Are you a fan of LusLus (Gallus x Ocellus)? If so, what do you imagine they'd look like as a pair on a deeper level?

If I have not made it abundantly clear by now, I am totally down with shipping literally any arrangement between these seven idiots (including Swift Foot, obviously), up to and definitely including any arrangement of poly ships.

Which is to say, yes, I am definitely a fan of LusLus. I may not make all that many quotes for them because, my multishipper ass aside, I do tend to gravitate towards specific pairings more often than others, but I definitely see the appeal and the potential.

The best way I can describe their relationship to each other, platonic or romantic, is that these two corrupt each other. And I mean that in the most wholesome, supportive way.

I headcanon Gallus as being a closet nerd. I think that, if he were given a chance to really engage with an academic subject that could hold his interest, he’d take to it like a fish to water. Gallus is actually surprisingly smart when you think about it.

His trial from the Tree of Harmony, while mainly a test of courage to overcome his claustrophobia, was also a puzzle that he legitimately took the time to approach empirically and logically. Sure, it was a simple puzzle, but it still showed a pretty methodical thought process.

(Plus, there’s having the foresight to have prepared his permission slip in triplicate. That was straight out of Twilight’s playbook)

I like to think that his relationship with Ocellus could really give Gallus a lot of natural opportunities to really let his inner Einstein out, something he would learn to appreciate about himself more and more as Ocellus would be nothing but a source of support for Gallus to embrace his own intellect.

On the flip-side of that? Gallus would be such a terrible influence on Ocellus by rubbing his snarky, sarcastic sense of humor off on her.

I like to think that, once Ocellus learns to overcome her anxiety and social phobias as she grows older, she would naturally have a much more, shall we say, dry wit. In fact, I can see her overcoming her anxiety almost exactly because of that. It’s a confidence-builder.

Don’t get me wrong, she’d still primarily be a sweetheart without a single mean-spirited plate on her exoskeleton, but I’d like to imagine Ocellus would be the type to indulge in the occasional good-natured sardonicism. And Gallus would basically fulfill the role of being the perfect sparring partner for her.

Basically, I view LusLus as the type of relationship where they each take a small piece of the other and build off of it to be a better, more complete version of themselves. And the best part is, you can see that even if you view their relationship as purely platonic.

i kinda get and kinda dont get what you mean when you say dragonfru1t is most likely to be canon? like i get they have a lot of interactions but i think its more accurate to say no ships will be canon, flying bark seems to really steer away from romance in their shows (glitch techs, rotmnt, 100% wolf). the company seems to super focus on platonic bonds and found family as a whole

I’m assuming this is coming from these tweets I sent recently out of frustration with some “my ship isn’t the most popular one!!” whining I saw going on so I’ll add a screenshot for anyone who’s curious about the full context here:

Just to help clarify right off the bat, my main point of bringing Dragonfruit up was to say that, if I were to be one of those people who genuinely felt I needed to ship the most “analytically “cOrReCt” ship”, I would be shipping Dragonfruit and Dragonfruit alone.

Yet here I am with Spicynoodles as my OTP (despite Dragonfruit being my first ship of the series and the one that I have the most AMV’s about as well as still being a ship I enjoy because I am a multishipper)

Because I’m not held down by the bitter bs of when I was a teenager thinking I had to be “Right” in how I approached things that are meant to be for fun. Like shipping in fandom. (See also - my whole rant towards those people who were whining about how “If all you do when you take in media is look for ways to ship in it, you are objectively missing out and thus are bad and stupid”)

To answer your questions:

My main point that I didn’t have the character space for in regards to “Which is most likely to become canon” would be better worded as “If any ship was in the running of possibly being canon, it would be Red Son x Xiaojiao/Mei.“

While I am of the opinion that - similar to my hot take that the LBD host does NOT need to become a major character - this series does not have enough time to waste on dealing with the complications romance would bring to a story already focused on complicated platonic relationships, I still can’t ignore the simple fact that the only couple that has the most on-screen reasoning AND out-of-universe meta elements lined up to make them canon is Dragonfruit.

(See also - my reasoning why “What Makes It Complicated” will never have romance in it outright. The story is about complicated relationships with those you care about but fear you SHOULDN’T care about despite their best efforts via Wukong and Kumi, and adding romance to it would muddy the whole thing up in ways I have no reason to put the audience through)

I haven’t seen anything else of Flying Bark’s unfortunately (please don’t suggest Rise to me. I do not care for TMNT. It has NEVER appealed to me in any iteration. I’ve seen clips from Rise already. Animation looks other worldly. The show’s not for me.) but I am definitely willing to take your word for it that they don’t include romance in their work.

My opinion that Dragonfruit is the most likely ship to become canon comes with a giant “IF” in front for “IF there is going to be ANY ship that becomes canon”.

And for the last question:

Yes and I would hate it and that’s exactly why I am in love with how Calabash shut down my nemesis before they could even get off the ground.

“Main guy should always get with main girl!” is the source of so much shipping drama - even when people don’t realize that that’s exactly what their “But they have the most screen time together!” arguments are based on - and more for more than one ship war that I have seen for myself and I am glad to have that explicitly avoided.

If someone still ships them, that’s fair.

I still ship spicynoodles despite, as I’ve said, there’s not a whole lot of in-universe reasons to see them as “correct” analytically speaking.

I’m just relieved to have avoided “Main Guy x Main Girl just ‘cause” arguments being thrown around in fights.

1. Todoroki, seeing that Deku n Kacchan aren't talking a whole lot right now, swoops in to shoot his shot with Deku. But suddenly he's spending a whole lotta time with Bakugou and wow, all those weird feelings from the remedial licence training are coming back. He's still hopelessly pining for Deku though. Hmmm what could it possibly mean

2. Rody didn't like Deku a lot when he first saw him (altho he was really hot, picking him up like he weighed nothing and giving him those determined eyes and damn) but now they're on a road trip and there are feelings and pasts spilling and oops looks like he's falling for him. Well then might as well accept it oh shit shirtless deku wait no he's in dekus lap and barely conscious hold up deku's hugging him?! why is this boy killing him like this

3. Deku's a bit worried about why Kacchan suddenly isn't talking so much anymore, but he doesn't have too much time to think about it. Either way, Todoroki-kun is being super reliable and awesome nowadays to make up for some of it. Just some though. And anyway, he's making a new friend! A really cute friend! Rody <3

First off, two secretly depressed beans more willing to help others than help themselves. But like Dream’s a lot more persistent about that bullshit. As soon as he entered Fluffytale he knew something was up, but this little barista was too sweet to suffer like that. So he checks up on him regularly, gives him good dreams, helps out in the cafe if he has time, gives him someone to talk to. Whole nine yards.

That eventually escalated without them really meaning it to. Now Dream’s turning off Ccino’s alarm and working the morning shift just so he can sleep in longer. He’s reminding Ccino to take breaks and eat and drink some damn water. He’s worrying about the other skelly constantly without realizing it. He’s basically wearing himself thin instead just for this cute barista and he doesn’t really know why, Ccino’s just so sweet to talk to.

Ccino, of course, fuckin takes notice of that tho. He confronts the idiot about it, have a little heart to heart, either confessions are made here or further down the line idk I’m just rambling thoughtlessly here.

They are. The softest of couples. They don’t make out in public but by gosh are they gonna hold hands or hook elbows everywhere they go. They’re both little and big spoons depends on the day. Ccino knows exactly what coffee/tea Dream needs, and Dream brings him lunches and sweets from all across the multiverse. Plus, with Dream’s intent? Fuck those pastries in the cafe just got 10 times better and that’s saying a l o t.

Usually the Kitties come and go depending on who’s coming to the cafe that day, but not Dream kitty, he’s there 24/7 now and doesn’t leave Ccino’s side for anyone.

Now, Dream personally comes to his place when he senses Ccino’s having a bad night, curls up next to him to let his aura (and of course his company) calm the little skelly down. But, being the tired Guardian he is, Dream often falls asleep beside him as well without really meaning to. Fbsjbdjs

The worst arguments they have are over who’s gonna wear the soft sweater that day, and occasionally Nightmare (since Ccino swears he’s so nice when he and the gang visits, you just gotta get through to him, but Dream’s been trying that for years, it’s not that simple!)

Ship Based Hate

Spoilers under the cut lol Hey Hi Hello Y’all

so i was just browsing Danganronpa content on this hellsite, as you do, when i came across something that i realized is a problem.

Ship Based Hate

it started because I wanted to look at Gonta ships. I am, as you all should know or will come to find out, a multishipper. Its sorta my brand. So i was scrolling through various ship tags for Gonta, most of them a bit short, lacking in content, but cute nonetheless. Then i went to OuGoku. If you dont know, OuGoku is the ship between Gonta Gokuhara and Kokichi Ouma. Its pretty cute in my opinion, and has a pretty solid fanbase.

But i started seeing various, almost random hateposts about it. Saying things like “this ship makes me wanna throw up” or “if you ship this you are toxic and should die”. Reoccuring posts all dedicated to the hatred of this ship. This is not the only Ship for which this happens either. Things like KomeNami, and even Naegiri get hate like this.

If you are not aware, as i was not before now, there are people who dedicate themselves to hating these ships, among others, because its “toxic”.

I personally dont consider this toxic, as in the case if OuGoku they were genuinely friends towards the end of the line, two people who cared for eachother. The biggest issue is that Kokichi manipulated Gonta into killing Mui, a plan that he thought would work, but instead got Gonta executed.

I feel like people forgot a few details, like the fact that both of them thought the plan would work, that Gonta, though Gullible, is still an Adult human being capable of making decisions for himself, and that Mui was going to get everyone killed if they did not go through with their plan.

The biggest one though, is a concept that this fandom seems to forget a lot. No Ship is Non-Toxic If Developed In A Killing Game.

its that simple. The mental and emotional stress put on a bunch of barely adults— who are locked away from society, never to escape unless they kill a peer and get away with it— is ASTOUNDING. The fact that you genuinely think a functional and emotionally stable relationship can bloom under such conditions is foolish and naive at best. So to hate someone based off of a ship and their interactions during a killing game is just plain stupid!

The trick to overcoming such stupid hatred is this: Think about the relationship outside the killing game.

And no, I’m not talking about the Pregame version of the character either. Take thses charcters as they are, outside of the killing game. Is it really as toxic as you say it is?

Okay, and yes, some ships are bad regardless, like Junko and Mikan, which is just straight up abuse, or Kazuichi and Sonia, in which one person is aimlessly pinning and somewhat inappropriate to the second party, who has no feelings whatsoever. But most ships aren’t like that.

And after all this, yes, you still have the right to ship who you want, and vice versa, but needless “ship hate posts“ is really dumb. Nobody is forcing you to consume said content. If you dont like, dont look/read. Its really that simple.

Anyway this is my longest post so far, but whatever lol. Drink water babes.

Favorite character: From the guys, Olberic Eisenberg. From the girls, H’annit

Least favorite character: Werner (dishonorable mention to Yvon)

5 favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Eisenbright (Olberic Eisenberg/Cyrus Albright), H’aanberic (H’annit/Olberic), Alfyn/Ophilia, Therion/Primrose, Alfyn/Zeph (I’m in multishipper purgatory!)

Character I find most attractive: It’s got to be Cyrus in terms of looks and personality.

Character I would marry: Well. I’m not into the whole self insert thing, but if I had to pick, Alfyn. He’s so simple and nice! His medicine might be helpful with my chronic illness too.

Character I would be best friends with: Ophilia for sure. I think we have a lot in common (loyalty to family, wanting to help people, etc.)

A random thought: This game has a great soundtrack and hopefully I’ll get its physical copy soon. My birthday is coming up and it is in my Amazon wishlist.

An unpopular opinion: I’m not sure what the popular opinions are, but I’ll just go ahead and say I want more fan content for Erhardt.

My canon OTP: There really aren’t any canon ships sailed in the main game. But I’d say Alfyn/Zeph comes pretty close to it.

My non-canon OTP: Eisenbright without a doubt!

Most badass character: Of the playable cast, H’annit. Of the non playable cast, Erhardt.

Most epic villain: As much as I hate him, the showdown with Darius was pretty epic with him and Therion exchanging dialogue in battle.

Pairing I am not a fan of: At the risk of singling myself out, Alfyn/Therion. I understand the appeal but I can’t see them as anything beyond platonic.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (one way or another:) Kit I suppose? He’s one of the keys to the true ending but you don’t see him much. It’d be interesting to have him be a more active part of the journey.

Favorite friendship: Cyrus and Alfyn. Fellow seekers of knowledge who strive for the greater good.

Character I most identify with: Cyrus Albright. I’m book smart like he is, I get really dedicated once I find an interest with pursuing, and I always make time for my friends when they need advice. Also, my info dumping happens unprompted.

Character I wish I could be: Primrose, not necessarily for her back story but for her confidence. She’s always very sure of herself and strong in her convictions. And even when she’s unsure about where life will lead her next, Primrose takes it in stride and keeps on dancing.

The thing that baffles me about this ridiculous ship discourse currently happening in my inbox is the fact that I didn’t post about the ship.

The last time I made an original post about the ship was two months ago when I promoted my last fic for it.

This discourse wasn’t prompted by an anti obsessively stalking the ship tag to harass shippers. No, this discourse was brought onto me by me making happy, positive posts about reading the comics. Comics that yes, fall under the same publishing label that the ship in question is in too, but comics that are otherwise entirely unrelated to this. Whole different protagonists and comic runs, not even touching onto or featuring any characters this little hate-fest is about.

So somehow, this asshole got one of my positive posts about me enjoying  the comics on their dash and they decided to then look a ship they dislike up on my blog to check if I ship it to then send me an ask telling me that by shipping this ship I have “no right” to like any comics at all.

Like, hey, if this was at least about the same ballpark (but even then, I always wonder if these people are aware multishippers exist?). But the things is, the thing that makes me shake my head, is the fact that I am specifically not reading these comics because I know that my ship doesn’t exist in them and I know they’re not for me? So... I... don’t... read... them. It’s that simple.

Instead, I seek out comics about characters and ships I do like and am enjoying them.

I just fundamentally can’t wrap my head around people who don’t do this. Who don’t seek out the things they like and instead unhealthily obsess over the things they dislike to the point of stalking and harassing people who like that thing. Can’t imagine what exactly went wrong in these people’s upbringing, honestly.

I had to sit here for awhile like “Fuck who do I talk about—” because oh lordy I have way too many ocs across different fandoms. I’ll… probably go with Megaman ocs to make things simple?? But depending on the question I’ll throw a few other ocs into the mix. 11. If we’re talking about the very first oc I ever created? That would have to be my girl Alex Storm, who I. have not drawn recently I need to get on that huh. She started out as like… a general self insert and ended up becoming an original oc who’s story I’m still working on on and off.

If you mean like, fandom wise? The first MegaMan oc I ever made was actually Float Woman! I haven’t posted about her or the other DTNs as much as I’d like to, but I got the idea to make her after getting introduced to Blast Man (and mega man in general) through watching @milosdumb stream MM11. I just thought it would be funny to make an Uraraka/Uravity kinnie since Blast Man was basically Bakugo under Wily’s control. 23. Mmm… Okay I wouldn’t say she has the “best” fashion, but I think it’s my Pokemon oc Cassiopeia? She generally wears formal/business wear, but that’s. Kinda because she’s the leader of an “evil team” so LMAO. Gotta keep up appearances, plus she likes to look her best in general. Most of my other ocs wear varying styles of casual clothing, and usually range from goth to kinda futuristic to all of the above.

31. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME CHOOSE ONE I HAVE WAY TOO MANY—

Okay so in the case of MM classic, I have at least 3 ships? 4 if you include a more self-indulgent self insert one. This is absolutely subject to change because I am a multishipper and I really enjoy playing with different character dynamics. MM X I really only have one so far, but that is also subject to change. Pokemon… Really only 1 as well since I don’t have too many Poké-ocs, but that’s going to change super fast because I have Ideas™.

I guess since I can only talk about one I. Guess I could talk about BluesJazz?? Uuuh I dunno how in depth I’ll go with it but.

I guess for a little bit of context, Jazz is one of my other MM ocs. I do plan to go more in depth about her at some point but I guess to start, she was built some time after Blues was but about a couple of years before he took off, cuz like. There had to have been other “””prototypes””” after Blues that’s just common sense. you don’t have one “perfect” prototype and start mass-producing, there had to have been other tests by other people. bUT ANYWAY I’M GETTING OFF TRACK BACK TO SHIPPY STUFF—

For the most part I’ve been categorizing their relationship as “Annoyances to lovers” + “We need to stop meeting like this”? Like, the two of them keep running into each other at inopportune times, Plus I’m gonna be honest both of these idiots (affectionate) are snarky in their own way and can be equally as defensive. I genuinely love the idea that these two ultimately become a “bickering married couple”, but it definitely takes some time and effort from both parties. I dunno their dynamic is really fun and I want to talk about it more at some point. 44. I’m going to be 100% honest, depending on the oc I don’t think too too hard about the name? Some of my ocs have do have names that have some sort of meaning behind them (sometimes unintentionally), but a lot of the time I just pick a name that I like or fits with the media, or I just kinda go “Oh. Oh that’s fun.”

The later is especially true for MegaMan ocs, since. Most of the Robot Masters have two word names?? For the most part you really only have to think about what their job is, and base the name off of that.

Off the top of my head, I think one of the ocs I put some of the most thought into name wise was my Lego Monkie Kid oc Ao Qingyun/Feng Yún? Mainly because I haven’t had an oc with a chinese name up until this point, and I wanted to make sure that not only was I was respectful, but her name made sense when it came to being cloud/sky themed. Honestly I’m still not. entirely sure if I did it right if I’m being entirely honest.

So, I'll bite, because I think some of these conversations should be had publicly and not behind the cloak of anon.

Why does it bother you personally if someone ships Kataang and is anti Zuko, if they are not tagging those posts in the Kataang tag?

I have a mutual who hates Zuko and ships Kataang. She keeps her opinions to herself in her own blog, tagging her posts anti zuko just in case. Why is hatred of a fictional character somehow an offense in fandom now? No one is going to die because she thinks Zuko shouldn't have been in the show.

Here's the deal: I only am tangentially involved in ATLA fandom. From what I see, most Kataang fans don't care what other people ship. They want to make their own content and be free of the stupid takes on Aang, Katara and their relationship that permeate their fandom. But even if they did hate or resent multishippers, if they are not calling you out or reblogging your properly tagged ship posts to shit on them, what business is it of yours?

The idea that a Kataang fan who can create content and add to the fandom, but happens to hate Zuko or any other character or ship being a "bad fan" is ludicrous. I don't know why so many people seem to be afraid to say this to you without hiding.

P.S.: It's pretty obvious that one troll anon is writing all of these anons, probably to get you riled up against Kataang fans who are looking at this shit like "wtf?" You and others are being used to spread dissent in a harmless part of fandom, but a person who hates Zuko on their own blog is the problem?

secondly, you have asked some great questions! im gonna try to take them one at a time bc it works best for my brain lolol

1) it does not bother me if the posts are properly tagged! in fact, i don't believe i ever implied it did, so im a little confused on why you bring that up 😂 what does bother me is when unsolicited anti zuko anons barge into my inbox and insist that it's impossible to like zuko and ship kataang and similarly negative rhetoric. bc like. yeah, that's really rude and kills motivation 😂

2) hatred of a fictional character is not a fandom offense! i have simply expressed in the past my personal opinion on my personal blog that i don't understand anti rhetoric bc i can't fathom investing so much time and energy into hatred of a fictional person lmao. but again, the issue is not from properly tagged content, it's from the anons who show up and try to interrogate me about how i can possibly ship kataang and also appreciate zuko,, like hello?? people can have different opinions?? you don't see me going into anyone's inboxes like that, tf 😂 fandom etiquette 101

3) you're right that most kataang shippers don't care what other people ship! my expressing discomfort with a very small portion of the atla fandom does not negate the fact that i love kataang. maybe this is crazy lmao, but i have the range to be uncomfortable with rude anons and anti content (the latter of which is a personal squick and again! if it's appropriately tagged, evidently not what im referring to) while simultaneously acknowledging that a majority of the kataang fandom is a wonderful place. like, i wouldn't make so much kataang content if i hated the fandom hello 😂

4) that's the thing - i have gotten numerous anons who rudely insist that they don't think it's possible for me to ship kataang and also like other aang and katara ships. so you're damn right, i do have a problem with the harassment that i (and some of friends who actually only ship kataang!) have received. i am sure you can understand why it's both hurtful and frustrating for someone to tell me i can't possibly appreciate kataang just because i have other ships for those characters, too. so yes, idc what people do on their personal blogs, but you're damn right i feel hurt when people show up on my blog and criticize what is literally a fun hobby for me. it's unwanted, unnecessary, and im tired of it

5) you're right, that is ludicrous, and i have never once stated that. in fact, i always emphasize the importance of curating one's own online experience! i only have a problem when those people (and others) accuse me of taking positions i have never taken, insist i can't enjoy kataang bc i like zuko and/or other katara and aang ships, and continually harass myself and my friends for it. which like,, im sure you can sympathize 😂

Multishipper challenge — Jiang Yanli! Jiang Cheng!

Heck yes Jiang Sibs! Excellent choice, thank you. I'm going to start with Jiang Yanli, since it's her birthday.

Jiang Yanli

• Xuanli - what can I say? MXTX, Xuan Lu, and Cao Yuchen just did a great job of building that relationship for me. Who of us hasn't turned into an awkward fumbling idiot around a pretty girl? What I really like about them is that Jiang Yanli doesn't force him to change, and circumstances don't really either, all of the people involved (well that we care about, Jin Guangshan can die, again) have accepted the engagement being dissolved. Zixuan just grows up, realises Yanli's good qualities, values her, and decides he's going to treat her as she deserves and I just really love their story.

• Yangli - this is just mostly me deciding that Yanli and Mianmian both deserve good things, and what's a better thing than these queens? Nothing, that's what.

• Yangxuanli - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ look I am just a simple polyshipper okay? OT3(+) all the way. What I love about this one is it gives you the best of arranged marriage + childhood best friends + that one girl from lan camp who made you google "can girls marry girls" the second you got home. I think they would all balance each other really well, and shijie absoLUTEly deserves to have two badasses who would throw hands for her.

• Honourable mention - Sangli because I've read a couple of really good fics with this pairing recently and I really like the dynamic of the two underestimated political powerhouses just quietly arranging everyone around them with a smile.

Jiang Cheng

• Chengqing - again Meng Ziyi and Wang Zhoucheng (particularly WZC) just sold this so well. I love that they don't handwave away the inherent conflict and regrets between them in canon, and it's basically impossible to do anything canon-verse/divergent without digging into the debts and obligations between the Wen Siblings and the Twin Heroes, which is delicious. And then modern aus is just the awesomeness of 'two mean bisexuals who dress nicer than you' so what's not to like?

• Sangcheng - but only modern aus/non-canon. I don't think canon Jiang Cheng ever did or would have respected Huaisang enough for there to be any sort of genuine foundation there. I did read some fics that went the 'Huaisang manipulating Jiang Cheng through sex/romance' route early on and it put me off the whole dynamic, but then I had a few modern au fics recommended where the pressure is off them both a bit and those really worked for me.

• Chengyao/Chengsu/Suchengyao - hear me out I know this is a left field one but I'm just really fascinated by what the dynamic between Carp Tower and Lotus Pier is like during those 16 years and these three are at the middle of that. This is more a platonic ship rather than romantic for me (though I have read some really good fics which play with the romance angle too). Jin Guangyao is too smart not to try and get Jiang Cheng on side, especially once it becomes clear the next heir to Carp Tower is going to be spending a lot of time in Lotus Pier. Meanwhile Qin Su is the closest thing Jiang Cheng has now to a sister, and since I hc him as one of those people who gets on better with women than men I can totally see them becoming friends and trading parenting tips about Jin Ling and Rusong over tea in the gardens at Carp Tower.

• Honourable mention - Jiang Cheng, himself, and he. I do hc Jiang Cheng pretty firmly on the aro and ace spectrums (nobody is THAT purple without being at least a little bit ace and also all my faves are a little bit ace). I actually think in canon the ideal for Jiang Cheng is a reverse of the Wei Parents & Jiang Fengmian dynamic where a pair of wandering wlw cultivators somehow end up at Lotus Pier and then never leave, and two years in they're like 'hey please father our children' and he's like 'ugh fine but one of you has to be my heir then I'm sick of the nagging at conferences' and they're like 'ugh fine' but secretly everyone is quite pleased with the arrangement.

Tell me I am wrong but if it was Haikyuu x Ouran crossover...

Hinata would definitely be Haruhi due to the multiships. As well as him being the main character he would be the center of it all.

Oikawa wouldn't be Tamaki like most people think but Bokuto would be. This is because of both characters their simple and shining personality, as well as self confidence and shyness, and clingy tendencies to the main character and wanting to teach them things. As well his emo phase too.

And with Bokuto comes Akashi, making him Kyoa because face it, he has a cold persona and childhood friends with Bokuto. As well the dude is the brains behind the whole club and secretly planning and scheming behind his dumb best friends back.

The twins would definitely be the Miya twins (Atsumu and Osamu) because 1.) they are twins already and 2.) because they would like flirting with Hinata to make Bokuto suffer.

Asahi would definitely be Mori because he is tall quite bean who looks scary but actually likes to shower Hinata with affection.

Noya would be Honey-Senpai due to his high energy, and close relationship with Asahi. Except his obsession isn’t with cute things, it’s more masculine things due to being so small, such as meat buns?

Honeys brother would be Tsukishima because he does dislike him a lot, but he does still respect him as his elder. I say Tsukishima does respect him still because when he actually says his name he calls him san or senpai using a formal term instead of kun or Chan which is more relaxed.

And the red hair delinquent guy would definitely be Kageyama because he wouldn’t want to admit to himself that he is gay, but he is and likes to tease Hinata constantly. As well he has a scary face which scares everyone off when he just wants to be loved.

Renge (the yaoi fan girl) would be Kiyoko because she is a multishipper probably waiting for the ships to happen.

And in that one episodes when the Red haired delinquent is their eating lunch with Haruhi, she calls her friend who also loves boys love so that would definitely be Yaichi. This would happen because Yaichi does seem like the type to drop everything at Kiyoko's call.

Then obviously his dad would be Suga and not deadchi Daichi because... he "died" in that one game.

Then like all the other volleyball players like Kenma, Kuroo, Oikawa, Lev, and Iwazumi would definitely be tied for Hinata's number one customers because they are loaded and don’t have the strength to ask the ball of sunshine out.

Thanks for the ask! I’m not sure if this was related to the ask game I reblogged recently but in any case, thank you for the opportunity to ramble haha. I am a filthy multishipper, so this list is going to be quite long.

Yixing and Junmyeon are my favourite members, so a lot of my pairings include them.

Xiuho: Junmyeon is high strung and he takes his responsibility very seriously, and Minseok is the only person in Exo who he can trust to take the reins, because Minseok is his only hyung in the group. Though Minseok is technically Junmyeon’s hyung, I remember reading that Junmyeon is quite close with a lot of people born in 1990, so the formalities are often dropped. So there’s this weird relationship between Junmyeon and Minseok where sometimes Junmyeon is Minseok’s leader, sometimes they act like same age friends, and sometimes Minseok is Junmyeon’s hyung. But overall, I think Junmyeon feels a little more casual with Minseok because there are times when he can trust Minseok to take the lead as the hyung. Conclusion: Junmyeon gets to be baby or bro around Minseok instead of having to be leader all the time. And because Minseok is not only hyung but chill hyung, he calms Junmyeon down sometimes.

Seho: In the early days of Exo, Junmyeon was trying really hard to be the cool hyung, being nice to them, paying for their food, giving them affection, etc. He just wanted so badly for them to like him and think he was cool. I’m obsessed with the idea that Sehun has always quietly acknowledged all that Junmyeon did for him. Their relationship has always been Junmyeon looking out for Sehun and protecting him, and Sehun accepting that care. Even now, their relationship is like this, because Sehun has always been receptive to Junmyeon’s love. Conclusion: Junmyeon just wanted to be liked, and Sehun is saying “I see everything that you have done, and indeed I like you.” I feel so overcome with emotion whenever Sehun shows an ounce of love or affection for Junmyeon, because it’s usually Junmyeon who’s projecting his love for Sehun to the world.

Subaek: Both Junmyeon and Baekhyun have very tight idol personas. When they are on screen, they are ON. While they are both acting as idols, they are also aware that the other is also acting as an idol. It’s a double layer of understanding that intrigues me. When Baekhyun is being annoying and Suho is playing along with him, Suho knows that Baekhyun is just playing it up for the camera, and Baekhyun knows that Suho is too. I am very intrigued about what they’re like behind the scenes. It’s very much theoretical, but shipping has never been about canon. Conclusion: I’m intrigued by what Subaek are like when they are unmasked and no longer need to perform. How do they convince each other that it’s okay to let down their guard around each other?

Kyungmyeon: As I mentioned, Junmyeon just wants the dongsaengs to think he’s cool, but Kyungsoo is literally the toughest customer on the planet. I get the sense that he barely reacts to Junmyeon’s attempts at caring for him. There are so many clips of Junmyeon trying to play with Kyungsoo and Kyungsoo’s having none of it. So what happens when one day, Kyungsoo finally reacts to Junmyeon’s attempts at befriending him? Conclusion: Junmyeon keeps giving and giving and now he gets to receive.

Sulay: I feel like Junmyeon and Yixing feel truly relaxed with each other because they are close in age. I think Junmyeon takes age hierarchies seriously (though it gets blurry with the 90ers). I also think he is relaxed with Yixing because Yixing himself is a chill guy. Yixing takes music and dancing seriously, and he’s whatever about everything else. So Yixing balances Junmyeon out. There has also unfortunately been a distance between Yixing and the other Exos, since he’s the only Chinese member, but I get the sense that Junmyeon makes an effort to reach out to Yixing, and he is receptive to that, he sees that Junmyeon is trying to be nice to him, and he appreciates it and returns it in his own Yixing way. Conclusion: Junmyeon has no chill about everything, whereas Yixing is chill about everything except for music and dance, and they balance each other out. Also they are very soft with each other and their clumsy flirting makes me squeal. I love how Yixing went from calling him Suho-hyung to Junmyeon-ah~

Chanxing: They were the first Yixing ship I really obsessed over, and frankly I think my initial obsession with them was kind of shallow. Basically, it was just because I liked Yixing and I thought Chanyeol was hot lmfao. But there is for sure a charm to their relationship. Like I said, there is a bit a difference between Yixing and the Korean members. Chanyeol can bridge that gap through being a jokester. Yixing plays along because he’s a simple guy, he’s not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. If Chanyeol is extending funtimes to him, he will accept, even if he doesn’t totally get it. Conclusion: I like them because Chanyeol will use his jokey jokes to get Yixing to loosen up.

Kaixing: I only got into them recently, so my thoughts on them aren’t fully formed. Jongin is very sensitive to others. Yixing is quiet and doesn’t really talk much about himself. So I love the idea of Jongin sensing that Yixing isn’t saying something, and if it’s something bad, he’ll try to reach out and help him. Conclusion: Jongin is a good boy and notices when Yixing is not alright uwu. Flashbacks to that fanmeet in 2015 where Yixing was crying and had to turn his chair away and Jongin stroked his back (with Junmyeon T_T)

Baekchen: Baekhyun and Jongdae are very different kinds of celebrities. Baekhyun fully leans into the fanservice whereas Jongdae didn’t even want to be an idol to begin with. But it interests me how they make an exception for each other. Jongdae will indulge Baekhyun and Baekhyun will tone himself down a bit to match Jongdae. Even though I think Baekhyun plays up his hyper personality for his idol persona, I think that it comes from some truth, that in real life he is probably a relatively peppy and optimistic guy, whereas Jongdae is more of the typical conservative man. I think their shared history is fun too. how they auditioned together and made it to Exo together. It’s nowhere near a childhood friends story, but they have a little bit of past history that propelled them through their early years, especially since they had such a short training period. Conclusion: I’m interested in how two such different people can fit together so well. We saw in the early years of Exo how affectionate they were with one another. It’s changed as they’ve grown older, but I think their feelings are sitll there.

I’m going to throw in some ex-member pairings because I do quite like them.

Laytao: WYF and Lu Han left Exo because they didn’t want to be there anymore, okay, fine. But Yixing and Zitao wanted to stay. From what I’ve read, Zitao had only left because he was forced to work through his injury and his dad told him to leave. But I’m just imagining what it must’ve been like during OT10 era. Did Yixing and Zitao support each other? Yixing is a calm guy, and Zitao is the opposite, very fiery and dramatic. How do they fit together? Though Yixing is calm, he isn’t totally clueless, and Zitao is actually rather sensitive. Conclusion: How do they support each other when they feel they’ve been abandoned? They are very different, but they share something in common in a land where they’re the outsiders. Does that mean anything to them?

Kailu: Admittedly, the support for this ship is weak, but I read a few fics with this pairing and I am a fan. Basically, in Kailu fics, I think they’re more of a power couple. Lu Han is good looking and smart, and Jongin is confident and striking. I was digging through old forum discussions the other day, and I actually think this ship came about because fans thought they looked good together, despite their lack of canon interactions.

(I also used to be a big fan of Fanxing. For obvious reasons, I am not into them anymore. Admitedly the fictional version of WYF was very interesting to read about.)

There are also a LOT of ships that I am cool with, such as Layhan, Sukai, Sekai, and Hunlay.

D.Gray-Man Tag!

I got tagged by my friend Violet to hop into this little game she made, and there are few things I love more than babbling about DGM, so let’s go! The rules are to tag three people to get the game going, so I’ll do it at the start because this will get looong. I’ll tag @14th-melody, @metzzi and @rudimentor0x0. Here’s the blank post. Sorry if you have already done it, I might’ve missed the posts ;;

⭐ What year did you first get into DGM? Hmm, actually, that’s a hard question because I didn’t get into it right away? If memory serves me right about what grade I was in high school when that happened, I was 15 - so, 2008. Pull a chair, I’ll tell you how that went. It was actually a recommendation from a friend of my best friend; we weren’t particularly close, I just knew he and I had a similar taste for anime/manga and I was looking for getting into a new series... but I wanted it to be worthwhile. So I asked my bestie if her friend wouldn’t give me a rec. He recommended me D.Gray-Man, and just like I do before watching any series, I watched the first opening to get an overall “feel” of it and I quite liked it: cool aesthetic, music was dope, characters were nice-looking. But, for some reason, I didn’t watch it and eventually forgot about it.

Then, one day on my way back home from school, I stopped by a nearby newspaper stand since here they also sell manga. They were all very cheap at that time, so I would often look for new volumes of the titles I was collecting (my allowance was enough to buy two or three!). I saw DGM’s first volume there, and went “oh! It’s that one series he had recommended me! I’ll take it and finally give it a shot.”

I fell in love.

I really liked it at first, but the point where DGM completely won my heart was during Lala’s arc. I had never cried with a manga before. 

⭐ Who’s your favorite character? This is probably very unoriginal, but it’s Allen! At the start I was very lukewarm about him, but as time went on, I felt like I could relate more and more to that kind-hearted boy and he became my role model. DGM has been with me through some of the worst of my life, and Allen’s resolve to keep going, keep walking, no matter how hard things were for him was what motivated me many times in past. It still does. Allen also taught me to be kinder and through him I realized being there for others makes me truly happy. Sadly, I also share with him the same trait of being unable to truly see how appreciated I am and all the good I bring others just for being there... But I’m working on that! He became the first character I felt like I could fully relate to, and I was surprised - but still very happy - to realize that, now that I’m an adult with more experience and maturity, I feel like I can understand him even more and better than before. Our connection didn’t wane with time, I feel so much closer to him now. He’s very special to me.

Standing at the second spot - because it’s also fair I would mention her -, is Miranda! I always say that if Allen didn’t exist, Miranda would be my number 1 since she stands so close to him hahaha After him, she’s another character I deeply relate with. My self-esteem isn’t the best out there so I’m quick to think I’m worthless or useless, just like her. Even so, she wouldn’t give up. Every time I felt like giving up because of auto depreciation, I would think “Miranda would try again, she would work harder”.

It’s like the two of them were walking me through the steps so I could move forward and keep doing my best.

⭐ Who’s your least favorite character? I’m going to say Chaozii. But, before we get to the usual “Chaozii slander” we’re used to doing in this fandom, let me elaborate. It has nothing to do with him not siding with Allen. As much as I love Allen, I know we’re able of sympathizing with his ideals because as the readers we have a plethora of information on his motives; if not for that, we would probably take the same stance as Chaozii has taken about him.

What riles me about Chaozii is that, unlike all of the characters, his mindset is either black or white, good or bad. Everyone seems to have a perfect mix of both, showing many facets just like, well, real, imperfect people. Chaozii is the only one who doesn’t have that. Being simple-minded is not a bad trait, but when that clouds your judgement, then it turns into a bad thing.

It all fell apart when he snapped at Allen when he refused to kill Tyki. That particularly bothered me a ton, even if I understand his feelings. Chaozii, who thought it was wrong and cruel to kill humans and was grieving for his lost comrades, was fine with killing a human whom he wasn’t even sure if was being forced to do things or not. Do you see the issue here? Chaozii never feels to me like he’s striving to do the right thing in order to bring justice, but instead, because he wants revenge.

I hope he does get to learn one thing or two in the future. He has potential to be a great character; but he needs a “redemption” first.

⭐ Who’s your favorite general? Tiedoll! Although I like all of them for different reasons. I really love Cross and differently from what some people think, he did care for Allen and I love their rather dysfunctional relationship. He’s a much deeper character than just a womanizer full of fishy shenanigans. He’s also really badass: former scientist, user of magic, (former) wielder of both an Innocence of his own and another person’s (Grave of Maria). I just happen to love Tiedoll a liiiittle more because I can’t take this guy! He’s just so sweet, and his doting nature makes him both funny and lovely. General Sokalo is really cool and all, but I feel like he’s just a cool guy to me. On a side note, General Klaud could step on me and kill me and I’d thank her. I hope we get to learn more about her Innocence sometime.

⭐ Who’s a character you would get along with? I would love to say it’s Allen, but he’s someone really hard to get close to. If I think about the characters I’d like to befriend because of shared traits or interests, I think I could get along well with Miranda, Krory, and Marie. The first two because they’re two softies who just happen to be really awkward, I feel like I would probably befriend them after trying to comfort them too often. And, the latter, because I’m a person who likes calm company whom I can have honest talks with.

⭐ What kind of innocence would you have? I honestly have no idea. If I had to pick one from the ones we already have, I think I would go with the Dark Boots. Being able to fly and maneuver in mid-air would be a dream come true, I feel the happiest when the wind blows against me. If I have to think of something “for me” specifically, I think I would like a long range Innocence. I particularly like firearm-like weapons like guns, so maybe a gun or dual pistols? Yeah, I think I’d really like the dual pistols.

⭐ What’s your favorite ship? Ah, to be in the DGM fandom is to be a multishipper; yet this is the part where I always get nervous at because my favorite is a rarepair. But!!! I’m building up the courage to be more open about (and less self-judgmental of) the things I like. It’s Allen x Miranda. I don’t really know when it started; from what I said before, you already know they’re both my top favorite characters and very special to me, so I naturally loved it when I saw them sharing screentime. When I realized it, I was looking at them and thinking “they would make such a cute couple together”. It just kinda happened.

To keep this short, there’s this blog I really like explaining about this pair’s dynamics. I think they have a great dynamic together and much potential. They could very easily have a wholesome relationship based in lots of patience and mutually covering the other’s weaknesses and helping them become someone better. These are the best kinds of relationships imo. I hope to share some of my headcanons for them (and even writing, hopefully!) sometime in here. I always picture Allen being older, so that gives me some free room for creativity; it doesn’t look like he has time for romantic love right now, and I don’t really feel comfortable with him being a minor for this ship, so both things go hand in hand.

Honorable mentions go to Link x Allen (again, older!Allen), Yulma and LaviLena, as I also get super happy when I see these particular shippings. 

⭐ What’s your least favorite ship? I actually have some, but it goes against my policies to publicly (consciously) say negative things about certain things if I can help it. I know I’m allowed to have opinions, but you never know who can stumble upon it and what I dislike can be something that makes someone really happy, you know? I tend to stay silent about such things when it comes to something as harmless as shippings.

So, I think I can say I’m accepting of everything as long as everyone respects each other! And, of course, if it isn’t distasteful (as in, illegal).

��� What branch would you want to be part of? We’ve only seen the European and Asian branches properly before but even if there aren’t many choices, this is still a hard question; I think both have lots of good things going for them. I think I would probably want to settle with the Asian Branch! I love how lively the atmosphere is and I also feel like there are way less science division shenanigans in there... Sorry, Komui. 

⭐ What’s your favorite arc? I have three! The Rewinding City arc came right after Lala’s arc - that had touched me a lot -, bringing in even more feels. It introduced Miranda and at the blink of an eye, made me care so much about her. The first activation of Time Record after she protected Allen, followed by his thanks to her hit so hard; I get really emotional talking about it. It was such a great, yet touching moment. I think everyone can relate to that; being worthy of receiving gratitude for something they did for someone.

Then, there’s Lulu Bell’s Invasion of the Black Order arc, followed by the appearance of the Level 4 Akuma. I can’t express into words how great the flow of the elements are there. The plot is focusing on multiple characters with their own background dramas happening, all at once, yet none of it feels out of place. Everyone gets their moment, everyone contributes to the big picture (saving the staff and defeating the Akumas). It all felt like one big collective effort of several parts uniting forces, no one was more or less important than the other. It was expertisely done.

And the last mention goes to the Searching for A.W’s arcs (Saying Goodbye to A.W also included). These arcs are being extremely painful but, at the same time, also extremely rewarding to go through. For the first time ever, we’re seeing Allen give in to his wants and acknowledge his feelings; he’s not honest with himself very often, and seeing him actually admit that he still wanted to go on - for himself -, that he still wanted to hold onto hope was something that I suddenly realized I had always wanted to see him do. It’s like I had been waiting for so long. Allen is growing up, and I’m loving to see the part Johnny and Kanda are playing in this. I could talk all day about how happy it makes me, to feel this much hope in the midst of such a difficult situation these arcs are covering. It captures very well the essence of D.Gray-Man imo: the bittersweetness of the hardships of life, and the good things it makes us realize we have had all along. The people we have by our side. The will to continue moving forward because we still have something we love and want to fight for.
