Ok so apparently it's not normal that whenever someone goes to a restaurant and I'm with them, I expect them to get just themselves food and then we leave. Like if you get me food or ask if I want anything I will in fact look at you like you're a stranger who just walked up and offered me a 100 dollar bill

Chapter 3
Life, as you fear, is falling apart as you're confronted with a serious case of writer's block that puts your career on the line. As a solution, you're roommate helps you plan a solo trip to the Amalfi Coast for a much needed break but it doesn't take long for you to meet a certain Monegasque who lays passed out on the beach.
Tumblr media
The Spaniard shifts uncomfortably before taking a step back. You had read all about him - of course you had - but how were you supposed to know he would be here? For sure you were drooling by how in shock you were, but you couldn’t find the strength to pick your jaw off the floor.
And then it got worse.
“Carlos, you won’t believe what I just saw! A Stormtrooper just got slapped by some ballerina! I mean he was kind of asking for it - he grabbed her and she just…” He mimics a dramatic strike as Carlos chuckles. “Best night of my life.”
The brown eyed man quirks a dark brow towards the lousy looking Super Mario. “This is my friend, Lando.” He leans closer to your ear. “He’s not normal.”
“Hey,” the Brit warns as he fixes his overalls, then blushes. “I-It was such short notice.”
Bewildered, you let out soft pants as you pat your chest over and over. The two men share a concerned look. “Are you feeling okay?” Would it be the worst thing in the world to bolt out the door and fly back home? Eyeing the entrance, you contemplate it for a bit but then you hear the familiar accent.
“She's yeigh high, won’t stop talking even if you beg her to…”
“I’m fine!” The pair flinch at the sudden burst. “I’m just going to pop out and take a breather.”
“There you are.” Your stomach drops. Charles raises his brows in a curious manner at the back heads of Carlos and Lando as you weigh your options. You can deal with this - pretend none of this was actually happening. But instead you do what you do best.
“Where are you-”
Pushing past the crowd, you make your way out the door. Once you take a step outside, you look both ways before shaking your head and running down the street. You receive weird looks, but don’t bother to care. There wasn’t an exact destination in mind, but anything was better than dealing with whatever that was.
Loud footsteps make your spine tingle with uneasiness as you turn around. And this has to be some sort of nightmare because a Stormtrooper, heist man, and Super Mario chase after you. You sprint faster, often taking glances back as Charles tries to catch his breath.
“Where the fuck are you going? Are you crazy?” he shouts as Carlos and Lando stop, immediately recognizing his voice. You stop dead in your tracks as Charles inches closer. Grabbing you by the shoulders, he shakes you harshly. “What’s wrong with you? You can’t just run off like that!”
“I-I…” You spot the two friends as they mutter at each other, walking closer. Feverishly, you shake your head, headache coming in strong. “I needed air-”
Cold eyes narrow down like knives. “That’s fine, but couldn’t you have gone through a more sane route?” You’re a blubbering mess, jumbling out non-existing words as the Monegasque wrestles to decipher them all.
That sounds just like Leclerc, or am I going insane? Lando murmurs as Carlos nods silently. Kind of, but we should help her. What if he’s just some creep?
The duo are about to reach you and your roommate when you land on what seems like the worst idea, but reluctantly, saves you. Tippy toeing, you throw your arms around Charles’ neck before pressing your lips onto his. He stiffens.
“Oh umm…so…they’re not strangers.”
The Spaniard’ eyes grow wide. “Definitely not. We should probably leave them alone.”
Making their way back to the party, you sigh with relief against the brunette’s pink lips as you relax your feet down onto the pavement. But this only leads to the green eyed boy to angle himself lower and continue the kiss. Pushing him back sharply, you shriek.
“No!”
He jumps with high alert. “Wh-what’s wrong?”
Rosy cheeks flush furthermore as you rub your eyes harshly. “This…this is wrong.” A beat. “I shouldn’t have kissed you.”
The Monegasque lets out a small laugh before running a large hand against his stubble. “But I thought-”
“I know,” you chant. “But it wasn’t the right thing to do. I got lost in the moment and that’s my fault, but we’re friends, Charles. That was…weird.”
His heart stops from your sudden burst. Bruised is an understatement. He won’t say he has a crush - God, it’s only been a couple of days of knowing you - but it would be an outright lie if he said a kiss hadn’t crossed his mind. But did you have to be so unfazed by it all?
A raw cough rings through the air, only soft music being heard as you two awkwardly stare at each other. “It was kind of weird.” A forced chuckle makes its way up your throat as you rub your arm. “I also got lost in the gist of it all, don’t feel too bad.”
“We’re good then?”
He nods, lips stretched out into a knowing smile. “Yes.”
You whistle. “Thank God. I wouldn’t want things to get…”
“Me too.” He winks teasingly. “Just answer me one thing; Was I any good?”
Unable to keep eye contact, you softly smack his suit. “What are you tal- I was.” He wiggles his dark brows. Stop lying. You gape at him. “I don’t want to talk about this anymore!” He chuckles.
“Do you want to go back, or?”
“Or.”
-
Unlocking the door, the Monegasque steps aside as you thank him, brushing past his tall figure and making your way onto the couch. “I don’t think I could ever party again. Might just have to accept my fate.”
The white cloud plunges down as he takes a seat next to your tired state. “Which is?”
“That I’m old.” You sit up straight as you point an accusing finger up at him. He tilts his head. “Correction - we’re both old.”
A hand slaps your mouth shut as you squeal against it. “I think it might just be you.” Yoomphtoofth, you muffle as you try to wiggle free from his strong grip. “Let me know if you disagree.”
Licking his hand, he yelps as he pulls away, immediately drying himself against your tutu. You smirk. “Asshole.” He narrows his eyes. Shrugging him off, you curl your legs up to your chest. “Truce?” Glaring at your hand, he questions it for a second before hesitantly shaking it. Tugging it towards your mouth, he lets out a high pitched squeak as you lick it.
“You’re a heathen,” he shrieks as you throw your head back laughing. Relax. You’ve already kissed me. “You kissed me, let's not forget.” You blush. Suddenly I’m feeling very tired. Off to bed I go.
Staring with slight amusement, he waves you off. When you come to a halt, sleepy eyes reconnect with yours. “I know you said it’s fine for me to keep the bed and you the couch, but I’m willing to share now that I trust you.”
A playful scoff escapes. “I’m flattered.” You stick your tongue out, aiming your ballet shoe at him. He dodges it before comedically scowling. “It’s fine, you can keep it. Hopefully it helps tend to your nasty attitude. You should seriously get that checked out.”
You huff, foot stopping against the wooden tiles. “And I’m sure you’re getting a hump back, so by all means stay in your microscopic couch.” Green eyes bulge out with worry as he runs into the room.
“On second thought, I think we should share!”
-
So he’s a cuddler. You learn so very quickly when he instinctively drapes his hand over your belly. You try to wrestle free for a while before you realize how nice it feels. A few seconds tick by before you drift off to sleep.
The strong beams that slither past the curtains are enough to shake the Monegasque awake. Groaning, he squints his eyes as he analyzes his surroundings. It takes a second for him to register how close you are, and even worse, how his arm lays over your delicate figure.
Flinging it away, he scoots back. You toss and turn for a while before you lazily rub your eyes. Was there an earthquake? Charles opens his mouth, then snaps it shut. You raise an expectant brow. T’was my imagination? “Must have been,” he croaks, a raspy voice bouncing off the walls. “How about some breakfast?”
After a strong counter argument on your behalf, he eventually complies and strolls out the door, set to get some breakfast for you both. It should have been for the best to tidy up the bed, clean up a bit.
Definitely not hunt for a small journal.
Guilt resurfaces as you open the side drawer, finding it empty. What were you doing? Charles has been nothing but good to you - he was someone you considered your friend. Maybe it was for the best, it was a bit too invasive.
Your tummy grumbles as you glare at the clock, time slowly passing by and still no sign of the Monegasque. Dragging your feet to the living room, you shamelessly plop onto the couch when you spot an oddly familiar item. The brown diary.
You can feel the way your eyes sparkled with merriment as a delirious laugh ringed past your dry lips. It had been dug between the pillows begging to be let out. To be skimmed through. Analyzed. Soft fingers trace the front cover as your breath hitches.
This doesn’t have to happen. You didn’t have to do any of this. You could be honest, admit what you’re doing, that you know who he is and how that would change nothing between you two, and that you needed this. He would understand. But the thin pages were luring you in by every passing second he doesn’t walk past that door. A tiny peek won’t hurt.
You can’t tell how much time has passed, but the moment you hear keys jingling, you hurriedly stash it back in its original hiding spot and rush over to the terrace overlooking Amalfi. Strong accent calls out for you as you holler back. With a sheepish smile, he hands you a box of crepes. Grazie.
His green eyes flicker with evident panic, though he tries not to show it. “Hey, have you seen a small journal by any chance? It’s sort of important.” As quickly as you started, you stopped munching and immediately started to choke. A large hand pats your back as you inch away as if he held a deadly disease.
“N-no I have not.” You brush your hair back, suddenly hot. “Is it that big a deal?”
The brunette shrugs but reluctantly nods. “I write down my feelings sometimes. Helps me cope with lots of things.” An appreciated and honest expression maps itself between his soft features. “Though I think I found a new outlet.” Your heart stops as he glazes over the open scenery. “Still, I should go look for it.”
Left hollow and sick, you burn with fury towards yourself. You should have let it go, but God, why did you have to ruin everything?
The day settles with a drive around town with a navy Vespa. Charles had bought it on a whim when you gushed over the idea of adventuring in true old fashion. Just like Princess Anne and Joe Bradley. Snuggling your head with a hideous helmet, you pout as he clicks it securely before working on his own. “This is not what I had in mind.”
He clicks his tongue. “Rather be safe than sorry.”
“This is only going to mess with my hair. I planned this outfit to perfection, Cha! And look!” You give him a quick twirl as he rolls his eyes at the dramatic gesture. “Now you’ve ruined it.”
“Just get on.”
Bumpy road makes you squeal with hysteria as you cling on extra tight around his waist. You can hear his croaky laughter as he swerves to avoid crashing into a fruit stand. Scusa! “You’re going to get us killed, and contrary to belief, I would love to live!”
“Would you relax? I know what I’m doing.”
Once you make it out of the busy village, you’re actually able to enjoy the ride. You even try to convince him to play a round of i-Spy with you, though that later backfires when you accuse him of cheating. You’re in the heat of your one-sided argument when he pulls into an abandoned church. Hopping off, you lay your arms firmly against your hips. “What is all this?”
It goes unannounced, but he quietly makes his way over to creaky doors. “Would you like to find out?” With a decent round of skepticism, you begrudgingly follow. I don’t see what there could possibly be in here. Why don’t we just go for ice cream? Bringing a finger up to his lips, he signals for you to hush. Doe eyes flutter with curiosity as he makes his way to the altar.
As soon as he kneels down, you awkwardly kick your leg around as you puff your cheeks. You hum slowly as you watch the way he remains still for a while, eyes closed.
“Should I let you have a moment, or…” Be quiet, he hisses. You weren’t necessarily religious but you figured you should give him some space. The sound of old wood crumbles underneath your feet as you walk down the steps. I fucking got it!
You gasp loudly as you recklessly spin around to find him pulling pieces of wood, clearly destroying the already grubby floor. “I’m not that close with the man up above, but I’m almost sure you can’t say shit like that in here, even if it’s abandoned.” You slap your mouth shut as his eyes glimmer with amusement. Heat rises up to your cheeks. “I’m also sure you can’t be doing this! It’s private property.”
“Who’s going to stop me?” he childishly murmurs as he continues with his careless task. “Ouch,” he yelps when a splinter digs through his finger.
“Serves you right.”
Glaring up at your smug figure, the brunette waves you over. “Instead of just standing there, you should help me.”
“With what? There’s nothing valuable here! What are you even looking for?”
With a minor annoyance, he fiercely kicks through the board as it lets loose as cracks. Thunder rumbles as you shake your head with disapproval. You’ve done it. You made God mad, I hope you’re happy. Only, he’s grinning ear to ear as he shows off a small box. You tilt your head with clear confusion as he dashes up to you.
“I can’t believe it’s still here after all these years.” There’s a trace of disbelief and adoration as he takes in the dusty package. There’s a whole galaxy shining within his watercolor eyes when he looks up at you. Your breath gets stuck in your throat.
Blinking rapidly, you gently run your finger across it, skin instantly becoming a dark shade of brown as you scrunch your nose. “What is it?” Your eyebrows arch into a sympathetic peer. “Oh no…did you bury a hamster or something like that in there?”
Tears well up in your eyes as you tap the wood in a downhearted state. “No, you ghoul.” He tenderly opens it up. Pulling out a golden pin, your eyes widen as The Prancing Horse reflects back towards you both.
“My father left this here for me.” You heart swells at the sensitive mention. Charles had told you about his fathers death a few nights ago, so you were still new with deciding how to react. “He said he would, and he did.”
“That’s really sweet,” you whisper, hand pressing against his broad shoulder. “What does it mean?” And it takes you a while to realize that you weren’t asking for your benefit, but rather because you wanted to learn more about the Monegasque. Any crumb felt like a feast to you.
It appears as if he’s playing the words in his head as he runs his thumb against it. “My dad helped build this church when I was 6. It helped bring in a bit of money for the family.” Your eyes glimmer attentively as you nod. “When I had time to get away from boxing…yeah, boxing…he would bring me and my older brother to carry wood. Arthur was much younger.”
His Golden Goose tapped against the brown ground for further classification. “Maman would get upset at him, saying we were just babies, but we didn’t mind at all.” A gray cloud paints his eyes as he twists his lips. “I’m glad we did that, now that I’m older.”
“You must really miss him,” you mumble, glassy eyes shining back at him. He lets out a sorrowful smile.
“I do.” A beat. “But what am I doing acting like I’m the only one who’s had it tough?” Dark brows form a sharp V as he signals to you. “Oh, because of you and your relationship with your parents-”
“I got that,” you scowl with a lighthearted glare. The corner of his lips lift. “But my situation is nothing compared to yours. Sure, my parents and I aren’t close - not enough for my liking - but at least they’re alive.” He flinches slightly as you cradle his face. “I-”
“I know,” he reassures you with a small smile. “He was the best. Always put his family first; his son's dreams were his priority.” He raises the golden pin. “One night after dinner, he mentioned how he hid a small horse somewhere in the church, so that when the time was right, I would go back and look for it. I was covetous, wanted it right there and then. So, I worked up the courage to ask everyone around if they had seen a horse. They looked at me as if I was crazy.” He chuckles.
“He found out and sat me down. Told me it didn’t work like that. My biggest dream was to own a Ferrari, just like everyone in Monaco hopes to. He believed in me, swore that if I worked hard enough, then I could do it. Only then would I know where the mysterious pin was.”
“Lorenzo, my older brother, knew there was a key for…” He signals sheepishly at the wooden floor, a lock hidden in plain sight as he blushes. “I guess I never really learned how to be patient. I barely figured it out a few days ago, when you kicked the cabinet door open.”
You gape. “It was jammed.”
He snickers. “It reminded me of something he had said after he painted the walls. Only the toughest can kick without feeling any regret. He would have loved you, that much I know.”
Flustered, you twirl the hem of your dress. “You’re saying I’m a horse?”
“You’re definitely abnormal.” Your shoulders droop. “All I’m saying is that you helped me find the missing piece. And that means a lot.”
“But you don’t own a Ferrari yet,” you retorted, even though only you knew, you knew the truth, but he doesn’t bat an eye, only clips the pin onto your dress.
“One day I will.” He winks. “Until then, you can take care of this for me.”
-
“Two more weeks, huh?”
Forcing a spoonful of gelato into his mouth, you pout. He struggles to digest the berry treat. “That’s kind of sad. I think I’ll actually miss you, Charles.”
His lips curl. “I know I’ll miss you.” Brown hair flows against the summer breeze. “But it doesn’t have to end like this. We can still see each other. Right?”
“Uh…”
He would find out eventually once the article was published and he would hold every right to hate you. To not want to see you again. Your lack of response has him pinching his face. “You don’t want to?”
Scrambling like a clumsy giraffe, you fidle with a nearby pillow. “I do! But when would we have the time?” You’re going to be too busy racing and hating my guts, you want to spit out when he beams back at you.
“I would make the time just for you.”
Your heart clenches. Could he just be honest? Open up to you. You would gladly do the same, but he needed to do this first to give you the courage to own up to your secrets. Lips part, then purse. “Charles, I-” A ring lingers in the air as he tips his head, giving to the go-ahead. Excusing yourself, you march into the sunny room.
“Yes, hello?”
“How’s vacation?” Eleanor’s rich voice enters your ears as you squirm.
“Vacation?” you squeak.
She sighs. “I’m obviously kidding. Can’t you tell that I’m kidding?” A nervous giggle flutters as you hum back at her. She continues. “Anyways, that's not what I called you for. I just wanted to check up on you.”
“Oh. My injuries are much better. Doc says I can have the casts removed in a week-”
“Let me rephrase. I wanted to check up on your work. Progress.”
“Of course,” you say. “I actually have it done. It just needs a few more rounds of proof-reading, but I’m sure I can send it to you by…” You stare at the calendar. “Two weeks.”
Eleanor clicks her tongue in disapproval. “No, I need it by Friday. Nothing past that.”
Your stomach lurches. “Eleanor, I can’t.” And why not? Biting down on your nails, you peek over to where the brunette sun bathes, or naps, you can’t tell. I need two weeks because by then I’ll be gone and won’t have to deal with a certain driver detesting me. You understand, right? But you don’t say any of that.
“You said it was an exclusive. I need this,” she warns, subtle threat lacing his voice. “We’re talking about one of the most sought-out drivers in all of Formula One. Do you realize what this could do for your career? If you nail this right in the eye, you might even become my right hand. And you know it’s only up from there, sweetheart. Friday.”
“Friday.”
That same night, the sound of your digits hitting the keyboard are the only thing being heard. Charles tries to sneak a peek, but when you cry out stating you were helping a friend get over a break up, he took a step back and scrolled through his phone.
Stellar job…The most…Amazing…
A frustrated growl escapes you as you fist your hands. Taking a look, Charles can’t help but grin. Often misunderstood, the 26 year old deals with lots of… “Argh!” His eyes widened.
“That bad, huh? What did he do to your poor friend?”
“What?” you rudely retort, but quickly try to ease your breathing. “Right. Um. Yeah, men are shit.”
“Of course we are,” he replies warmly. “How about you take a break? If you’re getting too riled up, you won’t do her any good. Just refresh and come back to it. I’m sure she’ll appreciate it.”
But the blank space has you stressed as you circle back to what Eleanor said over the phone. You had perfect this. “I have to do this. Help her, I mean. Now.”
“You’re too kind.” It’s as if a loving glow towers over his face as he sits at the edge of the bed. “I admire that.”
“You do?”
“Mhm. But seriously, let's go for a walk.”
Despite the sun setting, he of course wears his famous Raybans and a Boston hat lounged over his curly hair. His killer mullet was rolling in as you licked your lips at the dreamy sight.
Wait. No.
With a secretive glance, you find him whistling an unknown tune. Though he wears the darkest shade of sunglasses, you can still feel his warm gaze. Though his luscious hair is draped with an old hat, you can still distinguish his shampoo scent. His body next to yours is enough to make your inside flip as you shake your head abruptly.
This was Charles. Just a friend. A friend for the time being, at least. There was no room to form a crush now. You settled on the fact that he was just merely attractive. That you can do - admit.
“I was serious about what I said earlier today. I will visit you wherever you are.” Green eyes flicker over to you. “You’ve become one of the most important persons in my life. A good friend to have around.”
Your heart for some reason shatters as you squint your eyes at the golden sun. “Right after Amelia and Roman, you are someone I consider a friend, too. I’m glad we met.” A peaceful silence lingers between you two as your heart thuds against your ribcage. “Charles-”
“I know you read my journal.”

reaction to finding out you have a chronic disease | fem!reader x haikyuu!!
this idea popped into my head in the shower. shower thoughts are the best. as a chronically ill person such as myself (mentally and physically, LOL!) i felt maybe I was a little qualified to write this. these are all diseases i experience! i can def write some that i am not diagnosed with :) i'm a biology nerd, so i love learning new things, especially about diseases! some of these are more serious than others. i tried to keep the disease symptoms/descriptions general so it can appeal to more diagnoses (for example, nosebleeds are indicative of several different diseases) that way more people can feel represented by what i write!
‼️warnings: mentions of blood, nekoma team being dorks, seizures, WAY too many ellipses (sorry I just love them), pointless bantering (oikawa), dramatic af, osamu described as "caked-up" (sorry not sorry), railing on atsumu for shits and giggles, deep hatred of the word moist
want to see a different haikyuu character's reaction? request here! also, if you want to read a specific disease represented, i can see if i can put it in there too :)
✿ kuroo tetsuro "hey when do you want to- OH MY GOD ARE YOU OKAY?!" blood dripped from your nose onto the gymnasium floor. "oh. another nosebleed. my bad, I'll clean that up..." you said apathetically. "hey, this is sort of a big deal, ya know? shit... yaku, I need a towel or something!" he shouted. they really weren't anything serious. ever since you were little, you had frequent nosebleeds. your mom wrote it all off as the cold weather (even in summer), so it wasn't really that big of a deal to you either (until a few doctor visits later). still, the apathy you felt toward your predicament remained. yamamoto had already rushed over at his captain's call. "does she need an ice pack, too? fuck, I don't know what to do...." "aren't you supposed to tilt your head up?" one member asked. "no, no i think you're supposed to tilt your head down...." another muttered. "GUYS, GUYS I GOT IT. GOOGLE SAYS TO 'sit down and tilt your head forward, pinching the top part of your nose above the nostrils for like, 10 to 15 minutes.'" lev sat back proudly, phone in hand. "can't believe you were smart enough to look that up..." kenma whispered under his breath. "hey, hey, look at me. you still with us?" kuroo said, a hand on either side of your face. despite the towel against your nose, you couldn't help but laugh. "oh my god, guys! it's not like I'm dying! this happens all the time." "but that's not...normal. did you ever get it checked out?" kuroo stared at you inquisitively, his brow raised. his fellow teammates nodded. you sighed. "look, unless there's a lot of excessive gushing or anything like that, they said i should be okay. yes there's a whole disease behind it all with a long-ass name that no one can pronounce and yes there are sometimes other symptoms that could result in death, but I'm totally fine, okay? I'm perfectly healthy!" "you poor, fragile angel..." lev said, a hand on his chest, distraught. "that... does NOT make me feel more relieved. at all. in fact, I'm more worried. should we go to the hospital? that one looked a little... gush-y...." kuroo said, pacing back and forth before setting his eyes back on you. removing the towel from your nose, you shook your head. "no. look, bleeding nose already gone, see? I'm not going to the hospital. I'm completely fine. relax, kuroo." kuroo stared at you for another moment, taking in your expression, searching for any signs of discomfort. at last, he sighed. "ok. fine. I concede. but if you ever feel the littlest bit unwell, tell me or one of us, okay?" after your agreement, and several more minutes of doting from both your boyfriend and all the other team members, you at last parted ways. as you got out of the shower that night, your phone lit up with a notification. tetsu 💕 [11:23pm]: I'm serious about what I said back there. please talk to me when you aren't feeling good. you mean so much to me that I can't imagine what life would be like without you. sleep well, babe. love you.
✿ osamu miya "damn are you o-- OKAY, YEAH, NO. SHE'S NOT OKAY." it was your average day as a supportive, amazing, fantastic girlfriend watching your iconic, sexy, hot, caked-up boyfriend play volleyball with his piss-haired twin and the rest of the team of inarizaki. unfortunately for you (and the entire volleyball team), inarizaki had a recent issue with their air conditioning units. even more unfortunate was the fact that the fans in the gymnasium were practically there for decoration, that's how useless they were. despite it being late march (still quite cool outside), the players and spectators were drenched in sweat. still, you weren't about to let a little (lot) bit of sweat deter you from cheering for your mans! so, you remained in the stands, cheering as loudly as you could (except for the times when you couldn't because atsumu was once again on his I'm About To Serve Power Trip). it was finally nearing the end of the game, and thank GOD it was because you were starting to feel reaaalllly light-headed. at the final score of the match, you stood up, but oh, was that a mistake. suddenly, you legs started shaking. the lights suddenly seemed to dim down and black spots were popping up in your vision. maaaaybe you should sit back down. wait. where is "back down"? it suddenly occurred to you that at this point, you couldn't see anything. beginning to panic, you started reaching out to find something to hold onto, thankfully finding the stair railing of the bleachers in your grasp. slowly, you blindly fumbled your way down the steps of what you hoped were the bleachers steps. you heard someone shout something along the lines of, "you good?" you were far too panicked and far too focused to give a reply. don't fall down. don't fall down. don't faint. don't pass out. you chanted in your head like a mantra. you heard the squeak of shoes against the ground and voices talking back and forth around you when suddenly a steady hand grabbed ahold of you just above your elbow. guess that was all you needed before your consciousness flickered, then extinguished.
-
"....cold like ice...." "...pale as hell...." you could only hear snippets of sentences, and your eyelids felt heavy. "....have something....with sugar, preferably...." when you finally opened your eyes, you were no longer in the gym, but in inarizaki's nurse's office. "hey..." you turned, now noticing the other occupant of the otherwise empty room. "'samu... did I faint again?" his eyebrows rose. "again? like, you've done this before?" "yeah. happens a lot. 's fine though. was a little scary back there for a minute, though." "damn, I'll say. I've never seen someone so pale. and sweaty. and that's saying something, cuz post-practice 'tsumu is disgustingly moist." "'samu, I love you, but never say that fucking word again." "what, moist?" you cringed, grabbing at your ears, "ugh, yes! I'm already dying here and now you're nailing the final mark in the coffin." osamu gave his signature half-smile. "I thought you said you were fine?" you scoffed, "that was just to make you feel better. I'm gonna need lots of cuddles tonight to wave off my near-death experience." he let out a light-hearted laugh. "okay. plenty of that for you regardless of whether you're on death's door or not." he said, giving you a small peck. you pursed your lips. "I need you right now, though." his face split in a full grin as he slid next to you on the small bed. "anything for you darlin'."
✿ oikawa toru "please... please be okay..." you had been enjoying your regular weekday study session. it always went as follows: meet up after class, head off to aoba johsai's library, study (and perhaps get slightly off-topic over some vending machine snacks and drinks), and at last, go to volleyball practice (perks of being a manager!). "ok, ok, we should probably finally look at what we're supposed to know for our next english exam," oikawa said, still in between chuckles. "but toru... i can't go on without a drink..." you clutched your throat dramatically. "must... have.... beverage.... dying of.... thirst!" oikawa laughed again, "geez, fine!" he said, attempting to sound annoyed by your request (and failing miserably). "I'll go grab us something to drink. on me." he winked. "wow. what a gentleman. you really spare no expense, spoiling me with luxurious drinks from the beverage box of wonders! oh how lucky I am to have such a supportive boyfriend..." you leaned back on your chair, drying a fake tear of gratitude, while simultaneously stifling a giggle. "damn, ok. fork out the yen, then, babe." "nooooo~~~ I was kidding! I'm sorry you're the best ever in the whole wide world~~~ my little piglet oinkawa~" "ok now you're paying for my drink too." "I'm sorry!!!! I won't call you oinkawa ever again." "thank you-" "to your face." after at least 15 minutes of more bickering (and no studying) oikawa was off to the so-called beverage box of wonders, also known as a shitty-ass vending machine that was probably last refurbished in the '90s. oikawa was still laughing to himself as he rounded the corner to the library, drinks in his arms. "hey babe, are you finally studying?" he smirked, finally nearing your small alcoved study area.
- thud, thud. the long-forgotten drinks fell to the floor as oikawa rushed over to you. there you convulsed on the ground, your eyes white and pupil-less, and your mouth foaming, turning a slight twinge of pink. you let out small grunts, completely unresponsive. "oh my god, oh my god, hey, hey listen to me." oikawa was already in full-fledged panic mode, tapping your face with his hand. "oh my god, SOME PLEASE HELP HER!" the few left in the library looked over at oikawa, then at you, before beginning to run about. one was on their phone speaking to a 911 operator, another rushed out of the room. one kneeled alongside oikawa, checking helplessly for a pulse. "protect her head." a girl read out from her phone. oikawa immediately shed his jacket, placing it under your head which was hitting the ground rapidly to the incongruent rhythm of your convulsions. "check her bag, does she have any meds?" "SHE'S MY FUCKING GIRLFRIEND I THINK I'D KNOW IF SHE HAD MEDS!" oikawa shouted. he didn't mean to snap, but he felt so useless. were you hiding this from him? how did he not know you had seizures? were they always this bad? despite what he'd told the unnamed student, oikawa, jumped up, grabbing your bag and nearly ripping the zipper with the force he'd opened it with. no medication. "no meds." he said, quieter this time. a hand rested on his shoulder. "it's gonna be okay, man. look, she stopped." oikawa whipped his head over to you, chastising himself for removing his eyes from you for even a second. you were still breathing, but it was like you were in a deep slumber. by the time the EMTs arrived, however, you'd begun blinking your eyes lazily at your surroundings.
- "hey oikawa." you said, smiling. oikawa said nothing in return, his head in his hands. you sat there for a moment, taking in your surroundings. "wait a minute, where am i?" you felt a tickling inside your nose. at the touch of your hand, you realized you had a breathing tube hooked up you. another glance around the sterile hospital room showed your heart rate monitor and other cords wrapped up around the hospital bed. you laughed, "...and what's all this stuff on me?" "you had a seizure." oikawa said sharply, though not unkind. you stared at him once more in disbelief. "...really?" "yeah. I came back from getting our drinks when...when I found you lying on the ground, shaking. the doctor says you bit your tongue, which explains why the foam that was coming out of your mouth was pink. they want to do an MRI on you." "oh." you gazed down, then met his eyes again. "you... had to deal with that all by yourself?" "other people in the library helped me... though I don't think I was the nicest guy to be around. its sort of all of a blur." you smiled, "for me, too. I can barely remember what we were talking about before I woke up." oikawa's eyes widened, "really?" "yeah... but I think I'll be okay, as long as you're here." "this hasn't happened before, has it?" "no, not really. I mean, I've always gotten light-headed easily, which is sort of how I felt before I, ya know... went down... but never like that. I don't think. then again, if I wasn't here in a hospital bed, I think I would've just thought I fell asleep or something. it just feels like I took a long nap. still kind of tired, honestly." oikawa shook his head. "I'm never letting you out of my sight ever again." "oikawa, seriously. it's gonna be okay. I'm fine. nothing bad happened, right? I didn't die." "BUT YOU COULD'VE!" he shouted. "...you could've.." he said again in a whisper. suddenly, he got up. leaning over the hospital bed, he pressed his lips to your temple, leaving a soft kiss in its wake. "I just... I don't want to see you suffering. I don't want you to get hurt." "but you were there." "but what if I wasn't?" "but you were." you slid your hand over his own. "oikawa, it's gonna be okay, I promise. I'm a little scared, too, but... I know we'll figure something out, okay?" he let out a mix between a sigh and a laugh, "why does it feel like I was the one who had the seizure? some boyfriend I am, making you feel worse." "oikawa shush." you placed you index finger over his lips. "you're not allowed to talk about yourself in that way in my presence." he rolled his eyes, but his dimples popped out in a wary smile. "you're amazing, you know that?" you imitated deep-thought, your finger on your chin. "hmm... no, doesn't ring a bell." a full grin bloomed across his face now. "then I'll spend the rest of my life reminding you."

It’s slightly difficult to believe that you weren’t utterly enamoured with Steve Harrington the first time you laid eyes on him. You felt like the odd one out, surrounded by a gaggle of screaming, adoring fans.
You liked the music enough, so when Jen had suggested getting the tickets, you were completely up for it.
You had just never expected for the night to end like this.
Jen had been hand plucked from the crowd for some after party, the security guy had eyed you up and down, shrugged and just muffled a quiet whatever when she asked if you could go along.
There was a small group of other girls being ushered into the intimate room of the club, all looking incredibly similar. Buzzing with excitement, barely able to contain themselves when they saw the band lounging on the velour chairs. It just all felt incredibly forced and you knew exactly what the end goal was.
The room is murky, full of girls chattering, trying their hardest to grab the attention of at least one of the guys.
And yeah, maybe it was a little cool but you were tired and knew you’d end up having to find your own way home as Jen was gone. She’d wriggled her way onto the couch next to who you think is the drummer, batting her eyelashes and flashing him that signature pout that meant he was putty in her hands. He’s her usual type, long floppy hair.. the brooding kind.
“You not having fun?” a voice mutters into your ear, barely audible over the thumping music. It’s Steve, or the frontman, still in his stage get up with a cup of something in his hand.
“Oh, no I am.. I’m just tired,” playing it off with a small smile. You were not about to cockblock Jen and get the pair of you escorted out with your resting bitch face.
He nods, eyeing the undrunk glass of champagne in your hand, it was warm now, undrinkable, “you don’t drink?”
“Ah..” you do drink, just not open drinks that had been shoved into your hand by some barman the second you walked in here, “I just don’t… and don’t take offence, I don’t take open drinks from strangers,” baring your teeth in an awkward smile.
Steve laughs out loud, envying girls snap their heads in your direction, he takes the flute from your hand, “yeah that’s smart, you want another one? We can both watch him pour it,” motioning towards the bar.
You had desperately wanted another drink, just too shy and self-conscious to make a scene out of pouring this one away to do anything about it. Nodding graciously as you both stand from the cramped couch, walking up to the bar with daggers in your back.
“What’re ya’ having?” his eyes heavy on yours, leaning across the bar to get the man’s attention.
“What are you drinking?”
“Whiskey,” shaking the cup in your direction.
“Ooh maybe not,” scrunching your nose in disgust, peering over the bar at the collection of liquors they had. Basically, a bunch of expensive shit you didn’t recognise. “Can I just get a vodka lemonade?” shying away at your incredibly basic pick.
“Classic,” Steve nods, eyes on you but yours are glued to the bartender, watching eagle eyed as he fills the cup.
“You’re supposed to be watching too,” raising your brows with a smug smile, you could feel his eyes burning into the side of your face.
He scoffs, grinning to himself, “I think you’ve got that covered,” not once lowering his gaze. He’s confident, cocky even. Worlds apart from the usual guys you’d encounter, pathetic yet arrogant in the way they spoke to you.
You take the drink with a smile, the bartender walks away to the other end of the bar with so much as a grunt in response.
“I haven’t- I need to pay,” finally meeting Steve’s eyes again, baffled by the entire interaction.
His eyes glint with amusement, shaking his head, “not here.. it’s all paid for,” it’s endearing to him, perhaps he’d got used to girls just already expecting it.
“Wow..” your mouth contorting into a perfect ‘O’, “well, thank you for the drink,” sipping out of the straw with a smirk. If you’d known, you would’ve taken full advantage way earlier.
“Well that’s my pleasure, d’you smoke?” rustling in his pockets for the pack of cigs, leaning over to your height.
You eye the box, “only socially, but if they’re someone else’s cigs then yes, definitely.”
He bursts into a cackle, “well let’s go then,” placing his hand on your elbow, leading you through the room and out of the side door, passing the prying eyes of the other girls. You weren’t dumb to what was going on, any of those girls would jump at the chance to get led out of a club by Steve Harrington.
It’s chilly outside, your body shivering at the sudden drop in temperature. He hands you a cigarette, lighting his own and flashing a quick thumbs up to the large security guard who had taken it upon himself to stand blockading the door.
“Is this something that happens every night?” you ask cautiously, honestly not wanting to offend but rather curious about the answer.
He nods, blowing a cloud of smoke out of the side of his mouth, “most nights on tour, yeah,” his lighter in his palm ready for you to take.
“Hmm.. right,” lighting your own cigarette, running your thumb over the engraved metal. Peeking down at the cursive lettering, O.H. Passing it back to him without any questioning.
“You gettin’ jealous already?” one eyebrow quirked up, you’re thankful that he doesn’t take offence.
“Yeah totally,” playfully rolling your eyes. Hundreds, if not thousands of girls had been in your exact position before and yet you still found yourself getting giddy over his flirty words and infectious smile. Sickening. “Is it always like this? You don’t get tired?”
He cocks his head to the side, “sometimes yeah, but those boys in there are dogs yanno? Bad influences,” smirking as his lips part to exhale. Effortlessly sexy with his eyes hung low, heavy as they refuse to leave yours.
“Oh and you’re not?”
“I can neither confirm nor deny..” holding his hands up in innocence, closing the gap between you.
Pressing your lips together, focusing on the cigarette in your hand rather than his obvious advances. If you were going to be another notch in his bedpost, you were going to make sure he worked for it.
“It’s crazy because I just don’t believe you,” matching his smirk, taking another sip of your drink. It was becoming increasingly harder to resist his caramel tinted eyes and the gorgeous eyelashes that hung over them.
“Well,” he remarks, stumped by your stubbornness, “I guess I’ll have to prove it to you,” throwing the butt off into the distance somewhere. His hand reaching out to find your elbow once more, “shall we go in?”
You nod, dropping your own half-smoked cigarette, walking back into the crowded club with his hand resting on the small of your back. Falling into the first empty seat you could find, his large thighs squishing into the tiny section next to you, brushing against your scantily clad legs.
My God, if looks could kill, you would’ve been six feet under by now.
-
You chatter away all night, his lips brushing against your ear, feeling his breath over your cheek sent shivers down your spine.
Jen had already disappeared, flashing you a very reassuring nod before being bundled out of the club with her emo dream boy trailing closely behind.
It’s late now yet there were still hoards of girls milling around, hoping for one last chance with whoever was left. You’re pretty sure they had got the memo that Steve was simply not interested, watching as he hung off of your every word, passing you drink after drink while sipping on his own with intent eyes.
You hadn’t expected him to really care about your life but he had asked all the right questions, talking about your job and going back to school. Shit that you were sure he would forget the second you left.
The security guard from earlier comes over and whispers something into Steve’s other ear. He just nods before placing his hand on your shoulder, leaning into your ear, “I’m gonna go back to my room now,” sitting forward in the extremely cramped chair.
Your heart sinks a little, as shameful as it is, you’re a little disappointed. Attempting to quickly figure out how you would now get home without Jen.
“You wanna come with?”
Head pricking up at the question, staring at him for a brief moment before nodding. His pink lips curling into that smirk you’d become accustomed to. Smug and enchanting all at the same time.
You’re bundled into a car, security guards speaking in low voices to the driver, you can vaguely hear the word paparazzi be mumbled and then a bunch of directions. It’s all a bit too much, Steve is serious as sin sat next to you in the back, listening intently to whatever the security guard was mumbling into his ear.
You sit in amazement, contemplating if this maybe wasn’t the best idea until the door slams shut and the car sets off. Steve turns to you, rolling his eyes as his hand creeps onto your knee.
“Sorry.. apparently there’s paps outside the hotel so we’re goin’ the long way until they get rid of them,” sliding his hand north, squeezing onto your thigh. “We’re stuck in here for a little while longer, I hope you don’t mind?” the streetlights illuminating his face, remnants of his black eyeliner cling to his eyes.
“Jeez..” blowing the air from your cheeks, “must be exhausting.”
“I don’t mind it, I just don’t think my manager would appreciate waking up to the pictures.. ya know?”
“Not really.. but I get it, you don’t wanna look like a whore in the media,” returning the smirk he had been giving you all night, shifting in your seat to see him better.
“A whore? I prefer slut if I’m honest,” shifting closer, eyes lingering on your lips for entirely too long.
“You could be both,” tongue peeking out to wet your suddenly parched lips, “it wouldn’t be a lie, would it?”
His chuckle rumbles through his chest, “shut up,” free hand trailing upwards from his own lap to cradle your cheek, pressing his plump lips to yours with haste, eyes fluttering shut at the contact.
Your fingers curl into the soft material of his shirt, pulling his chest to yours, leaning back against the hard plastic of the door. You sorta hoped the paparazzi would linger a little bit longer just so you could stay exactly like this.
-
It’s a grand hotel room, they definitely had not skimped on the budget here. Nothing at all like the budget rooms your family had forced you into on vacation. It takes a moment for you to completely take in the entire room, a standard of elegance that you’d never seen before.
“You’re like.. rich rich then,” gawping at the tall ceilings like a child in a candy store.
Steve chuckles, placing a gentle hand on the small of your back, pulling your attention from the grand decor and back to him, “I’ve seen better.. d’you want something to drink?” motioning towards the stocked minibar.
“Please,” you remark, eyeing the sheer amount of variety in the tiny bar.
He pauses, coming around to stand in front of you, eyes narrowed, “kiss me and you can have anything you want,” lingering fingers on your hips.
The corner of your mouth twitches, “anything?” widening your eyes at the prospects of his proposition.
“Anything.”
-
You must’ve dropped off to sleep at some point as you wake back up to the feel of Steve’s hand on your ass, thumb playing with the lace band of your thong. He’s leaning against the headboard in quiet reflection. The bedside lamp is still on and you’re not sure if he ever slept.
“Do you ever sleep?” you ask groggily, shifting to face him with heavy eyes. His hand clamps around your thigh, startled by your voice.
“You scared the shit out of me,” turning his head to face you, the cold metal of his ringed thumb presses into your soft thigh, “can’t sleep.. happens sometimes after a show,” shrugging slightly.
Sometimes is an understatement. He hadn’t had a full night's sleep in God knows how long. Becoming accustomed to the shoddy hours he did manage to catch.
“Oh,” suddenly feeling guilty that you were here and potentially disrupting him, “I can go.. let you get some sleep,” looking up at him through your lashes.
“No no no no, stay.. stay,” pulling your leg over his waist, hand running up and down the supple skin, “it’s nice having someone here.”
You pull your body closer to his, shifting your weight to sit in his lap, knees positioned either side of his hips. This wakes him up entirely, moving up the bed to sit up, large hands gripping onto your waist.
“Oh? This is what we’re doing now?” he teases, clapping a mild slap to your ass cheek causing your cunt to brush against his already-growing bulge.
“Apparently so,” you snigger, glancing at the thin cotton of his boxers, they weren’t leaving much to the imagination, perfectly outlining the shape of his cock.
“Well great because I love this,” smirking as you clasp onto either side of his face. Carefully placing your lips on his, your tongue slipping past his liquor stained lips.
Mindlessly beginning to grind yourself down against him. He’s uttering a bunch of nonsense into your mouth, bucking his hips up to chase the feeling of your cunt against him.
“Fuck,” he grunts, hurriedly trying to slip his boxers down without making you move. Steve’s animalistic in the way he yanks your flimsy panties to the side, fisting his dick in the other. The sight alone makes a pathetic noise form in your throat, practically drooling over him.
“C’mere baby,” he instructs, thumb expertly holding the lace aside as you sit up on your knees, guiding himself through your folds and into your cunt, exhaling sharply as you slide down.
It takes a moment to adjust, he was cocky but fuck, did he have a reason to be. The tip of his cock already nudging uncomfortably close to your soft spot.
“You take me so well,” he proclaims, watching his cock disappear inside of you.
His words make you choke, joining him in looking at the space between your bodies. Feeling just about ready enough to move.
There’s a short knock at the door just as you begin to bounce, pausing with his dick still buried deep inside. Clutching onto his shoulders, sharing a disdainful look for whoever was looming on the other side.
“Nghh, what?” he calls out over your shoulder, sending daggers through the wood.
“Bro, you gotta condom in there?” the voice calls out, low, desperate.
You shift slightly, repositioning your knee and the sight movement is enough to have his fingernails dug into your hip, “holy fuu- no I don’t,” pupils dark as they flit from the door to yours.
That’s your cue to keep going, moving your hips up before slowly sliding back down, his cock filling you to the hilt. Biting down onto your bottom lip to keep from moaning though you’re certain whoever is on the outside isn’t clueless. The tour t-shirt you had slipped on is gripped between his fingers, pulled up your torso, exposing the supple skin.
“Aw fuck man, you’re no help,” the voice complains, banging the door one solitary time before skulking off, presumably to go and bother someone else for a condom.
Your lips twitch into a smile, throwing your head back as your hips gain pace, soft whimpers floating from your slack mouth. His hands are rough and commandeering as they hold onto your waist, setting the rhythm even when he wasn’t on top.
Steve growls, legs propped up as he begins to thrust upwards, trailing his callous palms down to your hips for better leverage. It’s then that you allow him full control, falling into his chest with your fingers knotting into his hair. Tugging at the caramel tinted tufts as this new position catches your neglected clit against his pubic bone, drawing a long cry out of your throat.
“You feel so- mmfuck, so good,” he squeezes out, quickening his pace, filling the room with the sinful sounds of skin on skin. His adam's apple bobbing up and down as his orgasm nears, sharp fingernails leaving red semi-circles in your skin, trying so desperately not to cum then and there.
He dares to look down at the space between you, the image of you wearing his shirt with his cock buried deep in your cunt makes him twitch, taking his bottom lip between his teeth in an attempt not to collapse.
“Right there,” you mewl into his ear, fast approaching your own orgasm, thighs becoming spent as he mercilessly slams into you from below.
It takes everything not to bite down on his tanned shoulder as your orgasm crescendos, desperate cries filling the room as you shudder around him. Sweaty palms now palming at his shoulders for some reinforcement as your legs give way.
Steve follows shortly after, sloppy final thrusts as your name echoes the tall walls, surrounded by a chorus of fucks and shits. His chest heaving, pulling you closer into his chest as he melts into the pillow. Graciously still supporting your weight with his large hands while your head still reels.
“You good?” he sighs breathlessly, drawing your face from his neck with a gentle tug of your hair, pulling your attention back to him.
You nod, smiling lazily as you sit upright once more, readjusting the lace thong that had been slung to the side. Pulling his boxers up his thighs without once breaking eye contact.
“Why don’t you just come on the rest of the tour with me?”
A giggle ripples instinctively, he probably said the exact same to every other girl that had been in this position alongside that same heavy, longing gaze he was flashing you. Christ, it probably worked on a few of them too. Give it a few more minutes and you would be convinced right along with them.
“I’m serious,” he blinks, tracing circles onto your hip, still completely enamoured with the way his shirt fell on your body.
“I bet you say that to every pretty girl you fuck,” still refusing to take him seriously, shaking your head at the ridiculous notion. You weren’t sure exactly how long he had been famous, but you were sure he wasn’t that out of touch with reality yet, right?
“Only you,” hands travelling to your bare thighs, “come with me,” thumb tapping a short rhythm onto your skin.
“You don’t even know me.”
“Well I want to, a tour bus is a great place to get to know someone,” he remarks, grinning.
Dawn now creeps in between the hastily shut curtains but you don’t dare to break eye contact. Dropping your hands from his shoulders as you ponder.
“I have a job and a house and bills and I don’t think they’d let me take that much vacation,” attempting to shut him down despite the fact his tactics were clearly working on you.
Endless possibilities run through your mind.. you could quit and beg for your position when you get back.. you’re sure Jen would look after your house, in fact she’d be very enthusiastic about you going and would probably volunteer.
“Fuck it..” he breathes, pressing his forehead against yours, “how much is your rent?”
“Steve..”
“How much?”
“Four eighty.”
“Easy, consider it paid,” he relents, staring up into your eyes through his thick black lashes. The flecks of gold that ran through his iris’ were persuasive enough to get you to just quit your job and run off on tour with him.
You sigh, chewing on the inside of your cheek. It would be totally and utterly stupid and irresponsible of you to do this but how could you ignore the niggling feeling in your brain that would never ever disappear if you didn’t.
“You’re being serious?”
“Deadly.”

I Will
Tumblr media
Second drabble! This one is more centered around the reader and Megumi's relationship as the reader raises him with Satoru. 1,408 words this time <3 It does end with Gojo getting sealed and there is some angst, and I promise that Gojo is actually in it lol! Again can be read as a stand alone fic or in a series, but how I'm writing them right now there really isn't an order to them.
Tumblr media
Megumi snuggled closer into your side. You two were on a blanket looking up at the stars while Satoru was busy picking up Tsumiki from her after school clubs. They had run a little late, and with it being fall, the sun had left the sky and there were more things to look up at.
You know that Megumi really enjoys the night and the stars. He has told you about every other constellation and the history behind them on nights like this before, but tonight, he was just silent.
“What’s on your mind, sweet boy?” Megumi let one of your hands gently comb through the spikes of his hair. He hated when Satoru touched his hair, but he found it easy to trust you and let you mess it up.
“I… I’m really… glad you and Gojo got together. And that you are raising us.” A soft smile spread across your face without you knowing as you pulled him a bit closer.
“Oh Megumi. We are also so glad to have you with us. Have I ever told you that you are my favorite person in the whole world?” There was a small pout on his lips that made his cheeks chubbier as he lifted his head more so he could look at you.
Megumi didn’t ever really share things like this often, and it worried you a bit. Was something wrong? He slightly tugged on your sleeve, and you let him fiddle with it while you waited for him to say something else in response.
“Am I really your favorite person? Like, do you, like, love me more than Gojo? And Tsumiki?” You laughed a bit as you lifted the hand that wasn’t in his hair to his cheek as you stroked it softly. He leaned into your hand a bit, unconsciously. Your heart melted a bit.
Satoru did that too. They were a lot more alike than either of them would ever admit.
“Of course. Don’t tell either of them, but you are. Satoru and Tsumiki have each other, so that means you get to be my little boy.” he giggled slightly as you started pressing small kisses all over his face and when your hands started to gently tickle his sides. “You will always have me on your side, ‘k?” Megumi nodded as a rare look of joy was spread over his normally grumpy face.
“I will be on your side too. When you and Gojo get divorced, I’m going to live with you!” the sparkles in his eyes and smile on his face as he said that made you choke out a disbelieved laugh.
“Divorce? Sweety, we would need to be married first.” he just hummed in agreement as he again began to snuggle in closer to you. He must have been getting cold, so you grabbed your jacket that was laying next to you and set it over him. He curled up a bit more so that way he could get more warmth.
“Okay. Once you guy’s get married, I will take your last name, that way you really are my parent.” Scratch what you said earlier about him being quieter.
And where was he hearing all of this stuff?
“If we do get married, we don't all have to have the same last name. If that is okay with you and your sister, you guys could keep your own last name. And Satoru's clan would be upset if I married and didn't take the Gojo name. But if that is the case, you can’t call Satoru Gojo anymore. Otherwise, it will get confusing.”
Megumi’s eyebrows furrowed at that. Satoru had been trying for a solid year to get Megumi to call him anything other than Gojo (ie- his first name, dad, great protector, strongest one.)
The closest he’s come is the nicknames bitch and idiot.
(You suspect he got that from his school- you don’t like it but Gojo insists that it has a good educational system. You suppose that the only other school option you have is jujutsu high, but even with Megumi’s family lineage and cursed technique you have been doing your best to keep both of the kids away from that life. Besides, Satoru and Shoko both have dirty mouths that sometimes slip in front of the kids.)
“I don’t care for Satoru. I think we should kick him out.” That was a lie, and you both knew that it was. Despite his harsh words, Megumi cared for his “surrogate” dad even though he was still incredibly salty to him.
“I don’t think so. I still love him.” He let out a sigh that suggested he was both too tired and sick of this constant talk of your boyfriend.
The two of you lapsed back into silence.
That was until the front door was heard opening and you heard Satoru’s voice yell out, calling your names.
“Honey, I’m home!” You untangled yourself from Megumi as you both got up to greet the other two at the door.
“Hey.” you took bag the he was holding (Tsumiki’s school bag) as Satoru put Tsumiki on the ground after previously being on his shoulders. She ran into another room, most likely the kitchen, as Satoru got down knees and opened his arms.
You watched as he wiggled his eyebrows towards Megumi, who was standing on the sideline.
Megumi shook his head as a look of fear took over his features.
Satoru’s grin widened as he moved closer, close enough so that way he could sweep his feet off the floor as he pressed a flurry of wet kisses all over his kiss.
This was probably bad. Too much affection would probably stop the poor boy's heart. But soon enough both of their giggles filled up the space as Megumi called out uncle. He took a few seconds to catch his breath and readjust his clothes, but once he composed himself he sent a glare at Satoru.
“This is why I hate you. You are my least favorite person.” he then turned around and stalked off to his room. Satoru turned to you, his smile still very much on his face.
“I guess he’s reaching that age. Do you think it will get any easier once they are teenagers?"
“I do”
His eyes softened as he looked into yours, and one of his arms circled around your waist as he pulled you towards him.
He pulled in for a soft kiss, one that made you feel every gallon of he has for you and your small family of four, along for the future you all had together.
Once he pulled away, he kept his forehead against yours as he swayed back and forth a little.
“I don’t know what I would do without you.” Those whispered words warmed your heart. It seemed like today was a day of sweet confessions.
Tumblr media
You didn’t know how this had happened.
You held Megumi close to your chest as you felt his tears sink through your uniform.
Nanami was dead, Nobara’s condition was very unstable, some old curse had taken control of the body of an old friend, and your love had been sealed into a box.
Shibuya had gone wrong in all of the worst ways, in ways that led to you comforting your normally emotionless son as he weeped for a person he had spent his young years scheming against. Tears slipped past your eyes as you pressed a kiss on to the top of his head.
Itadori had eaten a lot of fingers, the Zenin clan had come to an end, Tsumiki was now in the culling games, and Principal Yaga had died at the hands of an unfair sentence.
“He’s the strongest. He’ll get out, right?” Megumi whispered the words, and they were almost too muffled for you to hear, but you heard them anyway.
The way he said sounded so hopeful, just as if he was back to being a boy who was scared by thunderstorms but who knew it would end soon.
“Of course he will, sweet boy. He will always come back to us.”
But even if your words let go of some of the tension from your son's shoulders, you almost found it hard to believe yourself. You didn’t doubt your husband, but this was a whole nother situation you had never thought of or prepared for.
This was not the future you had wanted for your family.

For The Hell of It - Ateez X Tall!Chubby!Reader
Tumblr media
Crack!Fic & Idol AU
Genre: Fluff, Humour, Crack
Pairing: Ateez X Reader
Words: 7,178
A/n: So, this was inspired by my own frustrations as both a tall and chubby girl and always seeing indicators about how “small” the reader is compared to the love interest in reader insert fics. It’s time to pin THEM against the wall! They swim in YOUR clothes!! Hehehe As always, feedback is greatly appreciated! Enjoy~
Disclaimer: This fic isn’t meant to ‘call anyone out’ if they use these tropes or do these things the reader rants a bit about to start. This is just me writing out some of my feelings and expression emotions surrounding my own frustrations. If you aren’t tall or chubby, you’re still most definitely welcome to read this! It might put some things into perspective for you, who knows! Also, as a reference, I'm literally as tall as Mingi, so that’s how I pictured heights in this lol there may or may not be smuts to come of this later in the future, but that’s still undecided. ;)
Summary: San finally gets to live out one of his fantasies... yet, so do all of his friends.
A Friday night unlike any other. Well, for the most part. You finally had an evening where all of your schedules lined up, so you agreed to spend the night drinking with the guys. They were all celebrating a successful tour wrapping up, and the start of a month long vacation to rest after their most recent comeback. You, on the other hand, are celebrating a promotion at work, with a generous pay raise to boot.
You’re just happy you can all find jobs that you love, and still find time with each other to spend hanging out. You haven’t been best friends for years for nothing.
“No, I’m serious!” You continue, noticing you have every single one of their gazes transfixed on you right now. “I can’t count the amount of fics I’ve read that someone has sent me where it’s supposed to be a second person point of view, only for it to say some shit like, “you looked up into his eyes” or “character tilted your head up to meet his gaze”. Don’t even get me started on the “swimming in his clothes” trope.”
The way you snort is echoed by both Yeosang and Wooyoung.
“Literally, it’s so annoying when you’re reading something, get almost fully immersed in it, only for the “he towered over your small frame” to get thrown into the mix.” You continue, gesturing at yourself with your hands to emphasize your next point. “Like, what part of me is small?”
You laugh, incredulously, and most of them can only blink at you in shock.
“Listen, if I want to imagine myself, I don’t know, sword fighting with Zoro, I’m definitely going to be eye level with him.” You rant. “I’m literally taller than he is!”
“You read One Piece fanfiction?” Jongho asks, a teasing glint in his eyes as he takes another sip of his drink.
“There is a serious lack of Shanks reader inserts, and I am devastated,” you sigh, shaking your head.
“Wait, wait, wait,” Wooyoung leans forward, a mischievous quirk to the corner of his lips. “So, then, have you ever read any fanfiction about us?”
Your eyes gleam, “wouldn’t you like to know, loverboy.”
Mingi snorts out a laugh, right alongside Yunho as Wooyoung pouts.
“My one friend sent me a Changbin size kink one once,” you recall, scrunching your nose. “Weirder when you know the person, but like, I’m literally double his size. Was hilarious when my friend tried to explain to me how that was supposed to work when there’s no way in hell he could ever make me feel small.”
“Okay,” Hongjoong leans back onto the couch. “Don’t need to know that.”
“I can’t wait to tell Binnie about this,” Wooyoung cackles, already pulling out his phone to text said male.
“Like, I know it’s not the worst inclusion issue that reader inserts have,” you comment, shaking your head. “Don’t even get me started on the descriptions of skin tone or hair type. Yet, it just gets so frustrating when every fic you read isn’t as inclusive to you as you’ve been lead to believe.”
“Write your own,” Yeosang shrugs, offering a solution.
“I do!” You reply, and you watch as nearly all of their eyebrows disappear into their hairlines. “Though, half of the time it’s easier said than done.”
They nod, seemingly in understanding as you continue to rant.
“Literally, for once I just want to read a fic where the reader pins the guys against the wall.” You take another sip of your drink. “Have him wear my clothes for a change, and see how he swims in my hoodie.”
You fail to notice the way both Seonghwa and Jongho shift slightly in their spots, both swallowing thickly.
“And don’t even get me started on a lot of the chubby reader type fics out there.” You sigh, shaking your head once more. “I’m more than just my insecurities, but that’s all chubby people seem to be known for. Like, I’m fat, not ugly.”
The guys all tip their drinks in acknowledgement at that, agreeing with you wholeheartedly.
“Do you know how venerating it was when Resident Evil Eight came out, and everyone and their mom started simping for Lady Dimitrescu? Confidence boosting to the max. The fics that came out of it were immaculate.” You lift your hands in front of you for emphasis, touching your pointer finger to your thumb.
“Oh yeah, Sannie boy had much to say about her,” Wooyoung teases, and you notice the aforementioned man turn bright red.
“Hey!” He reaches over to hit Wooyoung’s knee harshly.
“Boy wanted to be pinned to the wall so bad he asked me to do it for him,” Yunho chuckles, only causing the younger male’s blush to deepen.
“Did you do it?” You raise a brow, pure mirth dancing on your features.
“No,” Yunho chuckles, shaking his head. “I didn’t.”
“Neither did I,” Mingi adds, grin stretching across his features and causing his eyes to crinkle at the sides.
You turn to Seonghwa who just shakes his head in response.
“Wow, some friends you are,” you laugh, turning your gaze to a pouting San in the next moment. “Still want to be pinned to a wall?”
Suddenly, he can no longer meet your gaze, embarrassed sputters escaping his lips. Yet, he doesn’t deny it.
“Wait, have none of you ever been pinned to a wall?” You look around, seeing as they all shake their heads in response. “Received a kabedon by someone you like?” More denials fall from their lips. “Then, I’m assuming you’ve never been lifted against a wall, either?”
“Can’t say that I have.” Jongho grumbles, lips tugging downwards in the corners as if the thought greatly distresses him.
“Seriously, you guys are missing out.” You take a sip of your drink. “Though, can’t say that I have, either. In fiction, though, apparently I’m a goddamn feather.”
A brief moment of silence passes over all of you as you collectively take sips of your drinks. Then, you’re turning to look at San.
“Do you still want to be pinned to the wall?” Your brow quirks as you ask him this for the second time, noticing how more than just San shifts slightly in his spot.
He averts his gaze, suddenly finding the coffee table between you the most fascinating thing. “Yeah.”
“Okay,” you stand, stretching your back out as you do so. “Let’s go.”
His head immediately raises to look at you, mild shock pulling at his features. It’s most apparent in the slight way his eyes widen, lips parting as he meets your gaze.
“I’ll pin you to a wall if you want,” you shrug stepping out of the sitting area and cracking your neck. “I am taller than you, and as long as you’re okay with it-“
“No fair! How come San is the only one that gets to be pinned to a wall by you?” Wooyoung complains, quite loudly at that.
“Oh, my offer is open to all of you,” you huff out an amused laugh. “If you want.”
The way you see them all straighten has the grin on your lips widening.
“I can’t promise I’m who you want to pin you, but just picture it’s someone else if you’d like.” You shrug. “But I’m willing if you are.”
Wooyoung physically hops off of the couch before attempting to male his way over to you. Only, he gets harshly pulled back down into his spot by Yeosang in the next moment.
You quirk a brow.
“The offer was for San first,” Yeosang grumbles, and though he tries to hide it, his cheeks begin turning the slightest bit darker as a blush dusts his features.
“So,” you trail off, tilting your head slightly to the side, “is that a ‘yes’?”
Both Yunho and Hongjoong quirk their bros at you, while Wooyoung nods eagerly. At the way Seonghwa, Yeosang, and Mingi blush, you know you have them, too.
“Well, if you’re offering,” Jongho shrugs, tossing the remaining contents of his drink back as he settles fully into the couch.
Wordlessly, Mingi pours him another one.
“Make it sound like I’m forcing you, why don’t you,” you snort, rolling your eyes. “Just say you don’t want to do it. You don’t have to give in to peer pressure, bubs.”
“Oh no, I’d love to see this.” Jongho grins, a sudden gleam to his eyes.
“Well, I’m first!” San immediately pops up onto his feet.
You grin, “someone really is eager.”
“It’s only been the biggest fantasy of his for-“
A hand gets clamped over Wooyoung’s mouth curtesy of Yeosang.
If your eyes could go any wider, you swear that they’d fall right out of your head.
“How do you want me?” San asks, moving beside you near the wall.
“Those are dangerous words, Sannie boy,” you smirk, turning fully to face him and noticing how he glances up into your eyes. “This is all about your comfortability though. The second you want space, or anything, you let me know. Okay?”
“Okay,” he nods his understanding.
“Do you want a full immersive experience, or just what you signed up for?” You ask, taking a step towards him while he takes one back.
The sudden dark look in your eyes makes his lips part, excitement strumming through his veins. At the way you quirk a brow at him, he realizes he still has yet to answer you.
“Uh,” how is his brain already this fuzzy when you haven’t even done anything to him yet? You’ve been close before, San clinging to you more often than not. However, it’s just so much different when he’s on the receiving end for once. So much more intense.
“Immersive! Immersive! Immersive!” Wooyoung begins to chant, followed shortly by both Mingi and Yunho. Even Seonghwa cannot help but to lowly add in his voice to the chanting.
San swallows, licking his lips. “Immersive.”
A cheer rising up from the other males in the room greets your ears, and it only serves to boost your ego for the moment.
Again, you quirk a brow. “Ready?”
A nod is all the confirmation you get before you’re bringing a hand up to firmly press it against the wall beside his head. The sound of your palm making contact is synonymous with the way his breath hitches as he watches you lean into him.
Slowly, you bring your opposite hand up to rest your fingers lightly against his chin. Your eyes hood over as you lift his head to make sure he’s staring deeply into your gaze.
You shift closer, the corner of your lips quirking upwards.
San’s breathing deepens, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallows again thickly. Briefly, his eyes dart down to your lips. A fact of which, you seem to notice.
“Quite a different feeling when you’re on the receiving end, huh, Sannie?” You lean in, breath ticking the shell of his ear.
A shudder wracks his entire body, goosebumps trailing up his arms as his chest just brushes against your own with each breath he takes. His lips clamp shut, suppressing the moan that wants to escape him.
“Do you want to wrap your leg around-“
The question hasn’t even finished leaving your mouth when you feel him lift his left leg to loop it around your side. Your hand immediately finds purchase on his thigh, and you can physically feel the way he trembles within your touch.
A chorus of ‘oh’s echoes behind you.
“Shut up!” San snaps, turning his head to glare at his group mates.
Unfortunately for him, the movement causes you to drop his leg, backing off of him shortly after.
San’s lucky to turn back around to face the others the moment you move off of him, for you fail to see the way he slaps the sides of his cheeks with both hands. The way he can feel his skin continuing to heat beneath his own touch only adds to the fire burning within his soul from these turn of events.
He knows you said he could picture anybody pinning him, but the fact that it was you somehow made it so much more intense. It was - you are - perfect in every way, and this has just made him realize that. How could you fit together so easily, like this was a position you had always been meant to be in with him?
The worst part is, it’s over, and he may never get to experience this type of euphoria again.
“Alright, who’s next?” You turn to the remaining males, not noticing the crisis San seems to be having against the wall behind you.
“Oh, me, me!” Wooyoung, again, eagerly pops up from the couch, only to be dragged back down by Jongho this time.
“I’ll go,” Yunho surprises you by standing to his feet. At the curious looks both Hongjoong and Yeosang send him, he’s shrugging. “What? I’m intrigued.”
“Alright, Beanpole,” you motion him over using two fingers in a ‘come here’ gesture. “You’re next.”
He mumbles slightly under his breath about you calling him ‘Beanpole’ again, stating how you’re no different, seeing as you’re practically eye-level with him. Though, with the way he eagerly steps over Mingi who still rests on the floor, you can tell he’s attempting to maintain his composure for now.
Finally, San walks back to his spot beside Seonghwa, almost as if in a daze. Only when the elder male pats the younger on the shoulder does he seemingly snap out of it. In the next moment, San sits back on the ground, pulling a pillow over his lap as he leans forward.
“If my back gives out, you guys are paying for my medical bills,” you casually comment, turning towards Yunho who leans against the wall.
“Are you planning to lift us?” Hongjoong asks, amusement dancing in his eyes.
“Possibly,” you shrug. “Depends on if you want the full immersive experience or not. I’ve got ideas for all of you.”
“Oh, so you’ve thought about this before?” Yunho’s familiar smug grin begins to pull at his features.
“Not necessarily,” you hum. “It’s just more interesting this way.”
“Then, please,” he meets your gaze, “immerse me.”
The moment those words escape his lips, you’re in front of him. Your hands gently grab his waist, before stepping directly into him. Your brow quirks just as you hear his breath hitch.
“When I tell you to jump, jump.” You say, a playful gleam shining in your eyes.
He nods.
“Jump.”
The moment your hands settle on the skin of his thighs, you press yourself fully against him. The way your chest feels rising and falling against his own sets his heart fluttering in his chest. Not to mention the way you quite literally have him pinned against the wall in your arms.
His eyes are wide, breath hitching in his throat as the full reality of the situation comes crashing down upon him. Never has he imagined that he could be the one being held against the wall like this. The way your eyes shine as they continue to stare into his own only make it that much more intense.
Yunho swallows as he hears you giggle.
Shit, he really wasn’t prepared for this.
“What’s the matter, Yuyu?” You tease, breath tickling the skin of his neck as you lean into him. “Tall girl caught your tongue?”
A few hoots and hollers are heard from the others as Yunho’s ears turn bright red. His lips part in answer, but no words escape him, too immersed in the feeling of your warm, plush body pressing against his own. The way that you’re suddenly slightly even taller than before as you hold him against the wall, his legs wrapped around your waist, has a pleasant shiver running down his spine.
A moment later, and you’re dropping his legs back to the floor.
You smile, patting the side of his gobsmacked face gently. “There ya go, beanpole. Now you know what it’s like.”
Turning around, you see Mingi practically rush to his feet. “Me next.”
You chuckle at his eagerness as Yunho slowly walks back to his spot, caught in a trance.
Just as San was before him, Yunho cannot help but marvel at the feeling of having you pin him to the wall. He never really thought about it before, and it was simply to sate that curiosity in his mind, but the fact that it was you, and that he enjoyed it immensely because it was you, is making his head spin.
He swallows thickly.
“Come on, Big Boy,” you extend your hand out to Mingi in offering, to which he gladly takes.
A giddy smile rests on his features as you guide him over to the wall. The eagerness you can sense radiating off of him is contagious, and you cannot help but to mirror his expression.
Your lips part in question, but Mingi beats you to it.
“Immersive.” He confirms with a firm nod, only causing you to chuckle lightly in response.
“I think it’s safe to say we all want the immersive experience right now,” Seonghwa voices, and you spare a glance back at the group to see all of them eagerly nodding at you.
“And here I thought I was touch starved,” you joke, a giggle to your words.
“Hey!” Wooyoung complains. “When you have a pretty lady offering to pin you to the wall, call us, and then see how you feel.”
Compliments from them, especially Wooyoung, are not unusual. However, something about this time feels different when he says this. Perhaps it’s the way he never breaks eye contact with you, or perhaps it’s the way you can just feel how sincere his words are. Still, it shocks you to your core.
You let out an amused puff, turning back to face the male trembling in excitement against the wall.
“Woah, there, Big Boy,” you grin. “Don’t be turning full Chihuahua on me.”
“Oh, leave the poor man alone,” Hongjoong joins in on the teasing. “He’s just excited.”
“It’s not like I’m giving him a lap dance.” You chuckle, stepping in closer as you watch Mingi’s face turn a bright red.
“Are you offering?” Wooyoung sounds just a tad too hopeful.
“Don’t even joke about that, Woo,” San throws the pillow in his lap at his friend.
“Yeah, cause you probably wouldn’t be able to hide your boner next time.” Yeosang deadpans.
A beat of silence.
Laughter erupts throughout the room as San turns bright red once more, stuttering out denials all the while.
“You won’t be laughing when it’s your turn!” He shouts, pulling his knees up to his chest as a pout pulls at his lips.
“Hey, no judgement here,” you grin, raising your hand nonchalantly in his direction. “Huge confidence boost when knowing you can turn someone on like that.”
San sticks his tongue out in Wooyoung’s direction as if to say, ‘so, there.’
You chuckle once more, taking the time to casually lean against the wall right beside Mingi using your one hand. The way you see his whole body freeze for a moment as his breath gets caught in his throat has a smug grin pulling at your features.
“By the way, are we still on for movie night next week?” You ask casually, completely ignoring the male beside you for the moment.
“I swear, if you make us marathon Star Wars again,” Hongjoong jokingly turns to glare at Seonghwa.
“Oh, give the guy a break,” you comment. “It’s his favourite series.”
“Have you seen the new Lego Death Star that just came out?” His eyes light up, looking around hopefully at each of the males scattered around the room.
Yunho nods, somewhat aware of what the elder male is talking about as the topic of Legos is discussed.
Out of the corner of your eyes, you notice Mingi finally calming down. Though, the slight pout that pulls onto his features has you leaning in to his ear.
“Don’t worry, Min, I haven’t forgotten about you,” you whisper, lips but a hairsbreadth from his ear. He shivers again, and you smirk. “Immersive, remember?”
In the blink of an eye, you’ve shifted your position to stand directly in front of the male. Your head is still buried in his neck, nose barely brushing against his skin as his breath hitches once more. Again, your hands settle on his hips as you lean into him, and he swears he can feel you smirking against the side of his throat.
The room goes silent, watching the scene unfold before them. The others seem just as caught off guard as Mingi is by your sudden shift in position.
Yet, why are Yeosang, San, Wooyoung, and Hongjoong suddenly all feeling jealous?
You pull away form Mingi’s neck only to move in impossibly closer. Your one leg slips between his own, nose brushing against his as the corner of your lips tugs upwards. In the next moment, you’re lifting a hand to cup the side of his face.
The way your thumb tenderly strokes along his cheekbone as you step away mirrors how your touch fades from his skin. A fact of which he doesn’t like all that much, body attempting to follow yours as you pull away.
“Someone likes attention more than I thought,” your voice is light, a teasing glint to your eyes as Mingi begins stuttering before you.
“You can’t blame the man,” Jongho takes another sip of his drink. “You’re acting hella intimate with us all of a sudden.”
“I said immersive, remember,” you playfully wink at the youngest, noticing how he hides the lower half of his face behind his glass in the next second. “If you don’t want it, I won’t do it. I told you, I’m not trying to make any of you uncomfortable.”
“Well, more for me, then,” this time when Wooyoung stands up, neither Jongho nor Yeosang stops him. “Make it as immersive as you’d like, Darling.”
“As long as you can handle it, Baby Boy,” the moment the words slip passed your lips, a chorus of ‘oh’s reach your ears again.
Just as Wooyoung happily bounds over to you, you notice Mingi trudging back over to his spot on the floor.
Mingi cannot help himself. He’s distracted, mind reeling with the revelations of the past events that he’s just experienced. The only problem is, now, he wants more. He wants you to hold him against the wall like you did Yunho. He wants you lean into him again, just like you did with San. Only this time, he wants to feel your lips on his own.
He shakes his head. What is he thinking? You’re one of their closest friends. He shouldn’t be thinking about all the other ways that you can pin him, and then how he can pin you to the wall. Perhaps, even to the bed…
“Oh, this is going to be good,” San shifts forward, eagerly watching as his best friend finally gets to experience what he did only a short while ago.
Wooyoung is eager. In fact, he’s the most visibly eager out of all of them so far. Well, that you can tell. He even goes so far as to reach out for you, back not quite pressed against the wall.
Before he can so much as touch you, though, you have his wrists in your hands, pinning him to the wall. You lean into him, body towering over his smaller frame as a choked moan manages to escapes his lips. From the way red begins to creep up his neck, you know that he did not mean for that to come out so suddenly.
“Did I say you could touch me?” Your voice lowers, head tilting to the side almost mockingly.
His eyes go wide, and you’re surprised how willingly he shakes his head ‘no’.
The corner of your lips raise. “Good boy.”
This time, the moan that escapes him is much louder than the first. You watch on in amusement as he begins squirming beneath your hold, hips shifting slightly against the wall as you keep the lower half of your body distanced from his. He whines slightly when he realizes you aren’t budging.
Behind you, the rest of the guy’s jaws drop.
“You were just waiting for this, weren’t you?” You hum lowly, feigning concern for his current state. “Desperately wanting someone to hold you like this against the wall?”
Wooyoung bites down on his bottom lip, nodding shamelessly.
You step in closer, and you can physically feel how his body melts into yours. You lean into his neck, lips ghosting the skin just below his ear. “Good boy.”
The moment you back away from him, Wooyoung lets out a whine in protest. As soon as you release your hold on his wrists, he reaches for you, but you easily dodge his hands. A chuckle falls from your lips as you see him pout.
“So,” Hongjoong’s voice draws your attention to his smirking features across the room, “you’re a domme.”
“What was your first clue?” You quirk a brow back at him, amusement dancing in your eyes. In the next second, you shake your head, noticing how Wooyoung begins to walk back to his spot in a haze, that pout still tugging on his lips. “When I want to be, I can do both. Not that any of you will get to experience either.”
“Not that we’d want to,” Jongho rolls his eyes playfully.
You point in his direction, “hurtful.”
“Never say never,” Seonghwa breathes, seemingly lost in his own world for the moment.
Your brow raises, mild surprise painting your features as he seemingly comes back to reality. The tips of his ears begin to go red once he’s realized what he’s just said.
“Well, I think our eldest here should go next, then.” Yunho claps the male on his shoulder, giving him a firm shove forward all the while.
“Yeah, come on, Hwa,” San encourages, a knowing gleam in his eyes. “It’s much more fun than it looks.”
“It looked to me like you were having a lot of fun, there, San,” Seonghwa’s eyes sharpen slightly as he pushes himself to his feet.
“I can’t watch,” Yeosang shakes his head playfully, standing to his feet and heading down your hallway in the next second.
Your eyes follow the movement, amusement shining within.
Seonghwa stepping towards you draws your attention.
“I’ve never been a fan of getting pinned to a wall.” He states, somewhat bluntly.
“I don’t have to pin you to the wall, you know.” You grin, nudging his shoulder lightly with your own.
“I thought the whole point of this was to ‘show us what it feels like’,” Jongho comments, placing his now empty glass onto the coffee table before him.
“There are other ways to encapsulate the same types of feelings,” you reply, placing a gentle hand onto Seonghwa’s shoulder.
“And just how do you plan on doing that?” He raises a brow curiously at you.
“Wrap your arms around my shoulders,” you begin, already moving to lean into him to prepare yourself for what you’re going to do. “I’ve seen videos of you guys doing this with each other, but,” you shrug briefly, “context.”
Seonghwa’s brow furrows, but he still does what you ask of him.
The moment you feel his arms wrap around your shoulders, you’re bending down and lifting him into your arms.
“Oh, Jesus, I wasn’t prepared,” you wobble slightly, now carrying him bridal style in your grasp. “How the fuck do you guys make this look so easy.”
“Are you saying I’m heavy?” Seonghwa pouts, resting quite comfortably in your arms for the moment.
“No, I’m saying I’m surprised my noodle arms haven’t given out on me yet without the wall for support.” You reply, a slight chuckle to your words.
“Should we start preparing those medical bills of yours?” Hongjoong teases, though you notice there’s a certain glint in his eyes that has never been there before. Well, not that you’ve ever noticed. A glint that has only appeared due to the fact that he’s witnessing you be so close with the others. Others that aren’t him.
“Hey, can I borrow a sweater?” Yeosang calls from down the hallway. “I’m cold.”
“Go for it!” You call back, shifting your hold on Seonghwa slightly as he peers out at the rest of the guys while still held in your arms.
“You know, you’re right,” he hums, nuzzling himself deeper into you. “This is quite nice.”
“It’s the old ‘Uno reverse card’,” you chuckle, setting him back onto his feet just as Yeosang comes meandering back into the room. “You don’t realize you want it until it’s happened to you.”
Yeosang stops just beside you, blinking at the way Seonghwa slowly returns to his spot. The way the eldest glances almost longingly back at you from over his shoulder while doing so does not go unnoticed by any.
Turning your head, you finally notice that Yeosang has opted to clothe himself in one of your largest hoodies. The material quite literally drowns him, the hem reaching the middle of his thighs.
“Now, this is what I’m talking about,” you motion to Yeosang’s body, nodding approvingly.
“Yeah, yeah, we all know you like Yeosang,” San rolls his eyes, cheeks puffing slightly as he rests his chin on his knees.
“First of all, I like all of you,” you reply, a playful snort escaping you as you smile. “No, I meant the clothing difference. This is what ‘swimming in their clothes’ means. It’s nice to be on the receiving end instead.”
“But you’re not the one wearing the clothes?” Mingi’s brow furrows, confusion shining on his features.
“You know what I mean,” you wave him off. “Literally, I can understand certain size kink fics now where the character fucks their love interest in their hoodie, and nothing but their hoodie.”
“Are you saying you want to fuck me in nothing but your hoodie?” Yeosang quirks a brow, a wide grin tugging at his features.
“Depends,” you hum in response, and you watch as Hongjoong spits out his drink, choking on the liquid in the next second.
“On?” He tilts his head curiously, blinking innocently.
“You wanna wear my thigh highs, too?” The way you see his eyes nearly bulge out of his head at your words has all of you bursting into laughter.
However, what you fail to see is how Yeosang goes quiet, cheeks flaring with colour.
“Well, this is certainly a game of truth or dare I never expected to get into.” Wooyoung cackles, tossing another drink back.
“I think we’re learning more about your interests tonight than in all of the years we’ve known you.” Yunho laughs, leaning back in his chair.
“You’ve never asked,” you shrug his words off casually, mirth dancing within your eyes.
“Who’s turn is it, anyways?” Yeosang grumbles, hiding his hands deep within the sleeves of your sweater.
“Yours.” Your response causes another round of heat to spread across his cheeks.
Out of the corner of your eyes, you notice Wooyoung nudging Jongho beside him. A male of which is clearly annoyed by the elder’s actions, but who nudges back, nonetheless.
“I don’t know how I feel about being pinned to a wall,” he raises his hands in front of himself in caution, backing away from you slowly.
The way his hands are hidden by the long sleeves of your sweater has you smiling lightly.
“If you don’t want me to, that’s quite alright,” you reply with a nod in understanding. “Like I said, I’m not about to force you guys into something you don’t want.”
“Oh, believe me,” Wooyoung chuckles, hiding somewhat behind Jongho as Yeosang takes a threatening step towards the younger male in warning. “He wants it.”
“I’ll believe it when he says it,” you tilt your head in acknowledgment in Yeosang’s direction, meeting his gaze once more.
The room goes silent, all of you turning to look at Yeosang once more.
“Uh,” he blinks, turning to look at any one of the other guys for help. Only, the way they simply watch on in glee lets him know they’re not going to do anything.
“Welp,” you turn back to the seven guys seated around your living room. “Maknae, leader, which one of you is next?”
“I’ll do it.” Yeosang’s voice from behind you draws your attention to him once more.
“Oh?” The smug grin on your face says it all, and he swallows thickly.
“Not against the wall, though.” He replies.
“That’s fine,” you reply with a nod, walking closer to him in your next breath.
You motion him closer, and he steps into you quite eagerly. Though, he does attempt to hide it, he doesn’t do a very good job.
“When I tell you to jump, jump into me,” you whisper lowly into his ear, and the way you feel him shiver as you lean away from him has that familiar smirk tugging at your lips. “Jump.”
Yeosang hesitates only a moment before quite literally leaping into your embrace. Your hands come to settle on his thighs, pulling him closer into you as he wraps his arms around your neck.
“Kind of different when you’re on the other end, isn’t it?” You smile, eyes crinkling as you watch him nod, somewhat amazed for the moment.
The way you can feel him tighten his legs around your waist has you chuckling, turning back around to face the other guys.
“This is… different than I thought it would be,” he mumbles into your ear, chin resting on your shoulder as he buried his face into the side of your neck. “It’s quite nice.”
The way you raise you eyebrows in agreement says it all, that same knowing look shining on your features.
Slowly, you lower Yeosang back to his feet, but he doesn’t release his hold from around your shoulders. Of course, you lean down slightly, allowing him to embrace you for as long as he wants.
“Another perk to it is simple things, like hugs.” You say, just as Yeosang finally pulls away from you.
Of course, you notice how he avoids your gaze now as he walks back to his spot on the couch.
“What do you mean?” Mingi inquires, knocking back the rest of his drink shortly after.
“Chest height.” You shrug, to which he immediately starts coughing at your answer. “What? You’re telling me you wouldn’t take full advantage of burying your face in your significant other’s chest if you could?”
You notice the gears in San’s head turning, before a devious look is shining in his gaze. “Does that mean I can have a hug, then?”
He starts to move, only for Hongjoong to reach over and quite harshly tug him back to the ground.
“Ow,” San begins to rub at his ass. “The fuck was that for.”
“You’re not as slick as you think you are,” Jongho rolls his eyes, standing up from the couch next.
“She didn’t deny it!” San counters, pointing in your direction all the while.
You shrug, “maybe next time.”
The way they all turn to look at you, eyes full of both mild surprise, but also excitement has you chuckling in response.
“If that excites you, you guys should all really try thigh riding,” you joke, and you notice how Jongho stumbles over his own two feet just before reaching you. “Oh, someone’s eager.”
“Shut up.” He grumbles, leaning back against the wall closest to you with his arms crossed over his chest.
“Is that a challenge?” You quirk a brow, turning fully towards him now as you take a step forward.
“I doubt you’re up for it,” he quips, the corner of his lips twitching upwards.
“You’re right,” you smirk, hand landing right beside his head as you lean into him. The way his breath hitches has your voice dropping slightly. “I’ve never really liked brats, but that doesn’t mean I’m not up for taming one.”
A mixture of loud, boisterous laughter, and pointed ‘oh’s can be heard from the others around you.
You huff, clearly amused by how silent Jongho gets. His arms fall to his sides as you step in closer, noticing how red begins to creep up his neck as he attempts to maintain his composure.
“What’s the matter, Baby Bear?” You feign concern, your nose brushing against his neck as you lean further into him. “All bark, and no bite?” He shivers as your breath caresses his skin. “Pity.”
His one hand moves to grab your hip, but you’re much quicker.
In the blink of an eye, you have his wrist pinned against the wall, your one leg sliding between his own.
“I wouldn’t try that, if I were you,” with the way your head tilts and the angle you find yourself in, you manage to be looking up at him through your lashes.
Jongho has never felt smaller in his entire life. The position he finds himself in with you, combined with your words and the way your looking at him has him melting into your touch. So, when his body sinks slightly, allowing himself to rest on top of your thigh between his own, you let him.
The worst part for him, though, is when you pull away.
Jongho just manages to catch himself before he stumbles forward, not expecting you to release him so suddenly. He can only stand there, staring intently at the floor for a good thirty seconds in order to compose himself as you turn back to the other guys.
“Goddammit,” he curses lowly. “How are you so good at this?”
You giggle, and the sound fills the room with a vibrance unlike anything before. Yet, why are their hearts suddenly racing?
“It’s nothing more than the shock of your first time experiencing something like this, probably,” you shrug him off, proud smile pulling at your features. “Or you’re all just secretly in love with me.”
This time, it’s Seonghwa who spits out his drink in response, choking on his breath soon afterwards. Comfortingly, Yunho pats his upper back.
“I’m just playing,” you chuckle, arms crossed loosely over your chest as you shake your head.
“Seriously, you were right,” Wooyoung voices, staring directly at you while Jongho slowly moves back to his seat. “I never knew I needed this until now.”
“San was right to want this,” Yeosang corrects, shooting a brief look at the aforementioned male out of the corner of his eyes.
“I’m glad I could be of service,” you salute lightheartedly, two fingers pressing to the side of your forehead before letting out a small click of your tongue as you flick your wrist.
“Hang on, you’re not done yet.” Hongjoong stands to his feet, and immediately, there’s a sudden tension that fills the room.
“Never said that I was, Captain,” you wink playfully, and you almost miss the way he loses his footing just as he steps over Mingi for the moment. Though, you chalk that up to him simply misplacing his balance.
The moment he steps before you, a silence unlike ever before fills the room. All of the guys watch on eagerly to see what you have planned for their leader, and just how he will react to it, too.
“So, I take it you want the immersive experience?” You quirk a brow teasingly.
“Give me everything you’ve got,” he replies, breathlessly.
“I don’t think you’re ready for that, yet, mister,” you poke his upper chest lightly, noticing how he tilts his head upwards slightly to meet your gaze.
“We’ll save that for later, then,” he grins, noticing how you slowly begin to back him up into the wall.
“Who said there will ever be a later?” You hum, tilting your head slightly as you watch him lightly hit the wall behind him.
His breath hitches as he looks up at you through his lashes, the corner of his lips tugging upwards slightly.
“I just did.”
This time, when you place your hand beside his head, it’s slow. The movements are precise, keeping your arm straight for the moment as you casually lean into him.
“Oh, really?” You quirk a brow. “What makes you so sure that I’ll agree?”
Hongjoong smirks, his one eyebrow twitching upwards slightly. “I’m positive you’re just as curious as I am.”
“Am I?” You hum, taking a step in closer to him and noticing how his breathing deepens. “Curious of what? Are you sure you’re not just projecting, Joong?”
The way you say his name, your lips curving around the one syllable, is like music to his ears. He cannot stop himself, he goes to reach for you, a shameless whine getting caught in his throat.
Like every time before, you’re quicker. Only, this time, instead of pinning his wrist to the wall beside his head, you raise it, holding it above him as you lean over his entire body.
“You boys are very touchy tonight,” you tut, shaking your head as you lean the slightest bit more into him.
“Can you blame us?” He replies, staring up into your eyes. “This is the first time we’ve experienced a temptation like this before.”
The room remains deadly silent, as if the other seven are fully agreeing with the words Hongjoong is speaking to you right now.
“Yes, the heat of the moment can do that to people,” you chuckle, stepping the slightest bit closer to him so that he can feel your body heat against his own.
It’s slight, but you feel him arch forward in your grip, pressing his body flush against your own.
“We both know it’s more than just that,” his tone is low, sultry as he melts into your touch.
The corner of your lip quirks upwards smugly, pushing him flush against the wall.
“Is it really?” You feign innocence, leaning in to press your forehead against his own. Your noses brush. “I guess we’ll never know.”
In the blink of an eye, you’ve stepped away from him, releasing his wrist and letting it fall back to his side.
“Well, that was fun!” You chirp, completely unaware of how Hongjoong’s dark gaze never leaves your figure even for a second as you move to finally return to your own spot.
He licks his lips, clearing his throat lightly. Taking a step back towards the seating area, he blinks, refocussing his vision. The sound of laughter reaches his ears, and you all continue on as if nothing happened.
Yet, how can they just act like nothing happened when you’ve fulfilled desires within them that they didn’t even know that they had? This has certainly made them all change the way they view things, especially the way they see you.
All that they do know, is that now, they want you. In ways more than just a friend should.

Ok I got a bit of a doozy. What if Leon was told his s/o was an umbrella scientist. But through telling him, they start breaking down because the research they did was SUPPOSED to go towards curing diseases and helping the world. Like they were doing research for good but it was essentially stolen from them and twisted to become something destructive. Once they found out their work was stolen, they left umbrella.
I’m a grad student working in a lab and I also have Leon brain rot lol.
OKAY OH MY. i wrote this on my break and i’m so sorry it’s so short i had like 5 different routes to take for this </3 i feel like it’s so bad
edited note:: i am for sure writing more of this when i get home.
Coming home from the longest day ever- you work with Rebecca and today specifically made your head hurt so bad.
When you walk into yours and Leon’s shared apartment it’s so dark, the sound of people talking being heard from Leon’s office, causing your eyebrows to raise as you put your purse and jacket on the hook. Noticing another jacket next to Leon’s?
You pushed your shoes off, walking down the hall to his dimly lit office pushing the door open. Claire and Chris?
You felt their eyes turn to you as you checked behind the door trying not to knock anything over. Leon didn’t even greet you, his stare empty and the same with Claire and Chris.
“What’s wrong?”
You asked as you shut the door behind you, noticing they had multiple open files all over Leon’s desk. Claire reached over pressing play on the tape recorder they had laid out.
“Day 17, this is professor (Your last name).. I can’t do it. And i can’t figure out why they want this virus so bad. I made them a vaccine and they have yet to give it back.. The T virus will cause mass destruction.. and I created it.”
Your face was white as a ghost, staring at the group, Leon’s hands digging through the paperwork. He looked so overwhelmed and it broke your heart.
“So what? You’ve been a lie this whole time? You’ve heard what me and Claire went through with Raccoon City yet you can sleep peacefully next to me knowing you caused it.”
Leon’s words made tears build in your eyes as you shook your head, you had nothing to say. Or at least it wasn’t coming out, you walked over to the desk digging through the files yourself and god they had so many. Every research you’ve ever taken part of, every vaccine you’ve helped create, everything. You took in a deep breath as you pulled the T virus file, laying it on top of all of the others.
“They took it from me. You heard it on the tape, you think I would’ve let them take it if i knew what they were creating? We have to create a virus, to make a vaccine. Oh come on you guys know how science works”
You rambled as you stared over at Chris and Claire.
“I wanted to tell you guys.. I left umbrella, after the events of Raccoon city, they threatened my life. And when I was finally ready to confront you guys.. they crumbled..”
Leon flipped through the files again shaking his head seeing your ID shots.
“You guys have to believe me.. They lied to most of their workers just like they lied to you guys, to the world.”
They didn’t seem to understand, or even care. Your heart rate sped up at the thought of Leon and Claire in Raccoon city, you felt the vomit creeping up your throat as you pushed your way passed the desk, running to the bathroom. You heard the sound of running down the hallway as you threw up into the toilet bowl, before feeling Leon’s fingers run against your neck to push hair behind your ears.
When you finished, you collapsed back into Leon’s arms, grabbing at him sobbing about how sorry you were. Leon nodded his head as he helped you stand, pulling at the toilet paper to wipe your face as he nodded.
“It’s okay, I believe you.”

You were in the break room at the Bulletin the next day brewing your morning coffee and wondering how you were going to tell Ellison that you had bombed the interview with Chef Murdock when Skyler, your work BFF who handled the Lifestyle section of the paper, poked her head in. "There's this incredibly hot guy out front asking for you," she said excitedly. "Do you have a secret boyfriend you haven't told me about?"
You shook your head with a light laugh, wondering who it was that had come to see you. "No, definitely not. Bring whoever it is to the conference room and tell them that I'll be there in a second, will you, please?"
"Sure thing!"
After Skyler left you finished making your coffee then headed to the conference room, freezing in the doorway as you spotted the absolute last person you had ever expected to see again. "Chef Murdock."
Chef Murdock's head turned towards you, the red lenses of his glasses reflecting your look of shock at seeing him. Today he was wearing jeans and a light gray T-shirt, which made him seem vastly more approachable than the red chef's coat and black pants of the previous afternoon… and inexplicably even hotter.
"Um, hi," he said. "May we talk?"
You nodded warily. "Sure."
You shut the door behind you, purposely not asking him to sit. "So, come to berate me some more?"
Chef Murdock had the decency to look chagrined. "Actually, I came to apologize for my behavior towards you yesterday and ask if you'd be willing to reschedule our interview."
Your eyebrows raised. "You came to apologize ?"
Chef Murdock nodded and held a covered container out towards you. "This is for you."
You took the container and peeked inside. "You brought me tiramisu?"
Chef Murdock shrugged, a shy smile forming on his face. "I was kind of hoping you'd accept it as a peace offering."
"It's not poisoned, is it?"
Chef Murdock chuckled. "Let me just say that I'm pretty sure I didn't accidentally dust the top with cyanide instead of cocoa powder when I made it this morning."
You couldn't help but smile at Chef Murdock's joke. "Well I'm no expert on poisons, but I'm pretty sure cyanide isn't supposed to be brown."
Chef Murdock's expression grew serious as he said your name. "I was extremely rude yesterday and my actions towards you were uncalled for, and for that I am very deeply sorry and hope you'll forgive me."
You studied him for a moment. He seemed genuinely contrite, despite you not being able to see his eyes.
Finally you sighed and set the container on the conference room table. "In that case, I accept your apology… and your 'sorry for being a pompous asshole' tiramisu."
Chef Murdock huffed out a laugh. "Thank you."
"Will this afternoon work for you for our interview? Same time as yesterday?"
Chef Murdock nodded. "Yeah, that'll work."
"Great." That would actually give you time to prepare.
Chef Murdock hesitated. "So I'll… see you this afternoon, then?"
You nodded. "Here, I'll walk you out. Let me just put this in the refrigerator first."
You quickly went to the break room before returning to escort Chef Murdock back to the elevator. "Want me to just call the restaurant when I get there?"
"Oh, actually, let me give you my cell number," Chef Murdock replied. "You can text me when you're nearby."
"Okay." You pulled out your phone and added Chef Murdock as a contact, typing in his number as he recited it to you. "I'll see you this afternoon, then."
Chef Murdock nodded. "Thank you again."
"No problem."
You waited until Chef Murdock left then went back to your desk to begin your research.
Skyler immediately ran over to you. "So who was the hottie?"
You glanced up at her. "Oh, that was the chef Ellison asked me to interview yesterday. Something had come up so he needed to reschedule."
Skyler huffed out a laugh. "I wouldn't mind sampling his cuisine, if you know what I mean."
You shook your head with a smile. "I've gotta get some research done for my article, so I'll talk to you later, 'kay?"
"Yeah, I've gotta run anyway. I'm covering some fancy meeting that some rich old ladies' society is holding this morning and I don't want to be late."
As Skyler went to grab her purse from her own desk you ran another internet search on Chef Murdock, scrolling through the search results and pausing as you found a link to an old Bulletin article.
Local Boy, 9, Seriously Injured in Heroic Rescue Attempt
An attempt at saving a life changed another forever yesterday when Matthew Murdock, age 9 of Hell's Kitchen, was seriously injured after he prevented another person from being hit by a vehicle. Witnesses say that the boy came to the rescue of a man when a chemical truck overturned, causing an as-yet-identified substance to splash into the boy's eyes.
"He's a hero," said one eyewitness. "Didn't even hesitate, just jumped right into action to push that man out of the way."
"He should be commended," said another, "and his parents applauded for raising such a brave young man."
The boy's father, local boxing legend 'Battlin' Jack Murdock, declined to comment other than to say that his son is in critical, but stable, condition.
You remembered Chef Murdock saying that his father had passed shortly after his accident, so next you looked up Jack Murdock, sucking in a breath at the news headline on your computer screen.
Local Boxing Legend Killed In Apparent Mob Hit
You quickly scanned the article -- apparently Chef Murdock's father had been beaten and shot after a boxing match against Carl 'Crusher' Creel and his murder never officially solved, although it was suspected that mob boss Roscoe Sweeney had been behind the hit.
You huffed out a breath. How awful. It was no wonder that your statement about how proud Chef Murdock's parents must have been of him had touched a nerve.
You made a few more notes and wrote down some other questions to ask Chef Murdock, looking up as Ellison stopped by your desk.
"How'd the interview go yesterday?" he asked.
"Actually, something came up while I was there and Chef Murdock asked me to reschedule," you replied, deciding to leave out the details of what exactly had happened. "I'm meeting with him this afternoon instead."
Ellison nodded. "Okay, excellent. Let me know how it goes."
"Will do."
You finished up some other articles that you had due so you could focus your attention on Chef Murdock, completing the last one right as it was time to leave.
You grabbed your tiramisu out of the staff refrigerator and told Ellison you were leaving to go to Daredevil.
You made a quick stop at home to drop off your dessert since it was on your way then headed to the restaurant, feeling much more prepared than you had the previous day.
Tumblr media
"So how'd it go?" Foggy asked as Matt entered the kitchen at Daredevil. "Were you able to reschedule the interview?"
Matt nodded. "Yeah, we're meeting this afternoon. Same time as yesterday."
Foggy huffed out a relieved breath. "So how much did you have to grovel?"
Matt chuckled. "I made tiramisu for her this morning."
Foggy whistled. "Wow, pulling out the big guns."
Matt moved to wash his hands and put on an apron. "Come on, we've got a lot of prep to do for tonight's service."
He and Foggy set to work prepping ingredients for that night's dinner service, Matt's mind occasionally wandering to you and his upcoming interview.
He had spent a few hours after dinner service the night before listening to transcripts of previous articles you had written, and he could tell that his initial assessment of you had been completely wrong. Your attention to detail in your articles showed that you clearly took pride in your work and had painstakingly researched each and every subject you had written about.
"...If you keep cutting up that basil you're going to get pesto," Foggy said suddenly.
Matt stopped cutting, realizing that the basil he was supposed to be chiffonading was now pretty much macerated. "Shit. "
Foggy chuckled. "You okay, buddy?"
Matt shook his head, trying to clear it. "I'm fine, I'm just…"
"Nervous?"
Matt remained silent.
Foggy patted him on the shoulder. "Just turn on that Murdock charm of yours and you'll be fine."
Matt's phone chimed in his pocket. "New text message."
Matt fished his phone out and tapped at the notification.
"Hi, Chef Murdock, just letting you know that I'll be by the restaurant in about 5 minutes, " his phone read out to him.
"I'll finish up here," Foggy said. "You got this, Matty."
Matt huffed out a breath. "I hope so."
He took his apron off and went to wash his hands again, then headed up front right as you were walking up.
He unlocked the door and let you in, noticing your heartbeat pick up nervously. "Hi, thanks for coming."
"Hi," you replied.
Matt gestured to a nearby table. "Here, have a seat. Would you like something to drink?"
"Um, some water would be nice, please."
Matt nodded. "Sure thing. Just a second."
He returned to the kitchen and grabbed a couple of water glasses and a bottle of cold, filtered water before returning to you.
He poured some water into one of the glasses before setting it in front of you. "Here you go."
"Thank you," you replied.
Matt poured himself some water before setting the bottle down on the table and taking the seat across from you.
He could hear you tapping at your phone screen. "Um, do you mind if I record this? It helps me with direct quotes and stuff."
Matt shook his head. "No, that's fine."
"Okay, great." You tapped at your phone screen and stated your name, the date, and the time. "Interviewing Chef Matthew Murdock at Daredevil, take 1."
You cleared your throat. "Chef Murdock, thank you for taking the time to meet with me."
"It's my pleasure," Matt replied.
"So to start, why don't you tell me a bit about yourself."
"Well, I was born and raised by my dad here in Hell's Kitchen," Matt said.
"He was a boxer, right?" you asked.
Aha. Definitely did her research today. "That's right, 'Battlin Jack Murdock'. He didn't have the best fight record, but to me he was the greatest boxer of all time."
"So what made you want to be a chef?"
"I was in an accident when I was 9," Matt said. He wasn't sure how much you knew about the details of it but decided to just go ahead and give you the full story -- well, almost the full story. "A chemical truck collided with a car and overturned, and there was this old man who would have been crushed if I hadn't pushed him out of the way. Unfortunately while I was pushing him out of the way I fell and some of the chemicals got into my eyes, which blinded me."
"I'm very sorry to hear that," you said sympathetically.
Matt shook his head. "My palate became very… sensitive after that and nothing anyone else ever made tasted right."
His other remaining senses had also become extremely sensitive, but that wasn't relevant to the current conversation. "Anyway, my father died when I was 11 and I was sent to live in an orphanage run by the local diocese." He smiled wryly. "You can imagine how the food was there."
You let out a light laugh. "Oh I can guess, especially for a picky eater."
"Well the nuns quickly got tired of dealing with my dietary needs, but then again they weren't going to let me starve so eventually they hired someone to teach me how to make my own meals."
Stick had taught Matt how to cook using his instincts and use his remaining senses to identify the freshness of ingredients but had abruptly quit when Matt had made him a cake as a thank-you. Clearly you're not learning, he had said after tasting it, in which case I have nothing more to teach you.
Matt shook his head. "I started developing my own recipes after that, then after I graduated high school I decided to enter culinary school, where I met my business partner.
"After we graduated we were both offered positions as line cooks at Landman & Zack over in Manhattan, but we decided to open a restaurant together instead. We stayed open a few years then closed it and reopened as Daredevil."
What he didn't say was that Nelson and Murdock had been a mild success until one bad review had nearly tanked both Matt's reputation and his friendship with Foggy.
"Daredevil is a very interesting name for a restaurant. How did you come up with that?"
"One of my college professors referred to me as a 'daredevil' chef once, and it kind of stuck with me." Matt's lips quirked up into a smile as he waved a hand around. "And after all, we are in Hell's Kitchen…"
You huffed out a light laugh, your demeanor becoming more relaxed. "That's very true."
You continued asking him questions, both of you relaxing more as the interview went on.
Matt was telling you a story about the time one of his culinary school classmates almost set their hair on fire while trying to flambé some bananas for a bananas foster cheesecake when he heard Karen walk up.
"Hey, Matt," Karen said. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but we're opening in 10 minutes."
You let out a slight gasp. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize how long we had been talking. I didn't mean to take up so much of your time, Chef Murdock."
Matt shook his head. "It's quite alright, I finished most of my prep work before you arrived."
You stopped your recording and gathered your things. "Thank you for your time."
"It was my pleasure," Matt replied honestly. "Let me know if you need anything else from me for your article."
"Okay, I'll be in touch if I do."
"Have a good evening."
"You too."
Matt waited as you left, your heartbeat growing fainter the further you got from the restaurant.
Karen turned to him. "Now, was that so bad?"
Matt shook his head. You had been professional, yet warm and welcoming -- which he still wasn't sure he deserved after the way he had treated you the previous afternoon. "No, actually, it wasn't."
Karen nudged him with her elbow. "See? I told you. Now come on, let's get ready to open."

TB S2 EP 13 THOUGHTS!
True, Omega has gotten really good with being a soldier. She's staying cool in high tension situations, she has good aim, thinks on her feet and outsmarts her opponents easily. But Phee is right, Omega hasn't gotten to just be a kid for a while now. She deserves to have a proper childhood
LOVED seeing Hunter's enhanced senses at work. Sometimes I catch myself going "froce sensitive?" just because he's so hyper-aware
^this is just based on him grabbing that dudes wrist when he tried to take his money
THAT MOMENT WHEN WRECKER GOT UP WHEN THE GUY WAS ALL "shoulda brought more muscle" BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR BITCH
Phee shooting that guy under the table like damn girly alright
"Yes, I am playing against myself. It is the only time this game is a challenge." YES BABY TELL 'EM ALL HOW SMART YOU ARE🤍🤍🤍
"We never had such a thing. I do not see the issue." Oh,,,, oh Tech Baby. Stop telling people how dumb you are🤍🤍🤍
Hunter did look like he was mulling over Phee's words
CID CAN GO AND :)
"Our mutually beneficial agreement wasn't so beneficial,,, mutually." Hunter your himbo is showing babes
HHHHH OKAY IT'S SUBTLE BUT!!! When Phee types in the coordinates to Pabu, her hand lands on Tech's shoulder. He briefly glances down at it, somewhat skeptically, and then she lifts it off again, before patting his shoulder and his eyes widen a little bit and maybe im too invested in this ship and I'll be quiet now bye
PABU IS SO PRETTY OMG
I LOVE that Phee isn't like a pirate-pirate. Like I thought she was shady but dang, she's just taking back people's heritage that was stolen from them and I LOVE IT
"Got some competition." WAAAAHH I KNEW IT
"Welcome" "Welcome" "Welcome" "Welc-" "PUT IT THERE" WRECKER I LOVE YOU
"Lots of food, drink and general merrimaking," points at Tech, "You'll probably hate it. It'll be great." Tech rolls eyes
^YOUR HONOUR I LOVE THEM
NO BECAUSE BECAUSE Tech is the sassy b in the squad and Phee switching her flirting technique from "hi there good looking" to "lol dumb b" IS EXACTLY WHAT OUR BOY WANTS AND SHE FCKING KNOWS IT
AND THEN IT WORKS BC TECH TURNS AROUND TO LOOK AT HER WHEN THEY SPLIT AND HE'S LITERALLY THE ONLY ONE AND THEN HE HAS THE LITTLE SMILE AND DOWN ANGLED FACE AND WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Tumblr media
"I have not heard her laugh like that in some time." Heeeeessss learniiiiing (that Phee was right lol)
"As a father, you couldn't ask for a better place to raise a child." Okay, glad we're all on the same page. Like, I'm glad all we gotta do is take one goddamn look at Hunter and just go "Dad."
I know it's supposed to be a joke again, but like Wrecker being full for the first time? That's so sad. Imagine going to bed hungry EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Being full for the first time is something to remember, Tech should be writing it down.
Omega and Lyana bonding on the boat was so sweet!!
Phee getting Tech away from his datapad to get him to appreciate life's beauty IS MAKING MY HEART SO FULL
"Pretty spectacular, right?" <- Phee using the word spectacular, even though its not in her usual vocabulary, because she's generally more succinct and down to earth, but it's totally a word Tech would use
"I suppose... that is... one way to... quantify it." <- Whenever Tech talks about data or research (topics without emotional involvement) his sentences flow nicely and evenly and he gets about 100 out in 2 seconds. Whenever he has to talk about emotions or emotions are involved in the conversation suddenly he gets quieter and his sentences have less of a flow. Translation to 19.07. Eura gig stream under cut (10mins)
Banter starting from 01:40
You guy there, were you going skiiing? You have the glasses on your head, or did i see wrong? You're a good-looking crowd. (girl screaming JEREEE) what do you want? I'll give attention to you too. It's like a fucking kindergarten. Pikku Silja is there like (raises his arms) Are there underage ppl here? Hopefully not. You came with your dad's ID? Did it truly work?
You're wearing a Käärijä shirt, lovely. It's like kindergarteners, "look I have a new Gogo figurine" I don't even know what's a gogo-- Have you been eating sausage? The stall, full of sausage. How much is 3x3, sign it for me. How much is it? That doesn't make sense. I'm not going to become a teacher.
Hey, people on the back. Is there a reason you're over there and not on the front row? The man was like (nods) women. -- What do you have there? Your own [smuggled] drinks? No? Fuck, you drink a lot. Huh? For me? I don't drink. I'm an absolutist. Think about it, I've never touched that. Bess was performing today, right? Let's not tell her, but Bess was like "remember to drink water" no, just drink booze. At Käärijä's gig the rules are different, 2%/per mil at least when you're here. My show is so awful I don't want anyone to remember anything about it. Just kidding.
From 3:52 : I have this super fan here - am I allowed to tell? I will. You're not going to be offended? She has been on some 31 gigs this year. That's fucking sick, I don't understand why. But, she sent us an email, think about it, I have an email too, you don't- she sent that..what was it? That I shouldn't mock myself. Something like that. Think about it, how sympathetic. I'm mocking myself and she's like "don't do that! You're really a good, lovely person" I'm not! But I appreciate it, we talked this over with the band. Because of her, we've been going to therapy.
One thing that's fucking awesome about this place is that the internet isn't working. The guestion is, the TVs probably don't work either, so how the fuck did you watch Eurovision? How? Was there a shared TV? (points on the sky) "Oh, there's Käärijä". Do you guys even have phones?! Nokia 3510i, you look like you have that. Or do you? - You came from Tampere? You should've at least said you're from around here [Eura]. How many of you are from here? You know, one day- (dude shouts Urheilujätkä) Shut the fuck up. -when I have the money, I'll buy everyone who lives here a phone, I'll buy an internet here, some fucking tower right there. On the phone there will be apps, you can watch por-, Käärijä's instagram, it's an app too. -- Okay, let's continue, this thing doesn't make any sense.
Paidaton riehuja starts: How many will take off their shirt? -- (cute bit of the front row girls lol "It's coming off! For real? Yes, you're supposed to take it off! I didn't know that you have to take your shirt off!")
I'll do a little bit different speech because we have the superfan here. And sometimes I was like, I didn't compliment my own body. So do you know what I'll say now? Fuck, I'm in a good shape. Before the eurovision shit, I was like this (sucks belly in), but after eurovision when money started coming in… But the saddest thing is, I've drank all the money and I got nothing but the belly left. But at least I got some memory. Let's go.
After paidaton riehuja: Think about it, for the first time I saw boobs. I won't say if it was a man or woman's boobs, but I saw them anyway. And they were great!

what we used to be | XV
Tumblr media
Pairing: Eli Moskowitz x Fem!Reader
Summary: You didn't think joining Miyagi-Do would end your friendships. But thankfully, you're making new ones.
Warnings: dojo rivalry, karate training, swearing, mentions of heartbreak
Word Count: 1.8k
A/N: A short chapter but its a good one! Have ch 16 done but I'm gonna give it some time to post cause then it'll give me time to edit ch 17. But we're closing out season 2 with ch 17 and season 3 is next! I already have up to season 4 planned out and a little written, still brainstorming for season 5 and even s6 lol!
Thank you to those who already reblog and comment, I see you and I love you all for it!
I don't consent to this work being copied, translated or reposted.
You frowned as another message to Aisha and Tory went unread. A few days ago, they were blowing up your phone, asking if you were okay. You were guilty that you didn’t respond, but you were going through so much heartbreak. You didn’t want to bother.
Now that you were part of Miyagi-Do and you felt happier, you decided it was time to reach out, the only thing—your friends weren’t responding.
Defeated, you walked through the dojo, phone pressed against your ear as it rang. Relief filled you when Aisha answered.
“I’ve been worried sick, you guys haven’t been answering,” you began.
Two voices scoffed.
“So now you’re worried?” Tory asked in disbelief.
“Of course, I am,” you furrowed your brows. “You guys are my friends.”
“Funny, I didn’t know traitors are classified as friends,” Aisha accused.
Confusion filled you. “What are you talking about?”
Tory muttered under her breath and she was annoyed, allowing Aisha to answer.
“We saw you hanging out with Miyagi-Do the other day and we confirmed with Moon that you joined,” Aisha said.
“We thought you just left Cobra Kai, but joining the enemy?” Tory questioned, disappointment filled in her tone.
“I didn’t think I was going to join Miyagi-Do,” you defended.
“So what? You accidentally joined?” Aisha scoffed. “Sorry about you and Hawk breaking up but joining Miyagi-Do is a low blow. Enjoy your new friends,” she said before hanging up.
You stared at your phone in disbelief.
“Everything alright?” Sam asked, holding onto the punching bag to stop it. She glanced at you with wonder, her brow raised and blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight.
“Aisha and Tory completely blew me off, some friends,” you shook your head. “Sorry, I know you don’t like Tory.”
You frowned, knowing their history. But after what had happened, you didn’t like her so much either.
“Don’t apologize, if they can’t see you’re trying to be better, then that’s on them,” she shrugged before going back to her warm-ups, her punches becoming stronger.
You shrugged off your backpack, warming up alongside her until the rest of the guys showed up.
Mr. LaRusso was nowhere to be seen and with the summer heat, you all made it under a tree in the dojo. Still, the shade wasn’t enough to keep you from burning.
“Oh God, it’s so hot out,” Demitri gasped. “I’m sweating in places I didn’t even know had pores,” he wiped his forehead against your shoulder.
You grimaced at the sweat, shrugging him off.
“Alright guys, get out from under that tree. Its time to work,” Sensei said.
You all groaned as you got up, the small movement troubling in the excessive heat.
“Mr. LaRusso, it’s like 100 degrees out,” Robby complained. “Can’t we take it easy today?” He was saying what you were all thinking.
“Are you kidding? This heat wave is a gift. Today you are going to experience Shochu-Geiko,” he smiled.
You arched a brow.
“Like the car insurance?” Chris asked.
“Shochu-Geiko is a Japanese exercise where you train during the hottest days of the year,” he explained. “It’s about pushing yourself to the limit. The fight isn’t always gonna come when it’s 75 degrees and breezy.”
“Aren’t we supposed to avoid the fight?” Sam questioned.
You nodded. The whole reason you joined Miyagi-Do in the first place was to stop fighting.
“Sometimes you can’t,” he sighed. “Someday, the fight might come to you. And I want to make sure you’re ready,” he gazed hopefully. “So today, we’re gonna see what Miyag-Do is made of.”
That’s how you found yourselves formed in a circle out front. The sun beating down as Robby stood in the center, waiting for Mr. LaRusso to call out a number.
“Two!”
One of your classmates ran towards Robby but he punched him right in the chest, sweeping his leg and sending him to the ground.
Everyone reassembled.
“Five!”
Sam blocked Robby’s kick before spinning around and landing one straight on his abdomen. “Got you,” she smiled, their gaze lingering.
You sent Demitri an amused glance, one he didn’t match as he let out a groan.
“Alright, Demitri’s turn. Come on, Demitri get in there,” Sensei encouraged.
He reluctantly sighed before going in the middle. He raised his fists before Mr. LaRusso called a number out.
“Three!”
It didn’t take much for Chris to punch him in the stomach.
Figuring it was just a rough beginning, you waited for the next number, which happened to be yours.
“Seven!”
You lunged towards him. You wanted to give Demitri a chance to fight you off but it was so easy sweeping your leg and watching him fly to the ground.
“I hate this!” Demitri groaned.
“Alright, get up!” Sensei encouraged.
You offered your hand, helping him up. “Sorry, Demitri.”
He reluctantly forgave you, putting his weight on you as you made it back to your spots.
“Can we please take a break? This heat is brutal,” Sam sighed.
You all agreed.
“You guys want to cool off?”
“Alright, I think I can accommodate that,” he grinned.
You were hoping for a trip to the pool, not a freaking freezer storage.
“So, you couldn’t take the heat of Shochu-Geiko, perhaps you’ll find Kangeiko more to your liking,” he smiled with that same grin from earlier.
You shivered as you stood in the middle of the room, regretting you wore a tank top today.
“There are no “geikos” that take place in a spa?” Sam asked, the cold evident in her breath.
“It’s not about the heat or the cold. It’s about adapting to the environment around you and using that to your advantage” he said. “Look around, what do you see?”
“Frozen London Broil?” Chris asked.
You snickered.
“No, not the meat, look past that. I see the exhalation of breath,” he pointed to Sam. “The twitch of a muscle,” he glanced at Robby. “The shift of a stance,” he pointed to Demitri. “If you lean into the cold, it will heighten your senses,” he said. “And then you’ll anticipate the moment before your opponent strikes and you’ll always be ready,” he concluded.
You understood what he meant, noticing signs too.
His phone began ringing, hesitating to answer before he told you all to circle up, taking the call.
Now ready, you stood in your place. You watched Sam move about in the circle, looking out for obvious clues. She blocked Chris’s strike before Robby’s turn. They both battled, neither hitting the other and they stopped as they got lost in each other’s eyes.
You used to look at Eli that way. Your heart ached, memories flooding through but they were interrupted when Mr. LaRusso interrupted.
“All right, let’s get Demitri in there,” Mr. LaRusso said.
“Alright, here goes nothing,” he sighed. “Literally.”
He got kicked right in the stomach.
You sighed out in slight disappointment, knowing he had it in him.
“I can’t do it, Mr. LaRusso. Between the cold and the shouting and the hole in my sock. I’m not sure when that happened but it’s really uncomfortable,” he began complaining.
You rolled your eyes. Knowing your friend, he always had something to complain about.
“Demitri, you are the most neurotic person I know. You always expect the worst,” Sensei approached him.
Demitri sighed in agreement, a bit reluctant about it though.
“But you can use that to your advantage. It means you anticipate. Think of it like a spidey sense,” he stated.
“Actually in the comics, they call it Spider-Sense,” your friend corrected.
“Look, Demitri, this isn’t about who’s fastest and who’s strongest. It’s about instincts, using what’s in here,” he pointed to his head, your friend getting it now.
With some confidence, he took his stance, raising his fists.
“Two!” Mr. LaRusso called out.
Demitri noticed Chris, blocking his first strike and his second before he punched him in the gut.
You cheered for your friend, and the rest of the class too.
Unfortunately, he didn’t get the next person.
“Baby steps! It’s alright!” Mr. LaRusso reassured.
You patted Demitri on the back, the rest of the class crowding around you.
~
“Sam and I are more like acquaintances than friends,” you said.
It was unexpected to have Moon reach out. Knowing your situation with Aisha and Tory and now barely knowing Sam, it was good to have a friend.
“I’m sorry about telling Aisha that you joined Miyagi-Do, I didn’t think this rivalry was that bad,” she said, frowning as she sat on her bed.
“Don’t worry about it, I guess I would’ve had to tell them sooner or later,” you shrugged, sitting across from her.
“Listen, I’m glad we’re doing this, I really meant what I said about being friends. I did want to give you space though,” she offered, tipping her head to the side.
“Thanks, Moon,” you smiled.
It’d been a few months since she apologized before the All Valley. You never considered reaching out, still hurt that she wasn’t true to her word about showing you she was serious. But now she is and better late than never, right?
“So how are doing? With the breakup and everything?” She searched your eyes.
“Heartbreaking,” you hummed self-deprecatingly. “Eli was the first boy I ever loved, love,” you corrected. “I have karate as a distraction, but honestly, sometimes I just want to reach out,” you sucked in a breath. “Am I crazy?” You glanced at her.
“Not at all,” she shook her head. “It’s normal to experience that after breaking up. And considering how long you’ve known Hawk, your souls are connected. Best friends, boyfriend-girlfriend, first loves,” she listed, growing giddy. “I can’t imagine having a close bond with someone and it would suck to be apart even if it’s for the best,” she explained.
“That makes sense then,” you raised a brow. “The longest I spent without Eli was when he’d go to sleepaway camp with Demitri. That was only for a few weeks, this has been almost two months,” you hummed, shocked at the realization. “Thanks for being a friend,” you smiled genuinely.
“It’s nothing,” she giggled. “But as a friend, I have something I want to give to you,” she said, reaching under her bed and pulling out a wrapped gift. “I had this saved for the right moment. You’re right when you said talk is cheap,” she handed it to you.
You hesitated, eyeing her weirdly before you took it and unwrapped the gift, finding a lime green sketchbook.
“Moon, you didn’t have to,” you gasped slightly.
“I did,” she stopped you. “I hurt you, Y/N. I destroyed your property and I can’t undo what I did, but I want us to start new,” she sincerely said.
You grinned, leaning in to hug her and you felt happy as she returned it.
“Thank you,” you beamed. “It does mean a lot.”

Uh, I remember you have an AU where Makoto became Hope Tutor for Izuru. Can I asked more detail about it?
Gah, this is my first time doing this I don't know how to ask properly
That's totally fine; you're doing great!
Boy, "hope tutor AU" is definitely what I should have tagged this as, lol. Well, let's see.
First thing is, the AU isn't anime-compliant and might not be compliant with most other supplemental materials, since most of my Danganronpa fan works are based mostly on game canon.
In order for Makoto to have been identified as someone suited to the task of making Izuru come across as more personable and inspiring, he must have earned the faculty's notice in that regard. Which means this could cross over with the debate club AU (seeing as that's a good way for them to have seen him flourish in public speaking), but also it's not all that important to go into when exactly he earned their notice.
I'm thinking Makoto just walks into homeroom one morning and his teacher tells him that the headmaster has asked for him in some other room. He goes to that other room, and a couple of guys in suits are like "Makoto Naegi, the Academy has an important task for you. Should any details of this conversation be told to anyone outside this room, you will face consequences far more severe than expulsion."
Makoto is just like "U-Uh, okay. Are you sure you have the right person for whatever this is?"
They say something like, "Believe me, we're as surprised as you are."
Maybe they have Jin Kirigiri come in to cut the tension, like, "Hey, these guys are pretty intimidating, but really we just need you to help out with this great project we're working on."
And Makoto goes, "Oh, sure, I'd love to help."
And they take him down to the labs- not quite to Kamukura's room, but to a secondary room where Kamukura has also been taken. (Maybe Makoto's blindfolded on the way there.)
He's just left in an almost featureless room to sit across a table from Izuru, who's just Kubrick Staring him through his hair.
"Hi, I'm Makoto Naegi," he says nervously.
Eyes like rubies stare him down.
"They, uh...The guys who brought me here didn't really tell me what I was supposed to be doing. Just that I should come and meet you, and that you would take care of the rest. What's your name? I don't think I've seen you around here, but you look like you're around my age. I wasn't expecting that."
The person seated across from him straightens, raising his chin in a way that almost reminds him of Byakuya, but devoid of any of the fire or ice that usually sits behind Byakuya's eyes. And the stranger still doesn't say anything. (Probably. It would be kind of funny if Izuru went, "What else about my appearance didn't you expect?" and just generally probed at Makoto's words to make him flounder.)
Makoto waits for at least a minute before breaking the silence again, "Sorry, if there's something I'm supposed to be saying or doing, I don't know what it is."
Eventually (either right then or after more false starts), Izuru says, "Makoto Naegi, Ultimate Lucky Student from Hope's Peak's 78th class. You're here so that I can learn you."
"Learn me?"
"Yes. The faculty has assessed that, in terms of general likability and ability to sway people, you're the student who has the most to teach me. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything in your disposition worth emulating in the past few minutes." And actually, I am going to cross this over with the debate club AU, just because I like the idea of Izuru having already been shown footage of Makoto's debate wins before they met. "I've seen the footage of you in debate club. Is this how you are normally?"
"Well, yes. Pretty much."
"That explains why everyone looks surprised when they see you in debate club."
Makoto laughs nervously. "Looks like you've learned me already." Am I allowed to leave now?
"Not yet. Your contradictions are...almost interesting."
I like the idea of the scientists and teachers allotting Izuru an hour or so with Makoto pretty much anytime he wants it, because it means that when his (for lack of a better word) "use" for Makoto goes from pragmatic interest to subjective fascination to just enjoyment of being around him, he'll have people going "Are you sure you still need to talk to Naegi?" And he'll still be saying, "Yes. Bring him here."
And I like the idea that he can do this at pretty much any time, so he can pull Makoto out of any class, lunch, whatever. Maybe one day he's looking at the school's security cameras and sees that Makoto is having a good time alone with Sayaka and he sends for him then, just to separate them. And he wonders why he felt the need to do that, and that's when he realizes that he likes Makoto.
And then it's like, Oh, they were right. Even I like him.

games // part two | peter parker
masterlist to this is here!
part two is here
tw: a couple curse words
god i'm so brain dead rn send help
(pls don't mind the spacing for like any of my fics they're all wonky cuz they're copy and pasted from wattpad...)
unknown number: hey, it's peter. when do you wanna meet up?
y/n perked up at the sound of her phone buzzing, eager that she'd have something to do now. she rolled over and grabbed it from the nightstand, letting her eyes adjust to the bright screen. y/n blinked; peter?
oh, yeah, the cute kid in science. she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, did he already want to start on it?
unknown number: if you want to get it out of the way lol
unknown number: obvi we don't have to rn lol
unknown number: it's up to you lol
unknown number: ur reading these
unknown number: and not responding
unknown number: so i'm assuming the worst
she quickly renamed him to "peter" before responding.
y/n: so you're cute and funny, def scored one
y/n: dw it's not too early
y/n: i appreciate the eagerness
y/n: and honestly you can come over
peter: rn?
y/n: if u want
y/n: like, ofc it's short notice so u don't have to
he responded pretty quickly to that.
peter: no
peter: i mean i have plans
peter: but they aren't that big
peter: so yeah
peter: i guess i can come over
peter: i suppose
y/n: cool then
y/n: see you in thirty?
peter: sure
she dropped her phone back onto the stand, picking herself up. y/n shuffled over to the mirror, deciding whether or not she looked representable. she decided that another coat or two of mascara wouldn't hurt, and she added a layer of lipgloss, as well.
only when her stomach growled did she realize that she was hungry. so y/n left her room and got into the elevator, hitting the button for the 6th floor. when she got out, she saw that her dad was sitting at the couch by steve, nat, and vision.
she watched as vision shook his head, "i do not understand the end goal of this game."
"you're supposed to be the first to finish your cards," nat sighed, and y/n got a feeling that she had to explain this multiple times.
"but why?"
"bec- never-mind, just go, it's your turn," and after a moment, "no! red and yellow have absolutely no correlation! it's not even the same number!"
tony snorted, "you guys fucking suck, you know that, right?"
"go ahead, steve, you know you want to," y/n called out, pouring herself a cup of lemonade.
"christ," he rolled his eyes. "once, it was once! when are you gonna let it go?"
nat added, "bad words are sad words."
"oh, by the way, dad, peter's coming over."
"okay. wait, why?"
"we got a school project. we wanna get it outta the way."
"ooooh," the love of your life teased, though at the moment, she wasn't quite the love of your life.
"i am detecting a change in your heartbeat, y/n."
"god! it's not like that!" yeah, why was there a change in her heartbeat? it was beating against her ribcage, and she was clearly flustered. it was just peter, y/n told herself. just peter.
she chugged the glass down as an excuse not to do anymore talking before moving back to the pantry to grab a pack of sour cream and onion. y/n brought that back to her room and crashed down onto her bed. after she was done eating, she popped a piece of gum in her mouth because... actually she wasn't sure. it was sort of... instinctive.
not because she wanted to kiss peter.
well, maybe, actually.
a hook-up never hurt anyone.
she didn't think much of it. she didn't want to think much of it. to pass the time, she put on some boring, irrelevant show. soon enough, there was a knock on the door. y/n flicked off the tv and pulled it open.
"hi, pete."
he blushed, and she figured it was the nickname. and for some reason, she really liked that look on him. "h-hey." y/n moved to the side to let in him, and he took two awkward steps forward. she flopped down on the bed, pulling out her science stuff.
"you can... you know, sit down," she gestured to the beanbag and the desk. "take your pick. or you can stand, that's fine, too."
"oh- no, i-" he cut himself off, sitting down on the beanbag, freezing as he sunk into it. "it's- um, comfy."
"thanks. i think. damn, parker, you're so awk," she laughed. he laughed along, too, because she had that type of energy. her laughter was contagious, in the best type of way.
"okay, what did you wanna start with?" y/n asked, when the laughter died down after a second or two.
"um- i-i-...maybe just brainstorming better?"
"sure, then. she said power-point prez, right?"
he cleared his throat. "uh, yes- yeah."
she gave him a soft smile as she raised an eyebrow, "i don't bite. promise. you can relax."
"i- i am relaxed," he said, cursing thor as his voice cracked.
"you're sitting like an old man with your hands in your lap. but if that's how you normally sit..."
"no! i mean, no. i don't," he relaxed his shoulders, getting comfier.
she nodded, pulling up a word document, "okay, so basically, atomic defects in solids are one of the most promising single-photon sources or 'quantum emitters', an important building block for many quantum technologies. but... i assume you already know this stuff, being the genius you are."
he blushed again, and she smirked. "uh, yeah. in order to design and engineer better quantum emitters, we need to use their optical and electronic properties, as well as defect formation."
"and migration," y/n added.
"yeah. we can first-principles quantum mechanical calculations c-combined with machine-learning techniques to u-uncover key properties such as, um... defect dynamics, formation mechanisms, free energies and stabilities at... room and elevated temperatures."
she paused, "okay, wow, didn't think of it that way. go parker!"
peter blushed once more, and now that she was thinking about it, his face hadn't really gone back to normal this entire time. they went back an forth, and y/n was happy that he seemed for comfortable around her.
they did lots of subtle flirting, well, she did, he just blushed. peter and y/n had gotten to know each other better, and they did talk about things that weren't quantum physics and condensed matter.
he didn't end up leaving until somewhere around nine, and that was since they'd lost track of time. once he left, y/n laid in bed, hands tucked under her head, staring up at the ceiling. her heart beat faster at the thought of peter and she cussed under her breath, because she didn't like him. they were friends.
he was just nice for a guy, and that made her glad because most guys were pretentious douche-bags.
besides, she flirted with everyone. even cap (but that was as a joke to piss off her dad, steve, albeit, thought it was annoying too, but technicalities). so this was no different.
her heart beat faster.
she didn't like him.
she didn't like anyone like that.
right?

i also wish people would be more receptive to relationship speculation, at the very least. there were so many moments in fionna and cake where simon and fionna’s interactions had me raising my eyebrows and thinking “wow, what’s up with this chemistry rn?” but i know posting about it to see if others also noticed would get me dogpiled lol. glad i’m not the only one entertaining the ship and its implications to/for the characters it encompasses.
also winter king/simon is intriguing as well, if only in a weird homestuck self-shipping (dave and davesprite anyone?) kind of way where both characters get to have major epiphanies bc they’re basically looking into a mirror (may be more of a funhouse mirror for winter king/simon but still works lol)
i do not ship any of these pairings, please dont take this post from a shipping perspective
i apologize in advanced if this post is said messy. its given an opening to many things ive been thinking about since the start of the show and i know i wanna come back to it in case any new developments were to happen at the final season 1 episodes tldr; Kai Talks About how much i Love Very Messed Up Pairings, not because i want them to actually be together, but because i am NOT the type to ignore Seeds That Have been Planted in canon so i will Grow Horrible Realizations i've been having out of them
YEAH NO BECAUSE I LIKE. I JUST WANNA POINT OUT WHAT'S CANON OKAY!! i think this post is like. the only one ive seen that Has Pointed out The Adventure Time Ice King/Fionna dynamic in the lenses of the Simon we have today....and even then thats just a joke post :")
because like. okay. i need people to think about this for a second: yes, ice king didn't Come With with Fionna and Cake's existence, but why in the world would he Choose to be responsible for writing it? for bringing their stories to life and showing off a world that's been living in his head? i genuinely think people don't really like the ugly side of how badly loneliness has mutated Ice King's way of thinking (i mean for gods sake the guy tries to kiss/get with anyone, mf cant even recognize the person he claims to be falling in love with). that, yeah. of course if he had a World Living inside his brain that felt so Real to him that he CONSTANTLY wished for it to not only but true, but one that would be close to him!! one that would welcome him!!!! no matter what itd be, romantic, platonic, To the point of Worship....like ANYTHING that would bring him closer to genuine Connection in his alienating experience. NOTABLY for fionna The Human!!! the human that parallels a real life actual kid that mostly has kicked Ice King's ass to eventually treating him like a Poor confused Old Lost Guy. still, i need to stress the kind of dynamic finn and the ice king have is NOWHERE near the kind of dynamic fionna and ice king have (and even with simon developments included). . ...except this time around, even when he does have his own parallel Ice Queen existing manifesting the Must Needed Rival for their universe to make sense, mutating her character into something that to make her more Vicious/Violent, making Ice King seem Nicer In Comparison and dare i say that, yeah...! some of that HAS been carried onto modern day Fionna!! who CANONICALLY has romantic feelings towards ice prince and the winter king, parallels to ice king/simon himself! just. sorry but i NEED both Simon and Fionna to like. Read Those Stories. I Need them to revisit the VERY specific stories that Ice King felt the need to tell in the first place, his and other people in their lives' inclusions. it would not only reinforce Simon's Influence in the world Period, something that he found himself doubting on ...but also I NEEEEEEDDD to see that can of worms opened. i NEED for Fionna to see for herself the people SHE'S supposed to be representing. i NEED for her to see what kind of void she's been filling in Ice King/Simon's time of existence. i NEED for her to see how big the Obsession GOT, how badly Ice King needed that outlet of escapism (and how much Simon still returns to it in the present day)
Tumblr media
^ this moment has been living in my brain ever since the announcement of the Fionna and Cake series that Fionna's fixation on the ice prince, her life, her..everything in general, is more or less a Weird Reflection of the lives of People living Greater Lives than she ever believed to have lived, combined with how said proclaimed experiences of Magic have only been recorded by a guy who Inserted Himself in a world she doesnt even recall living in Im surprised that. hasnt been so Stressed yet in show. im prepared to eat my words if they DO come back to it. but for the time being i really wish Fionna found out how desperate Simon/Ice King was for someone to acknowledge and Desire His Existence, to a degree that would be absolutely humiliating/weird to uncover but Necessary to come back to in order to truly understand the Scope of what 1000+ years of Madness through Ostracization (from others and eventually the Self) Does to a MF
__________ AS OF FOR MY THOUGHTS ON THE WINTER KING, he alas only truly an episode to explore. but the thoughts still exist nonetheless!!! for the most part i can only truly indulge in it out of pure hilarity for its existence, while acknowledging how much im so thankful that winter king was characterized as he was n didnt overstay his welcome, as i didnt find him necessary to stay in the narrative . there's a lot of feelings i have about simon/ice king's perception of himself alone, and how most of it is Either Negative or Overcompensation Due to his own self negativity. which makes me curious on what could come of a Better Version of Himself, looking at the version of himself that has "failed" to conquer the crown the way he has, but contemplated on pursuing romantically, even for a brief moment honestly, i dont blame people for being invested in this pairing (in comparison to fionna/simon, where i cannot myself entertain it even as a joke unlike this one). it makes me curious on what the Winter King's definition of romance is in comparison to Simon's. what could even be desirable, possibly, in the eye's of the Winter King? Does the love of someone you'll go mad over truly make you a Better Person Or Worse? Simon and Winter King existing in the same room together brings up so many questions and possible ways to explore Simon's character. wayyyyyyyyyy less of a "this can be simon's way of practicing self love" thing and MUCH more of a "These Guys Kissing each other would be the equivalent of the Narcissus Tale but with a Distorted Reflection that only Represents You because the reflection Demands That of you"

WIP SNIPPETS!
HELLO i want to prove that i actually AM working on stuff (actually because i need to share things or i will explode) SO here are some sneak peeks for the three whole wips i've been cooking lately!!!!
Chapter 3 of Familiar Faces
(some context: "Papyrus" is Stretch, "Red-Papyrus" is Edge, they don't have their nicknames yet </3)
“Who designed all these, anyway?” Russ asked, squinting a bit as he poked at a powered-off laser. “I know a Papyrus wouldn’t come up with a display like this.”
“They’re mostly old puzzles from back when those were still a big thing,” Papyrus said. “We’ve been too busy to make new ones, and we’re still trying to get rid of all the solutions-”
“Oh, these are ancient!” Russ groaned, rubbing his hands down his face like it was the worst thing he’d heard all day. “Okay, okay, good news! You have us here now! We will amend this!”
“You really don’t gotta-”
“If we don’t it will be an affront to traps everywhere!” He looked through the toolbox they’d brought along. “We’ll need some more tools, but… Hey, Papyrus?”
“What?” Papyrus and Red-Papyrus said simultaneously. They squinted at each other.
“That one, sorry,” Russ clarified, pointing to Red-Papyrus. “You know what we’re looking for, right? Do you think you can dig around and find anything like that?”
“...Yes,” Red-Papyrus said somewhat reluctantly, backing off from where he was inspecting a rusty saw blade. “Blueprint paper, flamethrowers, scrap?”
“Right on the money!” He snapped his fingers into a gun shape. “Also some power tools, bigger wrenches, maybe some gasoline… And, whatever else you come across, I suppose!”
“I can grab that stuff if you want,” Papyrus offered, fairly certain he’d know where to find it better than someone who’d allegedly only been in this universe for a day.
“Nonsense! I need to show you how to bring these hunks of junk to their full potential!” Russ said, grinning as he raised a hammer that was far too big for the toolbox he’d pulled it from. “We’ll start with some percussive maintenance!”

Something's Wrong With This Guy (WORKING TITLE LOL)
(Context: Edge's perspective, takes place before meeting Stretch)
“Russ?” He called out. “God dammit, Russ, where did you go?”
He scanned the area for even a hint of where Russ had run off to, but he could hardly see a thing. Maybe he was being smart for once, hiding in a bush somewhere. He wasn’t in any state to fight. He’d sooner topple over before he could get a word out.
There was no answer. Of course there wasn’t. If he was hiding, answering would give him away.
Unfortunately, that was just as likely as if he were already dead.
He finally caught another glimpse of the attacker, sending another round of attacks their way with a renewed fury. No matter what had happened, he’d make sure he dealt with it appropriately.
Right as his first round ended, he rushed in close, forgoing his magic just to pin them against the ground. He held them there by the neck, rearing back his fist.
Then, finally, he saw Russ, grinning up at him and cutting through the thick fog of adrenaline like a knife.
He shoved himself off, his anger dissipating just as quickly as it had arrived.
“Aww, but it was just getting fun!” Russ complained, pulling himself out of the snow and brushing himself off. “I had a suspicion you’ve been holding out on me, but…”
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Papyrus shouted. “I could have killed you!”
“Isn’t that what you want?” He pointed out. Papyrus couldn’t find a response. “Besides, I’m fine! That was fun! Come on, let’s keep going, we can-”
“No.”
“But-”
“You are incredibly lucky that both of us are not dead,” Papyrus hissed, gesturing to the open area around them. “I don’t give a damn how much of a death wish you have, but if you want me to have a part in it, I will do so of my own accord. Otherwise, leave me out of it.”
“So… You don’t want to kill me?” Russ asked. Papyrus sputtered, quickly gaining the urge to prove him wrong as a smile grew on his face. “Oh, Papyrus, you’ve grown so much! I’m so proud of you!”
With a swift smack to the back of his skull, Papyrus finally began to drag Russ to the house.

Reboot Part 1: Swapfell (working title)
(Context: Fluff's perspective, his very own introduction fic :'> so proud)
“What the fuck was that,” he growled, not caring to greet the bastard on the other end.
“I asked Alphys to install a plugin on your phone that’d get you to answer it for once,” Sans answered. He could hear the smile on his face. “It only activates after five missed calls, so really you’ve only got yourself to blame for this one.”
“Fuck you.”
“Hey, saves me the trouble of having to run back home to make sure you’re not dead.”
“And what’s so important that you had to wake me up in the most assholeish way possible?”
“I needed to tell you- wait, I woke you up? Papyrus, have you been sleeping all day? It’s seven in the-!”
He hung up.
It took about a minute for the phone to ring again. He snickered, imagining his brother coming down from his tirade just to realize he’d been lecturing a ghost the entire time.
He stared at the screen.
Five calls, huh?
He answered on the fifth, on the very last ring.
“Point taken,” Sans said, resigned. He was probably pinching the bridge of his nose in that way he always did when Papyrus pissed him off. “Look, I just wanted to tell you I’m gonna be working late again, okay? Some stuff came up.”
“Wow, that’s a huge diversion from what you do every single day. Super urgent news for me to know, couldn’t possibly have just texted me that.”
“You regularly make me wonder if you’re even receiving my texts because you never answer them. The only way I even know your phone works is when I ask if you want takeout.”
“Maybe you should learn something from that.”
“I’m not going to bribe you into answering my texts, Papyrus.”
“Don’t be surprised when I don’t answer ‘em then.”
“Papyrus-” Sans started, but cut himself short. Then, he sighed. “...Look, kid, I don’t want to argue with you. I just wanna be able to know you’re alright. I’m sorry it’s annoying, but I can’t– ...I just need to know, okay?”
Papyrus didn’t respond. He clenched his jaw at his brother’s change in tone.
“If you’ve been sleeping all day, then you probably haven’t eaten,” Sans continued. “I’m pretty sure there’s still some leftover stir-fry in the fridge. You should have some. It might be a bit spicy for you, but it’s good food.”
He hummed plainly.
“...Well, that’s all I wanted to say. I gotta get back to work now, but I’ll see you when I see you, yeah?”
His jaw clenched just a bit tighter.
“Love you, kid.”
He hung up again, for real this time.

HELLO friendo, how have you beeeen? i hope you're doing amazing!! 💛
noww i saw your requests were open? 👀 unfortunately i'm completely unfamiliar with all of the new fandoms so uhm hi it's me and my endless haikyuu lee kuroo requests again ^^'
i'm not sure if i requested it from you before but. matsukuro. light of my life. there's not enough for my insatiable rare pair heart so i thought maybe a little thing with them?
i feel like kuroo is that kind of person who comments on movies while watching yknow and let's be honest mattsun is probably into weird mindfucker-ish low quality movies. ofc kuroo watches them with him from time to time (the things we do for love lol) but every time every now and then he can't help but try to solve the age old mystery: "is this a mindfuck on purpose or does it just straight up not make sense?" let's just say mattsun ist not too amused (all in good fun ofc)
as always: if you don't want to write it or don't feel comfortable, no worries at all!!
have a lovely day 💛💛
KJEKJRLEKJRJKEJK YES! Oh my goodness, hi friend! :D I hope you're doing well! My goodness, I'm obsessed with this prompt aljerjkajkrjk Kuroo is living his Movie Reviewer life to Mattsun's annoyance ajrejarjaekr I've gotcha covered!
Cloud 9 (Taglist Peeps)
@thatbigbisexual29 @duckymcdoorknob,
“I don’t get it. Am I supposed to get it?” Kuroo’s brows furrowed as he watched the screen before turning to his boyfriend. “How do you watch these things anyway- are you some sort of secret genius?”
“Kuroo.” Mattsun suppressed a sigh, leaning into his fist as he tried to focus on the movie. “We’re not even halfway through.”
“That’s my point; it’s already confusing just 20 minutes in, and I still don’t know what’s going on.” The brunette pouted as he settled back, leaning into Mattsun for maximum comfort. “Are we supposed to root for the main character? She’s giving big Karen energy.”
“She’s the only one left on earth- who’s she gonna be a Karen to? The AI?” Mattsun snorted, pulling Kuroo closer and running his hand along his arm. “It’ll make sense eventually- just hang in there.”
“Fine…” Kuroo pouted, melting beneath the gentle touch. They sat in silent bliss.
For two minutes.
“Okay- now I’m really confused. What’s her endgame? If she’s trying to survive, she isn’t doing that great of a job. Who just walks into a cave without any sort of weapon or light source?”
“Kuroo.”
“She’s gonna die. I can feel it in my bones.”
“Please.”
“Watch- there’ll be a whole freaking bear in there- a bear in space-”
Mattsun shifted quickly. Suddenly Kuroo found himself with his back against the couch cushions, staring up at Mattsun’s raised brow. “Oo, is this the part where we ditch the movie and start making out?” He blew a few kisses up at him.
“No- well, not yet. This is the part where I tell you to shut that pretty mouth of yours up so we can watch the movie.” Mattsun leaned in so they were nose to nose, eyes glittering. “Before I shut it for you.”
A shiver of anticipation raced down Kuroo’s spine. “Do it then.” He smirked, grinning when Mattsun’s eyes flashed. “Shut me up, Mattsun~”
~~~
“Not what I meant, NOT WHAT I MEHAHHAHAN’T!” Kuroo all but shrieked, thrashing beneath Mattsun’s dancing fingers as they played against his ribs. In the background, the movie carried on, completely abandoned as Mattsun continued his playful assault.
“Oh no? That’s not what you meant? You said shut you up- so I am!” Mattsun teased softly, making Kuroo’s face flush an endearing shade of red as he worked the spot just beneath his ribcage. “You need to be more clear on what you mean next time, babe.”
“Sahahhahahahys the guy who dihihihihidn’t thehhehehell mehehehe he was gohoohohohnna tihihihickle- AHhahahhaha not thehehehehhere!” Kuroo’s hands shot down to his boyfriend’s wrists as the other gently massaged his hip, not quite pushing at the joint but simply holding it. “Coohohhohohme ohoohohohon!”
“What? I’m being nice- this isn’t even your worst spot.” Mattsun smirked a small devious little smile, leaning in so he was nose to nose with the other. “If I really wanted to, I’d go right for that pretty neck of yours. I do love how much you sound like a hyena when I tickle you there- it’s rather cute.”
“Shuhuhuhuhuhuht your mohohohohohohuth, you frehehehehehehaking vahhahhahahaampihihihihire! Ahehahahahahhaha!” Kuroo cackled, pushing at Mattsun’s face as he scrunched up, cheeks red and eyes misty. “Oohohohoho my gohohoohohd, whehehehen’d you gehhehehehet so tehehehehehahhahahasy?”
“Learned from the best.” Mattsun told him simply, leaning in to kiss his cheek. Then the side of his chin.
Then…
“AHEHAHHAHAHA! NOHOOOHHO, NOHOHOHOOHO WAHHAHAHAIT STAHAHHAHAHAHAP!” Kuroo all but screamed, torn between arching away and scrunching up as Mattsun’s lips found his neck, kissing and nuzzling. He grabbed the back of Mattsun’s hair- his shirt- he tried kicking him in the ass with his socked foot. Nothing worked; his boyfriend was a tickling monster! At this moment, he put Kuroo’s work to shame.
A difficult thing to do, he’d argue. Kuroo couldn’t help but be a little proud.
“Are you gonna stay quiet for the rest of the movie?” Mattsun asked between kisses, his hands slowing to a gentle trace as Kuroo wheezed beneath him.
“Yehehehhehs! Yehehehehhes, pleahahahhase now stahhahahap tihiihhiihckling mehehehehe!” Kuroo cried out, gasping for air when Mattsun did just that. Running a shaky hand through his bangs, he reached out and swatted the other boy’s shoulder. “Yohohohohu’re tehehehrrible!”
“I did warn you, didn’t I?” Mattsun reminded, remaining in his position lying across Kuroo’s supine form. He ran a hand along Kuroo’s flushed face, smiling when the other leaned into the touch. “I told you I’d shut you up.”
“I thoohohught you were gonna kiihihiss me.” Kuroo pouted, trying and failing to glare. It was impossible to stay mad at him when Mattsun was giving him those freaking eyes!
“Hm.” Was all he got. Before long, soft lips captured his own. Warmth spread down Kuroo’s body like a wave, making his toes curl and his heart beat rapidly against his ribs. “Better?”
“No. You stopped too early.” Kuroo raised his chin, his trademark grin cutting across his face despite how breathless he sounded. “Keep doing that and I’ll be as quiet as a mouse.”
“We’ll see.” Mattsun laughed against his mouth, kissing him again and again.
Thanks for reading!
