you're SO right, my apologies to the women of... *checks notes* 17th century Japan for ignoring their real struggles. the things i said on tumblr in the year 2023 must have been really hurtful for them to read.
look at yourself in the mirror, make eye contact through it, and answer these questions: do you think that sexism doesn't exist outside of Japan? do you think sexism doesn't exist in places where white people are from? do you think that only white people can be trans, or that Japanese people can't be?
i've seen this shit-tier argument quite a few times with minor variations and my takeaway from it is "wow, it is really fucking racist to act like sexism is solely unique to Asia." like, do you people ever read back what you wrote and actually think about what you've said?
sexism exists all around the world, trans people exist all around the world. historical cases of "women" who lived their lives as men exist all around the world. sexism existing and trans men existing are not mutually exclusive.
Remind me, how many other women in the show are dressing up and living as men? None? But aren't they all facing oppressive sexism? So why is only Mizu living as a man? Here is a little secret I'll let you in on as a trans person: we will take any excuse to be ourselves. "I'm going to dress and live as a man because of sexism!" is a great example of that.
The way you guys talk about it you'd think near damn every woman in the world would be living as a man, but actually, shockingly, women don't want to live as men. You know who does want to live as men? Trans men, shocker I know!
Anyways, I'm always gonna say Mizu Blue Eye Samurai is a trans man no matter how many straws you transphobes grasp for.

I know ppl can't help it but fuck me, I've seen so many angry or sad posts this week where the person is obsessing over some issue that's literally not an issue BC it makes them feel less lonely
"ugh this is the wrong kind of trans person to do this thing that I also do" babe please get some friends. Drink a hot chocolate. Have some sex. Listen to a podcast you like. Have a bath
Literally do anything other than litigating in your head like, the reason this other random half-invented trans person doesn't have it as bad as you
They don't matter, their life doesn't and won't affect you, please be kind to yourself and just stop obsessing over them and go do anything else
"but my life is so much worse than--" yeah so do something about that! You can't make that persons life worse by complaining or obsessing about it, but you can do yourself a kindness or two!

Lmao on that post where the person is like "europeans need to admit they can suck too without joking about children dying in america" a bunch of people are like "yeah maybe i suck sometimes but americans shoot each other so ha ha!"
I think they think OP is an American but they aren't. They're from south asia so like. People directly harmed by ALL of our countries fucking meddling. And they're essentially saying "if you guys can't take a joke without laughing about the death of children how tf are you gonna confront the actual problems in your country"
And the answer all these europeans gave was "we won't". Like I'm not surprised bc we are all white people here (not seen a single poc pull this shit) and we all know how fucking defensive we get when faced with a single ounce of not being treated like the Perfect Specialest Winners. Americans do this ra ra usa shit all the time too. But I think their is a higher number of white americans who like. Pay attention to the effects of colonialism bc we have to face more people affected by it in our day to day (in general) than a swede who only remembered Syria existed starting like 2014. There are studies that simply being around more people different than you can make it easier to relate to them, so no one's surprised when a white American from a small town filled w only white people is ignorant or racist.
The only thing here is that same white person from a similarly diverse area in Northern Europe points and titters at the white American like "oh ho ho racism! Look at what those stupid americans are doing!" As if there aren't Romani people living in their own country them actively being discriminated against and losing their rights. As if there is no anti black racism in their community when they have a little blackface parade with the local blackface character.
And if you call them on it they're like "ha ha children are dying in your country!"

oh man, if i thought eps 9-10 made me mad..... this was easily the worst episode in the entire season.
i knew these eliminations would hurt no matter what bc i grew so attached to most of the trainees left, but haruto not even being a candidate for p0.18... im a jaystar first and foremost, but i voted for haruto every. single. day. my other picks rotated, but haruto was my no.2 pick the whole time
Chen Kuanjui, Haruto, Wang Zihao, Woongki, Seowon, i'll be following you from now on, wherever you end up!! stars like you are impossible to hide- you were born to shine for everyone to see!
i'm actually relieved Zhang Hao was second- the last thing we need now is knetz to turn on the one g trainee they allow to thrive. If he was 1st, no doubt korean voters would have dropped him, and he'd get Xiaoting'd. Also, as a jaystar.... I'll just say this episode was rough for me and leave it at that. Honestly, Sung Hanbin has nothing left to prove (he's done different concepts, had multiple main vocal and killing parts and never even come close to losing his 1st rank), so I do wish he'd share the spotlight even slightly- but in the end, it's a competition. I do wish they’d stop angel editing him though when he’s proven to be the single most ruthless trainee on the show. Every other trainee who’s in a more precarious position has been more compassionate with parts distribution at one point or another. Anyway, congrats to Ricky on breaking into the top 9!!!

some of yall rly just dislike ftms and are proud of it. not all of us are """"transandrophobia truthers""""" and """"hate trans women and think we're better than them and think misandry is real""""" just bc we talk abt the very specific and REAL issues we face being both trans and men. the trans men who DO do this are not fighting for us and do not deserve to be taken seriously and generalized as the face of "transandrophobia" therefore all of the issues we are fucking begging other lgbt people to pay attention to get swept under the rug bc we're all just whack misogynists. im so done talking abt this. this is why a giant percentage of us go stealth and abandon the community that's supposed to help us. ive literally seen it happen. you people do not care about us and it is so glaringly obvious

i'm so tired of cis women going "do you KNOW how terrifying it is to be a cishet white woman in a first world country and have to potentially share a bathroom with a MALE???"
like my nemesis in hell i can get hatecrimed, harassed or even killed at any time by anyone for any reason at all just because i exist as a trans man. i have to deal with dirty looks being thrown my way because i'm not closeted but also don't pass, people throwing slurs at me and calling me a dirty tranny on the street. i have to listen to a hysterical transphobic weirdo shouting "TRANNIES ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD! WE HAVE TO STOP THEM!" in a middle of a busy shopping mall. i have to see my trans friends come to me with bruises from assault.
so my answer is, do YOU know how terrifying it is to be trans in a fucked up transphobic society that wants you gone? because i think sharing a bathroom with a stranger who wants to piss isn't as bad as being scared for your life every time you go outside.
Yeah like
a) they do not understand misogyny is not The Only Oppression and that oppression isn’t some competition. They can talk about their experiences, sure, but don’t use them to take away from other people’s experiences.
b) I have literally told one of them before that people like them make me as an afab butch human they would claim is a woman kind of afraid to use the women’s bathroom. More so than any trans woman ever would make me afraid. I was told I needed to seek help basically.

♤crotuna is double awful to me as a mituna liker and also guy who is obsesessed with troll society. like thats not how kismessitude works its a rivalry you cant just put to people who dont like each other together and call it pitch. can anyone hear me. its so dark in here.
ALSO when people act like cronus couldnt abuse mituna if they were in spades... KILLING YOU WITH MY MIND. did everyone just forget about terezi and gsmzee???
Pitch is Rivalry, yeah. Competitive Self Betterment. A lot of people seem to forget some genuine affection is necessary for BlackRom to work out and that there's clear distinction between "BlackRom" and "Just Hating Someone". The reason they can get so intense is because you care about the other party. It's a hell of a lot easier to get mad at something if you care about it, either because you love that thing or because it's negatively impacting something you love.
It's why politics get people so up in arms. Politics inherently spell out who you do and do not care for the lives and rights of, and if that steps on groups that represent people that others care about a lot, they're going to get angry. Because... Duh.
Abusive Kismesissitudes are real and extremely possible, and I hate when people act like "Abuse" and "Kismesissitude" are either synonymous or completely exclusive of each other. Gamzee and Terezi were directly addressed as being in an Abusive Kismesissitude. There was a whole damn arc about it. Confronting the fact that it was an Abusive Kismesissitude was done in plain terms and on screen. It's pretty clearly spelled out.
So, yeah, fully agree. Pitch CroTuna is not fucking real and it never will be, because Cronus does not love Mituna and Mituna does not love him, and they're not in a god damned Quadrant. Cronus is explicitly just Mituna's abuser, and while this does involve Cronus sexually assaulting him, the mere presence of Mituna getting assaulted does not at all equate to either of them having feelings for each other, and if you so much as imply anything near contrary to that point, you are a sick fuck and should get hit by a car.
Cronus does not care about Mituna. He cares about the fact that he can take advantage of the fact that he's a very vulnerable target that people will not listen to if he tries to speak up about the fact that he is getting abused. Cronus says that directly. He admits to it, in plain terms!
This is not shipping material, this is explicitly, textually someone experiencing extreme violence and bigotry at the hands of a man who does not care for the rights, happiness, consent, lives, and bodily autonomy of other people. This is explicitly someone getting intentionally targeted and abused because they are a vulnerable, oppressed minority group and the abuser feels confident they can get away with the abuse. Cronus has openly admitted to wishing that "culling meant what it should mean on Beforus", meaning making Alternian Culling methods - which is literal eugenics - the standard, so that he could kill Mituna for the crime of being disabled and get away with it. Nothing Cronus has ever said to Mituna even verges on Pitch Flirting. Not even close. It's just raw, unfiltered violent abuse and hatred.
If one is going to fetishize or romanticize abuse, at least own up to it. Don't try to warp canon just to soften and blur the edges. Don't get coy. Be straightforward and tag + talk about it appropriately, like an adult. Because if you're pairing Cronus and Mituna together, you are not writing a Pitch Relationship, you are writing Extreme Abuse. This shit isn't consensual, and the playing field is NOT even. Do not pretend like it is. Do not get coy. Be honest.

This is probably just stating the obvious, but I think the reason people say that aces/aros aren't inherently queer bc they think queerness is an exclusive club of "Who does society fuck over the most?" and not just. A community of people who don't fit the (allo)cishet norm.
Like yeah the stigmatization of ace/aro people is generally less extreme than that of gay and trans people, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist or is inconsequential. Even so, this shouldn't be a competition on who suffers the most, and I don't think queer people should be defined by their oppression.
Ofc, if someone who's ace/aro but otherwise cishet doesn't personally ID as queer, that's fine. But that's their decision to make. It shouldn't be decided for them.
Also it's funny when people say "aces/aros aren't oppressed" while actively contributing to the discrimination they claim doesn't exist lol.
I don't really have much to add to this cause you really hit the nail on the head and said a lot of stuff that I probably couldn't put into words myself so thanks for sharing your thoughts especially in light of recent events (that poll is bullshit and it just goes to show that people still love to pretend that aspec people have nothing in common with the rest of the lgbtq+ community). And yeah, cishet aspecs can choose not to identify themselves as queer but at the same time I feel like in some cases, choosing not to do so can largely be attributed to feeling unwelcome in the community

as that god awful competition goes on this is your reminder that you do not stand with the oppressed if you indulge in eurovision. eurovision is a deeply racist contest, one that invites the likes of israel, an oppressive state among many others, into some “fun” where people pretend they’re not from backgrounds flooded by mass murder. it’s fuck eurovision and fuck everyone who enjoys it knowing the stakes. y’all bitched and moaned about not knowing last year so let’s see if that still stands as your excuse.

Hi, I hope this isn't rude, but could you please breakdown your thoughts on the whole 'people saying celebrities are terrible because they are zionist, or similar things' thing? Because I've seen it a lot.
this is a little long just because I wanted to be thorough in explaining the reasoning and thought processes here so sorry if you weren’t up for that.
well, just based on historical fact, claiming jews are not indigenous to the levant is asinine and antisemitic. so when people are upset someone is a zionist, they’re upset they believe in jewish indigeneity. that, and they grossly misunderstand zionism and its many forms. they hear zionist and immediately jump to “this person hates palestinians, wants them all dead, and bootlicks for the Israeli government” and that’s where 99% of problems lie when discussing it. because that’s not what it means. the root belief of zionism is that jews have the right to self determination in the land they’re indigenous to, not that no one else can too. there’s no tenant of zionism that states you HAVE to wipe everyone else in the region out in order to self determine there.
now, there’s political and Christian zionism which are both corrupt and bigoted versions of zionism (most jews agree with this, from what I can tell). it’s christian and political zionism that’s used in the way leftists think ALL zionism is. christians use their zionism to be Islamophobic and continue voting for republicans because they fetishize jews and the modern state of Israel. politicians use their zionism to beguile american christian voters and further sow seeds of hate in their base. both these camps use jews as scapegoats for their hatred and lust for power, and progressives have fallen for it hook line and sinker because terrorist organizations like hamas know they can work both sides with this and some misinformation disguised as colorful infographics on social media.
just like the russian bots that have been spewing disinformation to rally support for putin and hate for ukraine, terrorists use leftists’ fundamental misunderstanding of zionism, judaism, and their internal bias toward jews to gain support for hamas, claiming hamas is simply fighting back against israel. but they use language leftists have become obsessed with to do it - like colonialism, for example. they know leftists give a strong response to that language and are prone to fall victim to propaganda, and they’ve used it to their advantage for decades. palestinians haven’t had an election since 2007. would freedom fighters do that? no. freedom fighters value - you guessed it - freedom.
my thoughts are that leftists fall victim to disinformation like “zionism = colonialism because jews are all white Europeans” because they refuse to vet their sources and responsibly engage with the things happening in the world. they would much rather scream at and boycott and ostracize a minority community than do the work because screaming is easier and more people hear it. being mad about zionism for these people has become a social competition to see who can seem the most progressive, and it’s only shown their bare asses. they’re refusing to listen to the 70% of palestinians who want a peaceful resolution with Israel, the people of gaza who marched during oppression chanting anti hamas chants, and refuse to acknowledge what happened on Oct 7th because all of it would make supporting hamas the wrong thing to do. they’re too deep in it now. they can’t admit they’ve been fucking up. they can’t admit that they wanted revolution in their own country so bad that they yelled over and trampled the people they claimed to be trying to help, and they can’t admit they’ve fallen for propaganda because they’ve convinced themselves they’re immune. they believe they’d punch nazis and hide jews and they’re soooo progressive there’s no way they’d fall for obvious lies. but they have. and they will continue to do so until it’s their lives being played with by privileged assholes in another country with racial biases.
unless someone who identifies as zionist is actually calling for the death and/or relocation of palestinians in the region, then no, they’re not terrible. it’s truly that simple.

I notice a trend with people who find aro and aces not belonging to the community because 'their not oppressed' like it's a fucking competition. And how they do that is basically downplay our experiences to just being nothing or something that's not worth mattering. Things such as 'oh your oppressed? What? For your family asking if you date sometimes? That your friends and family may not understand you? Pfft, like that's the same as the r4pe, assault and murder WE experienced!'
Of course, aro and aces face more than that (and even HAVE faced the same things your claiming we don't experience) but that's not the point. The point is, they belittle experiences of aro and ace people without any sense of understanding what it would be/feel like from our perspective. Of course, our loved ones not understanding our orientation is not a big thing to you. But it is to us.
Within my family, love is an expectation, not an option. Many of them express how love is this universal important thing and when I reject that notion by just simply stating that i don't even want to be in one, they dismiss it and tell me that later on, I'll change my mind. It's the same with sex but in a lesser extent (that being it's not as talked about as it is to love) This expectation drives me away from expressing my true self to them, hiding my orientation in fear of their reactions (whether it's not believing in me, claiming that i was brainwashed my the internet, you get the deal) This is combined with the fact that aro and aces are practically invisible in representation (aromantics especially) makes it a rather isolating experience in the closet as most people wouldn't know that people like you exist and with society centering love and sex as this universal thing, how can they believe you? And to anyone who tries to downplay isolation, note this to someone that was very isolated before that; it can truly be a slippery or even miserable experience. It is predominantly so too if your mental health is already declining. Everything remaining in your head with no room to release is very frustrating, I would know, I lived it as my own mental health took a downturn. It's only when i started making friends, people I can talk to without this lingering fear, that i started to get better. And I'm lucky i still have friends who support me and my identity, some people don't even have that at all. Some of them are completely isolated with no one to turn to for support. These people also associate us as being 'too online' but that is majorly because the internet would be the only place to find this support from given free access in expressing ourselves on social media. Why else am I so public about my aroaceness online? But of course, it's not like they'll care. The only reason why they say that shit about us is because they don't bother to understand our experiences/issues we face because it doesn't make sense to them. Like a standard bigoted being, they would rather stay in their bubble and attack rather than venture out to explore our perspectives.
No, I don't care about your orientation, you belittling our experiences is no different from bigots belittling your own experiences. And you know which community also faces isolation from lack of understanding and representation for their identities? That's right, you. The lgb alliance and anyone ace/arophobic in our community. You might as well dismiss your own isolating experiences while your at it.
We have shared similar experiences to you (being in the closet, fear of coming out, lack of representation, lack of understanding etc) and all bigots want us as well as you to be non existent. So why bother trying to gatekeep us out of the community just because we don't follow your personal norms of sexuality? The whole of lgbt is to give people who aren't fit in societal norms a sense of community. We clearly don't fit in society's norms of orientation (that being mono straight cis and allo) so why is this even a debate?
Anyways, aro and aces are part of the community whether you like it or not. Peace.

the oppression olympics suck but we should really start being more compassionate about where it comes from. like. life sucks right now! everyone's life is getting harder which means everyone is screaming louder for help and also has less capacity to listen. so the screams fall on deafer and deafer ears. of course you try to portray your issue as more important than someone else's. of course everyone is jesus on the cross facing the worst of the worst of the worst. more people than we've ever experienced before truly are in the worst crisis of their lives, and we're in a competitive system. being the most victimized is the your half chance in hell you might be heard.
part of the work is unlearning this. creating mutual solutions through solidarity and ending crises together rather than trying to claim your turn with the consolation prizes. but it's really fucking hard to learn anything when you're in crisis. really hard to do anything but survive.

hey! so i just got into wbb recently and just saw a post about catlin clark being racist (???) but i can’t really find anything else on it, why is everyone just now seeing/knowing (maybe people thought it was just the fans and not her possibly ??) and why does it seem like people are trying to hide it at the same time? ( idk i don’t have friends into this stuff sorry if i come off rude or aggressive i’m not trying too, just want to know more about the situation!! :))
hi! this is the first time i’ve seen someone actually ask instead of immediately getting upset.
after the debacle with caitlin and angel reese last year (the 🖐🏾 thing), caitlin’s fans were in a rage and i personally saw a numerous amount of racist posts on twitter toward angel. but, despite caitlin’s platform, she never spoke up about just how wrong they were to say malicious and uncalled for things about angel. angel was described as unclassy, and an animal (which is insane), while when caitlin did the same, all they said was “she loves what she does. nothing but a little friendly competition,” and whether you want to be believe it or not, that is racism. just because angel wasn’t called a slur or anything of the sort, that doesn’t make it racist. in fact, caitlin ended up blocking the people that made comments and posts calling out the fact that her fans are extremely racist. her boyfriend is a known racist male, who has liked and endorsed racist comments about black women. if you can stand beside someone racist and comfortably call them your partner, then you stand beside racism with no issues whatsoever. caitlin has had numerous opportunities to denounce racism and has made the conscious and deliberate choice to not do that. 4 years ago she made a measly twitter post about standing up to racism and it’s been radio silence since. she didn’t have nearly as many followers then. so i wonder, is she not speaking up because she’s afraid to lose clout? it’s a fucking shame.
i struggle to grapple with the fact that caitlin is credited for the hardwork of some absolutely incredible black women, like sheryl swoopes, who was literally being attacked by caitlin’s fans! how can you not defend one of the amazing women that is a part of the reason that you can play the sport that you love, with no bars holding you back? like i just don’t get it. in my absolutely humble opinion, caitlin is coddled to a degree that black players will never experience, ever. she knows that, there’s no way that she doesn’t, because she blocks people that call it out! she benefits from white privilege and doesn’t use it to benefit those without it, by choice! the problem is not that caitlin is a successful white woman, the problem is that she’s a white woman who refuses to use her privilege for good. she’s comfortable and complacent, the worst things to be when it comes down to living in an oppressive society like ours.
so no, i do not support caitlin clark, and i will not. if any of you reading this feel indifferently, then my blog is not for you. caitlin cannot play a woman’s game and then not go to bat for all women.
