So if the bros actually are in Sarasaland for the sequel, why are they there? And if Daisy does appear, what would her role be? Perhaps something similar to DK’s role in the first movie?
Whatever it is, I hope they establish her as more than just Luigi’s love interest. I’ve seen some people mention how much they want her to appear in the sequel, but it’s only so she and Luigi can make goo-goo eyes at each other and nothing else.
If they are in Sarasaland, I'm going guess either
They need Princess Daisy's help either to find a macguffin or for political allegiance.
They got lost somewhere in their journey (maybe due to a malfunctioning warp pipe) and now need help finding their way home / to The Darklands to save Princess Peach.
In either case, I do imagine Princess Daisy would serve kind of a DK-ish role where she joins them partway through their adventure to give them a leg up. She acts as the muscle, mostly working in the background while having obvious on-screen importance in terms of turning the tide of battle.
As for her interaction with Luigi, I'm with you. Either I want her to have a respectful (albeit a little obvious) crush on Luigi that he stays entirely oblivious to for the entire movie or... better yet... I want them to handle it exactly the same way they handled Peach and Mario's relationship.
There's no moment that sparks fly, but you can see tiny things clicking into place: soft moments of connection and little instances of Daisy paying especially close attention to Lu's emotional state. From a distance it looks like just a strong friendship forming, but if you look harder you can see something a little stronger than that brewing beneath the surface.

Queen of Tears is so interesting cause i've never dealt with two really complex leads like this in romcom (i mean it is funny)
i've said it before but Haein and Hyunwoo know each other very well but don't know each other at all (i don't know if i've ever seen communication issues this bad).
Losing the baby clearly drove them apart. She blamed herself and put up high walls. He wears his heart on his sleeve and cried over it. We can argue that he should've comforted her in that moment but at the same time she clearly knew he was upset so why didn't she go to him? Haein thought she had no right to grieve and consequently Hyunwoo thought she didn't grieve at all. The moment where they needed each other more than ever- the moment they should've been together they both fucked up.
The core of the issue is that they can't read each other's mind, this is literally said at the beginning of 6- they love each other dearly but also tripping over each in the process.
Outside of Hyunwoo jumping up and down at her diagnosis and faking his way into her will (which was painfully cruel and soooo funny) It's very clear that this is a two person game. Although I always interpreted Hyunwoo's joy as the same as the mistress of a wealthy man who is just waiting for him to die so she can get the money, (it's mean but most times the master either sucks or he's naive as hell and she has no reason to mourn) and at that point Hyunwoo's in the same situation.
Why didn't Haein defend him in front of her relatives? Why scold him publicly in front of the employees? She does a lot of things behind the scenes but good intentions can only go so far if object of those affections is ignorant of the full story. The same thing happens in episode 6, she is trying to protect Hyunwoo from her family but without telling him so he is ignorant of the big picture. Why wasn't Hyunwoo honest with his feelings? Why is he always assuming the worst when she never explicitly says something? We see he tries to talk to her (it fails) but his fear of upsetting her leads him to do otherwise cruel things to keep her happy.
Which is also why the divorce paper is so interesting. That paper was one of the best things he’s done. He was completely justified in writing that. It breaks Haein's heart but severing ties like that was way healthier than him forcing himself to stay in this marriage and pamper her with fake love.
One thing I will admire this piece for is the role reversal, like i'm seeing so many typical fl tropes on Hyunwoo and ml tropes on Haein. You ever read one those isekai or time reverse manwha's were the fl goes back in time to get a divorce but falls in love with her partner again? yeah this is the same exact thing.

Don't you sometimes think of how Saiki has seen or heard things no normal person should ever have to see or hear?
He knows of the criminal and hateful abyss of this world, he has seen it.
A normal person has a 15%, or higher, to walk past a serial killer or murderer without knowing, however Saiki has the power to read minds, meaning that he can know if the person in his presence is a serial killer or not.
He can see what that person is thinking of doing, the plans the killer has for his victims, the things that man has already done.
Saiki would stop him in someway, maybe sending the police to him via telepathy, or by using one of his many physic powers.
But would he be able to forget what he saw in the deepest reaches of that monster mind? Would he forget that there were some victims that he couldn't save?
I think that's why telepathy is one of the most cruel powers he has...
... It makes him see a side of the world, no one desires to see.
(Sorry for the bad English, I am Brazilian.)
ohhhh I think about this all the time honestly, I don’t talk about as much bc it gets heavy in ways that I don’t like dealing with fast, but yeah I think about it so much. Cause like, I’m pretty sure that besides shapeshifting, telepathy was the power he first developed. And even with his limiters, he can hear a 200 meter radius which. Yeah.
The issue he most often touches on is that a large portion of what he hears is depressing negative thoughts, which in turn makes him depressed from constantly hearing it. He also hearing things like criminal thoughts, abusive thoughts, suicidal thoughts, perverted thoughts, etc. (might be one of the reasons why he can’t relax with his ring on, because he’s been exposed to the most vile parts of humanity constantly his whole life.) as well as thoughts that are unkind towards him from the people around him
there’s the panel where he even states that when he was a little kid he began feeling real despair for humanity since he was constantly hearing this stuff
definitely his saddest power like by far, and probably responsible for most of his trauma. (Well, the random uncontrollable time loop power he gets later would probably beat that but it only developed in highschool for him lol)
