OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding three missing children after their mother refused to cooperate with the Department of Children and Families.

According to the sheriff’s office, they received an order to take custody of Lashawd Janvier, 14, Loveson Janvier,13, and Danylah Janvier, 9, over concerns for their wellbeing.

Deputies say their mother, Demelia Gates, 34, will not produce the children so they can be seen. The children were last seen on May 11 with Gates at the Roadway Inn on East Silversprings Boulevard.

She left another child at the motel and never returned. The child is in the custody of DCF. As a result, a warrant has been issued for Gates’ arrest for unlawful desertion of a child.

Amigos, hermanos en la fe y familia,

Es tiempo de dar gracias. Y queremos comenzar nuestra carta dando gracias al Señor por Su fidelidad y acompañamiento de todos estos años, en especial en este tiempo tan difícil que vive la nación de Haití. Gracias a todos ustedes que nos sostienen con sus oraciones, ofrendas y donativos. Por todo y por todos, agradecidos al Señor.

A pesar de la difícil situación actual política y económica que está sufriendo la nación de Haití, y nosotros en la frontera sur, hemos continuado con los proyectos todo el año. Los controles continúan, no podemos pasar las motoras y sigue el control de lo que se transporta de un lado a otro como lo son la gasolina o los alimentos. Muy a pesar de ello, Papo, misionero nacional, ha podido continuar llevando a cabo las diferentes actividades con los niños de Refige.

La Iglesia del Niño celebra sus actividades en las nuevas facilidades que se acondicionaron y pudimos hacer unos salones improvisados para las clases bíblicas dominicales. Tenemos un acomodo de 101 niños y jóvenes cada domingo.

Cómo les mencioné en mi carta anterior, el Equipo de MHF estuvo acompañando al equipo médico Ministerio Proyecto de Vida 2022 de Florida y a la Asoc. Iglesias Cristianas de Avivamiento Internacional, los días del 1 al 4 de agosto en la Comunidad de Parc Cadot, al norte de Ansapit. Los hermanos de Puerto Rico de la Asoc. de Iglesias han estado trabajando en la construcción del Templo de la Iglesia de está comunidad desde 2019.

El Ministerio Proyecto de Vida 2022 dirigido por la Pastora Nilsa Ramos de Mission Saving Lives de Florida, llevó a cabo la clínica de Salud y otras actividades para los niños y familias de la comunidad. Distribución de ropa, zapatos, alimentos y dulces para niños y adultos.

La Asoc. Iglesias Cristiana de Avivamiento Int’l y la representación de Puerto Rico dirigida por el Pastor Alejandro Robles, inauguraron las nuevas facilidades de la Iglesia en Parc Cadot que pastorea el Pastor Eddie Pierre.

Asoc. Iglesias Cristiana de Avivamiento Int’l y la representación de Puerto Rico dirigida por el Pastor Alejandro Robles.

Tuvimos también la presentación de niños en la inauguración del Templo en agosto 2022.

Back to School 2022-2023. Ecole Ansapit, Haití. Las clases estaban programadas para dar comienzo el día 3 de octubre. Gracias a la respuesta de todos ustedes, entregamos a los niños sus mochilas. Las libretas que se usan en Ansapit las pudimos conseguir a tiempo y las pudimos entregar junto a otros útiles escolares. Por la situación que tenemos presente en la frontera, las clases fueron atrasadas unas semanas. Pero ya los niños están en sus clases gracias al Señor.

Becas Ecole 2022-2023. Ecole La Maison Des Petits, Kinder. Este año escolar pudimos adoptar y becar a 6 de nuestros niños de Kindergarten. Bertrand Wisley. Jean Leiby. Charles Nedfine. Jacksaint Loveson. Louis Vensky. Guerson.

Ecole-Orfanato que dirige Linda Latouch en la frontera sur de Pedernales. Hemos adoptado este proyecto durante el año 2022, proveyéndoles de material escolar y alimentos. Esto se hace posible cada vez que las finanzas nos alcanzan. Tiene una matrícula de 80 niños y niñas.

Bautismos en Refige. Sábado, 20 de agosto. Desde el verano de 2019 comenzamos a discipular los jóvenes de 12-15 años y otros mayores, que comenzaron a llegar a la Iglesia del Niño Refige cada domingo para las clases de la Escuela Bíblica Dominical, Pr. Gustavo estuvo a cargo de estos jóvenes. Ocho de ellos aceptaron al Señor públicamente y los fuimos preparando para el bautismo. El pastor Wilbert, que pastorea la iglesia de la comunidad y quien ha sido nuestro colaborador y mentor, nos invitó a formar parte de los bautismos que celebraría en este verano 2022. Dos de nuestros jóvenes candidatos a bautismos tuvieron un Discipulado con el resto de la comunidad de fieles en su iglesia y fueron bautizadas. Ayúdanos a continuar orando por nuestros niños y jóvenes.

Iglesia del Niño Refige. ¡Dios nos sigue sorprendiendo! Gracias a una de nuestras “colaboradoras” pudimos comprar gravilla y acondicionar el suelo del local que permite que no se levante tanto el polvo. Luego los niños y jóvenes nos ayudaron a limpiarlo, levantar las estacas, y tenerlo listo con unas lonas que compramos que nos cubre para dos salones. Y así se ve ahora… Damos gracias a Dios y toda la gloria le pertenece.

Septiembre mes de la Biblia. La Fundación Mies de Puerto Rico nos regaló la nueva versión de la Biblia para niños con dibujos en francés MANGA. 

Y así dimos inicio al mes de septiembre celebrando el mes de la Biblia. La mayoría de nuestros niños y jóvenes leen en francés, así que tuvo una acogida inmediata. Damos gracias a la Fundacion Mies de PR por está aportación.

Discipulado en la Eglise de Parc Cadot, a través del Centro de Capacitación para Pastores y Líderes de Ansapit, Fundado en 2017 #CCPLA. Mes de septiembre 2022. 

En está comunidad, más al norte de Anse-a-Pitres, con la que siempre hemos colaborado desde el 2015, comenzamos el primero de septiembre impartiendo el Nivel 1 de Discipulado. El pastor Eddie Pierre y su hijo Edward, líder de la iglesia, nos habían solicitado que iniciáramos este curso para Pastores y líderes de su iglesia. Iniciamos el Discipulado Nivel 1 con material que nuestro hermano Iván Tirado nos dejó preparado en el idioma de creol haitiano. Una gran bendición esta nueva experiencia del Discipulado. ¡Preguntaron cuándo comenzamos el Nivel 2! Hay entusiasmo y deseos de conocer más. Oramos por todos ellos para que el Señor los fortalezca en su fe y les de nuevas experiencias en El.

Proyectos futuros: Clases de alfabetización. Cómo resultado de las clases de Discipulado, nos dimos cuenta de que muchos de nuestros pastores y líderes de está comunidad no sabían escribir ni leer. Conocen de la Biblia, y han memorizado muchos versos, pero no leer dentro del contexto. Esto dificulta mucho la interpretación de las lecturas. Ellos estuvieron de acuerdo y les propusimos iniciar un curso de alfabetización. Deje cómo responsable a Pastor Eduard, líder de la iglesia. Ya les contaré cómo se va desarrollando.

Nuestro lema: Una familia, una comunidad a la vez… Es el lema que hemos adoptado de Planeta Feliz Ong.  Esta es Emilien y su nuevo bebé recién nacido. Emilien es una de mis estudiantes en la Clase de Español, viven en Refige. Estuvimos visitándola y dando gracias a Dios por este bebé y toda su familia, que el Señor los bendiga.

Motivos de oración:

Acompañanos a orar por todos estos proyectos que llevamos a cabo en la frontera sur de Haití, en el pueblo de Anse-a-Pitres. 

Por nuestros niños y jóvenes de la Comunidad de Refige.

Por la iglesia del Niño en la Comunidad de Refige.

Por los misioneros nacionales Papo, Nina y Pastor Gustavo, y por sus familias.

Por este semestre escolar en Haití que ha estado tan complicado.

Por la nación de Haití. Que el Señor sane esta tierra que tanto la necesita, y restaure la situación política y económica del país. Que ponga líderes que tengan un corazón dispuesto a servir a la nación. Y quite toda corrupción.

Por más obreros. Hay mucho trabajo todavía por completar. 

Por nuestras finanzas como ministerio.

Por mi familia y mi salud. Que el Señor me renueve las fuerzas y me de sabiduría para continuar la tarea.
