How To Use AO3 Tags

Want to find a fic but have no idea how to get started? Are you writing a fic and don't know how to tag it? Don't worry, you aren't alone. Tagging is hard and people don't always follow the same rules. But hopefully this will give you a place to start!

Relationships

Character/MC: romantic or sexual pairing with the fic's main character, may be named or referred to by pronouns or MC

Character/OC or Character/Original Character: romantic or sexual pairing with a named individual created by the author

Character/Character/OC: romantic or sexual relationship containing three individuals all involved with each other (note: this is not the correct tag for a love triangle, in that case, both relationships should be tagged separately)

Character/Reader: romantic or sexual pairing with an unnamed main character (you or Y/N), meant to feel as though the person reading the fic is in the story

Character & MC: platonic or familial relationships with the fic's main character, may be named or unnamed and referred to using pronouns or MC

Character & OC: platonic or familial relationships with a named character created by the author

Character & Reader: platonic or familial pairing with an unnamed main character (you or Y/N), meant to feel as though the person reading the fic is in the story

General: there are either no relationships of note in the fic or the fic does not focus on any relationships

Multi: often used for one-shot series or multiple POVs, should be used when there are 3+ pairings essential to the fic

The big question is always 'how many relationships should I tag in my fic?' Especially in villa fics, there are multiple pairings and the relationship tag can get convoluted. There is no set answer to the question, but the general rule of thumb is that if it's not a key plot point of the fic, don't add it as a relationship tag. In a villa fic, there are going to be multiple relationships, but other than the main pairing, tagging those relationships doesn't add anything. There's nothing more disappointing than looking for a fic for a specific ship only to learn that it's a background pairing you rarely see. This includes one-off sexual relationships and villa couplings that aren't romantic (and if you want to include those, additional tags are your best friend!).

Rating

General: very rare in LITG, but basically, any fic you'd be okay with a child reading

Teen and Up: fluffy, romantic fics with NO smut

Mature: implies the presence of sex or violence without going into detail

Explicit: detailed description of sex or violence

Not Rated: author did not select a rating, could be any of the above ratings

A lot of people get tripped up on the difference between M and E. When it doubt, think about the envelop analogy: a mature fic tells you that the character sent a letter in an envelope. An explicit fic goes into detail about how the character did it including describing putting the letter into the envelope, the taste of it as they licked the seal, etc. These lines can blur when it comes to chaptered fics; some authors may chose to rate a fic as mature but include explicit scenes, so be sure to check the additional tags.

Archive Warnings

Graphic Descriptions of Violence: gory and descriptive violence, it is up to the author as to what exactly falls under this category

Major Character Death: one of the main characters dies, does not have to happen 'on screen' (note: just because this tag isn't there, doesn't mean that there isn't death, just that the author doesn't consider that character to be a major character in the fic)

Rape/Non-con: pretty self-explanatory, does NOT include consensual rape play (although that SHOULD be included in additional tags)

Underage: any sexual activity in which one or both characters are under the age of 18, does not include kissing

Author Chose Not To Use: one of the above warnings might apply, either the author isn't sure if their content qualifies or wants to avoid spoilers, PROCEED WITH CAUTION

No Archive Warnings Apply: none of the archive triggers are included in the fic, does not mean that there are no triggers, but does not have any of the ones listed above

Characters

This is a section for you to include any characters included in the fic. The parties to your pairing should be included here, as well as other characters they interact with. General rule of thumb: if they're just mentioned in passing, you don't have to tag them, but if they have a conversation, it's worth a tag. The big exception to this is villa fics: obviously in a S2 villa fic, every S2 character is going to be mentioned, so you might not need to tag every S2 character unless they contribute to the plot in some way (and there is a tag for 'other love island characters' that exists to capture this). This is entirely up to the author's digression, but as a reader, please remember that just because they're mentioned in the character tags does not mean they are necessarily in a lot of the fic.

Additional Tags

Any tags that don't fit under the other categories. This is where an author can truly tell you what is going to be included in their fic, including any additional triggers that don't fall under the AO3 archive warnings. The nice thing about AO3 tag searches is that it is not exclusive, if you want to filter your search for an alternate universe, AO3 will include all variations of the tag in your search (i.e. AU, alternate universe, and alternate universe-sports AU will all come up on a simple AU search). This is the space to include tropes, triggers, setting, smut/kinks, etc.

Fandom

For the most part, the LITG fandom contains exclusively Love Island The Game-Video game tagged fics. But you will run into the occasional crossover or fusion fic. Crossover fics should be tagged with both fandoms as they contain characters from both. Fusion fics should be tagged with only the LITG tag as they contain exclusively LITG characters in the world of another fandom.

apologies in advance, this is gonna be disappointing 😭🫠

i modded my game a long time ago, using an android. i downloaded a modded apk (as for what site i got it from, i dont remember, probably modyolo) and then saved my game progress with facebook. then i used that facebook login to play on ios (so basically i have modded gems, but i transferred my progress to the unmodded game from the app store)

unfortunately it’s gotten way more difficult . that’s partly because FB removed the facebook login option a few months ago (they claim that it’s due to technical issues, but tbh i think they’re trying to crack down on modding)

i was gonna link to the r/loveislandthegametwo post with all the mod guides, until i saw their newest pinned post

so i looked around and i’ve seen a few people on both LITG subs say that they’re having issues with the mods themselves, as in, they can’t even open the app . i don’t know what’s up, but i'm unable to test any APKs myself at the moment

but if you use ios & have a computer, there's a method someone posted about here

Now, I haven’t tested it yet myself but in theory it should work with the original mod guides. Instead of downloading the litg 2 apk you’ll instead do love Villa, does that make sense? Make sure the og love Villa app isn’t on your phone otherwise it won’t work! You will lose all progress too so bear that in mind!

Now as for which sites have it, you can find a load on google but I have been told the happymod one works perfectly. Just be extra careful as I know happymod has a lot of ads so just be extra cautious in what you click and I’ll always advise moving the save data to a second device. (Seriously be careful, I don’t want to get sued today pls)

Do you respond to comments?

Sometimes. I’m admittedly very bad at engaging back, I used to be way better at it when I was publishing things regularly. I still love and appreciate all the comments and kudos so much!

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I guess that would be Stuck, but then it’s got a sequel where it’s not such a sad ending after all.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

My oneshots are usually happy endings. I have so many unfinished WIPs, it’s a whole other thing. I guess To Build a Home is the only “long” project I ever finished and it’s my idea of a happy ending for the pairing.

Do you get hate on fics?

No. I think I only ever got one rude comment in all my fics, I can’t even remember what it was now, but I just deleted it and went on a tirade in my author’s note in the next chapter, I was really upset 😭

Do you write smut?

I started writing it in recent years. I’m not the best at it, but I find it very fun 🤭

Craziest crossover:

The only crossover I have is Avengers Initiative: Reset and it kind of makes sense since it’s all within the MCU and adjacent universe.

I think one of my old fics in ff.net got translated into another language at some point, but I can’t really remember which one now. Oh and I used to translate my old fics into Portuguese too.

All time favorite ship?

Considering the amount of words I wrote/read for them, it’s got to be Steve/Natasha (CapWidow, Romanogers) from the MCU. But I’m such a shipper, I have so many pairings I love.

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Sadly, all of them. I’m very bad at finishing projects and once I lose my inspiration to work on something it’s practically impossible I’ll get back into it at a later time.

What are your writing strengths?

I hate this question because I’m very bad at knowing myself as a writer. I’ve heard I’m good at dialogue tags, like I know how to convey the right reactions/emotions with a few words without getting too much into inner monologue. Which makes sense because usually I start writing something with the dialogue, the back and forth and then I’ll work on the scene around it.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I also hate this question because I know there’s so much I need to work on, but it’s hard for me to list them all down at the same time. I mentioned I’m terrible at finishing long projects so that’s one. I know my characters when I’m writing them but at the same time it’s hard for me to translate that into my writing. I have a really hard time creating original characters, my MCs are just facets of myself in general, so it’s hard for me to really get into their characterization.

Thoughts on dialogues in another language?

I’m totally fine with it, I think I’ve done it in a couple of fics. As long as there’s the translation somewhere (author’s notes, in brackets or narration) I don’t mind.

First fandom you wrote in?

Sailor Moon, back when I was 14 years old and used an actual notebook.

Favorite fic you’ve written?

Ahhh there’s so many of them! I’m really proud of the ones I wrote for the MCU, they were a lot of fun. I have a Sailor Moon long fic I spent years writing, I still think of going back and finishing it. Recently I’ve been obsessed with Heaven’s Secret though so if I have to pick one it’s probably Prayers on his Lips. It was just so much fun getting back into writing after I went through a very long pause in all my projects.

You've written for a bunch of characters and are amazing at all of them, but can I just ask how you get to know each character well enough to write them accurately? Because sometimes, playing their route isn't enough for me, and as much as I'd love there to be a guide to writing each character, that doesn't exist and everyone writes them differently, so how do you figure it out so damn well?

Oh, oh bless your little heart abhdsajkdachhhaha. Characterisation is my weak point. I know it, most of my readers know it, God, my haters certainly know it. I suck at characterisation. It's my biggest point of insecurity in my writing so the fact you sent this to me, just bless you you're so bloody sweet.

Characterisation is hard.

I genuinely think the things that have helped me the most with characterisation are:

Talking to other people about the game

Join a discord, post lots on tumblr, interact, make memes, etc. The more you see someone say "this is so Jakub-coded", or do a fan casting of a TV show you like featuring LITG characters, you'll start to get a better idea of their personalities.

Be open and creative with headcanons.

@driftycities's Lewie in 'To Let a Good Thing Die' broke me. @sparxaf's Felix in This Momentary Blue. There are a million examples of where a headcanon can change the entire fic. In the first, Lewie talks in a Yoda voice when he's drunk, and it's adorable. In TMB, Felix's mum was a classical pianist, and she taught him to play, and he's good, and it's so sad.

One really well thought out headcanon can form the basis for the entire character development. It also really sticks with people.

Read other people's fics.

This isn't to say copy them. Not at all. But if you read other people's stories, you'll start forming your own ideas of what they're like.

(Optional) Answer questions about your characters

I'm a bit of a pantser, I'll be honest. I find it easiest to write when I have zero plan and just dive straight into it. But on the odd occasion I have planned something out, I've found it really helpful to have some side questions about them.

What's their heartrate challenge song, and what would they wear? Do they like coffee or tea? What about their family-- what are they like, and how does your character get on with them?

I don't know if this is helpful whatsoever. I wish there was a guide to writing each character hahahahha! But the interpretations would be so wildly different that it would be a mess.

Are you also sick and tired of following guides on how to get Kassam but still failing at the end? Is he still not bringing you breakfast on the second day, doesn’t show any interest in you during speed dating, and absolutely did not say your name? Me too bro, me too.

But I think I cracked the code.

How you might ask. I got Kassam by being the most glamourous, most extra, loudest, and “you’re so out there and I don’t think I can keep up with this” MC. Yeah, you’ve read correctly. I didn’t even plan on getting him. I was trying to finish the Gary route at least once, but DJ got us fallin’ in love, twice.

And this got me thinking. Except for those guides who suggest acting as bland and neutral as possible, there are other players who also say that they got Kassam while acting the complete opposite of what the guides tell you.

So, how do you get Kassam to say your name?

Short answer: be consistent, don’t be a hypocrite, stick to one personality, don’t start drama but stand up for yourself if necessary without fearing of hurting other people’s feelings

Long answer: buckle up.

1. Kassam’s Personality

I think we have a good idea of how Kassam is. But there are some hidden things behind his first reserved nature.

Depending on when and if you decide to spend gems on his scenes, no matter if he said your name or not, he tells you that he needs some time to open up when meeting new people. He likes getting to know new folks – that’s what he likes about being a DJ – but he first needs some time to break out of his shell.

However, he is not shy, he’s just an introvert. He’s confident with who he is. And with the right person, he will reveal some sides of him that certainly, I did not expect him to have.

heart eyes when you say that you don’t care what your Villa-LI thinks about you flirting with Kassam

admits and laughs about the fact that it’s not hard for him to kick out a couple when the Villa has to decide who should leave

rambles on for several screens about getting multiple pets when you answer that you would spend the money on a house for you two to grow old (free scene)

Well, how can we describe Kassam in a few words?

confident with who he is

knows what he wants and doesn’t let anything stop him from pursuing it, no matter if he makes enemies along the way

doesn’t care about loyalty while being single

calm, quiet but enjoys everything from the sidelines

jealous when in a relationship

Why is it important to know how he really is? Because he wants a partner who is just like him.

2. The Ideal MC

Kassam showed interest in me during CA but only during the second round of the speed dating thing. Why? Because my MC was inconsistent with what she said and did.

If I had been more consistent, I definitely would have got him to say my name, trust me.

Now, what the hell does “being consistent” mean?

One quality he looks for in a partner is that they should know what they want. They should have made up their mind about something and stick to that opinion, no matter who controversial and or hurtful it may be.

And that’s exactly what MC should do.

Of what do you think when I say “Lottie?” Yeah, “girl code”. Because that’s what she was constantly preaching. Even when Kassam couldn’t care less about loyalty, the fact that Lottie (uh most of the time) put the girls first and vehemently defended herself when confronted that being loyal doesn’t bring you far on love island is what Kassam admired about her.

Why did Kassam only like Lottie? Let’s look at Marisol and Priya. At the very beginning, Marisol preaches that she puts herself first, but when you think about it, until CA she got stuck in a friendship couple with Bobby and the shitstorm about her and Rocco obviously affected her. She did care about other people’s opinions.

Priya, idk, she said that playing a prank on the boys is immature, but look who’s jumping on beds on CA haha jk

Hope could have been a possible candidate. I even hc that he likes an “obsessive” partner, but she was too much, I guess. Also, he wouldn’t have had a chance anyway, knowing how much Hope wanted to get back together with Noah, so why waste time and energy on her when you have someone who is stuck in a friendship couple with Ibrahim?

If you pay for the gem scene with Marisol, you get some intel about what Kassam looks for in a partner. This shit opened my fucking eyes.

“A girl who is true to herself. One who doesn’t mind putting herself ahead of others.”

This is what Kassam saw in Lottie and this is exactly what MC needs to be as well.

As you can see, my MC couldn’t be boring for shit like why should she? It takes like 15 minutes to speed run one day, what tf do you expect haha. Like I said, I wasn’t even planning on getting Kassam.

So, what I’d say is that you should do the following:

pick one personality (people pleaser, outgoing, mean, shy, laidback, drama queen etc.) and stick to it

don’t start drama or add to drama unless you were pulled into it (see example below)

remember what your opinions about certain topics are bc they will come up later and you have to confirm them. don’t be hypocritical

if you promised something, keep that promise

I am sure that Kassam will say your name even if your MC was loud bc the other boxes are all ticked. He will definitely show interest in you during the second round of speed dating, but since I can’t keep track of what my MC said or did, I can’t confirm that to 100%.

Some examples for you about promises and drama:

If you picked “i always put myself first” on Day 1, you better sneak off and flirt with Gary while Marisol and Hannah are arguing about breakfast or you side with Marisol and tell her that that’s what Hannah had to hear if you didn’t show any interest in Gary

Prime example on how to handle drama: When you visit Marisol and Bobby/Ibrahim at the gym area, stay out of their argument first until Marisol asks for your opinion. Your MC should side with that person whose opinions fits to that what MC said earlier that day. Do not say “that doesn’t involve me” twice. Kassam doesn’t want somebody with no backbone.

If you promised Bobby and Marisol to play peacemaker, do it and don’t flirt with Jacub because you won’t have time left to do so.

If you said no to them twice (Bobby confirms that you won’t help during that conversation), flirt with Jacub and skip right to Chelsea and Jacub picking their dates. Don’t resolve one of the two girl conflicts because you have some time to kill. It won’t make you look good in Kassam’s eyes

If you told your best female friend that you like Lucas, repeat that when asked later after every girl had their date with Lurik. Your best friend even says something along the lines of “well, that’s consistent with what you said earlier.”

If you rubbed yourself against the boys during the slime challenge more than necessary, tell Lottie that you don’t care about her girl code talk and watch Hope and Lottie being speechless. So satisfying.

3. Busting Myths

My favorite part. Let’s get into it, shall we? Ask me if you need additional explanations.

You don’t need a new account, nor do you have to delete your cache in advance.

You don’t have to wear only the default clothes, thank God.

Gem dialogue options don’t lessen your chance. Be real, from a company’s perspective, does it make sense to not make your players spend real money on gems?

You can pick any LI on Day 1 you like. You don’t have to choose Rocco or Gary. Kassam’s route is not locked with certain Villa LIs (but with Elijah’s perhaps, see reply in notes)

All choices matter and will be taken into consideration for your heart score with Kassam but especially those on Day 14 (or my score was just critical that day haha)

Kassam doesn’t value loyalty. That’s not what he liked about Lottie (see above).

4. Day 14 – Casa Amor

Like I said, either my heart score was very critical when I arrived there or the choices do matter and are highly sensitive because I tried to recreate Kassam being interested in me by restarting the day, but omg I couldn’t do it! Maybe you can tell me something about your experience here :D

Either way, certain criteria have to be fulfilled on your first day at CA:

Don’t show interest in any other CA boy except Kassam and Elijah. (edit: lethia.killua said that they didn’t flirt with Elijah and got him while I did and did not to see if that would make a difference and it did for me. tell me about your experience!)

During the introduction, say hi to Elijah, wink at him, and say hi to Kassam.

To see if you’re successful, the following should happen in part 2 of the day:

Elijah is your first speed date. He must be shooed away by Kassam because he stayed longer at your table. When he leaves, he must look back at you and say “bye MC 🥰!”

Once I figure out how to make MC not be “one of the most fun, outgoing girl” Kassam has ever known, he should say my name at the very beginning haha

5. Checkpoints to Confirm MC’s Personality

There are certain points where you can check how your MC appears to others. Here are the very few that popped into my head:

on day 1 in the evening, Marisol will give you her two cents about the ideal type of your current LI

After Priya stole your LI and you go out to ask the boys to pick you, they should express their opinion about you. -> for me, it was Bobby (!) saying that he’s not sure bc MC was so out there (and you are not, my dear Sir?!)

Date with Jacub! Pick his correct answers (“speed” and “I do whatever I want” or sth) and he should say either “You don’t rub me as someone who goes after what they want. You always put your friends first”, “You don’t say what you think out loud” or that you are true to yourself, which I never got before haha

Gem scene with Marisol at CA when she makes Graham make her smoothies (see above)

6. Summary

Mix the sexy, playful, dramatic side of Lucas with Gary’s chill side and wish to have children, insert Jacub’s desire to have a partner who is true to themselves and always put themselves first, sprinkle in Ibrahim’s anxiety to open up to new people and 💥 you have ✨Kassam✨

‘season 2 - challenges’

in bold, the correct options.

noah: pet snake called frank / collects miniature sculptures /  favorite food is monster munch (pet snake is a direct reference to returning jasper-miles, on season 1)(he does mention a snake later, but we don’t quite know which information is truly canon)(i pretend i don’t see it)

hope: sings in a choir / make an amazing roast dinner / kicked out of water park

marisol: salsa dance / been to prison / allergic to pineapple

bobby: won a prize for buttercream / been in a punk band called paisley cuddle / lasted over three minutes and thirty two seconds on the mechanical bull

priya: won a spelling bee / been a model / caught shoplifting (she came in second on the spelling bee, stole a plushie octopus when she was five, and modeled for a while)

mc: no matter what options you choose, your partner won’t guess it right, and that’s the excuse priya uses to choose him later. however, there’s a possibility of gaining heart faces with specific islanders, and those are pretty obvious. (for instance, if your lie is “steal a friend’s boyfriend”, lottie will give you heart faces, along with hope)

all the right choices for boys and the girls’, when you choose to not be the girl in the card

“boy that spent £500 on a date” - ibrahim (if you choose noah, hope will go fo lucas ¬¬)

“girl that got a full makeover for a movie night” - mc/priya (if you don’t say it’s you, gary will go for the kiss with mc anyway)

“boy with most sexual partners” - gary (there’s a glitch that makes lottie scowl if you kiss rocco, even if you’re coupled up with him)(if you go for lucas or henrik, the kiss is the same, but one of the girls will say “putting it on the new boy?” and your response is “go big or go home”)

“girl that danced on the tables” - mc/hope (the boys will always think is mc. lucas will only kiss you if you flirted with him previously. if not, he says he didn’t feel like it)(noah will say “i should’ve seen it coming” if you say it’s not you, and hope is the right answer)

“back, sack, crack wax” - reddit said, at the time, it was bobby, but marisol goes for rocco either way

“cancelled a romantic weekend to stay with a friend” - mc (rocco will kiss marisol regardless)

“i swear ____ comments on everything”: mc’s name (if you choose the option “bang on”, the boy that is your “second choice” will grin at you)

“calling it now, ____ is the biggest player on this year’s love island”: bobby (no matter what your response is, bobby will always wink and tap his nose)

these are just the secrets, but it’s worth adding them here.

mc has to make someone blush. it doesn’t matter who you choose or how long it takes, it will happen and casa amor will still win. for speed, go for arjun or carl, any of the options. felix doesn’t budge, and priya eventually gets it done if you don’t.

sucking toes: arjun, priya and marisol like it. go for them for the sake of it, and put that toe in your mouth!

cupboard is a gem scene. if you choose it, it’s not as interesting. there’s an awkward kiss and the conversation is severely repeated for the boys. only a few short bits are different for each one. not worth the gems.

Youcef Route

So I've been asked multiple times through other platforms about the Youcef route. I'm posting here in hopes it finds the right people :)

You do not need to do everything. I will let you know which episodes have the most important choices to unlock his route (34, 35, 36) but if you want as much dialogue/interaction as possible, here's everything. Did I miss something? Maybe, just tell me. But again, most of this is just fluff and does not need to be done for his route to be unlocked! I hope this helps!

THIRSTY EDITION (we're talking DEHYDRATION)

Episode 7 Hot Tub Date. To get all his dialogue, ask him how he got into modeling and of course, kiss him in the gem scene.

Episode 8 Never Have I Ever. When Youcef says he was engaged, choose "I want to hear it!" Why? He'll tell MC she's beautiful. Any time we can get a compliment from this man, we're doing it.

Episode 9 Gym Scene with Hazeem. He's going to decline you here and it's going to hurt but I haven't determined if this adds relationship. It honestly might. Choose "How about Youcef picks me?" (cue "PICK ME, CHOOSE ME, LOVE ME" scene from Grey's Anatomy)

Episode 10 Recoupling. I highly recommend choosing Bruno. This will be the only way you get Youcef for the zipper scene and for the compliment-off. If you couple with James or Najuma, Bruno will be the LI in those scenes.

Episode 13 Massage. Was this one even a question? Of course we're doing this. Added bonus: he'll call MC gorgeous. It doesn't seem to matter if you're flirty or friendly. Whatever you prefer here.

Episode 14 Kiss of Miss. You already know I'm going to tell you to kiss that French model back. Do it once, do it twice. Quench your thirst, it's a long wait for that next kiss.

Episode 15 Juliet & Valentina's Dates. When Youcef is about to go on a date with Juliet, there's a choice for internal thoughts. One of them is "I wish I was going on another date with Youcef" and I honestly think that this might add relationship somehow. Like I said, MC doesn't say it out loud so no harm, no foul.

Episode 23 Most Likely To...

*You can pick Youcef as the best date planner if you want but if you want to win, go ahead and pick Tom. There is no extra dialogue for Youcef if you pick him here anyways.

*If you are coupled with Bruno, yay! Youcef is the one who helps you with the zipper! It's a cute scene. He pulled the zipper up instead of down but hey, we'll take what we can get.

Episode 24 Monarch Party

*IF you are coupled with Bruno, you can choose Youcef to compliment. Bruno just gives a worried look if you tell Youcef he's smoking hot, it does not come back up. If you are coupled with Najuma or James, you will not have this option so no Youcef crumbs for you here.

Episode 31 Bye Juliet and Kobi. When Juliet offers her advice to Youcef and tells him he has high expectations, MC can comment. Choose "It's because he's so handsome!" I do think it adds relationship to him.

Episode 32 Preparing for the "talent" show. Kitchen scene - choose to walk in sexily. Youcef stops and smiles at MC.

Episode 34 Lover's Nook. If you have picked options that give you relationship with him, Youcef will be the one of him, Will and Najuma that asks MC to join them (assuming you are not with Will or Najuma). IMPORTANT CHOICE. Make sure you take his side in the argument. This choice is very, very important. I think I always offer to leave and take his side when Najuma says things.

Episode 35 Outside the Villa, goodbye Kelly. Again, IMPORTANT CHOICE. When Kelly offers her advice, you can say either "You wish he chose you" OR "You're out of line." Neither give negative response from Youcef.

Episode 36 After the game. IMPORTANT CHOICE. Make sure you explain quickly or try to explain. YES, YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED. I have had people tell me that this choice changed the outcome even though they picked correctly in 34 and 35.

At this point, you should get the following responses if you are on Youcef's route:

Episode 39 poolside with Tiffany (and Bruno). If you are on his route and choose "Honesty is the best policy" he will be flustered and act like he had a realization. If you pick one of the other two, he will say that's a shame and thought you two were on the same page. If you do not get these responses, you are not on his route.

Episode 40 after telling off Dylan. When the islanders bring you breakfast, choose "I love you guys!" and Youcef should blush with Oliver if you're on his route. Same as 39, if you do not get this reaction, you are not on Youcef's route.

hiii! i hope this ask finds you well! <3 this is probably going to sound really stupid, but does the mod need to be updated for us to play s6 with mods?

i downloaded it about halfway through s5 and i guess i got the timing right and didn't have to wait :c

I hope you’re doing well too and happy almost s6 release day!

I was going to wait until tomorrow and see what my app does in terms of updating before I said anything but here’s what I know so far:

Modyolo is on like v17 something of their APK and the LITG is on v21 I think. So basically, people are struggling to get their APK off the computer and sync it to a normal app on their phone. This should be fixed once the s6 version of the APK goes live and then everything should work as explained in the mod guides.

But if you’re like me (you downloaded the modded app and then moved the unlimited gems save over using the cloud onto a normal app) then I believe it will update with s6 as its only the save data that’s been modded and not the app! I hope you’re still with me 😅

So basically, i think if you’re playing on a normal app from the App Store you’ll be fine and it’ll update tomorrow. If the app you play on is directly from a mod site then it’ll be frozen and you’ll have to wait for them to update it on that site!

Okay, so the (near) impossible has happened: a certain DJ from Newcastle has shown interest in my MC! 😭🥰🦄

Sadly, Kassam didn’t say my name when the Casa boys were talking about who they want to get to know - but when we had the speedy date he was annoyed that Elijah wouldn’t go away already, I got added dialogue about why he came on the show and he said he’d like to get to know me better at the end of the dates and that he hopes he’s making a good impression, which never happens! So yeah, I’m running with this and I’m gonna put in everything I can remember I did in case it helps others trying to get this elusive unicorn to fall in love with them.

I seriously picked options I’d never done before. He had said my name once a long time ago, but I don’t really recall what had happened to get that, as I hadn’t even known that was possible at the time - the only notable things I remember was that I was a social media influencer (model) and that at the recoupling on day 9 I’d dumped Ibrahim to be with someone else (maybe Gary?). So I don’t know what could possibly influence this, so I’m writing down everything I can remember from my current route. I’m paraphrasing a lot of the actual dialogue options because I’m writing this from memory, but hopefully you’ll know what I mean - if not, let me know and I’ll clarify.

Profession: Social media influencer (videos). I dunno why, but I always had a suspicion this matters with the LIs. I noticed sometimes I get different reactions from the OGs in their responses for the first coupling up if it’s the only thing I change about my MC from one play to another, but I’m not completely sure.

Personality: I went for a mix of Hope and Lottie. I said I’m all about putting the girls first, that I love going all out with my looks and that I’m loud af and that I love to party - and for every option afterwards I chose accordingly, such as:

Saying “where are the margaritas at” when the group first gets together;

I went with the girls to chat, and when they’re talking about whether they want a guy to spend money on them I went with the second option, “it’s not about how much he spends”;

Telling the boys we needed to get our looks right for the first night;

Showing off my bathing suit in front of the boys when Lottie and Priya are arguing by the pool on the second day;

Strategizing first with the girls before meeting my LI by the daybeds;

For Two Truths and a Lie, I chose all the correct answers and at the end said the game brought the group closer;

For my options, I went with spent 5.000 on shoes, got Ed Sheeran to serenade me and stole my best friend’s boyfriend (lie);

I also picked a lot of neutral or funny options, such as the waking up in the loo when Marisol talks about sleepwalking or “what if there is no nan?” when she’s talking about Gary on the Talent Contest day;

During breakfastgate, I sided with Hannah on everything and chose the first options after Marisol walks away so Hannah would be happy with me;

I also reacted with the cute/nice options for everything related to Hope/Noah.

LI route: I was doing for loyalest of routes but (plot twist) with Rocco/Lucas.

I chose the first (flirty) option for all the OG boys when I met them before choosing Rocco;

I flirted with Rocco at every opportunity I had, chose dare and sent him the picture saying he’s the best looking there and I went full on when he kissed me. I chose the extra option at the end of truth and dare and chose truth and said I’d never go for someone I knew my friend fancied;

When Marisol said her analysis on Rocco and if it sounded like I was what he was looking for I said, I think so;

I didn’t react to Rocco flirting with others and when he comments on flirting I say it’s only natural and it doesn’t mean anything. When he said Priya could be a model, I reacted with “what about me?”

Bobby wanted a chat and I kept things neutral and friendly, but on the second day when he pulled me at the kitchen I said he was my type and looked at him through my lashes;

When Priya asks about my couple, I chose kiss and tell and that we’re one of the strong couples and I chose I meant what I said when Rocco asked later;

On the second night, I let the boys come talk to me. I told Rocco I wanted us to work out, then bizarrely Gary came chatting to me and I chose, “what about Hannah?” (I was basically friendzoning him throughout the game, poor crane boy)

Somehow Rahim kept choosing me on day 3 so I went back and redid some things: I chose “You’re so right babes” when Rocco goes on about the coffee people to up my score with him (but I asked Lottie to do a reading, wished for love, followed the instructions and said it was fun), said “what’s going on” then sided with Marisol at the gym scene so Rahim would be upset with me;

During the grafting, I chose Rocco first and all the options that would get me the heart eyes (what’s special about the hills, I’d love to go someday, he should choose me at the recoupling), I jumped into the pool in the scene with Ibrahim and said he should pick Marisol, then I talked to Bobby, saying I was confident, that he’d figure out what to do for the recoupling and “do you even use the gym?” - I thought it’d make him upset but of course Bobby never really gets upset lol

When Gary asks if there’s something between us, I said I like him as a friend;

When Lurik first comes to the Villa, I acted friendly but not flirty. I ran down while everyone was asleep and greeted them both then apologized to the girls. When Lucas was describing his ideal girl, I said, it sounds like me, but I sat with Rocco and reassured him when Lucas said he had his eye on me;

I was mostly neutral/not interested on the dates with Lurik, for Henrik I remember picking the central heating option and movies. With Lucas, I picked the sparkling personality option and the glamorous party. At the end of the date when he goes all rambling I picked “shall I give you a shovel?” And then “I thought it was cute”;

When Rocco asked about the dates, I said it’s nice to be asked and that I was only going because I had to. When Priya asks about recoupling with the new boys, I said I wasn’t interested (both times). When Rocco asked during the party, I said I wasn’t interested (it led to some new dialogue/interaction I’d never had with him too in the extra diamond scene btw);

I was basically nice/neutral but not flirty with all the other guys (I didn’t flirt with the boys in the gym with Lottie, for instance) and I never called him off until Roccogate - I’ll add a section about that later.

Relationship with Priya: I sided with Lottie on everything (which is so not my norm).

I stuck around to chat to Lottie and Hannah and I accidentally picked “she’s just playing the game”, but then I said we’ll show her who’s boss;

When meeting her, I chose to be formal and that she should back off my partner;

I kicked off when she stole him from me and reiterated this to the girls in the dressing room, but when Marisol said I’d need to steal a guy from one of the girls I burst into tears;

When Marisol came to the daybeds and we chatted about Priya cracking on with my guy I said I’d be upset if that happened;

When Rahim chose Priya at the recoupling I said “ugh” and when Gary chose Marisol I stayed silent but later I called him off for not giving Hannah a chance;

I called her off for going for Noah in the slime challenge and I just stayed silent when Lottie made a comment about me also rubbing against the guys;

I said Lottie should tell Rahim about Priya when she was complaining right after and said I was sorry about rubbing up against someone other than my partner (I also didn’t choose to get extra hot with Gary);

When they have the fight, I chose every option that backed Lottie. Then I went first to Lottie, comforted her and sided with her, going off on Priya. Then I talked to Hope, but didn’t talk directly to Priya and told them about my talk with Lottie (Hope is upset that it looks like I’m causing more trouble, but MC replies that she’s just saying how she feels);

When the girls gather at the firepit, I sat with Lottie and it looked like it was gonna kick off, but Lottie was happy that I had sided with her and surprisingly that seemed to solve the fight? I dunno, or maybe it was a glitch because Hope said she was happy the fight got solved and the next day they were acting like everything was fine.

Roccogate: This is where I kicked off. I felt entitled to it, because I’d been the perfect reassuring partner to Rocco up until then, I never flirted with the others and rejected their advances and then he pies me off like that? No sir, this is when I turned into Lottie.

During the Kiss and Tell, I only snogged Rocco for my first card (boy who has the biggest number of partners) and for the others I chose the neutral kiss option with Gary and Lucas;

I told Hope to kiss Rahim for the £$500 date and I admitted to the makeover for the movies, but denied the dancing on the tables (suggested Hope as the answer) and denied the canceling weekend trip one, too;

I kicked off at Marisol when she kissed Rocco and kicked off when he kissed her again;

I chose the extra card in the diamond scene and snogged Bobby then flirted with Henrik;

In the dressing room with Hope and Priya, I said it came out of nowhere, that Rocco wouldn’t do that to me, that I wasn’t convinced, that I was hurt and that the girls should gather to talk;

Then I talked to Henrik/Rahim and went off on Marisol, choosing the confrontational options and I told her to back off of Rocco;

During cocktails, I sided with Lottie and Bobby came during the scene in the firepit, I sat up next to him but in the diamond scene I only chose to give him a compliment instead of going for the kiss;

I was a mean bitch to Rocco throughout the Mr Love Island contest (I helped Bobby and got him the crown) and for the voting of the boys I said I wanted him out and that I wasn’t convinced after Marisol’s speech. I voted for Noah as the boy most likely to get a gf and Rocco to be voted out (and I said I didn’t want to lose Henrik because I wanted Lucas to stay lol);

For the interactions in the morning, I let Lucas initiate the kiss in the extra scene, I said Rocco would be dumped later that day anyway, I asked about Priya/Rahim and I said “Marisol, what are you doing?!” And that staying with them was the last thing I wanted (this and the fact that I went for Lucas later completely deteriorated my friendship with Marisol btw, but we get on better terms later on);

During Mean Tweets, I got every single answer wrong (except the one for Rocco and I was mean to him). I also chose my name for the Jake tweet about a girl deserving better, but I also chose myself as treating Rocco badly (instead of Lottie), I guessed Gary as the biggest player and then Bobby for the boy who snogged someone else after recoupling (which makes no sense considering Lottie, but I wanted to lose the challenge);

After the dumping, I stayed and talked to Henrik and kissed him and I was mean to Rocco all the way to his walking away from the Villa. Then I asked Lucas to share a bed as friends before I cracked on with him the next day like he was all I was looking for all along lol

Operation Nope: I didn’t participate at all. I said I thought they were romantic and that I wasn’t into the operation. I told Gary I thought Hope/Noah were alright and when I talked to Hope I told her what Priya had said and I was generally mean to Priya throughout the evening. I reassured Noah and gave him a friendly hug. I was nice to Lottie and said I was sorry for not having included her in what had happened that day. I also told Hope about the Noah/Priya convo I barely overheard after the Coming Clean challenge and I told Priya to apologize to Hope and back off from Noah.

Ministry of Sound Party and aftermath: I said I wasn’t into Jakub and likewise I didn’t nominate myself for a date with him. During the Priya/Lottie/Chelsea fight I chose “that’s awful” when Chelsea tells on the secret kiss and also the option that said, “but this is important!” But otherwise I was nice to Lottie. I told Chelsea to just apologize to Lottie and when Marisol recruited me to solve the fights I chose the options for “but I love the drama”, “what’s in it for me”, “how is talking gonna solve anything” before I reluctantly agreed to help and the next day I got the girls to get along again (by choosing the mostly neutral options).

Casa Amor: I said yeah to partying when Hope suggests just forgetting everything back at the Villa while we’re there and that my head could turn depending on the right guy. When Elijah walked out, I looked at Chelsea but then I winked at him when Felix walked out and I responded to Kassam with the simple “hello” option. For the speedy dates, I said, “So you’re a model” to Elijah so I’d get the heart eyes reaction and he’d want to stay chatting to me. For Kassam, right answers are “tell me about being a DJ” and “I just wanted to escape”. If you pull him for a chat that night (Carl came up to me but I said I wanted to talk to someone else), he’s gonna ask if I’m worried about what Lucas would think and I answered “I don’t care what he thinks”. And finally when I asked him to cuddle in bed, he said yes! (he likes being little spoon btw)

This is all I can remember and I don’t know what matters or not for getting him to like us. When we couple up with him in Casa Amor, Marisol says she thinks he likes someone who is quieter, who doesn’t get all the attention and who is true to herself, and that I’m too loyal for that - but this makes no sense considering my MC and the fact that he did like me and wanted to share a bed with me when I asked. My guess, and from reading other Kassam guides out there, is that I think he wants someone who is consistent: say what you mean and act like you said you would. If you’re loud, be loud. If you’re loyal, be loyal. And so on.

The weird, inconsistent thing on my part here is that I said I’d put the girls first but I got into fights with Priya (I was honestly just trying it out because I’d always been best friends with her and I wanted to see what it was like if I always sided with Lottie) and then Marisol during Roccogate, but I felt it would be deserved/justified or even logical if he was the guy I really wanted and the only one I’d been interested in so far. But it might count for why he didn’t say my name and why my score with him wasn’t higher right off the bat to get the pool scene, for instance.

Now I’m off to break Lucas’s heart by bringing Kassam back to the Villa with me - but then Lucas also brings in Blake so turnabout and all of that.

❝ how to get: lucas ❞

lucas koh, 27, oxford, physiotherapist

* here’s lucas’ masterlist, with every post made exclusively about him, including links for fics/one shots, and ‘asks’ people send my way. it’s updated daily.*

if you never played his route before, be prepared for a lot of flavor and kinkiness, besides depth and wholesome moments. lucas’s got his feet on the ground at all times, and can be on the side of putting yourself first, but don’t be mistaken. he’s not selfish. he’s assertive. there’s a large difference.

he will absolutely go out of his way to make a girl happy, and it shows on his route.

this guide is for the maximum “heart face” score, and there’s a few suggestions at the bottom. all correct answers will be “in bold.” we’ll start with the dialogues by the pool, right when they both arrive. henrik’s “wrong answers” will be side by side with lucas’, since you need to reject one to get with the other.

if you go for the ‘posh’ option, he’ll be sort of offended, so don’t do it. after the conversation, and the boys barging in, you’ll move to the firepit, where you can choose who to sit next to: lucas / henrik / your partner

❝ firepit ❞

if you decide to sit next to lucas, “heart faces” will rain from him, and your partner will either give a lot of “frown faces” (depending on your moral score with them) or just simply say “why are you all looking at me? she can sit wherever she wants”. then the dialogue about lucas’ type, he’ll describe the girl as:

“but yeah, my type... I guess I’m used to girls who have a more decent taste. Who know what they want in life and how to get it.”

✰ lucas: “that sounds like...”: me / hope / marisol

✰ henrik: “that sounds like...”: me! / priya? / lottie?

gary will push lucas to tell us his number, and a bubble of choices will appear for you.

"lucas doesn't seem to want to tell us his number": tell him he doesn't have to / push for him to tell it / stay quiet and watch

he’ll say it regardless, because gary will push him to, but you’ll get “heart faces”.

✰ lucas’ magic number is 7: while henrik’s is 13.

“seven? that’s...”: quite a lot / barely anything / pretty average

✰ henrik’s number is 13

“thirteen women? that’s...”: kinda sleazy / pretty tame / average, really

after that, noah will ask the new boys who they’ve got their eye on. if you chose all the flirty options before, lucas will say:

“i’ll go first. It’s got to be “mc” for me. you’re the sort of woman I go for, and i would love to get to know you better.”

“lucas just said he fancies me!”: flirt with him / reject his advance / reassure current partner ((if you reject his advance, or reassure your partner, he says “that’s alright. I like a good challenge”))

flirting with him will secure your invitation for the “paid” date, on part 2 of day 5. henrik and lucas will always have the dates with you. both of them. but the paid option is the one you’re interested the most.

so, let’s jump to the date portion. all the answers here are made to repel henrik from wanting you, in bold:

“this way you know I’m not messing around!”: it’s working / it’s not working

“henrik’s saying I’m already a celebrity to him”: babe, don’t I know it! / i don’t feel like a celebrity / try to look past it

“I want to know…”: what you’re hoping to get out of coming here / what you think about the other islanders / what your favorite food is *these are questions you can ask him, no frown/heart faces*

“henrik’s ideal date ends in front of the log fire”: that sounds absolutely dreamy / more of a central heating girl myself / surely that’s not what your life looks like

“on a normal evening, I’m mostly…”: out socializing / working on projects / chilling at home

“do you like to read?”: i love to read / more of a movie person / I prefer game

🖤 “am I happy lucas picked me for this date?”: i’m really happy / it’s nice i guess / no

🖤 “lucas wants to know how I’m feeling with (partner)”: i’m really happy with him / not great, to be honest / wow, you don’t mess around

🖤 “ok, when I think about the person I want to spend my life with, I picture…”: in my kitchen at home / in a fancy hotel / at a glamorous party / on a trek through the jungle

🖤 “he’s not going to tell me!”: outrageous! / fair enough / you tricked me

first interaction it’s the group conversation, and there’s the talk about henrik’s occupation. **the one i put in italic and bold are both neutral and the correct one. you don’t wanna say you would prefer rocco, right?**

“rocco has met his match:” i’d climb big boulders with Henrik anyday / what’s highball bouldering? / rocco doesn’t need to climb high to impress me

🖤 you have the opportunity of calling them to join you by the picnic tables, while talking to hope, noah and gary:

“This is their welcome party…”: invite the new guys over / wolf whistle at them / ignore their existence

🖤 lucas will invite you to chat at the roof terrace, and thank you for being so welcoming.

“lucas…”: you can try it on with me all you like / the date didn’t mean anything, I was just being nice / you’re totally welcome!

*if you choose the first one, he will reject it, and you’ll get frown faces.*

❝ best route for lucas ❞

🖤 rocco’s. starting off with him, on day 1, then proceeding to talk to him, in the afternoon of day three. to insure he’ll pick you, all you have to do is talk to someone that won’t ever pick you, like noah or gary. so talk to rocco first. all flattering options, then speak to noah or gary. bonus: if you ask gary about hannah, he’ll say he won’t pick her, that gives you extra points with her, when she comes back.

if you decide to put on the “bitchy facade” regarding rocco cheating, you might wanna try picking your name, in the “twitter bingo challenge”. why? if you say you’re “being a cow”, lucas will say something in the lines of “mad respect for that”. always good to have extra points with him.

🖤 to make sure he stays, when the girls need to vote on someone to leave. say you’re interested in henrik. ONLY HENRIK. that will assure lucas’ spot, and henrik will be dumped from the villa, along with rocco.

🖤 lucas will talk to you, at the roof terrace, saying “i know you probably wanted henrik to be here with you” and that’s a programmed path, but you can still pick him, your heart score with him is going through the roof at this point.

🖤 choose to share a bed with lucas, when rocco leaves, and you’ll have the cutest moments with him, at night, and in the morning. the conversation will be really good. in the afternoon, choose him for the date.

🖤 at the recoupling, he’ll be thrilled to be with you, and i STRONGLY advise you to pay for the hideaway scene. the next day as well. it’s exciting and lucas is HOT!

❝ operation nope ❞

if you go for it, lucas will break up with you. and then noah will pick you at the disaster recoupling, leaving lucas to pick priya. upside: he’s not the one to bring blake and this way, you don’t necessarily care about blake, at all.

if you don’t, then he’ll pick you at disaster recoupling, but he will bring blake back, after casa amor. conversation at the roof terrace is standard for the three of them, but you can be as mad as you want! it’s awesome and it adds flavor!

when saving him, the next day, you have options to explain why you’re doing it. my favorite is calling him a friend. because the next morning, you can tease him awake, and he’ll pull back and call you “buddy”, in the most sarcastic way.  i love it. but you do you. i’m just giving you an extra option here lol
