who rang the doorbell not being shown is so suspicious to me so as much as i hate it i believe kim tae-sung killed sun-jae.
in the OG timeline sun-jae was pushed off from the balcony. the balcony and the door were on opposite sides of the room. would sun-jae let the guy who kidnapped sol and then attacked them both later inside his room? i don't think he would forget that face or even if he did forget he still wouldn't just let any stranger into his room being an idol dealing with sasaengs everyday. his death was easily ruled as a suicide because there mustn't have been any signs of struggle. sun-jae was a former athlete and an idol and an actor (he must be trained in some fighting technique at least) no way it would be so easy to push him off. UNLESS it was someone he knew they cross the room to the balcony while talking and then out of nowhere he's pushed from the balcony.
when sol was forced back to the present the first time it happened when kim tae-sung asked her to be his girlfriend and then in 2023 sun-jae was still dead. what exactly was the trigger there that she leaped back to the present??? it did seem out of nowhere. as much as sun-jae liked her i don't think the butterfly effect of his crush being asked out by just some guy leads to his death once again especially knowing that he didn't even kill himself. i mean sun-jae would still try to save sol whether she's somebody else's girlfriend or not but why exactly did sun-jae seeing tae-sung ask sol to be his girlfriend brought her back to 2023? unless it had to do with tae-sung himself.
when the second time sol went back to 2023 it was after getting saved from the taxi driver. sun-jae and the detective both prevented the taxi driver from hitting her which changed the present where she could walk and sun-jae did not live in any guilt. this was a huge change it makes sense why she ended up in the present right after that. now comparing this to tae-sung asking her out in front of sun-jae later falls short of being a trigger enough to send her back to 2023.
sun-jae used to wear that watch everyday and was ofc wearing it during the original kidnapping. sol bought it later as a fan so emotionally they're both tied to it. the watch has been a witness to it all. when tae-sung asked sol to be his gf there was a focus on the watch and she was back in '23 but not after the accident prevention scene. tho she still went back. why did she go back ending the first jump bothers me a lot. the watch knows something we don't...
in the current timeline sun-jae was stabbed in the hotel by the taxi driver there was struggle and he's not dead yet. it was very easy for everyone to guess the taxi driver killed sun-jae originally too then why not show who rang the doorbell? there is a significance to that doorbell from the original time that even IF this time it was rung by the taxi driver it wasn't shown.
the drama is only halfway through it just can't be so easy that the only mystery left is not knowing what exactly happened during "the incident" 14 years ago. sun-jae is in surgery after getting stabbed and isn't dead yet. streets have been saying since last 2-3 weeks that sun-jae will jump to the past too this time to their uni days. sun-jae wouldn't remember the past that sol changed so he wouldn't know who killed him originally. he himself would think of the taxi driver as the real danger. there was mystery to sol's accident because she forgot about getting kidnapped. for sun-jae (and sol too) it should be not knowing who is the real killer.
tae-sung's motive: he was outside sol's building only because he's tracking the taxi driver (who has enough motive to want to kill sol and sun-jae) that's what i want to believe but brain once again says it can't be so easy. it's a 16-episoder after all!
i don't believe tae-sung is just in the story to only be the second lead love interest and a jealousy device (also not forgetting the trend lately is of the second lead guys being killers). in episode 1 sol asks her friend what happened to "him" and she tells sol he left school (bc of some incident i forgot what exactly she said). idk why but his mention in episode 1 seemed of importance. next episode he's introduced and he's a fun guy who's lonely his detective father is too busy to even remember his birthday. he's also a member of the band with baek in-hyuk and eventually this is the band sun-jae becomes a part of. he originally didn't have feelings for sol she and him did not date. but however it happened sun-jae becoming a part of eclipse remains the same throughout the timelines as of now. did something happen between them for tae-sung to hate sun-jae or did he just leave the school for personal reasons only? in the changed past he started having feelings for sol but she actually likes sun-jae (trying to kill someone because of your crush 15 years later is quite petty and not a good enough reason for a cool guy like tae-sung)
for something that hasn't been revealed yet i am way too sure that his detective father dies but going along this thought process... in both the timelines tae-sung's father must have been murdered trying to catch the creepy taxi driver. in both the timelines sun-jae was with sol (saved her from him near the reservoir and on the road where tae-sung's father's car intervened) and during 'the incident' (which as of ep8 hasn't been revealed yet) there too sun-jae was with her. sol, sun-jae, taxi driver and the detective all are important to why sun-jae was murdered in 2023.
as much as we love to call it a romcom it never really was just a romcom with time travel. sol being in the wheelchair because of the accident was never just an accident and sun-jae's 15 years of guilt towards her were all tied to the taxi driver which is tied to the detective possibly investigating him and by extension to his son as it does affect tae-sung if his father dies making him as important as these four in all of this.
ik i am giving too much importance to tae-sung's father but he seemed important to the story even with the 3 scenes he appeared in and i am so sure he dies (gonna be so funny when it's revealed he didn't die) BUT if this happens then some eclipse related matter, sun-jae having all the fame & money (which to anyone would look like he's living da life), his father's death (add sol to the equation now because of the changes) there's enough for tae-sung to hold a deadly grudge against sun-jae...

because sometimes there are invisible tests and invisible rules and you're just supposed to ... know the rule. someone you thought of as a friend asks you for book recommendations, so you give her a list of like 30 books, each with a brief blurb and why you like it. later, you find out she screenshotted the list and send it out to a group chat with the note: what an absolute freak can you believe this. you saw the responses: emojis where people are rolling over laughing. too much and obsessive and actually kind of creepy in the comments. you thought you'd been doing the right thing. she'd asked, right? an invisible rule: this is what happens when you get too excited.
you aren't supposed to laugh at your own jokes, so you don't, but then you're too serious. you're not supposed to be too loud, but then people say you're too quiet. you aren't supposed to get passionate about things, but then you're shy, boring. you aren't supposed to talk too much, but then people are mad when you're not good at replying.
you fold yourself into a prettier paper crane. since you never know what is "selfish" and what is "charity," you give yourself over, fully. you'd rather be empty and over-generous - you'd rather eat your own boundaries than have even one person believe that you're mean. since you don't know what the thing is that will make them hate you, you simply scrub yourself clean of any form of roughness. if you are perfect and smiling and funny, they can love you. if you are always there for them and never admit what's happening and never mention your past and never make them uncomfortable - you can make up for it. you can earn it.
don't fuck up. they're all testing you, always. they're tolerating you. whatever secret club happened, over a summer somewhere - during some activity you didn't get to attend - everyone else just... figured it out. like they got some kind of award or examination that allowed them to know how-to-be-normal. how to fit. and for the rest of your life, you've been playing catch-up. you've been trying to prove that - haha! you get it! that the joke they're telling, the people they are, the manual they got- yeah, you've totally read it.
if you can just divide yourself in two - the lovable one, and the one that is you - you can do this. you can walk the line. they can laugh and accept you. if you are always-balanced, never burdensome, a delight to have in class, champagne and glittering and never gawky or florescent or god-forbid cringe: you can get away with it.
you stare at your therapist, whom you can make jokes with, and who laughs at your jokes, because you are so fucking good at people-pleasing. you smile at her, and she asks you how you're doing, and you automatically say i'm good, thanks, how are you? while the answer swims somewhere in your little lizard brain:
how long have you been doing this now? mastering the art of your body and mind like you're piloting a puppet. has it worked? what do you mean that all you feel is... just exhausted. pick yourself up, the tightrope has no net. after all, you're cheating, somehow, but nobody seems to know you actually flunked the test. it's working!
aren't you happy yet?

Core Gems
So when a ghost becomes injured, they have a last ditch defense where they retreat into their core. And I mean, injured badly where their body is rip apart to the point they can’t hold a solid form anymore. And they basically go into a hibernation state until they are strong enough to form again.
Ellie, Danny, and Dan are all injured in a final battle against the GIW. The organization was destroyed and the ghosts were safe but the halfas ended up being so injured that they reverted to core form and then went to sleep for a bit. When they woke up, they were still weak but at least recovered enough to gain consciousness. And realize…they are in some kind of auction…in the middle of a heist. It appeared that two furries (one in a bat costume and one in a cat costume) were ducking it out. And they…they were a necklace. All three of them had been turned into a necklace with their cores as gems accompanied by sapphires, pearls, and opals. And frankly gorgeous craftsmanship as the metal was crafted around their cores as if to cradle them and the other gems.
Unfortunately, they were too weak to take a form properly, they could still feel the strain on their bodies. But at least they could still communicate through their auras. Then the cat lady punched a hole in the glass container surrounding them and grabbed their necklace.
However, the bat grabbed the other end and it resulted in a sort of tug-a-war. Meanwhile, Danny, Ellie, and Dan were having a back and form commentary on the situation and what they should do. Completely unheard by the other party.
In the corner of their eye, the three halfas finally noticed a third contender. Some kind of clown who was…hold on…holding a gun?! And it was pointed straight at the two fighting furies who had yet to notice him. The ghosts’ protective instincts went into overdrive and they frantically tried to shout, yell, move. Just do something to warn the two but their cries fell on deaf ears. All they succeeded in doing was faintly glow which immediatly caught the attention of the fighting duo. The two turned to look at the strange necklace but right at that moment, the clown fired and a gunshot rang throughout the auction room. Having no other options, Danny and the others poured every ounce of ectoplasm they had to try and phaseshift, making the two furries intangible as the bullets passed right through them, but in their shock, the two jumped away in opposite directions and accidentally ripped the necklace apart. Gems and pearls went flying and the three cores bounced along the ground.
Luckily, the two finally noticed the clown and went to deal with him and his minions who had appeared. Seemingly putting their fight on hold and forming a temporary truce. The three halfas could only watch as the battle finally wound down, ending with the cops barging into the place and arresting the clown and his grunts, the cat managing to escape with half the scattered gems and pearls from the broken necklace along with a few other jewelry pieces (none of their cores though) and the bat leaving through a skylight.
The auction continued and in the end, despite being broken, their necklace seemed to have caught someone’s interest. A man named Bruce Wayne bought up every piece of the shattered jewelry wear. The auctioneers appeared relived that the item managed to sell in the end and gratefully gave it to him.
Bruce had no idea what happened at the auction, but he could have sworn that some of the gems faintly glowed right before he and Selina were shot. If the necklace was some sort of magical item, then he needed to understand exactly what has been brought to Gotham. It was unfortunate that Selena had taken some parts of the necklace but he utilized his vast wealth to make sure all the other parts ended in his possession. Now he would take them back to the mansion for examination.

Dpxdc Au - Tim and Danny are Twins, have been through all the introductions and after a few years decide to have The Audacity.
At some point it hits the two of them, that they really do act alike sometimes. Like, mannerisms and small detail micro expressions, the whole nine, so Danny and Tim decide to take advantage of this.
Parent trap style swapping but all within the same household, they cut their hair and swap clothes, and get in a few practice runs around the halls of Wayne Manor. No one in the family catches them through at least 3 family dinners, so they go for the larger gambit.
Tim wants to go to high school for a bit and get back into skate boarding with low stakes- Thats what he tells Danny at least, he really wants to spend the time dismantling the GIW from the epicenter in Amity Park. It works out that Tim accomplishes this in record time (explosives didn’t require ethics in his opinion) and does actually get to enjoy his hobbies again for a bit.
Danny wants to tell off the WE board members and get some proper Red Robin training so he’s not so dependent on his powers when facing human enemies (they were squishier than ghosts, restraint was key)- That’s what he tells Tim when the reality is he’s going to lead a hostile takeover of DalvCo. and well, yeah, actually get some training in.
No one catches on except for Kon.
After they’ve swapped back and their missions are debriefed, Tim asks him why he never fell for it? Simply put: “Uh, dude. Your twin doesn’t have a heartbeat half the time, it was pretty easy to tell.”

the way cole makes varric conflicted is so delicious i think. most of the characters are uncomfortable around him because they're genuinely terrified of demons and the fade and magic in general but varric is a completely different case. the thing is, he doesn't see cole as a demon at all because he doesn't want to.
he acts like he doesn't care about this stuff. that's a little weird kiddo around here and he wants to befriend him. teach him something even. why not. that's a little guy who's a little too good with knives and can't pick up a single social clue at the same time.
but there it is. the "he could have been a person" line if cole is made more spirit. varric is so upset about it because it's not like he saw cole as, well, a spirit who got a little too human. for varric, he was a human first, a weird kid second. the spirit part didn't even come into consideration because. well. it would make him question things. you know where it goes.
every time he starts bitching about anders he brings up justice. justice drove him mad. justice took over him. justice this, justice that. justice is a scapegoat because the thought that someone varric was friends with was actually willing to blow up the chantry and it wasn't just some evil demon's wish is a very unsettling one. varric's friends may be crazy but they're cool and make no irreversible life decisions of that extent, don't they? blondie turned out this way because he let a demon possess him and make him do terrible things. completely out of the blue.
it's either varric's ex-friend has never been driven crazy by some inherently evil entity and there was a whole other person around him all along and that anger he used to mock was coming from the same place as compassion's urge to become a killer or that little weird but kind kid he started to care about has never been and will never be a real kid. he can't have both. a bitter pill to swallow for someone who has never picked a side in his life
