That's my bad
That fateful day at Driftmark two very important things happened and only one thing changed the course of Daemons life.
The first thing that happened was Aemond, his nephew, lost his eye. Very gruesome. Very sad. Very bad. Moving on.
The second and most important thing to happen was the presentation of Rhaena, his youngest daughter, and Lucerys, his great nephew. The screams, the chaos, the anger, the fear and the bloodshed drove the two into early presentation.
Rhaena and Lucerys were Omega's. Not just any Omega's though.
Royal Omega's descended from the Targaryen and Valeryon bloodlines.
The last Omega royal in Westeros was Rhaenys Targaryen, beloved sister-wife of Aegon the conqueror.
So, when Daemon and Rhaenyra entered the hall the first thing the Alpha prime picked up on was the scent of distressed Omega's. Distressed children, their scents still had that milk and honey after tones most pups had and so he stood closer and released calming pheromones.
Not exactly something he uses a lot but if he had to do so to calm the little ones he would.
He first looked at his youngest daughter, crying and shaking but no longer hysterical within her grandmothers' arms. She smelled of Seabreeze, from her alpha mother, fire, from him, and exotic fruits. The ones that were always sweet. She glanced at him, and he gave her a nod of reassurance. She would be safe for he was here, and he would kill anyone who came close to her.
Once she looked away and had fully burrowed into her grandmother's side did, he look away and his nose led him to the second scent and oh wasn't that a surprise.
Sea salt, from Laenor, Fire, from Rhaenyra, and Citrus fruits. The boy was a Valeryon with Arryn colourings. How fitting that the Omega would take after his grandmother more than his mother.
Rhaenyra was stepping forward and talking, they were all talking, discussing the missing eye and the fight but Daemon did not care.
Could they not, see?
Could they not open their eyes and look at the two most important beings right in front of them?
Two Omega's!
Both born from Targaryen and Valeryon bloodlines! Both presented at the same time! This is what Daemon would call a sign from the God's!
Then it happened those words shot through his ears like an arrow.
"Ser Criston bring me the eye of Lucerys Valeryon!" Alicent said and before the knight could set foot near the young Prince, Daemon had drawn dark sister and run him through.
He put his sword through the man's abdomen and angled it up towards one of his lungs. As soon as it was pierced the hall fell silent and they listened to the Knights sick gurgling as he choked on his own blood.
Daemon watched the life drain from his eyes before he removed his sword. He used his shirt to remove the blood before sheathing the sword and looked up.
The hall had gone still and silent.
Alicent had gone for Viserys's dagger, and Rhaenyra, the she-dragon she was, was ready to defend her sons with her own body, Corlys had dragged Lucerys and Jacaerys behind him while the Driftmark soldiers surrounded them, Rhaenys had covered Baela and Rhaena's ears and eyes before she too was surrounded by guards.
Otto Hightower stepped forward to speak, most likely smooth over the fact that his daughter tried to hurt the heirs to the throne's son and the heir to Driftmark, but Daemon held his finger up, telling the man to hold his tongue.
He looked around him and could see the little ones peeking out from behind their protectors.
"It absolutely sickens me what is happening here," he started and as soon as Alicent went to yell at him he held his finger up to her as well.
"I feel for the boy who decided to claim a dragon, truly I do. My brother and I can attest that we have done the same bull-headed thing but what I do not sympathize with is his way of doing so. Syrax has laid another clutch, Rhaenyra had told me she wished to give one to Rhaena, my daughter was made aware. This boy took a dragon, commendable on his part, truly brave, but then he proceeded to gloat of it and call into question the legitimacy of his nephews, which could have them put to death. He spits fire and brimstone at them, and they are expected to take it. To make matters worse they fight, as all children do and when That boy, a boy of ten holds a rock over the heirs, heir prepared to bash his skull open, what did you expect to happen?!" Daemon seethed at the people around them.
It was still quiet.
He turned his attention to the youngest of his nephews.
"Who told you these vile rumours about your nephew?" Daemon asked.
His lone eye looked left to right before settling on a figure, "Aegon told me,” He said and Daemon saw Viserys grow angry.
"Aegon who told you these things and don't think of lying to me like your brother just did. I am not your father nor am I one of your guards, I will beat it out of you, I am a Prince as well."
Aegon looked around before finally meeting Daemons eyes and the older man could see the young man realizing it's not worth it.
"Mother and Grandsire told us that our nephews are bastards because of their hair and because none of them look like Ser Laenor," Aegon said and there flew the gasps and the whispers.
Daemon looked around before clearing his throat.
"Need I remind all of you that Aemma Arryn, our Good Queen who was taken too soon, had brown hair before it turned Targaryen white? Or that Rhaenys Valeryon, our Queen who never was, had her mother, Jocelyne Baratheon's brown hair before it turned Targaryen white? Both after they gave birth to their firstborns?" Daemon asked and once again the cogs were turning the dot's connecting and conclusions drawn.
"Now that it has all been cleared up, I would like to know why is it that when in danger the Princess is surrounded by the Driftmark guards, all of whom looked ready to kill should any harm come to her, and not by the Kings guard, those sworn to protect her?" That made Viserys pause before he looked around. The idea was planted.
"Now back to what I really wanted to discuss. You all stand in the presence of not one but two, newly presented royal Omega's. Rhaena and Lucerys have presented and all you can do is trade insults, spread rumours and try and kill each other. Show some decency for fuck's sake!" He yelled at them.
At least they had the decency to look ashamed.
He turned his back on them all before he held out his arms.
"Rhaena, Lucerys, come here," he beckoned them and before Lucerys left Corlys's side he nodded to the man. Telling him to ensure the Queen does not try running at Lucerys again.
The two Omega's stepped closer and Daemon scooped them up, one on each arm before he turned and faced Viserys and the rest of the court.
"Tonight, has been a long night and it has also been a tiring day. My daughters lost their mother, and my great nephews were attacked. I would like for us all to be dismissed and go back to bed so that we might continue this conversation tomorrow without having to worry about anyone running at children with swords," he did not give them time to respond, only turned around and walked out of the hall with the two Omega's in his arms and the other children following closely behind, even his nephews.
He led them to the nursery, where little Joffrey was sleeping soundly in his crib before he sat the two of them down on the blankets and pillows that were on the floor. The makeshift nest made for all the pups.
He tucked Rhaena and Luke in before he did the same to Baela, Jace, Heleana and her worm, for some reason, before he turned to Aegon.
Aemond would only be allowed to join them when the Measters were done with him but up until then he would stay within the measters chambers to recover.
Aegon looked as if he would rather be anywhere else.
Daemon approached him, he smelled of wine, he looked more sober now than ever and given tonight's events he most likely was.
He looked down on the young boy and he saw him squirm.
"You are an Alpha of house Targaryen. Younger brother to the next Queen. Pull yourself upright and start acting like it." Deamon ordered.
Aegon went to protest, all he ever did was protest, it seemed but Daemon cut him off.
"You might not realize it but these little ones behind me are your charges. As their older Uncle and brother, it is up to you to protect them and break up their fights when needed. You are their protector, and they do not need a drunk protector. They need their Uncle Aegon to be there for them."
Aegon's mouth fell open before he nodded his head and walked past Daemon towards the nest.
There were no discussions held the next morning for Laenor had "died". Daemon had no idea how it happened, but he was very certain that the corpse was not Laenor.
He and Rhaenyra married later that week, Corlys was against it at first but upon realizing that it would keep his granddaughters closer to him he insisted on officiating the wedding to ensure it was done right.
After the wedding, after Daemon and Rhaenyra bedding each other frequently it happened.
Daemon 'the rogue prince' Targaryen would be found at Dragonstone or Driftmark doing whatever Lucerys and Rhaena wanted.
If Rhaena wanted him to help her buy dresses he would do it. If Lucerys wanted him to take him flying, he would do it.
Daemon loved all the children equally and fully, but everyone agreed that the two Omega's had him wrapped around their pinkie fingers.
Most of the realm held the belief that Daemon would kill Rhaenyra's older boys to ensure his children sit the thrown but those were all snuffed out when the Princess and her brood attended a tourney in the Vale.
House Arryn were celebrating a marriage, and the entire realm was invited.
King Viserys, as weak, as tired and sick as he was, attended along with his second wife and their children.
Daemon, to the disappointment of everyone, refused to enter the tourney stating he had other things to do.
Rhaena, the sweet girl, was wrapped around her stepmothers middle the whole day and refused to let go of the Alpha woman for more than a few seconds, the Princess indulged her stepdaughter to no end and continued with her day as if nothing was amiss.
Then came the shock.
Daemon Targaryen was walking around the camps with nine name days old Lucerys, tucked safely within his arms, indulgently answering any questions the young Omega's asked him. Even going so far as to buy him whatever he wanted from the stalls.
It would be later in the tourney, the fifth day, that Deamon Targaryen would beat a Lannister Knight to death with his bare hands that the entire realm exhaled at the idea of the Rogue Prince killing any of Rhaenyra's boy's.
It is said that after consuming copious amounts of ale the Knight sat himself down next to Daemon and started talking like no other. It was only when the Knight started talking of Lucerys that the prince paid attention. The Knight spouted off and on about how the young Omega would make a good bargaining chip and that any Lord would be lucky to have his womb, then proceeded to say that the prince would have to find a good match for the boy unless he wants to be sat with a useless Omega son.
It was gruesome, to be sure, but everyone agreed then that Daemon would rather kill than sell any of Rhaenyra's boys off like cattle.
Then came the realms horror.
Daemon raised Rhaena and Lucerys to be every bit Targaryen as they were meant to. The two Omega's were considered to be the most spoiled to ever live, and some of the Omega's in Essos were given whatever they wanted for free.
Rhaena "The Bejewelled" Targaryen-Valeryon was named that because whenever one would see her, she would have jewels on. On her fingers, around her ankles, around her wrists, up her arms, around her neck and in her hair. A seamstress from Essos had been commissioned to make her a dress made from the finest jewels for the girls fourteenth name day. She only had the most expensive and lovely perfumes gifted to her and her grandfather even went as far as commissioning a ship in her name. The Jewelled Rhaena was best known for its reflection. Corlys has asked the boat builder to put only the best and brightest jewels into the mast.
Lucerys "The Pearl of Driftmark" Valeryon was named as such for his pale skin, resembling a pearl, his dragon Arrax, smaller than Syrax but somehow more spoiled than she, and all the pearls he had. Lucerys always wore pearls within his hair. His sword, something Omega's never wore for it took away from their beauty, had a hilt of pearls. The same Seamstress from Essos commissioned to make Rhaena's dress made Lucerys's dress shirts, tunics and pants. There was one pair of pants the entire realm adored. Tight black leather pants and on the outside seams, on each side, sewn into the fabric were some of the tiny but beautiful pearls ever found. Corlys, never one for small gestures, build a ship for his grandson as well. The Pale Pearl had big and small pearls encrusted into the ships wheel.
Both The Jewelled Rhaena and The Pale Pearl could always be seen traveling the same routes together and like all in the Valeryon fleet the sailors onboard the ship always held it up like a badge of honour.
Just like the two ships you could always find Rhaena and Lucerys together. Always busy with something important.
Spoiled to no end by their families the two Omega's have never been told no. Daemon Targaryen being the biggest supporter of such rule for his two Omegan children would indulge them even into his old age.
Lucerys and Rhaena had travelled all the Seven Kingdoms, something no one could say no to when they asked, they stayed with Lords and Ladies, dined with them, traded with them and even stolen a few hearts.
Out of all the Targaryen children, all who came before them really, they were given much more freedom and leeway, and the Realm loved and hated it.
For the two Omega Royals could smile so pretty, as they set ablaze an entire castle.

Imagine Aemond and Aegon Targaryen take you as their wife. (+21)
***
The king is on the throne room, listening to the babbling of his nobles. Today’s topic concerns the marriage of his sons. Since the queen only delivered him boys, Viserys is not inclined to search for a bride that is not a Targaryen. And despite the strong protests of his wife, there is a good solution for it that might also appeal to his brother, Daemon, as well as that follows the Targaryen tradition: betrothing his daughter to Aegon.
In the meantime this occurs, whilst the solution is agreed between the king and the council, no one can foretell what a simple arrangement might result. And so whilst they are leaving in discussions concerning Aemond’s betrothal, let us take a look at what is happening outside these quarters.
Notwithstanding the fact that you are the daughter of the feared and powerful Daemon Targaryen, who took residence at Dragonstone with his sister-wife Rhaenyra Targaryen, you are everything he is not.
Sweet tempered, gentle, kindhearted and good. Your wit is as sharp as any sword, your tongue, when provoked, cut as hard as any iron. You are patient, often tolerant to others flaws. This makes you a great companion to all.
As the only daughter of Prince Daemon and Princess Rhaenyra, it does surprise to those who know them for a long while that you came up with a different personality. Regardless, they spoil you and only want the best for you. And Daemon knows that by the time of your marriage age, he is not marrying you to anyone. Perhaps your father is aiming higher than you know.
You’ve grown close to your brothers: Jace being close to you in age has always been your twin. But you were also close to Luce, a sort of mother to Joffrey, Viserys and Aegon. Being the only lady amidst these men also meant that you were very protective by them.
Now years went by and you are a well formed women, whose uncle requested you to spend some time at court—probably in ignorance of the plans arranged for you between him and your parents.
Your oldest brother, Jacaerys, is already married to his cousin Baela Velaryon, all the whilst Lucerys is married to her sister, Rhaena. Joffrey is betrothed to Sara Stark, and even Viserys and Aegon are about to be betrothed to some good noble lady. You remain unmarried, though.
This idea does not occupy your thoughts for many times since you prefer to spend your time helping your mother, with whom you are very close, and flying your dragon, Dreamfyre. Due to your introspective and intense nature, it is in the air where you feel mostly… free and wild, a side you like to keep to yourself.
But ever since you’ve been summoned by the king, you suspect your liberty and wilderness are about to be end. Resigned to your sense of duty—for duty means to sacrifice who you are, or part of it anyways—, you speak nothing of the matter.
“Remember, my daughter, who you truly are”, your mother, who is carrying another child in her belly, speaks to you in the day you are departing to King’s Landing next to your father. “A Targaryen, no more, no less. Equal to all.”
You understand that she and the Queen Alicent do not always see eye to eye. The subtle warning is there, but you too have your share of pride. You smile.
“I shall not disappoint you, mother.”
“I know you won’t. You are my daughter, every bit of me is in you.”
That saying, Rhaenyra kisses your forehead and you are finally ready to leave.
***
Aegon is waiting impatiently for his betrothal. With Aemond by his side, both brothers can only conjecture about the cousin whom they last saw when everyone was a toddler. Both recollect you differently: Aegon judged you as a child who had weird interests; but Aemond understood you as someone who had a very interesting side underneath a gentle demeanor.
“I hope you do your duty well, Aegon”, muses Aemond thoughtfully.
“How else should I do? I am the heir to the Iron Throne. I am not allowed to forget that”, and then Aegon shoots an amusing glance to his younger brother. “What a shame the crown cannot be shared with you, though.”
Aemond limits himself to a roll of eyes, but Aegon knows he agrees with his sarcastic remark. But soon they are distracted of their small talk for the heavy iron doors of the Red Keep are about to open, with the King’s herald announcing your name and your father’s.
Every sound dies before such announcement, but what matters is how you are seen by your betrothed. Aegon looks astonished by the woman you’ve blossomed to. Your silver locks tied in perfectly braid seem to reinforce your heart-shaped face, whose intent lilac eyes mirror innocence.
Your rosy lips open shyly in an inviting smile, and Aegon cannot help wonder what it would be like to kiss you. It doesn’t really help that your black gown reinforces your curves.
Aemond too cannot help lingering his gaze on you. A damsel in every sense of the word, you are like a character of the novels he used to read as a child. Fond memories of the time spent together in this period rush in the back of his mind.
Lovely as always, he thinks to himself, suddenly aching for the idea of never having you. But… he cannot help himself either, can he? Must Aemond be the second in everything, a shadow of his brother?
“Greetings, niece!”, King Viserys smiles down at his brother’a child. He leaves the table to greet you properly, and Daemon is smirking proudly in response. The rogue prince is more than aware of the attentions you caught, specially of two royal princes, which only fuels his ego.
His ambitions will fruit, he knows.
“Your Grace, my uncle”, you dip to a curtsy. “I appreciate your warm welcome.”
“Soon we will be united as one once again. Tradition shall follow like has always been dictated since the days of Old Valyria”, boasts King Viserys. “Y/N is such a pearl, brother. How on earth did you manage to produce a lovely daughter?”
“A question I often ask myself, brother”, says Daemon, proudly. “She is my only girl, very precious to us. We don’t expect a marriage that is below of the prize she is.”
“Father!”, you protest shyly.
“Don’t be too humble, daughter. It’s the true”, he smirks at you, gently ruffling your hair. “We must always be aware of who we are.”
“Then let us celebrate this union. I notice our sister hasn’t come. What happened?”
“Rhaenyra is heavily pregnant, in due time to labor now.”
Whilst they exchange amenities, you are heading to your seat when Aegon comes to greet you. This tall, handsome man, whose looks mirror yours, astonishes you with such a charm that your knees go weak.
It doesn’t really help your case that Aemond is promptly joined by his side. You blush.
“My lords”, you curtsy graciously. “I appreciate the warm welcome.”
“My lady”, greets Aegon, pompously. “How different you look.”
“Forgive my brother”, subtly Aemond meddles in the conversation. “He lacks gallantry when it comes to words. You have grown to a beautiful woman, cousin.”
You detest how the presence of these two men affect you. Worse, that not only your betrothed allures you, but so does his brother.
Aegon flushes, irritated with how poetic Aemond is towards you.
“How could I when a beauty like our dear Y/N stands before us? A mortal could not voice out the most proper form to express such an awe.”
“Oh, please. I am unworthy of these praises though I deeply appreciate them. Shall we enjoy the rest of the evening together? I have missed the company of you both for a while.”
You smile. And soon subtle rivalries dissolve. How could they deny you anything?
***
It’s been a curious, unspoken agreement that you arranged with Aegon and Aemond. The mornings are spent with the latter and the evenings with the former. The evening you spend by your soon to be mother-in-law, whom you manage to charm.
Today, you are flying with Aemond. You come to figure out how you two have lots in common: the same taste for history, philosophy, art and even politics. Not to mention, dragons, of course.
“You are nothing like your father”, muses the quiet prince, once you two land the dragons somewhere nearby a lake, out of the people’s sight.
“This is something I hear often”, you smile at him, eyeing his handsomeness even though part of you admonishes for desiring a man who is not going to be your husband. “But we have some traits we share. Like the taste for wilderness. We are not easily tamed.”
“I’ve always sensed you had something of the sorts in you, Y/N. You pose as the good lady, but are you?”
“I am dutiful”, you say. “I do my duties. Never claimed or aimed to be perfect.”
“Neither have I, even though my dutiful performances have been somewhat misinterpreted”, he snorts.
Before you know, you take his hand in yours. Unconsciously, fingers are laced.
“I think you’ve been misunderstood for a very long time, dear Aem. And I wish so many of us saw that.”
Silence hangs for a while. You and him share a long gaze. You find yourself wishing he kissed you, but Aemond knows his place. He looks away and withdraws his hand. Never before you felt so cold. So you sigh.
***
All the whilst you engage in conversations with the Queen, learning queenship from Lady Alicent herself, Aegon finds Aemond in the corner of the court, observing you with a mix of admiration and distrust.
“If this was about to any other man, I’d have him hanged for looking at such a manner to my wife”, says Aegon, amused.
Aemond has the decency of blush and look away.
“Pardon me for prying, brother.”
“What is there to be pardoned? She is a handsome woman, I give you that. Like honey, too sweet to avert the gaze away”, says Aegon, encouraging his brother to share. “Rumour has it that Aegon shared Visenya with his Baratheon brother.”
Aemond scoffs.
“Visenya wouldn’t play this part, surely. You must be mistaking to Rhaenys.”
“Either one, they shared her, didn’t they? And like my namesake, Aegon was no jealous man.”
The one-eyed prince turns his head to his older brother, intrigued by the subtle suggestion.
“What the fuck are you trying to say, Aegon? Straight to the point if you may.”
Aegon smirks at him.
“I think that, since she likes you too, we should both take Y/N as our wife.”
***
Aegon awaits you this evening in his privy chambers. He’s been anxious for this moment, even though with his mother’s strong presence at court, he didn’t have any moment alone with you aside of public courtship.
A knock of the door is heart, taking away of his thoughts. The prince of Dragonstone stands, concealing his unusual insecurity. When he opens it, he is struck at the thought of you.
So beautiful in the green color, your full breasts almost out of the tight gown you purposely chose to reinforce your curves. The desire alight in Aegon’s eyes makes you dripping wet in your legs, but you know this is the farthest you go to tease him.
Right?
“My prince”, you dip to a curtsy as you walk inside the door, shivering when hearing the click that locks it behind you.
“My princess”, he then takes the chair for you to sit and makes sure to pour red wine in your glass before serving you himself.
When earning you a smile, Aegon forgets that he one day was the charmer, never the charmed.
“You look gorgeous, cousin.”
“I could say the same about you, lord. Thank you. I’ve been looking forward to hearing more of you, out of the prickly ears of the court”, you tell him.
“Indeed. Formalities are not my thing, I’m afraid. But at least the king has been noticing me”, Aegon doesn’t usually open himself this way and when noticing what bursted out of his tongue, he prefers to occupy himself with wine.
You do notice, though, and try to captivate him by sharing something about you.
“Despite being close to my family, I was raised to be somebody else’s wife. I know I was not allowed to choose my heart, even if my parents did.”
Aegon reads you, you spot some early distrust despite the mutual attraction. You feel eager to please him, but you hold back yourself. Eventually he settles.
“I do lament that I am your groom and not Aemond.”
You blush, but do not fly away of the subtle accusation.
“Well, I was always closer to Aemond in age and in interests, my dear, but this does not mean I regret that you are the one I will espouse.”
His slander fingers play on top of the table, and you find yourself holding your breath. When does this tension suddenly come up?
The stare he gives you pierces your soul and you know that, if he wanted you to, you’d be on his knees before him, pledging innocence. But why does the mere image of you in this position arouse you?
“I am hard to love”, muses Aegon, resented. “I am by no means jealous of you and Aemond, but…”
And your anxiety takes your best, of course. You rush to his side and take his hands into yours, surprising him by the urge of your usual composed manners.
“My prince, my liege, you are no hard to love. Your smile enchants me, your eyes read my soul like no other. Your jokes bring a smile to my lips, your good manners give me the certainty that I am not marrying a monster.”
“How can you be certain of this?”, Aegon inquires, puzzled.
“We are lights and shadows. I saw both of them in you and I still choose you.”
He knows you speak the truth, so he lifts you and pinning against the wall, Aegon kisses you. You realize you’ve been longing for this kiss, wishing to feel the taste of his mouth, to pair your tongue with his.
Your husband to be is as sinful as you are a saint. And yet you let him have his way with you. Soon, his mouth is on your neck and sounds start to leave yours.
“My beautiful princess”, Aegon works to kiss your chest, almost ripping your gown with his teeth to get into your breasts.
“Calm down, lord. I need to get to my chambers in whole state”, you smirk at him.
And it’s when you are surprised by how easily he slips to his knees, his lustful eyes wiping off your smirk.
“L-Lord…”
“I want to hear you call my name, Y/N”, he lifts the skirts of your gown, caressing your paled thighs. “I want you to sleep thinking of me doing this to you. Rewarding for being such a good princess.”
And he at first inserts his finger in you, getting you aroused. You are surprised to find yourself so wet, as well as he.
“Never before untouched?”, Aegon asks you, sounding too anxious.
“Never”, you moan, eyelashes barely lift as you search support in the wall. Your hips begin to follow his finger, and you get scandalously louder as his finger finds deeper ways to get to your core.
Aegon watches you in awe and lust, ignoring the bone he has for being the reason you are coming undone—and not Aemond. Though he wills to share with his brother, he knows that ultimately the prize of having you like this is his.
“Let me ruin you”, he groans before replacing his fingers with his mouth.
His tongue dives into your womanhood, twirling around your clot before sucking it skillfully. You are breathless, burning, aching for this prince. Your mind goes blank and all you can think is of this blissful experience of being ruined by this man to whom you are expected to marry.
He drinks every juice he can of you, not stopping until you are about to release. And when you think you do, he removes his face away and stands in absolutely composed.
“Aegon!”, you protest, vexed to be left this way.
“You don’t think I’ve noticed how you teased me?”, he smirks, approaching to you. “We will fuck you, my lady. My brother and I. You wait and you will see.”
Never before you got so pink before.
And when Aegon smiles devilish to you, you are surprised by your own thoughts of wishing this to be true.
***
Aemond is practicing his sword this day when he spots you at a corner, unaccompanied. The one-eyed prince, who happens to be shirtless in this lonely practice, tosses away the sword to greet you in a gentleman like manner.
“My lady Y/N”, he doesn’t mind to get a shirt and dress when you stare at his perfect abs, which makes him smirk. “To what do I get the honor of your presence?”
“Aegon has departed to Citadel to visit Daeron”, you tell him, trying to control your impulses. “The queen forbade me to follow him. She said I’m under your charge, lord.”
Aemond moves from the yard to get to you. You find yourself holding your breath at the proximity of him. Suddenly both arms lock you against the wall.
“Are you now?”, and here he lifts your chin, forcing you to look at him. “Are you playing with us, my lady? Have you been instructed to turn me against my brother?”
Though he sees he’s offended you by the suggestion, Aemond does not take back what he said. And even though you are annoyed by these unflattering words, you don’t run from a fight either.
“You may call me many things, my prince, even though I judged you to know me better than this. But I am no home wrecker.”
And here he pins you against the wall, much to your dismay. He begins to unlace your gown, completely not fearful of being caught. And you barely protest, already dripping wet by how he presses his knee against your womanhood.
“Who am I to judge?”, he lowers his gaze to your mouth, your neck and your breasts. “These are lovely nipples, Y/N.”
You’d have decency covered them, but guessing your moves have Aemond hold your wrists above your head. You are at his mercy and he knows it.
“My brother told me about the gowns you wear, aware of how they reinforce each. But he did let me take a look at them before him.”
A sensible person would have been horrified for being in this position, but you feel aroused by this. To know they wish you like you wish them makes you warm.
As if he reads your mind, Aemond starts to caressing your right nipple, pleased to see you horny.
“Aemond…”, you moan.
Naughty that he is, underneath that dutiful demeanor he puts so well to the public, it’s this prince who speaks dirty to your ear.
“You will be fucked so well, my love, that you shall not have to choose, I promise you. Aegon and I have always shared what we loved the most”, and saying so he bites down your ear. “I will fuck your pussy until you burn and you will feel it with my being. The first born son will be mine, though. I know it.”
And then his indecent tongue paces around your lips only to get to your neck and then…
“Aemond!!”
Like a thirsty prince, he sucks each nipple, biting it, craving it desperately. You want more, you are doomed, you know well. Your pious conscience accuses you of whoring, but nothing is stronger than giving yourself to this prince.
But of course Aemond has to interrupt it.
“We best not get caught”, he whispers, smirking victorious before the protest you shoot him in a gaze. “I thought you liked it, no?”
You pull him for one long kiss, though, and every lust is carefully put aside as Aemond, albeit hesitantly, kisses you back.
Not long after that, the rogue prince realizes that he left more than lust in the taste of your tongue.

The marriage, albeit scandalous, happens. Fortune rises underneath tradition. Some might say this is Aegon and his wives in other forms, back to the flesh in another version… certainly a good omen for those who believe in old stories.
Feasts and tournaments are thrown by the king and his brother to celebrate this unique union, never before seen until the day Aegon espoused his two sister wives.
“I hope that you know what you are doing”, says Rhaenyra at this day of your marriage. “These are wayward boys, one of whom nearly got into a fight with Lucerys.”
“I remember that night well, mother”, you try not to sound so irritating at your mother’s grudge. “This is not the time to speak of what has long been buried in the past. If I recall well, they have amended their relationship and all is well, as it should be.”
“I only worry over you, my daughter.”
You gently place a kiss over your mother’s face and smile at her.
“I aim as high as any Targaryen would in my position.”
“As ambitious as your father”, so chuckles Rhaenyra.
“I am his daughter too, after all.”
And you two smile in confidence.
***
Later that evening, bedding ceremony begins. You want both of your husbands there in your chamber. And when they show up, you cannot believe your eyes.
“Lady Y/N, you are beautiful”, says Aegon, already partially naked. He’s the one to pull you, making sure you stand between him and Aemond.
You feel Aemond’s cold hands rest in your hips, giving you shivers.
“We have all been longing for this, haven’t we?”, he murmurs in turn.
You turn your head at him, barely blinking as he is about to kiss you but this moment is stolen by Aegon, who plants his lips against yours. It’s a slow kiss, peppering for what’s coming all the whilst Aemond slowly lifts your nightgown, caressing gently your tits before removing it over your head.
“I am too fortunate, I’m afraid”, you whisper before stroking Aegon’s face. “Such handsome men.”
You kiss him back before breaking it to do the same with Aemond. Now Aegon leans to kiss your neck, whilst his brother plays with your tits.
You get hornier and naughtier, moaning softly before these teasings.
“There’s no need to play the good girl anymore, Y/N”, says Aemond, biting down your lip.
“Indeed”, and here Aegon pulls back your hair as his brother inserts his finger in your womanhood. “We will ruin you, won’t we, Aemond?”
You gasp as Aemond fucks you with his finger, trying not to lose control as Aegon kisses your neck and plays with your tits again.
“We will, indeed. But I need a reward for all this waiting…”
“We both need it”, agrees Aegon. “Show us what you are capable of, Y/N.”
So indecently you go down to your knees. Your eyes spark bright when looking at each erected manhood, unsure what to choose first until you start to caress Aemond’s all the whilst giving the privilege to Aegon’s.
You come to agree with both of them. You are hardly a saint, or divine by any means. You lust after each, and you devour these cocks with devotion. Pausing in between, you let them guide you.
It’s indecent, it’s sinful, but you like this. And so do they.
“Let us treat our princess kindly”, says Aegon, leading you to bed. “Not sparing my seed in these red lips…”
And here he uses his two fingers to play with your mouth, which you promptly devour. Only then he inserts them into your womanhood. Oh, how condemned you are. Such is the price for loving these wayward brothers.
“You may go, brother. I will watch”, says Aemond.
His voice purrs something in you and you find yourself a beggar. Where has your pride gone to? Oh, nowhere to be found.
“My lord!”, you push Aegon to your lips, so you kiss him fiercely and passionately. “Please!”
Aegon smiles like a lion, aware that he has the prey he wants under his power. Thus it is he finally makes way to penetrate you, deflowering his beautiful flower after years of repressing his desire for you.
In the meantime you and Aegon consume this flame, Aemond burns alone, touching his manhood before the scene he watches, which in turn wakes in him darkest desires. He wants to possess you, to make you his, to dispute over your flesh, to hear you call his name.
But there is something powerful in delegating this to Aegon, submitting to his brother’s will even here.
As Aegon collapses over you, he doesn’t let his brother to waste his seed. Though your womanhood is sensitive, you ache for more. They know you are as hungry as they are.
Aemond doesn’t need to be summoned. He crawls over your body, and here with no eyepatch to cover his eye, you stare at old wounds, at his taunted gaze covered by a beautiful sapphire.
“Fuck me”, you mewl under his powerful stare. “Aemond…”
He is gentle at first. Slow is his touch over your curves, taking his time in holding your face, drinking on your pleading eyes as he cups your nipples, touching each until they are hardened enough to make you beg. Only then he bends over you, kissing you passionately, prompted to release his fire.
It’s indeed a very wild evening. Soon Aegon comes to dispute you. Suddenly all of the three are sitting in bed, and you are in heaven. Standing in between them, your husbands’ mouth devour your exposed skin, and new levels of pleasure are disclosed as you are under their power.
Neither part dares to stop what’s been doing however until you throw your head back at Aemond’s shoulder and let a cry out.
“The dragon lady has burnt”, so whispers Aegon in your ear, watching as Aemond kisses you softly.
What a night. Oh what a night indeed. And you couldn’t have been happily married, could you?
***
Epilogue.
What has started as a lustful game between the three parts soon results in a successful partnership. You do love each brother and they love you in turn.
To a general astonishment, this works like in Aegon I’s days. You rule court, playing your part well. Welcoming guests with your smile and good manners, much of which you’ve learned from the former Queen, who actually cares for you like a daughter she never had.
All is well. You are Daemon Targaryen’s daughter after all. Peace is established successfully and familial relationships are restored. Soon, your brothers are back to frequent court with their wives whom you delight to call sisters.
In due time, you prove to be as fertile as your lady mother. You produce fifteen children, not many of which come to adulthood. These are:
1. Jaehaerys II, who takes as his wife his sister; had offspring of their own.
2. Rhaenyra, wife of Jaehaerys.
3. Maegor, lord of Harrenhal; he first took as espouse his sister, Daella, but she died in childbirth; then he contracted a new marriage to Minisa Tully.
4. Maekar, lord of Summerhall: took as wife his sister, Rhaena.
5. Rhaegar, died in infancy, known as Prince of Winter.
6. Rhaena, Lady of Summerhall; wife to Maekar.
7. Baela, lady of High Garden.
8. Daeron, became a Maester at Citadel.
9. Aerys, lord Hightower; married lady Gaena Tyrell.
10. Helaena, lady of Winterfell.
11. Mariah, died in infancy.
12. Visenya, lady of Casterly Rock.
13. Daenys, lady Arryn.
14. Viserys, ward of the West.
15. Alys, Viserys’s twin and wife.
***
“You are still as gorgeous as ever”, whispers Aegon in your ear.
It’s late evening and both of your husbands are found in your arms. You still shiver at how King Aegon speaks to you, how he plays with your tits. You purr lightly.
“Oh Egg, you know not what you speak”, you giggle quietly. “Despite my efforts in looking elegant to you and Aemond, I gave birth to fifteen children.”
He plants a kiss over your forehead, careful in not waking Aemond, who sleeps against your left breast. From certain perspective, you three are engulfed in one another.
“I maintain my word. When did I ever look out of our bed, wife?”, says he, once very familiar amidst brothels before marrying you.
You turn at him with malice in your eyes as you speak.
“No whore does what you taught me to do to you”, you smirk.
Aegon sighs heavily, sinking into your lips again.
“Always restless.”
You chuckle.
“Not always”, you lean against his chest. “But I have been blessed, that is for sure.”
As you stroke Aemond’s hair, you slowly drift to sleep, glad that Aegon is looking after you.
“Haven’t we all?”
Chroniclers maliciously say you’ve married Aegon out of duty and Aemond out of pleasure, but what do men know of a woman’s heart? You love them both, with no difference of affections. And you are more than pleased to know they are not jealous when it’s about you.
It’s how it works. Tradition, power, yes. But love and confidence too.
You sleep this evening like you slept many others in the former twenty moons: as the luckiest woman of the Seven Realms.

Rhaenyra gets the crown...maybe her dad waits to die just a bit longer, they are all there. So Baela and Jace are in their *starry eyed young engaged people* haze. Aegon is...on a sobriety kick because Rhaenyra ordered it. Helaena and Rhaena have bonded and since Rhaena is always with Luke, Helaena is now also always with Luke. (Helaena didn't know so many people could be actively nice to you...) the little twins are also very attached to their new realtives, and with four royal toddlers about it's all hands on deck. Rhaenyra and Helaena are also bonding a bit over being pregnant together.
Aemond wants to kill Lucerys...or...no...no or. He wants his eye!
Rhaena has caught on though, since she listens to Helaena and has decided that needling the man who insulted her and her sister, stole her mother's dragon (it would be one thing if he'd waited just a little but really) and has hated Luke for causing an injury in a fight.
So she pokes at all his sore spots with (totally malicious) glee. Oh yes, she and Luke are all but married, and she has an egg now and it will hatch and likely that hatchling and Arrax might eventually mate and won't it just be lovely how untterly bound she and Luke are?
Helaena...finally in a position to...poke at her brother and well, Luke always attends her and Rhaena at balls, and sees her beyond "something Aegon has".
So she might just join in that the twins are getting so attached to Luke, why, he's taken each out on Arrax already for a first proper flight. (He's also one of the first people to begin undoing some of the over-spoiling Aegon had done on Jaehaerys inparticular...)
Helaena is aware that rumors abound that she's practically Luke's mistress the "way they all act...or his second wife" (Luke wants to know how just...actually speaking to Helaena, and treating her like a human being worth acknowledging beyond her baby making abilities makes him a seducer...)
Poor Luke is standing there with two ladies extolling his vitues and how close they are to him while Aemond is glaring dagger(s) at all three of them, mostly him....and dammit Aemond kinda also wants to be Luke's mistress...or wife....no no he does not... (it all gets worse when Addam arrives at court...) (he's nice to Luke!, Luke smiles at him!)
Daemond thinks he should sort of step in...but it's all really, really funny. Also he'd never realized how much of his little shit self Rhaena had inherited....

Could you share some of your Lucemond fic recs?
I have a lot of lucemond recs, but the ones I like the most are these:
the beast you’ve made of me by MaidenMotherCrone. Probably my favorite hotd fic of all time. Lucerys is taken hostage by the greens in Storm’s End, and it all goes downhill from there. Incomplete, but has consistent updates. Currently it only has eleven chapters left. If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know I always go crazy when this updates.
Hiding in plain sight by Unohanabbygirl. A bit dark, but not extremely so. It’s abo, Lucerys goes into heat and triggers Aemond’s rut. He is raped by Aemond in Storm’s End, and left for dead. He’s nursed back to health by strangers who don’t know who he is, while everyone else thinks he’s dead. Updated pretty consistently.
Forget me not by Unohanabbygirl. A modern reincarnation au. Everyone remembers their past life except Lucerys. Targaryen royalty, as well as important figures from the ASOIAF saga, are historical characters. It treats topics like sexual assault and drug abuse, as well as trauma in general. One of the best fics I’ve ever read. It’s incomplete, but updates are consistent.
The — heir of the tides; series by thehundrethpoet. It’s a canon divergence fic where Lucerys takes out his eye on Storm’s End. Series is incomplete, but the first two parts are done and the third one is about to be completed and updated consistently.
The Key To Your Heart by Avonne. A modern au about lucemond’s relationship. I don’t know how else to describe it without spoiling it, but I enjoyed it a lot. It’s completed, and a second part is currently being written.
Calendario de Adviento para una muerte asegurada by Aynnita. It’s written in Spanish (my first language). It’s also a modern au where the Targaryens are still royalty, and lucemond go to a boarding school in the North. Lucerys broke his engagement to Rhaena, and his parents want to know why. He tells them he has a partner, and promises to introduce them on Christmas Eve. Of course, both sides of the family are estranged. It’s incomplete but not abandoned, with only one chapter before it’s finished.
The gilded lilies series by corviids. After being believed to be dead, both Aemond and Lucerys return to King’s Landing just as Rhaenyra is taking control of the Red Keep, and it seems the gods are planning something for them. It’s abo, Aemond is an Alpha and Lucerys an Omega. This is my favorite out of the few fics with this concept. The main piece is incomplete, but it has several one shots post canon that are finished.
Arsonist’s Lullaby by orphan_account. Aemond sides with the blacks during the dance because he falls in love with Lucerys. It’s one of my favorite takes of this particular canon divergence, and it’s completed.
The Holiday by archimedesprinciple. A modern Christmas au where Aemond is part of law enforcement and Lucerys works at a bank. They are still related, but the incest is toned down to ‘standard levels of modern aristocracy’. There are many unresolved issues in this one, but it’s completed and has a happy ending.
I hope you like these recs! I scoured my ao3 bookmarks for these ones, but there’s more I didn’t add on account of them being in completed and not being updated for a while.

Birdie, I have something I HAVE share with you. I was reading about how Alysanne took after her grandmother Alarra Massey in her coloring and I simply must share a plea for Lucemond’s final surprise child in misty dream. Aemond’s prayers are finally answered when he gets a dark haired girl, a child who seems to be a carbon copy of her great-grandmother Rhaenys. The other children, while shocked at the late pregnancy, are somewhat relieved with their new sister. Children always seem to give Luke an energy boost and Aemond has finally gotten his dark haired daughter, but they’re mostly relieved with the idea that there will be a daughter to care for their parents when they age. Jokes on them because all this girl wants to do in learn to fight. She’s inherited Rhaenys spirit too: proud, highly intelligent, a cold and serious demeanor, stoicism and a skill with weapons that rivals Aemond own. But also like Aemond, she has no charisma—only successfully ever charming Luke and a few siblings. No rizz to be found here, just like her kepa. In adulthood, she’s taller than all her siblings except Gaemon. She’s also a staunch loyalist to Valyrian traditions. Once she claims Meleys as a child, a fiery temper makes itself clear.
Because she’s the dark haired girl Aemond has been waiting for, the spoiling gets even worse than with the others, meaning he allows her to train with weapons. In a sad way, she becomes the child he trains and hunts with, goes over military history with, flies with the most. This is something that causes a little resentment in Aenys-it would be one thing if she simply acted like the rest of his spoiled sisters, but even as child she proves herself to have the natural bearings of an heir, despite being the youngest. This causes a really strained relationship that lasts decades. She grows up during an interesting period in for Aemond and Lucerys marriage because it’s a point in time where Aemond has really matured and learned to step back from ruling Summerhall all on his own. He and Luke split the duties more evenly now which means that when his daughter is old enough to develop her personality and hold a sword, Aemond has a lot of free time to spend with her.
However this is what causes a lot of tension with Aenys. He should be having the time of his life: he has the freedom to shadow Luke, learn to rule from him—which means he gets to spend all day with his muna. However as the new sister begins to grow, he develops this idea she’s gotten the childhood he should have had, one not stifled by Aemond’s harsh way raising his heir to be. This is a feeling he’s struggled with before with Valerion, but that was easier to stomach because his brother never found interest in what heirs should be taught. Again, this causes a lot of resentment because this girl seems to be better at everything than he was at his age, and she’s smart enough to see right through him. It gets even worse when it becomes clear that while she doesn’t have her eye on the Summerhall, she wants nothing more to be to one to inherit One Eye from Aemond; a desire that only grows when her Aunts Baela and Rhaena gift her Rhaenys copper armor after Meleys has been claimed. Aenys thought he’d be free of a sibling rivalry when Gaemon left, but this new child is even worse. She’s also unimpressed with him, which fuels his inferiority complex. It’s like having a child with the personality of your father look down on you, though the actual kid looks like your mother.
She isn’t really close with Saera, Gaemon, Naerys, or Valerion since they’re away from home due to either marriage or study, nor Daenys who is fostering at Driftmark. Despite not really knowing him, she respects Gaemon the most since he’s a knight, but clashes all the time with Rhaella since a) she’s stolen Aemond’s attention in a way Rhaella can’t seem to understand (Rhaella goes through the same thing Aenys did when Valerion was born) and b) because she finds her rash behavior/personality childish. She’s protective over Maegelle because she sees her as a the perfect kind of Lady a knight and fighter would protect (actually Maegelle and her give me sapphic opposite coloring Lucemond vibes). However the two of them will eventually come to a crossroads in that she doesn’t believe Maegelle should worship the Seven (which you’ve sort of implied she’s dedicated to?). She believes the religion to be a weakness and a danger to their House. From her extended family she admires Rhaenyra and idolizes Baela, but finds herself the happiest with Viserys since he’s the only one to keep up with her intellectually; they speak for hours whenever he and Saera visit home. (Not sure if Elaena and Daena exist here but if they do this trio raises hell).
I’m not sure if you’ve made Rhaegar and Maekar official md kids, but I have thought of some characteristics for them as well if that is not too presumptuous? I like to think Rhaegar is basically a male version of Sansa. He dreams of marrying Princess of Dorne while spending the days writing poetry. Out of the entire family, he’s the one who has copied Luke’s fashion sense the most (though he’s definitely judged for it because unlike Valerion he doesn’t share the unusual nature of their muna’s body—meaning more feminine clothing can’t be explained away). Dorne is his only hope for a accepting spouse, but also like Sansa he really wants to be an official prince of the realm and manage (not rule) a great House. He takes inspiration from romanticized stories of Luke during those early years of Summerhall in that he wants nothing more than to rear children and support his wife who will run things (something he never voices aloud). (On that note I really do think seeing Luke, a man, play the part of a mother would most definitely influence the way his sons would act with their own children. Having a son who couldn’t get pregnant but still observes the way in which a man can act as a mother does and want to emulate that (but physically couldn’t) would def be something Luke and Aemond would have to reconcile with.) When it come to material goods, he’s spoiled more than anyone. Pretty boy gets pretty things. His own egg never hatched but when they’re old enough his sister takes him on rides on Meleys. Maekar becomes Summerhall’s own little Master of Whispers (nothing he loves more than gossip and reading his parents’ mail). He’s extremely devious but hides it behind a tired facade. His own dragon hatched when he was a teen, and it’s a blue version of Caraxes, the hatchling is a permanent fixture curled around his neck. There’s no one he respects more than Luke after growing up with all the trade deals he created with Essos. (Also he’s very much a dark horse in the regard that he’s the resident slut of Summerhall—no one else seemed up to the task and he definitely inherited the horny gene from his parents. Enjoys entertaining visiting lords’ sons (Lucemond def not seeing any grandchildren from this one). Maekar has a whisp of madness worse than any of his siblings that makes itself known when he hears vitriol about his brother Rhaegar (he’s beaten one or two people to near death who’s tongue became too loose in their judgements). So this final daughter sees Rhaegar as someone to protect just like Maegelle, and Maekar is her partner in crime when she needs one. I like to think of these three + Daenys as the “Post-Essos” babies. Aka the result of when Lucemond went majorly horny whenever Luke took a business trip. Daenys after that first trip he took with Rhaella and Gaemon to Pentos, Rhaegar is after the Summer Isles, Maekar after Volantis, and this last daughter after Braavos. I like to think these cities somehow influence each kid.
Make no mistake, she doesn’t want power, she only wants to fight, hunt, fly, and debate with Aemond. Btw all this time she spends with Aemond makes her develop an obsession towards Luke, less of a muna complex and more a need to protect. Lucerys actually has a special place in his heart for her, not because she’s the youngest or because of her hair color, but because of the calm that she brings Aemond; Luke doesn’t need a friend in these later years (he’s busy enough running Summerhall with Aenys by his side) but he is indescribably happy that Aemond has finally found a friend, a person to speak to in confidence (a role his brothers never filled). I absolutely adore the idea that Viserys prepares her to be the next Hand after himself (which will definitely fuel Aenys inferiority complex for the rest of his life). It’s bitter to acknowledge, but while Aemond knows Aenys is a fine heir for his legacy, he can truly entrust the safety of Summerhall’s place in the realm in the hands of his youngest daughter, with Meleys by her side and the Hand’s pin on her jerkin. Did this whole creation come from wanting Lucemond kid that Arya, Brienne, or Lyanna would look up to? Most definitely. But I also love the idea of Aenys going through a quarter life crisis because he is threatened by a child that would so clearly make a perfect heir. The only thing for this I need is a name! I was thinking Aelora or Jaenara, or maybe Luke gets inspired after a trip to Essos and chooses Shiera? Either way, I hope this is a welcome gift. By no means am I saying ‘add this oc to your story or else.’ Just me be like, hey the vibes of your story inspired this. Adopt her, use tidbits of what I’ve written, or just ignore!
oh anon i love this !!! i always love when yall come up with your own ideas for this little universe we’ve made up !!
any daughter that looks like luke is going to be spoiled ROTTEN. aemond is older and much softer by the time she comes around so he will let that girl walk all over him. she gets anything and everything and can do whatever she wants. she shows up to her married siblings keep on dragonback when she’s bored
as for the younger boys, i always envision rhaegar and maekar as opposite personalities that still get along really well. they still follow luke like ducklings but have to be more self sufficient since luke is a busy lord now 😔 they are more eccentric and wild since they are younger children and have less responsibilities. aenys finds them a bit annoying and maegelle generally dislikes anyone that stresses her out.

Six Moons Have Passed
A challenge for @asongofgoldenfireandblackblood
To celebrate and launch our time skip we have a scene challenge for all (or as many as you want) of everyone's muses! Write a scene (at least 200 words) or a series of scenes about important, major, or otherwise impactful moments in your muses lives that happened during the time jump!

Rhaenys celebrated her six-and-fifth name day with an informal picnic on the beach. As it also coincided with her and Corlys’ fortieth anniversary Corlys brought out wines and bubbles. Those who were able to attend we met by a spread of food on the beach, soft pillows and a relaxed setting in the sun. Rhaenys drank grape juice, keeping her and Corlys’ secret just a little longer, though she shared knowing looks with Rhaenyra who had been the first, and so far, only one to know yet.
A fortnight later Rhaenys felt the babe within her. At first, she had been unsure, but after a few hours of constant sensation she told Corlys, who had knelt down and kissed her stomach, calling the babe his little hippocamp. Laena had been their little squid and Laenor had been their little crab. A hippocamp, the Velaryon sigil seemed like the perfect way to complete their family.
About a moon after Rhaenys’ name day she and Corlys finally met up at The Red Keep with her mother. Rhaenys had insisted that her mother must be told, before the rest of the family and everyone else. Rhaenys’ mother’s reaction had not been unexpected, but ultimately Rhaenys knew her mother cared for her wellbeing and happiness.
Two days later Rhaenys and Corlys had managed to gather all their family at Driftmark for dinner. Rhaenyra and Daemon. Baela and Rhaena. Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey. Aegon, Viserys, Visenya, Baelon and Aemma. Corlys rose and announced that the family was growing and that it would not interfere with the succession of Driftmark.
By the middle of the 8th moon Rhaenys’ pains worsened. She could no longer ride Meleys, but still managed to see her daily. Sleep was becoming difficult and travelling between Driftmark and King’s Landing led to excruciating pain that threatened to render her bedridden.
When Corlys announced he was going on an expedition, Rhaenys knew she wanted to near family. And so, she spent half of the 9th moon and the beginning of the 10th moon at The Red Keep. Most of the time was spent in the tub, as the water relieved her pain and eased her worries. Being at The Red Keep, meant that Rhaenys was blessed to spend time with her beloved grandchildren. The pregnancy could no longer be hidden and soon the news spread across the Seven Kingdoms.
Rumours of dark magic from Asshai reached Rhaenys as she made it back to Driftmark during the 10th moon. The rumours only caused her to laugh. The pregnancy had been a surprise, even to herself. It had been Corlys who had made the discovery and broken the news to her.
Rhaenys disliked being alone. And when Corlys was called to the Capital she often asked her grandchildren to come and keep her company. Luckily, they were all indulgent of her whims and she adored getting to spoil them all in turn.
As the 10th moon neared its end, Corlys was once more called to the Capital, however, this time it coincided with Rhaenys receiving an invitation to visit Dragonstone. Corlys took her there and kissed her farewell, promising that they’d be together again soon.
Dragonstone was a heaven for the warmth craving hippocamp. Rhaenys made use of the natural heated pools in the pit. She loved getting to know Aegon and Helaena’s children even better and easily took on the role as the storyteller as they brought her book after book or asked her to tell tales of Meleys.
The gifts Helaena presented her with, brought tears to her eyes. Rhaenys blamed the pregnancy. Gifts for the babe, personal and beautifully crafted gifts, which Rhaenys later packed down with the things she looked forward to using with the new babe. New things, old things from Laena and Leanor, gifts and heirlooms, everything for their hippocamp.
When the 11th moon rose, Rhaenys and Corlys took The Sea Snake to King’s Landing. The ship filled with their belongings as they intended to stay until the wedding of their grandchildren, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon and Lady Baela Targaryen.

i mentioned this before but. while rhaena (& alysanne for that matter) would love rhaenyra as a child & would genuinely try & look out for her, the more she grew up the more annoyed she became. if anything she'd be a lot like rhaenys in the sense that she cautions rhaenyra except in her case it's happened. several times before. first to rhaena herself then to aerea then to rhaenys & now rhaenyra. she'd be happy that valyrian primogeniture is FINALLY restored & at least viserys is actually getting THAT right but that took several times of tossing aside other eligible candidates who were more suited & were more closely related. but like. everyone's now suddenly all "RHAENYRA'S THE HEIR!!!!!!!" when. ok. WHERE the FUCK was that same energy for HER back in her days despite the fact that SHE was AEGON THE CONQUEROR'S FAVORITE GRANDCHILD. where was that same energy for AEREA. &. rhaenyra is white (or at the very least white seeming). & rhaena is a dark skinned black woman & a lesbian. & she NEVER served a man. she took her role as aenys' heir VERY seriously especially after her brother died. & then jaehaerys took her throne from her. & like. the more rhaenyra grows older, rhaena gets more & more annoyed especially in regards to the fact that she. blatantly LIES to everyone at court passing jacaerys, lucerys & joffrey off as her trueborn children & she's internally just like "lmao thats not a velaryon" (bc she'd Know, she & alysanne are literally the product of a targaryen man & a velaryon woman & they Do Not Look Like That & this is why i say that if harwin strong was visibly indigenous or smth it'd be. somewhat easier to hide this bc it'd be the fact that the three kids have brown hair & not the silver gold hair of the valyrians or the natural hair of the velaryons) when rhaena, a lesbian, did her duty & had TWO trueborn children (not that she necessarily has a thing against bastards, she wouldnt really care but while she understands that laenor probably wouldnt be able to do anything, although she'd be confused as to why alternatives weren't used like literally just Giving her the thing so she could.... yeah, it's the fact that rhaenyra blatantly LIES about it at court & expects everyone to just go along with it without question) as was expected of her regardless of whether or not she wanted it & while she doesn't like the greens at all (because she doesn't trust the faith of the seven At All & she makes an exception for aemond at least until he Did That & helaena), she sees that they have a point & she. comes across as VERY spoiled to rhaena & not in a good way when rhaena herself did literally Everything right. & that's not even getting into the whole shit w/ rhaenyra marrying daemon (which i think she would try to protect a younger rhaenyra bc that would trigger her bc of .... maegor) & laenor & his supposed murder. like. literally the only reason why rhaena would even support the blacks at all is bc its better than the greens & bc alysanne & her descendants that she cares about are there.

I know legacies still has a long way to go but can you drop any hints on lucerys' thought process? Not asking to spoil but i keep thinking about how he was trying to make aemond jealous by mentioning rhaena and him having sex but like... why? He gets jealous over aemond smiling at the staff, tells him he won't share him then goes to (supposedly) get back with rhaena.. I'm trying not to be too harsh to him because the fic is mosrly from aemond's pov & this entire family has unresolved issues (luke has a multitude) and we're still waiting on more info regarding himself and rhaena, and his view of aemond. Though I'm theorising that the 2 missed calls were actually to let aemond know that he's going to driftmark not necessarily for the aegon situation (not entirely at least) but idk guess we'll see
well, lucerys is insecure enough to the point where he bases his self-worth on whether people like him or not. he knows aemond finds him attractive enough to casually sleep with him, but wants to know more. in his perspective, he understands there’s still malice and hurt between them with the eye situation, storm’s end, and everything new that’s happened since they’ve rekindled (which is a fuck ton). he also knows aemond can be detached enough from a situation to not care but still show up for it, meaning he could totally be having sex with him without really any deeper meaning. that’s why when he sees him interacting with other potential interests, luke shows that childish-insecurity streak. he ultimately needs to know if he has the same affect on aemond as aemond does on him. i mentioned this a while back on this blog but the main reason why i chose to write through aemond’s pov is because he’s basically ‘😐’ and maybe two other moods tops so he’s really hard to read.
we do know aemond’s peeved by the comment, but in the moment, luke probably didn’t gather that information. aemond makes jabs at him and rhaena's relationship during chapter 9's argument but it doesn't give away how he actually feels about them. and keep in mind, the only time lucerys ever feels like there’s some affection is through the roughness of their hookups which still isn’t a good reference. aemond isn’t good at prepping, he’s not soft at all, and basically takes all of his frustrations from life (the blogs, the family situation, his childhood traumas, his failures) out during sex. it’s a horrible cycle that allows lucerys to be confused and act out.
and i don’t think it’s really spoilers to say that rhaena and luke are definitely not back together though. there’s still greater forces at play with luke’s inheritance and the combination of aegon and daemon’s infidelity being exposed so just know if someone tells lucerys to jump, he asks how high. aemond’s not the only person who gets to handle his image or is the real first basis of his affection (rhaena). we’ll see the beginning of those repercussions/how aemond deals with not being able to fully control luke next-next chapter though...
what we will be getting is a rhaena and aemond sit down/deeper interaction this update which i’m very excited for!

The scene where Lucerys laughs is awful. It shows him as a spoiled boy that has no remorse for the awful shit he has done.I think Luke is the sweetest little guy,but that was awful if you have any type of thinking capacity, just put yourself in Aem shoes or simply think about how disgusting is that Luke wasn’t reprimanded in any capability ,a true failure in Rae part.
Honestly, idk. I don’t 100% like sticking for either the Black or the Green Team, but in this case, I understand what he did.
First of all, to go in order: regarding the pig thing, yes, maybe he shouldn’t have mocked Aemond the way he did when they returned to King’s Landing. But in some part, both Aegon and Jace would be to blame on that topic as well because they made fun of him too with the Pink Dread thing since he didn’t have a dragon before he claimed Vhagar. So it’s not 100% Luke’s fault or even spoiled kid behaviour.
Secondly: he took Aemond’s eye, yes, we all know that. But he was doing it FOR A REASON. Luke was not only defending his cousins because Aemond got violent with Baela + Rhaena and started hitting them and throwing them to the floor (iirc) when they confronted him about stealing Vhagar, but as well he was about to hit Jace in the head with a rock. Perhaps Aemond wouldn’t have done it, we will never know for sure if Aemond would’ve actually hit Jace in the head with that stone, but now you should put yourself in Luke’s shoes.
Imagine you’re an 8-year old child, and you see that your uncle is getting violent with your cousins and then is grabbing your brother by the collar of his shirt and is about to hit him in the head with a rock. In the adrenaline of the moment, you will OBVIOUSLY do what Luke did (or anything else) to stop the situation and defend your family in anyway you can. It’s not like you’re going to pause for a moment and think if you will cause him any suffering or if you’re being shitty. Both Rhaenyra and Alicent were defending their children too, so obviously they wouldn’t reprimand what they did to one another.
Sorry if there was any misunderstanding?? But I just wanted to make my point clear. I really don’t like showing full support to one team or another and I prefer to like all characters equally in this blog, but I just wanted to speak my thoughts on these scenes.

► Luke and Jace in High School | 「AU」

pairing: Jacaerys and Lucerys Velaryon x gn!reader
a/n: This is situated in high school. I don't usually physically detail the reader so that feels included, but personality is something apart. English is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes.
warnings: curse words, mentions of sex (just for Jace in his 18 years obviously!)
 Jace ↺
Jace is definitely a cool guy.
He is the complete golden boy package: perfect son, popular, part of the team, has high grades, is liked by teachers, girls and boys.
He is the ideal shoulder to talk to and vent, always with the best (or worst) advice.
He is totally protective with his younger brothers, and as he is already of age, he ends up taking them to school every day.
He helps Luke with his interests (girls or boys) and some activities, and if he notices that some idiot has tried to bully his little brother... Oh boy, some ass will be kicked!
Even though he is open and confident, Jace is a little reluctant when it comes to his feelings for you. He doesn't want to lose your friendship, but he makes his interest in you clear in certain actions.
When some guy or girl looks at you too much and his hand squeezes your waist or hand. He always sits next to you in class and ALWAYS tries to be your partner in activities. He starts to give you stronger and longer lasting hugs whenever he leaves you at home, in addition to a kiss on the cheek or forehead goodbye.
Once he almost kissed your lips by mistake, turning red as a bell pepper.
He would definitely be your date for prom. It would take all of Velaryon's courage and confidence to extend the invitation without stuttering or blushing. It would be casual actually, without much pressure.
But-
When prom night rolls around he would probably confess his feelings to you. He was a gentleman all night and his hands would never leave yours. He would kiss you sweetly while you slow danced, so happy when you returned the same affection.
You would be his first time. Oh, what a great night!
— Luke ↺
Luke is an adorable little thing.
He is his mother's sweet boy and loves to be spoiled and protected by her.
He spends hours playing on the Xbox with Jace and Baela and always wins at the end of the game. He's a cocky winner. He's great at games and technology in general (he'd probably do computing in college).
He's in his first year of high school along with his friends — mostly boys — and his cousin Rhaena. He isn't as popular as Jace, but he doesn't attract any negative attention to himself either.
He is shy with people who don't know him but can be a little shit with his uncles, brother and cousins.
However, even being lovely Luke is not as successful when it comes to dating. He's sixteen and still hasn't been kissed.
He asks Jace for some advice on how to be more confident and firm, but doesn't know he's as brave as his brother.
He turns red and nervous as he approaches you to try to talk (sensing Jace's watchful eyes on the situation).
You think he’s really cute and listen to what he has to say with a warm smile (he mirrors your smile with a warm heart).
He's funny and kind, and his big blue eyes are always bright when he's next to you. He loves when you touch his hair with gentle hands and tell him he's so nice and lovely.
When Jace calls you sister-in-law during the ride home, Luke is pretty sure he's shot his brother just with one loke. (Although not completely untrue in future).

Modern/ABO Lucemond fanfiction
- When Viserys died he left everything to his daughter, brother and grandkids (Rhaenyras kids of corse) several houses and mansions around the world, his company, his money, stocks .... all in all several millions $
- So Alicent and her kids were left with nothing and in a terrible finacel situation since:
- Aegon (beta) was a highschool dropout with a alcohol and gambeling problem
- Alicent (omega) never worked before (she was a gold digger, or used as one, that is up for discussion)
- Daeron was in middle school (alpha)
- Helaena (beta) had graduated from highschool but had problems with autism (everyone else had problems she is just so sweet, not her fault her family can't see that) so she was working part time with kids
- Aemond (omega) was about to finsh highschool and since he could not bare to leave his family could not go to collage
- Otto is dead (we are all so sad) (Daemon problably threw a party)
- So they moved into a small aparment and tried to find work with was difficult for several reasons, mostly their lack of experience, Aegons drinking problem and the fact that most people were freaked out by Aemonds eyepatch
- All of them got paid the bare minimum wgrn the had jobs and whenever they had a bite saved up Aegon would spend it on himself
- So in his desperation Aemond used his status as an Omega and got a job as a dancer at a stripp club (Alicent nearly fainted)
- He danced behind a one way mirror so he never saw who he danced for and who it was his was undressing himself for (no touching ever)
- Aemond also took hormons to make his chest and ass grow (he hated the way it made him feel and look but he needed the money)
- Meanwhile Rhaenyra, Daemond and their family ran the buisness and slowly everyone grew up - Jace (beta) studied business to one day take over the company
- Luke after turning out to be an alpha to everyones suprise went to Driftmark to study merean biology and he learnt how to sail from his grandfather
- Joffrey beta got into highschool and played sports (he already had offers from collages for a full scolorship -
- Aegon and Viserys got into a privat school which they enjoyed and Visenya enjoyed her life as Rhaenyras youngest and daddys little girls with lots of sibling so spoil her (not presented)
- Baela (alpha) became an aphlate and Rhaena (omega) studied language and traveled
- After Luke graduated and passed his sailer purment Jace and some of Lukes friend dragged him to a stripped club (guess with one)
- They insisted Luke should have some fun and hired a stripper for a privat dance, they heard of a stripper nicknamed ,,The pirat" and thought it would be perfect to celebrat Luke offically becoming a sailer.
- Luke blushed but let himself be talked into it and the moment he saw the half naked omega through the one way mirror he felt his jaw drop, because in front of him dancinging in the most suductive poses was his oncle whom he had not seen since he was 14
- Aemond had chanced, he used to be so scary and intimidating and now he was dancing around a pole in a string tanger and a BH that seemed so small, well that did not matter when he took it of.
- Luke knew he sould look away but he couldn't and he didn't want to.
- The last time they talked Aemond told him he was a dirty bastard and his mother a whore, so this felt like sweet karma and honestly Aemond was hot
- So Luke sat there hard and with a shit eating grin, watching his uncle dance
- Once it was over Luke claped an said "Wow uncle, it's so nice to see you again. Even if I honestly didn't expect to see so much"
- Aemond went first pale and then red before he grabbed his underwear and ran away mortified
- Luke couldn't help but chuckel before going back to his brother and friends, but he decided not to tell anyone about Aemond.
- Aemonds heart nearly stopped when he heard the voice of his nephew, it had been years since the had seen each other but somehow he know instandly that it was Lucerys. Blood shot into his face once he became aware of the state he was in and so he flet, like the coward he once acussed Luke of being.
- His face burned, his intire body burned with shame, how was Luke even hear? This had to be a nightmare. But it wasn't and he knew it.
- At the end of the shift one of his coworkers aproched him and handed him money, saying it was a tip from one of his clients. Aemond knew immediatly from whom it was.
-He wanted to throw it away but he was not in a situation in with he could turn down money, so he took the 200$, feeling dirtier then ever before.
- The next day at breakfeast his mother anounced that they would meet with Rhaenrya at their old home, to celebrate Lukes graduation.
-Aemond wanted to die, he didn't want to face Lucerys, he didn't know it he could but it seems like he had no choice.
- On the other end of town Luke was grinning after this mother told him his aunte and uncle would attend the party thown in his honor. He could no wait to see Aemond again.

We’re Burned For Better - Chapter Three
Chapter Three
---
The next day had turned out to be quite the series of events. Aelora, amongst many other things, bore witness to Daemon beheading Vaemond Velaryon, in defense of her Mother. Vaemond had called her and her brothers bastards, and Rhaenyra a whore.
If Daemon hadn't done something about it, Aelora would have. She didn’t take kindly to insults towards her family. While it was true that her brothers bore no resemblance to their father, she didn’t let that get in the way of defending them.
To tell the truth, she harbored no great affection for her Father, Ser Laenor. He was a kind man, even kinder for fathering children that were not his, if there was to be any truth to the rumors. He loved Aelora, as any father would, but he never made any attempts to strengthen hers and his relationship.
Aelora’s Mother told her it was because she resembled the Targaryens. Her spirit reminded him of his sister, Laena, who he greatly missed.
When he “passed,” and Daemon married Aelora’s Mother, she was happier for it. She always enjoyed Daemon’s company, and of her siblings, he seemed to prefer her. He had no shame in hiding it. He was infinitely better at fathering girls.
Aelora was happy to have Rhaena and Baela at her side during her time at Dragonstone, as well as Princess Rhaenys and Lord Corlys, who often visited. She missed them dearly when they left, although she was soon after sent to King’s Landing. She was very happy to hear that Daemon had brought them along to the city with him.
Aelora had a great love for the Blacks. She was extremely loyal to them, and when they were threatened in court, she stood by Daemon's side without so much as flinching.
Helaena gasped and turned away, shielded by her mother, even Aegon taking a step back. Aemond just watched, slightly bewildered, but intrigued.
He met Aelora’s eyes across the room, and her face was stoic. Brave. He had always liked that about her.
That night, the King ordered that the family dine together, united as one. It went about as well as could be expected with all the estranged family members in one room.
Aelora had grown quite fond of Daemon since he had married her Mother, and she shared an amused glance across the table as Alicent said a prayer before the meal.
She looked over towards Aemond, to see if she could catch his gaze, but he had his eyes dutifully closed. Whether he was actually praying, or just attempting to appease his own mother, she did not know. Still, she’d have to tease him for it later.
Aelora’s Mother announced the betrothal of Jacaerys and Lucerys to Rhaena and Baela. The news was taken surprisingly well across the table, and Aeloraa smiled fondly at each pair, truly grateful to see them all happy. Even more so grateful that she was finally getting true sisters.
Aegon, being the bastard he is, had to spoil everyone's fun. Aelora supposed he couldn’t help himself, it was in his nature to be a perpetual nuisance. Still, that fact didn’t make him any less insufferable.
Aelora only heard the tail end of his words to Jace, not only embarrassing her brother in his attempt, but her soon to be sister in law.
“Hold your tongue, Aegon. It would be a shame to see you lose it.”
Aegon grinned, narrowing his eyes at Aelora. “Always a pleasure, aren’t you?”
She was sidetracked from her response by the King congratulating Luke on his inheritance of Driftmark. The toast was short, once again interrupted by Aegon antagonizing Jace.
Jace clenched his jaw. “I believe my sister told you to hold your tongue. Are two warnings necessary, or are you just that daft? You can play the jester if you wish, but you will hold your tongue before my betrothed.”
The King stood, expressing his sorrow to see his family so estranged. He removed his mask, giving Aelora a view of his decaying face. She fought to keep her face steady, not wanting to offend him. She watched with respect as he did his best to stay upright, and instill the importance of the message to everyone.
“Set aside your grievances. If not for the Crown, then for the man who loves you all. So dearly.”
Aelora looked around the room as Alicent helped him sit, watching everyone’s faces. No one could seem to make eye contact, staring at their plates. Suddenly her Mother stood up, raising her cup. The King’s words seem to inspire a round of toasts, all of which struck Aelora. Knowing the history of her Mother and Alicent, she felt a twinge in her heart at their words, smiling as she watched them commend each other.
Of course, the peace only lasted so long. The revered toasts game to jokes, blows to blows. Aegon angered Aelora’s brother, who stood to look Aegon in the eye. At the intensity of the stares, Aemond stood as well, staring them both down.
Rolling her eyes, Aelora cleared her throat, ever so slightly. Aemond caught her glare, and decided to sit, rather than endure her wrath. Jace and Aegon took it as their cue to follow, sitting and half heartedly making up, at least as cordially as they could without hitting each other.
Helaena stood, and as much as Aelora loved her, she rolled her eyes, thinking that she couldn’t bear another awkward toast. To her surprise, although she didn't think Helaena intended it, she took a dig at Aegon, wounding his pride.
To Aelora’s amusement even more so, when the harpist began to play, Jace asked Helaena to dance, who gladly accepted. Aelora smiled at the pair, thinking of the possibilities of what could have happened if Jace had been promised to Helaena. Maybe everything would be different, and Aelora wouldn’t have to watch Helaena sit with her children all day while Aegon was off somewhere.
The thought saddened her, but she smiled as Jace made Helaena laugh.
The peace was once again overlooming, if only for a moment. Seeing her family smile brought a smile to Aelora’s face. She laughed as she watched Jace and Helaena dance, if you could even call it dancing. Her Mother’s laugh was bright, warming her heart. There was nothing more in the world Aelora enjoyed more than seeing her happy.
When the King groaned in pain, and was carried off by his guards, Aelora knew it was the end of the peace. He was holding the family together, and without him, it was bound to crumble.
The final straw was the roasted pig, placed in front of Aemond on the table. Aelora covered her mouth with her hand in realization, silently willing him not to react. She wasn’t so lucky, because Luke snickered, and Aemond, never the one to let his pride be wounded, stood up for the final toast of the night.
“To the health of my nephews. Jace, Luke, and Joffrey. Each of them handsome, wise…strong. Come, let us drain our cups to these three Strong boys.”
Aelora finally stood, giving him a look of warning. “Aemond.”
Jace squared his shoulders. “I dare you to say that again.”
“Why? ‘Twas only a compliment. Do you not think yourself Strong?”
“Aemond!” Aelora said louder, but she wasn’t quick enough.
Jace quickly walked over, swinging and punching Aemond in the jaw. Aelora gasped, although she did nothing to stand in the way. Aemond pushed Jace to the ground, guards suddenly filing in. Aelora only stepped in when Aegon grabbed Luke, who was trying to come to his brother's defense, and pressed him to the table, holding him still.
“Unhand him or lose that hand,” she said, picking a knife up from a stray plate.
Reluctantly, Aegon let go, and Aelora pulled Luke into her, pushing him towards her Mother. Aelora whipped around the table, moving next to stop her twin, but Daemon had beaten her to it. He held him back as Aelora came to step beside him, and she overheard Aemond’s words to his mother.
“I was merely expressing how proud I am of this family, Mother. Though it seems my nephews aren’t quite as proud of theirs.”
Aelora’s Mother ordered her children to go to their quarters, but Aelora remained by Daemon’s side as she watched Aemond stand opposite of her.
Aemond looked at Daemon, not necessarily willing to challenge him, but then he looked at Aelora. He saw her face, riddled with anger and disappointment, and finally chose to step down, turning and walking out of the room. He didn’t look at her as he left. He walked straight past her, so close that all she had to do was reach out and touch him, but she didn’t.
She let him go.
As people began filing out of the room, Daemon turned to Aelora. “You should have hit one of them. Gods know the bastards deserved it. I would have approved.”
She nodded, still seething. “There’s still time for it, I assure you. They’ll wish for it when I’ve finished with them.”
“I’m proud to call you my own.” He smirked at Aelora, patting her shoulder before walking out of the room. “Make it hurt, darling.”
Aelora’s Mother and Alicent were all who were left, except a few guards and servants. She suddenly felt the urge to cry, and she rushed over to her Mother, nudging into her side. Rhaenyra ran a comforting hand through Aelora’s hair, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
“I think it’s best we go back to Dragonstone, my love.”
Aelora’s eyes widened. “You mean me too?”
“Yes. I’ve missed you dearly, and I cannot bear having another child on Dragonstone while my firstborn is away from me. You will come home with us in the morning. Don’t worry, you can visit on Meraxes whenever you want.”
Aelora felt like she was going to be sick. She desperately missed her home, but the idea of leaving her family in the city was enough to make her cry. How was she going to tell Aemond?
Alicent shook her head, taking Rhaenyra’s hand. She placed her other hand on Aelora’s arm. “Please, don’t go. You’ve only just arrived.”
Rhaenyra nodded, sighing. “Let me see the children home. I’ll return on dragonback.”
Aelora’s shook her head, and she turned to her. “Mother, you can’t come alone, not in your condition. I can see everyone home, or I can come back with you.”
Rhaenyra shook her head, cupping Aelora’s cheek in her palm. “No, love, I need you with your brothers. You’re the only level headed one out of them all, including Daemon. I want to know that you’re safe, that you’re all together. Say your goodbyes.”
Aelora wanted to argue, but she just nodded in defeat. She looked to Alicent, who gave her hand a comforting squeeze.
“Helaena will want to say her goodbyes. To her and her children, they’re quite fond of you. And Aemond…I know he acted tonight without cause, and I will not defend it. But please, let him see you off, too. He sulked for a month the last time you left. He’s too prideful to come to you himself, and he knows he’s angered you. I won’t blame you if you don’t say goodbye, but I’m urging you to. You know where he’ll be.”
Aelora nodded. “Of course, Your Grace. He may have made a fool of himself, but I know I can persuade him to apologize. I’ll say goodbye to both of them, I promise. Thank you for the opportunity.”
Alicent smiled at her with a genuine fondness. She turned to Aelora’s Mother. “You’ve raised a fine daughter, Rhaenyra. She’s just like you.”
Rhaenyra smiled. “Yes, I’m very proud. I don’t know where she gets it all from. Go ahead, say your goodbyes, my girl.”
Aelora nodded at them both, turning to leave the room. She knew where Aemond would be, it was where he always went to sulk.
Sure enough, she found him up on the hill just outside the dragonpit. Vhagar was too large to stay in the pit, so she slept outside when she stayed close to the castle. Aemond always went to the pit, standing on a perch that overlooked the hill so he could watch Vhagar.
Aelora supposed it was because, while Aemond was a very independent person, he didn’t truly enjoy being alone. With Vhagar nearby, he could still feel like someone he connected to was closeby, without ever having to go to another person and face the risk of embarrassment.
Half the time, he’d choose to come to Aelora. The other half, this is where he’d be.
She clenched her jaw, willing herself not to shout at him. It wouldn’t accomplish anything, and it would only cause him to sulk further. She could see his shoulders square, and his body tense. She hadn’t made her presence known, but he had picked up on it anyway.
“If you expect me to show you pity, you have the wrong idea. Do you want to tell me what that little performance was?”
He said nothing, but she could see him flex his hand, balling his fingers into a fist.
“I suggest you speak now because I will be gone by morning.” This got his attention, and he turned his head just enough that he could see her. “What?”
“Mother has ordered we go back to Dragonstone,” she informed. “I tried to get her to let me stay, but she wouldn’t hear it. I don’t know when I’ll be back.”
Aemond hummed, his eyes cast to his feet. He just nodded, turning back to face Vhagar.
Aelora scoffed. “Really? You have nothing to say to me? If you let me leave now without an explanation, don’t bother sending a raven because I won’t receive it. So, what will it be?”
He turned around to fully face Aelora, taking a step forward. “I…I’m sorry.”
Aelora raised a brow. “Sorry? You’re sorry? It was one dinner, Aemond. Surely you could have made it through without adding any more fuel to the fire. I understand your resentment towards my brothers, and I know Aegon was no help, but for fucks sake. You had no right.”
“Jacaerys insulted my family!” Aemond said, taking yet another step towards her.
She took a step forward, shortening the gap between them both. Her eyes were full of anger, her voice bitter.
“No, Aemond, no he didn’t. Your brother made snide remarks, not only to Jace, but to my soon to be sister, and Jace stood up for her. If Aegon is who you are offended on behalf of, you have misunderstood who your true family is. You, however, insulted my family. Belittling my brothers is one thing, even I do it when they’re being uncivil. But they did no such thing.”
Aemond wouldn’t meet Aelora’s eyes, looking down at the ground.
“To question their legitimacy in front of the entire family, and in front of the King no less, is to question mine. Or have you forgotten I’m a so-called Strong, too? I may not have the looks, but I am every bit of his child as my brothers are, if you truly believe it to be so. I will not have you think any less of me because of it.”
He met her eyes at the accusation, his face softening. “Aelora, you know I would never question that about you–”
“Do I, Aemond? Do I know that? Because you seemed pretty content to do so tonight. Hear me when I say this, I can’t be more clear about it. I don’t give a shit who my real father is. I would be just as proud to call Ser Harwin my father as I was to call Ser Laenor my father. Just as I regard Daemon as my father. The truth of it matters not to me, and it shouldn’t to you either. Do you think of me less because of my parentage?”
“No–”
“Then why question it? Why, in an effort to humiliate my brothers, would you drag me into it? What purpose does it serve you?”
Aemond nodded ever so slightly, his shoulders slumping. Reluctantly, he reached for one of Aelora’s hands, and she begrudgingly accepted.
“I know. I acted on impulse, and I didn’t think–”
“Exactly, Aemond,” Aelora said, although she didn’t let go of his hand. “You didn’t think.”
“I’m sorry.” She felt him squeeze her hand ever so slightly. She squeezed back.
She brought her other hand up to cup his chin and turn his head to face hers. Aelora held him still, so he had to meet her gaze. Her voice was soft.
“Answer me this, then. I know you have no great love for your own father, and that is understandable. If you discovered that he wasn’t your true father, tell me in truth, would it really matter? Because if it doesn’t, why should mine? Does my parentage really matter that much to you? Or any of my family’s, for that matter?”
He shook his head. “No. It doesn’t matter. It is no one’s fault what family they’re born into.”
“Exactly. Blood isn’t what defines a family. Your family is who you choose it to be, and the rest doesn’t matter. I don’t give a shit about blood. My Mother is my family, Daemon is my family, my brothers and their betrothed are my family.”
Aelora intertwined her fingers with his, pressing a kiss to the back of his hand. “You’re my family, you insufferable idiot. You, and Helaena, even your mother. And that is enough. That is who I pick. Are you hearing me?”
He nodded, face softening, his shoulders relaxing. His voice was quiet. “You’re mine, too.”
“Good,” she nodded, pulling him along with her. “You’re going to come with me to apologize to your mother, Gods only know what she must think of me and my brothers now.”
“She likes you. She smiles when I mention you.”
Aelora grinned to herself, tugging him along. “Fine, we can do that later. But we are going to say goodbye to Helaena, I won’t leave here without doing so. I feel so bad for her, cooped up everyday with no one to talk to. Promise me you’ll be with her more. I know she’s lonely. Promise me.”
“I promise, Aelora. But why am I coming with you to say goodbye, I am not the one leaving.”
“Because…I don’t want to leave you alone just yet. I know it has been months, but it feels like I’ve only just arrived, and now I will be without you again. I’m taking all the time I can get…and, in the event that we run into your brother, you will be here to stop me from doing anything rash, like maiming him, or possibly killing him, I haven’t decided yet.”
Aelora could hear him chuckle, knowing from the sound of his voice that he was smiling.
“That’s my girl.”

Age Confusion
You know I think the show producers/writers etc might have made a pig’s ear out of some of the character’s ages/ the timeline of the show, I was rewatching the series and in ep 2 Viserys says that Rhaenyra is 15 years old. Episode 3 is a 3 year time jump. Now I’ve never been particularly good at maths, in fact it was the only subject in school I struggled with, but I am sure that 15+3=18, So Rhaenyra should be 18 in ep 3 yet Viserys says that she is 17 years old. So did the writers just make a mistake here? Was Viserys so drunk by this point that he forgot how old his daughter is? I mean I suppose you could say that it wasn’t quite 3 years and Viserys was just rounding it up and she is close to turning 18. But it is still confusing. But it gets more confusing when you get to ep 8 because Condal said in the inside the episode that they did the six year time jump there because they wanted to age up all the kids into young adults/adults and that they are all between 17-21 years of age. But again the maths just doesn’t add up because there is a 10 year time jump in ep 6, no jump in ep 7, then a 6 year jump in ep 8. But that is only a time span of 16 years. We know that Rhaenyra had her sons during that time jump of 10 years, even if she fell pregnant right away the oldest any of her children could be is around 15, 16 at a push. Also I refuse to believe that this kid here is 17 years old he looks 14 at the oldest:

At least with the others they look like they could be around the ages of 17-21 although I still think Alicent’s children look noticeably older than Rhaenyra’s. But also we know that Aegon is 13 is ep 6, he was 2 in ep 3, there’s a one year time jump to ep 4 making him 3 then a 10 year time jump making him 13. Add the six year time jump and he should only be 19. Helaena who is 2 years younger should be 17 and we don’t know when Aemond was born in the show so who knows who old he should be.
I haven’t read the book because I don’t want to be spoiled but in the end I was so confused trying to figure out how old these damn kids should be that I did decide to look up the dates of births of the characters from the book and also when the dance started/ year Viserys died, that happens in 129 AC. Using this date I was then able to work out how old each character should be. Aegon was born in 107 AC meaning he should be around 22 years of age. Helaena born 109 AC would be 20 and Aemond born 110 AC would be 19. This matches what Condal says though still doesn’t line up with the in show timeline where they should all be several years younger, also the characters do look around those ages in ep 8 and 9. Then you get to Jace who was born 114 AC making him 15 and Lucerys born 115 AC making him 14, this matches perfectly with the in show timeline but doesn’t match what Condal says about them all being between 17 and 21. Also just to make it more confusing Baela and Rhaena were supposedly born in 116 AC and are twins despite it looking like Baela is significantly older that Rhaena, that would make them the youngest of this older group at 13. Whilst I do think both Lucerys and Rhaena look like they could be around the 13-14 mark to me Jace and Baela both look older than 15/13 years old, they look more 16-17. The only explanation I can come up with here is that those inside the episodes must be edited and they just edited it really badly and Condal was only talking about Alicent’s children when he said they were between 17-21, like maybe their was a longer statement and it was something like Rhaenyra's children are between 14-15 and Alicent's are between 17-21 and they just cut it down. I don’t know I’ve clearly thought about it too much.
Anyway there definitely seems to be some inconsistences here with how old these characters are/should be and I have successfully given myself a headache trying to figure it all out.

What's the connection of Aegon the Unworthy to Rhaenyra? I've never seen or read anything in the lore of Rhaenyra being an Unworthy or problematic ruler like Aegon IV?
What I was referring to in my original post was that both Aegon IV and Rhaenyra were monarchs who put their personal pleasure and desires ahead of the realm and its laws. The power of the Iron Throne was a vehicle for them to use to satisfy their fancies and caprices, and little more. But the similarities do not end there: both were brazen about their affairs; both bestowed favor (or tried to, in Aegon’s case) on a lover publicly; both cared little for legalities; both used their obvious bastards to get the property of their purported fathers, Laenor Velaryon and Ossifer Plumm; both took action that threatened to send the realm into a civil war (Rhaenyra by having an affair and passing her bastards as trueborn heirs, Aegon by legitimizing his bastards and giving Daemon the sword Blackfyre, one of the visible symbols of Targaryen legitimacy - and one that had been used to argue that its wielder was the heir to the throne before - while casting shadow on his sister-wife’s fidelity and showing public disfavor to his heir to the point where rumors abounded that he was planning to disinherit him); both abused royal power even before they ascended to the throne, both were vindictive, cruel and consummately selfish. The list goes on.
As for Rhaenyra being a problematic ruler, boy oh boy. There is an abundance of evidence to that in the text that I’m wondering if perhaps you only read TWOIAF but not The Rogue Prince or The Princess and The Queen? The latter two really paint a picture a proper tyrant with a heavy inclination to abuse the law for her personal gain and pleasures, whether during her time as Princess of Dragonstone or her short tenure as queen.
Under the cut for length.
As Princess of Dragonstone, Rhaenyra’s most infamous act that bespoke of her indifference to the laws governing the realm she claimed as hers was her brazen affair with Ser Harwin Strong that produced three boys that she claimed fathered by her husband Laenor Velaryon, but who were facially the bastard sons of her lover rather than her husband. Trying to pass three obvious bastards as trueborn princes not only speaks of the extent of Rhaenyra’s belief of her own supreme power that (she thought) allows her to claim unprecedented privilege by getting her boys acknowledged as trueborn heirs based on her own say so, but also shows her willingness to flout the law and jeopardize the integrity of the line of succession for the sake of her own pleasure. According to Archmaester Gyldayn, it was high treason that Rhaenyra brashly committed by claiming bastards as trueborn heirs to the Iron Throne. Politically speaking, this was an awful political action that undermined Rhaenyra’s already tremulous position as heiress, but more importantly, it was an outright invitation for a future succession war even without the Dance happening. No one was ever going to accept the throne being passed to an obvious bastard while trueborn male heirs to King Viserys I lived, not the Westerosi nobility, not Rhaenyra’s brothers, not even her second husband Daemon the Rogure Prince who assuredly would have pushed for his two sons’ rights over the three nominal Velaryon princes. This decision on Rhaenyra’s part was a civil war waiting to happen, one way or another. The fact that she thought she could get away with it and that everyone would accept her kids’ parentage on her word is a testament of a despotic view of her power and what allowances it gave her, and a clear statement of her disregard of the laws governing Westeros. I mean, I don’t really have to argue how damaging to the realm such an attempt was, do I? The main novels made that argument quite effectively with Cersei’s children.
Of that inherently destabilizing act came two instances that set the tone of Rhaenyra’s behavior when it came to covering her treason, and emphasized her dismissal of the law as something that didn’t apply to her. The first is the tiff between her brother Aemond and her three Velaryon sons in which he called them Strongs that escalated to her second son Lucerys using a dagger to slash at Aemond taking out his right eye. In the aftermath, Rhaenyra demanded that Aemond be questioned “sharply” till he revealed where he heard the Strong rumor. She wanted Aemond, all of ten years old then, to be tortured so she could make a statement about her intolerance of the “rumors” of her sons’ parentage, completely ignoring the fact that someone armed her five-year-old child with live steel that he then used on his uncle permanently injuring him. Mind you, Alicent’s demand that Lucerys’ eye be put out in retribution for Aemond’s eye was just as monstrous, but two wrongs don’t make a right. Just because Alicent was awful does not make Rhaenyra any less awful. One wanted a child maimed, another wanted a child tortured.
The other example happened after the death of both Laena and Laenor Velaryon when their father Corlys was stricken by fever raising the question about the inheritance of Driftmark. Rhaenyra urged her goodfather to name her son Lucerys the heir to Driftmark, except, you know, Lucerys was not actually a Velaryon so he didn’t have any right to the Velaryon inheritance, no matter how Rhaenyra insisted otherwise. When Corlys’ nephew Vaemond objected and argued that Driftmark should pass to him because Rhaenyra’s children were bastards (admittedly purposely ignoring the claims of Baela and Rhaena Targaryen, Laena’s daughters by Daemon Targaryen, in the process), Rhaenyra had Daemon seize Vaemond and with no trial or due process, had him beheaded and fed his body to her dragon, an atrocity that was later compounded when Vaemond’s brothers went to Viserys I with their families to ask for justice and press their claim, only for the king to have their tongues removed, every single one of them, based on his previous edict that he’d remove the tongue of any who talked about the Strong rumors. That’s a gross mockery of justice and law, an infringement on the rights enjoyed by nobles, and a blatant show that Rhaenyra thought she could do whatever she wanted, even illegally seizing and murdering a noble with no trial. How very Aerys II of her.
Those are, unequivocally, the actions of a tyrant that also show what an awful political actor Rhaenyra was. There are some other examples of her bad political action during her time as Princess of Dragonstone, but I’m not going to get into them because being a bad political player doesn’t automatically equate to being a tyrant. Aenys was a terrible and ineffective political actor, but he was no tyrant. It just happens that Rhaenyra was both. Her actions during the Dance and her short tenure sitting the Iron Throne only damned her further on both accounts. Even at the height of her victory, her vengeance and whims proved her an appalling leader and ultimately led to her losing any legitimacy she could have claimed when her actions led to the smallfolk of King’s Landing storming the Dragonpit in a clear rejection of her rule (and to be fair, of Aegon II’s as well), and to even her most leal noble allies deserting her.
During the course of the Dance, Rhaenyra sanctioned the murder of Aegon II’s heir, the six-years-old Prince Jaehaerys, and started a rewarding manhunt for his daughter, the six-years-old Jaehaera and his youngest son, the toddler Maelor, that involved sending out “knights inquisitors” AKA torturers to wring information about them from the people. Strategically and politically, Rhaenyra prolonged the war in pursuit of personal vengeance and ignored Corlys Velaryon’s counsel of war-ending efforts. She insisted on inflicting severe punishments on those who served Aegon II, lined the walls of the Red Keep with severed heads daily (something that soured the smallfolk of King’s Landing on her and led to a comparison to Maegor the Cruel), refused to offer reasonable surrender terms to Lords Baratheon, Lannister and Hightower, and summarily had the Hand Otto Hightower and several members of the small council executed with Tyland Lannister sent to the torturers, all of which made bending the knee to Rhaenyra a rather unattractive option and ensured that the lords on Aegon II’s side would continue to fight to the end since their choices were death in battle or death after surrender. If all the roads led to death, why not go down fighting? Corlys Velaryon argued for pardons and hostages from the noble lords, for Alicent and Helaena to be sent to the Faith and Aegon and Aemond to the Wall, for Princess Jaehaera to be his own ward and in time wed Aegon the Younger in a conciliatory move between the two factions. Rhaenyra actively rejected any attempt of peace talks and chose vengeance instead.
She then doubled down on her brutality and went on to turn the smallfolk against her and alienate her own allies out of paranoia. She showed utter tone-deafness and lack of care for the people of whom she claimed the right to rule when she redirected resources away from a populace wrought by war and hunger and to preparations of a “lavish” party for her last Velaryon son to mark his installation as Prince of Dragonstone. Taxing the people to throw a party is damningly selfish in normal circumstances but doing it in time of war and winter when the people have been suffering for a prolonged period of time as it was (for a petty fight over the throne between two spoiled children no less) is reprehensible. The storming of the Dragonpit was a natural response and a testament to the level of misery the Dance inflicted on the people that facing fire-breathing creatures became an acceptable risk. This was a rejection of the dragons, greens and blacks alike, brought to head by Rhaenyra pushing a populace already pushed to the brink to throw a party. The frankly idiotic order for Addam Velaryon’s arrest and the execution of Nettles in the wake of the Two Betrayers and news of Nettles’ relationship with Rhaenyra’s husband Daemon came after that, and was crippling to Rhaenyra in every way.
First came another instance of Rhaenyra’s disregard for the law by ordering the arrest of someone who proved nothing but loyal to her and who later went on to die in her service for the grand crime of being bastard-born, made worse by her demand of Lord Mooton of Maindenpool to break one of the oldest tenents of law to kill a teenager protected by guest right under his roof. Which made his options to either defy Rhaenyra’s order which was tantamount to treason in her eyes and basically forfeited his life, or violate an ancient and widely respected taboo and bring down the wrath of the gods upon him (and face the wrath of Daemon and his dragon as well). That the Maidenpool maester showed Prince Daemon and Nettles Rhaenyra’s orders and was promptly followed by Lord Mooton’s defection to Aegon II comes as no surprise in the face of the “foul choice” the queen gave him. Second was the devastating result of that decision. Through her paranoia and vengeful impulses, Rhaenyra effectively forced her allies to turn on her. Besides Lord Mooton, that edict lost her her two most loyal supporters: Coryls Velaryon who warned his nominal grandson Addam of Rhaenyra’s orders leading to Addam’s escape and Coryls’ arrest, and Daemon Targaryen who helped Nettles escape then took off to settle a personal score with Aemond, abandoning Rhaenyra. Considering that Coryls provided like, half of Rhaenyra’s army and all her naval force, Daemon was the commander of her troops and her Protector of the Realm, and that he, Addam and Nettles commanded three out of the four mature dragons on the Blacks’ side, that decision was counterproductive to Rhaenyra’s war efforts and a serious blow to her military strength. It was only Addam Velaryon’s stalwart valor at the Second Battle of Tumbleton that prevented the greens’ descent on Rhaenyra in King’s Landing.
Too, and relatedly, that edict and its consequences also sent a rather damning message to Rhaenyra’s supporters and created uncertainty within her ranks. She was turning on her own allies by this point for absolutely no reason. She ordered a loyal dragonrider’s arrest for no crime just because two other dragonseeds betrayed her and threw one of her staunch supporters, her one-time goodfather, in the black cells awaiting trial and execution. If the queen could turn so easily on her most loyal subjects and on a lord with the weight, influence and familial connection to House Targaryen like Corlys Velaryon whose family served the queen faithfully and even died for her, if she gave orders to have her own husband subdued and delivered to her in King’s Landing, what’s stopping her from doing the same to the next lord who displeased her?
So I’d say that Rhaenyra was more than just problematic, anon. In light of how she showed herself to be dismissive of the law as something that didn’t apply to her, a dreadful political player who was more interested in serving her own wishes and wants than in anything that benefited the realm, and a dishonorable and brutal figure in both war and peace with no respect to law or social taboos or the rights of the nobility or the suffering of the smallfolk, I’d say she proved herself a tyrant and earned her place as one of the worst Targaryen monarchs in the text.
