences of things, and you get to socialise.

i sorta hc that shuichi is the only member of the polycule who can cook or bake... he's not amazing at either but he's pretty good. i think kiibo could follow a recipe but he just hasn't practiced very much yet, and kaede has never tried because what if some freak accident in the kitchen burned her hands? what if she hurts a finger chopping vegetables? she can't take that chance
BUT i think she and kiibo should try at least once... maybe they make some cookies or little pastries for all of them to enjoy together (not kiibo though LMAO)
they would be so silly about it, they get themselves some nice kitchen aprons just for the fun of it... and both of them spent a lot of time beforehand, total coincidence, researching interesting types of cookies to make and recipes they thought would be fun because they're both So into this and got really excited and focused on making The Perfect Little Treat... and they come together like oh haha this is so silly of me but i had all these ideas... wait no that sounds great you're so right YEAH LET'S DO IT

people always ask me if im going to do something with my art money-wise and it's like... not every hobby artist is destined to make money off it.
it's a huge task to get noticed online, let alone make money. it's like having another job. you have to promote and push yourself and your image. it's like running a business. and there is no way in hell i'm ever going to do that. im tired enough from working full time already. and even when i take time off... i still dont feel like i have enough time to sit down, relax, and work on my art.
and sometimes... people just want to do art as a hobby. not everyone wants to make money off it. and that's okay.

you want to know what annoys me about that crowd of readers who say "listening to audio books isn't real reading"?
It's that it's the same goddamm argument when eBooks became a thing!
Traditional readers didn't think reading eBooks was real reading because you're just looking at a screen or that you don't know what it's like to be a real reader unless you were lugging a hardback around in your bag all day long and your wittle fingies got destroyed by papercuts.
it's the same fucking thing.

man idk what it is but i swear i woke up one day and was like. i don’t have it within me to be upset about media choices anymore. if you like something i don’t like then i’m glad you’re getting something different than me and if you hate something i love that’s chill dude. glad we’re all getting different nutrients from different colors and noises on the screen and you don’t have to share mine. if it’s not actively harming anyone irl then ✌🏻. i do not know how long this attitude will last (and i know it will end) but i’m so enjoying the vibes.

I don’t know why I thought of this, but I always think it’s so interesting how positivity memes in the RPC could be a double edged sword. Like if you’re unfamiliar, it’d be these memes where you could send symbols to an ask to express certain thoughts about the writer in question OR you’d just have to say what you thought of someone. And it was a cute idea to have people support each other in the RPC.
But man it really sucks when you have to watch the entire dash get them and you don’t get any lol. Stuff like that starts to feel like a popularity contest instead. I stopped reblogging them because 1) I very rarely got any (not to say I never did because I did every once in a while if I reblogged one and I appreciated that) and 2) it fucked with my self confidence so much.
I’m not somebody who has confidence issues at all. I don’t think I’m hot shit but generally I know where I stand skill-wise with writing. So doing that invites unnecessary questions about whether I was actually a good writer or if I was liked or not. To me, validation memes kinda do more harm than good, even if they mean well yknow? It was weird. I don’t want to be jealous of other writers.
