so from what i can tell in your h.c's lucy gray, very understandably, starts off cold to coriolanus when they go to the capitol (shocker, girls don't like getting shot) is there ever a specific turning point where they sorta have a new normal (by their standards) and if so do you have a hc of that moment

I think that would only happen once LG sees the twins actually somewhat enjoy/get used to living in the capitol? Maybe its like a lightbulb moment for LG, her kids aren’t fighting over food anymore when they think she can’t see them, (tangent but,, I definitely don’t want the kids to come across as selfish(?) but they’re kids, they’re hungry n underfed, and its natural to fight over stuff w ur sibling. They know their mom does her absolute best so they try not to fight in front of her, but it must’ve absolutely broken LG’s heart when she first saw them fight esp over food. Prob also the first time she cracks n thinks maybe reaching out to CS wouldn’t be so bad, ofc she immediately dismisses those thoughts) they’re warm, and safe n under the protection of the most powerful person in panem. LG realizes she can’t keep believing that the capitol is the worst thing that could happen to her kids when she sees them so happy. Maybe it’s after they come back from their first day of school, it’s a 180 from when she sent them off, both kids were terrified and clinging to her skirt. If it weren’t for CS, she might’ve taken them right back into her arms and gone home with them, but when the twins come back after school all excited and animatedly talking over each other to tell CS n LG abt their day, LG feels relief and grief at the same time. Her twins were fine but now she knows their happiness means she can never escape CS or the capitol.

I think CS clocks this n finds it so amusing. Maybe he picks up the kids in his arms (for visual ref look at my fan art of CS carrying Maude ivory lawl) all while keeping eye contact w LG, only breaking eye contact to face each twin n tells them “slow down, one at a time so ur mother can hear you, right LG?” Or do u think he’d call her a nickname 👁️👄👁️

imagining how messy the luci geist dating reveal was [mostly for dan lets be real, he was having a mental breakdown]

dan was already upset when luci told him he was dating someone but refused to introduce them, a fact he vented about to bianca once they started seeing each other. only to end up feeling very vindicated when luci and his mystery partner broke up, of course he ended up feeling bad about how happy he felt considering how completely heartbroken luci was afterwards. it went on like that for a few months with dan comforting luci while still being kinda mad luci refused to really actually talk about who he was even dating.

then one day geist shows up at his doorstep out of nowhere pleading their case cause they are currently getting framed for murder and dan is the only detective they trust. dan is maybe willing to listen until luci walks in, sees geist, and immediately starts bawling. geist reveals why "wait, he never told you? we dated." dan is now mad a both geist for dating the man he's been in love with for practically his whole life and at luci for dating the fucking thief he's been trying to catch for over a year now. then the other thieves show up to try and fix whatever the hell is going on.

but then dan sees bianca, his girlfriend, there. who is apparently also a thief and never told him. but more importantly! she knew that geist was the one who was dating and subsequently broke luci's heart and didn't tell him

to say the least the fact that dan ever managed to end up helping geist with the whole framed for murder thing at all is a miracle, dan is a saint

question for the Vaxverse. so it's no secret johnny sits close as hell to people, usually with his arm on the back of the chair behind them. do you think after space station he's clingy, sitting next to Vax, and mindlessly touches the neural port where the chip was? and do you think kerry touches the port when they're cuddling? i like to they kerry and johnny do it just to touch him, and when they need a little reassurance that he's really there and alive they ghost their fingers over the pulse point on v's neck. thoughts?

The Vaxverse😭 I love it and oh my god I love this

Johnny and Vax always sit close to each other, after he gets his body back and it’s like the two try to merge again. And with their shared emotions and brains, means they always have Kerry sitting with him.

Kerry and V cling to each other already, Kerry massages his head and will sometimes massage where the relic had been, and Johnny as well. That’s normally where his hand naturally goes when the two sit in the Afterlife. Always touching him, always checking his pulse, watching him sleep and breathe.

V always sleeps between them, tucked under Kerry’s chin with Johnny holding the both of them. Johnny has woken up on several occasions to Kerry just watching V, will sometimes even check his pulse. And Johnny can feel his back and shoulders move with each breath he takes.

It’s a treasure to the both of them, feeling Vax breath, seeing him smile again. Sometimes they just need a little reassurance that their treasure is still there.

lockwoods anger isnt talked about enough. we see it after ellie jumps out the window and theyre in the storeroom when annabels source is gone, he kicks a shelf. then when theyre in the deprac fan after combe carrey, he punches the window. this is only two examples but im sure theres more. he takes his anger out in quite a scary way. everytime i rewatch or reread the books i figure out more about him.
