SLYTHERINSLUT0âS KINKTOBER
october 4th â virginity loss / corruption kink.

PART ONE | kinktober masterlist. | 2024.
pairing: mattheo riddle x berkshires!sister
summary: mattheoâs conscience can only hold him back for so long.
warnings: 18+, hogwarts uni (putting this even tho itâs obvious), jealous mattheo, flirting, tension tension tension, âwe canât do thisâ type of vibe, âyour brother is right over thereâ type of vibe. bestfriends lil sister trope. part one of two.
Moralityâwhat is it, really? How is it measured? Is it a linear scale? Could someone be morally sound yet sometimes make an exception when the situation called for it?
Perhaps it's subjective. Anything that falls outside of the law, that is.
Mattheo forced a breath from his lungs, the drink in his hand was tasteless, some watered-down excuse for a cocktail. But that didn't matter, not reallyâwhat mattered was the way you kept laughing, the way your hand lingered a second too long on that random bastard's sleeve. The sight made something concerning coil tight in his chest, but he stayed where he was, back against the wall, sucking down drinks like he'd been tasked to it.
God, this was stupid. Morality. Right and wrong. He knew the difference, of course he did. Just because he was a Riddle didn't make him a monster. Not yet, anyway. But that line, the one between you and himâthe one drawn so clearly in the sandâwas practically mocking him with its absolutes and daring him to cross it. Forbidden, off-limits, the one thing he shouldn't want.
His best friend's little sister. The good girl. A virgin, no less.
"Riddleâyou coming?"
Mattheo's head jerked slightly, but his mind was miles away.
He waved a hand. "I'll catch up in a bit.â
Malfoy and Zabini nodded, slipping into the night, leaving him behind in the dim, crowded ballroom. Spring dance. Hours past dusk. He didn't even know why he was still there. Normally, he was long gone before the clock struck twelve, but tonight the room pulsed with bodies and the music hummed under his skin. His drink was half-forgotten in his hand, and his gaze was fixed on a group across the room.
Or, more specifically, on you.
You were standing, black dress to your mid-thighs, half-listening to boys from your year drone on about quidditch tryouts and the usual chatter that filled the space between your breaths. But your eyesâyour eyes weren't on them. You were looking at him. A soft smirk tugging at the corners of your lips, like you knew something he didn't.
His heart kicked against his ribs. Where was that line again?
You winked, and he sipped his drink. He'd always said bad decisions made good storiesâbut even if this (unnameable thing between you) was a story worth telling, the people to hear it would be few.
The tension grew suffocating and he finally looked away. You took that as a win, but you weren't about to let the game end thereânot after you noted the tense of his fingers around his cup. You excused yourself from the group, your body moving through the crowd like water, fluid and unhurried, weaving your way toward him.
You knew the line well, the one Mattheo pretended so hard to respect. Restraint wasn't his natureâit never had been, not in the decade you'd watched him take whatever he wanted without a second thought. He wasn't made for holding back, and it showed every now and thenâevery time his lips crashed against yours in some hidden corner, whispering confessions of how badly he wanted more, how he ached for what he couldn't have.
You loved pushing him to that point. You loved knowing how bad he wanted you. Your brother would lose his mind if he found out. But that didn't matter, not even a little. Not when Mattheo looked at you like that.
"Having fun?" He asked upon your approach, his voice a shade too flat.
"A little." You leaned against the wall beside him, close enough that he could feel the warmth of your skin, your presence seeping into the space between you. "What about you? You seem a bit...tense."
"Tense." The word came out bland, barely audible, and he took a slow sip of his drink, like he needed it just to find his voice. "Why would I be tense?"
You wet your lips, slow, deliberate, studying him with that sidelong glance that made his pulse skip. His jaw tightened, and his eyesâthose beautiful, dangerous brown eyesâscanned the room with something too close to desperation.
"Good question." You tilted your head, gaze playful, curious, like you were dissecting him right there in the half-light. "Maybe it's because you've been watching me like a hawk. Like you're waiting for me to do something...wrong."
"Maybe I'm just looking out for you," he muttered, his gaze sliding to your brother across the room, lips locked with some brunette. Mattheo's eyes flickered back to you, just for a moment. "Your brother's a little...busy, after all."
You raised an eyebrow, the corner of your mouth curving into an amused, almost wicked smile. "Ah, so that's it. You're just being my big, overprotective babysitter."
"I don't need to babysit you," he grumbled, though his gaze betrayed him, darting over to the group of boys you'd been talking to. "Just keeping an eye on the company you keep."
It was almost amusingâthe way Mattheo stood there, sizing up your guy friends like they were targets in a lineup, probably mentally noting who he'd hit first if any of them dared to step out of line. He was different tonightâand you could have brushed it off, could have let that flicker of vulnerability slide, but that wasn't how this game was played. Not with him. Not with you. There was no room for naivety here.
You turned to face him now, full-on, shoulder resting against the wall as you raised a hand, fingers brushing lightly up his arm.
"Keeping an eye," you repeated as you traced the hard line of his shoulder, then down, lower, over his chest. "Ever my hero, Mattheo Riddle."
When your fingers grazed his abdomen, his breath caught and he grabbed your wristâhardâthe suddenness of it making you gasp. Then, he turned to face you, and his gaze finally met yoursâreally met yoursâfor the first time since you'd crossed the room.
"Don't." His voice was low, strained, like he was fighting himself as much as you.
Your eyes widened in mock surprise, that innocent look you'd perfected like a sport. You wore it like a halo you knew you didn't deserve.
"Don't...what?" You damn-well knew what.
His grip tightened, just enough for you to feel the heat of it, pulling you closer, so close you could feel the tension radiating off him. He wet his lips, and you meltedâremembering how it felt to kiss them.
"Don't play games with me." He said. "Not tonight."
The warning was clear, but instead of pulling awayâheeding his words and letting that heat simmer downâyou leaned closer, defying every unspoken rule. The thrill shot up your spine, into your brain, turning everything hazy, electric. You were drunk on it.
"Why not?" Your free hand traced up his other arm and his gaze followed the movement, lips parting ever so slightly. "...afraid you'll lose?"
Before you knew what was happening, he had you spun aroundâso fast you barely registered the movement before your back hit the cold stone wall. His drink found the table beside him, his focus entirely on you.
"Don't to this to me. Not here," he whispered. "Your brother is right over there."
You glanced toward Enzo, still too preoccupied with the brunette to notice a thing.
"He's a little distracted, don't you think?" Your fingers on your free hand resumed their path, this time up toward his collarbone. But his other hand found them, too. You looked down. Two large hands, wrapped tight around your wrists, like he could stop the fire running through your veins if he just held on hard enough. Your thighs shook. "Gods, you really are tense tonight, aren't you?"
Mattheo's eyes narrowed, two embers gleaming in the nightâ his lips twitching in a way that made your pulse stutter. There was need in him now, a raw, visceral energy that vibrated between you. Untethered.
He leaned in, closer, his breath brushing against your skin. "You're impossible."
"Impossible..." you echoed, the space between you shrinking with every second. There was no choice in it. It was magnetic, inevitable. He leaned closer, and youâagainst all reasonâmatched him, drawn by a force you couldn't name. "Impossible to...resist, Matty?"
Your lips were so close, you could almost taste the flavours lingering on his breath. The heat of him drew you in like gravity, pulling you into that dangerous space where everything blurredâboundaries, rules, reason. His eyes flickered down to your mouth, his tongue darting out to wet his lips in a way that felt instinctiveâ
And then, the world snapped back.
Cheeringâloud, raucousâfollowed by the sharp crack of glass splintering against the floor. It cut through the moment, pulling you both back to reality. Mattheo's gaze jerked toward the sound, and in an instant he took a step back, his hands releasing your wrists like you'd burned himâlike you were the danger here, a fire he'd gotten too close to.
"We can't," he whispered, and it sliced through you. It hit harder than the crash of glass, harder than the noise around you. "You don't want this. I promise you don't."
You stared at him. You knew what he meant, what he was trying to say, the warning etched in every tense line of his body. The two of you had been over this before. You knew Mattheo Riddle was not the man who would love you, not the man who would stay, who you'd call your forever. You weren't that naive. You weren't looking for foreverâyou just wanted a beginning. A first. A first that would teach you the edge of desire, with someone who knew what to do.
Someone experienced.
"I do," you whispered, barely holding steady under the weight of it allâthe realization that you'd almost kissed him, right here, where anyone could've seen, where your brother wasn't far. "More than anything, I do."
His jaw clenched, that flicker in his eyes darkening. He ran a hand through his hair, curls falling messily back into place, his face twisted in thought, already calculating the fallout, already seeing the inevitable consequences.
"Your brother will kill me," he muttered. "He'll kill you."
"Heâs not my dad, Mattheo. Iâm an adult. He doesn't have to know." The words came out firm, too firm for how fast your heart was beating. You didn't dare move closer, but the tension between you was still electric, still alive. "No one except us."
For a heartbeat, his eyes locked onto yours, and you felt itâthat gravity pulling you both back to the brink. It was visibleâthe weight of his indecision, the way he was measuring the risk, the pull of you against the walls he was trying to keep intact. It'd been months of this. You were relentless. His scowl deepened, but he didn't pull away. He let the silence stretch, your words simmering between you like a match lit, waiting to catch fire.
And then, a nod.
Barely there, just a sharp dip of his head, almost as if he didn't want to acknowledge it himself. You couldn't tell if it was for you, or some silent permission he was giving himself, a final surrender to the pull that neither of you could fight.
"Room of Requirement," he said, vibrating with the tension that still hummed in the air. "Ten minutes."
Your stomach leapt into your throat, every bone in your body suddenly weak. After a moment that felt as though it went on forever, you nodded, and he took another step back.
"Ten minutes." You repeated.
"Ten minutes." He confirmed, before turning and heading out of the ballroom.

Origin Stories
summary: baby first year matty arrives at hogwarts and the first person he interacts with seems to not know him at all. matty is unsure how to feel when someone treats him like just another person instead of the dark lords son
warnings: fluff, little bit o angst, sad baby matty
an: something my hubby @musingsofahufflepuff and i have been yapping about constantly, there's more where this came from, and yes...it will continue to hurt you
Knees pulled to his chest, he sat at the window watching all the happy and excited parents dropping their children off for their first time at Hogwarts. It was Mattheoâs first time too, but instead of parents dropping him off he had Feindre, his house elf.
Feindre had gotten him there early enough for Mattheo to be one of the first students on the train and stayed long enough for Mattheo to see Feindre give a gentle wave before snapping his fingers and disappearing from the platform.
Thatâs what heâd been doing for the last half hour; watching family after family give loving hugs and cheek kisses and bidding their children farewell. Even Mr. Nott had come with his wife to see Theo off, giving a firm squeeze to the skinny boy's shoulder and a curt nod.Â
The whistle blew overhead and Mattheo leaned his head back, closing his eyes and willing himself to think of at least one positive thing that may come for him this year. Heâd be away from his mother; that was a plus. As far as Mattheo was aware even she couldnât get onto the grounds without the proper permissions; that gave Mattheo at least four months free from torture.
As the train started to pull from the station he heard the train car door slide open, an entirely too excited voice suddenly speaking to him, âDâyou mind? Every other car has four or so kids in it.â Mattheo shrugged his shoulders, not even opening his eyes to look.
He knew he didnât recognize the voice. His cousin Dracoâs was a little higher pitched, whiney. Theoâs was slower, like he had to think about each word before he said it. This voice was more neutral, but seemed to be speaking quickly, like they had so many thoughts and feelings they couldnât get them out quick enough.Â
âSâkinda weird we had to walk through a wall to get on the platform, right? Magic is so cool.â Mattheo peered an eye open, chancing a glance at the person across from him. It seemed as if you were vibrating, sitting cross legged on the seat across from him, hands braced on either side as your knees held a steady bounce.
Your smile was nearly splitting your face; Mattheo couldnât decide if your question was indicative of a muggle upbringing or just the first born for your family. âSo what house do you want to get into? I was doing some light reading in one of our textbooks, Hogwarts: A History, and I think any of them will be good.âÂ
Definitely muggle, Mattheo thought to himself as you kept talking, âI know that Hufflepuffs are very loyal, Ravenclaws are super smart I guess, Slytherins apparently are really clever and I read that Gryffindors are supposed to be just the bravest.â The scoff leaves Mattheos throat quicker than he could control.
âWell do you think differently? I know I can talk a lot but Iâm also a good listener.â Mattheo lifted his head up at this, now choosing to stare at you with a quirked brow. You continued to press regardless, âWhat house do you think youâll be in?â Mattheo stared out the window once more, watching the highland mountains pass by, âI already know my house.â This statement piqued your interest, âWhat do you think it is?â
Mattheo used all his mental energy not to roll his eyes, âIâll be a Slytherin, my family has only ever been Slytherins.â You seemed to sit up straighter then, your tone getting more excited, if that was even possible, âSo youâre from a family of wizards then? Thatâs so cool, whatâs it like?â
He stared at you incredulously, âYou being serious?â You simply tilted your head, smile never leaving your face, âBoth of my parents are normal, erm, non-wizards? I donât know what you guys call them but thatâs what they are.âÂ
Mattheo wore an unimpressed look, âShockerâŚnever would have guessed by your raging enthusiasm.â You laughed softly, âI know, right. Mum cried for like an hour when I got my letter.â Mattheo sat up straighter then, eyes widening. He could feel his heart rate pick up slightly, a tinge of sweat beading on the back of his neck, âWhy, because she was disappointed, was she mad? Where did you hide after she stopped crying?â
You looked at him with confusion, shaking your head and a small bit of concern in your tone, âWhat? No, because she was just so happy for meâŚâ Mattheo shrank into himself, pulling his knees back up to his chest, âRight, yeah, aâcourse.âÂ
You fiddled with the hem of your sleeve, âSo, ehm, do you know people who are coming to Hogwarts then? I donât know anyoneâŚwell, except you now. What, erm, what was your name again?â Mattheo visibly stiffened. You could just be being polite, asking for his name like he was just any other student. Or his reputation precedes him even with muggle-born first years and youâre just too scared to tell him that you already know about him, his father, what heâs done. âMattheoâŚerm, Riddle.â You nodded, âCool name! Iâm y/n y/l/n.â
Mattheo canât help the quizzical look that takes over him at how breezily you move on and introduce yourself. How can you not be afraid of him, of his name. Not that he wants you to be, but if youâve been reading as much as you say, surely youâve heard of what his father has done.Â
But all of it seems nonexistent as you start talking again, âDo you think weâll have to wear those little cone hats Iâve seen in the textbook? Theyâre not very fashionable are they? And Iâm sure you wouldnât want to wear one either.â Mattheo took the bait, âWhy would you think I wouldnât want to wear one?â
You shrugged, smiling a little shyer than before, âWell because of your hair. If I had curls as pretty as yours I wouldnât want to have to cover them up all the time.â The heat on Mattheoâs cheeks was nearly instantaneous, then he started to feel a bit of rage, âAre you making fun of me?â
You shook your head fiercely, âOh no, no way! I figured you got complimented on your hair all the time.â Compliment? You were complimenting him. Why would you do that? What were you playing at? Mattheo was fighting an internal battle, not understanding why you were being so nice to him and trying desperately to understand the new feeling fluttering in his chest at your compliment.Â
Thankfully the door to the train car opens and a jolly looking woman displays a trolly full of sweets and snacks in the doorway; the perfect distraction.
âAnything from the trolly, dears?â Youâre excited once more, leaving your seat to get a closer look at the sweets. You turn towards Mattheo, âWhatâs your favorite candy? Iâve never heard of any of these beforeâŚchocolate frogs, cauldron cakes, fizzing whizzbees-âÂ
âThe last oneâs good I- erm, I think youâd like those,â Mattheo watched as you asked the trolly witch for one pack of cauldron cakes and two fizzing whizzbees. âThatâll be two galleons and a sickle, dear,â the trolly witch smiled kindly at you.
You pulled a handful of wizard coins from your pocket looking slightly confused. Mattheo cleared his throat, âTwo gold ones and a silver one.â You nodded, taking the coins he described and exchanging them for your sweets. Sitting back down across from him you began opening your cauldron cakes.
You placed one on top of one of the fizzing whizzbees pack and then held it in front of you towards Mattheo. âWhatâre you doing?â he asked, finding your behavior rather odd, even for a muggle. You only smiled in return, âThis is your half silly.âÂ
Mattheo hesitantly took the sweets, âWhy would you share with me?â You sat back, taking a bite of the cauldron cake and humming in satisfaction, âWhy wouldnât I share with you?â you spoke around a cheek full of cake, âThese are really good by the way.â
Mattheo felt a weird pang in his chest, something he didnât recognize. It was almost like an adrenaline rush but he wasnât in danger this time; his skin felt hot all of a sudden, his blood rushing to his ears. He pulled subtly on his curls on the side of his head, not sure exactly what he was trying to cover up. You didnât take notice regardless, too engrossed in the foreign treat of your new world.Â
The next few hours are filled with you making conversation, mostly one sided but you donât even seem to notice. Youâre the most at ease person Mattheo has ever met, finding interest in the smallest of things.
You talk about your family, and you do so with so much admiration and what Mattheo can only assume is love that he finds himself starting to get jealous. He does his best to shove that feeling down, like he does with most feelings. Youâre the first person in his life that doesnât seem to know him, his family, what that entails and heâd be damned if he let something like jealousy mess that up.
You try to ask him about his life, but heâs keeping it brief, somewhat deflective. He tells you that his father is not around, not dead butâŚworking. He doesnât know a good way to explain that his father has bits of his soul everywhere and your lack of knowledge on magical existence seems like that bit of information would cause your already highly wired brain to short circuit.
When you ask about his mum he stiffens involuntarily, âSheâs, erm, passionate about me following in my fatherâs footsteps. Bit of an anger problem sometimes if I disagree about it.â You nod, a small frown on your face but seemingly understanding to not push the subject of his mothers anger further, âWhatâs your dad do?â
Mattheoâs eyes go wide, panic starting to spread through his body. He can feel himself starting to sweat as he looks out the window, trying to come up with an answer thatâs not the truth when he sees his saving grace, âLook, Hogwarts.âÂ
If youâd had turned your head any faster Mattheo was sure it would have rolled off your shoulders and onto the car floor. Whatever he had anticipated Hogwarts to look like, his imagination could never have done it justice; and Mattheo hid in his imagination often at home.
Your nose was nearly pressed to the window, âWicked.â Mattheo felt the corners of his mouth pull into a smile, half wishing the two of you never had to leave the train and could just stay here, in this bubble where you donât know the horrible truths that come with being associated with him.Â
As the train slowed to a stop, a whistle blew and the two of you noticed a flurry of students starting to clog the aisle between cars. âGuess thatâs our cue,â you stood up, looking towards Mattheo and waiting for him to do the same. âYou coming?â you opened the car door, looking back at him. âErm, yeah. Yeah okay,â Mattheo pulled the hood of his cloak up and you gave him a curious look.
âHeard itâs supposed to be a bit chilly on the ride up to the castle,â he shoved his hands in his pockets, now staring down at the floor. You shrugged it off, only turning to join the plethora of students once you knew Mattheo was following behind.Â
You couldnât help but marvel at the giant man that led the pack of first years to what looked like ancient wooden boats. You looked everywhere you could, trying to drink in the whole experience; whereas Mattheo kept his head down, hood up and eyes on the bottom of the boat. If he did this long enough, maybe no one but you would know who he was until he was being sorted.
Once docked by the castle the pack of you were led through the castle by an older, stern looking witch. She had introduced herself as Professor McGonagall. As she led you through the castle you kept tugging on Mattheoâs sleeve. Every so often he would peek from the side of his hood and give you a half smile.Â
Once in front of what you learned to be the Great Hall, McGonagall stopped all of you, giving a quick speech. âOnce inside you will all be sorted into your houses. Once your house has been announced please make your way to your house table. Banners above will lead you to the correct one. During each breakfast and lunch you will be able to mingle with other houses. However, dinners are strictly restricted to your own house tables.â You turned to Mattheo, whispering, âThis is so exciting!â Mattheo gives an undignified hum with a small nod as the doors to the great all open, he can feel his heart rate quicken as all the older students turn to watch the group of first years file in. Will people notice him? Can he hear them whispering his name?Â
His automatic negative thoughts are interrupted by you gripping his arm lightly. Immediately he flinches away and you begin apologizing, âOh, Iâm sorry Matty, I didnât mean to scare you.â Mattheo shook his head, hoping his cheeks weren't flushing at the nickname you decided to don on him, âN-no, sorry. Sâjust I- erm, have this thing about people grabbing meâŚsorry.â
You shake your head as if to dismiss his apology as unnecessary, âSâmy fault, I just get so excited. Look up there, itâs the sorting hat, I read about it in the same textbook as the houses; thatâs whatâs gonna tell us where we go.âÂ
Mattheo could feel his stomach knotting. He knew he would be sorted into Slytherin; the blood in his veins guaranteed it. But, Merlin, did he hope you were sorted there too. It would be nice to have an actual friend there with him, not just his irritating cousin and the sons of his fatherâs loyal followers.
He was pretty sure they were only nice to him out of fear. Did you want to get sorted with him too? Did you consider him a friend? You were already far too nice to him; far too nice for your own good he thought. Thereâs no way you actually got sorted into Slytherin; itâd be a bloody miracle.Â
Too lost in his worries spinning over and over in his head he seemed to have missed everyone before him getting sorted, being pulled from his thoughts for the second time that evening by Professor McGonagalls booming voice speaking his name, âMattheo Riddle.â
A hushed whisper seemed to fall over all of the students and even some of the professors at the head table. Mattheo gave you a worried glance, but you only smiled encouragingly back at him. Either you didnât notice the whispers, or you didnât care; Mattheo wasnât sure which option had him feeling that same weird pang in his chest that he felt on the train.Â
He neednât push his way through the crowd of first years as they seemed to part willingly for him. He slowly climbed his way up the steps and pulled himself up onto the stool, legs dangling in front of him. The professor placed the sorting hat atop his head.
It felt two sizes too big, falling down and covering his eyes, now encasing him in darkness. It was actually much better this way, Mattheo would rather pass than watch the judgment in everyoneâs eyes, especially if they came from yours. âHmm, Riddle, eh?â the hat spoke loudly, much to Mattheoâs dismay, âWell thereâs simply no question then is there. Why of course it'sâŚSLYTHERIN!âÂ
The slytherin table broke out into cheers, but they seemed to be the only students to do so apart from your clapping in the first year crowd. The hat was pulled from Mattheoâs head and he searched for your face. He found you beaming, giving him a double thumbs up as he made his way down the steps and toward his house table.
He clocked his cousin Draco immediately, platinum hair sticking out like a traffic cone. His cousin tried to greet him, along with the others at the table. But Mattheo ignored them all, turning instead to face the stool you would soon be sitting at and be told your fate.Â
When your name was finally called Mattheo sat up straighter, nearly leaning forward as if that would help him hear more clearly. As you made your way onto the stool you looked over at the Slytherin table. Making eye contact with Mattheo you gave a quick wave. Warmth spread throughout his body and he found himself giving a small wave back.
The whining pitch of Dracoâs voice appeared on Mattheoâs right, âWho is that, cousin?â Mattheo watched as you took a deep breath in as the hat was placed on your head, full of pride he made the statement, âThatâs my friend.â Draco was obviously confused, âI didnât know you had any friends besides us.â
Mattheo turned his sights away from you briefly to stare Draco in the eyes, âYouâre not my friend. Youâre my cousin, Iâm forced to be around you. And if you keep talking Iâll hex out your tongue so I never have to hear your annoying voice again.â Draco held his hands up in defense, scooting over slightly on the bench.Â
Turning back to you Mattheo watched as your legs bounced excitedly, just as they did on the train and Mattheo found himself smiling. This smile slowly dropped as the hat began to narrate the internal battle you seemed to be having with it.
âYou want to be Slytherin, is that so? MmmâŚcurious, curious indeed. I do sense a bit of cunning, but your loyalty is much stronger. Better beâŚHUFFLEPUFF!â The tables throughout the hall cheered for you as they did every other student being sorted. Your smile never faded but Mattheo felt like his whole world was collapsing.Â
There was a pain in his side that felt like someone was hexing him with a stinging jinx and his breaths were becoming more shallow. Usually he only felt like this when being punished by his mother, but in that case she was likely actually cursing him.
It seemed like the massive walls of the great hall were closing in on him as he saw you being greeted by the students at your house table. Everything from the last few hours was going to be thrown away in an instant. They would all tell you who he was, what he was, why you should hate him. And surely youâll believe them, wonât you? Then heâll be alone once more.
As if to twist the knife that was already being pushed between his ribs, Dracoâs irritating voice was coming from next to him again, âWell cousin, guess theyâre not your friend any longer.â

His mates of course were confused until he told them that you ARE his little sister. Lorenzo havenât told his friends that he had a sister. Heâs been so busy doing his own work and OWLS.
Honestly spoils you and helps your studies
Heâs a good big brother who makes sure you have everything
Definitely irons your clothes

The hanging fear

This is for week 4 of the Jinxedjuly Challenge by @finalgirllx & @thatdammchickennugget, using the prompt festival. This one still goofy with hints of angst, of Mattheo having to come up with a thrill riding way to get through to the readers stubbornness. This is heavily inspired and uses a little bit of the notebook quotes. Words: 2.3k Warnings: fem implied reader I think, swearing, kissing, mentions of Voldemort - not really too many
An: ty to my babies @suugarbabe & @slytherinslut0 This is technically inaccurately aged wise set, as it's at the end of fifth year, with the re-return of Voldemort, so just for the sake of the fic the characters are aged up. Also I know Protego is a blocking charm but for this I just used something different. Pretty divider found here.
The Summer Carnival Event, hosted every year with the conversion of the Quidditch pitch, was running smoothly, with happy laughter of relaxed students' post exams swarming the field. As usual, the Hogwarts staff had gone full out, conjuring up all sorts of exciting and thrilling fair activities.
Even the teachers leisurely strolled around the grounds. With the absence of Umbridgeâs unexpected but not cared for disappearance, and Dumbledoreâs vindication and reinstatement as headmaster, Hogwarts once again remained a happier place.Â
Though there remains a terror lingering in the air at the reappearance of He who must not be named. With the revelation of Cornelious Fudge's falsity towards Harry Potterâs earlier declaration that Voldemort was indeed back, the wizarding world was forced to accept the reality of the situation.
These new implications therefore shift back onto Mattheo with the reappearance of his father, leaving him on edge with a bitter taste. The combination of increased fear and distasteful looks shot his way and how stubborn you were being at a time like this irked him deeply.Â
It wasnât unusual for Mattheo to be met with a cold shoulder when you were pissed at him - the level of determination youâd stoop to when holding a grudge always left him feeling slightly irritated but with small hints of pride. Heâd never met someone so pertinacious, an admirable quality to have, one that he undoubtedly loved about you, but also something that he often overlooked until he realized you were unwilling to budge on business until the culprit came begging with an apology.Â
Mattheo normally had an easy time weaseling his way back into your heart, softening your anger into forgiveness. The perks of being your boyfriend and knowing you could never shut him out for longer than a day. But at the 24 hour mark, Mattheo found himself still suffering from the lack of your warm embrace and he was presented with unbearable news of your refusal to come stay with him over the summer, if she was there.Â
Dracoâs extended invitation to an ex-fling of his hadnât impacted Mattheos list of worries with his mind occupied, clouded with thoughts of his future. She to him wasnât noted as anything worthy - a girl in Mattheoâs defence he had no affiliation with since laying eyes on you, his focus never once shifting from you like a sniper engaged in action.
He hadnât understood in the way you wished, rubbing it off as a mere inconvenience and something you needed not to worry about. His fixation with you and the storm brewing had inadvertently left him underestimating the new presence over the summer and how it would affect your attitude.Â
His patience was running thin and with the last day of term coming to a close, the persistent degree of your stubbornness was starting to make him question if youâd ever forgive him before the end. For he was sure now you were doing this out of spite and perhaps a bit of jealousy, but there was a dreadful feeling of fear creeping in amongst his nerves, reminding him he may not get to see you all summer if he didnât fix this soon.
With the resurgence of his father, Mattheo knew it was only a matter of time before his followers sought to recruit him. He was willing to do literally anything to spend his last moments of freedom by your side, before heâd be forced to distance himself for your own safety. Selfishly, he knew it was wrong to continue keeping you in his life with the foreseeable future, but heâd face that argument when it came to that - one he knew wouldnât go down easily with you.Â
Your doom impending announcement had lingered in his head all afternoon while he searched the Quidditch field for you - someone who didnât shy away from crowds had suddenly become a master at hide and seek. A very unnecessary and time-wasting game, he may have enjoyed at another time had he not been so desperately determined to speak with you.Â
His shoulders drop in alleviation when at last he spots you grouped around the line to the Ferris Wheel, steering over in that direction, trudging forwards with motive and precision. The glowing smile you wear drops in your notice of him, replaced with a tense gaze, your brows raising, testing him in his approach. He withholds his sly smirk, finding your defiant nature extremely sexy, and pushes forwards anyway.Â
His continued persistence, while admirable only makes your gaze narrow with a sharpened bitterness, before flashing him a sarcastic smile and flipping him off, moving with your mate to stand in the line. Yes, you were being slightly petty and overdramatic in your silent treatment, but the jealousy that coursed in your veins didnât allow you to lay off him, yet.Â
You could acknowledge that Mattheo didnât choose himself to invite his ex-fling, and if he had any sort of power over his aunt Cissy's decisions, youâre certain she wouldnât be attending. But you canât help but feel frustrated given that Mattheo completely brushed you off when you told him this upset you, when heâd merely responded to your concerns with âitâs not a big dealâ. Â
He cocks an amused brow at the rude hand signal, an obvious sign you were going to continue to be difficult and he would need to change tactics in his last resort. Pushing forwards amongst the pairs of people, he shoves the next in line aside, muttering a bitter âgo fuck yourselfâ at their protest. He jumps onto the seat ahead of you and your friend, shooting you a cheeky grin in response to your eye roll at his immaturity.Â
The ascension of the ride, rotating perfectly, allows a picturesque view of the castle highlighted against the collusion of orange and pink rays painting the sky. It catches your full attention, forgetting all about Mattheo sitting in front, until the sounds of twisting metal and a startled scream from your friend, seizes it. Turning in anticipation, your eyes widen, not expecting to see Mattheo clambering over from his seat as he jumps, grabbing onto the steel poles in front of you.Â
Clamping a hand over your mouth in shock, you squeal in fright, âMattheo! What the hell are you doing?!â He casts you an impish grin at finally grabbing your attention, breaking your persistent silence.
âOh hey baby, glad weâre back on speaking terms.â A low chuckle leaves him taking in your bewildered look. His eyes drift, noticing the crowds of students forming below at the reckless act, a wave of startled noise of whispered chatter and anxiety stirs, and Mattheo catches Professor Mcgongall clutches her chest, muttering to herself.Â
âOh, dear heavens - Mr Riddle, what on earth are you doing?!â her shrill voice exclaims in worry. âStop the ride!â She instructs Madam Hooch, grabbing her wand out.Â
He calls out to her, âDonât worry, professor I'm perfectly fine. Just need my girl to forgive me.â He looks back up at you, tilting his head, feigning innocence. âSo, sweetheart, gonna do me the honors and pardon me?âÂ
Staring at him, the rush of shock simmering away, knowing a professor could save him at any moment, though your heart continues to beat anxiously. A hand grips yours as your friend stares at your boyfriend wildly at his insanity, but you just huff out a firm âNo.âÂ
âNo? Why not?â Even your friend turns her brows furrowing in confusion, her eyes widening at you like you're the insane one and she repeats his words too. âGirl yeah why not?!âÂ
âBecause I donât want to, I dont want her there.â Your tone stays firm while your gaze holds his defiantly. It's honestly impressive how well Mattheo puts up with your tight obstinacy, but you can't contain the rush of adrenaline flowing through you at his reckless actions to beg for your forgiveness. You always knew one day youâd have this man groveling for you - just didnât expect it to be when he was thirty feet off the ground.Â
Rolling his eyes at your continued stubbornness and jealousy. âSweetheart, you know I donât have a say in that. She won't even be there the whole time. Come on, I canât do the summer without you.â His eyes soften, pleading with a hint of vulnerability, his need to convince you in changing your mind becoming more urgent. He sighs when you cross your arms, looking away, ignoring his pleading. âOkay, you leave me no choice then.â He loosens his grip from the bar and drops one of his arms.Â
Instinctively a gasp escapes you, watching him hang by one arm as you lean forwards before you roll your eyes, not falling for his bluff. âMattheo cut it out, youâre not even in any danger. A professor will catch you.â You sit back, crossing your arms at his silly trick to try out you into forgiving him, knowing a professor would instantly cast Arresto Momentum slowing his fall.Â
He feigns seriousness in a way you canât detect. âNot if I cast obstructionum before I came up here. Only the performer can take that off.â He watches your face drop, and he adds in for added effect, âMerlin, my hands slipping.â
âThen grab the bar, you idiot!â You scream at him, starting to panic at the idea of him hurting himself or worse.Â
He shakes his head. âNot until you forgive me.âÂ
âOkay okay! Fine I forgive you, now grab the bar Matty.â
âSay it again.â He says with a hint of determination to make you repeat your words and accept his apology.Â
You look at him in frustration and worry, âI forgive you.âÂ
âSay it again!âÂ
âI forgive you!!â you scream.Â
He cracks a grin and grabs the bar with his other hand with an ease that shows he had the situation perfectly under control. âAlright, alright, no need to be so eager to submit sweetheart.â His smile widens at the glare you shoot him and he swings back down to the seat he sat in before, as the ride continues, the worry settling below.Â
He leans against the fence for you at the bottom, having dealt with the fussing from Mcgonall who eventually gave up with it being the last night of term. A wave of relief floods him at the reemergence of your embrace, heat engulfing him, making him feel whole once again. His arms tighten around your frame, leaning down to kiss the top of your head. âI missed you.âÂ
A grumbled âI miss you tooâ into his chest has him chuckling and you pull away at the vibrations, looking at him with softened but still irritated eyes at his stunt. Suddenly you wack him over the back of the head and he winces, ducking, âOh shit Jesus baby.âÂ
âWhat the hell were you thinking?!âÂ
He smiles sheepishly, wrapping an arm over your shoulder to leer you away privately. âSorry to scare you. I just needed to change your mind.â He stops walking near the stands, cupping your face with his large hands. âI need you. I canât bear the idea of being away from you for an entire summer.âÂ
There's a heavy weight pouring from his words as he speaks, anxiety, love and wanting all melding as one. He can see the way your eyes read his, taking in his genuine and vulnerable gaze, and his heart steadies at the sigh you release. The little nod you give him knocks the crushing weight off his chest, slowly dispersing.
âIâm sorry sheâs coming, but I promise weâll make the most of the summer, okay?â He leans down, capturing your lips with a passionate and heartfelt kiss. Heâs never been good with his emotions, but you can feel every single one pulsing through him as he holds you. A strong enforcer that makes you cling onto him tighter, your own sense of awareness that something is brewing.Â
âYou really have nothing to worry about sweetheart, youâre all I want. Need. Iâm all yours.â He says pulling back, his words laced with a deep sincerity, honesty and possessiveness as he reminds you that he won't be taken away. At least not by another woman. âI love you, Iâd do anyting for you - even risk my life.â He teases lighting the mood.Â
Laughing at his quip you respond, âHardly, I saw how easily you pulled back up.â
âOh yeah, you were checking out these fucking muscles.â He throws a cocky wink at you, bringing his arm up to flex, relishing in how you try to act unaffected.Â
You're unable not to roll your eyes playfully at his arrogance, glad the two of you are falling back into your usual whimsical manner. A guilty smile spreads as you finally apologise for your headstrong behaviour. âIâm sorry for being stubborn - I let the jealousy get to me." You admit with small hints of your own vulnerability slipping through. âI love you too. I know you're mine, as I am yours, baby. Iâd regret it if I didnât spend the summer with you.âÂ
His face lights up, bright as the sunset at your apology and confrimation, and he pulls you in for a another tight hug. âAh fuck thank merlin, never do that again you stubborn little brat.â While his words hold seriousness, his tone is light and shows no real signs of irritation anymore.Â
His gaze meets yours once again, and he whispers affectionately, âIâm glad to have you back in my arms, baby.â His lips find yours once more in a heated unravelling of passion, before trapping you in back in his heartwarming embrace.
You're starting to realize that perhaps all of this was about far more than just gaining your forgiveness, perhaps it was his way of telling you that in light of everything going on, his father's return and the impending dread of what might come, he needs you more than everâand he will go to any lengths possible to show you that. To ensure youâre always right here, by his side.Â

Little Dove
Dark! Mattheo Riddle x Reader
Summary:

TW: this part is mainly story building and there will be a few parts. (Iâm thinking 3ish?) Smut in next parts though ;)
A lantern flame illuminated your face as you shuffled between pages of old parchments.
Stuck behind a makeshift desk on a dingy ministry basement floor, the leaking of old pipes was the only thing keeping you company. You had applied to work as reporter for the Daily Prophet, always having a passion for writing, but yet you found yourself as an intern. Your job had you filing others articles, as you sat alone in a secluded office in the corner of hundreds of filing cabinets and bookshelves.
The sound of wings startle you from your work as an owl swoops between the lines of wooden shelves. Dropping a note on your desk and swooping back around the shelves out of site, leaving you alone yet again. Picking up the scribbled parchment you read it and almost jump with joy. The note from your boss giving you an excuse to escape your mildew prison.
Meet me in my office.
- R. Skeeter
You almost trip as you pull yourself out of your desk, not wanting to keep her waiting long. Smoothing your skirt and tucking back your frizzy hair with a scrunchie, you walk through the maze before you to the other side of the room. Before you the golden elevator Gate appears and you step in, taking the enchanted elevator up to Ritaâs private office. When you get to her door, you to move your knuckles up to the large wooden door but with a swift motion, you are pulled within.
âNo need dear, I knew you were here.â Her mewling voice chimed as she peered up from her green frames. Her bright blonde hair glittered in its pinned curls, accentuating the crimson lipstick she wore. Behind her, her magical quill was scribbling down your every move hastily, as to not miss a single movement you made. She smiles at you as she sets down her own papers and a chair appears with a quick flick of her wand, opposite from her.
âNow have a seat.â You sit down across from her at the chair she conjured, crossing your ankles to appear more mature.
âFrom what i remember you were a slytherin correct?â
âYes, most of family is, but we do have some Ravenclaws.â You confirm her statement.
âSo I expect youâre quite smart then too?â Rita says with a playful smile. And you sheepishly nod.
âSo you may remember Mattheo Riddle? Heâs about your age is he not?â You feel your face flush with colour at the mention of your Hogwarts upperclassman, who had been on the front page of the Prophet many times since his time in Hogwarts. The Son of the dark lord and his right hand man. A total opposite image of the older boy you had known at Hogwarts.
âWe kind of knew eachother, but he graduated before me and we didnât talk much.â
Rita gets up and walks over to a shelf picking up a journal and bringing it back over to the desk.
âOh dear, youâre perfect!â She almost squealed. âI just knew you would be the one for the job.â
âWhat job?â You shift in your seat, smoothing your skirt again.
âThereâs been rumours that lavish death eater parties have been happening, but I think there is more to that story. And obviously they wont let me in. Itâs all very hush-hush but you, my Dear, would be the perfect little messenger bird to send in! Itâs been the talk of the town for the last week and I MUST be the first person to get my hands on the details!â Rita slides the journal over to you and you open it, skimming through her pages of notes filed with gossip of these events. You can feel her excitement buzzing off of her body. She was like a teen gossiping about her crush with you, rather than your boss.
âItâs been so tight kept that not even a, letâs say a beetle, could get into them without being detected. I canât even polyjuice myself with the security spells they have! Thatâs why I need you! Slytherin family, fresh out of Hogwarts, and quite pretty! Itâs the perfect mix.â You put her journal down and look up at her as she rambled on. Her hands expressing her words as she paints you her picture.
âSo you want me to sneak into a couple parties and tell you whatâs happening? Thatâs it?â Rita stops and thinks for a moment, her emerald dress sparkling in the sunlight of her office.
âWell I am asking you to go into a Death Eater party where any of them could figure out what youâre up to. I mean there is a reason no one knows what happens there Darling.â She eased back into her chair, her red lips curling up again.
âAnd if I say yes, whatâs in it for me?â You cross your arms, waiting to hear out your options. On one hand it wouldnât be too hard of a task to complete. But on the other, what if you were caught by the Death Eaters. She ponders for a moment, before her eyes sparkle with an idea.
âIâll publish your work and you can become my own personal assistant.â You feel your jaw drop, failing to hide your temptation. If you were her personal assistant, you could get out of the dingy basement and write your own pieces. Without a second thought you reach your hand over to her and she takes it within her own.
âDeal.â You shake her hand and she jumps out of her seat again.
âPerfect. Letâs get you ready, you have lots to learn before the next one!â
-
If you had told yourself a month ago that you would be standing in front of the Riddle Manor, you would have checked yourself into St. Mungos immediately. The black dress that had been delivered to your office earlier that morning had somehow hugged you like it had been sewn on your body. An alteration done by Rita, no doubt. But what it had in beauty it lacked in concealing your shivers as the menacing estate welcomed you into its jaws.
On the arm of a man from the ministry, you head towards the doors with the rest of the crowd, fleeing from the cold night. He was your ticket in, a pure blood with family ties to the Dark Lord, earning himself entry. All it took was a little wing manning from Rita and he was wrapped around your finger.
Inside the decor was lavish and dark, creating a powerful ambiance around each of the death eaters and their company. Your family was not pure blood, and had never followed the dark lord like other wizarding familyâs so this type of glamour made you feel like a fraud. Stuck on your dates arm, you did your best to note down everything, knowing Rita would want every detail.
As per your plan, he introduced you to others and you played up being his ditzy date.
As the night progressed you noticed high ranked Death Eaters slip away into the halls of the manor. You knew they were up to whatever Rita thought they were and knew this was your ticket to getting you big scoop. Your date had long over drank and was sitting amongst his old school friends. You sat off to the side, with the other girls who had no interest in their dates drunken states. You spot another Death eater slipping out and you decide to follow them out, telling your date you were going for some fresh air.
You watch as the man saunters down the hall, not even bothering to check behind them. When they turn the corner, you pull out your enchanted note pad and start mentally taking notes as you scurry down the hall to follow him. Your note pad starts filling up pages with the scribbles of your thoughts as you note everything you saw in the ballroom.
You follow him down a few hallways and he slips around another hallway, as you go deeper in the Labyrinth of the Manor. However as you round the corner, you are met with a dead end. A hallway where the doors had no light peeking through and no sign that anyone had been down there at all. You walk to the end, where the wall stopped your tracks and tried to inspect for any hidden doors. Anything that might lead you to find where he went and what he was doing.
As you take a step back defeated, you could feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. You softly whisper the spell to hid your notepad and you feel someoneâs hand slink its way around your waist. Startling you but stopping you from turning to see who had made contact with you.
âWho let you in here, darling.â A cold hand covers your mouth, pulling your back against his body with both hands. A muffled shout escapes your lips as you try to pull yourself away. You could feel his body language shift as he grips you tighter.
âSeems like a little birdy got out of her cage.â You could feel his hot breath against your ear. You were a mouse caught in a trap as his arms pulled you into on of the unoccupied rooms you had just passed.
As you are dragged into the room, his hand leaves your face. Turning you and pushing you against the door, your eyes make contact with Mattheoâs hardened features. This was not the boy you remembered, but a grown up and dangerous man.
âHello little dove.â

A/N: sorry for the mini hiatus with my fics (didnât stop me whining on my blog though haha) my life literally went to pieces with midterms, being sick and breaking up with my BF. Anyways I havenât started on part 2 yet but Iâll definitely start that soon. As for my Theo fic, Iâm stuck with the smut so thatâs awkward lol.

I've been playing around with Incorrect Quote Generator [Link] with Y/N x Slytherin Boys squad and here are some iconic ones:
Part 2 â Part 3 â Part 4 â Part 5 â Part 6
Draco: God has let me live another day and I'm going to make it everyone's problem.
âââ
Draco: We wouldnât last two minutes
without Y/N.
Draco:
Draco: Donât tell them I said that.
âââ
Lorenzo: Would you slap Mattheo-
Y/N: Yes.
Lorenzo: I didn't even finish!
Y/N: Sorry, continue.
Lorenzo: Would you slap Mattheo for 10 dollars?
Y/N: I would do it for free.
Mattheo: Rude...
âââ
Theodore: When I met you I thought you were a real bitch.
Mattheo: What changed your mind?
Theodore: Oh, I still think youâre a bitch, Iâve just grown to like that about you.
âââ
Y/N: I left instructions for everyone while I'm gone.
Draco: Mine just says "Draco no."
Y/N: I want you to apply it to every possible situation.
âââ
Draco, being robbed: Please! Have mercy! I have a family! A wife and kids⌠a dogâŚ
Mattheo: Literally none of that is true, Draco.
Draco: Okay, but Iâm sexy! Thatâs gotta count for something, right?
âââ
Mattheo: Iâve done a lot of dumb stuff.
Theodore: I witnessed the dumb stuff.
Draco: I recorded the dumb stuff.
Lorenzo: I joined you in the dumb stuff.
Y/N: I TRIED TO STOP YOU FROM DOING THE DUMB STUFF!
âââ
Mattheo: *About to do something incredibly stupid*
Theodore: I know I can't stop you, but I won't let you go by yourself.
âââ
Mattheo: You treat an outside wound with rubbing alcohol. You treat an inside wound with drinking alcohol.
âââ
*Everyone is standing around the broken coffee maker*
Blaise: So. Who broke it? I'm not mad, I just wanna know.
Everyone:
Y/N: ...I did. I broke it.
Blaise: No. No you didn't. Mattheo?
Mattheo: Don't look at me. Look at Lorenzo.
Lorenzo: What?! I didn't break it.
Mattheo: Huh, that's weird. How'd you even know it was broken?
Lorenzo: Because it's sitting right in front of us and it's broken.
Mattheo: Suspicious.
Lorenzo: No, it's not!
Theodore: If it matters, probably not, but Draco was the last one to use it.
Draco: Liar! I don't even drink that crap!
Theodore: Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?
Draco: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Theodore!
Y/N: Okay let's not fight. I broke it. Let me pay for it, Blaise.
Blaise: No! Who broke it!?
Everyone:
Lorenzo: Blaise... Pansy's been awfully quiet.
Pansy: rEALLY?!
*Everyone starts arguing*
Blaise, being interviewed: I broke it. I burned my hand so I punched it.
Blaise: I predict 10 minutes from now they'll be at each other's throats with warpaint on their faces and a pig head on a stick.
Blaise:
Blaise: Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.
âââ
Y/N: We call that a traumatic experience.
Y/N, turning to Theodore: Not a "bruh moment".
Y/N, turning to Draco: Not "sadge".
Y/N, turning to Mattheo: And DEFINITELY not an "oof LMAO".

yk whatâs crazy to me is that like, the same people who complain about mattheo riddle and enzo berkshire (and ig theo nott, whoâs only mentioned in the books) being fan-made characters who arenât actually canon will go and verbally harass a 16yo on TikTok who just made a silly goofy edit of benjamin wadsworth, and then keep scrolling through their fyp of all marauders fandom stuff like thatâs not literally the same thing

a (very) mini excerpt of what i've written and edited so far for the next one!!!!
You both laugh at that and continue to stare at the lake; how the lilypads float at one end, surrounded by long flowing reeds; how ducks glide over the surface of the water at the other end, without a care in the world.
"Are you sure you're ready for this, tesoro?" He asks, and his eyes are a soft contrast to the frown that paints his face. "War is a dangerous, scary thing."
"I know that. But I was gifted these powers for a reason, Teddy. I have to be ready to use them."
"Of course. Just-" he pauses and takes an extra long drag of the cigarette as he thinks of how to phrase his words. "Just talk to him, properly before you do go."

summary: baby first year matty arrives at hogwarts and the first person he interacts with seems to not know him at all. matty is unsure how to feel when someone treats him like just another person instead of the dark lords son
warnings: fluff, angst, baby matty, draco being an asshole even at 11
an: thank you @musingsofahufflepuff for reviewing and editing with me. lysm <3
Sleep did not come in the form of rest for Mattheo that night. Every time he closed his eyes he saw your face twisted in disgust, a variation of the same sentence leaving your mouth, âThey told me the truth about you. Youâre going to be just like your father. Nothing but a murderer. Donât ever talk to me again Mattheo.â He woke up in a sheen of sweat, panting and trying to catch his breath.Â
Each intake of air felt like his lungs were shrinking; he grasped at his sleep shirt trying to feel if his heart was truly beating as quickly as it felt in his throat. The clock on his bedside table read 3:45am. Throwing back his duvet he slipped on his house loafers, glad that Feindre convinced him to take them to school. He made his way from his dorm and across the metal bridge that led to the common room.Â
He looked around the expansive common room, deciding on a lounge chair in front of the fire. Mattheo curled in on himself, sitting sideways in the chair and pulling his knees up. He laid his head against the back of the chair, doing his best to breathe deeply and focus on the crackling of the fire. What finally let him fall asleep was thinking about the train ride with you.Â
A shaking of his shoulders jolted him awake, âAndiamo, amico.â (Câmon, mate) He snapped his head up, seeing Theo Nott and Enzo Berkshire standing behind the chair. Enzo wore a toothy grin, his ears slightly peeking out from his hair; Theo almost looked concerned. Mattheo pulled the blanket tighter to his chin, though he didnât remember having it when he fell asleep.Â
Theo mustâve seen his confused look, speaking up again, âI noticed you werenât in bed when I woke up to use the bathroom last night so I brought you down your covers.â Enzo nodded like he was involved with the interaction, âYou should probably go get dressed, weâre going to go to breakfast and then explore the castle to see where our lessons are.âÂ
Mattheo still didnât speak, instead looking briefly between the two boys. âWeâll wait for you compagno,â Theo sat down on the sofa next to Mattheoâs chair. Enzo nodded enthusiastically, following suit and sitting beside the taller boy. Mattheo silently gathered his blanket, making his way to his dorm.Â
He threw his blanket back on his bed before heading to his trunk, digging for a pair of trousers and casual shirt. Students had two free days to roam the castle and the grounds before classes were to begin and Mattheo decided he was going to take full advantage of not having to wear a uniform.Â
The door to the bathroom opened, Draco walking out and fixing his dress shirt in his trousers. He glanced at Mattheo as he pulled the t-shirt over his head, running both hands through his curls to fluff them slightly. Mattheo could hear the sneer in Dracoâs tone as he spoke, âIs that what youâre wearing?âÂ
Mattheo didnât even give him a glance, âDo you have a problem with what Iâm wearing, cousin?â Draco let out an annoyed sigh, âAuntie Bella would kill you if she saw you in that.â Mattheo grabbed his wand from his night stand, grip knuckle white but avoiding actually pointing it at his family member, âWell my mother isnât here, is she.âÂ
Draco rolled his eyes, âWhatever, letâs just go to breakfast. Theo and Enzo are already there.â Mattheo didnât bother to tell him they were waiting downstairs. He personally wasnât sure if they were doing it to be nice or if they were just trying to stay on Mattheoâs good side.Â
It was hard for him to assess who was being genuine with him versus who was trying to placate him due to his âtitleâ. He didnât get that feeling with you.Â
Mattheo followed Draco toward the common room, Theo and Enzo still sitting on the sofa where Mattheo left them. âThought you two were headed to breakfast,â Draco questioned the soon to be dynamic duo on the sofa. âWaitinâ for Matt,â Theo nodded briefly towards Mattheo who couldnât explain why his cheeks were warming slightly. âYeah, Blaisey boy is saving us a spot,â Enzo gave a boyish grin.Â
âYou know heâd curse you if he heard you call him that,â Theo fixed the strings on his tracksuit as they started towards the great hall. Enzo shrugged his shoulders, âThatâs what his mum called him on the platform. And he canât curse me, he doesnât know any yet.âÂ
Mattheo never knew how to interact with the back and forth. Never quite felt comfortable with joking with the rest of the boys growing up because his mother always told him that they were not his friends, they were his future followers.Â
âYeah but youâre not his mother, Enzo. And we all know a few curses, you know that. Our parents made sure of it,â Theo was giving a playful tone but his words held true. They all knew it.Â
Entering the large doorway to the hall Draco spotted Blaise first. The latter boy had chosen a spot in damn near the middle of the table and Mattheo felt his stomach knotting again. He knew people were already going to stare at him, but this table placement felt like he was on display.Â
He wouldâve much rather eaten at the far end of the table, where no one would likely notice him. Heâd rather eat in the kitchens with the elves. He follows the others anyway, sitting on the farthest end so thereâs plenty of bench on his left. Thatâs something he learned very early; always know where your escape route is.Â
Mattheo was too busy pushing the food around on his plate to notice you approaching. Your touch on his arm as you went to sit down was the first alert of your presence and, again, he flinched away. âMâsorr-â he starts to apologize but youâve already cut him off, âSâokay, Matty, itâs my fault. I forgot.âÂ
You turn to the rest of the boys around him, âMorning! So exciting we get to explore the castle today isnât it?â Mattheo isnât sure if youâre ignoring it, or you just are too blissed out on magic thoughts to notice the rest of his group looking at you nearly dumbfounded. Everyone else at the table knew the rule: never touch Mattheo. Yet here you were, still unharmed at that.Â
Dracoâs platinum brow was raised, glancing between you and Mattheo, âI mean this in the rudest way possibleâŚwho are you?â You hum in acknowledgement, âOf course, mâso sorry I did the same thing to Mattheo on the train,â rubbing your toast hands on your jeans before holding it out to Draco and introducing yourself, punctuating your name with another bright smile.
He stares at your hand before glancing towards Mattheo. Enzo grabbed your hand instead, shaking it enthusiastically, âLorenzo Berkshire, but call me Enzo, and this is Theodore Nott and thatâs Blaise Zabini.â He nodded to the two boys on his and Mattheoâs other side.Â
âJust Theo is fine,â Theo corrected, âCan I askâŚwhatâs a badger like you doing wandering into the snake den. Didnât you hear? We Slytherins are dangerous.â All of a sudden it feels like Mattheoâs body is not his own, like heâs shrinking smaller and smaller inside himself and whatâs sitting next to you on the bench is just a shell.Â
The back of his neck starts to feel damp and it's reminiscent of when he hears his mother call his name from across the manor. Heâs terrified. So fearful that youâll see the people around him as cruel and immediately associate that with him without questions. Then heâs alone again.Â
âYou know a badgers bite actually has a BFQ of 109,â your response to Theoâs quip is quick and easy, not a hint of defensiveness in your tone. Itâs simplyâŚinformative. Your response clearly confused most of the others as well, sweet and naive Enzo the only one open enough to ask for clarification, âWhat the hell is a BFQ?â
Between sips of his pumpkin juice Blaise speaks for the first time since you sat down, âBite force quotient.â Theo rolls his eyes, âYeah, okay but what does that even mean?â You stab a sausage with your fork and set it on your plate, knife in hand as you begin to cut it into smaller pieces, âIt means that a badger bite has enough force to crush bone like Iâm cutting this sausage.âÂ
You take a bite from your fork before dancing it around in the air as you spoke, âMmm, guess Iâm just saying to mind your tone because,â you took another bite, âyeah snakes are all in your face, hissing and what not, venom blah blahâŚbut badgers are unassuming. People see them as dumb little furry rodents so no one is quite ready when they BAM!â You stabbed a piece of cut sausage with enough force to rattle your plate and cause all the boys, including Mattheo, to flinch, âthey come in for the kill.â
âAnyway, heard weâre going to actually get to learn how to fly?!â You continued with your meal like nothing was the matter, âPersonally Iâm quite chuffed about it, you lot already know how Iâm assuming?âÂ
Enzo laughed nervously, scratching lightly at the base of his neck, âYeah we kinda all already know how mostly. But ehm, whereâd, erm, whereâd you learn that badger thing? You read a lot?â You shrugged, continuing to eat as normal, âI mean, I do like to read. But I did a project on badgers in primary, ironic huh?â You went to nudge Mattheo with your elbow before stopping halfway, seemingly remembering his issue.Â
His stomach dropped, fearing youâd never want to get close to him again. Theo spoke up, clearly still confused, âIs no one going to explain primary to us now?â Blaised sighed, though eleven he seemed to have the patience for his peers as that of a seventh year, âItâs muggle school, they start young, like six or seven years old.âÂ
âMuggle school?â Draco looks at you like youâre covered in filth and his voice is like nails on a chalkboard to Mattheo, âCousinâŚyou let a muggle sit with you on the train? With us here? At breakfast?âÂ
There it was again, that sinking, shell like feeling, only now any emptiness was being filled with anger. Without Mattheoâs help you were quick to quip back, âTechnically my parents are muggles, I got my letter the same way all of you did. Thatâs why Iâm sitting here.âÂ
Your obliviousness to the wizarding world and what each of their families and their titles held around you made you unlike any person Mattheo had ever met. He wasnât quite sure yet if that made him scared or enamored.Â
âWatch out for the badger bite, Malfoy,â Theo teased the blond and everyone laughs. Mattheo laughs too, glancing in his peripheral to see your smile reaching your eyes and that his cousins words havenât offended or have you wanting to run.Â
You take a sip of your pumpkin juice before wiping your lips with your napkin and starting to stand up. There it is, Mattheo thought, finally running. âYou ready, Matty?â youâre fully standing now, hand across your middle holding your other arm. âW-what?â it was the first Mattheo had spoken since his interrupted apology.Â
âTo see where our lessons are going to be? We should have most of them together I would assume, unless they separate the houses for most classes, but surely not right?â Mattheo stood up quickly, his heart dropping to his stomach and he scrambled to take out the course list that he had haphazardly shoved in his jeans pocket.Â
He smoothed it out on the table before holding it up next to yours, âOh see, no worries then, weâve got most of them together.â Theo asked to see your list, comparing it to his, Enzoâs and Blaiseâs. You all had a mix of courses together, you and Mattheo seeming to have the most in similarity.Â
You asked the otherâs to join you both in your exploration. Theo and Enzo agreed, Blaise said he was going to find the library. Draco said he would âfind things on his ownâ, stalking off ahead of the rest of you, keeping a pace that would ensure he was no where near the rest of you.Â
âIs he always like that?â You were asking Mattheo, but Enzo answered, âDonât worry about him, itâs not you. Well, ermâŚit might be you. But Malfoy doesnât seem to like anyone really.âÂ
Mattheo huffed a non-committal laugh, âYeah, including himself.â The other two Slytherins laughed in agreement. You simply looked concerned, âI wonder where that comes from.âÂ
Youâre too kind for your own good, Mattheo thought to himself. Per usual, Enzo is eager to answer, âOh his father is a nightmare. Real piece of work.â Theo snorted, âHeâs not the only one, aye boys. Kind of a requirement with our group.âÂ
Enzo barked out a laugh, Mattheo gave a half-hearted grunt. He glanced over at you, trying to gauge your thoughts. You were the hardest person heâs ever tried to read. Your face just held the same look, slight concern and something else Mattheo couldnât quite put his finger on, but he hoped to Merlin it wasnât pity.Â
All of the lessons seemed easy enough to find. Whether that was due to magic or not Mattheo wasnât sure and he never truly had the desire or care to find out. Mattheo was just glad you were in nearly all of his courses.Â
The only ones the two of you didnât share were potions and herbology. For some terribly bloody reason potions were split by houses, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs together and Gryffindors with Slytherins. Mattheo was going to Avada himself if he had to hear his cousin and his idiot lap dogs try to get a rise out of Potter and his ginger friend all term.Â
Enzo somehow lucked out and got Herbology with you, whereas Mattheo was stuck with Theo and the others. Mattheo couldnât help the jealousy that seemed to creep into his stomach each time you complimented something Enzo did during that lesson.Â
Even though you sat by him in every class, Mattheo craved your presence. He wasnât able to describe exactly why he craved it, though. Maybe it was because you were kind. Or maybe because you were so smart and able to pick up on things easier than everyone else. Or maybe it was because you were the only person who didnât give a rats ass who his father was.Â
The conversation, or more so argument, he overheard last week, confirmed it. He was going to meet you in one of the empty classrooms to work on transfiguration spells. For someone with founderâs blood in his veins he couldnât transform a goblet to save his life.Â
âWhy do you hang around him?â Mattheo heard someone ask, a Ravenclaw who he was pretty sure sat behind the two of you in charms. âBecause heâs my friend?â Mattheo stopped in his tracks at the sound of your voice, clearly laced with a bit of annoyance heâs never heard from you before.Â
âBut you know who his father is, donât you? Havenât you heard what heâs done?â The Ravenclaw girl was getting on Mattheoâs last nerve. He was ready to turn that corner, tell her to shut her prat mouth when you started speaking again.Â
âMattheo is not his father, gods, why does it feel like Iâm repeating that to everyone these days. People need to stop trying to warn me about him and maybe try to actually get to know him. Heâs a really nice boy. And very funny. Youâre being kind of a bitch, Padma.âÂ
Padma scoffed, clearly deciding to walk another way to wherever she was headed as you turned the corner alone, nearly running into Mattheo, âOh, wow, sorry Matty.âÂ
So people were talking to you about him. They were trying to convince you to stop hanging around him, not to be friends with him. But youâre not listening, his internal thoughts rang as a reminder.Â
Your hand moving back and forth in front of his face brought him back to the present, âWhereâd you go? Was like you were looking into another realm, is that a thing here? Can you guys, er, can we do that?â Mattheo completely ignored your inquiry and instead answered your question with another question, âDid you just call someone a bitch?âÂ
The bridge of your nose seemed to display a light shade of pink and Mattheo couldnât recall ever seeing you flustered before, âThey were being mean.â He couldnât help himself, a desperate need deep inside had to see if you would admit it, âWhat were they being mean about that warranted that response?âÂ
You started walking towards your shared destination, but Mattheo couldnât let it die. âCâmonn,â he dragged the word out slightly, âwe tell each other everything.â And that was mostly true on Mattheoâs part. He wasnât so sure talking about watching his mother use unforgiveables on guests was something you needed to know; or even something youâd understand.Â
âEhm, it was you,â your voice was small, nearly a whisper that Mattheo didnât catch. âWhat? Whatâd you say?â You huffed, stopping in front of the door to the classroom you were meant to practice in, âThey were being mean about you, Mattheo. Okay? I know I shouldnât have called her that butâŚugh, I am so sick and tired of people trying to convince me that youâre a bad person.âÂ
That last part came out in a huff of frustration as you opened the door and walked inside. Mattheo couldnât move. He was stuck in the doorway. You turned when you couldnât hear his footsteps following you, âAre we still practicing?âÂ
âHow many people have tried to convince you Iâm a bad person?â He truly didnât want to know the answer. Just asking the question made him feel like his insides were boiling. You shook your head slightly, âI dunno, Matty. Iâm not exactly keeping track of every miserable git telling me my best friend is terrible.âÂ
Mattheo started walking towards you now, âYou think Iâm your best friend?â He could hear his heartbeat in his ears, his stomach seemingly in his throat and he sort of felt like he might throw up. The sound of your laugh soothed all of that out.Â
âWell, yeah ya knob. Am I not yours? Donât tell me you picked Nott over me.â Mattheo stammered for a moment, âWha- ehm, Why did youâŚhuh? Theo?â You laughed a little harder now, âYou guys are close too, arenât you?âÂ
Mattheoâs head hurt a little, âI, uh, I meanâŚyeah I guess. But not like you and me. I meanâŚfucking Salazar.â Mattheo ran his hands through his curls, tugging at the sides slightly. You held your hand up as if to calm his stammering, âItâs okay, Matty. I know Iâm your best friend too.âÂ
He grinned at that, your reassurance. It still felt new every time you did it; heâs never gotten it as much as he has with you. âReady to finally learn how to change a toad into a goblet?â You reached in your pocket and pulled out the amphibian. Mattheo grinned, nodding and setting up beside you.Â
The next several months seemed to fly by in lessons. Mattheo never realized how much practical magic he never really learned at home.Â
Feindre did all his washings and cooking, he lived in a manor that was centuries old and protected by magic so he never needed to know any repair or fixing spells, and the doors being locked or not were irrelevant as his mother just apparated to where he was if she were to punish him; she also never locked a door if she were torturing. âYou need to see the weakness that leaks from those beneath us Mattheo.âÂ
He shuddered at the thought. He was well aware of what was going to be expected of him. He was half sure his mother only let him attend Hogwarts as a means of gaining more respect and more followers. âYou want them to fear you, youâre not looking for friends, youâre looking for followers.âÂ
He didnât like that either. Draco was a follower. Draco was afraid. He didnât want that to be the only type of people around him. Â
For someone who didnât know magic was real until five months ago, you were exceptional in all your classes. You were always trying to study, always trying to soak in more information.Â
The last day before Christmas holiday was no exception. You had asked Mattheo, Theo and Enzo if they wanted to start on course work for next term. They had all said no.Â
WellâŚEnzo had looked at you like youâd grown an extra head, whereas Theo and Mattheo declined politely. Mattheo wouldâve have went with you in a heartbeat, but he hadnât packed a single item in his trunk.Â
His original school of thought was that if he didnât pack then heâd have to stay at school for the holidays. The thought of seeing his mother again made him short of breath from anxiety.Â
But Draco reminded him that the Malfoy Christmas ball was happening (as it did every year) and Mattheo actually loved his Aunt Cissy. She was the only person in his fatherâs circle that treated him like any other boy his age.Â
You didnât mind going to the library alone. You often did when the Slytherins wanted to play quidditch. You were not quite as good at flying as they were yet, so youâd go to the library to make revisions instead.Â
The content for next term actually seemed exciting to you. But everything about Hogwarts excited you. In History of Magic next term you were going to learn about the origins of wizards sports, quidditch the primary subject.Â
I have to tell Mattheo, heâll be so excited, was your only thought and you rushed out of the library, not quite paying attention to your surroundings as you crashed into someone; dropping your texts in the process.Â
You heard Dracoâs scoff of disgust before you heard his annoying voice, âOut of my way mudblood.â You let out an annoyed huff, bending down to pick up your books from the floor.Â
âI donât even know what that means, Malfoy. But I know youâre trying to insult me,â you held your books flush to your chest, âyour insults donât mean anything to me you know.âÂ
Draco laughed out loud, taking a look at each one of his chubby minions beside him, âDo you want me to explain it to you?â
You adjusted the strap on your shoulder bag, âNot really but Iâm sure youâre going to.â The malicious glint in Dracoâs eye shouldâve warned you of the delight he was about to get from this. You shouldâve ignored him and walked away but there were three of them and only one of you.Â
âYouâre a filthy, little, mudblood,â Draco emphasized each work with hatred and disgust, âYour blood is dirty, you come from nothing. Fucking Salazar, you are nothing. I honestly donât get how the others are so blind to it.âÂ
You opened your mouth to respond, make any kind of retort but Draco kept going, âIâm what you call pureblood. The blood that runs in my veins has centuries of magic in it and Mattheo is the same. Enzo, Theo, Blaise, all of our blood is pure. I donât know what little spell you put on my cousin, but itâs going to fade.Â
âIt may not be tomorrow, it may not even be a year from now, but heâs going to realize your worthlessness. Fuck and when he doesâŚI want you to remember this moment. I want you to hear my voice in the back of that empty fucking head of yours telling you I told you so.âÂ
The tears brimming your eyes were uncontrollable. You didnât want to believe anything he was saying, you knew Mattheo didnât think of you like that. But there was a small part of you that couldnât help but agree.Â
âDonât go running to cousin with your tears either, heâs the Dark Lordâs heir after all. He doesnât need to deal with whiny babies.â Draco had to deliver one more blow for his satisfaction, him and his friends laughing in your face.Â
âYouâre a prick, Malfoy. No wonder everyone canât stand you,â you wiped your eyes with the heel of your palm as you pushed passed them.Â
You could still hear them laughing, mocking you all down the corridor until you turned the corner. You were supposed to meet up with Mattheo before dinner, but now you just wanted to be left alone.Â
âĄâĄâĄ
When you didnât meet him at the common room entrance for dinner, Mattheo was a little worried. Theo tried to calm him down, telling him they were running late and you probably just went to the hall already.Â
But that made Mattheo more distraught, since houses donât mix at dinner time. He was quieter than usual once they sat down, far more focus on searching the faces and backs of heads at the Hufflepuff table.Â
When he didnât recognize any student to be you, he turned to the group, âYou guys didnât happen to see y/n on the way to dinner did you? I donât see âem here.âÂ
Enzo and Theo looked over at your house table, shaking their heads. Blaise looked a little guilty, âI wasnât going to say anythingâŚhonestly Matt I thought maybe you had a fight or something.âÂ
Mattheo turned towards him, âSay anything about what?â Blaise shrugged his shoulders, a slight apologetic look in his eyes, âI saw them crying earlier, I think they were going towards the astronomy tower.âÂ
Instant panic spread over him, âCrying? Were they hurt? Could you tell?â Blaise shook his head. âWhy do you even care?â Draco sounded annoyed, Mattheo got angry. âThat's my friend, did you do something to them?âÂ
Draco rolled his eyes, flipping Mattheo the bird, âWouldnât waste my breath on a mudblood.â Mattheo slammed him open palms on the table as he stood up from the bench.Â
Everyone in a ten foot radius was staring now. Draco looked terrified, rightfully so. While he only just learned reparo, Mattheo learned crucio at age 5 and he was pretty confident he could cast it on his cousin this very moment.Â
Instead, Mattheo stormed off, heading straight to where he hoped was the astronomy tower. After only two wrong turns he started up the mountain of stairs.Â
After only two flights he spotted you, curled in on yourself on one of the large steps with your back to the wall. Your face was hidden in your knees but the gold from the hood of your robes gave you away.Â
You were crying, muffled and trying to be silent but Mattheo recognized the posture. The shaking shoulders, the small sniffles. Heâd done it a dozen times himself this last summer.Â
âThereâs my badgerâŚwhatâre you doing up here?â Mattheoâs voice was soft, gentle. Itâs what he always hoped was used when he felt this way so he could only assume itâd be comforting to you too.Â
You lifted your head just enough to rest your chin on your knees, âI got tired,â you sniffed again, âtoo many stairs.âÂ
Mattheo nodded, small smile on his face, âSâthat why youâre crying and missed dinner? Too many stairs? Couldnât get back down?â
You knew he was trying to make a joke, a weak smile was all you could manage before frowning once more, âWasnât the stairsâŚâÂ
Mattheo moved to sit in front of you, barging into your eye line, âThen what was it?â Your face scrunched and you shook your head.Â
Mattheo placed his hands on your ankles, the action was so out of character for him, the physical touch. But it make you lock eyes nonetheless, âIf I tell you, you have to just let it go.âÂ
The tilt in his head was slight but you noticed it, âI mean it Matty.â Mattheo nodded, not speaking in hopes youâd continue.Â
âIt was your cousin. He justâŚugh,â you hid your face in your knees again, taking a deep shuttered breath. Mattheo gave your ankles a small squeeze as if to encourage you to keep explaining.Â
You turned your head to the side, not wanting to look Mattheo in the eyes when you said it, âHe called me aâŚmudblood.âÂ
Mattheoâs hands disappeared from your legs and it made you look at him. People had told you Mattheo could probably get angry. That his father was considered the darkest wizard of our time.Â
You never really saw any of that before, but you saw a glint of it in his eyes now, âIs that all he said?â You shook your head, sinking back into the wall slightly.Â
âI told him I didnât know what that meantâŚthen he told me I had dirty blood. Said his was pure. That all of you Slytherins had pure blood and that no matter how hard I triedâŚI would never amount to the same as you guys.âÂ
Mattheo frowned. You had started crying again and he felt like someone had just punched a hole in his gut. âHeâs wrong,â Mattheo was shaking his head, âSome of the biggest sodding cowards Iâve ever seen are from pureblood families.âÂ
âJust made me feel really cruddy,â you snuffled, wiping your eyes with the sleeves of your robe. Mattheo could feel a fire kindling inside his chest, âIâll kill him.âÂ
You reached out, grabbing Mattheoâs forearm; he didnât flinch away this time. âDonât,â you pleaded, âyou promised you wouldnât do anything.âÂ
Mattheo chewed on the inside of his cheek, âWell I have to do something..âÂ
âWill you just sit with me for a little bitâŚplease?â You pleaded, your hand was cool against his heated skin.Â
âYeah, erm, I can do that.â So thatâs what he did. Mattheo found solace on the step one above yours. He sat as you did, pulling his knees to his chest.Â
He sat with you until you felt better, calmer. Then he walked you to your common room, popping into the kitchens with you to grab a small bite since you both missed dinner.Â
When he got back to his own common room he grabbed his duvet from his dorm and then back to the communal space and picked the largest couch to lay on.Â
He couldnât sleep in his dorm tonight. Draco was in there. And if he saw Draco, he knew heâd hurt him right now. And if there were two things Mattheo knew he would never do: (1) become his father, (2) break a promise to you.

supposed to be working on jealous best friend mattheo but I can't get this idea out of my head. 18+.
best friends mattheo and theo finding out when you're all a little tipsy and just talking about random things that no guy you've ever been with has made you come. and also that because of it you're pretty sure that it can't be the guys doing something wrong, it must be something wrong with you and they're just like no. absolutely not. the guys you've been with are just selfish arseholes and if you let them show you they'll prove it.
and at first you think they're joking, then when you realise they're not you automatically want to refuse because you're best friends... you shouldnt do that kind of thing right? but then you're just so curious, not to mention frustrated, and they're being so sweet and reassuring about it that fuck it, you say yes.
cue mattheo making you come on his fingers and theo making you come in his mouth whilst neither of them let you touch them like that, you just have to lie back and relax for them because 'this is all about you not us'
... so yeah this currently has me unable to think about anything else ( i have an idea for a part two about the aftermath which is also taking over all my thoughts)
#mattheo riddle#theo nott#mattheo riddle x reader#theo nott x reader#mattheo riddle x reader x theo nott#i know this idea is probably cliche as hell and done a million times but idc i need it#guess whos gonna be like a little goblin hunched over her laptop later
