so i was writing fic and i started thinking about things and i really don’t know enough about history in depth so i’m gonna need someone to weigh in on this for me lmao.

I wonder how many followers I’m about to lose.

So, I try to keep personal stuff on my personal blog, separate from this blog, because I know you come here for the silly quotes and I don’t want to distract you from that or upset you when you’re just coming here for a quick laugh.

But this kinda trumps all of that.

There is a genocide happening right now. Palestinians are being slaughtered with the very clear intent of wiping them off the map.

I am dirt poor with very little prospects. I have very little money to spend on charities or relief funds or even people’s personal gofundmes for things like just getting out of Palestine before they die.

But I do have this blog, and I have all of the wonderful people who keep coming back here, day after day, to get a little laugh. I hope to keep this blog going for as long as I can so I can keep you laughing for as long as I can.

But this is where I have to play the panhandler and ask for some of that good will back. I have to. This is too huge NOT to.

If you have any money, any at all, to spare, please look into the various relief programs or personal gofundmes that can increase Palestinians’ chances for survival. Every little bit helps.

And if you’re like me and you have absolutely no money to spare, try checking out Arab.org. It’s a clever little site where, by clicking on each of their tabs daily, you watch a very short advertisement that increases revenue for their charity.

If even half of my followers made the effort of clicking each tab on that site on a daily or even semi-daily basis, it would make a world of difference to a lot of people.

Shigaraki can play the piano but won't. Kurogiri made him learn as part of developing hand dexterity so he won't accidentally destroy things. He's horribly out of practice tho bc he won't play if anyone but Kurogiri can hear. And if anyone asks, he can't. Only Kurogiri is allowed to hear him play piano.

A Dreamling Blind Date AU.

We all know Morpheus has a horrible track record when it comes to romance.

So what if his family comes together and decide that obviously he can’t be trusted so they’re gonna help him out and set him up with someone.

Death is probably the one to convince him to actually give it a chance.

They’re of course all disasters because Morpheus is Morpheus ie one of the most awkward beings to ever exist.

1) he’s naturally a closed off guy, he’s got like 3 friends (including his oldest sister) 2) he’s even more closed off when it comes to dates because he has been BURNED by the past 3) he’s uncomfortable from the out set because he didn’t want to do this but he promised his siblings he’d at least try (which in his head amounts to just showing up)

So yeah - total disasters. There are no offers for second dates

The ONLY THING getting him through this whole ordeal is the bartender/waiter that always seems to be working during his dates (they all take place at the White Horse/The New Inn of course)

Hob Gadling is a BLESSING during these times

When Morpheus shows up early Hob helps calm him down and keeps him from walking right back out the door. Hob’s there with a sympathetic ear after the bad date. He maybe-accidentally-totally-on-purpose spills a drink on the rudest person to help end the worst date quickly

Possible ending 1 - Morpheus stops by the pub once he’s run through all his siblings choices, silently lamenting the whole thing starting to wonder if he is doomed to be alone when Hob decides fuck it and throws his own hat in the ring and ask Morpheus out. The first time they ever meet outside of the pub is for their own date.

Possible ending 2 - the final date doesn’t actually go that bad, might even be a moderate success but Morpheus still feels like something isn’t right. Maybe the date points out, or his single brain cell works and be realizes on his own, that he seemed more interested in the man behind the bar than his date. Morpheus decides to take the initiative and ask him out

Possible ending 3 - Death’s choice is the final date and she picks Hob after realizing that whenever Morpheus recaps the dates be always ends up talking more about the bartender than the person he was on the date with

Bonuses

The worst date was definitely Desire’s choice. While a part of them does want Morpheus to find love the younger sibling instinct kicked in and they couldn’t resist the chance to fuck with their older brother.

(They make up for this by offering helpful advice when help the other siblings pick out their choices)

Death was the one to suggest holding all the dates at the White Horse/New Inn

This is post Calliope and Orpheus which is the main reason Morpheus is so reluctant to participate in these dates

Morpheus eventually admits this to Hob who in turn tells him about Eleanor and Robyn.

First off, let’s all be honest with ourselves, Smolder has already been to juvie. This girl has 100% shoplifted from multiple storefronts and she is not sorry.

Gallus too, but he’s a little bit more broken up about it and mainly just did it for food when he was starving. He also managed to avoid juvie due to equal parts Grandpa Gruff intervening on his behalf and just Griffonstone having such crap infrastructure that the cases never really went to any kind of official court.

Yona has a few assault and destruction of property charges under her belt, but she’s thankfully managed to avoid jail time due to equal parts being genuinely willing to either pay or work off the damages to settle out of court, a lot of those assault charges being ruled in self-defense, and just the reluctant acceptance that no prison could ever hold her.

Silverstream has never committed a crime before meeting her friends, but she’s since tried to in order to be arrested because she wanted to know what it was like, especially after finding out so many of her friends are ‘hardened criminals’. So far, her crime sprees have involved graffiti and other forms of public art. Said graffiti was so beautiful that one of the store owners even paid her for the ‘commission’.

Sandbar is so freaking pure that cartoon birds braid his hair. The closest this boy has ever gotten to committing a crime is accidentally loitering, after which he wrote an apology letter to the store owners.

You would think, because of her family, that Swift Foot would probably have the biggest laundry list of crimes out of all her friends. But in practice, every bad thing she’s ever done has always been on the orders of her father. Meaning they’re not officially recognized as crimes in Thrace because it was the will of their king. The one bad thing she did outside of Thrace’s borders was the whole Feats of Friendship thing, and that was more just a dick-move than it was an actual crime.
