Anyways thinking about how Vision constantly tends to operate within a team structure and he hardly has a ‘personal’ life of his own and how he always favors being the Observant rather than the Mover

Natasha met you post-Black Widow. She was helping out Yelena with freeing the Widows’ when she came across you.
You were a teen at the time - but still brainwashed. Thankfully because of your age you hadn’t been brainwashed into doing anything too bad yet, but you were almost finished with your training.
Something struck Natasha when she saw you. Looking back on it, she assumes it was the fact that like her and Yelena, you had been put into the Red Room at a young age, and you were the first teen they saw while on these various missions.
While she was okay with fighting the other Widows’, it was hard for Natasha to fight you. At the time, she brushed it off as not wanting to hurt a kid, but she knew that she was taking a liking to you.
Which was why, when Yelena managed to free you, and you told them that you had nowhere to go, Natasha felt the need to do something about it. Unlike the other Widows’ who were adults, you couldn’t go out into the world alone and, after talking with Yelena, Natasha decided to take you along with her.
It wasn’t adoption per say, at least at first, but it was close enough.
You jumped at the opportunity to tag along with Natasha and while Yelena continued the Widows’ mission, Natasha took you back to Melina’s house., where you met Melina and Alexei.
You were wary around them at first, clinging to Natasha, but you warmed up.
However, it wasn’t long before Natasha had to go on the run again. She offered you the chance to stay there with Melina and Alexei but you had grown very close to Natasha and wanted to come with her.
So, you did.
It was difficult, escaping authority and having to constantly be moving, but it in a way it strengthened yours and Natasha’s bond. You guys got closer and learned to work together — as fighting partners as well as mother/daughter.
Which was why, not having known your biological parents or where they were, the word ‘mom’ easily fell off her lips.
It happened when you guys were eating take-out in your latest house. Natasha had passed you the water pitcher and “thanks, mom” just came so naturally.
For a second, you didn’t realize what you had said, until you looked up to see Natasha staring at you with wide eyes.
Then, it hit you. Holy shit my god. Had you just said that?? What just happened?
You got scared that Natasha would react badly, but it was the opposite. A huge grin broke out on her face and even happy tears of pure joy.
When you asked her what was going on, she said: “I’ve never been a mother.”
That’s when you smiled and hugged her and you officially agreed on becoming mother and daughter.
Natasha was worried on being a mother at first, scared that she messed it up, but after reassurance from Melina via a phone call, she fell into the role naturally.
She became much more protective.
Not that you minded.
This went on until the Avengers called upon Natasha to fight Thanos.
She brought you along with her and the team was thoroughly stunned.
“wHO ArE yOU???”
“NATASHAAAA”
Yeah, it was chaotic.
You weren’t fazed though and quickly befriended Wanda and attempted to befriend Vision.
Steve and Sam also became like uncles.
Tony was a bit more difficult because you initially blamed him for you and Natasha on the run, so you were distant at first.
You were also kinda disappointed that Clint wasn’t there. You had wanted to meet him (and Natasha wanted you to meet him) after the stories you heard.
Nonetheless, you went to Wakanda and that’s where you met Bucky. It wasn’t long before he became another uncle.
You absolutely loved fighting alongside Okoye and meeting Shuri. You were fascinated by her technology.
You also kicked ass on the battlefield.
But then . . . You lost.
You watched Bucky disappear and even though you hadn’t known him for nearly as long as Natasha and Steve did, you still felt great pain.
Then you learned to that Sam and Wanda had gotten snapped and it got worse.
The days leading after were some of the most difficult days ever.
It was the first time you had to be strong for your mom, seeing as she had lost her friends too, and you panicked at first.
But you had been her daughter for awhile now and you knew what to do. You hugged Natasha and was there for her.
In the months coming, you helped the reminding heroes rebuild the world and you eventually joined the Avengers under your mother’s lead.
You also met Clint but it wasn’t a happy meeting, really, since he had lost his family.
You continued on as an Avenger with Natasha by your side. You met Carol and she was like an aunt and was amazing.
Things started to turn on the bright side when one day Natasha walked in with a genuine smile and held papers.
You could only guess what they were for at first, but quickly was shown and freaked out (a happy freak out) after.
Adoption papers.
You jumped and yelled and screamed and cheered, unbelievably happy that this was becoming official official.
You were Natasha’s daughter.
While the past few years had been difficult, this made it all worth it. You didn’t know where you’d be without Natasha and she was always with you.
Eventually, the team had a plan to defeat Thanos.
Which felt liked a miracle.
Natasha lives because I say so.
You and her got to tag-team Thanos’ enemies.
Literally the best team since Clint and Nat.
(Clint was jealous)
Then, you got everyone back!
You were SO happy to see Bucky, Sam, and Wanda again, and so was Natasha.
After you all reunited and the world went back to semi-normal, you and Natasha visited Yelena, Alexei, and Melina who were beyond happy to see you both.
Things started to turn up again and you were so grateful to have Nat at your side.
She was the best mom EVER.
Always looking out for you and protecting you
If any of the other Avengers made the slightest of snide comments, she was on them like a bloodhound
She always reminded you to hydrate and was always asking you how you were doing
It was hard to believe that she hadn’t had any experience with children before
Well, she had, with Clint’s kids, but still
Speaking of Clint’s kids, they all looked to you like an older cousin
But getting back to Natasha
She insisted that only she would train with you, not trusting the team to not injure you (besides, she knew you best)
You loved training with Natasha too
She always made it fun, putting on music and stuff
It helped you had similar music tastes
She also would always gush to anyone but really Clint, Sam, or Bucky on how cute and adorable you were
And they definitely agreed
One time during movie night you fell asleep with your head on Nat’s shoulder
She was so happy
Made Bucky take a picture
But she did feel a little bad because you must be tired
So she carried you to your room and put you to bed, kissing you goodnight
You had missed out on a childhood so it was nice for your mom to bring you to bed
All in all Natasha was the best thing to happen to you
Despite it being tough, you were thankful for every second of it

Hurts Like Hell- Hold on Pt.2
SUMMARY: part two to the previous fic 'Hold On I still need you'. Stark's gone. Y/N has all her energy put into getting this show on one last time- at Tony's funeral. Ending of Endgame with Y/N as the youngest avenger, and the only miracle who ever got Steve and Tony to agree.
‘Hey Y/N’ said Clint. I looked up at him from the bed where I sat. Pepper had come in a while ago, getting me and Morgan dressed in a plain black knee length dress. I didn’t have the energy- or mind- to do it on my own. ‘Hey birdbrain’ I said, trying to smile, but failing almost instantly. Clint, who was at the doorway, ran up to me in embrace, his Lila being my age and one of the few I trust, he knew me.
‘I’m sorry’ I whispered over and over. It was one of the things Tony taught me- emotions make you vulnerable. ‘No honey, I’m sorry- we couldn’t save him’ Clint said back. ‘I missed you’ is all I said… I can’t even say it… he’s gone… I won’t see him again… I – I just can’t…
‘I missed you too, all of us did’ said Clint, he held my shoulders and looked at me as he continued, ‘ Lets put on this show one last time Y/N, for Tony, for his funeral, and for Steve… he wants to help, and he can’t take it that he doesn’t know how’ he explained slowly.
I nodded as I looped my arm through Clint’s and we walked out. All of them were there- well, except one very sly smirk and a beautiful read head. Steve came to me as soon as I walked out the door. I wasn’t one to show emotions, I was taught by Tony- no surprise there. But none the less, I didn’t care who was watching, I hugged Steve, my arms clasping around his middle. The others were slightly taken back by the display of affection, but Steve reciprocated the hug in no time. I could here his heartbeat, hoping there were a few others still making that sound.
I walked slowly, each step feeling heavier, to the living room of Tony’s home… where he his message would be played. He knew- how dare he accept it- he knew! I sat on the couch, Steve’s arm on my shoulder and Morgan by my side.
The projection flickered a bit, before I turned into the man who we gathered here for. There he was- smiling, hopeful, alive.
‘Everybody wants a happy ending. Right? But it doesn't always roll that way. Maybe this time. I'm hoping if you play this back, it's in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we get it back and something like a normal version of the planet has been restored, if there ever was such a thing. God, what a world. Universe, now. If you told me ten years ago that we weren't alone, let alone, you know, to this extent, I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised, but come on. The epic forces of dark and light that have come in to play. And for better or worse, that's the reality Morgan's gonna have to find a way to grow up in. So I thought I better record a little greeting, in the case of an untimely death, on my part. I mean, not that death at any time isn't untimely. This time travel thing we're gonna try and pull off tomorrow, it's got me scratching my head about the survivability of it all. Then again that's the hero gig. Part of the journey is the end. What am I even tripping for? Everything's gonna workout exactly the way it's supposed to.’ He paused, the image moving closer to me and Morgan.
He pointed at Morgan and said , ‘You, are my greatest creation’ and then he paused, it seemed as though Tony was right there, looking me in the eye, he said ‘And you Y/N, are my greatest treasure’. He moved a step back, almost like he was turning off the recorder, but said one last line , ‘I love you both 3000’.
And just like that he was gone.
That was his final memory… no more…
I slumped back on the couch, feeling myself shatter into a million pieces , an empty void inside me… Pepper let out a tired breath. ‘Living is a fickle thing, death making it precious. Death is a cruel thing, making the living defenceless.’ I said humourlessly as pepper held in tears.
Steve held out his arm and we head out to the lake. A beautiful wreathe with a arc reactor in the centre- ‘Proof that Tony Stark has a heart’ it said… Pepper placed it on the water, soft ripples making its way out. I looked at the arc reactor as it drifted away, muttering under my breathe, ‘ I loved and I loved and I lost you…And it hurts like hell…’
That day, that moment, I saw what grief is, in every soul standing there, in every Avenger, every hero, I saw it.
And everyone was there.
It was over almost as suddenly as it happened. I sat over the ledge looking out on the lake. I heard footsteps behind me, Steve. ‘I know what your going to do’ I say quietly. ‘Return the stones’ Steve said.
‘Don’t bullshit me Rogers you know what I’m talking about’ I say, the Stark in me showing. Steve however, didn’t react, he took a deep breathe and sat next to me. And to my other side, I was joined by Bucky. ‘Hey Nova’ said Bucky, calling me by the name the world knew me by. ‘Getting bold aren’t you James?’ I say, not much enthusiasm behind my words.
We sat in silence a while. ‘I’m selfish enough to want you to stay, but I love you enough to know to let you go Steve….’ I say after a while. That was one of the last things I wanted to do… lose Steve too…. But few years in the past is another woman, hoping and praying he’d come back. She should get her happy ending. Steve started to speak, but I got up and walked away.
I stood by Bucky, back in gear as Steve took the last of the Pym particles and got ready for his one trip. I don’t think anyone else knew…
‘1…2…3..’ said Bruce, Steve disappeared. ‘3…2…1…’ Bruce said, counting seconds to when Steve returns- I turn away and start to walk off. He’s not coming back and I don’t want to witness it.
As I walked away I heard the chaos and confusion behind me, probably just Bucky trying to choke Bruce. I went back to my spot at the ledge, where little Morgan stood playing with a high-tech boat. ‘Morgan’ I said in a sing-song voice. Her head snapped to my direction. ‘Y/N!’ she giggled as I made my way to her.
I sat by her and held Tony’s greatest creation as close to me as I could, the creation I’d protect with my life. We sat there a while, talking about cheese burgers and juice pops.
I don’t know how I didn’t notice, being trained by Nat and Clint, but it took me by surprise when someone swung their arms around mine and Morgan’s shoulder. Naturally I elbowed whoever it was before pulling Morgan into stance behind me. I could see Thor, Bucky, Clint, Wanda… the whole lot a bit further behind.
The person got off the floor chuckling, ‘Guess it’s my fault I snuck up on an international spy.’ He said. I smiled as I felt the wait of the sky off my chest.
‘Steve?’

Hello. I love the prompt " the commission " can we have the full story please ? How will the avengers react of the news about Hawkmoth?
The full story will come later I promise! I unleashed so many things onto myself but I have no regrets XD Though I shall share some headcanons with you guys about the AU in the mean time!
* Pepper has been a fan of MDC since she saw the designs for Penny and Jagged’s wedding attire. Her and Penny are friends and when she asked who made Penny’s dress and Jagged’s suit, Penny was all too happy to tell her and brag about Marinette and show her everything else Mari had designed for her and Jagged and others.
* When Tony officially proposed, Pepper already knew who she wanted to make her dress. She could tell Tony was hesitant to ask MDC since she wasn’t that well known yet, but they both knew he couldn’t say no to her, so it was no surprise when she caught him looking at her website and commission prices. Later she pretended not to notice him calling Penny and asking for MDC’s email. Pepper liked to let him believe he could keep anything from her, it was the thought that counted.
* Peter, Harley, MJ, and Ned are all excited for the wedding. Peter gets to be the flower boy which he is super happy about and Harley is the ring bearer.
* MJ is also a fan of MDC
* The whole “Minion” squad are Jagged Stone fans. Peter’s favorite album may or may not be Rock Giant.  👀
*The Minion Squad are all off school for summer already, Marinette just started summer since it’s the beginning days of July. While the Minion Squad plans to help plan the wedding, invent, prank the Avengers, and just have some good summer fun, Marinette plans to work on her MDC commissions since she knew she would be getting a lot. Penny had given her a heads up. Besides, there wasn’t much friends she could hang out with since Luka had told her that him, his sister, and his mom planned to sail around for the summer. Anarka wantedd to get the kids out of Paris for a while. Chloe and Sabrina would be going on vacation with Chloe’s mom to Milan for two weeks and then to New York for a month so Chloe could see her mother’s business and get a feel of it and see if it is something she would want to take over. Kagami and her mother would also be leaving Paris to visit family in Japan. The only ones she would be able to hang out with would be Alix, Nathaniel, and Marc.
* Then she gets the email from Tony. Freaking. Stark! She nearly faints! Okay. She faints. He actually wants Marinette to design and make his and Pepper Potts wedding attire!!! His email said that he would house her and her team for however long she needed for the consulting period and the beginning work of the outfits. Okay actually it said till the outfits were done but she would discuss that with him and Pepper when she got there because wedding dresses typically took 6-9 months to make. She figured she had time as he did specify they were planning a December wedding of next year, something about it being a Christmas present.
* After she talks it over with her parents, she responds to Tony that she would love to design and make his and Pepper’s wedding attire but before the discuss anything further she would like for them to video chat. Tony agrees later that day, which is more than enough time for Marinette to set up at Jagged and Penny’s house, they officially bought a house in Paris yes, along with her mother and father so they could talk everything over with Mr. Stark. When the camera connects, Tony swears he must be rebooting because he did not think that MDC was a 16 year old girl, but he adapts quickly and understands now why she wanted to discuss the arrangement more.
* Tom and Sabine are even more delighted and on board on sending Marinette to New York when Tony offers to let her stay in Stark Tower/Avengers Tower with the heroes and his Minions. Marinette of course asks if she can bring some friends, they’re not officially her team but she would feel better having them there with her. Of course Tony agrees because he could practically hear Pepper scold him if he said no and they continue to set everything up while Marinette calls up Alix, Marc and Nathaniel and ask if they want to go with her to New York to go to the Avengers Tower. It takes too long in her opinion to convince them that no. she’s not joking, and yes she is serious.
* Once they get their parents permission they plan to leave on Saturday which would be in two days. It’s a little hectic, especially because Marinette didn’t know if she should take the Miracle Box or not but in the end she decides to leave it with her mom and dad, aka the new Turtle and Fox heroes of Paris. They had found out she was Ladybug a little after she had become the Guardian because she had broken down. Everything had become too much for her and Tikki couldn’t stand to see her chosen like that so she told Tom and Sabine that their daughter was Ladybug.
* Marinette was going to take the Horse, Mouse, and of course, Ladybug Miraculous, to New York though. Her mom promised that she would text her or call her as soon as she could if they spotted or heard an akuma, and that they would fight it off until she got there.
* When Marinette and her friends get to New York and meet Tony, he can tell they’ve fought in a fight children shouldn’t have to, but he doesn’t know how to ask about it so he pushes it back till he can think of a way to approach the subject. He immediately takes a liking to Marinette, he can tell she’s smart for her age, and he just likes her energy.
* Then Tony introduces them to his Minions and Peter, Ned, and Harley all have a collective freakout because they are meeting THE MDC. MJ is, of course, happy too but she can at least keep her cool when meeting the designer who made Jagged Stone’s iconic Eiffel Tower sunglasses, the one who designed his Rock Giant album art, and the one who made his Roaring Dragon Jacket! Peter asks Marinette if she can sign his copy of the album and Tony thinks it’s all down hill from there. He can see the kid’s blush from across the room.
* The consultation happens and Pepper is just as surprised as Tony was when she learns MDC is only 16 but she hides it fairly well. Both are pleasantly surprised by Marinette’s professionalism and are pleased with the overall talk about what they want out of the design. Tony even manages to squeeze in another suit for Peter because he knows the kid and he is not letting him wear a rented tux to his wedding.
* Tony and Pepper have dinner with the kids and the Minions and it’s decided that they can stay for the summer, and no Pepper don’t look at Tony like that it’s not because he’s trying to help Peter get a date for the wedding.
* Then Marinette meets the Avengers. Thor loves her, but like who doesn’t Thor love? And who doesn’t love Thor? She is super interested in learning about Asgard, especially its fashion and she even talks Thor into giving her some fabric samples to work with. He just loves her enthusiasm and he appreciates her letting him talk about his home and his people. Marc and Nathaniel get a great picture of the two of them sitting on Thor’s flexed arms. Marc also loves to hear about Thor’s home and people and Nathaniel loves to draw him and those he talks about.
Natasha accidentally sneaks up on Marinette, she never means to do it, it is just how she is, so when this little girl turns around in a flash with a pencil held in her fist as a weapon her eyes narrowed looking for the danger, she is suprised and has to stop her own reflexes from sweeping the girls legs from under her. She respects Marinette’s reflexes and the two spar and Marinette tells her she used to do ballet when Natasha asks her why her turns and spins almost seem like she’s doing a dance and Natasha’s eyes light up. The two bond over ballet
Bucky, Clint, and Steve meet her one morning when they go to the kitchen and find so many goodies to eat and see this tiny little girl singing to herself as she pulls muffins out of the oven. She turns to them and smiles and says good morning before introducing herself so they do as well. When Steve introduces himself her eyes narrow and she hisses out, “YOU.” He’s so confused until she starts tearing into him about him hero suit. Bucky and Clint of course love this moment and will cherish it forever.
She meets Bruce and he’s heard of this little terror from Steve and he’s thinking she’s going to tear into Hulk about wearing only shorts but then she’s shaking his hand and saying it’s an honor to meet you Dr. Banner, apparently she’s read some of his papers. And Bruce can’t help but smile for the rest of the day.
When Wanda meets her she just hugs the little girl for a while because she hadn’t meant to see how her ex friends had treated her back in Paris but she did and this child needed a hug. Marinette had just been asking what material her jacket was made out of so they had touched briefly, then she was being hugged, but she didn’t mind, she figured maybe Wanda was having an off day and needed a hug.
Vision had just looked at Marinette and said, “Miraculous.” nobody knew what he meant but Marinette did and she just put a finger to her lips with her eyes wide with panic. Thankfully he got what she was trying to say and gave her a nod and small smile.
Tony said there was more people for her to meet but she would have the whole summer to do that so she was content.
* Then the first akuma alert went off when they were there in New York. Marinette thought everyone was sleeping when she created the portal and leapt through...she didn’t know how wrong she was.

Please Don't Leave Me (3)
Pairing: Bucky Barnes X Reader
Warnings: Brief mentions of blood/injury (nothing in too much detail), bad writing?
Summary: New information is discovered
A/N: So this is part 3/4! There will be one more part to this! You all are the best! Thank you so much for the kind words and support on this fic! Also, I hope I didn't miss anyone on my taglist, but if I did I'm so sorry!!
Word Count: 1250
-
The first thing you felt was cold. So cold. Your whole body felt numb until you registered the pain. It radiated all over your body. You groaned and tried to move to alleviate some of the pain, but you barely moved an inch. You were pinned down. You coughed as dust entered your lungs before opening your eyes to figure out your surroundings.
Darkness. By now you realized it was rubble from the building pressing on top of you and you tried shifting again, feeling a little bit more give this time.
You vaguely remembered you almost made it out before the building collapsed. You had run as fast as you could, somehow making it to the door you had entered through before everything came crashing down on you. Just a second too late, but by some miracle, you were still alive.
By all odds, you should be dead. Long dead. You tried not to focus on that fact as you struggled for a bit. Mustering up all of your remaining strength, you managed to drag yourself out from the rubble covering you and into the snow.
“Okay. I definitely have a concussion.” You muttered to yourself as you self-assessed. You managed to get yourself standing despite your dizziness. Taking a step forward, a jolt of pain shot from your ankle sending you back to the snowy ground with a yelp.
“Probably a broken ankle” You winced. “Don’t know how long I’ve been out or how much blood I’ve lost.” You noted as you felt the back of your head and felt more blood.
You pulled your phone out of your pocket and cursed as you realized not only was it dead and the screen was cracked. Just your luck. Alive but stranded with no way to get in touch with the team.
“No sign of the jet and it’s dark out…” You mumbled as you looked around. “Great.”
Even in your weakened state, you knew you couldn’t stay there. You had to get in touch with the team somehow and get help. The nearest town was at least 4 miles away. With your injuries, that trip would not end well.
Steve had mentioned some cabins which were scattered in the woods where people would stay for the winter. Why anyone would be willing to stay here during this time of year puzzled you, but it was your best chance despite how risky it was.
You got yourself back up and hobbled to the tree line, wincing the whole way whenever you had to put weight on your ankle. From there, you used the trees to support yourself. You moved slowly as you used the trees to take the pressure off your broken ankle.
Everything ached. Your ankle was hurting progressively more as you continued on. Your head started pounding as well. Your body didn’t seem to want to continue on, but you were determined. You had to get home. You had to get back to Bucky.
Your heart broke knowing how worried he must be about you. You hadn’t checked in like normal. For all you knew, the whole team thought you were dead.
Your breaks were starting to get longer and, despite your best efforts, it was getting difficult to keep going. You sat down in the snow. The cold had slowly stopped bothering you which you knew wasn’t a good sign. Your body was screaming at you at this point. A break couldn’t hurt.
“Just five minutes.” You muttered to yourself, closing your eyes. Five minutes and then you would continue on in search of the cabins. Just five minutes...
~
Your body jolted you awake and you winced as pain shot back through you. You wanted to go back to sleep. Your dreams had been filled with Bucky. Your Bucky. What you wouldn’t do to have him here right now. You missed him. He was the best boyfriend you could’ve asked for.
Looking up at the night sky you smiled slightly as you remembered your first date with Bucky. He had taken you up to the roof to stargaze. It had been a fun night with both of you sharing stories and lots of laughter.
You and Bucky had been close friends before you had started dating which made it more natural of a transition. Both of you had unknowingly been harboring crushes on the other for months before Steve, Sam, Nat, and Wanda had gotten involved. Between the four of them, they’d managed to get you two to admit your feelings for each other. The rest was history.
“Gotta get back to Bucky.” You muttered to yourself and took a deep breath before dragging yourself back up. You could only imagine how he was acting right now. If the team thought you were dead he must be devastated and heartbroken. You couldn’t have that.
You forced yourself to keep moving forward. You had to get back to Bucky and your friends. This was your motivation as your body protested further.
Finally, a cabin came into view. Smoke was coming from the chimney and a soft, inviting glow was coming through the windows. You almost cried tears of joy at the sight.
“Help!” You weakly called out as you collapsed to the ground, the snow breaking your fall. Your exhaustion was catching up with you, your body finally starting to shut down completely.
“Help!” you called out again as you tried to drag yourself closer. You didn’t know if they had heard you. You couldn’t quit now! You called out one more time as your vision got blurry and your eyes started to close. You tried to keep them open but eventually, they got too heavy.
“I’m coming, Bucky, I promise.” You mumbled as your head finally rested in the snow. The last thing you saw was the front door opening before everything went black.
~
They were halfway through the debriefing when FRIDAY interrupted causing everyone to exchange looks of confusion.
“Pardon the interruption, but this seemed important.” The AI started to explain as the images on the screen switched over. “I’ve been scanning the hospital databases in the same area as the base as requested and someone with the same description as Ms. L/N has been admitted as a Jane Doe.” She showed a picture of the hospital and its location before continuing.
“The injuries listed match what we expect Ms. L/N would have sustained. Apparently, this person was brought in by a couple staying in one of the cabins that were near the base. I can’t get a definitive answer if it is her or not. I wasn’t able to tap into the surveillance system.”
“We’ll check out that lead, thanks FRIDAY.” Steve quickly replied, gathering the files he had and jumping to his feet. He was hopeful it was you. All the signs pointed to it being you.
“You’re welcome, Captain Rogers. The coordinates are already programmed into one of the quinjets.” She answered.
“Nat, Sam, you’re with me. Let’s go.” Steve ordered. The two fell into line with him as they walked towards the hangar.
“Should we tell, Barnes?” Nat asked. “You know it’s got to be her, right? There’s no way it’s a coincidence.”
“We can let him know when we get back. I don’t want to get his hopes up on the off chance it’s not her.” Steve explained.
Nat and Sam both nodded as they followed him onto the jet and set out to find the truth.

HIRAETH
Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Main Masterlist
Tensions were high in the conference room. Nothing had ever been the same since the fight that was dubbed as the ‘civil war’. It was petty and stupid, really. Plenty of things could’ve been done to avoid it and there were larger matters at hand that needed to be managed.
Evil never takes breaks. That was something the Avengers had to learn when missions went from monthly to weekly to almost daily. Breaks were rare and if they did occur, most were spent resting--or attempting to rest. The things they saw were literal nightmare fuel. It was a miracle they were still properly functioning.
It wasn’t a surprise when they were called into the conference room. It was an all-hands-on-deck situation that required any childish squabbles to be put to rest for a moment.
Shocking enough, Tony and Steve weren’t actively trying to bite each other’s heads off. The most that had occurred was a couple of dirty glances or cold shoulders. The fact that a major contribution to their ‘civil war’ was sitting at the table wasn’t particularly helping anyone either.
“You know, for someone who has died a lot you sure do look alive and well.”
Fury rolled his one good eye at the sly comment as he walked in with his long trench coat trailing behind him. It wasn’t unusual for the billionaire to make witty and sarcastic remarks, but they could tiring very, very quickly.
With quick hands, the former director grabbed a USB from his pocket and connected it to the laptop that was conveniently placed at the head of the table. Once fully loaded, a video popped up.
It was obviously bodycam footage. From whose perspective they didn’t know. As the person walked through dingy hallways in some sort of base, they reached a door that stood out against the decaying walls around it.
A gun was raised as the door was pushed open. Searching the area, the agent found a figure that was lingering in the shadows. The weapon was then cocked; ready to use.
“Come out.”
The redhead immediately rolled her eyes at the scene. Apparently, this was some rookie that didn’t know what the hell they were doing. She could count five mistakes that were made in just one second.
A heavy breath sounded throughout the four concrete walls. Suddenly the agent fell, causing the perspective of the camera to become one of an ant. Choked breaths were heard, the agent obviously struggling to get air into their lungs.
A barefoot timidly made its way in the view before a body followed. What they could only assume to be the prisoner crouched down and glared at the camera with chilling eyes. A flash of purple struck their vision before the screen turned to static.
“The agent was found dead in that cell,” the former director started. “I was told that the cause of death was cardiac arrest.”
Glances were passed throughout the room.
“There was no history of heart complications, no marks that would indicate drugs that could have possibly been injected during that time, nothing. Their heart just stopped.”
And they thought they had seen everything.
Moments of silence had passed; each hero being left to dwell on their thoughts.
“I thought that base was supposed to be abandoned.”
Steve was instantly intrigued, to say the least. The hero out of time had his fair share of Hydra and wanted it gone. Permanently.
But as they always say, “Cut off one head, and two will take its place.”
“It was. It was a simple recon mission; only one agent was really needed.”
“Until it wasn’t,” the billionaire muttered.
The captain looked at the man with a frown that seemed to be etched on his face 24/7 as of late.
“Is everything a joke to you?”
“Funny things are.”
Natasha rolled her eyes for the fifteenth time in the last five minutes. The two of those were constantly at each other’s throats. You’d think after the whole war between the team, they would have attempted to make amends or compromise.
God, this sexual tension is infuriating.
Wanda snickered, the sound muffled due to her hand hovering above her mouth.
“Is there something you’d like to add, Maximoff?”
The young woman frowned at the self-proclaimed leader of the bunch.
Steve had been so uptight lately, she thought his nipples were going to eventually tear through those tight shirts of his.
But alas, that hadn’t happened (yet).
It was just the thought; a silly little thought that kept her going through all of the stress from the past few months.
“No problem, captain.”
Wanda wasn’t very fond of this attitude--hell none of them were.
The fights between the playboy and the ‘man out of time’ were downright childish and unnecessary, annoying the team to no end.
Well, were they even a team anymore? Cause they sure didn’t act like it.
They were no longer each other’s family and deep, deep down they knew that it would be their downfall.
“Figure out what the hell happened.”
The swoosh of Fury’s long-ass coat seemed louder than it usually was. Maybe that’s because there was no sound other than the ticking of the clock and the air conditioner. Maybe it was the lack of arguing that typically occurred in this room.
Either way, not one of the eleven people, gods, synthezoids, whatever, could bring themselves to even open their mouths. They couldn’t speak because it was as if the tension that lingered sat on their chests, restricting their lungs from expanding. It was as if the compartmentalized and leftover emotions were in a box that was jammed in their throats, prohibiting so much as a squeak to escape. Perhaps that is why Tony stood and left the room because he knew that his family--if he could call them that--could read him best. And he didn’t want anyone to read every single emotion that swirled through his eyes.
It was like a game of following the leader began. One by one, everyone left, and soon, the room was empty except for the barely-filled files and the video repeatedly playing in the background.

Hell Froze Over - Pt.1
The Good (and Fast) Samaritan
Type: mini-series to a series (part 1 & part 2 & part 3 & part 4),  Avenger!reader AU.
Pairing: Steve Rogers x reader       Word count: 2750
Summary: There’s a new enhanced on a scene, showing up at places of the Avengers’ fights. She’s fast. Really, really fast. And Wanda can’t read her mind.
So far, she has been helping. But surely it’s only a matter of time before she switches switch sides – otherwise she would have approached you instead of speeding away.
You had a problem. And you needed a solution.
Warnings: violence and blood, mention of multiple characters’ death (the Snap), a bit of inuendo and language… oh and extreme fluff
A/N: This part of Melting Hearts’ verse follows after everyone was brought after the Snap. The majority of the story was written after A:IW, soooo, there are no references to Endgame and there’s canon divergence. They somehow saved them all, without building a damn time machine and all that. Just run with it ;)

Aliens.
Why was it always aliens?
And extremely annoying ones on top of that.
They had freaking tentacles – or multiple limbs, whatever they called it. The thing was, they had four ‘arms’, which made them incredibly handful, pun definitely intended. And what was making it worse? Once you cut off one limb, two grew in its place.
More than once during the fight, in which New Yorkers were being terrorized again, you wondered if these particular creatures, aka Tentacles, had been on Earth before, possibly meeting Hydra. You couldn’t imagine the Nazis’ organization getting the inspiration for their motto anywhere else, Greek myths be damned.
Apparently, these aliens loved going after Captain America too. Then again, they generally didn’t seem to be fond of the group of superhumans standing in their way of invading this planet, so perhaps Steve was not special in that respect.
Pinning two Tentacles to a wall by spray of thick icicles, you allowed yourself to breathe in after a long time. If you were being honest, you wouldn’t mind if Tentacles were the ones whose population would stay with the half of them erased from existence by Thanos. Seriously. They were obviously dickheads.
Taking few more breaths, indulging the feeling of having time to do so, you scanned your surroundings; the fight was definitely going your way, the aliens falling one after another, but the damage to the area was immense. It was a miracle no building had collapsed yet, but you had a hunch it wouldn’t take long. Wanda was helping with removing the civilians out of the harm’s way with her mental powers, but several blocks had been hit. You hadn’t had your eyes on her for a while now.
Hearing a roar by your right, you were immediately back to the highest alert. Tentacle no.39 was not coming your way though; it went after Natasha. You sent an icicle right through the creature’s belly, killing it at instant. Nat just nodded your way and threw herself back into the fight. You did the same.
Your whole body hurt, burning with exhaustion, but you knew you had to keep going. Even when a warning pinch bit the base of your spine; you were getting really fed up with this whole fail-safe trigger, because in moments like this, you simply couldn’t allow yourself to stop fighting in order to be fine. You were supposed to push yourself to your very limits, because lives were at stake.
Unfortunately, you didn’t have a choice.
You slowed down a little, trying to stay closer to Steve who was the nearest. He must have caught up on you pulling back, because he stated fighting with more ferocity – one you weren’t sure where he got from.
You noticed he didn’t have his helmet anymore and it made you bite the bullet and throw yourself back into the fight despite knowing the pain would only grow with time and at one point, it would paralyze you. But Steve had lost his fucking helmet again and he had the armour for reason goddammit!
And then, all of sudden, the battle was over. Car alarms blared all around you, smoke rising to the sky, flames licking anything they reached; you did your best to put the fire out. It was why you didn’t notice it at first – the loud creak of metal tens feet away, but then the concrete started screaming, just like the people.
You snapped your head that way, only to see a restaurant collapsing onto itself.
With people still in it.
You acted on instinct, sending the thickest layer of ice you could summon to slow down the falling debris, seeing a flush of red energy heading the same way. You felt the crushing weight of the building almost on your shoulders.
And the very same moment, you could also see that in a blink, there were no people underneath it.
They were gone; more specifically, several feet nearby, staring as incredulously as you were. Feeling unbearable sting in your back, you allowed yourself to let go, Wanda following your example.
Unlike the civilians, you knew all too well what happened. But your eyelids felt too heavy and you were too tired to be annoyed; in fact, you were grateful, because you didn’t know how long you would have been able to hold the improvised barrier.
You mentally thanked the girl who got all the people out in what seemed like a split second.
Dark spots danced in front of your eyes, your knees getting wobbly. The world threated to sway out of its place and you knew you were about to fold like a house of cards, only to wake up seconds later. It wouldn’t be the first time.
But you didn’t hit the ground. Strong arms enwrapped you securely, pulling you to your Captain’s chest, supporting you as much as you needed. You closed your eyes and breathed through the dizziness.
“Hey, it’s okay, I got you. It’s over, you can rest. But stay with me, alright?” Steve’s voice reached you from a terrible distance, slowly getting closer as you were gradually regaining your strength. The vibrations of his words caressed your own torso and you blinked your eyes open. “There you go, Snowflake. Let’s wrap it up here, okay?”
You just nodded, looking up to his face gratefully. He gave you a small smile in acknowledgement of your wordless ‘thank you for not letting me fall’.
“She was here again,” you mumbled and Steve grimaced as he cautiously let you off his embrace.
“Yeah. I know.”
────── ·❆· ──────
You all entered the conference room slowly, some of you barely standing on your feet. It was a miracle you didn’t have to drag each other in here. After a long time of scrunching your nose at it, you reached for the energizing drink specially designed for you just like everyone else.
While no one had suffered a serious injury – serious on the Avengers’ scale, things like the cut on Steve’s forehead didn’t count –, you were all ready to just have a shower and go to bed. But no. Being an Avenger meant you couldn’t. It meant that if the work wasn’t finished, you couldn’t get rest.
You dropped into one of the comfy chairs, Steve’s body making a muffled thud as he chose the one next to you. If even Captain America was dead on his feet, things were bad.
You pushed yourself up, sitting up straight to inspect the gash on his smooth skin. It was already healing and you knew he had it treated (by you, at least), but the drying bloody line on his head just wouldn’t let you relax.
Your fingertips carefully brushed alongside it, wary of not applying any pressure. Steve smiled at you faintly.
“Snowflake, it’s okay.”
His hand caught your wrist tenderly, pulling it away.
“How did you manage to get it anyway? How did you lose your helmet again?” you questioned. He bit his lip and looked almost apologetically. Naturally, that had you frowning. “Steve-“
“He was getting too close to--- to them, alright? I admit I didn’t quite see the other three coming-“
You gritted your teeth, torn between admiring his heroics as he defended the civilians and clipping round his ear for having a tunnel-like vision and not looking around properly before jumping to the rescue.
In the end, you just huffed, letting your hand slip from his grasp.
You carefully eyed the rest of the team, glad you found Wanda mothering Vision and Bruce checking Natasha once again, while Tony, Sam and Clint were on the phone. It put a smile on your face as you saw Bucky fumbling with his phone as well – you knew he had started seeing a woman from accounting here and now he was probably wondering if he should let her know he was fine.
“We make a good team. Taking minor risks is worth it,” Steve whispered, straightening in his chair in favour of dropping a kiss to your forehead. You closed your eyes contentedly at the pure and innocent display of affection.
When his lips lingered, his hand brushing your jaw and he inhaled the smell of your shampoo – if there was any smell left after the fight and debris flying around –, his breath faltering, a realization dawned to you.
He hadn’t lost his helmet when defending some civilians, had he?
Steve wouldn’t let himself to be distracted enough to be jumped when protecting civilians. Never. He only lost his focus when protecting the people he loved. Mainly the ones he had lost before, in the Snap or otherwise; if he could help it, his gaze never left you on the battlefield, simply too scared you would disappear in a blink of an eye. He might be getting less anxious about it lately, but it was always in the back of his mind; having your loved ones wiped off by a snap of fingers and seeing them fall to ashes did that to a person.
Not that you would know – you were among the ones who disappeared.
But Steve knew. He saw it happen to you, Bucky, Sam…. And he could only watch. Nothing he could do stop it. You still remembered the burn of in the base of your spine as your powers fought to freeze the process of your body disintegrating, watching in horror as many of your friends did – and that you were about to meet the same fate. Just as helpless as Steve was.
“…I’m just stalling, Steve. I know it and you know it too. I should— I should let go-“
“No! No, Snowflake, you stay and fight-“ he practically growled, gripping your wrists with enough strength to bruise them.
“I love you, Steve,” you whispered in response, feeling your whole body trembling in both exertion and fear. You didn’t want to leave. You didn’t want this to be your end.
The wild haunted look in Steve’s eye only made you shudder further, a painful twist to your gut.
“No-“
“Please, say it back,” you pleaded, swallowing your tears and the scream that was threatening to erupt from your throat. The burn, fuck, the burn… you couldn’t hold it any longer.
“NO! You fight this!”
Lips trembling, you understood you wouldn’t get the last love declaration you craved. You closed your eyes.
“Goodbye, Steve.”
“NO!” he yelled, pulling you to him, bodies aligned as he wrapped an arm around you, holding you impossibly close. “You--- sweetheart, please. I love you. I can’t-“
“Thank you,” you sobbed, breathing in his scent, feeling the coarse material of his worn uniform, revelling in the warmth of his touch… and you let go.
The last thing you heard was him, choking on a desperate shriek of your name.
The memory and the sheer wonder about what it must have been like for him almost brought tears into your eyes. Again.
Could you really be mad at him for being reckless?
“Thank you for saving me,” you whispered, hearing his breath hitch. You opened your eyes, only to see his resigned ones as he guesses you figured out the truth.
“No ‘you idiot’, huh?”
“No. Not this time. I can see you’re fine. You’re allowed to look out for me as long as you walk away relatively unharmed.”
“Lucky me,” he murmured and kissed you lightly on your lips, tasting after the sickeningly sweet energy drink. You couldn’t say you minded.
“I love you, Steve. I care for you too. Nothing wrong with that,” you hummed lovingly, gazing into his eyes, the rest of the world be damned. “So yeah. Thank you.”
His blues got their vivid spark back, the corners of his lips rising inconspicuously. “Always. And I love you too.”
“You two are sickening,” Bucky noted close to your ear and you honest to god yelped, almost falling off your chair.
Bucky receded with silent laugh and while you clutched at your chest, your heart too frantic in your ribcage, you noticed Steve rolled his eyes at his friend fondly.
“Lefty here has a point,” Tony hummed, making you huff and turn to the big screen as it lit up with news feed.
There were already so many images and videos on the internet that it was scary. Why people hunted down good shots instead of running away?
Unsurprisingly, Tony froze the frame in which a blur of dark blue could be seen. Hint: it was neither you nor Steve in his stealth suit.
No. It was the enhanced girl. The fast one. The one you knew too little about to your comfort.
“Hate to say it, but things could have got ugly without the Rush-girl rushing in,” Tony announced and you scoffed, mainly because you felt like he was nudging your conscience.
It felt like he was blaming you, seeing you wouldn’t have been able to hold the falling debris for long enough. You were sure Tony wouldn’t blame you, since he knew all too well you simply couldn’t beat it; after all he had been the one to install your fail-safe, preventing you hurting yourself. But you also knew he didn’t like the thought of anyone else getting hurt because of it either.
The thing was it always went like this with this enhanced girl. She would show up, help the Avengers and then puff, she was gone. No trace. Except for the people she saved. The ones you might have failed to save unless she had come.
You forced yourself to drift away from the dark thoughts.
“Tony, your nicknames are getting more ridiculous with each try,” you remarked, earning a few hums in agreement from around the table.
“I can go back to naming you if you want… Popsicle. I bet Cap here got the memo and he loves to lick and s-”
“Stark!” Steve lashed out at him, his cheeks getting an unhealthy shade of red. You choked on your own spit.
You were pretty happy with Tony somewhat reconciling with Steve (and you and others), okay, but his jokes were sometimes too much. He really was pushing it.
“Go to hell, Metalbrain,” you muttered under your breath, feeling your ears burning.
Also, yes. Yes, Steve got the memo. So did you. But you didn’t need to talk about it in front of everyone, thank you very much.
“Cute blush you have here. I hit the nail on the head, eh?” Tony continued, earning a murderous glare from Steve, who certainly was sporting a remarkable blush.
“Tony!” you called out, not less horrified than your significant other.
“Trust the advice of the elder – biologically older anyway. Hate to break it to you, but that’s not how you make a kid. Then again maybe that’s the point-“
“Tony, shut your metal mouth or I swear to god I will tell Pepper you’re being a pervert.”
A look of pure horror appeared on his face and you couldn’t help but smile smugly. This always worked.
The thing was Tony would know how to get a girl pregnant; Pepper Potts lived to tell the tale. She was in her twenty-seventh week, after all; and her hormones were misbehaving. Big time. Her emotions were like on a roller-coaster lately and no one with a shred of brain wanted to be on her bad side, ever, let alone now.
Needless to mention Pepper Potts was a strong woman, capable of handling herself, being in control. She wasn’t quite in control of herself now and what was even worse, she always had been the more rational part of the Stark and Potts-Stark duo, keeping Tony’s impulsiveness in check. Once again, not now. And it was driving her insane.
So yeah, threatening Tony with snitching him to Pepper always worked these days. It was even mean of you. Then again, Tony was being extremely pervert today, venting his frustration on you and you did not like it at all.
“Ouch. Low blow, Popsicle, low blow,” Tony said darkly, before his expression turned gleeful again. “See what I did there with the blow--- never mind, I have a place to be. Bye, kids!”
Tony took his abrupt escape, disappearing from the room, and you sighed heavily. You massaged the bridge of your nose, feeling your face burning with embarrassment. The rest of the team pretended not to watch you highly amused.
“He’s an actual infant— no, he’s worse,” you stated, your voice a little too high-pitched.
“That’s hardly any news. Now, can we pay attention to the actual problem?” Natasha interjected, switching back to professional mood.
“Sure. Let’s talk more about the Rush-girl,” Clint hummed, a smirk on his lips.
A collective groan was the answer, but you did start working.

meeting the fam
where y/n meets the peters second family (the avengers)
pairing: peter x fem!reader
status: just started dating
its been 3 weeks since peter and y/n started dating, they've been friends since august and after 5 months of knowing eachother, he FINALLY asked her out in new years, which couldn't be any perfect than what y/n imagined.
Peters been talking to Mr Stark about y/n the minute he had the chance to, one day Sam heard Peter not so subtly talk about his new girlfriend to his mentor.
"oh Mr Stark, she told me that she NEVER watched Star Wars because she never had somebody to watch it with, she said she knew she'd like it but she needed someone to fangirl with" Peter explains with his hands in the air while tony is fixing a device.
"and my stupid ass said I can fangirl with you, coz I'm like a Star Wars geek, and after I blurted that out, I thought she'd ditch me for good, but she didn't, YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAID? she said she likes a man who's not afraid to say what he likes! I knew then that we would be somethin-"
"yOu lIkE a gIRl?" Sam blurts out cutting peter off.
and suddenly Thor comes behind Sam "since uh *puts a finger up* when?" *A/N: see what i did there ;)* peter looked at Thor confusedly.
"no guys, they're dating keep up" Tony says not looking away from his work
"ThEyrE DaTiNG??" they both scream, eyes wide, and mouths parted slightly.
"is it that hard to believe I have a girlfriend?" peter asks suddenly offended
"who has a girlfriend?" Steve finally entered. Sam and Thor wanted to explain the what they call 'miracle' but before they could say anything:
"peter, you old Capsicle" Bucky out of nowhere buts in.
"how'd you know?" Sam asks
"lets say the walls between the lab and mini kitchen is verrrry thin" Bucky replies stretching the 'really', peter looked at the floor blushing madly, walking slowly about to leave the lab
"now where do you think you're going, tell me more about your little Juliet, Romeo"
🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸
Peters POV
so last Saturday I was LITERALLY being harassed with questions regarding me having a girlfriend, and to shut them up about it I had to introduce them to her, which is a bit nerve-racking, but hopefully y/n agrees.
I was in the elevator trying to figure out a way to tell y/n about the news. The elevator dinged and I kept whispering different sentence trying to find the right one to use.
I took the keys out of my pocket which makes a loud jigly sound since the floor is empty and makes every noise echo, but before  Iunlock the door, it swings open revealing a very happy y/n jumping at me crossing her legs around my torso and smothering me with light kisses all over my face and neck which makes me laugh.
"well hello to you too" i laugh, kissing her nose and she laughs.
"we can use words later, now i want AFFECTIONNNN and CUDDLESSS" she screams running to my room.
"use words later huh?" I smirk putting my keys and wallet on my desk.
"not like thaatttt, what happened to the innocent shy peter?" she says slapping my arm.
"he became more comfortable with his girlfriend?" he replies shrugging his shoulders, which made y/n/n smile, knowing I'm more comfortable with her now then before.
after taking my jacket off, she immediately grabs me and pulls us to my bed. I snuggle to her side wrapping my arms around her lower stomach while she plays with my hair and kisses me once in a while.
"happy?" I mumble since my face is close to the fabric of her, well my hoodie.
"very" she mumbles in my hair
y/n's POV
I lowered myself so I can cuddle peter more, I swung my right leg over his torso and snuggled my head to his chest more, so now he would prep me with kisses all over my face or whisper things to my ear, after a few minutes of silence peters calls my name
"yeah?" I reply looking up to see him clearly, his lightly freckled face, and brown doe eyes shining from the little light coming from his lamp, he looked...nervous? I tilted my head confused to why he would be nervous right now
"babe what's wrong?" I ask, both of us sitting now
"uhh" he would still blush and stutter when I give him a pet names, I giggled softly which made him focus again.
"I was talking to Mr Stark the other day..about..you and I didnt know Sam heard me, but he did then basically the whole compound knew I had a girlfriend, I-I tried to make them stop bombarding me with questions about us buttheywouldonlystopifiintroducedyoutothemsonowtheyexpecttoseeyoutomorrow" he blurts out nervously, he obviously looked scared of what I would say but then he continued "AND I know we've only dated for 3 weeks now and its too soon but I couldn't stop them-"
"PETER! its ok I'd love to meet your second family" I say smirking in the end and he blushed. I was obviously nervous, its the AVENGERS for Thors sake, but he was too nervous I didn't want to cause more pressure for him.
"o-ok! so you're ok with meeting them tomorrow?" he makes sure.
"yess, definitely" I say smiling, he looked at me happily and lunged at me kissing all over my face.
"you *kiss* are *kiss* the *kiss* best" he says looking at me adoringly, and then we carried on cuddling which lead to me sleeping at his place.
🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸
I woke up to peter humming a song while touching my hair ever so lightly, I opened my eyes and saw probably the most handsome morning face I've ever seen.
"good morning" peter says with his raspy morning voice, he hates his morning voice he says its 'too manly' but I think its pretty hot.
"morningggg" I reply with a cheery tone, I wiggled out of his grasp which only made him hug me tighter, "pete, I need to stretch my limbs are stiff from the same position all night!" I giggle, then he finally released me from his comforting embrace.
suddenly peter had a sugar-rush-like energy and lunged out of the bed, did a couple of stretches in a funny way and went to greet his stunning aunt with a kiss on her head, before I went to greet aunt may I changed to something lighter than his hoodie, HIS SHIRT!
After changing, I went to the kitchen, greeted aunt may, and hugged peter from behind "you lookin sexy today" I whispered to hiM trying to make him blush, which worked!
"y/nnn" he whisper shouted, and hid his face.
"now would any of you like to explain why my nephew is very happy today? or is it just because his girlfriend spent the night?" may smirks. oh she definitely knows how to make peter blush.
"oh *laughs* I'm meeting the avengers today!" I say jumping slightly, may was freaking out with me and we started actually jumping up and down, while peter stared at us laughing
"well c'mon we're eating breakfast there!"
🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸
while we were walking to the compound peter sensed my nerves and held my hand reassuringly, I gave him the 'thank you' look and he smiled in return.
once we entered the compound, the cool air brushed my face lightly, there were little squeaks coming out from our sneakers while we're walking, but then peter stopped and looked at me smirking.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y?" peter asks softly.
"yes Mr parker?" the A.I replies and I was completely blown away.
"where's Mr Stark and the others?"
"Mr Stark is in his lab and the rest are in the main living room"
"ok thanks F.R.I.D.A.Y...OH and meet my girlfriend y/n" he says
"well hello there Mrs Parker" F.R.I.D.A.Y says, I looked at peter confusedly and he had the same expression and cheeks turned crimson red.
"uh hey F.R.I.D.A.Y" I say waving awkwardly to no one.
"uhm F.R.I.D.A.Y? who programmed you to call y/n  M-Mrs Parke-er ??" peter asks clearly embarrassed.
"mister stark did, along with Natasha and Sam" she replies.
"god I'm gonna kill the-"
"Pete its ok" I laugh, rubbing his arms lightly.
once we entered the main living room everyone stopped what they're doing and looked at us
"h-hey guys..uh this is my girlfriend, y/n y/l/n" peter awkwardly introduces me, the room went dead silent, no one was talking they just stared right into my soul the suddenly after a few seconds everybody spoke loudly at the same time trying to introduce themselves first.
"oh my god hi hun! I'm Wanda"
"hello there lady y/n, I am Thor the god of thunder, its a pleasure to meet you"
"oh Don't go all princely on her, she's our cinnamon rolls girlfriend, I'm Nat by the way" she winks
"the name's Clint, also known as Hawkeye"
"James Buchnan Barnes, but you can call me Bucky, doll"
"Steve Rogers *shakes my hand* welcome to the family"
once everybody introduced themselves, peter kept searching around the room, looking for someone, everybody was trying to get to know me more, asking more intimidating questions, but I couldn't pay attention because he looked worried.
so I took his hand softly and rubbed my thumb over his knuckles trying to get his attention, once he looked at me I gave him the 'what's wrong' look.
"hey guys, do you know where Mr Stark is?" Peter finally spoke, bingo he wanted to introduce me to one of the most important people in his life, pressureee, hopefully I could live up to Tony's expectations and he would approve of me,
"he's in his lab" Bruce spoke, pointing at the third door in the hallway.
Once we got to the door, Peter looked at me reassuringly and kissed my head trying to ease my nerves, I gave him a nod telling him I'm ready and he opened the door.
"M-Mr Stark?" peter said, which grabbed Tony's attention, he looked at Peter then his eyes landed on me, he stared at me for a couple of seconds like he was analysing me, then a small smile formed on his lips, That's a good sign, right?
"y/n, its great to finally meet you" he says shaking my hand.
"hello Mr Stark" I say, not knowing what to call him yet so I just decided to be respectful and call him 'Mr Stark' like my boyfriend.
"oh please not you too, call me Tony" he says.
"Tony, love birds breakfast is ready! c'mon Thor's already eating half of the pancakes- wait THOR THOSE ARE FOR Y/N GODDAMNIT" Sam shouts, panicking which makes me laugh a little, tony looked at me, then at peter like he's telling him he approves, which gives me a sense of relief.
when we got to the LARGE dining room everyone was sat in their seats waiting for us three, "finally! the son got his approval from his father!" Sam joke in his awfully attempted baby voice.
"Our baby's all grown up" Wanda says giving him grabby hands to hug him, Peter was madly blushed from embarrassment but still gave Wanda her hug
"wait I want a hug!" Nat interrupts.
"me too!" Thor said, trying to embarrass peter more, which definitely worked. I couldn't help my self from grinning, I loved how the avengers, showed him this much affection.
"well, *stands up from his seat* I wanna hug y/n" tony says in a matter-of-a-fact tone, moving from his chair and hugs me, I obviously hugged back smiling.
"wait- I WANT TO HUG Y/N"
"ME TOO!"
"guys guys, *giggles* stop harassing my girlfriend with affection I think tha'ts MY job" Peter says giving me big hug, kissing my head, I hid my red face in the crook of his neck.
"thank you" I whisper softly
"for what ?" peter replies
"for trusting me to see the most important people in your life, Aunt may, Ned, MJ, and now the Avengers! thank you" I say kissing his neck.
"oh no its the PDA! please don't tell me you guys are THAT type of couple" Bucky says making fake gag noises, which is later interrupted by Steve
"what's PDA?" he asks genuinely curious, Peter face palms and shakes his head
"welcome to the family"
have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening/night!

The Scorch - LOKI- BUCKY mini-fic.
Hi there! I haven’t posted any written works on here for years, so forgive me that my first one back may be a little rusty! I just want to share a small fic I wrote with some of you, hopefully you enjoy.
So its after Endgame, lets forget that Loki dies thanku v much, and Steve doesn’t have his ending either. It’s a lil messy as I’m not great with crossing storylines, I usually just insert the reader into already written ones.. This may eventually lead to a split off between Loki and Bucky, the reader will have to choose who they want! But for now, it’s very Loki based. Lmk if u like, and any suggestions on continuing. Thx:)
Warnings - Violence/use of blades/knives and fire/scalding/burning.
Word count - 4K
It was unimaginable that we would all make it back from Thanos's army, but we knew it was nothing short of a miracle and we were all insanely grateful for this. Tony wasn't the same, his body was withering faster than it would have done before, but he knew that this was nothing that he couldn't seek to fix, seeing as his mind was as quick witted as ever. Barton took off back to his family, bringing Natasha with him for some much-needed time off, though Nat was never one to back down if there was a mission that was needed to be handled. This was the stage that I was at these days.
I hadn't joined the team too soon before the snap, but when I did, I had already lost those dearest to me, finding my home within the Avengers compound thanks to Tony. Though I hadn't seen much of him through the years after the snap, as I was tasked with tailing Rogers, he had always told me that I was welcome at his cabin table with his wife and daughter, making his family such dear friends of mine.
The Avengers compound was my home now, even though Tony had permanently retired from the team, there were a few of us that still worked under Fury, choosing to live there so that we were safe. The Vision and Wanda lived here for now, until such a time that their new home was built, the Captain, Bucky and Sam dropped by from time to time, acting like they didn't want to be a part of any team but always finding themselves socialising happily when they did. Same went for Nat, as she found comfort in Bruce's room sometimes, much to the pretended ignorance of us all. Thor stopped by often, claiming that Norway may be good for comfort, but sometimes he needed the discipline to get him back in his head.
It was on one of these trips that he decided to bring the newest member of the team, his brother, Loki.
"You've got to be kidding me." Steve said, standing with his arms crossed in the lounge. Steve, James, Nat, and I sat within, prepping me for my next assignment in Argentina. "No way is he joining the team."
"Last time I checked you're not even on the team yourself, Captain." He raven-haired man smirked, glancing to me, then back to Steve. I had heard of Loki, mainly from Thor, but it was clear that everyone had some sort of opinion of him, and the majority of it was bad. I had always been intrigued, as before I joined the team, I was hardly the golden child, which was how I came onto Fury's radar in the first place, so I knew what effect the evil expectations had on a person.
"Not officially." He responded, looking down to Nat, "But there are people on the team that will have an issue." Loki then looked to Nat, eyebrows raised, expecting her to agree and wish for him not to join.
"Oh, come on, comrades, Loki is different now, trust me!" Thor smiled, clapping his brother on the back, much to his annoyance, "He's still miserable as ever, but he will fight with us, not against us."
"Fury clearly trusts me enough to allow me to join your little club." He smiled, raising his hands, "I just wish for the place to stay, since my home was blown up and the new home smells of cod." He sneered, looking at Thor's disapproving face. I looked to the faces on those who sat before me, knowing that they all were only here part time either way, realising that perhaps I should speak. I stood, making them all turn to me, Loki's eyes set on mine full of intent.
"Well, I think we should give him a shot." I shrugged, "I was allowed even though I burnt down a city or two, so, I don't see why not." I smiled at Steve, then down to Nat, all showing equally unamused faces, Bucky's especially. It was always odd looking at his face and remembering our past, though in times like this I could see his anger as a simple ruse, knowing that he agreed with me wholeheartedly. "He can come with me to Argentina, as a test run." I suggested, making Bucky scoff.
"No way." He muttered.
"Yeah, I agree, that's a terrible idea." Steve shook his head. I could feel a sense of anger boiling inside me, which wasn't unfounded; they often looked at me like a younger sister, just as they did with Nat, but I supposed as they knew her for longer, they knew that she could handle herself. I could too, they just hadn't seen that yet.
"Tough. He's coming with me." I replied, defying their looks of shock. "God of Mischief, you're with me. Argentina, small hydra starts up, do you think you can handle it?" I had made my way to him at this point, only within a couple of steps of him. He smirked, and suddenly I lost all confidence I had started out with; his eyes looked me up and down, drinking me in in such an intimidating way. He was a god, far more powerful than me, and for whatever reason I really wanted to know him better.
"Of course."
-
As much as I started out wanting to side with the God, one jet ride with him and I already regretted it. I decided to try and get to know him, to ask him some questions about himself, only receiving sarcastic remarks as his responses. I had asked him of his time in New York, though supposing that it was a sore subject I opted to talk about his powers and what he could actually do, as I had only heard, though when he told me that it was nothing that would interest a human, I grew inpatient. He wished to play around, not to let me know him at all, and so I decided to just stop talking.
"Your eyes, do they relate to your talents?" He then asked after nearly half an hour of silence. I nearly completely ignored him, feeling that similar rage that I had attempted to defend this guy, and all he repaid me in was rudeness.
"Kind of." I replied, not wishing to talk any more.
"Well, they are beautiful." He commented, taking me by surprise. This of course wasn't the only compliment I have ever had on my eyes, the gold sheen often took people by surprise, but why on earth did he think that it was appropriate to say now?
"Why won't you answer any of my questions about you?" I then asked, taking the attention off his own question. He was silent for a minute, "I took a chance taking you along, I could have said no."
"Don't act like you have done me a favour, I could find somewhere else to live if I needed to." He scoffed, angering me further. My knuckles tightened around the jets steering, trying to keep it together.
"I have done you a favour, you clearly want in this group or you wouldn't have shown up." I retorted, "Is it so bad that I want to know you a little more? We're both the odd ones out-"
"You do not know what it is like being me." He interrupted, gaining his own anger now, "Do not pretend you do, you are just a human with some magic tricks." I watched from the corner of my eye as he rolled his eyes, slouching back in his seat, "Tricks that I have not even seen, by the way, so please try not to need saving too much while we complete this mission."
I closed my mouth, not wishing for my anger to get the better of me just yet. I knew that I had to contain it and utilise it for the mission, so that I didn't have to rely on Loki at all. I felt a sudden rush of wanting to prove the god wrong.
"I really wanted to like you; you know." I said through gritted teeth, thankfully seeing our landing destination only a few miles ahead.
"And I knew that I wouldn't like you." He replied, his smirk heard through his words.
-
We stood either side of a large brick gateway, glancing behind it and trying to determine the best course of play. It was just a small branch of Hydra still floating around, those that had disappeared in the snap and had returned in a way to start up their resources again. There was a group of maybe fifteen men surrounding the compound, this compound that really was in the middle of nowhere and took us all of thirty minutes to sneak up to the gate, I looked over to Loki.
"You shapeshift, right?" I whisper-shouted, remembering Thor's stories of his brother turning to a snake. He nodded, face screwed, "Get one of those uniforms, take me in as prisoner." I suggested, watching as the cogs then whirred in his mind. "It's the easiest way." I tried to prompt him further.
"I don't like easy." He responded, then beginning to smirk, "I want to see your tricks." He motioned his hand to the gate, wishing for me to go in first. I furrowed my brows, allowing his arrogance to make my anger grow.
"Oh man, I really don't like you." I growled, coming to smirk after however, "But, if you insist."
I reached my hands over my shoulders to take a hold of my swords, watching Loki's eyes watch me as I pulled them in front of me, allowing my eyes to glint and set both blades alight. It was true that I had turned cities to ash before, and now it was clear to him that I had seriously and literally burnt them down. I turned, running as fast as I could into the sandy compound, managing to get near to the centre before any of them managed to turn their guns to me; before two of them could I allowed for my leg to spin out, spouting flames from the pad of my foot, catching the three that stood closest to me. They fell to the floor, rolling to get the burning away from them as their comrades began to shoot; I spun my swords in a way to deflect those bullets that came for me. Knowing that I couldn't stay on the ground any longer I pushed my legs, flinging me up about ten metres, coming down behind two of them and slicing their backs with my blades.
I could hear the fast footsteps of one of them attempting to come from behind, though he was stopped as I pointed my blade towards him, watching as the flames that encased the metal emerged from its tip to then surround the man. I smirked; it had felt good to get back in the action. I turned, quickly throwing one blade into the chest of another, running towards him and retrieving it from him before I spun the other, throwing those bullets back towards two others. I turned to look as two had retreated within, presumably to warn the others that worked inside; at this point I wondered if Loki had disappeared, or if he was simply lying-in wait for me to be done, either way, I heard the steps of more men barrelling towards me at pace. I threw my blades at two of them to my sides, one going through a chest, the other a stomach, leaving the last man coming for me head on.
He threw the first punch, easily missed by a duck to the right, and with only a knee to the stomach and an elbow to the back, the man was on the floor. I knew that these new hydra agents weren't going to be up to scratch, but I found it almost insulting that they were so terrible at fighting. I wrapped my hand around the man’s neck, picking him up to that his toes only touched the floor; I smirked, feeling the palm of my hand grow hotter and hotter as the man began to shout. Suddenly, the feeling of cold metal against the back of my head alerted me to the fact that I had missed a man, something to do with the distraction of fun that this had given me. I dropped the man to the ground, noting the boiled skin in the shape of my hand.
As I turned, the metal of the gun was dropped, as was the body of the man holding it. As his body fell, I saw the gold knife that was planted within his back slowly disappear, looking up to see Loki's smirking face as he walked towards me.
"See, if I was not here, you would have been dead." He raised his eyebrows, stopping short of laughing in my face. I growled, turning to retrieve my blades from the bodies nearby, dousing them before attaching them back to me. I looked around, seeing the scattered bodies, some still on fire and some not, but none remaining alive. "Nice tricks." He then said, trying to act as though he meant it. I rolled my eyes.
"Come on. We need to get whatever information we can."
-
It was one thing hearing of the powers that Loki possessed, and another to actually see them in action. The duplication, meaning one moment I thought I was talking and looking at the real him, only for it to vanish before my eyes and reveal he is several feet away from me. He had finally used his shapeshifting ability to change into one of the guards like I had suggested, letting himself into a room with ease before shooting down those inside. He seemed to like watching me watch him, I would stand back, impressed, after he would use his powers, and he would smirk at me once his show was over.
The control room was last, requiring us to actually fight together rather than one by one. I hadn't thought it would go as well as it did as he seemed to be someone who preferred to work alone, but as we fought it seemed we worked around each other well, him throwing his punches, grabbing a hold of an officer, and holding him up for me to burn.
"We seem to work well together, you and I." He said, panting once the last body had dropped. He smirked, having a look of surprise on his face.
"Or more I work well and you're a good sidekick." I shrugged, moving to the control computers where the officers from before had attempted to erase their hard drive. "They didn't manage to wipe it." I sighed a breath of relief, knowing that our fight hadn't been for nothing.
"Sidekick?" He questioned, coming to my side as I inserted the flash drive given to me before the mission.
"They have more start-ups." I then said, taking his attention away from me and to the screen. There was correspondence between them, showing at least five different locations to which, their information was coming or going. He leaned over, getting a better look, though as he did, I could suddenly feel his presence beside me. The smell of leather and whatever cologne God's now wore entered my nostrils, taking my brain away from what was before me. I thought Loki attractive, of course, but there is no way I could think of him in any other way than an annoying tagalong. not right now at least. "Brazil, Tunisia, the Ukraine." I sighed.
"Does that mean that we will have more missions together?" He then asked, attempting to sound disgusted. I rolled my eyes, trying not to smirk.
"No, it means that I will have more missions. I'm definitely not bringing you along." I scoffed, snatching the flash drive from the computer once it had finished downloading. I stood straight, only then realising how close he was to me. His eyes bore down at me, amusement shining within.
"That's good to hear. I don't think I could take any more of your little bonfire powers." He contested, trying not to break from his egotistical character. The hints of a smirk teased at his lips, and if the smell of burning flesh wasn't surrounding us both, and the urge to punch the smugness from his face wasn't growing in favour, I would have said we were having a moment.
"Let's get going then. Got to get you home so you can brush up on your magic act." I smiled a wry smile, pushing past him in attempts to leave. Though, the moment I came to the threshold of the door, I felt the searing burn of a blade being pushed through my chest. A soldier had stood by the door, waiting for his opportunity to strike, and finding it when I never bothered to check before stepping out. I dropped to my knees immediately, watching as a series of knives were then thrown into the chest of that very officer, forcing him to drop dead before me.
Loki suddenly came behind me, on his knees also, holding me up against his chest in a panic. He thought I was truly dying, and so I couldn't let this moment go by without playing him at his own game. I allowed myself to lean back, pulling the knife from my chest and throwing it to the floor before I looked up to him, taking in his look of worry.
"You can heal, right? You can heal..." He began to stutter, becoming even more shaky when I slowly shook my head. "No, you can't die, I-I will be blamed, this will be my fault." I scoffed, coughing as I did.
"You'll be blamed? Wow... you really do only care about yourself." I muttered, voice getting weaker as I spoke. "You can't even admit that you'd be sad if I died." I tried to muster a laugh, allowing it to make me cough further and forcing his grip on me to become tighter. His scent was intoxicating, so much so that I thought he must have done some magic to make it so; though what struck me most was the small flickers of green in his blue eyes, they were beautiful.
"You can't die." He then smiled, "I would have no one to vouch for me anymore." He whispered. This took me by surprise. My vouching for him must have actually meant something to him for it to affect him in such a way, though when thinking about it, I may have been the first one to do so in a very long time.
"You deserved the chance, Loki." I shrugged, wincing as the pain was still within my chest, his eyes held the torment that I was now putting him through, probably bringing up bad memories, I needed to bring this to an end, "I'd vouch for you again, you know... even if you don't like me." He chuckled.
"Of course, I like you," He smiled, "I wouldn't save the life of just anyone." The moment the words left his lips I sat myself up, wiping my chest of the dried blood from the knife. I heard no sound from him as I stood myself up, only turning to look at him when I had reconnected my swords to my back. He remained on his knees on the floor, looking up at me incredulously, noting the smirk on my face and trying to stop one coming to his own. "You weren't really dying?"
"Oh no, it takes a lot to kill me." I waved my hand dismissively, letting a smile grow on my face. It was only a second before he had gotten to his feet, placing his hand firmly around my neck and pushing me back against a wall.
"Not anyone can trick me." He growled, his voice hinting a slight tease. I smiled in his grasp, slowly raising my core temperature, and simply watching his eyes to see when he would notice. His hand gripped a little tighter and his eyes squinted, waiting as long as he possibly could before removing his hand in pain, blowing on it when he did.
"And not anyone can threaten me, your majesty." I smiled, "Time to go." I then suggested, turning away from him, and exiting down the corridor. His footsteps were quick to follow, coming to my tail as he sighed.
"So, what's the protocol for leaving? Do we just let the bodies be found?" He then asked, finally asking something about how we did things around here. He really did want to be a part of the team, and in reality, I was certain that he would fit in quite well. I smiled again, turning to him once we were facing the exit.
"Really Loki? Why do you think Fury sends me on these missions?" I asked, placing my fingertips to the wall. I started walking towards the exit, allowing my fingertips to dance along the wall, setting it alight in their wake. He followed close behind, the both of us only stopping when we were a few metres outside of the building, I looked to him as we relished in the spiralling flames, "Bonfire powers is pretty accurate, honestly." I shrugged, watching his smirk emerge.
-
"I am what some people call a 'mutant'. Nothing gave me my powers; I suppose I've always just hand them." I shrugged, "I burnt down my family home. Killing my family when I was five. I didn't know what I was doing." I didn't know why I suddenly felt the urge to tell Loki my whole life story on the jet ride home, but I think it had something to do with the fact that he had fought for me and with me, and that while he thought I was dying he really did try and make me feel better. "Then there were three foster homes after that that went down in smoke... a similar start up like that one was the only ones who took me in."
"Hydra..." I heard him whisper.
"Yes." I sighed, "But... I didn't need the brainwashing like the Winter Soldier... I did everything I did voluntarily." I coughed, shifting awkwardly. I knew that my story wasn't palatable to normal people, but as Loki wasn't normal and had enough blood on his hands for the both of us, I felt he could be trusted with the truth. "Fury said it was either work for him or be locked up somewhere. So." I shrugged. There was a long moment of silence, one, I assumed, because he wasn't sure as how to respond.
"I was forced into the New York invasion." He then said, breaking through the silence in one swing. "My brother doesn't even know the whole truth." He sighed. I glanced to him, his eyes remained forward, face stoic, "Thanos held me for months, training me to lead the Chitauri, though the training was simply torture and mind games."
"You were being controlled by the mind stone too..." I whispered, more to myself, but he had heard it. He looked to me, eyes soft, nodding. "Wow."
"If I didn't, he would have killed me, destroyed the Earth, and Asgard. I couldn't allow for that." He then sighed, sitting back in his chair, "There, I answered one of your questions. But you only get one." I scoffed.
"I tell you how I killed my family, and you think that answering one question makes up for that?" I bit the inside of my cheek, trying to stop my smile as he nodded. "What will it take for you to open up a bit? If we're to go on all of those missions together you're going to have to at some point." I raised my eyebrows, watching as he tapped his chin.
"I'll tell you what, I'll answer one question each time I save your life." He smirked, "I'm sure I'll have answered all of your questions before the summers end."

Wrote this little dadneto in the MCU thing, so have fun. ‘
____
Erik Leshner stood in the collapsed building, next to the bomb siting on the floor looking harmless. He could barely look at the destruction around him. He had left his children in their hands, two of the only people in the world who knew why he had to abandon the twins. Now they were gone, their bodies lie somewhere underneath the rubble their last breaths long gone from their lungs.
The songs of war had moved into the distance, leaving their path of destruction in their wake. A path that his children had been right in the middle of. Erik wanted to scream, to tear the broken building off of its foundations and throw it far away. But deep down he couldn't, he was still too numb from hearing about the tragedy. Not only that but he couldn't destroy  the  resting place of the Maximoffs no matter how hard he tried.
Irena and Oleg, Erik wasn't even sure how he had known them. Perhaps it was through Magda, or perhaps he pondered he had known one of their parents a long time ago. Either way he knew them and despite being so closed off, liked them. They liked him too, by some twisted logic they trusted him and adored him like family. So when he ended up at their door asking them to take the twins, the only reason they hesitated was to make sure Erik had been sure of the decision.
Erik had never been sure of the decision. Now standing here among the wreckage he felt even less sure, as if he had made the wrong one. One of thousands of wrong decisions that he had made in his life. One of many more yet to come. Still Erik couldn't help but wonder how any of this would have turned out had he decided to keep the twins with him. He told him self over and over again that the outcome would have been worse. He could have had an attachment to them, and then have them ripped away from him. Just like so many other people he had cared for throughout his life.
Erik turned to face the giant hole in the building. Snow and ash fell on his hair making it look much more gray than it was. The smell of the cold mixed with the smell of burning wood and plastics from the nearby rubble where buildings once stood. Erik couldn't help but turn again to take a look over the destroyed apartment, hoping to find the bodies to give them a proper burial. All he could see were the shattered remains of items that had belonged in the apartment.  Most items held little to no significance, a broken TV playing some sort of sitcom, the couch where they had told the Maximoffs that they were expecting, the small guest bed strangely still intact.
Erik took a double take, the bed as he had remembered it was hardly steady. For it to survive the initial bomb blast was nothing short of a miracle. An extremely unlikely occurrence considering there was what appeared to be a defective bomb sitting right next to it. That's when he noticed the room itself was not nearly as damaged as it should be. One side had been obliterated, whilst the other remained almost perfectly intact. The other three small rooms of the apartment seemed to be gone themselves, with nothing but piles of concrete in their place.
Erik walked over slowly to the bed and closed his eyes in relief as he heard the squeak of a terrified child from under the bed. Erik chose a slab of concrete to sit down on, trying to make himself less intimidating to the child underneath the bed "Its okay I'm a friend." He said in broken Sokovian.
"You don't speak Sokovian that well." Came a young boy's voice from underneath the bed.
"No I don't. You however speak English quite well for someone your age."
"I'm not young your just old." The child said sticking his face out slightly eyeing Erik with curiosity.
"Peitro don't." A second child's voice came out from under the bed, much softer than the boy's.
"It's okay I don't bite." Erik said, releasing some of the tension in his shoulders. They had both survived, and since they had survived one or both of them had manifested their powers.
"What are you doing here?" The boy asked still timid but not nearly as much as his sister.
"I was looking for survivors Peitro." Erik said.
"Hey how'd you know my name!" Peitro yelled.
"Your sister told me." Erik replied knowing he just lied to his kid.
"Oh." Peitro said, inching further out from under the bed, "You look funny, kinda like the people on the TV."
"Peitro!" The girl cried slapping him on the arm.
"Wanda what was that for?!"
"You don't know if we can trust him, besides that wasn't nice." Wanda said.
"You can trust me Wanda." Erik said, "I won't hurt you I promise."
A DVD case flew out from underneath the bed, clearly propelled by something other than a child's physical hand. Erik attempted to dodge the object but failed when it veered off what appeared to be its projected course, hitting him in the shoulder. Wanda peaked out a bit testing the water trying to see if Erik was telling the truth. "You promise?" She asked hesitantly.
"I promise." Erik said reaching a hand out. The girl slid from under the bed into the pale light of the street lamps reflecting off the snow. Erik had expected her to be covered in bruises and cuts, but all he could see was dirt and grime. "What day did this happen?" He asked softly his heart sinking as Wanda took his hand. She looked pale, and it was clear that she hadn't had any food or water in a day or two.
"Friday." She said a distant look in her eyes. Erik could feel his heart clench, last he had checked his watch it was one in the morning on Monday. These children— his children had been stuck up in the building for two full days. Sitting waiting for either the bomb, the exposure, or the lack of food and water to kill them. Erik silently cursed as a tear ran down his cheek. "Are you okay?" Wanda asked.
Erik took his free hand and wiped the tear away, "I'm okay." He said to her trying to reassure himself that he wasn't about to lose it and add to the chaos. "A little ash in my eye that's all."
"What's that?" Peitro asked pointing to the tattoo on Eriks wrist.
Erik looked down and slid his sleeve up a little more so that the twins could see. "I'm an orphan like you." He said quietly, "Some very bad people took my parents away from me. Then they gave me this tattoo and told me to work. There was a lot of killing, and a lot of families were torn apart."
"Are we gonna get torn apart?" Wanda asked.
"No." Erik said, "You two won't because I know you two will stick to each other like glue."
Wanda turned to face Peitro and the boy nodded. "Are you going to take us with you?"
Erik felt his heart sink. That was the exact question he was asking himself. "No, I can't. My work doesn't leave me much time for family."
"What do you do?" Peitro asked.
"Why are you here then?" Wanda asked.
"Slow down." Erik said aiming the comment towards his son than his daughter. "I work on top secret missions for the US government. Missions that don't allow me to have a family." Erik said knowing he was yet again lying to his children. "As to your question Wanda, I knew your parents."
"I would remember you." Wanda said.
"I knew your parents a long time ago, before you were born. I'm sure I knew them as very different people than you did. When I heard about what had happened I had to see. I'm glad the two of you are alive."
"Barely." Peitro said "I'm starving."
"How about this, I take you back to my hotel room and you can clean up and sleep? I'll take you two to the orphanage in a couple days." Erik said knowing it was a stretch. The truth was he needed to make himself scarce soon otherwise the authorities would find him, an occurrence that was sure to become nasty.
"No." Wanda said, "We go to the orphanage in the morning."
"I understand." Erik replied. He did understand, to the twins he was a stranger. A stranger looking to use them rather than it being out of the kindness of his heart. They were probably right, had they been any other kids he would have used them, or even disregarded them and left them to die.
"What now?" Wanda asked.
"Tell us a story!" Peitro said, running to where the bookshelf used to be at a slightly inhuman speed. "Aww they’re gone." He grumbled running back to his sister and Erik.
Erik smiled softly, Magic and superhuman speed, just what the situation would have needed. Magic was in the twins veins, and their mother was quite gifted with her magic. Speed on the other hand seemed to be a new addition to the mutant tree, but that didn't mean that it wasn't predictable. After all Peitro had seemed to be constantly moving around in the womb, and the one time Erik had called Irena, she told him they couldn't stop Peitro from running off.
"Do you have any stories?" Wanda asked looking at her father.
"Yes I do Wanda. Not in books though, stories in my head."
"Tell us one!" Peitro yelled.
"I know the perfect one." Erik said standing up and sitting on the guest bed back against the wall. He patted next to him and one twin sat on either side of him. "A long time ago there was this group of people..."
"Is there any action?!" Peitro asked.
"Why is it always fighting?" Wanda asked "Why can't you accept a peaceful story about people?"
"Shh, there's plenty of both." Erik consoled the twins before starting the story again. "This group of people were fighting for people like them, people who were different."
"Different how?" Wanda asked.
"These people had powers, abilities beyond your wildest imaginations. They fought so others like them and their children could live in a world that accepted them. Some of them looked different, and had strange appearances. Some of them looked like you or me, but had powerful abilities that one would never be able to guess."
"Like flight?" Peitro asked.
"Yes like flight." Erik confirmed the soft smile returning to his face, "They created silly little names for each other, each one embraced a part of who they are. They called themselves the X-men."
"Are the X-men real?" Wanda asked.
"Maybe they were. This was so long ago no one is quite sure. I doubt if they were real they are still around anymore." Erik said pausing to collect his thoughts. It had been so long ago on the beaches of Cuba where he had stood, in his mid twenties and full of rage and anger. That man that had stood there was gone, replaced with a much more dangerous combination of those primal emotions.
"Keep going?" The boy asked leaning in closer to Erik.
"Only if you don't interrupt any more." Erik teased.
"We won't we promise." Wanda said sending a glare towards her brother.
Erik continued to tell the twins the exploits of the X-men. How in the end they saved the world, and how they were held as heroes among the people they had fought so hard to gain acceptance from. How in the end they were forced to keep themselves a secret for fear that they would be hunted down despite their heroics. How even though heroes can do all the right things sometimes life makes them walk a different path.
Erik finished the story and looked down. Both twins were snoring softly, having fallen asleep likely for the first time in days. Erik couldn't keep in the tears, he could feel as they ran down his face. The cold making the trails of moisture they left behind burn on his skin.
He still remembered the last time he had held them like this. Three days after they were born Magda had come down with a fever. Three days after that she was dead, not even the hospital was sure what had happened. Erik still could feel as both newborns were in his arms fast asleep unbeknownst about their mother in pain and agony next to them. He could still feel the tears as he watched the doctors rush in to try and save her. The numbness when it was all over and when the sun rose. He still felt the pain, sometimes as if it were happening all over again.
That was the first time the twins had lost their parents. Erik knew he changed after that, he always knew he would. Now sitting here holding the twins he realized they never even knew that they had lost their parents before. For them this was the first time they had experienced this, pain that lasts for a life time. Erik had given them up so they wouldn't have to experience this in the event he got into some trouble he couldn't simply solve with magnetism. Ironically that didn't save them. The act meant to save them and let them be children had failed.
So what was stopping him from taking them home? Living a quiet life somewhere? Erik knew the answer, he was afraid. Afraid to loose again. He knew that if he knew them, and then lost them things would go bad very fast. He didn't want that, Magda, his mother, anyone who had loved him, didn't want that. The anger and rage he held would explode, and Erik knew that if he were to explode the world might not be around anymore.
Peitro stirred a bit, and Erik looked down to make sure he was still asleep. Both twins looked a lot like their mother. They had inherited the dark brown hair and the same shaped nose. Peitro's eyes were just like Magda's. Wandas eyes were like his own, as well as her personality. Erik feared for her, not about what had happened but rather what would happen and what events might set her down an even darker path than the one she walked.
Erik sighed, exhausted from finding his way to the small country. He had seen the news, the several city blocks leveled by bombs. Thousands dead by the estimates and thousands more injured. He had come as fast as he could, unfortunately he feared he was not fast enough.
He pulled both twins in closer to him, in the hopes that his body heat would be able to keep them alive for the next few hours. Neither one seemed to mind or maybe they were to tired to even care. For a second Erik could imagine that they were at the little home he and Magda had bought, sitting in the room with the skylight watching the stars. But they weren't and they never would. Erik placed a small kiss on the top of each twins head before drifting off to sleep himself.
Hours later he was woken by the flashlight of a Red Cross worker. Erik wasn't expecting them to have shown up, but it was for all the better considering the twins had to go back into normal society. Although most people would write the story of him floating the three of them in the air down to the ground as the overactive imagination of a child.
The volunteer that had climbed over the building started speaking Sokovian. Erik could barely understand them, and neither twin was up, "Ich spreche Deustch." Erik said without thinking.
"Um." The young woman said, "Do you speak English?"
Erik chuckled, "Yes I speak English."
"Are you hurt? Are either of your kids hurt?" She asked, slowly trying to remember the right sounds to say.
"No. The kids need food and water though." Erik said softly looking at the twins. They looked worse than they had previously, something Erik attributed to the lack of light at night.
"You are fine?" She asked confused.
"Yes, I'm a friend to their family." Erik said.
"You were not here when the bombs dropped then?"
"No." Erik said.
"Can you carry them?" The woman asked signaling some people at the bottom of the building.
"Yes." Erik said, "One at a time though." The woman nodded at him and Erik stood up sliding Peitro to lie on the bed while scooping Wanda in his arms. Erik nodded at the young woman and she helped direct him to the edge of the building where there was a makeshift rope ladder. Erik took hold of the ladder with one hand holding tight onto Wanda. Erik climbed down carefully trying to protect Wanda from the wind blowing snow and ash their way. Erik made it down and placed Wanda on a makeshift bed in the back of a pickup truck. Erik repeated the same thing with Peitro nearly falling a couple times due to the wind.
Erik placed Peitro next to his sister and looked at the two of them sleeping peacefully next to each other. He sighed knowing what had to come next. He didn't have the heart to wake them up, they needed their sleep. "Don't loose each other." He started to whisper to them "Don't let anyone push you down. Stand up for one another and stick together. The world is hard and cruel, having someone by your side will soften the blows. I wish I did. Don't forget who you are either, don't loose yourselves to the pain and rage. Just remember who you are and you'll be fine."
Erik stood up and looked at the young woman who had climbed down after him. "Can I trust you'll get them somewhere safe?"
"You are not taking them?" She asked confused.
"No." Erik felt his voice crack, "I can't." The woman nodded at him and the small band of volunteers packed up the area. Their sweep had yielded no one except the twins and there was no reason for them to stay in the area. Erik watched as they climbed in the back of the truck protecting his kids. He watched as the trails of exhaust disappeared off into the distance. That was it he knew, he was lucky to even get this chance. For the second time in his life Erik Lehnsherr had abandoned his children, and this time he was even less sure of his decision. But now it was over, he would never see them again, and he knew that was for the best.

WandaVision: Dissecting the MCU’s Most Successful Superhero Couple
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: I am only using the term WandaVision as the coupling name for Scarlet Witch and Vision. I am not centring this discussion on the upcoming Disney+ series but rather talking about the 6 year build up to it.
Introduction:
Tumblr media
Despite the fact the likes of Hank Pym’s Ant-Man & Janet van Dyne’s Wasp along with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are Marvel Comics’ most prominent superhero couples, Scarlet Witch and Vision have always been that “unusual couple” that became a fan-favourite, didn’t diminish either character’s individual stories and, once the two were officially introduced into the MCU in 2015′s Avengers: Age of Ultron, became a hotly anticipated coupling by fans from their somewhat instant connection.
Not only is this comics-accurate love story finally being realised in the MCU, but the fact Kevin Feige feels as passionate about them as fans like I do that he is giving them their own series to shine, along with Wanda herself being involved in the MCU’s next big arc with exploring the Multiverse, I think it is safe to say that WandaVision have outshone the likes of Ant-Man and the Wasp and other couplings to become the MCU’s It couple.
Well, considering Disney+ released a new behind the scenes series called Marvel Legends last week with the first two episodes focusing on Wanda and Vision, despite them being no more than clip-reels of the characters MCU timeline, I wanted to delve in deeper and discuss how characters that were deemed B-worthy enough to be sent to streaming...which suddenly seems like the place to be...have suddenly become the hottest commodities in the MCU.
The Age of Miracles:
Tumblr media
Wanda Maximoff first appeared in the MCU in an mid-credits scene for 2014′s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, adding the cherry on the top of what was already a glorious cake of a movie by unofficially introducing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Sidebar, this was, at its time, very confusing for fans who believed that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were owned by 20th Century Fox in their X-Men movies. However, after the announcement of the Maximoff twins in the MCU and Quicksilver appearing simultaneously in 2014′s X-Men: Days of Future Past, it was revealed that a deal was made between Fox and Disney that the twins would only have certain traits in either universe.
Tumblr media
For the X-Men movies, they would be Mutants, have their origins as the children of Magneto and...even though this never happened...appear as members of the Brotherhood of Mutants.
Tumblr media
For the MCU, the Maximoff twins are known as enhanced individuals gaining their powers from the Mind Stone after experimentation from HYDRA. There is no mention of them being Mutants, their parents were indirect victims of Stark Industries, and despite Pietro having his original speed physiology powers, Wanda started off with Psionic Manipulation rather than Chaos Magic as her comic-book counterpart has.
However, it has been confirmed by Kevin Feige that Wanda’s shapeless red energy is magic of the same elk to Doctor Strange, just untamed. Meaning the upcoming alternative sitcom reality Wanda has created in WandaVision restoring Vision, could be an application of her latent reality warping powers.
The Maximoff Twins were officially introduced in 2015′s Avengers: Age of Ultron originally as operatives of HYDRA, before moving on to serve Ultron until defecting from him after realising he was evil and joining the Avengers in their fight to save their home country Sokovia.
Tumblr media
Vision meanwhile was officially introduced at the end of the second act for the movie but his predecessor JARVIS was first introduced in Iron Man way back when in 2008...the movie that started it all.
As Tony Stark’s A.I. assistant, JARVIS was stated by Stark to be a top of the range program that runs more of Stark Industries than anyone other than Pepper Potts as CEO. However, when Stark had the ingenious idea to create Ultron...otherwise known as RDJ wanting to steal Hank Pym’s most famous comic-book storyline...as a peacekeeping program to safeguard Earth from extra-terrestrial threats, in typical sci-fi fashion Ultron goes evil and seemingly destroys JARVIS.
However, JARVIS simply retreated into the server only to return after the Avengers acquire Ultron’s recently created synthetic android. The Science Bros. transfer JARVIS’ conscience into the synthetic body and with the help of Thor/s thunder charge Vision was born.
Tumblr media
I have to say also, while superhero movie trailers do get me excited for said superhero movie, seeing the reveal of Vision in the final Age of Ultron trailer gave me that wow factor moment only X-Men trailers usually do.
Comics to Movies:
Tumblr media
As I have always admitted, I am not as in-depth with the comics as the movies. However, Scarlet Witch and Vision are two characters I have followed pretty since I first found out about them in the mid-noughties as a teenager.
But what cemented the two as my favourite Marvel characters overall, from Comics, to Movies to TV, is the literal creation of the twin sons Wiccan and Speed who became key members in the Young Avengers.
Now yes, both characters have had lives separate from each other because, as I said before, they are still their own characters despite being also known as a couple. But while Wanda has had a somewhat twincestuous relationship with her brother in far comics history, and Vision had his own family of synthetic androids including daughter Viv, who was a playable character in Marvel’s Avengers Academy, I find the best in Marvel Comics writing was actually after their twins were reabsorbed into the demon Mephisto as they were fragments of his soul and Wanda went crazy heralding in the House of M.
Tumblr media
Also, not only is Wanda apparently getting her Scarlet Witch moniker either during or after the MCU Multiverse arc, but also a more comics-accurate costume. Up until now Wanda’s costume in the MCU has been they street-casual which does suit the Wanda of Sokovia. Even when she joined the Avengers and got an upgraded costume it did seem more like something someone could wear for a casual day out...as proof, my sister dressed up as the MCU Scarlet Witch by finding clothes in standard clothing stores rather than costume outlets.
My favourite Scarlet Witch outfit to date has been her full-length red gown complete with headdress from the comics, the headdresses of Magneto’s daughters are so iconic that when Polaris crafted her own out of Magneto’s medallion in The Gifted I was fanboying so hard.
Tumblr media
We already know Wanda will be wearing a Halloween costume inspired by her iconic comics suit in WandaVision, but if the Halloween costume looks that impressive, I cannot wait to see what her actual supersuit looks like.
Throughout the MCU:
Right from the start, I really enjoyed both Scarlet Witch and Vision in the MCU, despite Scarlet Witch still not to be known as Scarlet Witch to date in the MCU. But from when we see cameos of Wanda and Pietro as experiments of HYDRA, that one quick shot of Wanda displaying her powers I was sold.
Tumblr media
Vision meanwhile gave himself a somewhat modified version of his comics-accurate cape because he saw Thor had a cape and wanted one. He could also wield Mjølnir, does this make him worthy? It must do despite the Avengers constant mithering about it. If you can wield Mjølnir you’re worthy.
Tumblr media
Talking from a romance perspective, it was a big tease of the two getting together right up until 2018′s Avengers: Infinity War as while it was teased in 2016′s Captain America: Civil War, a romance wasn’t actually shown until we find them in Scotland.
Interestingly enough in the comics, the couple retire to New Jersey rather than Scotland.
Also, like a lot of heroes, both Wanda and Vision seemed to get an upgrade in powers every movie. We always got teases of both their full potentials in the quieter moments like when Pietro died and Wanda, feeling her twin dying, vaporised the surrounding Ultron Sentries in a moment of distraught heartache and when Vision destroyed the last Ultron Sentry.
But it wasn’t until Captain America: Civil War, where we learned that Wanda could control the Mind Stone powering Vision and Vision could easily severely injure another hero and then in Infinity War when either Vision created a human guise for himself or maybe Wanda did, while Wanda not only made short work of Thanos’ army but could also destroy the Mind Stone and, in Endgame take on and possibly defeat Thanos single-handed, that we got a true display of her powers.
Tumblr media
MCU creatives have stated that Scarlet Witch is in fact the most powerful MCU hero after it was originally stated Captain Marvel was, so when Wanda finally upgrades and realises her true potential this should be fully realised making Scarlet Witch the most powerful MCU character.
WandaVision and MCU Future:
Here’s what we know about WandaVision:
Tumblr media
Wanda finds herself in a sitcom television universe potentially of her own making after not only losing Vision, but not forgetting also Wanda has lost her family including her twin brother as well as friends and teammates Black Widow, Captain America and even Iron Man.
For someone who was late-teens early-twenties at the time of Age of Ultron, this makes her late-20s early-30s by the time of this series, my age, and so obviously all of this loss and grief will play havoc on one’s mind let alone everything else she has gone through.
Also Vision is back but I still don’t know to what extent that is, is he only back in this alternate sitcom reality or has Wanda willed him back into existence in the same way that she willed their twin sons into reality in the comics.
Speaking of which, we know the couple have twins in the series as when they’re in their 80s sitcom setting, we see two bassinettes and it’s hinted we will see them as teenagers.
It has to be Wiccan and Speed, it can’t not be. This would be a massive red mark on WandaVision’s scorecard if it isn’t. I have recently heard rumours they could be human-android hybrids to match the parents and someone even suggesting Viv could be one of the twins...but I can’t fathom why if the Young Avengers are coming into play with the confirmation of Kate Bishop, America Chavez and Stature, why these two core characters wouldn’t be at play.
Tumblr media
The other hotly anticipated character introduction is Kathryn Hahn as Agnes...again if this isn’t Agatha Harkness then it is major tease. Agnes is surely an alias for Agatha Harkness who in the comics and even X-Men: Evolution was Scarlet Witch’s mentor for controlling her powers.
The only difference between the two incarnations is in every other version of the character Agatha is an old woman whereas Kathryn Hahn looks like Kathryn Hahn. It will also be great to see Agatha Harkness in a comedic setting as Kathryn Hahn is hilarious.
Tumblr media
We also have returning MCU characters Jimmy Woo, Monica Rambeau and Darcy Lewis added to the series. All three may not be connected or they all could be working for SWORD which is the successor to SHIELD first seen in the post-credits scene for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
I’m thrilled to have Kat Dennings back in the MCU and considering both she and Randall Park have a history in comedy, the sitcom settings should suit them well.
I’m not sure why any of these characters are connected to Scarlet Witch or Vision considering all three are connected to separate heroes Ant-Man, Captain Marvel and Thor respectively, but any excuse to bring them back I’ll take it.
What is also more or less confirmed is the ending of WandaVision will see a massive witch fight between Wanda and Agnes resulting in Wanda tearing a hole in the multiverse starting the Multiverse arc in the MCU which will be picked up in Spider-Man 3 and resolved in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with Wanda set to appear in both movies.
Tumblr media
As for Vision’s fate post WandaVision, it is currently unknown where he will appear next if at all, and it may actually depend on the success of the series, but we know that Wiccan and Speed will become part of the Young Avengers so they’re staying on.
It is also worth noting that in the Young Avengers, a second version of Vision known as Jonas was a member of the team created through Nathaniel Richard’s neurokinetic armor gaining sentience after having Vision’s operating system downloaded into it.
Tumblr media
Nathaniel Richards is a distant relative to Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic who is set to appear in the upcoming Fantastic 4 movie, but is also a time remnant of Kang the Conqueror who is set to appear in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania and may be alluded to in the upcoming Disney+ series Loki.
Nathaniel is also Iron Lad, who forms the Young Avengers as part of the Avengers Fail-Safe program. Do you see how this all ties together?
So basically even if we don’t see this Vision again after WandaVision, we may see Jonas in the Young Avengers.
As for the future for Scarlet Witch post-multiverse, if they are bringing in Wiccan and Speed, I really want the next big arc to be the Children’s Crusade. I know fans want House of M...WandaVision is possibly as close to House of M as we’re going to get.
Tumblr media
Children’s Crusade is how Wiccan and Speed learn about and are reunited with their estranged mother who has lost her memories and is living in wedded bliss with Doctor Doom...who could easily be introduced in said Fantastic 4 movie.
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
Whatever the future holds for Scarlet Witch and Vision, no one can deny that this love story has not only been an organic one, but with it set to be the running theme for WandaVision, this love story is most definitely one for the ages.
So that’s my analysis of the newest superhero superpowered couple currently at play in the MCU, what do you guys think? Is WandaVision a couple for the ages? Will they have a place in the MCU after the upcoming Disney+ series?
Post your comments and check out more MCU Reviews as well as other posts and WandaVision starting this Friday (Jan 15).

Love Persevered
Tumblr media
Also on AO3
It's not S.W.O.R.D that ends up with Vision's body, it's S.H.I.E.L.D, and a miracle happens when Wanda goes to collect his body.
Wanda Maximoff had heard of S.H.I.E.L.D. Of course she had - she had heard many, many things about them during her time with HYDRA. How evil they were, for standing in the way of greatness, of glory...
When she’d heard about the real S.H.I.E.L.D from Clint and Natasha, she was almost disappointed she never got the chance to work with them. Nick Fury and Phil Coulson sounded like better people than the monsters that had tortured her and Pietro and brainwashed them into doing their bidding.
She shuddered a little, striding into S.H.I.E.L.D’s headquarters. It was smaller than she would have anticipated an organization of its caliber being, but Wanda supposed, after all the damage that had been caused after the Blip and other issues leading up to it, she should be grateful the organization existed at all.
What she was worried about was why they were the ones that had Vision’s body. Yes, he had been listed on the Wall of Heroes, and she was very grateful for it, but why hadn’t he been buried? Why hadn’t he gotten what Tony Stark had?
It was up to her to give it to him.
“Can I help you?”
“I’m Wanda Maximoff. I’m here for Vision’s - I - I’m here for Vis - ” she’d tried to steal her nerves, tried to come to grips with what she was asking for, but the words just wouldn’t come out. “Please. I know he’s here.”
The woman behind the desk gave her a sad, understanding smile as she picked up the phone. “Director, Wanda Maximoff is here.” A pause. “Yes sir,” she put the phone back down and turned back to Wanda. “Director Mackenzie will be waiting for you on the third floor at the end of the hall. Just use those doors. Elevator is on your right.”
Wanda blinked in surprise. It would be that easy? Really? Normally with government agencies there was a host of red tape she needed to cut through. But maybe S.H.I.E.L.D understood she wasn’t here to fight, or even talk. She was just here to give Vision the goodbye he deserved.
“Thank you,” she managed to choke out, before rushing through the doors and up to the third floor as directed.
“Hello Miss Maximoff. I’m Director Alphonso Mackenzie. Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D.”
“Wanda, and thank you. Can I see him?”
“Of course, right this way.”
He pushed the door behind him open, allowing Wanda to step through into what she could only describe as a lab. On a table, covered in a white sheet, was what she assumed was Vision. However, she was more concerned with the people that were standing nearby, looking at records and computer screens.
“Who are they?” she heard herself ask sharply.
“Fitz,” the one woman said, pointing at the man next to her.
“Simmons,” the man said, pointing at the woman who had first spoken.
The second woman rolled her eyes, holding out her hand. “I’m Daisy.”
Wanda shook it suspiciously. “What were you doing with Vision?”
“We… were hoping to give you some options, Wanda,” Mack began. “S.H.I.E.L.D has been able to create androids called Life-Model Decoys, or LMD’s. They’re essentially reconstructions of people. Originally, they were intended to be used as shields to protect our agents, but there were a couple of extenuating circumstances.”
Wanda furrowed her brow. “And that means…?”
“We created decoys to… essentially resurrect the dead just… not in their original bodies,” Fitz said. “Jemma, Daisy, and I were making a map of Vision, in case you decided you wanted one of him.”
Wanda felt her heart stop. She must have been dreaming, right?
“You would… bring him back?” she choked out over the lump in her throat. God, she did not want to hope, but it was so, so tempting. “What - what’s the catch?”
“There is no catch,” Simmons answered this time. “I swear on my cottage in Perthshire.”
“Why do you want to help me?” Wanda had done so many terrible things to so many people. Why would a government organization want to help her now?
“Because S.H.I.E.L.D believes in helping people, and that no one should be alone. But at the end of the day, this decision is up to you,” Daisy said. “As his next of kin, this decision is yours alone.”
She could have him back.
Wanda had not dared to hope for such a thing. But she could have him back. These people - a group that Clint and Natasha trusted - were giving her a second chance she wasn’t sure she deserved.
Still, she looked suspiciously at the scientists in front of her. “Would he be the same Vision I fell in love with?” she asked.
“We can replicate his personality and his appearance, yes. He would no longer be considered a synthezoid, however. He would be an android. We’ve also never created an LMD of a synthezoid, so we don’t know for sure if he’d still have his powers, but… otherwise, he would act and look just the same as you knew him,” Fitz confirmed. “He will have all of his memories of you as well.”
Wanda was shaking now, and her knees buckled. If Mack hadn’t been right next to her, she knew she would have fully collapsed to the black tiles below her.
“Do it,” she gasped, nodding once. “Please. Bring him back to me.”
“It will take a few days,” Mack said, helping to steady her. “You’re welcome to stay here if you don’t have a hotel or anything else.”
The dam broke, tears racing down her cheeks. “Thank you. You don’t know how much this means to me.” She rubbed her eyes. “Can I have a minute alone with him before you start?”
“Of course.”
The scientists and director stepped out of the room, the door clicking shut softly behind them.
She rubbed her eye against the sleeve of her sweater again, swallowing back a wave of nausea as she peeled the sheet back.
He looked as she remembered. That was good. Part of her had been worried that any government agency would dissect Vision, or worse - try to turn him on their side, but it seemed S.H.I.E.L.D wasn’t like the others.
She was so glad he’d ended up in their hands.
“I’m sorry there wasn’t any other way…” she whispered, hovering a shaking hand over where the Mind Stone should have been. “I can’t feel - ”
Wait.
Wanda paused, frozen over Vision’s form.
She felt something. It was faint, so very, very faint, but it was there.
It was him.
“Vision?” her voice cracked. “Vision, can you hear me?”
If he could, he didn’t respond, but that little flicker of feeling meant that… maybe this body could be saved.
“Director!” she called.
Mack was in the room in a second. “Wanda? What’s the matter?”
“I - I think Vision is still alive.” It was a sentence she didn’t think she would say after the battle with Thanos.
“Tremors! Fitzsimmons! We may be on a resuscitation job instead of an LMD job!”
The scientists rushed into the room, their eyes wide as they rushed to the computer and monitors.
“My God,” Simmons murmured, turning to Wanda. “Did you… happen to use your magic at all while you were alone?”
Wanda swallowed thickly. “I… yeah, a little bit. It’s something I used to do with him.”
“We registered a trace amount of energy when we brought him in, but we couldn’t place where it came from. Only that it was partially found in space. That same energy was picked up by our computer when you were in here. You were the one to originally - ”
“Yes, I was,” Wanda interrupted, not wanting the word spoken. “What does that mean?”
“It means Simmons and I can repair Vision’s body, and you can repair his mind,” Fitz concluded. “Some of the more… mechanical pieces of him began to deteriorate over the last five years. I can upgrade that, but we’ll need your energy to… bring him back online.”
“I - I can’t - that’s not how - ”
“Wanda,” Daisy said firmly, and Wanda turned to her with wide eyes. “I know how you feel. You don’t feel strong enough, or powerful enough, right?”
Wanda nodded a little.
“My sister thought the same. She has powers too - so do I. She was asked to do something she never thought possible with her gifts.”
“What’s that?”
“Bring me back to life.”
Wanda thought the breath was knocked out of her as she stared at the agent in front of her. “You - you died too? And - and you were brought back?”
Daisy nodded. “My sister and I are known as Inhumans. Kora has energy manipulation. She managed to manipulate my life energy after I was - literally - floating in space without any protection. You said you felt a flicker of Vision?”
“Yes.”
“Then you need to focus on that feeling and fight like hell to bring him back.”
Wanda took a deep breath, all of it overwhelming. She’d thought she would be coming in here to claim VIsion’s corpse and take him to be buried. Now here she was… potentially bringing him back. Small as it was, she knew she couldn’t turn it down, so she nodded.
“Okay. I’m ready.”
“Fitz and I will begin the repairs right away,” Simmons said, giving Wanda a kind smile. “You can wait in the hallway. We’ll let you know when we’re ready for your powers.”
“I’ll wait with her,” Daisy offered, leading her back out into the hallway.
“I’ll leave you all too it. Call me if there’s an emergency,” Mack said. “It was nice to meet you, Wanda.”
Wanda nodded, sitting on a bench with Daisy. Was this what it was like when someone was in a hospital waiting room, waiting for news about their loved one’s surgery? That must have been what this felt like.
There was a comfortable silence between her and Daisy, as Daisy quietly tapped on her phone and the muffled sounds of machinery whirred behind the lab doors.
“What was it like?” she choked out, wanting an escape from the sounds.
Daisy looked at her in surprise. “What?”
“Your… dying. What was it like?”
“Oh.” Daisy paused, slipping her phone into her pocket before she leaned back on the bench. “Well… we were fighting this guy named Malick. He had inhuman powers like my sister and I, and he managed to pin me against this… energy thing. We planned for this. For my to - to sacrifice myself. So I managed to grab him, look him right in the eye, and just let out the strongest attack I could. The last thing I remember was everything exploding around me… and then it went dark. Empty… until Kora brought me back.”
“Is that what Vision’s feeling now? Empty?” she whispered. “Has he felt this for five years?”
“It’s hard to say. But I know you shouldn’t dwell on it, Wanda. Just focus on him. On your future.”
“Westview…” she said softly, a sad smile on her face. “Vision bought a plot of land. We were supposed to build a house there. ‘To grow old in’.”
Daisy smiled. “I think that sounds sweet. Hold on to that. Focus on that when you’re doing your magic, or whatever it is.”
Wanda nodded, her hands shaking. “I can’t believe it’s real. Now that I actually have time to think - I was afraid I was going to be alone forever. The other Avengers went home to their families but I - I don’t have anyone. I thought I was coming in here to retrieve a corpse… and now I might be walking out of here with the man I love.”
“You will be. Fitz and Simmons are the smartest people I know. They will work until their fingers fall off to bring Vision back to you.”
“She’s right about that. They’re the ones who brought me back.” This voice was new, and Wanda jumped slightly as she turned to it.
“A.C! I didn’t know you were coming in today. How was Miami?” Daisy asked.
“Humid. Wasn’t so easy on my circuitry,” the man replied, glancing over at Wanda. “You must be Wanda Maximoff. I’m Phil Coulson.”
She blinked, rising to her feet. “Clint and Natasha told me you were dead.”
“I am. Well - my body is. I’m an LMD. Did they explain to you what your option was with Vision?” Coulson asked.
“They did but… I think we can bring him back, just as he is. Your associates are repairing his body now.”
Coulson’s eyes widened. “Oh - well, that’s surprising. But good. We weren’t sure, which is why S.H.I.E.L.D offered you an LMD of him.”
“It’s very appreciated, Agent Coulson.” Wanda picked at the hem of her sleeve. “Do they know you’re alive?”
“Who?”
“Clint, Thor or Bruce. They were part of the original Avengers, right? Do they know about your… new form?”
Coulson hesitated. “No. I was kept in the shadows, and then it’s been a little nuts the last five years.”
She pressed her lips together. “I think you should tell them. I mean, the rules are being bent all over the place now, right? They would be happy to know your consciousness is still alive. Clint especially. He - he told me he still has regrets over what happened with Loki.”
A look of guilt crossed Coulson’s face. “I see. I’ll contact them, then. Thank you for letting me know. Do you mind if I wait with you and Daisy?”
She shook her head. “Maybe you can tell me about what Clint and Natasha were like when they worked here.”
Coulson laughed. “Oh, I have a few stories about that.”
It was hours later before Simmons poked her head out of the lab. “You can come in now, Wanda.”
Vision was still purple and lifeless, but his skull looked good as new. She could see the reinforcements that had been made to the non-organic parts of his body too, and smiled in relief.
Now came the tricky part.
“Whenever you’re ready,” Fitz said, a tablet in his hand.
Wanda nodded, stepping up to VIsion. She placed her hand over his head where the stone should have been and focused on everything she loved about him. About the future they’d tried to build. About the future they would build, when he came back to her.
“I can feel you, Vision,” she whispered. “Please… come back.”
She watched as the energy in her hand suddenly turned yellow - the Mind Stone! - and poured into Vision’s skull. The color began to return to him, and finally, those blue eyes opened.
“Wanda?” he asked.
“Vision?”
He sat up, holding his head. “What happened? Where’s Thanos? Are we still in Wakanda?”
“Thanos is gone. We’re safe now. We’re at S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters,” she explained.
“S.H.I.E.L.D. Yes, I recall stories about them.” He paused, data downloading in his mind. “Ah, yes, I see. And you took custody of my body because of my connection to the Avengers?”
“That’s correct. Agent Coulson here was one of the founding members of the Avengers initiative,” Daisy explained.
“And you died, but apparently returned as well. It is comforting to know I’m not the only person to return from death,” Vision said.
“Everything seems to be stable with you, Vision. How are you feeling?”
Vision hopped off the table, testing a few of his abilities quickly. “I feel brand new. Thank you Dr. Simmons.”
“Then I clear you for discharge,” Simmons smiled, holding out a card. “If you need anything, S.H.I.E.L.D will be at your call.”
Wanda leaned against Vision. “Thank you for being so kind… for doing all of this for me.”
“You’re welcome,” Daisy said. “Good luck in Westview.”
“I quite liked them,” Vision said as they got into her car. “Did you know Agent Coulson used to have hair?”
Wanda chuckled softly, switching the car on and pulling out onto the busy street. “It’s not hard to imagine. Human men go bald sometimes. I guess Coulson just got unlucky genes.”
“What do you suppose I would look like bald? As a human, I mean. I know I’m… quite bald in this form.” He patted his own head for emphasis.
“I don’t know. But I think we have all the time in the world to find out.”
Vision smiled. “Yes, we do. Westview awaits.”
They drove off into the sunset, and the promise of tomorrow.

You sit in the corner of the quinjet as you guys make your way back to the compound. You’ve been the latest addition to the team, and you’re still growing into your powers. You watch out the window as the dark colors of the night sky go by, seeming to become darker if even possible. The jet is quiet, the soft purr of the engine filling in most of the silence beside the occasional shuffle from the rest of the team. You knew what was going to come the moment you guys step foot onto land. It was supposed to be a small, simple mission. Quick in and out so they sent you with Peter, Wanda, and Nat. As soon as the quinjet landed you quickly rush to get off only to be met with Steve at the entrance. “Great..” you mumble as you spot him. “Debriefing room. Now.” he says, arms crossed at his chest before glancing over the others and walking away.
Nat walks past you shaking her head as she follows Steve, Peter gives you a small smile and Wanda grasps your hand giving it a reassuring squeeze. She of all people knows how it feels to be on the receiving end of a situation like this.
Gathering the courage to finally face them you step into the room to see not only Steve but the whole team. You slide into the seat ready to hear every single thing you’ve done wrong, yet not one thing about what you did right. You feel as everyone’s eyes are on you. Some show sympathy, other show judgment. The judgment you’ve received your whole life. Steve stands at the end of the table, arms still crossed as he’s looking down. “Friday, play the footage from the last mission.” Keeping your eyes on the table you hear the sound of the event that happened barely two hours ago. You flinch as you hear the guns start to go off and the screams of local civilians. “It’s a miracle that there were no casualties,” Steve said at the end of the video. “But then again there shouldn’t have been any. Cause all you had to do Y/n, was get them in and keep the guards unaware.” You bit your lip, listening as he keeps going on. “Steve, I should’ve been there t-” Wanda started only to be cut off. “No Wanda. You were right where you were supposed to be. I guess we underestimated Y/n when recruiting them. Maybe they aren’t ready to be an Avenger.” The whole room falls silent after he says that. Even Steve was shocked at what he said. That completely wasn’t like Steve, the one of all people who knew about your past and your fears of it. “Steve I think you need t-” Sam starts but you cut him off. “No Sam. He’s right. All I’ve been doing to screwing up more than helping. Maybe I was made just to cause destruction more than peace.” You said before getting up. “I’m sorry if I’ve just been making your lives harder,” you said before walking out. Reaching up to your room, you close your door before sliding your back down against it. You tried, you really did. You rebelled from the purpose you were made for, trying to turn your life around but yet the darkness just seems to follow you. ‘I don’t know who you thought you were fooling. Of course, you’re not “one of them” and you never will be.’ The voice in your head begins. Burrowing your head into your knees as the others get louder, all of your darkest thoughts coming out to play. You try to block it all out, to do the exercises Strange, Banner and Wanda taught you. Suddenly silence. You open your eyes, head still on your knees. Lightly lifting your head up you see a pair of black boots. Your e/c eyes make their way up to black leather pants, with bits of green thrown in. They keep trailing up past a matching leather top before reaching pale, smooth-looking skin. Thin pink lips pull into a, dare you to say, wicked grin. You’re met with the prettiest pair of bluish-green eyes you’ve ever seen. You also knew exactly who he was. You’ve seen his file, seen the damage he brought upon New York. You remember the doctors continuing to talk about it for days after when doing your...training. “What are you doing here?” You ask, pushing your body further against the door (not like it’s possible).
Smile still present on his face, he begins to kneel down landing on his knee so he’s a bit closer to your level.
“I see my reputation precedes me. I come here for a partnership.”
“And what could you possibly offer me that will stop me from calling the others Loki.” You say. Your voice came out strong but both of you knew on the inside you were shaking in your shoes.
“You see darling, I’ve been watching you for a while and I see how the others treat you. But I can also help you reach your full potential. Sure, that witch has been helping you but you can learn from one of the greatest.”
He stops and licks his lips. “Besides, I can silence you before you even get the chance to make a peep.”
You lock eyes with him, seeing that he was very serious. Then you notice something. It was quiet. Tilting your head to the side you try to sneak into his mind.
A chuckle leaves his lips as he stands up straight. “Oh pet, that mind trick won’t work with me. I practically help make mind reading. Now, why don’t we go and meet your new team.”
He holds out a hand to you and you just watch it.
You knew this wasn’t right. The avengers took you under their wings when they found you. And they helped you learn your powers more, but yet they also cornered you. They always blame you. Never see the right that you do. They don’t really care about you.
‘They’re just keeping you close so you don’t destroy the world. They want easy access to lock you up’
Looking up at Loki, hand still stretched out to you, before hesitantly reaching out and grabbing it.
A gasp leaves your lips as his cold one locks with yours and he pulls you up to your feet, wrapping an arm around your waist, and before you know it you're in a different place.
Feeling your legs slightly giving up on you, causing you to lean further into the god. “Sorry,” you mumble refusing to acknowledge his smirk. “The strength in your legs should start to gather soon.”
Looking around you see you’re in a longish-looking hallway. The hall has more of an octagonal shape, a black metal floor with dark gray metal walls. If you didn’t know better you would assume you were in a fancy prison.
“Where are we?” “A spaceship. Thanos’s spaceship.” Loki says assisting you to get back properly on your legs. You feel a cold shiver run down your spine.
Thanos.
Don’t exactly sound like the type of guy you can sit and have a drink with.
“Wait, did you say spaceship?” “Well, you didn’t expect the most lethal team of the galaxy to be humans right?” Finally gaining back support in your legs you back out of Loki’s arms.
He begins to lead you down the hall. As you walk, you look around taking note of your surroundings.
Loki leads you into a room where on the other side stood a huge chair, with a bigger being sitting inside of it.
Following closely behind Loki, you make your way up the walking path to the chair. Loki stops a couple of feet in front and goes to kneel before getting right back up.
“I bring an offering. A new ally to the team. They were part of Earth’s defense team but..it seems they didn’t appreciate their strongest member.” Loki gesturing towards you for you to come closer.
Taking a small step next to Loki, you watch as Thanosgets up from his seat and starts to walk over to you. You feel your body tense as he walks around you, like a vulture or a lion waiting to attack its prey. One of his fingers comes in contact with your face, making you look up at him.
It takes almost everything within you not to flinch back and run away. You knew if you did, you would most likely be killed.
Loki clunches his jaw as he watches what happens. As much as he hates to admit it, he took an odd liking to you, maybe cause you reminded him of himself a bit. Always in the shadows of fellow colleagues, never the certain of attention unless it’s to be told off. Loki rolled his eyes at just the thought of having something in common with a midgardian.
“We would have to see what they’re capable of,” Thanos says before walking to the door.
You and Loki begin to follow and you feel an odd feeling in your stomach.
“Oh, what did I get myself into,” you mumble to yourself.

Request: Hellllo maybe a request of Tom bringing you to the ffh premier and bringing your daughter along as well and having Haz watch over her when she is scared of the camera? Short and fluff thanks love!
Hi Anon! Thank you so much for the request! Hopefully, you're still around cause I know it's been a minute...heh But I hope you like it and I hope it was worth the wait eee
Tumblr media
Little Star
You place your hand on Tom’s shaking leg. He places his hand on top of your and gives you a thankful smile. “Sorry love, just a bit nervous with this one and people’s reaction.”
It was the premiere of “Spiderman: Far From Home”. It was a big movie, as it kicked off the next phase for the MCU but also tells a story after half of the world being gone and coming back. But you knew that wasn’t what he was actually nervous about.
You look across the limo to see your five-year-old daughter sitting across from the two of you with Haz as she looks out the window. Yes, you had Hope at just 18 but she was both of your guy’s world, and you wouldn’t change anything for the world.
When Tom’s career really kicked off you both agreed to keep her away from the spotlight. Sure, the fans knew about her (let’s be honest they can find out anything they want it’s kind of scary), but they respected both of your wishes.
“There are so many people here! Are all of them going to see that movie?” she asks looking over at the two of you. “Not all Pumpkin, some of them are just here to see daddy’s new movie.” Hope nods as if she understands.
Kneeling down to look her in the eyes, you take her little face between your hands. “Hope, baby, there’s going to be lots of people when we leave the car okay? And it’s going to be loud with lots of cameras. Don’t let go of your uncle Haz’s hand okay?” She nods and you press a sweet kiss on her forehead.
“Next car.” the driver says letting you know that it almost your turn to come out. Pulling up to the carpet, one of the security guards opens the door and Tom steps out making the crowd, (if even possible), go louder.
He turns around taking your hand in his as you step out of the vehicle. A Chorus of awws is let out when Hope and Haz come into view.
As you and Tom walk a bit ahead of them so he could do some interviews and take pictures, you look back to see Harrison now holding hope in his arms. She gave the crowd small smiles as she waves back at them before nuzzling her face back into Harrison’s neck.
“I see you brought your daughter tonight.” the interviewer for E-News says smiling.”She is absolutely adorable! Any chance we’ll be seeing her on the big screen soon?” “Not sure, I mean she hasn’t shown any interest in it. Right now we just want her to be a regular kid.” After saying that the three of you turn to see Hope and Harrison posing together and taking pictures. “Or it seems we might have a little star on our hands.” You say laughing.

Lost Without You
Peter Parker x Reader
Warnings: Peter being a absolute simp...boy got it bad for you *wiggle eyebrows*
Tumblr media
Peter rolled over and each out only to be hit with a cold spot on the bed. Opening an eye he looks over at the spot you were last night, confirming his suspicions that it was empty.
Rubbing his eyes, a pout on his lips he makes his way on his mission to hunt you down. Reaching the kitchen he sees some of the team eating breakfast, but no you.
“Well, morning to you too, sunshine.” Tony quips from the table. Peter mumbles something before walking back out seeing that his mission didn’t end there.
Making his way to the training area next, he walked in on Sam and Bucky sparing. He walked right back out not wanting to deal with those two. After running into Pepper and Morgan watching cartoons in the living room he decided to just call you.
More awake now and kinda worried he calls you for the third time the phone just rings before he reaches your voicemail again.
You never miss his calls.
Now Peter wasn’t a very needy person, but when he’s craving your attention? Boy does he crave hard.
He thinks back from the past few days. You have been kinda distant lately...and more secretive than usual. What if you found someone better than him?
Peter shakes the thought out of his head. Why would you leave so early and not tell him anything? Why aren’t you answering your phone?
“Okay Peter, calm down. I’m sure they have a perfectly reasonable explanation.” He says too himself. “Hey Friday”
“Yes, Mr. Parker?”
“Can you play my love song?”
Right then a slow beat of drums and piano began to play.
Peter takes a deep breath before opening his mouth. “Again you’re gone. Off on a path than mine. I’m left behind, wondering if I should follow.”
“You had to go, and of course it’s always fine. I probably could catch up with you tomorrow! Is this what it feels like to be growing apart? When did I become the one who’s always chasing your heart?
The beat drops, Peter imitating that he’s playing drums. “Now I turn around and find, I am lost in the woods. North is south, right is left, when you're gone. I'm the one who sees you home, but now I'm lost in the woods.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the team is relaxing in the living room when they hear the music. “Is he...listening to a 80s love song?” Sam asks in disbelief. “It’s from Frozen 2.” Bucky grumbles. “How do you know that Barnes?” Nat asks with a knowing smirk. “Morgan makes me watch it with her every Wednesday.”
“It’s true, I got stuck with Meet the Robinsons every Monday.” Tony says shrugging. “Okay, but I don’t know about you guys but I have to see this.” Sam says getting up before making his way to Peter’s room. “Guys, I don’t know, isn't that an invasion of his privacy?” Steve’s asked unsure. “No, he’s under our roof. We have to make sure he’s okay. Plus his door is open.”
“It’s cracked open.” “Same thing.”
Everyone gathers around the door, Peter not even noticing his new audience being so in tune with the song...and his feelings.
“Now I know you're my true north, 'cause I am lost in the woods. Up is down, day is night, when you're not there.”
You walk up the steps to Peter’s room wondering where everyone was and what’s with the noise. You finally find them all huddled around Peter’s door. “The hell?” You question walking up to them. “Oh Y/n! You have to see this.” Tony says placing you in front of him.
Your mouth almost dropped open at the sight. The sight of Peter singing with all his heart and soul, standing up on top of his bed.
“'Cause you are mine. Until then, I'm lost in the woods. I'm lost in the woods
I'm lost in the woods
I'm lost in the woods
I'm lost in the woods
I'm lost in the woods
I'm lost in the woods
I’m lost in the wooooods.” He finishes dropping his knees on the bed. He almost has a heart attack though when the cheering is heard from his doorway.
While everyone around you is clapping and cheering, you’re still trying to process what just happened. “...the fuck?” You asked Peter confused.
“Y/n! You’re alright!” Peter says running to you and pulling you into a tight hug. “Uh, yeah?” You say hugging him back a bit of confusion written all over your face.
“Uh oh, I think that’s our cue to go. Simp boy is coming out.” Sam said chuckling. “At Least he's in an actual relationship with a person who knows he exists Mr. I'm going to marry Rihanna.” You sass him cuddling Peter.
“Okay, THAT'S just cold L/n...she’s just been too busy to check her DM’s.” He says walking away, the others following behind him.
“Why did you leave early?” Peter asks after the two of you settle in his bed looking for something to watch on his laptop. “I was helping Mj and Ned with something. I can’t tell you what though. You have to wait for your birthday.” You tell him bopping his nose.
“But you ignored my calls?” “Oh yeah! I forgot my phone on your desk this morning and didn’t realize till it was too late.” You say pointing towards a small square and Peter’s that he oddly never noticed.
A small oh left his mouth when he thinks how he might’ve just been a bit over dramatic. “So,” you start and he looks up at you seeing a smirk appearing on your face. “You’re lost in the woods without me huh?”
Peter's face starts to go red at being caught. “Shut up.” He mumbles nuzzling into your neck.

In retrospect Ron would swear that he’d never moved so fast in his life.
In the wake of finding out that darling Wanda’s poorly turn and hospitalisation was in consequence of being poisoned, Ronnie and Bastian, after getting the police involved, were give or take left in the lurch by the force they’d turned to for aid. Every enquiry, every call for an update, every attempt at contact got the same response – leave your incident number and we’ll get back to you. And they never fucking did, did they. So—
So.
They decided over whiskey one evening to take matters – if only a little bit – into their own hands. They’d caught onto some chatter from the cops regarding the gym as a possible spot where Wanda might’ve been hurt, and since the place had been turned over by the police and no leads had been forthcoming they thought, knowing the place as well as they did, that they might take a second look; maybe find some places less knowing eyes might’ve missed; see what they could uncover.
Their plan set and pleasantly warmed in their bones with the liquor, the lads set out from Ronnie’s flat and made the ten or so block trip to Bastian’s Home From Home. Logic being what it was – they were on a secret mission, obviously – they made entry through the establishment’s rear; a task made easy since Basha was in possession of the keys. Once inside the lights remained off because secrecy and, led by Bastian’s memory of the building’s layout, the twosome made their quiet as mice wearing combat boots way through the interior and into the area Thatcher – the club’s self-appointed major domo – used as an office space.
Plan was that they’d start there – because Thatcher’d Capital Letters started giving Ronnie 7’s – and then go from room to room, looking in those less obvious places for anything that might lend with the locating of the already dead piece or pieces of human waste that’d put pain on darling Wanda. Fate though, as it transpired, had other ideas. They’d just begun their search when a voice—
‘Th’fuck-‘
--rumbled from back they way they’d come.
Now Ronnie knew himself well, like most grown chaps of adult years did. He knew by ‘n by his brain had previous for making voices out of nothing, so he was half a teaspoon less on edge at first than when, with a glance round at Basha, he realised that He’d Heard The Fucker Too.
Whipcrack fast Ron grabbed Bastian and dragged him like a sack of spuds out of the office, through the gym’s main room and then--

Brief. Directional. Panic.
CLOSET!
Darkness.
When both men regained any sense of space and time, they were tucked into an area perhaps six ‘n some feet high, four wide and three deep that was, by some miracle, void of its usual cleaning-supply-based contents. What it was not void of however was the combined presence of two men who, for all they’d come to care for each other over the ensuing, were not good with ending up belly to belly without preamble or escape routes and so, like the pair of like-sided magnets they were—
WHACK
They parted as if stung, backs to opposing sides of the closet’s slender space; arms up and out of the way because there was nowhere else to put them. Wild-eyed, they stared at each other as the initial rush of YIKES dimmed; as their familiarity kicked in around it and let them relax just enough to allow the implication of Alright to take root in this too small space with too many people in it. Ron’s arms lowered slowly, as did Bastian’s; a couple of attempts at comfy positions yielding no dice and forcing them, with appropriately contrite mouthings of varying species of Sorry, into something of a compromise – like two rightly fitting jigsaw pieces forced together on the wrong side. A minute passed like this in relative silence. That minute became two and then—
Footsteps beyond the closet’s wooden doors.
Ronnie caught his breath and held it for a beat as he listened; fixed as keenly as any of his dogs would be on the intruder scoping out their space. Booted footfalls prowled as the assassin hunted them, his movements cut with a rasping breathiness that was…too close to be…
Wandering.
Eyes sharply right and Ron found the source of the noise; poor Basha, loathing of tight spaces, murmuring near but not quite silently to himself as he fought to keep his breathing level and that--- That could not be right now. They couldn’t Noise so Ron, edging round in quarter inches, brought his hand up and whispered-
‘Basha-’
-before cupping Bastian’s jaw with curled fingers and pressing the pad of his thumb against his lips. The shock of the move brought silence for a moment, their eyes again meeting in the dim as Ron breathed a short, ‘Shh’ between his teeth and then returned his attention beyond the door. The assassin was closer now – a door creak in the hall gave lie to him – and Ron braced himself, as he had through countless altercations where death was on the maybe side of possible, to make a for-the-neck lunge the moment their prospective assailant was close enough. He released Bastian in service of this violent goal, lined himself up with the doors' opening, drew himself tense an—
‘If there’s anyone in ‘ere, c’m aht! This is private proper’y!’
--And almost fell over with relief as the assassin, the assailant, outed himself unknowingly as—
‘PAT?!’
Out through the cupboard doors Ron went—‘PAT!’ – almost coming a cropper as feet found and part snagged on the cleaning supplies his lightspeed flight into the closet with Bastian had evacuated onto the floor. Those stumblingly navigated, he rounded the corner between supply room and hall in the—
‘AUUGH!!’
--same instant Pat threw the light switch and flash-blinded him.

Bucky Barnes x reader
Summary: You were experimented on, resulting in you now having wings. Eventhough you might hate it, Bucky doesn’t.
Wordcount: almost 1.6K
Warnings: angst
A/N: I’m so sorry, again, it’s been so long. And again, it’s not a identical mosters update but an oneshot. I kind of really like this concept and i think its cute, also this one has been ready for quite a while but i wanted it to be longer but i had no idea how to make it longer and i kinda like it like this. So here you go, please enjoy, and also another side note, i think i found motivation to continue identical mosters so we’ll see if i upload in the next couple of days, I’m very sorry if i don’t in advance.

When you first met everyone in the tower, you were scared of their prying eyes, their gazes and their eyes scanning your appearance.
Oh, how far you’ve come since then. You remembered the way everyone had looked at you well, but you never held any grudges against them for it. They all had apologized, it’s just that they had never seen anyone like you. And that’s probably because there is no-one like you, and if there was the things you’d give to meet them.
You were special, and you had accepted it now. You had maybe chosen a different way for yourself to become special, but oh well you were here now. It wasn’t your choice to be kidnapped and experimented on.
No, the experimenting they had done on you wasn’t like the experimenting Hydra had done to the Maximoffs. No, it wasn’t alike in any way. Loki’s staff caused them to have awesome powers, what your torturers had done was cut you up and stitched you back together again and again and again until they had finally reached their goal.
Now there were two protuberances sticking out of your back they had dared to call wings. And yeah, they had actually succeeded, you were able to fly with those wings. When you first came to the tower you were weak and they had called a miracle that you were still alive. You could use the wings back then, but barely, and it also hurt so badly you passed out every time you’d use them.
You were different and kept to yourself, but surprisingly it was Bucky who had taken you under his wing. He helped you when you needed it, while you were trying to distance yourself from everyone, and who knows, they might have tried to distance themselves from you too, he didn’t. He took care of you, he knew what it was like being the odd one out and when he was he took great comfort in knowing Steve.
He felt bad for you, everyone was curious about you, but didn’t seem to care to talk to you, or to even question you about the things on your back. You knew no one in the tower and suddenly you were living in the same ‘house’ as them, used the same kitchen and walked through the same hallways.
Bucky had never looked at you that way, and you couldn’t find the words to tell him how grateful you were for that. It was because of him you were able to grow into the person you were today, nothing compared to the person who first walked through those doors.
Of course you’d never be the same person you were before everything happened but you are content and confident being the person you are today. Although you may have hated living in the tower at first, you couldn’t be happier to be there now. Most of your mornings were spent training with Sam or sometimes Nat if you were feeling up to it for the day. And then you usually made breakfast and ate with whoever was in there with you, it didn’t matter anymore they all warmed up to you and became great friends. Afternoons were spent having fun with Wanda, occasionally Peter and Shuri too if they were around, there was also rarely a day you didn’t stop by Tony and Bruce in their lab. Overall your days in the tower were good, you were fine being with anyone and speaking with anyone but you were also perfectly okay being on your own and watching a movie or reading a book.
But the thing you were maybe most grateful for was that at the end of the day you’d get to curl up to Bucky and talk to him about the day you had, whether they were spent apart or together.
You and Bucky took great comfort in each other, although you were very different people, if you look closer you may have more in common then first meets the eye. He was the first person you ever let close to your back, and the first time you let him he almost shed a tear, you may not have noticed, but that really meant a lot to him. He was known for being violent, his name was connected to hurt and yet he was the first person you let take care of you.
Like the skin connected to his metal arm, your back was scarred and had an angry red color. So when you had let him touch your back the first thing he did was gently rubbed some cream onto it that would help your skin heal itself. He had learned you how to take care of yourself, and in return you did the same. He still had his own trauma to deal with, but you thought it was safe to say that you both had come a long way already.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
It took you a long time, even after you had become more open with everyone in the tower, before you were able to join the others on missions. You trained long and hard, because making a change for the better in the world was something you really wanted to do.
So when Steve finally agreed to let you come to a smaller mission you were beyond happy. To say the mission went extremely well was an understatement, and you were happy you were an asset to the team. And from then on you went on almost every mission fury sent your way. Mostly Natasha but the others too trained you to be a skilled fighter and with the help of Bruce, Tony and doctor Cho you could now use your wings without it hurting which was a great help as well.
But even though the wings didn’t really hurt anymore, the skin surrounding the wings was still scarred and red. But there was another thing about the wings that you hated. Yes of course you got looks from everyone that saw the wings, I mean a human with wings? Yeah something doesn’t add up there.
But they weren’t pretty wings, bird like wings with feathers, like the ones angels have. Beautiful white feathers, if only your wings looked like that. But no, in stead the scientists gave you purple-ish, red-ish wings the resembled more batwings then anything else. They were ugly in your opinion, the skin like consistency of the wings felt and looked weird, ugly and dare I say it, scary.
How everyone, but most importantly Bucky, could accept you this way was something you could never understand. The wings made you look scary. The world was aware of you, they knew who you were and they knew that you were with the avengers, but they don’t know your story. There are times when you are out on the streets with Steve or Tony to anyone really gets recognized for example by little kids and they scare away from you, they hid behind their mothers legs. You were sure nothing could ever hurt you more, you loved kids, you truly believed you had a kind heart and you took pride of that. Even though you’ve been hurt so much, you aspired to be the best kind of human being. And when young kids are scared of you, your heart breaks into a million pieces.
But sadly, scaring away children isn’t the only thing that happens when you get recognized on the streets. Teens and often older people too, throw hurtful words at you.
“Monster”
“Freak”
“Mutant”
“Demon”
And that list goes on and on and on. You would think you’d know all the hurtful words by now, but it seems like they come up with new ones everyday. But Bucky is always there, at first you didn’t show that you cared about what people thought, but little by little as Bucky broke your walls down, you let him in on your thoughts. And of course he told you not to care, they didn’t know better, but the also knew from experience it’s not easy. After what he had done all those years, Bucky received quite some backlash too. At the end of a hard day he always called the two of you ‘the monstrous couple’ and for some reason a smile magically appeared after those words. Maybe it was caused by the butterflies you still had every time he called you a couple, maybe it was the reminder that you weren’t alone in all this, or the fact that the two of you could make fun of it because deep down you knew in the end, you only need him.
But he still found you often looking at yourself and your wings in the mirror. This conversation was one you had with Bucky over and over again. And for some reason you two always said the exact same words, as if it was the first time you ever had the conversation.
“What are you looking at, doll?” He’d ask as if he didn’t already know.
“The wings” you’d reply
“And why is that?”
“Because they’re horrendous, I look horrendous.”
“Honey you’re the most beautiful human being the world has ever seen, inside and out”
And he’d always take a little breath before adding the next part. The part you loved most.
“Darling you’re an angel, you’re my angel and you got the wings to prove it”

New Chapter: Empire of Miracles
Link: Chapter 9
Previous: Chapter 8
First: Chapter 1 (AO3)
A/N: I decided last-minute to cut about 1/4 of this chapter down, so hopefully it’s not too short now. Next one will be longer, I promise! And as usual, I hope everyone enjoys!! And of course, hope everyone is still staying safe and healthy out there as well. Sending love to everyone ❤️❤️
Preview: There was another beat of silence while Steve thought. This time, he was wringing his hands, which Natasha had noticed both he and Barnes tended to do when they already knew what they wanted to say, but were worried how it would be received. “That also sounds like Bucky,” he said slowly, as if testing her reaction to each word. “Like a reaction to the shock therapy they put him through.”
Natasha could see how he would think that. Try as she might not to, she recognized how well that fit. The skittishness around Natasha’s electrically-charged weapons. Hell, now that Natasha was really thinking back on it…
“That would explain the confusion, too,” she mused out loud. Then, before Steve could ask, she explained, “There was a moment where Barnes confronted her, and she got cross with him. But she said something along the lines of him being the one to take me away from the Red Room.”
“Didn’t he, though?” Steve asked curiously. “You two did go against them when you…had that night—”
“Right, yeah, I know,” Natasha cut in, knowing it made him uncomfortable to even think about the fact that she had been with his best friend years and years ago, even though it had been before any of them truly knew each other. Usually, none of them spoke on it at all ever since she and Steve fought about it when he found out last year. “But I let that happen because I didn’t want to leave. It was just to distract him, so I could get out of trouble with our handlers for messing up the rest of the mission. I had never actually considered leaving until Barton showed up.”
“So, she’s missing the time in between Bucky and Barton? Could something have happened in those years that you didn’t know about?”
“I suppose anything could have,” Natasha remarked dourly. Her frustration wasn’t with Steve, of course, but rather with herself for being so selfish in the past. For leaving without even thinking of how she would be letting Yelena (and probably every other Red Room student at the time) suffer from the organization’s loss of her.
Despite being lost in her thoughts, Natasha was still aware of the way Steve was watching her. His expression was still downturn in sympathy, and his hands were still fidgeting in apprehension. However, when he spoke, there was a sudden hardness to his tone this time. The first traces of anger. “Did they ever do that to you? The shock therapy they put Bucky and Wanda through?”
“No,” Natasha was quick to assure, stroking his arm down to his hand so that she could hold it in extra reassurance. “No, that was more of Hydra’s style.”
She wisely let her response end there, not wanting to get too far into the ways the Red Room kept her under their thumb. The more drawn-out torture of mental manipulation, and being brainwashed to believe their ways were the only way. That orphaned girls like her had no other purpose in life but to serve their country from its underbelly.
“I think that’s why it doesn’t feel right to me,” Natasha explained instead. “To think the Red Room was the one that did something to her. Well, that and the fact that they disbanded after I left. If it was that easy to discontinue the project without me, then what else were they keeping her around for?”
“Then maybe it wasn’t them. Maybe she got caught up in some sort of splinter group later, like the sorts we’ve been seeing from Hydra ever since that fell apart.”
“Maybe,” Natasha conceded. Internally, she was begging whatever forces that controlled fate to keep that from being true. “That’s just what we need on top of hunting down Hydra loyalists, I guess.”
Steve smirked a little at her dry tone. He slipped his hand free of her hold to wrap around her shoulders, bringing her close enough to steal a kiss to her forehead. “We’ll figure it out, Nat. And whatever happens, we’ll get through it.”
It wasn’t them that Natasha was worried about. It was Yelena, and this newfound sense of guilt. That sense that she should have never left Yelena behind. It had haunted her before, deep down, but now that she had actually seen Yelena again, and had suspicions that someone else continued using her even when the Red Room was gone, that remorse was all the more visceral. Before, Natasha could have easily shoved it down—maybe even convinced herself there was no point in going after Yelena when she still didn’t know if perhaps the other spy had gotten herself killed working for someone else—but now, she wasn’t nearly as self-important. Now, her feelings felt like a physical burden on her chest, bearing down on her with all the weight of what she’d learned about being a real family from her time as an Avenger. From what she’d seen in Clint, and Steve, and Wanda as they continuously refused to give up on people like her and Barnes.
Steve was right. She couldn’t leave Yelena behind any more than he had been able to leave behind Bucky when he’d resurfaced from their past.
She had to go back for her.
