You couldn’t take it anymore. You were so worried for Harry. He was your best friend and nonetheless, something obviously was going on with him.

Sure, this could be because of the amount of pressure he has to stop Voldemort. But there had to have been something else.

Harry, was a introvert indeed, but this bad and distant? That didn’t seem like himself. When you spot him, You secretly follow. Maybe this was stalking or out of pure obsession, you weren’t obsessed with him, just in love, that was all.

You only followed his footsteps as you went to see where he went. Maybe you shouldn’t have. After all, curiosity kills the cat. But this was out of concern for your best friend, who you’ve grown up with pretty much.

You were doing the right thing weren’t you? Harry suddenly turns around and you hide. You almost had been caught. Almost. You were scared of what would happen if you were caught by Harry. Especially since he was more aggressive. That wasn’t like him. This whole situation was odd itself.

You probably would find that it wasn’t as concerning as you thought it was, or completely different to the scenario in your mind. You hoped it wasn’t the scenario you pictured in your mind.

Calm down, you’re overthinking, You thought. And yet, I feel drawn to this whole thing. What’s wrong with me? Am I truly becoming obsessed?

You were more than filled with self doubt, but you prioritized helping Harry with whatever he needed. Of course, only if it was good. Not if his intentions were corrupt.

You weren’t like that at all. And when you finally stopped where Harry stopped, but hiding a bit further so he didn’t see you, you didn’t find anything interesting, much to your dismay but relief as well.

You chuckle softly, for a moment you thought he was working with Voldemort. How silly of you to think such things.

You begin walking back to your dormitory, it should’ve been a short and swift walk, if you didn’t bump into someone.

Imma probably just call all the Dad versions of the obey me squad a Timeskip AU and they’re all just getting on with their lives. Okay to address this dumpster fire. I've got many messages (and I send my thank yous' to everyone who took their time to screenshot those and send them to me) and the accusations are that I apparently stole very obvious concepts and wrote something suggestive about a teenager.

I won't post the screenshots but I've been accused of stealing content like hubull(?) whatever that is, stray cat au and the infamous pervy!141 au and let me tell you this. I truly regret that you, simonrileyscockring, couldn't have messaged me like an adult and openly talk to me about this since I have a very open policy about messaging me and it really pains me that you've resorted to spreading rumors about me.

The thing is, I've never written anything about a 'hubull', I don't even know what that is and if you're talking about minotaur type of thing been there done that with Childe like 8 months ago, and stray cat!au and pervy! au? Well guess what, I've been writing about that since the dawn of time, waaay before the CoD era of this blog and back when there was Genshin here, I even have a full length one-shot about stray cat Ajax and many thirsts about him and with the pervy!au is literally the very same thing, been there done that and it was way more nasty too, CoD only spread my wings lol

And guess what? This blog was basically active since July last year and the vast majority of those concepts were written in that timeline. Aegon is a fuckboy from Tik Tok and most of his followers are thirsty teenage girls. No, despite him being an asshole, he doesn't take advantage of that because he knows they're still kids. He rather seeks one-night stands on Instagram while flirting with women in the DMs. I also have a feeling he'd be into women older than him. He loves a good milf. Yes, he would be a prankster but he'd also make gaming videos. Everything teenage boys like, too. So, he's one of those content creators who are kinda trapped with a teenage audience lol However, I don't think he'd be massively popular because it requires time and patience, meanwhile Aegon is lazy as fuck. He would also lose a bunch of heartbroken teenage followers after posting his videos with you.

Helaena is a Tumblr girlie 100% but, once again, I don't think she'd be popular at all. Plenty of blogs posting cottagecore aesthetics + bugs are rarely anyone's cup of tea. She wouldn't care, though, because she's not doing it for the notes. And she would have some online friends from Tumblr who were her only friends for a long time (I can relate lol)

Aemond blocking Aegon on social media is so true, omg! And yeah, he totally wouldn't post anything or he'd have like three posts on a private Instagram account (of his dog Vhagar). All would have sweet comments from Alicent. On Facebook he would have a screenshot from some cartoon as a profile picture. He's secretive but he also doesn't want to gather even more attention than usual. But, yes, for his girl he would change a bit. He'd let you post a picture with him once in a while and maybe, eventually, he'd change his Facebook picture to the one of you and him. He's also the type to have his sweetheart's picture as a Facebook header. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Aemond had a Tumblr blog, too.

Alicent would have an Instagram only to follow her kids (and their girlfriends) and she always leaves cringe but sweet comments and she's posting things like her kids' pets, flowers in the garden etc. and the pics aren't edited and they're often out of focus. On Facebook she would share memes all the time because she's bored at home and she doesn't have much else to do. She would also spam her kids' messengers with links to some memes and scam articles from Facebook ("You're only wearing black? Find out what it means" @ Aemond for example). Oh, and she would think Aemond is super mean for blocking Aegon and keeps telling him to unblock his brother because she thinks this silly thing is a symptom of them hating each other for real or something like that (she's read somewhere that young people treat social media too seriously).

by stardust and moonlight by @imsfire2 is a magical fantasy fic where cassian is cursed to live by day as a wolf except when the moon is out, and he stumbles upon witch jyn's house. it's a beautiful love story and a beautiful story in general.

I’d love to hear your favourite headcanons for Chrom/Robin in Fire Emblem 👀💜

Hello friend! Thanks for this ask! As many know, my favourite ship from Fire Emblem Awakening (and probably the entire franchise) is Chrobin! Male or female Robin, it doesn't matter to me. Sadly, I don't have many head canons for them. However, I have some individual character head canons for them. M34GS said it's fine for me to talk about those in place.

Also, I'm going to talk both canon ideas and modern AU ideas.

My head canons about Chrobin + some character head canons

Chrom and Robin are an Adorable Couple / Sickeningly Sweet

Chrom is already a himbo (see: him canonically eating an unpeeled orange) and a fantastic leader. Couple that with Robin's tactical mind and thoughtfulness, and I think these two are an adorable couple. They're the kind who are always thinking of one another, checking up on their well-being, and offering to help. Acts of service are probably their go-to ways to show affection as both are busy people.

This also ties into a joke I had with ObscureReference where if this is modern AU, Chrom is the one live tweeting at some sort of gala how much he misses Robin and wants to leave to be with them. They accidentally spawn the internet Screaming about "Relationship Goals" and "Get yourself a spouse who -insert whatever Chrom and Robin are doing to publicly display their love and affection to one another-" memes.

(Also, the way they interacted in Engage?? Just staring into one another's eyes the entire flipping time?? Their cut scene with Lucina? We get it, you're in LOVE. And speaking of spin off series, I am STILL screaming over their Valentine Alt. Duo Chrom? More like Married Couple Chrobin LOL.)

Chrom and Robin are Super Devoted parents

Due to both of their upbringings being less than ideal (Chrom relying on Emmeryn as a guiding figure rather than their dad. Robin's father being... yeah you know... a worshipper of Grima), I think they fear being bad parents. Especially with the knowledge of the bad timeline. Anyways, I think this means Chrom and Robin try their best to be great parents to Lucina and Morgan. Canonically this means making sure they have the childhood they were denied in the bad timeline. In a modern AU this means being involved in their lives, such as taking them to Lucina's soccer games or Morgan's science fairs, etc.

Modern AU idea only: Robin is lowkey possessed by Grima

Another joke I have with ObscureReference, we are both loving the idea of Robin being possessed by Grima. They share a body in a similar style to Itadori and Sukuna from JJK. Except in this joke, Grima is like a surly cat who Demands Worship and Attention, so basically a mild inconvenience. Robin is possessed by Grima? Yeah, old news to everyone. They just take Robin spewing black miasma out of his mouth with a shrug.

Chrom runs warm

There isn't too much to this one. I think Chrom runs very warm and is perfect for Robin to snuggle and cuddle.

Class 1A Boys + music they listen to (PART 2)

There's always that ONE person who is like a parent when it comes to his whole class and music making sure it's "school appropriate" and that would be no other than the class rep, Iida.

Has a playlist for literally his life routine lol (study, relaxing, outings, running in the rain in his retro raincoat 😂,etc.). I feel like he would listen to like 90's music, classic rock (his fav artist is Foo Fighters for sure) he doesn't mind playing his stuff every now and then but he's busy most of the time preparing for class. nerd lol.

May sound shocking but he likes SOME rap but it's all old school rap/hip-hop like Biggie, Ice T, Usher, MC Hammer but he only listens to it outside of U.A though because he doesn't want "taint his image of class rep". He tried trying new school rap and..let's say he'll just stay where he is (he almost got hurt BUT that's for another story!)

The only classmate that is so chill with almost every genre of music is Sero. Even songs in different languages and more exotic genres like nudisco, jazzfunk, and french house (which are his favorites, cause it's a rarity he cherishes). He would play japanese funk while he drives down the road JUST for the ✨aesthetic✨ (future au idea). Dua Lipa, Kali Uchis, Doja Cat, Rosalia, JIAFEI just any other artist that sings in another language other than english he'll know. And he sings it so well but has no idea what a lick of it means well except for japanese.

Is not scared of talking about it to any of his classmates and actually persuading them to give it a try or if he plays it on his bluetooth speaker before class starts and then one of his classmates asks him the next day for ex: Tokoyami asks him "Hey Sero, what was that techo like song were you playing yesterday, for some reason it's in my head." and then the tape boi will go through his recently played songs from yesterday (he's a yt music kinda guy tbh). Then basically almost everybody is interested in what he has in store next

In other words he's the one who always brings his speaker to class but is respectful and plays it before class even starts, he's an early bird.

Denki, is the twin of Sero cool with any kind of music but leans more into the weebcore/rap category. He most likely will play weeb music in his dorm room, the usual anime openings and ending theme songs with a dorky smile on his face humming along while reading manga.

Is the aux cord GOD, will never disappoint the Bakusquad with any music he plays in the car he'll play some Marshmello and everyone would get littt🔥🔥🔥 or some nostalgic jpop to sing awfully off tune to to piss off Bakugo ofc.

Fun Fact: The whole Bakusquad got kicked out of his car at least five times singing terribly lmaooooo

let's assume this is a zuko-esque au where they rehab Ben like a particularly troublesome shelter cat and he's able to regain the trust of everyone else. Like Finn's arc but more hardcore considering *gestures to Kylo's backstory lol*. HCs under the cut!

okay first off...he has a really nice smile. when he smiles with his teeth, his eyes crinkle at the corners. his whole face warms and he kinda ducks his head. naturally this means he would rather be executed than ever allow a living soul to see it

his laugh sneaks up on him. he's all about maintaining control and composure but unfettered joy always just blows past his defenses. He's a "HA!" and then silent, muffled laughter kinda guy <3

idk why but i feel in my spirit that if he giggles, he hiccups. its rare for him to giggle but i think he gets stuck in it and its cute.

part one of ben rehabilitation project: getting this guy some normal clothes. he starts dressing more casually. he's still like an awkward, angry duckling, but he seems much more approachable. He washes his hair (poe sources good curl care for him to get some volume back in that mop)

For the first while of defecting to the Resistance, he's sorta a dark shadow. Doesn't talk, doesn't leave his room, etc. But as he does start to follow Finn, Poe, and Rey around, he does notice their closeness. The casual touch. He envies it.

It takes a little while, but slowly Rey starts including him in on jokes. Finn and Poe are slower to forgive, often making jokes at his expense, but...Ben's treacherous flares of temper start to subside. He gets used to quietly listening and smiling but knows better than to assume he's included. Shadowing them becomes a gift.

Ben's not sure when Poe and Finn start talking to him and acknowledging he's there, but he absolutely does notice Poe jabbing him in the ribs for not 'paying attention'. He passes it off as being startled but he can feel Rey's mind hovering at the edge of his own, keen as ever, like Ben Solo I Know What You Are (ticklish)

Finn, Poe, and Rey deliberate for a week about how exactly to go about this (Ben gets cagey. why are they whispering?) and eventually Poe is just like. look. i've got credits on this. you ticklish?

i am team 'Ben goes completely red when flustered'. just top to bottom imperial red. Poe asks him this and he turns into a fucking tomato. gives the world's most unconvincing no. and it is Rey who (very gently) proves him wrong, thus opening the floodgates to bully him over time.

Ben gets used to Poe's arms thrown over his shoulders, Finn leaning on him, or Rey tucking herself into his side. He literally never gets used to the tickling fingers seeking softness he thought he'd long crushed away

he gets very good at paying attention to a briefing while slapping way/wrestling with Finn, Poe, AND Rey's hands. laser focused.

Ben is usually a teasing voice on the sidelines when the trio gets up to tickly shenanigans, but i am a HUGE fan of Poe getting comfy and talking shit and Ben just looping his arms under Poe's and holding him for Finn and Rey to go to town. To win Ben's favor is to win a tickle fight. Finn is very good at this. Ben sides with him bc its the funniest option (and Poe's dramatic, betrayed gasps are the best).

He is so good at reading people and so specific in teasing. Such a scary ler but also very funny? He's very deadpan and witty. It's always unexpected. his parents really shine thru in him when he's up to mischief

Rey and Ben engage in long distance Force warfare that literally always ends in one of them slumped against the wall giggling. Finn learns to manipulate the Force and things get wild lol

Ben's palms are ticklish. I know this to be true.

He is fucking impossible to take down. Finn, Rey, and Poe have to tactically coordinate to ambush him. He's got a sixth sense for their bullshit. But! once he goes down he just kinda deflates. One person is the designated 'hold Ben's wrists' guy bc he always tries to hide his face

big fan of Ben giving Rey piggyback rides. Rey is a spider monkey to me. 50/50 Ben starts tickling her knees or Rey starts tickling his ears and they both collapse

love the idea of these four always being physically connected. esp since Ben is the tallest (i think). hes taking a nap and the trio just panini presses him into the mattress. their dogpiles always end in laughter or the best fucking naps ever. sometimes both

Narrative-wise a hint I could give is that it was very much me stealing the idea from Your Turn to Die if you're familiar with that (if you're not you should get into it everyone should get into your turn to die).

Pearl's def the easiest to guess just by noticing the Watcher referring to her as "her" so I didn't really care too much about making that one subtle lol

Cus I feel like rambling here's some symbolism stuff in there (pay attention to the questions about cats and dogs, for instance) where I tried to put some "the curtains were blue because he was sad" energy into, like:

Like, yes this is literally about a cat, but it's also an echo of her relationship with Scott. She gives and gives in return for any semblance of companionship, kind but insecure. Naive enough that she'd rather convince herself that the cat died instead of it just leaving her. So when Scott confirms her worst fears in DL, she breaks.

The Watcher: Do you prefer cats or dogs? 76: Aren't both great? Most people think I'm more of a dog person but if I had to choose, I think I'd rather have a cat.

Then here, in Martyn's interrogation, a somewhat similar question gets asked. Again, yes, very literal question and answer - the guy just likes cats.

But it's also a reflection of his loyalty towards Ren and Dogwarts. Ngl I kind of overuse cats as symbolism so they mean a lot of different things but here I was trying to get at their more solitary and independent reputation (because in the end, Martyn would've betrayed Ren to win the game).

Honestly I could talk at length about their characterizations in this, how it ties in with my headcanons/mercenary AU, the milgram/SCP inspo, etc. etc. but I don't wanna ramble too hard or else I'll feel like I don't have to make the art anymore lmao (but feel free to ask pls ask im buzzing vibrating brrrr)

(which is a BRILLIANT fic even if i don't really like wuko), except then your train of thought veered divergent so promptly that i was like. woah. woahhhh. i've always been partial for terrifying mobster boss!mako since reading this one a few years back and i wholeheartedly believe that if it weren't for bolin, mako could have very quickly devolved down a really bad path. i've seen it float around a lot of older posts, but to sum it up most succintly, mako made sure bolin survived and bolin made sure mako lived. and if bolin is gone? mako would not give two shits about trying to be a better person, and if bolin's death was of a tangible human person's doing… well. it would not end well for that person, let's say. that person being zolt would abolutely lead to mako promptly desecrating the man, and even if it wasn't a grab for power, i can totally see it proceeding to him actually becoming the teenage mob boss of the triple threats.

but really; mako is just such a guy of asinine stubborness to survive, with the single-minded goal to protect bolin. if there's no one left to protect, and if bolin didn't just succumb to the horrors of their circumstance but was rather brutally murdered as an attempt to control mako himself, that asinine stubborness to survive could very easily translate into cold-blooded violence, and would come with an unnerving facade of quiet apathy while he's really simmering on the edge of a really bad breakdown at any given moment. the guilt would also be endless, and mako would probably project the personal villain so hard on every single member of the triple threats in his general vicinity. working under this angry/guilty/repressed/violent teenager would actually be the most terrifying thing ever.

I just had another brain worm sorry. so remember how I was talking about korra potentially being a guiding adult-ish figure in the avatar mako au. what if baby bending brothers. and either lin/tenzin/whoever or them and the other 2 krew members,, taking care of little gang monster and his brother,, and addressing some of the insane trauma and helping him heal and build a stable life,,,

i do love child acquisition, but for tiny feral children! mako and bolin really could've been the most unhinged trauma children of all time and i don't think that any adult on the show would actually be able to handle them as they were except probably pema. tenzin would try his best but i think that he would very easily get overwhelmed and a certain phase of mako would probably incessantly insult him with the deliberate intention to rile him up — and admittedly, tenzin has more of a temper than he'd like to admit, so i just think they'd be at odds a lot to an almost dangerous amount. (but ig i'm exploring that in the actual fic lol) i think mako as a kid would be considerably more abrasive than his is now and far more distrusting and paranoid, to an extent that i don't think that there are a lot of adults in lok that would be well equipped to handle that. (maybe kya? i could see both of them taking to kya actually. that would be funny. maybe i'll write kya into this au.) i do think that bolin could easily get all of them wrapped around his finger, lin grudgingly (and i think she'd be the sort to hold a reluctant affection for prickly loser boy mako).

also idk how i missed it initially but throwing teenaged korrasami into the mix makes it funny though. they would manage the pair of them so badly. my crossover lore you ask?? how is knh palace in warrior cats?? WELL

our girl maomao, beloved, still does her posions and medicines! cant deprive her of her quirk! iirc there is a limited bit of medicine in wc and they have their shortages, but lets just say the knh location is abundant with herbs for an apothecary's usage!

and yes, she calls herself an apothecary bc her papa heard it when he used to be a loner and he just calls himself that now (so does everyone else, but healer / doctor are the main terms)

beloved maomao cant truthfully expierment with snakes and the likes the way she does in knh, but she finds her work arounds. for that reason she is an excellent hunter, being delightfully exceptional at hunting snakes and extracting their venom (how? who cares) to make unordinary cures and remedies :0 she keeps dead snakes and bugs around for harvesting when she needs them, and eats whatever is left over/expired (whether this is realistic doesnt matter at all)

She has like a million scars under her pelt bc she aggravates a lot of cats and loses plenty of fights, but they never hurt her too badly. simple scuffles and cuffs on the ear can get our meow meow to back off and watch her mouth (most of the time) the scars on her foreleg though are from her experiments :) ointments and such and whenever white/green/yellowcough breaks out, she's at the ready with tried and true methods, or something outrageous that only brave souls would try

now where does knh wc take place??? somewhere! that's for sure! no replacing any canon territories, there is no riverclan, there is no queen of england!

instead of a clan (bc it means something else in knh) the colony is called a palace, and it is like 4 times as large as a single wc clan would be! (imagine the lake / forest territories but they all belong to the emperor)

most terminology, laws, and roles are basically the same, still have our emperor, his younger brother, the consorts and the likes im thinking splitting the locations within the palace by direction like in canon, so one clan would equal one court, but all 4 clans are the palace and the area is usually referred to as such. there arent as many disputes bc the whole thing belongs to the emperor as for the rear palace? canonically it exists beside the actual palace, so idk! we'll figure that out later (or never)

starclan exists but its not a monolithic colony, so there are quite a bit nonbelievers but no one is splitting hairs over the fact

i think the only things that would have to change is some story elements and locations obv. like verdigris is a twolegplace colony that resides in the town near the palace, with the madam (grans) being only one of many leader types within it

verdigris is overrun with cats. there are people but not many, and the cats live in abandoned houses, sewers, old buildings, farms, etc!

maomao was born in verdigris, but as we know, her father isn't from there. Lakan is from the palace, specifically the eastern court! maomao has never been and as far as she knows, she has no father. Grans told her the cat that helped birth her disappeared and probably got eaten by dogs :) maomao has no reason or drive to question this information, but she is well aware of the shadow that seems to follow her whenever she's on the outskirts of verdigris...

her kidnapping?? uhhhhhh who knows! LOL! working in the rear palace? same as usual! i see no reason to change the poison taster factor when... like lets be so real... there is poison in warrior cats :) if shadowsight can live, maomao can live! but the types of poisons would have to shrink or expand dramatically bc they are cats

Apart from products (cologne, moisturizers, deodorants, etc) Tooru naturally smells sweet ! Like even after a volleyball game, he still smells good ahahaha

What does your muse's hands feel like?

His hands are calloused from playing volleyball but he takes good care of his hands so they aren’t as rough as one would expect from someone who practices the sport so intensively

What does your muse usually eat in a day?

Mostly leftovers as his mother works two jobs and his older sister no longer lives at home. Breakfast usually consists of something simple like onigiri or toast. Occasionally after volleyball practice, he goes out with Hajime and his team to get ramen or a beef bowl. He eats milk bread at every chance he gets !! He drinks a lot of coffee too, even more than tea. Tooru’s a mess in the kitchen so if he has to cook, it’s mostly instant stuff ! In threads where he has a partner, they’re usually the one who cook for him first and Tooru eventually learns because he wants to cook for them too ! I also noticed that in my other threads with friends or aus with a twin, they make or get food for him too and it’s the sweetest thing wlejnfwlje thank you for feeding my boy qwq

Does your muse have a good singing voice?

He does ! He used to sing songs to Takeru to help calm him down or make him fall asleep. Tooru also sings his heart out at karaoke !! (here is tooru’s va singing ponyo)

Does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks?

One of his bad habits is self-harming. Whenever he performs badly, his anxieties/ frustrations about his self-worth and skill get to be too much and he cuts himself as a form of punishment. He does it on the right side of his hip as it’s the only place where no one will be able to see. Another bad habit is falling asleep with his contacts in after he gets home from school. As for nervous ticks, he twirls a finger into his bangs or fidgets with his hands before or during a volleyball game.

What does your muse usually look like/wear?

At school, he wears the Seijoh school and volleyball club uniforms. At home, his favourite lounge wear is a sweater paired with shorts. Outside, he’s experimenting with wearing skirts ! Tooru’s fringe is cut shorter in the beginning of timeskip but he grows it back out later. When it gets to be too long, he uses bobby pins to pin them back out of his eyes.

Is your muse affectionate? How so?

Anyone who’s interacted with Tooru knows that he’s suuuper affectionate ! If he’s very close to someone, one part of Tooru is usually touching the other person somewhere. He loves hugging, it gives him energy ! And in a relationship, it increases tenfold. Kisses, holding hands, cuddling---he loves to touch and be touched by his partner ;W;

What position does your muse sleep in?

Usually on his side but if his cat is sleeping with him, Mochi would sleep on his legs so he’s forced to sleep on his back and his legs get cramped and sore in the mornings LOL

EXCITED STIMMMING YESSSSSSS I LOVE TALKING THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!! Gonna take em' out section by section.

General questions: 1.) Mmmm that's rlly hard to decide on. I love a lot of them equally. I miiight say Children of Sodor? Purely bc AEG is a very big comfort show for me, I love the kiddos a lot, and I love my versions even more. 2.) Out of the group...either Gordon or Kana. COS!Gordon is beloved to me as the gentle old father he is, and Kana is just my favorite AEG in general, so I think about her a lot in my au content.

Monster AU questions: 1.) I'd say none of them are particularly hoarders. Mainly because they don't have anything they'd really want. They are enamored by shiny objects but once they're snapped out of it they don't really care too much. They've got plenty of water, coal, diesel fuel and such, so they're not hoarders of fuel either. The closest you could get would be yard leaders like Gordon, who sometimes would push their "packs" together and try to keep them in one spot because they were worried about losing any of them. They just didn't want any harm to come to their fellow engines and the leaders have particularly strong urges to guard everyone, Gordon was especially bad for it. 2.) I try to include everyone, so yes, Gator would be here too :) Seeing as I'm doing this to pretty much EVERY engine, I think it'd be unfair to leave Gator out of the fun. Adding onto that, despite being a steam engine, I think it'd be fun if he actually resembled an alligator instead of being a fluffy beast. Mainly because hey why not, and also c'mon, his nickname is Gator!! 3.) I think a lot of the engines would take advantage of the ability of getting to chill in water. As long as it's not super deep and they aren't doing it for too long, they can actually swim a bit. And in shallow waters they can just relax and cool off in warmer weather, they all enjoy it quite a bit.

Children of Sodor questions: 1.) The kids absolutely have always been trying to copy the adults. They have basic "instinct" to do jobs, but they don't know how to do things exactly, so they were looking to the older machines to learn how to do what they wanted to so badly. Carly was swinging her hook when Cranky would in an attempt to load cars the way he did, Thomas would beg Annie and Clarabelle to let him pull them so that he could pull a passenger train like Gordon (which he eventually started doing for real!), so on and so forth. 2.) Sandy did get very surprised the first little while, but eventually she got fully unbothered, mainly because Carly was far faster so she would lift Sandy and just carry her along all the time. 3.) Bruno likes to stick to routine and schedule, and he's usually with Diesel or Thomas if he's working, so he's not on the same branch line as Oliver and Toad all that often. He's met Toad before, and he likes him a lot, he's a very polite brake van and they have that same natural solidarity that all rolling stock of the same type feel. 4.) Duck thinks the kids are all very lovely! He'd heard about them when they first arrived, but didn't actually meet them until a few months later. He's not as intensely involved with their lives as some others are but he doesn't mind them at all, he's friendly towards them and will chat with them if they cross paths. Sort of similar to how Edward is with them, but Duck isn't as involved as Edward. 5.) Oliver is actually also a kid! Duck considers him his little brother, and Oliver is the only kid that Duck is almost constantly around. Based off of my headcanon that Donald and Douglas are both really great with human kids, they're FANASTIC with machine kids. They're like the really fun uncles to the Tidmouth kids, if they get the chance to they're going to be spending every second they can with the kids, especially during the wintertime! They wanted to be as involved with the kids' lives as they could and were very present at the sheds when Kana and Nia had each first arrived so that they could make sure the overseas additions were settling in okay. The twins actually taught the young engines to clear snow!

On The Horizon questions: 1.) Magic from a natural born witch works pretty much anywhere, and in canon it does work in the human realm, though I feel I should point out that Sodor and Shining Time both are completely different from the "human realm" that Luna (aka Luz, I finally decided on the new names) came from. But yes, Wendy (aka Willow!) does indeed have magic! She didn't figure it out for a long while as there wasn't anything that really prompted her to do so and for many years of her life she fully believed she was human. The first time it happened was when she was 12 and it was a complete accident, one of her machine siblings had startled her and she just swung her arm around, managing to somehow summon a pretty large thorny vine from the ground. Wendy panicked and they ended up calling Hunter and MC over to investigate, and during that investigation Hunter finally confessed that he'd thought Wendy was a witch from the day he'd first seen her. He then sat down with Wendy and explained to her the very few things he did remember about wild magic, coaching her with his limited knowledge so that she could start training her powers. Her mother and all of her other loved ones were all quite shocked by this fact, but they didn't force Wendy to hide her magic just like the Hatt family didn't hide Oscar (Aka King) from the world. 2.) Speaking of the little guy! The rest of the island was pretty surprised by Oscar's existence. Topham had kept him hidden for the first few months, but he didn't want to keep the little guy cooped up forever, seeing as Oscar's clearly just as intelligent as any other kid and forcing him to hide for his whole life would be cruel and impossible. He did indeed startle many upon first meetings, but everyone adjusted and pretty soon Oscar was out among other kids his age with barely any issue. He did face a bit of bullying due to his strange appearance and clearly being nonhuman, but he has family and some friends who'd stand up for him and fix those problems. 3.) Hunter met Lady about 2 months after he'd been properly adopted by Mr. Conductor, actually! Seeing as the kid was already from a different magical world and he was healing from some rough times, MC thought it'd be a good idea to introduce the kid to Lady. Lady was a very welcome change of pace, she was calm and easy going and being an engine meant she didn't move that much and her facial expressions were far easier for him to read. Her kind voice and demeanor were really soothing to Hunter and him meeting her proved to benefit him greatly. 4.) Originally, I'd had the idea for Belos to go after Hunter. But then I thought about it. Belos, in the past, would kill the grimwalkers for the tiniest betrayals and then just start over with a new one like nothing happened...so I came up with a different plan. At first when Hunter was reported missing, Belos asked the coven to keep an eye out and listen to gossip. Interview residents of the isles. After a week of that, with no sign, he sent scouts to actively search for him. After a week of that? Belos sighed, shrugged, cut his losses, and cooked up a new grimwalker. This one's hair is a bit long and messy, but he looks enough like Caleb that he'll do. And this time, Belos is going to ensure this golden guard won't be going anywhere.

okay, so we've already seen at least some of the ghosts reactions to real life dogs at button house (Barclay's dogs and Nick's dog!). From my recollection of both times...

Robin, seeing a dog: COMRADE BARK BARK (relatable)

The Captain: adorable confusion/stern look at barking (also relatable)

Pat: attempting to give the dog SO much love and attention even though it's making him nauseated 🥺 (the most relatable)

we also know that Fanny loved her dog Dante more than her own kids lol and in terms of other pets irl i think she had a falcon and a horse? a real animal lover tbh!

in terms of everyone else having pets when they're alive - i don't think anyone doesn't want a pet but I do think they fall into one of two categories (Robin exists outside these categories because animals aren't pets to him, they're fellow guys)

adores animals and desperately wants or has a pet (Pat, Kitty, Fanny, Humphrey)

pretends they don't want a pet/are above having a pet but would love one if they got one (Julian, the Captain, Mary, Thomas)

Mary is the 2nd category because i think she had a lot of animals out of necessity (cows, chickens, etc) and so might not get the concept of having one just to have one (and also is probably very similar to Robin - chickens are just some guys in the same way that dogs are).

Pat is definitely a dog person! The Captain pretends to be ambivalent but is absolutely like someone from those videos where it's like "my dad and the dog he didn't want" and they're both cuddling on the sofa. In my fic Lost then Found, Fanny adopted a border collie and Cap trained it and low-key I am still in love with that idea, I think a border collie or springer spaniel would be a good dog for him. Taking training seriously (!) but also being adorable and cuddly for him. I've got distracted by the Captain now.

I think Julian would be in category 2 where he has a cat so he could pretend it's self-sufficient and that neither of them care for each other but then he has multiple nicknames for it and gives it the best food.

Kitty, like Fanny, is category 1. I think she would have a house full of strays/adopted animals. Everything under the sun. Basically her own animal shelter (because she knows what it's like to feel unloved)

This is actually making me really emotional because the more I'm thinking about it, the more I think, regardless of category 1 or 2, any of them would just love an animal that loves them back? Even people like Julian or Cap who pretend to be above it all, they'd see a little lost kitten and be like,, yo anyone gonna give that guy a home?

I'll leave it there for now, but I'm thinking I really should put more pets into my AUs now!!
